This is just a good bonding moment for mother and son, with some small concerns after Lincoln borrowed something from the library, and looking forward to what they have planned for this summer, and possibly soon the talk that the former louds wanna have with the current and still last named louds. Chapter 559: Another mother and son thing.
(June 1. The Royal Woods Middle School.)
The school bell has rung, and Lincoln is walking out of the school and Lincoln is surprised about something from his best friend. "Whoa. So, for the whole summer vacation, you and Chloe aren't gonna be here?" He then sees Jordan and waves to her, and she waves back and then rides with Gretchen and Hope in their limo for the mall.
Clyde nods. "Yup, after what happened days ago, Chloe and I are gonna have an awesome time at France. Though, chances my dads are gonna be super concerned and keep calling, but what the heck can I do to make them slow down and stop?"
Lincoln thinks about this. "Not gonna be an easy thing though, chances they might not listen. Best way for you, send them some texts and other calls, and then when cooking classes start, turn off your phone, because it is better that way."
Clyde smiles. "Thanks for the advice Linc, also I wanna ask about that book you borrowed from the school library, what was it anyway?"
Before Lincoln can say anything, he sees his mom, Luna waiting by her car and she waves to her son. "Sorry Clyde, gotta go. Talk to you later, and don't forget about that advice about how to deal with grumpy cats and bath time."
Clyde chuckles and he waves as he watches Lincoln head into his mother's car, and then Clyde walks off to meet with Chloe so they can talk about what they can do when they're awesome summer at Paris France begins, and then we see Delilah and Leslie walk out of the school, with their own plans in mind.
Delilah then recalls what she needs to do. 'This Saturday. Gotta go back to Great Lakes City and see how well Adelaide has adapted with her training in Karate, and perhaps she is suited fr the advanced in Martial Arts training, and I wanna know if the other world counterparts know anyone who is skilled in the ways of Kung Fu, because I think Adelaide and I are ready for something far more challenging.'
Leslie goes through what she needs to do for this week and next week. 'Alrighty then. So, after the graduation day of Leni Lauren, and her friends. We are gonna be on this nice boat trip, and at Lake Eddy too, this sure is gonna be something, but before we do that... I wanna have another awesome date night with Stella, since she won't be around next month. She did say she'll be spending her one month of summer in the Philippines.'
Delilah and Leslie almost bump into each other, but they snap out of it, and then Leslie rides with Delilah for the Royal Woods Mall, but then they head back and realize something. "Our school bags!" The duo then race inside, and they look for what they left in their lockers, while also causing Chad to spin around and collide with his locker. He's okay, I think.
(Burger King.)
Here we are at the best new burger joint within Royal Woods that is an expanding franchise with the best and delicious burgers all around, the place has some folks all enjoying the fast food and this is where the Louds have chosen to go to for something good to eat.
Luna walks back to her son, and she has the tray of food. Both of them ordered the double patty, cheesy bacon whopper, with some curly cheese fries and large soda drinks, and they both begin to enjoy the delicious food.
"Thanks for bringing me here, mom. But why come to this place and not at the Burpin' Burger?"
Luna chuckles and she wipes away some ketchup from his cheek and kisses his cheek. "I thought that we should spend some time to enjoy their delicious burgers, that and also the Burpin' Burger is losing interest from the people, and also because we saw this movie today at school called the Founder, and I legit hate McDonald's now and glad that they don't have a restaurant here in town."
Lincoln is so confused. "Ummm, sure. Okay then." they then continue with their food, and Lincoln even sees the local soccer team is here enjoying the burgers as well, and then he asks something. "Hey mom, can I ask you something?"
Luna smiles. "Sure thing, Linc. What is it?"
Lincoln sighs and then he asks. "There are these funny videos online of people playing video games, and I wanna watch their videos of them doing funny stuff playing video games."
Luna is confused, and she asks. "Wait, Lincoln. Do these videos have a YouTube channel name?"
Lincoln then tells her. "VanossGaming, Wildcat, BasicallyIDoWrk, Terroriser, Nogla, 407, H2O Delirious, Moo Snuckel, Big Jiggle Panda and Sark. I saw the videos while I was headed to the library and I wanna watch some of the other video game videos they make, such as Minecraft."
Luna feels like she has heard about these YouTubers, and that they are funny and yet the videos they post have some swearing and other offensive stuff, and yet incredibly hilarious when that stuff happens and so she speaks. "Well, alright Linc. But on one condition, you watch them when I am also around so that I can see what these videos are as well. Alright, kiddo?"
Lincoln didn't quite like the sound of that, but then he recalls that she is doing this as Parental Guidance. "Alright then, mom. I understand."
Luna then scooches closer and she kisses his cheek and forehead. "Linc, I do this because I love you and I don't want things to turn bad for you. You know that, and I do what I can to be there for you and to be cautious about what goes down."
Lincoln nods, and so he hugs Luna, and she returns the embrace, and then they continue to enjoy their lunch, but they don't know that some of the folks notice this and think this is adorable for the teenage mom and her adopted son.
Some boys whom Lincoln knows from school see this and they wanna make fun of Lincoln, but then they see the teenagers: Jackie, Mandee, Maggie and Ruby look to them sternly, making them remain silent and not ruin this moment. The head of the Royal Woods Gazette sees this and she feels like she could add this motherly kind of advice for the Gazette.
While they are eating, Luna notices the book inside of Lincoln's bag, and it doesn't look like a school book, and even though she wants to ask, she decides not to and just wait till she can ask about this book her son now has.

Lincoln and Luna are at the second best place for them to find some peace, quiet and bonding time and the duo are underneath the shade of a tree, and Luna notices that her son is reading the book he borrowed from the library and she sees the title of this book is called. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
"Hey, Linc. I noticed that book back when we were having our burger snack time. Did you borrow that today, kiddo?"
Lincoln nods. "I did. This book is called Scary Stories to tell in the Dark, and don't worry about it mom. This book is far from even called scary, more like creepy sure." Lincoln then tells her more about what he found out on the book and on who made it, and that it has sequels.
"Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" is a series which combines a collection of short horror stories for children, written by Alvin Schwartz and originally illustrated by Stephen Gammell. The three books each feature numerous short stories in the horror genre. Author Schwartz drew heavily from folklore and urban legends as the topic of his stories, researching extensively and spending more than a year on writing each book."
"They might not be as big as the books called Goosebumps, or whatever books made by Stephen King, but they are decent creepy books to read. This is the first book called, Scary Stories to tell in the Dark, the second one is called More Scary Stories to tell in the Dark and the third book is called Scary Stories 3: More Tales to Chill your Bones, and I don't want you to be concerned about these books that I am reading, it's all gonna be fine mom."
Luna is still concerned about this, and so she nods and rubs his hair. "Well, alright then. But please be careful about what you are reading, because I don't want you having some nightmares or something, alright?"
Lincoln nods. "Okay, mom." He then scooches closer, and then he leans onto the side of Luna and then he continues to read the book that he borrowed and enjoy this peace and silence. But deep down, Luna is concerned and doesn't seem right that her son is reading this book. But she has to accept this.
'Something tells me that when night comes, then Lincoln might have a nightmare about whatever he is reading. Because I feel like these books are for Lucy. At least there is no move about this thing.'
They don't know that Lucy overheard them, and then she takes her leave. 'Hmmm, this book seems very interesting. They might have another copy at the library or perhaps the book store.' So, Lucy heads off to find herself a copy of this book.
