The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.
From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

-Remnant, Sanus, Vale, Beacon Academy, Library-
The sun began to set in the distance as the quiet brown colored library became coated in brilliant red and yellow hues, the students that normally use this place for quiet time or basic 'nap' spots all gone for the day.
Yet in a quiet corner of the library, a tall fair skinned young woman with long wavy black hair that went to her back, amber eyes with purple cateye eyeshadow, two black cat ears, a large black bow tied ribbon on the top of her head, a D cup chest and wide ass, wearing a black buttoned vest with coattails, a single black detached sleeve over her left arm with a silver cuff around the bicep, a single silver button on the front, black ribbons on each forearm, a small loose black scarf is wrapped around her neck, a white sleeveless high necked crop undershirt, white shorts with a zipper on the front of each leg, a gray magnetic backpack on her back with a black blade-like weapon on the side, blackish purple full stockings with a white flower shaped emblem on the hips and black low-heeled boots, was currently sitting in a chair, looking at her Scroll with bloodshot eyes.
This is Blake Belladonna, the B of Team RWBY and former operative of the once pacifistic organization, White Fang.
And she was busy with…a rather important matter, one that she couldn't put down or pass off as insignificant.
'Damn it.' the faunus thought while scrolling down the screen of her Scroll with her left index finger, several images of infamous criminal Roman Torchwick and the Valeian White Fang Sect flashing on screen for a few moments. 'No leads and Torchwick's still causing trouble. I need to know who that girl is, she's a wild card and possibly hiding something!'
Swish.
Swish.
Swish.
Swish.
'I need to find out what they are planning. I need to know why they would take a massive shipment of Dust and a Paladin from under Vale and Atlas' noses!' she thought while looking through several images, many of destroyed shops and the Paladin battle she was in several weeks ago. 'I need to catch them before they strike again!'
Swish.
Swish.
Swish.
Swish.
'Just one lead, that's it!' she thought while her head drooped down a little, her eyes becoming heavy as she felt her mind becoming slightly hazy. 'I must find them before they strike again! I must stop them from whatever they are doing!'
Swish.
Swish.
Swish.
'And I must find them on my own!' Blake thought before noticing an article titled 'Torchwick Strikes Again! Downtown Vale Set Ablaze By Exploding Truck!' and started looking it over, her eyes fixated on this article, regardless of authenticity. "Mmmmm….sloppy. Ramming a truck into a Dust shop after robbing the place dry. And what's this? Injured? Never thought the bastard was that sloppy."
As she thought about the idea of a criminal, one notorious like Roman Torchwick, being injured by their own heist, she began to smirk a little, her eyes twitching as she chuckled to herself.
"Yes, this will do for a lead. But what about the midget?" Blake muttered to herself as she stood up. "She's the wild card…did I use that term already? Nevermind, I'll find them and then bring them to justice."
But as she turned to leave, a sudden thought entered her mind.
Would her team approve of this?
'Heh, like they care. They don't know the severity of the White Fang or Roman Torchwick like I do. I'm the only one that truly wants to save Vale.' she thought before walking away. 'Let them plan the dance. I will be saving Vale on my own.'
(Some time later)
-Vale, Industrial District, Where's The House Co. Warehouse Sector 3-
The city skyline, adorned with faint lights within the blackness of the moonless night sky, loomed over the vast dark brown warehouses as several guards, each one wearing red and black suits with red shades, patrolled the perimeters for any intruders.
These were part of the Torchwick crime 'family', one that currently created a massive decline in Dust across the city and were placed here to keep those crystals under lock and key until it's shipped off.
Overall, it was a good paying job…and it was extremely boring to boot.
"Ugh!" groaned one of the guards while leaning against a wall, his companion looking annoyed at him for obvious reasons. "I hate guard duty!"
"I know, you keep saying that every time the boss picks us out for guard duty."
"But it's so unfair!" the guard snapped while kicking a can with his left foot. "We always get guard duty! Every single time!"
The other guard rolled his eyes while not noticing a shadow slinking on the rooftops above, masked by the overall darkness of the area itself. "You should be lucky the boss didn't blow your head off for that Paladin stunt."
"How was I supposed to know that the boss was with those beasts the SAME day when we had our annual bowling day!?"
"You were the one that managed the schedule."
"It wasn't me, it was Bob!"
"Bob had Dust cleaning tasks, not managing our criminal calendar!"
"Nuh uh!"
"Not this again, just move on from this." the other guard grumbled, knowing his fellow criminal 'associate' wouldn't stop until he either vented his frustrations or bored him to death.
"No way man! This is just bullshit!" the guard yelled while failing to notice a pair of amber eyes staring right behind him in the darkness. "It's always my fault for stuff like this! I'm new here but I get shit all the time! It wasn't my fault for the Paladin incident and it's not my fault that Bob placed his tasks onto me! ME! And now I have to guard all of this Dust for some bonkers plan that the boss doesn't even tell us about!? BULLSHIT! IT'S ALL BULLS-"
BAM!
The other guard jumped back in shock as a brief orange light illuminated the guard's head, a wet sticky substance splattering against his face as the eyes glared at him from the darkness. "Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!"
A low growl echoed in the darkness as the guard tried to turn around and run away.
BAM!
Only to get his head blown off by a well timed bullet to the face, the eyes glaring at the now headless corpse as they turned to the warehouse.
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
BOOOOOOM!
Instantaneously, the warehouse holding hundreds of stolen Dust, including Fire Dust, was ignited and caused the nearby buildings to explode, creating a blazing inferno as a shadowy figure vanished in a purple haze, leaving no trace of the assailant as the corpses were consumed by the flames.
(Elsewhere)
-Industrial District, White Fang Base 3, Break Room-
"Ugh!" groaned a female gecko White Fang operative, her long tongue licking the sides of her lips as she was currently sitting at a metal table, the room lined with white paint as a small tv hung on the far left corner. "Nothing but shipping Dust! For a human! I hate my job! And I hate being the only one in the room!"
As she leaned back against her chair, she recalled that she was supposed to be helping in the security room, watching monitors…something she hated even more than the humans that fear her for her long tongue.
"I should've taken that offer and joined the Vauco Sect, at least they have some excitement down there. Here? It's Dust here and Dust there. And Adam Taurus? He's gone bonkers yet everyone else thinks he's fit to lead!?" she groaned while rolling her head from side to side, cracking her neck a few times in the process. "He's just as bad as the humans, lionized my ass. On the next watch, I'm calling the Mistral Sect for a transfer before anything else goes wrong."
BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!
"Eh?!" She quickly looked up and saw the room flashing red, alarms echoing across the entire base as she felt like her luck went from bad to worse. "Fuck, me and my big mouth."
BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!
As the alarms blared in the faunus' ears, she quickly booked it out of the break room and down the now red lined hallway, hoping to reach the security room to find out what the heck was going on.
'An intruder? No, if that happened then I would've smelled them a mile away.' she thought while turning a corner, only to notice dark stains on the walls and floor. 'What the? Did the janitor forget to clean today? And…wait, that smell? Oil? No, rust?'
BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!
'Damn my sensitive hearing! I really didn't expect geckos to have good hearing at all!' she thought to herself before quickly opening the thick steel door leading into the security room and noticed that no one was watching the screens. "Eh!? Did those guys leave before or after sounding the alarms?!" 'I hope it was the latter, the White Fang doesn't need cowards in their ranks…then again. Some of these guys are kinda bonkers so who knows what's going on in their heads.'
BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!
As she looked upon the multiple screens, all fifteen of them, she noticed something that caused her stomach to churn and her eyes to dilate.
Corpses, multiple disfigured and gutted corpses, all strung across the base like broken statues as the same 'rust' dotted the walls and floors, broken masks forced down each of their throats with enough force to break their jaws wide open.
"Gods…oh gods…OH GODS!" she yelled in horror as she held back the urge to puke, especially at the sight of her fellow faunus' mutilated bodies. "Who did this!? WHO!?"
BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!
Looking upon the screen once more, the gecko faunus took quick notice of a figure…moving right towards the security room.
BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!
"Shit!" she yelled before turning around, the red hues masking her panicked expression, as she saw the door being cut in half by an unknown weapon. "Double shit!"
BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!
CLANG!
As the door fell to the ground, the faunus backed away, only to hit the controls as her eyes widened in disbelief.
"Y-ou-"
SQUISH!
And just like that, the screen turned crimson red.
(Two weeks later)
-Vale, Commercial District, The Ursa Major Club, Women's Bathroom-
The sound of loud upbeat music rang across the exquisite club and dance floor as its occupants either danced their hearts out, drank until they were more wasted than actual waste, or just guarded the club from random blonde brawlers.
In essence, it was a normal day at The Ursa Major Club, yet as the camera zoomed down the far left hallway towards the woman's bathroom, a short girl with a pink umbrella in her left hand walked out from one of the stalls with a sigh of relief on their face.
This was Neopolitan, second in command of the Torchwick Crime 'Family' and a trained assassin for those that crossed her.
Although at this point, she was trying to find more hired help, as for the last few days, the White Fang dum dums that Roman has been occupying his time with have been dropping dead like flies, and while she has no qualms with the faunus, she was starting to get bored of her 'recruitment' job real fast.
Looking upon the lower portion of the sinks, the young girl huffed while standing on her tippy toes to even reach the faucet, the cold water rushing downwards as she began to wash her hands.
Yet from a ceiling air vent above the girl, a pair of amber eyes stared downwards with utter frustration.
'Her. The one that let Torchwick escape.' the figure thought while watching the girl with a calculating glare. 'Hard to believe she is that guy's second in command. Yet I need to kill her boss and Adam Taurus. They are the serpent's heads that need to be cut, not her.'
Splissssss.
'Yet she is a criminal as well. All criminals need to die. No exceptions' they thought while watching Neopolitan's every movement.
"Kill her."
The figures darted to the sides while hearing a strange, almost dark tone from all around them. 'What?'
"Kill her!"
"Kill the bitch!"
"Kill her!"
"Kill her now!"
"Kill her! She's a murderer!"
"Kill her!"
"KILL HER!"
"KILL HER!"
"KILL HER!"
The figure shook their head and closed their eyes for a brief moment as the voices echoed in their head, becoming almost deafening to them, akin to a hornet's nest. 'Quiet! Be quiet! Just be quiet!'
Splisssss.
The sound of cold water echoed in the figure's ears, shaking them out of their stupor as they slowly moved the vent's cover off and jumped down behind Neopolitan, making sure not to be noticed until the last possible second..
Splisssss.
As Neopolitan turned the faucet off, she took notice of a figure right behind her and was about to activate her semblance before-
SWISH!
Her head was cut right off by a black blade, the severed body part falling on the ground as blood sprayed out and covered the mirror in viscus gore, the body falling to the left as purple glass-like aura shimmered over it for a few seconds before shattering into pieces.
"Good thing I caught her unaware, or that semblance might have bitten my ass." the figure thought before walking away. "Now, to do some pest control on this fucking criminal club."
Clang!
As the door was pushed hard by the figure's right arm, the sound of music blared in the distance, followed quickly by gun fire and the screams of terrified customers as the door swung back and forth, leaving the assassin's corpse to bleed out on the pink granite floor.
(A few days later)
-Beacon Academy-
"Ugh." Blake groaned, now wearing a white maroon trimmed blouse with thin red bow, a brown long sleeved vest with gold buttons, a maroon gold trimmed blazer, a red tartan skirt, knee-high black socks and brown shoes, as she walked down the hallway, her eyelids drooping slightly while she seemed a little out of it. "Why is the sun so bright? Why?" 'And why must combat class be so early!?'
As she tried to cover her eyes from the very small amount of sunlight, she recalled how her team had been 'worried' about her state of being, not that she cared, she was too focused on her own goals to worry about a little thing like rest.
She can rest when the city of Vale is safe again.
Yet she has been having momentary lapses of memory as of late, sometimes even 'appearing' several hours after a certain moment had passed such as taking a show one minute and 'appearing' somewhere in Vale a couple hours later, usually in the woman's stalls.
'I hope it's nothing serious. No, stop thinking about that, you have a mission to complete, meaning no rest until the White Fang is defeated.' Blake thought to herself before colliding with a taller student, causing her to fall on her ass.
However, this student was Cardin Winchester, the C of Team CRDL, and avid faunus hater.
And he was annoyed by this random inconvenience.
"Watch it." Cardin frowned while Blake quickly stood up, her legs slightly trembling from fatigue. "Clumsy woman."
The faunus narrowed her eyes, her mind stewing in negative emotions, as she felt compelled to put this piece of human trash in his place. 'Making fun of my species, getting others into trouble, and nearly hurting me for no reason?! I am so DONE with this asshole!'
"Get out of my way." Cardin frowned while attempting to push Blake away, only for her to not budge at all. "Seriously, I have class in ten minutes."
"Not until you apologize."
"For what?"
"For bumping into me, asshole."
"Me? Bump into you? You were the one that bumped into me, not the other way around."
"No, you were the one that bumped into me." Blake scowled while twitching a little. "I deserve compensation, manwhore!"
"Hey! Don't call me that, you bitch!" he growled in anger. 'What is her deal? All I did was get bumped by her and now she's acting like an asshole, to me!? What is her deal anyway? She's the quiet type NOT the confrontational sort!'
"I'll call you anything I want! You deserve it for being the enemy of the faunus!"
"What? Why are you talking about animals now?" He frowned while Blake felt like her patience was snapping at the seams, her eyes twitching with rage.
"I am talking about BOTH! You need to compensate me for all your actions against the faunus and for acting like a manwhore, you manwhore!" Blake yelled while trying, in vain, to restrain herself.
"Hurt him!"
"Hurt the faunus hater!"
"Pull his ears for once!"
"Rip his face off!"
"Eat his intestines!"
"End the asshole!"
The cat faunus' ears rang with a million unseen voices as Cardin narrowed his eyes, looking rather pissed off at this girl's unfounded accusations.
"Ok, that was uncalled for! I'm not a manwhore!"
"Yet you keep dodging the faunus accusations!"
"What about them? They aren't part of the conversation!"
"They are ALWAYS part of the conversation! Without them humanity would've died like dung beetles!" she snapped while Cardin began to grit his teeth, her vision becoming blurry with every passing second. 'Now what? Ugh, my eyes hurt.'
As she shook her head, trying to regain control of her vision, she noticed that something…wasn't right.
For in place of Cardin Winchester….was…Adam Taurus, leader of the Valeian Sect of the White Fang, former mentor…and hated enemy, who seemed to be smirking at her with sadistic glee.
"So? You have taken my lessons to heart, my lovely Blake."
Blackness, a single moment of utter oblivion, a stretch of endless space incomprehensible to organic matter stored within the minds of humanity itself.
Weightless, tasteless, lacking in sensation and identity.
This was the feeling that one Blake Belladonna felt as she suddenly 'blipped' out of existence, only to realize that she was in class, the lessons of one Doctor Oobleck going on as if everything was normal.
"And that students, is how the repercussions of one's own actions affect the entire history of Remnant civilization, for better or for worse. Now if you were to turn to page fifty seven in your textbooks." the green haired man said as Blake felt like something was off about the entire situation.
'Wait, wasn't I with Cardin a moment ago? Mmmmm…must be a delusion or something.' she thought while looking at her open textbook, the camera zooming away and down towards an empty hallway. 'Better finish this class and then, I have some pest control to conclude in Vale.'
As the camera moved towards the right corner of the hallway, the body of Cardin Winchester, his face covered in deep bleeding scratches and his arms broken, laid motionless against an adjacent wall.
(One week later)
-Beacon Academy, Auditorium-
'Damn it.' Blake thought, currently wearing a short purple asymmetrical halter neck dress that is split up the right side, a black collar, a teal bow on her head, translucent black mesh covering her shoulders, purple decolletage and back, decorative black swirls covered the left side of the dress and went up the left strap, a black belt, and black pumps, as she stood near the wooden auditorium doors, her eyes covered in thick black circles that seemingly 'popped' out of her skull like radio dishes. 'Just why did I talk myself into doing this again?'
Looking upon the flashing light through the glass windows of the doors, the B of Team RWBY recalled an important event of the last three weeks.
The criminals of Vale have been silenced, permanently, and their mangled bodies were found all over the capital of Vale, each one with an expression of terror and fear plastered on their faces. The authorities were baffled by this selective crime spree and, while gruesome enough to make a grown Huntsmen puke, was considered by the VNN as 'a necessary evil in the war against crime'.
Overall, crime was now at a stagnant low and would be unable to recover in the future, not that Blake cared.
'The city might be safe for now, but what if Roman Torchwick returns, finds the members of the crime families that did survive and remakes his crime family?' she thought to herself while rubbing her eyes a little. 'I can't rest…but Ruby has been bugging me about this for a while. Ugh, why does she have to be so gods damn cute!?'
The sounds of high octane music rang in Blake's ears as she contemplated entering the auditorium, feeling like she had too many responsibilities to handle at the moment.
Yet even she couldn't resist the cuteness that was Ruby Rose…no matter how much she tried to deny it. However, she also felt…off for some reason.
Her body felt empty no matter how much food she scarfed down, her mind pounded like a jackhammer against her skull, her aura fazed in and out of existence every so often, her eyes saw flashes of purple light every time she blinked, and…time felt mooted.
Moments stretched on for days, days felt shorter than expected and chunks of time seemingly disappeared from her memory, getting longer with each 'jump' into the distant future.
'This isn't normal? Maybe sleep deprivation?' Blake thought before shaking her head. 'No, I doubt that. I'm much stronger than that, and I made sure that Vale was safe from crime twenty four hours a day. I am never tired, it's just stress. Nothing more.'
Clank!
'But tonight, I'll humor Ruby and 'relax'. Maybe see if Sun is still in need of a date, although I haven't seen him in a while.' She thought to herself, and almost tripped on her own heels. 'Damn it! Why did I pick heels!?'
But as she walked into the auditorium, Blake's eyes widened in shock and disbelief.
For the entire room was covered from head to toe in White Fang goons, each one either dancing or just mingling with each other.
"W-W-What!?" 'How did they get into Beacon and why are they here!?'
"Ah Kitty."
The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end as she turned to her left, only to see Roman Torchwick standing near the punch bowl, smirking as he twirled his cane around in his left hand.
"A pleasure to see you again, and I must say, I would've never expected you to kill my second in command like that. Real animal-like really, five stars for you." he said while Blake felt anger boiling within her bosom.
'Why did I come here without my weapon!?'
"My Darling."
The faunus' eyes dilated as she quickly turned to her right, only to see Adam Taurus standing right in front of her with a cold frown.
"I told you we would meet again." he said while Roman moved closer to Blake. "And this time, you will not escape me."
"No…you can't…this is…impossible!" Blake stuttered in fear as she moved back, her breathing becoming faster and more erratic with each passing second.
"Anything is possible, Kitty." Roman smirked while pointing his cane at Blake. "And right now, the bull and I are going to make sure these Huntsmen are properly silenced. Starting with you."
"You shouldn't have left me." Adam said coldly as he pulled his blade out of its sheath.
'No, no, no! I need to stay strong! I…I…I…' the faunus thought in panic as her mind went into overload, unable to calm herself down as the White Fang goons began to stare at her with glaring 'eyes'. 'I…I…I…'
The sound of footsteps echoed in her ears as Blake started to hyperventilate in a mixture of anger and fear.
"KILL THEM!"
In an instant, the void…over took all as the screen went black.
(A few minutes later)
As time and individuality returned Blake Belladonna to the world of the living once more, she felt her fingers squeezing something soft, her eyes covered in a viscous substance as she noticed that the distinct taste of metal was permeating her taste buds.
"What? Where…am I?"
CRUNCH!
The sound of broken bones entered Blake's ears as she felt unsure what was going on, only that she was about to meet her end by two criminals that she was hunting for weeks.
'Just what happened? Wait, is this another 'flash' in time? Oh gods, why now?' she thought before wiping the gunk off her eyes with her right arm.
Only…to see blood dripping from her lower arm, staining her pumps in the process.
"...blood?" She muttered in shock as the camera zoomed away from her to reveal her blood covered dress, half ripped and nearly torn in some places, while her face was dripping with fresh life ichor. "What…happened before?"
That was when she noticed her current location, that being the auditorium….yet…
"No…oh gods…no…"
In place of a festive atmosphere, was a macabre display of destruction and gore. The chairs and tables were destroyed, windows smashed from the inside, record disks embedded into the walls with tremendous force, and the floor's former dark coloration was replaced with a sea of red.
But the star attraction of this nightmare was the bodies, the dismembered, gutted and broken of a hundred or so individuals, regardless of species, age and gender.
Yet they weren't White Fang…
They were Beacon's students and staff.
"No…no…no no no no no! This can't be real! I was fighting the White Fang and Roman Torchwick, not my fellow classmates!" Blake yelled before slowly moving her head towards her left arm, revealing the corpse of Ruby Rose, her neck snapped by her own bare hand. "AH!"
Clank!
As she dropped the body of her team leader, she quickly noticed the bodies of her team around her legs, each one either gutted like tuna or had their heads bashed into the ground.
"Oh gods….how did?" she muttered in disbelief as she fell on her knees, only for her head to 'ring' like a church bell, making her clutch the sides of ehr head in pain. "AH!"
Like a reel of film moving backwards, Blake began to recall the last three weeks of her life, each one in vivid detail.
However, the memories played a different version of the events.
That being….she didn't kill any criminal, she didn't murder anyone associated with the White Fang or the Torchwick Crime 'Family'.
Through purple glitch-like patterns, each of the White Fang goons were replaced…with random Valeian citizens, each one killed while screaming for their lives.
Burned, cut, gutted, beheaded, hung by rope, blown to pieces, stabbed in the faces by Dust shards, pushed into oncoming vehicles, drowned, dismembered, and so many more scenes of violence against both humans and faunus alike.
The death of Neopolitan, the attack on Cardin Winchester, the deaths of Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus…all replaced with an innocent person.
And as Blake's eyes widened in realization, she recalled the last few minutes of this day.
"I…I wasn't killing an army…I was slaughtering Beacon's finest. I…I used my semblance, I used my hands, I…I killed them…I killed them all." she muttered out loud as she curled herself into a ball, rocking back and forth in despair and simmering madness. "I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them. I killed them."
The sounds of peppy rock music echoed in the background as the screen faded into black, the only daughter of the Belladonnas continuing to mutter the single line that made sense in this maddened world.
[I killed them.]

This soon leads to her sneaking out of Beacon for three weeks straight and attacking any criminals she could get her hands on, attacking them in the most brutal and inhuman ways possible to find her targets, effectively ending Vale's criminal activity through the fear of death. Yet, on the day of the dance, when she chose to allow herself a moment of rest, she discovered Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus at the dance with an army of criminals and White Fang members, all with the intention of killing everyone inside the castle. But for now, Blake Belladonna runs on, empty of hope and redemption.
