Now we have Pokémon thriving in Great Lakes City, well some thriving in Great Lakes City and they will be noticed by folks around the place, and this will be something else for them to try and handle. But with some help, they can calm things down and let the public be patient, but someone might not be and would wanna have one as his partner. Enjoy reading this new chapter everyone.

Chapter 558: The Pokémon in Great Lakes City.
(May 31. Great Lakes City.)
A peaceful day, at the Park here, or so some might think. A small battle has taken place, and this is a Pokémon battle, the clash between Leslie's Pokémon Rosey the Rufflet vs Lincoln's Pokémon, Rowlet and these two are dishing out a lot in this intense battle.
Rosey uses gust and this actually causes Rowlet to lose his balance, but then he uses vine whip and grabs the Rufflet Rosey, and then spins her around, but Rosey breaks free and she dives in for a head butt, but Rowlet dodges this and uses bullet seed, and Rosey is knocked to the ground.
But then Rosey comes at Rowlet at full speed usin agility, and this gives Rowlet the chance to use his own gust, and this nearly causes Rosey to lose her balance, but she stays on track and she has learned a new move... Steel Wing! This surprises Lincoln and Leslie and Rowlet is struck and falls from the skies, and Lincoln catches him.
Delilah snaps out of it and then she speaks. "This battle is over, Leslie and her Rufflet named Rosey, are the winners!" The crowd cheers and are amazed at this battle to be stronger of both Pokémon and human partner.
The crowd: Luna, Sam, Jordan, Michelle, Ronnie Anne and her Zigzagoon's Zen and Zed, Sid and her Wurmple and Weedle, Adelaide and her Jangmo-o, and even their friends: Casey, Sameer, Nikki and Laird. Even the Casagrandes: Carlos, Frida, CJ, Carlota, Hector and of course he is here, Carl. Vito is here as well for some reason too. Even the messed up pigeon, Sancho is there and he is amazed.
Lincoln, Luna, Sam and Jordan check on Rowlet and he seems fine, in fact he yawns and then snoozes, and this makes Lincoln chuckle and he feeds him a berry and he gobbles it as he sleeps. "Yup, he is fine." They then see Michelle, Delilah and Leslie walk towards them with Snowball and Rosey. "Rosey can now use steel wing? Dang, that is awesome Leslie."
Leslie chuckles. "Thanks, though I never ever noticed this before. She is just... Wow. But it makes sense, because Rufflet are a brave and very confident Pokémon that wants to be stronger and possibly... evolve?" They look to Rosey who scratches her wings and then looks to the skies as a flock of pigeons fly by.
Sid then goes over with her Pokémon. "So, when the heck do we get the chance to battle you guys?" They can see that Weedle and Wurmple are motivated to be part of this and try to become stronger.
Leslie chuckles. "That depends on how determined your Pokémon are to wanna have a heck of a fight."
"Perhaps we can answer that question for them." Delilah and her Pokémon partner, the Hisuian Growlithe. "But take note, snowball here is a fire and rock type and he will be way too tough for bug types and normal types to try and beat."
But they see that Weedle and Wurmple are determined and they wanna have a brawl against her, and this makes Delilah smirk. "Well, looks like they do wanna have a battle and get stronger, let's see what happens." They then get ready for their own Pokémon battle, but this is a two vs one thing, and Sam is gonna be the referee.
As they have the fight and it starts, Lincoln sits back with the others, and so does Leslie and they're Pokémon, and he even allows Rowlet to sit on the lap of Jordan, and she pets his head. "You sure about not having a Pokémon partner?"
Jordan chuckles and she looks to the sleeping Rowlet on her lap. "As fun as that sounds, no thanks. I already have Ajax, and if I do plan to have one, then it'd be nice for Ajax to have some company to be around, besides the twins Lola and Lana owning their own dogs."
Carlos is amazed by these creatures. "The way they look, and how they interact and the fact that they are enhanced with unique capabilities in order to survive is incredible!" He then looks towards Lincoln. "How many species are there again?"
"Nine hundred and four and counting" replied Lincoln. "The information is within a Pokémon index, but also known as the Pokédex, and we have given one to Mrs. Chang."
Becca Chang chuckles and she nods. "That is true, they did give me one for studying purposes and I have to say, that these species from different regions and they're evolved forms are something else, I have never thought that they would also be classified in the rarity system as well."
"I saw the information about the basic starters from each region, the potential evolutions and how they work, but I am amazed by the Eevee and her many forms of evolution, but what surprises me are the legendary types, they seem nearly god-like in nature with total control of the elements around them." She then pets the head of Turtwig, because it looks like he wants to join the fight as well.
Leslie smirks. "Yeah, legendary Pokémon are amazing, and there is no way we can be able to see them here. All we can see in Royal Woods are what we do know residing there, but the chances of them migrating is something we cannot force them to do, it has to be their choice. Because Pokémon have rights, as do animals."
"Hmmm, that does make sense" replied CJ. "Can I have a Pokédex and see the different types?"
Lincoln then responds to that. "CJ, that would be nice to let you have one, But we aren't sure because one of you could end up taking the Pokédex and taking it for granted with whatever the heck you wanna do with the Pokémon living within Royal Woods." They then look towards Carl sternly.
"What? What? I won't do anything!" said Carl, but then he sees the Pokémon battling. "But they look so cool, even though they look like small babies. I bet they look awesome when they get bigger!" he then asks. "So, when are they gonna come into Great Lakes City? I wanna see the fire types!'
Luna is not pleased to hear this. "Dude, what part of not forcing and that they have their own rights did you not even understand? Did you even listen to what we were talking about?"
Carlota agrees with her. "She has a point there, Carl. Forcing a Pokémon is like animal abuse, and I am sure that FutureTech Company made the new rules about that."
Carl scoffs. "You don't know that."
Lincoln then speaks. "Actually, after the Pokémon have taken refuge within Royal Woods, FutureTech did make the new laws, and laws in Pokémon abuse is one of them. Also, if Pokémon do end up migrating towards Great Lakes City, then FutureTech will send out new surveillance systems to watch over them and how the people of this city are coexisting with them."
Ronnie Anne snickers. "That sounds like an awesome idea, because there will be no chance for Carl to do his swindling acts, he can't do it at school anymore." the others chuckle at this, while Carlos and Frida are embarrassed that they're son is the biggest trouble maker of Chavez academy, and they fear for how he would do well for when he advances in his grades.
Carl Casagrande on the other hand didn't like the sound of this. 'Stupid new camera system at school. Now I can't make more bucks by selling what Abuela serves to me. This sucks and now I can't have my own super powered animals?! Why does Adelaide get the dragon?'
Adelaide has her Jangmo-o watching the battle, and wanting to participate, as if the little fella wants to become something bigger and stronger. Just then Becca has an idea. 'Hmmm, perhaps there is a way for CJ to earn his Pokédex, but I will need to run this along with the louds.'
Vito then asks. "Hey, is there a Pokémon or whatever you call it who can sing as well as I do?" That is something they don't know how to even answer.
They all continue to watch the battle unfold, and Weedle tries to go in for the poison jab, but then Snowball dodges it and goes for flame thrower, but then Wurmple breaks free from underground and tackles the Hisuian Growlithe, but Snowball was not out yet!
Snowball uses stone edge and tries to get the upper hand, but both Wurmple and Weedle dodge it and then they both go in for the tackle. Snowball then uses flame thrower, and a stone edge, but the two worm-like Pokémon dodge that and they go for string shot, and Snowball has his head all covered up.
Snowball breaks free using bite, but then he is knocked away from the tackle from Weedle and Wurmple and Growlithe is knocked out of the fight. Sam then announces. "Snowball is unable to battle, the winners are Sid Chang and her partners Wurmple and Weedle!"
Sid cheers. "You did it unicorn and Yoon!"
All of them are surprised, and confused by those names. "Unicorn and Yoon?!"
Sid then explains. "What? Makes sense to me." But the see Weedle and Wurmple shake their heads in denial, they don't like those names.
Lincoln sighs. "Sid, you need to have a talk with us about how Pokémon feel when it comes to naming..." Just then, Weedle and Wurmple are glowing, and everyone is surprised by this. "Wait, what?! No, way!"
Vito then puts on his sunglasses. "Glad I brought these with me." His dogs do the same as well and have sunglasses and they watch as the two worm-like Pokémon are gone, and what replaces them are Kakuna and Silcoon.
Kakuna.
Cocoon Pokémon. Bug and Poison Type.
From this form, it will grow into an adult. As its body becomes softer, the external shell hardens. Almost incapable of moving, this Pokémon can only harden its shell to protect itself from predators. Evolved from Weedle and evolves into Breedrill.
Silcoon.
Cocoon Pokémon. Bug Type.
Silcoon tethers itself to a tree branch using silk to keep from falling. There, this Pokémon hangs quietly while it awaits evolution. It peers out of the silk cocoon through a small hole. Silcoon was thought to endure hunger and not consume anything before its evolution. However, it is now thought that this Pokémon slakes its thirst by drinking rainwater that collects on its silk. Evolved from Wurmple and evolves into Beautifly.
This was something they did not see coming, and Becca recorded the whole thing, while Frida takes a photo of this. Carl is confused. "What the heck was that all about?"
"Evolution!" said Adelaide, she goes over with her Jangmo-o whom she named Tai. "They evolved into their second forms, but wait... Sid, you can't bring them along with you anymore. They have to stay someplace safe and where they can be able to take time to evolve again."
Sid realizes this and she looks towards Silcoon and Kakuna, and though she is upset that she can no longer be able to have her large worm friends come along, she has to accept this. "Well, alright. If it's for the best, then okay." She then goes over and grabs the wagon she brought along and they place Kakuna and Silcoon inside. "You guys are coming back home, and I know just the tree for you guys to stay at."
All of them come over and see them, but Carl is not impressed. "They just look like weird..." Then Silcoon leaps forward and head butts Carl and then lands back into the wagon.
Leslie snickers. "Word of advice little swindler, think before you speak. Because you never know who else is gonna teach you a lesson and another word of advice, don't try and become the next Sergio as well." That one made Carlos and Frida afraid, they have to keep an eye on Carl Casagrande.
Sid looks to her new Pokémon and then she has an idea. "I got it, when they do hatch out, then I shall name them!" Silcoon and Kakuna sweat nervously hearing that, they are afraid of whatever name she has in store, because... Well, she's Sid Chang.
Lincoln and the others can only guess that when she names them, it's gonna be pretty weird.
