Partially inspired by: Hunters of Justice by trestwho. [Very partially inspired, meaning it is not considered the Justiceverse's Ruinverse counterpart, instead a counterpart for an alternative timeline semi affiliated with the source materials but not by much. This is due to the requester's interest in a separate alternative timeline idea not penned to 'paper' yet but wanted to see as a darker Ruinverse timeline.]

The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.

From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

The Ruinverse: Chapter Eighty Four, The Darkest Reaper.

BAM!

SLASH!

BOOOM!

CLANG!

The sound of war rang across the city known to all as Vale, bestial roars and metallic clangs of beast and machine made the very air vibrate from their frequencies as on the tower, ruined by the destructive nature of its occupants, two combatants battled for the fate of all.

One being the feared and dreaded Cinder Fall, false Fall Maiden and deadly user of heat.

And the second being Beacon's cocky huntress in training, Ruby Rose, master of the unknown power of the Silver Eyes and leader of Team RWBY.

WOOSH!

BOOOM!

TWANG!

BOOOM!

Shards of glass shattered into pieces against the destructive power of silver hued light, lighting up the dark sky as the two fought long and hard, one for subjugation and the other for a mixture of fame and protection.

"Hold still, evildoer!" Ruby yelled at her opponent, her eyes glowing bright silver as she seemed to be fighting without any weapons, just the power of her own eyes. "And face my Silver Eyes!"

BOOOM!

Cinder ignored the girl's cocky attempts to distract her as she decided to forgo the use of bows and created obsidian blades from her dress, coating them with the Fall Maiden's power to give them extra protection from the Silver Eyes' destructive power. 'Such a foolish brat. Not only is she using that power haphazardly but she's about to lose all of her vision. Didn't she learn how to control them better? No matter, once I kill her, I will kill Pyrrha Nikos and make my mistress comfortable in the knowledge that the only thing that could kill her is extinguished from the face of Remnant itself!'

BOOOM!

SHING!

CRACKLE!

Glass shards formed on the metallic floor as Cinder rushed towards Ruby, using her blades and semblance to block the incoming shards of glass as she saw Ruby's expression getting more and more frustrated with each unsuccessful hit.

"Hold still!" Ruby yelled while sending a blast of silver energy at the advancing attacker, only to see that her attacks weren't hitting anything at all. 'Damn it! Hold still! Hold still!'

But as she continued to fire these destructive blasts of energy at the mastermind of Vale's fall, the world around her started to become blurry, the dark colors of the sky becoming thicker and less distinct from the already fading colors around her.

'What the?! Why can't I see anything well?!' she thought, momentarily lowering her guard as Cinder raced towards her.

SQUISH!

And stabbed her right in the eyes with her blades, blood dripping from the wounds as the silver energy faded away abruptly.

"AAAAAAAHHHH!" Ruby screamed in pain as Cinder pulled back and saw the massive Wyvern Grimm landing on the tower's ruins, shaking the structure to its core.

"Pathetic." Cinder smirked as the Grimm looked down at the battleground, snarling at Ruby's still screaming form with malice. "Where's your so-called superiority you so bragged about when you tried to save Pyrrha Nikos' life now? Where is the cocky brat with the Silver Eyes that made the Grimm fear for their existence? Where is that power now oh stupid brat?"

"MY EYES! MY EYES!" Ruby screamed as she fell to her knees, the Wyvern growling at the former pride of Beacon, black ooze dripping from its jaws and onto the ground below. "YOU DESTROYED MY EYES!"

"What Ozpin saw in you is beyond me." she said before noticing a figure moving right towards the office's former stairway, causing her to blink in confusion. 'Now who…wait. Is that?'

That figure being a tall fair skinned young feminine boy with short blonde hair sporting faint pink tips, light pink eyes, a pale pink headband with a single yellow rose emblem on the right side, wearing a yellow long sleeved shirt with slim rose petal shaped cuirass, small yellow square pauldrons with light pink thorn shaped lining on the sides, dull yellow vambrace, slim yellow wrist length fingerless gauntlets, yellow thigh high cuisses, light pink see through stockings, slim yellow rose petal shaped greaves that went to his lower knees, bright yellow triangular high heeled sabatons and holding a long dark amber double barrel rifle with a silver rose emblem shaped handle, a bright yellow button on the right side of the handle and curved circular thorn shaped blades attached to the barrels, in both hands, as he seemed to be covered in trace amounts of fresh blood and was scowling at the Fall Maiden with anger.

'The Red Reaper? I thought that he was an urban myth, a criminal's Chill Grimm. Mmmmm, still he is nothing compared to the Fall Maiden's power, or my own for that matter.' Cinder thought while forming a glass bow and fired several arrows at the so-called 'urban legend'.

WOOSH!

Only to miss as the figure vanished in a dark yellow blur, causing her to realize that he might be more dangerous than first expected.

BAM!

Which was proven right when he suddenly appeared in front of Cinder and fired a bullet at her face, which melted in midair due to her semblance as she quickly used the Fall Maiden's power to summon a gale to blow him away.

'What the!? He has a speed semblance!?' she thought before seeing the Red Reaper's weapons instantly transforming into two dark amber sickles with silver chains attached to the curved silver handles, silver rose petal shaped spikes attached to the chains and long thorns-like blades, as he attempted to use them to latch onto her right arm. 'Shit!'

As the chains began to retract towards the handles, dragging Cinder towards the vigilant in the process, the Wyvern began to move its head towards Ruby's direction, who was still screaming at her now ruined eyes with both hands.

SZIIII!

"You hurt her, now I hurt you!" the Red Reaper frowned while Cinder moved closer and closer to his direction.

SHIIISH!

Yet in an instant, the Red Reaper noticed a black glass arrow notched towards his face, causing him to release the blades from Cinder's arm and transform the weapons into a massive dull amber scythe with two curved jagged thorn-like blades on the top and two long circular barrels at the bottom end, as he readied for a counterattack.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

The two combatants quickly turned around as the Wyvern, in a primal anger towards its sworn enemy.

CRUNCH!

Had just consumed Ruby Rose, biting down on the screaming girl and quickly turning her into a mash of broken bones, sliced muscle and cloth fragments.

The Red Reaper's eyes widened in horror as Cinder smirked, using her semblance to superheat the warrior's weapon into unusable liquid metal.

Yet for the warrior…the pain was secondary to the grizzly sight unfolding before his eyes, for he…had failed.

He had failed his mission.

'I was supposed to protect her! I was supposed to protect my master!' he thought as Cinder started forming an obsidian blade in her right hand. 'I was supposed to protect her with my life!'

CRUNCH!

'I was supposed to protect her from harm! I became the Red Reaper, trained for years, and sacrificed everything for her…..but now….now…..'

"RRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

'Now…now…now…' he thought as Cinder took aim at his neck, the Wyvern roaring in victory at the girl's destruction, as the Red Reaper's eyes began to shift from light pink to a bright silver color.

Woooossssshhh!

"What the-"

"SHE'S DDDDDDDDEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!"

A bright silver energy formed from his body, quickly mixing with a strange yellow aura as pink rose petals began to fall on the ground and the entire sky became enveloped in a blinding light.

WOOOOSSSSSHHH!

As Cinder covered her face from the intense light, she noticed that her hands were rapidly turning to dust along with the floor she was standing on, causing her to scream as close by, the massive Grimm's body transformed into gray stone which then disintegrated into fine ash.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the Red Reaper screamed, his eyes forming cracks on the sides as the world.

WWWWWWOOOOOOSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!

Faded into a white void.

(Ten months later)

-Anima, Mistral, Mistrali White Fang Sect HQ, Throne Room-

BAM!

BOOOM!

"High Leader! We can't hold out much longer!" yelled a White Fang Personal Guard as he and his compatriots were busy barricading the doors with their bodies, the High Leader herself currently sitting on her throne with a frown on her face.

"You need to escape now!"

BAM!

BOOOOM!

Sienna narrowed her eyes as she held Cerberus Whip tightly in her hands, knowing that the enemy, currently destroying all her men in pursuit of an unknown goal, would soon come and challenge her and, possibly, come on top. 'I can't just escape like a coward. If this bastard dares to challenge me, then I will give him a challenge!'

BAM!

"High Leader, you need to leave now!"

KABOOOOOOOOOM!

The doors exploded into ash as the guards were sent flying across the room, hitting the pillars and breaking their necks upon impact as a result.

Sienna frowned as the smoke cloud formed from the now rotting doors, quickly dissipating as a figure walked into the room with a cackle.

"Ah. The leader of this pathetic terrorist group." the figure, revealed to be a tall fair skinned young feminine boy with short blonde hair sporting faint pink tips, silver eyes, thick multicolored veins forming from his lower eyelids and down to his lower chin, a black headband with five outwardly curved thorn-like points on the sides and top and forming a makeshift crown, wearing a black long sleeved tunic with thick diamond shaped cuirass, a black thorn-like gorget with two curved points on the sides of the neck, large black rectangular pauldrons with ten thorn-like points, a long black tattered cape that extended to his knees, thick rose petal-like rerebrace, thick elbow length black gauntlets with curved blade like tips at the ends of the fingers, black stockings, thick black cuisses that went down to the lower thighs, thick triangular greaves that went up to his upper calves, black sabatons with three clawed points at the front, and holding a massive black scythe with a curved silver blade sporting dark purple thorn-like points, in his right hand, cackled as the stone under his feet seemed to break and turn to dust instantaneously. "Such weak semblances. Not even worth taking."

"Arrogant human." Sienna narrowed her eyes. "You dare to attack my men. Such arrogance!"

"Heh, really don't care. After all, you're dealing with something greater than a human." he grinned with a smug look on his face. "You're facing a god!"

"Arrogant and delusional." she frowned while standing up from her throne. "To think you were once the Red Reaper."

He frowned before seeing Sienna darting towards him, her whip ready to choke out the life from his very body. "That name has no meaning to me anymore."

SWISH!

Sienna's eyes widened in horror as she found herself frozen in midair, a black aura forming around her body as the man moved closer to her.

"Nor were my previous goals of protecting others. I lost all of that the day my 'sister' died in Vale." he said coldly while the pillars began to crack and turn to dust all around the two. "Killed off by your Valeian Sect leader's conspirator, a human named Cinder Fall. I have no desire to let her memory be forgotten about or to have her existence snuffed out by people such as yourself."

As the faunus tried to struggle, or scream for that matter, she noticed the 'Red Reaper' was moving his left hand towards her face.

"I will fix this broken world, starting with the complete extinction of all semblances and Huntsmen." he said while squeezing Sienna's head tightly, the black aura covering the faunus like a blanket as crimson red energy was sucked out of the blackened mass and into his own body. "Once I finish that, I shall turn back fate's hands and fix everything."

As the crimson energy slowly faded from the mass of blackness, the 'Red Reaper' raised his right arm with a smirk.

"To think, I once chose to not age someone to death out of 'honor'."

SLASH!

SQUISH!

As the scythe sliced open the black mass, a series of light gray bones fell from the tear, quickly turning into ash upon contact with the air as the man chuckled with sadistic glee.

"But that's what Krasny Rose wanted, but me? I don't want to protect, I want to TAKE!" he cackled while the room began to fade away into ash, leaving a gaping black hole where the floor once was. "For I am The Darkest Reaper, and I'm a god that takes and a god that bursts the hands of fate! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Crack!

CRACK!

As cracks formed across the screen, the laughter began to intensify before everything faded into darkness, dark purple glitches forming on the sides of the cracks as a single black rose petal floated across the darkness and then vanished in a flash of silver energy.

Semblance(s): Petal Burst/Speed (granted physical form), Dream Stone (an offshoot of Petal Burst/Speed that allows the user to access the ability to accelerate or reverse the flow of time in objects or people, allowing one to affect the concept of age. However, it takes a lot of aura to utilize and if used incorrectly can destroy the user's soul.)

Bio: In this timeline, when Ruby Rose was a child, her semblance activated and, in an unexpected turn, caused the semblance, Petal Burst, to manifest into a physical form, a young boy that will be named Krasny Rose in the future to be exact, who had the unique ability, called Dream Stone, to increase his speed to age objects and people forwards or backwards in time. Unable to stay due to his protective nature over his 'sister' and because of his own inability to protect her outright, since semblances are usually glass cannons due to their connection to their 'master's' aura, he decided to run away from Patch and, utilizing his unique abilities, traveled the world in search of potential teachers to train him in the arts of a Huntsmen, seeing it as the only way his 'sister' can be protected from harm. In time, he would meet and de-age the legendary Huntress de-aged Maria Calavera, the Grimm Reaper, allowing her to regain her eyes due to the power of the Dream Stone, and train him in her fighting style. Over time, he would become a prodigy in all forms of combat and weapons, favoring the scythe over everything else due to his connection to Ruby Rose and the Grimm Reaper, as he made it his mission to protect Ruby from the shadows, inevitably becoming an almost urban legend in the Huntsmen community called the Red Reaper, as Ruby herself, having unlocked the power of the Silver Eyes, became a master of it's unknown power but also extremely cocky in the process as her desire to use it despite the dangers kept her entranced and dependent on her eyes. However, when the Fall of Beacon occurred, Ruby chose to save Pyrrha from Cinder Fall's arrow, thinking herself untouchable and wanting to prove her 'superiority' over the Fall Maiden, but inadvertently brought her into the line of fire as well, being devoured by the Wyvern Grimm as her 'brother', having dealt with Adam Taurus moments ago, watched on in horror. With his connection to Ruby's aura and innocent nature broken, he used his powers and the Silver Eyes, acquired when Ruby died due to their unique connection, to age Cinder and the Wyvern into dust, ending the invasion but failing to realize that this one moment would spell doom to the world as in the wake of the disaster, he became tethered to the world via the negative emotions of Vale itself, corrupting him and transforming him into an unhinged monster, unable to forget the horror of his 'sister's' death or move forwards in life. Over time, he started to gain the ability to steal the semblances of others, something connected to his lack of a 'master', using this new power to kill off every Huntsmen in the world so he could, in theory, gain the power needed to travel back in time to fix everything and see his 'sister' once more. But this ideal would cause him to lose his heart, his 'humanity' and all possible redemption as the world will call him by a new name, one that will echo across the world and beyond…..The Darkest Reaper.
