The Ruinverse Chapter 92- Assimilated Wrath, a rwby fanfic

The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.

From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

The Ruinverse: Chapter Ninety Two, Assimilated Wrath.

-Remnant, Sanus, Vale, Beacon Academy, Emerald Forest-

CRASH!

BOOOM!

CLANG!

"N-NOBODY TOLD ME THERE'D BE THIS MANY!" yelled a tall semi muscular fair skinned young man with short blond hair, dark blue blood shot eyes, wearing a black short sleeved hoodie with detached reddish-orange sleeves, a pure white diamond shaped chest plate with gold lining, white spaulders with rerebraces set under them over his shoulders, brown wrist-length fingerless gloves with small metal plates over the backs of each, two brown belts that criss-crossed around his waist with two small brown pouches on the sides, blue jeans with a white patch placed on the left knee, white socks, black sneakers, and holding a long silver sword with a golden hilt in his right hand and a white shield with two golden crescent moons in his left hand, in a panic as he was pushed back upon the cliffside by a large white 'tree trunk', landing right on the ground as he looked towards the center of the wooden area below.

Which was currently dominated by four massive black and white two headed serpentine-like creatures with large blood red eyes, multiple sharp fangs, white boney spikes around the eyes of the main head and gray boney spikes around the eyes of the secondary head, a long black forked tongue, specks of black and white patches near the center of the body and thick red markings around the heads, all thrashing about as the blonde's team were jumping back and forth between attacking the monsters bodies and landing back on the cliff sides.

This was Team JNPR, Huntsmen in Training, and they were currently fighting a group of King Taijius under orders from Glynda Goodwitch to exterminate them before they started attacking the school.

BAM!

"It's a twofer!" Nora yelled while Jaune looked at her in terror, having heard Ren's calm observation amidst the field of battle.

"I DIDN'T EVEN WANT ONE!"

Keep moving. We don't want to get surrounded." Pyrrha called out while slashing against the skin of the Grimm with her javelin. "If they wrap around us, we're done for!"

"You gotta be kidding!" Jaune yelled with a groan while landing back onto the cliffside, watching as his partner attempted to cut the head off one of the Grimm's heads, the white one to be exact.

"Their skin's slippery." She said with a stunned look on her face as she turned her javelin into a rifle and fired upon the Grimm's head. "My blade's not able to cut through!"

"If we can't cut 'em..." Nora yelled with a grin while raising her hammer above her head.

BAM!

FWAK!

"THEN LET'S SMASH 'EM!"

FWAK!

BAM!

Blow after blow landed upon the heads of the King Taijitus as Ren used his blades to slice their necks.

"AND ONE FOR YOU!"

BAM!

SLASH!

BAM!

"We can't cut through their scales." Ren called out while seeing the cuts on one of the white half's bodies not making a dent. "Go for their eyes, mouths or head. Watch out for their fangs!" 'This is going to be a challenge…maybe I should've used my aura to blow it up…no, not when over a cliff!'

"Like I need you to tell me that!" Jaune yelled while dodging one of the heads, seeing Nora using her hammer as a witch's broom in midair. 'Nora, this isn't the time to play witch!'

"Hey Ren!" she called out while Ren grumbled a little, closing his eyes for the inevitable 'dumb question'. "You think their bite is venomous?"

"Nora...considering the size of their teeth, it won't be the venom that kills us." 'And even if it was, you'd be breaking them off before that happened.'

CRASH!

SKIIIIIIDDDD!

Jaune sighed in exhaustion as he landed back on one of the cliff sides, hoping that the battle didn't last too much longer, for his heart's sake. "This is exhausting."

Russle.

"C'mon, Jaune Arc." Jaune muttered to himself as the sounds of crunching leaves were heard in the nearby tree on his left side. "You can do this! And if you don't, Cardin will never let you live it down!" 'Ugh, I hate that so much…but I need to prove myself, and this is my big chance!'

Russle.

"Mm?" He muttered in confusion as he turned towards the trees, his eyes spotting something…weird lurking on the upper branches.

That being a pure white creature with a skull-like head made of pure bone, six deep red eyes, two curved white forms on the sides of its 'head', long black tentacles, and red markings along its forehead, which seemed to be looking upon the battlefield with anticipation.

"What's that?" Jaune muttered while not noticing the creature's eyes staring right at him. "Another new type of Grimm?" 'Or maybe an alien…no, that sounds too much like Nora's fantasies to be real.'

"HISSSSSSS!"

The blonde quickly turned around, just in time for one of the serpentine heads to move towards him, mouth extended to swallow him whole. "Oh crap!"

SWISH!

Jaune's eyes widened as the skull-like creature latched onto his face, its many tentacles lashing out towards the incoming Grimm as two of its tentacles began to burrow deep into the blonde's skin, deep white veins forming where the tentacles rested as they began to spread outwards across his body. "A-AAAAAHHHHHHH!"

"HHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"

CRASH!

BAM!

In an instant, the combatants stopped attacking each other and looked upon the writhing bodies of the infected creature, Pyrrha's eyes widening in horror as the creature's tentacles began wrapping around the other three King Taijitus' bodies.

"JAUNE!"

"What're they doing!?" Nora yelled in disbelief as the Grimm began to move towards the cliffside, Jaune's body becoming engulfed by the larger Grimm's bodies.

BOOOOM!

RUMBLE!

Pyrrha's heart began to increase in speed as thick black fibers began to form around the mass of bodies, forming a large cocoon that seemingly hardened upon exposure to the air. 'Jaune, oh gods, I should've been there!'

Crack!

The hardened 'cocoon' began to instantly dissolve into nothing as a low growl could be heard from within, just as Team RWBY jumped down and right next to the now leaderless Team JNPR.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, JNPR!" Ruby yelled out while not seeing her teammates' horrified expressions upon seeing the cocoon. "Team RWBY is here to…"

RUMBLE!

"Save the…" Ruby trailed off while looking upwards, the ground shaking below her feet as a large shadow fell over the team's position.

And lo, from the now evaporated cocoon came an extremely tall semi muscular obsidian skinned young man with long white snake-like hair sporting black bone-like points at the ends of the 'heads' foreheads and milky white eyes, two blood red eyes with four smaller eyes around the sides, long curved white fangs lining the jawline and down to his lower neck by a thick white line, two massive curved black horns on the top of his head with crimson tips, thick spiky bone-like plates over the eyes and spine, long black bone-like spikes on the shoulders and lower back, long claw-like white nails, fourteen large black bone covered tendrils jutting from his shoulder blades that spasmed in the air like hungry snakes, blood red and white checkerboard-like scales covering his chest, shoulders, arms and lower neck, large black spikes around the hips and a long serpentine-like lower body with eight long snake-like tentacles with triangular snake heads with blood red eyes and long black fangs at the ends, as its expression was filled with pure malice, the snake-like appendages thrashing about like starving wolves.

"HISSSSSSS!"

"WHAT IS THAT!?" Ruby yelled in horror as she felt both disgust and fear petrifying her body like stone. "EEW!"

"What the hell is that!?" Yang yelled while pointing at the massive humanoid 'Grimm'. "I thought you were battling King Taijitus!"

"We were…but that…thing…" Ren said while trying to form a rational sentence, and failing due to the shock.

"That thing's Jaune Jaune!" Nora yelled as Blake went wide eyed in shock.

"What!? How-"

"He was fused with the other Grimm." Pyrrha interrupted while still feeling guilty of her previous inactions. "I don't know how but this was the result."

"This thing's going to kill us!" Weiss yelled while seeing the 'Grimm' head staring at them with contempt. "And now it's looking at us!" 'I might've not liked Jaune but by the gods, this is a terrible fate!'

"The Orochi is going down!" Nora yelled while raising her hammer up, only for Pyrrha to quickly stop it with her semblance. "Pyrrha!?"

"You can't hurt him! That's Jaune!"

"That thing isn't Jaune anymore!" the Schnee yelled while glaring at Pyrrha. "He stopped being the dunce the moment he got himself in that situation!"

"He can be cured! We can get him out of that-"

"Um, guys." Yang said while her eyes widened, the 'Grimm's' tentacled back stretching outwards in every direction. "I think it's going to attack!"

The teams quickly turned to the humanoid Grimm as the tentacles' tips quickly extended outwards, faster than a speeding bullet, and created multiple extensions around each of their tips.

"RRRROOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!"

"CAW CAW!"

"AROOOOO!"

The sounds of multiple Grimm, each one in pain, echoed across the Emerald Forest as Blake began to back away.

"Blake?" Yang said in confusion as she noticed her eyes were completely dilated inwards.

"We need to run, now!"

RUMBLE!

"Why? We can take him!" Nora yelled with confidence before Weiss began to realize what was going on, followed by Ren and Pyrrha.

"Nora, that…Orochi can fuse with organic materials." Ren said while Ruby began to realize the severity of the situation and quickly grabbed the two teams by the cuffs of their sleeves.

"Eh? Meaning?"

"That Grimm is going to get bigger with each Grimm it absorbs."

"...and?"

"It's going to consume ALL of the Grimm in the forest just to KILL US!" Blake snapped in fear as Ruby began to pour all of her aura into a single 'run', away from her now Grimmified friend's oncoming rampage.

WOOOSH!

In a flurry of rose petals, the teams vanished into the distance as the Orochi roared in the background, the sounds of cracking muscles and the snapping of bones echoed amongst the cries of the forests' panicking Grimm population.

(Two hours later)

-Beacon Academy-

BOOOOM!

CRASH!

"HHHHHIIIISSSSSS!"

Destruction, pure destruction loomed over the ruined remains of Beacon as the massive Orochi Grimm, now even larger than before, began tearing up the white stone masonry from the ground and threw it across the campus ground as its many tentacles and serpentine heads either consumed or impaled the fleeing survivors, both students and faculty, as many of their defenders were laying dead amongst the flaming wasteland.

Yet many of these former teams and scattered remains rushed towards the airship docks, looking for any form of safety as the ships that were filled to capacity flew away, trying their best to avoid the tendrils and thrown rubble for the sake of the traumatized individuals in their cargo bays.

However, casualties loomed over the fateful voyage as many of the ships were crushed by the former castle's walls, killing many in the process and leaving others maimed.

RUMBLE!

As the carnage continued to unfold, one of the many airships began to rise from the platforms, its occupants huddling together in a mixture of fear and comfort to the injured.

Yet for one Pyrrha Nikos, her thoughts weren't on the carnage nor her friend's safety, having been the first to escape via Ruby's semblance and Ozpin's surprising emergency escape plan.

But instead…her thoughts were on her partner's fate.

'Jaune.' she thought as a lone tear fell down her left cheek, her gaze looking outwards from the side of the airship and towards the rampaging Grimm. 'I'm sorry I failed you.'

RUMBLE!

As she looked upon the destruction, her mind began to play various scenarios, each one involving Jaune's transformation and how she could've saved him from his fate. Yet..it was all for not as each 'What If' ended the same, he would've been too slow to react and she would've been too late.

It hurt…it hurt her mind, body and soul…it just hurt the champion to her very core.

Gripping her hands tightly, the Champion of Mistral narrowed her eyes, conviction and determination flowing throughout her body as she finally made up her mind.

"Jaune." she muttered to herself as the airship quickly moved out of Beacon airspace. "I promise on my life and soul that I will find a way to return you to normal. I will not rest until that day comes, even if I have to wait a lifetime to do so."

WOOOSH!

"I will save you Jaune Arc, my partner and love." she yelled out while the Orochi turned in her direction, seemingly hearing her voice and recognizing it. "I will save you! Even if I have to trudge onwards for the rest of my life! I WILL SAVE YOU JAUNE!"

ZOOOOOWWSSSSHHH!

The Grimm growled as the airship flew away, its eyes narrowing before it let out a roar that shook the air and made all that heard it freeze in place with fear. "RRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

As the screen began to fade to black, the camera began to move towards the Grimm's forehead, where a humanoid skull with a set of six eyes stared at the screen, its humanoid face growling in rage before several black tentacles latched onto the screen and everything went silent.

Bio: In this timeline, within the RWBYverse's dark reflection of Dimension 3002015- 50 RWBY, known to those outside the RWBYverse and Ruinverse as the Manga Alphaverse aka Manga RWBY 2015, the events of the canon timeline are stylized within the borders of a manga-like aesthetic. Yet the events of Team JNPR's time in Beacon Academy is relatively the same as most timelines, except for one mission near the end of their first year…that being to clear out a nest of King Taijitu Grimm from the Emerald Forest, during their first semester break to boot, as part of Glynda Goodwitch's assignments. However, during the mission, a parasitic Grimm simply known as a Tentacle Grimm fused with four King Taijiu Grimms and transformed into a massive eight headed Grimm that was defeated by Team JNPR and the added assistance of Team RWBY…in the lighter reflection of this timeline that is. But in this reality, the Tentacle Grimm latched onto Jaune Arc, the only one that noticed the Grimm's existence, first before it fused with the other Grimm due to sensing the boy's massive aura and craving a stronger host to manipulate. This simple act created deadly ramifications as when the human and Grimm fused into a single giant sized humanoid entity, one with the traits of all six entities but governed by the Tentacle Grimm's will, the newly christened Orochi Grimm, called by shocked Nora Valkyrie upon seeing it, began to absorb all nearby Grimm species to grow stronger, destroying everything in its path in the process. With the strength of a Grimm and the intelligence of a human, the Orochi Grimm completely destroys Beacon Academy, causing the residences to evacuate as numerous students and teachers fell to the Grimm's powers. Yet, hope found a way to escape the destruction as Pyrrha Nikos, seeing her crush transform into a monster before her eyes, vows with her entire soul that she'll find a cure to Jaune's 'affliction', to save him from the Grimm's influence even if it kills her, no matter how long it will take and how much destruction the new Grimm King would bring to Remnant once Vale is wiped off the map. And thus, the end of one story and the beginning of a new, and perhaps, hopeful conclusion…MaYbE?
