No worries because we will pick this story up a year before Danny's 30th birthday. Will they be lucky and have a quiet year or will it be one crazy ride.
It's been the longest 6 weeks of Danny's life. This is longest she has gone with out doing anything truly physical . Well besides, when her Auntie Mia told her, she could not do something when she was pregnant. Danny had been counting down the days, till Saturday. An today was the day, Val had come over bright and early to give his big Sis the news that it could be removed. They had gotten an x ray last night. Just to make sure.
"Good Morning Big Sis, how is my nephew and nieces?"
"Cut the crap Val and get this fuckin thing off."
"All right Big D, hold your horses."
Long were the days gone that Daniella, was called Little D anymore. Even her Uncles rarely called her Little D anymore. Her Dad and Granddads were the only ones that really called her by any childhood nicknames. Because at times she was even feared by her own Uncles , let a lone their men.
Sal made short work of removing her split. Danny flexed her fist in triumphed.
"Listen Big D, you still have to take it easy for the next week."
"What the fuck, does that mean Val?"
"It means Big D, that in till you find Puddu you are todo these hand exercises four times a day. At least. An when the time comes , you will not just beat the fucker to death with your fists."
In his best stern voice he said.
"Is that clear Big D?."
CJ walked into the Livingroom, just as Val said that last thing to his Princess. An he had to fight back the laugh, when his wife only raised and eyebrow at her Little Brother. As if to say you dare talk to me like that. Val kinda whimpered off a little bit. Then both men were shocked, when Danny spoke.
"I hear you Val, I will be very careful."
" How are our God babies doing Val?"
That put a huge smile on Val's face. He loved talking about his unborn babies.
"Their doing great, Damien and I were at the last doctor appointment. All three are growing strong. An in a few months, we will know the genders."
Later that day, in Christian's office at the club. Christian's brothers MJ and Frankie had gone home, to run things over there. So they were on a video call. With the rest of the Grey's in Christian's office, the meeting got underway.
When Danny walked into the office, the first thing they all noticed was the smile on her face. That by far was a strange site to see in a business meeting, such as this. Then they all saw her hand. They were all just as happy for her.
"So as you all know we have doubled the surveillance in Buffalo and Italy. We have nothing to report here in the states. MJ, Frankie anything on your end?"
Being the oldest MJ spoke for him and Frankie.
"There has been a lot of activity at the house in Rome. We have confirmed multiple associates of Puddu has been to the house. Puddu has not been seen, but as of right now this is our best lead Christian."
" I agree MJ. So we will all be leaving tonight for Sicily. Then we will make our plans, when we are there."
With that one statement, Christian ended the meeting like they end all meetings.
"No matter what happens, We Protect the Princesses."
Christian made a call to his pilot, they would be in the air in three hours. That will give them time to get home pack and spend a bit of time with their families. They would leave after the younger kids were in bed. Their spouses will understand, their kids not so much.
"Mommy, why can't I go with you to see Uncle Frankie?"
Jacinda said with the saddest look her mother has ever seen on her face. You see she was just as close, if not closer with her Uncle Frankie as her Mother is.
"I all ready told you baby girl, we are not going to Italy for fun. Your Big Paw and I are going there for work."
"An I told you, I can play with Sky and Auntie Aurora."
Jacinda had her hands on her hips. Just as she spoke her father walked into the room. CJ could remember Danny doing that same pose when she was younger. It took everything in him to not to smile as he spoke.
"JACINDA LUCIA, you do not speak to your mother that way."
Jacinda's attitude changed like CJ had flipped a switch.
"Sorry Mommy"
An Jacinda hugged her Mommy. CJ walked up behind his wife and daughter and pulled them both into a hug. He loved this feeling holding his girls in his arms.
"When Mommy gets home , we can all go to the Zoo my Piccola Principessa."
That made Jay Baby giggle. She loved it so much when her Daddy called her that.
"Ok Daddy"
Thankfully Little Chris and Jessie did not take it as hard. After the kids were inn bed, CJ and Danny had a whole 30 minutes to themselves. As they were cuddling on the love seat, CJ spoke to his Princess.
"I know you have to go Princess, and I know your Dad and Uncle's will have your back. But…"
Danny grabbed her husband's hand and kissed it.
"But what CJ?"
" I have this feeling I normally get , when you go out and your carrying a baby of ours. Princess I don't like this, you going that far and having that feeling."
Danny kissed his hand again.
"CJ I just finished my period, two days ago. Sure it was lighter then normal and only 3 days. But it still was my period and I can't be pregnant."
CJ wished her words could put his mind at ease, but it didn't. Still he put a smile on his face. He would never do anything that would put her off her game.
"Ok Princess, you know I love you right."
That made Danny giggle.
"CJ I knew that fact, even when my Mom was still carrying me."
With that CJ kissed her forehead, then her nose and finally gave her a long wet passionate kiss on her lips. Witch left her breathless. This is something CJ does every time, Danny leaves for a job. This kiss seemed to last longer then normal. Not that Danny would ever complain. With that CJ walked Danny over to her parents house. She would be driving to the airport with her Dad. Ana and CJ both got another kiss goodbye, before father and daughter drove off. With sad eyes, Ana turned to her nephew and spoke.
"Remember CJ if you need anything just call me and I will be right over."
CJ pulled his Auntie into a hug. He knew just how hard it was for his Auntie, when his Uncle drove off to do a job. An it was even harder when he was leaving the states. It was hard on him to, but he promised his Uncle a long time ago he would be strong and take care of his Auntie for him.
"An I'm just a phone call away also Auntie. I love you ."
Ana pulled back a little and looked in to the eyes of the young man she thought of as one of her sons.
"I love you to CJ, now go get some rest. My grandbabies will be up nice and early, like normal. An Breakfast will be ready by 8."
"Good Night Auntie and we will see you bright and early."
About an hour later in the air. Christian's brothers, Dad and Godfather were playing a card game. As Danny and Christian spoke, as Danny did some hand exercises.
"How is your hand feeling Mini Me?"
"Not Bad Daddy."
"I'm glad Mini Me. How did my Grandbabies take it when you put them to bed and you had to remind them you would not be there when they woke."
"Well Little Chris and Jessie were sad, but told me to take care of Big Paw."
That made Christian chuckle and Danny smile.
"An what about my Sweetie Pie?"
Danny kinda scoffed at her Dad with that question.
"How bad was it Danny?"
"Well when I told her that, she could not come because me and Big Paw were working. She put her hands on her hips and tried telling me she could play with Sky and Auntie Aurora."
That made Christian laugh out loud. He remembered Danny trying that with him a couple of times. He never could tell her no when she did that. But Ana sure did say NO. Danny got a little annoyed with her Dad laughing so she flipped him off.
"An what did you say to that Mini Me?"
"I never got a chance, not that I think I could have gone up against the mini version of my own attitude. CJ took care of it for me , Daddy."
Now that really made Christian laugh out loud.
"What so funny Dad?"'
Danny only called him Dad was when they were working or she was annoyed with him.
"Well you have it easy. My daughter has my attitude, personality and temperament. Try going up against that my Mini Me."
That made Danny giggle.
"You got me there Daddy."
With that father and daughter both laughed. Some time later they were landing at the Lambert air strip. MJ and Frankie were waiting for them and they drove to the Lambert estate. Frankie had been staying at his brothers house. As MJ's wife and kids were staying at Frankie's house. They never take any chances when it comes to family. They got to MJ's house around 4:20 am, witch would be about 7:20 the night before in the states.
"Princess we arrived at our brothers house."
"Good Christian , you know how I worry when you travel internationally with out me."
"I know baby. I promise you, I will be home with our family safe as soon as I can."
"I love you so much Christian , now please get some sleep for me. I know at least I will have hard time sleeping with out you, till you return."
"Princess go check under your pillow."
Ana walked into their bedroom to find Christians shirt he wore all day before he left under her pillow. She quickly pulled it on and picked her phone back up. Christian could hear her breath in his scent over the phone and that made him smile. After 27 years of marriage he is still the only one who can truly make her relax.
"God only knows how much I Love you Christian."
That statement made Christian chuckle a little bit.
"I have some idea baby. Because I love you just as much. Maybe even a little bit more."
That made Ana giggle. An Christian smiled from ear to ear.
"Tell our babies big and small I love them very much and I will see them soon."
"Of course Christian. Please tell Danny and the rest I love them all and I will see them soon."
"Now go relax Princess, Have some ben and Jerry's vanilla ice cream and think of everything I will do to you, the next time we are sharing a pint."
That made Ana giggle and a light blush, washed over Ana's face.
"Your blushing baby"
"No I'm not Christian."
Ana tried saying with a stright face. Witch made Christian laugh out loud.
"Princess I know you better then anyone."
"I know Christian, I love you get some sleep."
A few hours later, Christian and the rest were meeting in MJ's office. Normally, when in Italy MJ would be running the meeting. Not today, today it was Christian's show.
"It's Thursday now, I want us home no later then Sunday morning in the states time. That gives us a little over 48 hours, to get that fucker. The longer this drags out the harder this will be to get him."
After that the Greys, Lamberts and Russo's got to work. Going over all the intel, photographs and house plans. They were in that office till after 10 that night making plans. Their loved ones would be pissed at them because they barely eat all day. That is why when Danny got a little queasy, she did not make anything of it. It was determined that they would go in Friday night and get the fucker. So for most of friday morning they relaxed after a bit of a sleep in.
Around six the next night the men and Danny suited up. Christian's father, Godfather, daughter and all his brothers were going in. They were not going to take any chances. They would go in at ten pm on the dot and be out, no later then 10:20 pm. Any loner it can be dangerous.
About ten yards from the Puddu house.
"All right Danny and men, we have 20 minutes to get in and get out. You all know your mission. I want this as clean as can be. No blood will be dropped tonight. In less you have no choice in the matter. I want them bound and gagged so the clean up crew can get them out and to MJ's plane by 11."
They went in two by twos. Number 1 rule always make sure someone has your back. That was a very long 20 minutes , but they got in and out with out one drop of blood being spilled. They did get a Puddu, but not Keith Puddu. A bound and beaten Xavier Puddu was found in an upper bedroom by Danny and Christian. It would seem the 70 something year old man was left to die all by himself. Fuckin Puddu must have gotten tired of beating his old man, or he used the old man as a trap. No one would say it but they all felt sorry for the old man. No matter what the old man did 54 years ago. No one thought that they had the heart to hurt this man anymore, but that was Grace's choice.
It was all ready decided that anyone they took from that house would be taken back to the states. This started in the states and would end in the states. It was all decided it would be safest to take them stright to the plane. The men that were gagged were thrown in to a pile in the back of the plane. The old man was placed in the pile more gently. About half way through the flight Danny got really sick. She thought maybe she had food poisoning. After all no one could cook.
When they landed the men that were taken, went to the warehouse with Christian's crew. They were waiting for An Christian and his family headed home for an early morning surprise for they family, they left in the states. After they kissed they family and hugged them. Danny and the rest headed to their bedrooms at the grove for a nap.
The Grey's were all enjoying a nice Sunday evening at the Grove. Most of the ladies were working on Dinner. As Christian and the guys were playing with the kids. An Mia was checking out Danny in her bedroom at the Grove. As Carrick was getting another lesson on using his smart phone. Little Chris had to teach him one thing at a time or his Great Grandfather would not remember anything.
"Chris why does my phone, keep dying on me so fast."
"Granddad you have to close the apps on your phone, that's why your phone keeps dying on you."
"An how do I do that again Chris."
Just as Chris was about to explain that to his Granddad, Danny walked into the living room. She called the ladies in from the kitchen. Then she announced the whole room that she was pregnant. She was about 4 weeks along. Most of the room was speechless. Except CJ and Christian who were tense. After all look what Danny was doing the other day. It took Danny a few minutes to calm them down and she had to promise nothing like that in till this baby makes their arrival.
After calling Luke and John to come over, so they could tell them the great news. That night as a family, they all watch Jumanji. It was one of the few movies that the entire family could agree on. That night Christian, Carrick and Grace had a true heart to heart conversation about Xavier Puddu. The men told Grace everything they saw at that house.
As the men thought, Grace did not have to think about it.
"I know you are still mad about what he tried doing to Christian and myself. But I think he has suffered enough."
Grace had said her peace and left the room with a kiss to each man's cheek. Even though, they all knew what Grace would say, they were still relieved . They may be the Mafia and many feared them. But they were not heartless. They all knew that the old man could not take care of himself. So they decided that they would place him in a nursing home. It was not the riches place to live but it was not a dump. An they payed the home enough money to take care of him, for the rest of his life.
The next morning Luke filled everyone in on what happened with the cop and who the traiter was. The cop and the traiter was at the warehouse. The traiter was a lower member of Elliot's crew. he was pretending to be , a Capo for the Grays. It was mere luck he found out about the drugs. It would seem the cop had promised him a good amount of money if he did this. As of right now, it does not appear that this had anything to do with Puddu.
I have thought long and hard about this chapter. I hope you guys are not disappointed with it. I did what, I thought was the right thing to do. The Grey's and their family maybe bad guys but they are not heartless.
Chapter 10
Even though Danny knew, Grace was happy with what they chose to do with that old man. Her Gi Gi still had been acting off the last few days. So she decided to take her Gi Gi shopping. Her father in law / Uncle Luke's birthday is in a week. Grace had always considered Luke to be one of her kids. They had been walking around the mall for about 20 minutes, when it happened. They had 4 cpos surrounding them. Out of no where Danny heard.
"GET DOWN"
An just as she heard those words , she was pushed out of the way. As she was falling she heard a gun shot. Danny looked up in horror, when she realized who got shot.
I know I'm leaving it at a cliff hanger till January but I could not help it. January 2nd I will pick up writing one of the last three chapters of Part 1. Merry Christmas to all that celebrate Christmas and A happy new year to everyone else.
