The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.

From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

The Ruinverse: Chapter Ninety Eight, Fatal Reunion.

-Remnant, Somewhere in Anima-

"Mmmmm…" groaned a voice from the back of a horse drawn wagon, the white and gray horse clopping down the dirt path as a blonde haired man held the leather reins of the stubborn animal, a white hooded woman holding a small child, obscured by her own long cloak, in her arms. "So boring…"

Clop.

Clop.

Clop.

"Dad. When are we going to get to the next town?" the voice said from under a green tarp-like blanket, the 'lump' moving a little towards the front of the wagon.

"Relax firespitter. We'll get there soon."

"But you said that a day ago." spoke a short fair skinned young girl with long shoulder length golden hair that was tied into pigtails by orange ribbons and faded to pale gold near the tips, a small cowlick on top of her head, lilac eyes, wearing a light brown short sleeved shirt with puffy sleeves and two openings on the sides that were held together by crisscrossing black threads, a yellow bandanna around her neck, an orange belt with a silver buckle, long dull dark brown knee length shorts with small inner notches at the bottom of the legs, orange folded-down socks and brown shoes, as she poked her body out of the tarp and sat on the older man's lap. "And I think we are lost."

"Nonsense. This is the path to Vitality Village." He chuckled before moving a little closer to the white cloaked woman's left ear. "Sum, is this the path?"

"Possibly, but I haven't been to Anima since our student days." the woman said with a soft whisper in her voice, trying not to wake the child in her hands. "Still, we can manage."

"I don't know, it was Qrow who helped us travel back then and since he's currently somewhere in Vauco-"

"Relax Tai, we can travel just fine without Qrow's help." Summer smiled while Yang looked around the nearby forest, the trees becoming more and more scarce as the wagon moved deeper into the slowly growing mountain valley. "It might take longer to get to Vitality Village but it will be a fun trip for Yang."

"True, Patch only has so much for a soon to be six year old."

"Yeah, in two days no less. But you're right Tai, Patch is a nice place to raise a family but it does get boring after a while."

Taiyang sighed while keeping his eyes on the trail, wholeheartedly agreeing with his wife about Patch being boring, even with all the Grimm running about like rats on said island. 'She's not wrong.'

"Plus, I have a feeling this trail will take us to the village faster than the main road."

"Are you sure? You're…not so good with directions, or luck in general."

"Oh relax, this trail will lead us to the village." she smiled while Yang looked at the approaching forest with a hint of dread.

'That mountain is…big. But we can pass it…right?'

(A few days later)

Crackle.

Crackle.

Crackle.

WOOOSH!

A small fire crackled in the middle of a small hand dug fire pit as Yang sat near a tall tree overlooking a cliff side, the cloud covered night sky preventing anyone from seeing beyond the fire itself, as the sleeping bodies of Summer and Taiyang were huddled close to the fire, keeping warm against the chilled Anima night while in the cloaked woman's hands was a sleeping 'ball' that was obscured by the shadows.

Yet …within the glow of the fire, not a trace of the wagon or the horse could be seen…as if they were wiped from existence itself.

The reason? Simple, they got themselves lost in the mountains of Anima.

Well, it was more like it just happened by complete accident. First, the horse got spooked by a lightning strike on the path, which caused the wagon to be dragged away as well, and then they got themselves confused by unfamiliar landmarks for about three to four days.

All of this because they had to stop and rock collect, on Taiyang's insistence.

Needless to say, the trip became a little…hard for them, given that they had no way of finding Vitality Village now, yet they endured and, after tonight, they could find their way out of the mountains and back to civilization.

GROWL!

'Hungry.' Yang thought as her stomach growled, having not eaten anything since two days ago and feeling a little sad that she had to spend her birthday in the middle of nowhere. 'Next time, I'm not going to be picky with dad's squirrel steak idea.'

GROWL!

Hunger filled her body as Yang began to flinch at every bird noise or the sudden crack of a nearby branch, feeling unsafe in this unfamiliar landscape.

'I want to go home.' she thought to herself while wrapping her arms around her legs and tucked herself into a ball. 'I want to be in my bed…not here.'

As she began to think about home, she recalled her baby sister, Ruby, and how she was currently sleeping in Summer's arms.

'Gods, I can't just think about me. I need to think about her…but still, she must be thinking about home as well. Not this dark forest or the mountains…or the Grimm…' she thought to herself while a cold chill ran down her spine. 'Oh no, what if the Grimm showed up? Oh no, no no no! I heard all about them from uncle Qrow! They eat kids and steal refrigerators too!'

CRACK!

The blonde's eyes widened as she heard the sound of a branch breaking, her body instinctively tightening her grip around her knees as several red eyes seemed to be moving closer to the small cliffside forest clearing, seemingly tracking something in the underbrush.

'Please don't eat me! Please don't eat us!' she thought in a panic, her breathing became heavy as her heart began to beat faster and faster, fear overtaking her childish mind as the red eyes began looking at the group's direction. 'Please don't eat us! Oh please let this be a dream! Please let me be in my bed in Patch! Please! PLEASE!'

Crack!

SNAP!

'Please let this be a dream!'

RUSSLE.

SNAP!

Her eyes dilated inwards as the sound of footsteps began to move towards the fire, low growls reverberating across the darkened land as several large shadows formed around the fire pit's glowing 'aura'.

SQUISH!

RIP!

"RAW!"

"RAW!"

"RAW!"

Yang's eyes darted towards the fire as she saw four shadowy masses over the now bleeding bodies of her parents, sharp fangs piercing their necks as one of them was attempting to break Summer's face in with its teeth, the expressions of 'calm' sleep contrasting against the brutal assault of these monstrous entities. 'AAAAAAAHHHHH!'

"RAWRRRRRR." growled a large obsidian fur lined feline-like creature with deep red eyes, a thick white skull with red marks on the forehead and lower eyes, sharp teeth with curved white canines, triangular ears, sharp five fingered claws on each paw, small white bone plates on the shoulders and hips, thick spines lining the upper spine, jutting white ribs on the sides and a long bony white tail, as it stood a little away from the fire pit, staring at Yang's spot as it began to approach the now terrified girl.

Yang quickly unclamped her arms from her knees and stood up, ready to flee at a moment's notice, as the feline predator began to snarl at her, viewing her as potential prey.

"RAWRRRRRR."

"S-Stay back!" Yang stuttered while trying to look tough, but failed as she backed away slowly, only to notice that the cliffside had ended near her heels. 'Oh no!'

Yet as she contemplated jumping off the cliff or not, she noticed a 'lump' squirming within Summer's now bloodied cloak.

Her…baby sister.

"RAWRRRRRR." the predatory cat growled while its claws retracted, ready to strike the girl down like a deer, as the blonde's eyes widened in horror.

"R-RUBY!" she screamed as the 'monster' 'cat' growled and began running towards her, only for her to quickly run to the right, attempting to make a beeline towards the cloak and her sister before the Grimm took notice of the 'lump'.

"RAWRRRRRR!"

Yet as she saw the four cat-like predators stare right back at her, blood dripping from their jaws, her baser instincts kicked in and…in an instant, all thoughts of Ruby were lost as she found herself running straight into the woods for her own survival.

SNAP!

CRACK!

RUSSLE!

RUSSLE!

"RAW!"

"Ah! AH! AH! AH! AH!" Yang panted as she ran through the bushes, the Grimm moving faster and faster towards her direction as she felt her mind was in autopilot, her adrenaline keeping her a little away from the jaws of death.

But for how long would that last?

"RAW!"

SNAP!

CRACK!

As her energy reserves began to fail her, the child took notice of a large log hanging between two dead elm trees and began running towards the second tree's right side, grabbing hold of it as the Grimm roared behind her.

CRUNCH!

SCISH!

'Need to hide! NEED TO HIDE! AHHHHH!' she thought in terror as the Grimm's claws dug into the bark, just as she was nearly towards the log's hollowed 'entrance'.

"RAWRRRRRR!" it growled while using all its strength to climb the crumbling bark, its claws forming deep gouges as it saw the human child scurrying into the log like a common mouse.

Moving deeper into the log, Yang began to feel her body becoming exhausted from fatigue, her strength fading as the Grimm's head poked through the log and attempted to claw its way in.

SCRITCH!

CRUNCH!

SCRITCH!

BAM!

CRUNCH!

"RAWRRRRRR!"

As fear entered the mind of the blonde, her eyes dilated to the point of looking like small balls of black, she felt like this was going to be her last day on Remnant's surface, to never grow up and become successful like her parents wanted her to be.

To never see…her sister again.

"RAWRRRRRR!"

However, as she thought back to her baby sister, a sudden realization entered her mind.

Her sister could still be alive.

'...she has to be alive. She can't die…she can't! She can't! SHE CAN'T!' Yang thought, her eyes turning a bright red color and her body began glowing a dull yellow aura. 'SHE CAN'T BE DEAD! I WON'T LET IT!'

"RAWRRRRRR!" The Grimm growled with fury as its claws began to pry open the sides of the log, allowing it to move half its body inwards as Yang's expression changed from terrified to pure rage.

"You."

"RAWRRRRRR!"

"Will."

SCRISH!

CRUNCH!

"Not."

"RAWRRRRRR!" it roared before Yang charged towards the Grimm's face, her right hand filled with a glowing aura.

"HAVE MY SISTER!"

POW!

CRACK!

And in an instant, the Grimm's skull-like mask began to crack, the girl's last bout of adrenaline and her new found 'confidence' causing the feline to go flying out of the log and into a nearby tree before getting impaled by the sharpened branches and dissipating into darkness.

"Ah…ah….ow…" she groaned in pain, her entire right arm feeling like it just punched a train multiple times, as the aura vanished along with her crimson eyes, leaving her alone and tired in the process. "That hurts…ow…"

As the clouds began to part a little, revealing the light of the half moon, the log's interior began to brighten, revealing an…interesting sight.

The bleached white hair of Yang, a stark contrast to her previous golden locks.

"Ah…ah…Grimm…Ru..by…" she groaned as her right hand was covered in her own blood, her eyes drooping a little from exhaustion. "Will...fi…nd..you…kill…all…Grimm…"

Crunch!

"Wait…for me…" she muttered softly before falling on her face, passing out in the process as everything went black, the sounds of cracking branches heard somewhere in the background.

(Many years later)

-Solitas, Atlas, Atlas Academy, Headmaster's Office-

Beep.

[Headmaster Ironwood, Miss Llinyn is here…..again.]

Ironwood sighed as he sat at his office table, a small snow flurry visible from the window behind him as he placed both hands over his face. 'Not this again!'

[Shall I ring her in?]

"Yes, I'll deal with her."

Click.

"...gods, this is the ten hundredth time she came here." he muttered to himself while feeling like he aged a few decades. 'If this is another fight I'm expelling her. The last time she caused a 'fight' she nearly killed a student!'

Creak.

The doors to the office slowly opened before-

SLAM!

It was kicked wide open, only for it to slam backwards.

BAM!

"GAH! MOTHER FUCKING DOOR!" yelled a very pissed off voice as the sound of metallic 'clicking' could be heard. "TASTE FI-"

"Don't even try it, Miss Llinyn." Ironwood said sternly. "I do not need the academy burning to the ground because of your temper!"

Grumbling could be heard behind the door as it opened up again, revealing a tall fair skinned woman with long white hair that went to her hips and had pale gold tips at the ends, a cowlick on top of her head, lilac eyes, a F cup chest and wide ass, wearing a white long sleeved shirt with cuffed sleeves, a dark gray tie, a gray sleeveless pocket-vest jacket, white dress gloves, thick elbow length white gauntlets with cylindrical openings on over the palm and lower arm along with a curved clear silver holster on the left and right sides tinted with red glass, a white belt with a gray buckle, a gray hip length skirt with white lining, gray low hip length stockings and knee high black boots, whose expression was filled with agitation and frustration mixed with a cold almost detached glaze as she walked into the room, rubbing her nose with her right hand.

"Grrr, stupid door." she growled while Ironwood mentally sighed at her total disregard for furniture. "What is it, headmaster?"

"You tell me, Miss Llinyn. Stephanie didn't explain the details, but knowing you, it involves violence."

She frowned while looking at her left hand, seemingly not caring about her headmaster or the fact she was in 'trouble'. "It's nothing, sir."

"Miss Llinyn, nothing about you is just 'nothing'."

"..."

"Miss Llinyn."

"Fine, I was sent here by Professor Icarios, apparently he thought I was 'trying to kill' one of the students again." She frowned while looking rather…uninterested in anything and was looking a little dazed. "Not my fault the guy tried to ask me for his number, while also calling me a Schnee. I have the hair but I'm not one of those assholes."

'Not this again.' "And did you 'kill' this student?"

"No, I just broke his pelvis."

Ironwood frowned while seeing Yang's apathetic face looking at him, internally screaming in frustration at this murderous girl.

Yet, he sympathized in her current predicament, given she lost her parents and sister to the Grimm and was adopted by Alexandra Llinyn, a Specialist that rarely visits Atlas in favor of keeping watch of the town of Umbra...but even still, he was really losing his patience for this woman.

She was violent, quick to anger and seemed to have a hatred for all things Grimm, traits that would fly in Vauco and Vale but not in Atlas, especially when she doesn't seem to care or even comprehend the strict guidelines for an Atlasian Huntress.

Every single time she did one thing, she either nearly kills someone, destroys property for no reason, sets vehicles ablaze, attempted to steal Dust, almost murdered her own roommate Neon Katt for resembling a 'feline' Grimm, and once, to his frustration, attempted to kill the CEO of the Schnee Dust Company and would have succeeded if Winter Schnee, his most loyal Specialist, didn't break up the fight…and all because the man mocked her sister no less.

'Gods give me strength!' he thought to himself while his semblance attempted to 'help' him focus on the main problem.

She was a loose cannon, one that could kill anyone if given a chance, and she had no other goals than her own flights of fancy free.

To locate her missing sister and bring her home.

'I know I told her my best men would try and find her sister but we all but gave up on that a long time ago. No human could've survived a Sabyr attack, especially a child at her age.' the man thought as Yang looked towards the window, her gaze fixated upon the snow outside. 'Yet she still keeps that dream alive…admirable but it's consuming her life. If she keeps this up, she will fall into the abyss and never return.'

"Ruby." the woman muttered before the headmaster coughed into his sleeve, breaking her trance and narrowing her eyes at the man. "Can I go now? I have things to do."

"Not until your punishment is given to you." he frowned. "Breaking a student's pelvis for calling you a Schnee and flirting is inexcusable Miss Llinyn. For the next two months, you will be serving detention and making sure the student you harmed is compensated for your actions."

"What!? That's bull! He started it!"

"Yet you 'nearly killed' him. If this was any other student you'd be expelled and jailed by the Atlas Military for crimes against humanity, but given your history, I'm giving you one last chance to correct yourself." He said with a stern voice. "If you don't follow this punishment to the dot or attempt anything else of this caliber, you will be treated like a war criminal and placed in solitary confinement for the next decade."

She scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Miss Llinyn. Take this seriously."

"This isn't my responsibility, that stuff is worthless and meaningless to me." she said coldly. "All I care about is finding Ruby and nothing else."

"Miss Llinyn, I have been lenient on your actions because of the simple fact you lost everything at a young age but acting like a one tracked brute isn't the right way to deal with your stress." Ironwood frowned. "Think about your career, think about the people around you. You are the brightest student in your class for a reason, but acting upon your emotions and attacking your fellow students isn't going to help you in the long run."

"Like I said, all of that isn't my problem. Ruby's safety is the problem so everything else isn't going to affect my choices."

SLAM!

Ironwood slammed his hands onto the table as it cracked a little on the right side. "Miss Llinyn! Stop clinging to the past! You have an entire life to live, friends to make and life choices to consider. You can't keep chasing down a specter of your old life!"

The woman's eyes turned bright red as she pointed her weapons at the headmaster. "RUBY IS MY ENTIRE LIFE!"

"Stand down Miss Llinyn!"

She growled in agitation before turning round and kicked the door off its hinges with her right leg, walking away from the agitated headmaster.

"Miss Llinyn! Don't walk away from me!"

"You aren't the boss of me, no one is."

The leader of the Atlasian Military took a heavy sigh of frustration as he sat back on his chair, feeling like he just made things worse in some way. "Damn it. I should've stepped in and taught her discipline before she attained Atlas Academy." 'Or at least contacted Qrow and…his sister. But knowing them, they are too busy with their own affairs to even realize Yang's been gone for years. Especially Qrow…although I haven't heard from him in eighteen years either and Raven's been awfully quiet since the last raid…'

Clank.

As he stood up and looked at the snow outside his window, he pushed a button on his Scroll and sighed.

"Iris."

Beep boop.

"Contact Ozpin, tell him that the Silver Eye's sister is becoming a problem and he needs to get Qrow Branwen and Raven Branwen's attention. Get them to Atlas to sort out the issue while I reprimand Specialist Llinyn for neglecting the needs of her own step-daughter."

Boop boop.

As the scroll glowed a dull blue color, his eyes closed and he felt his semblance working its 'magic' on his stress.

'If this keeps up, she will one day become more deadly than Salem, possibly more vicious…and I can't let that happen, not when I'm around.'

(Elsewhere)

WOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHH!

"Fuck him." The white haired woman growled while using her weapons to fire a jet of superheated flames at a nearby snow bank, melting it instantly as she walked out of the academy and towards the exit. "Fuck him, fuck the professors, fuck the students and fuck everything. He doesn't know what it's like to lose everything. No one does!"

WOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHH!

"I only came to this fucking school to learn how to kill Grimm! Not to be a perfect soldier or a Huntress, I needed to learn how to kill! I needed to be a killer to find my baby sister!" she growled before melting another snow bank. "But if this place wants to cage me, then I'm done with being a Huntress, I'm done being here! I'm going to find Ruby and bring her home, even if no one will help me!"

WOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHH!

As she moved towards the gates, the woman noticed that someone left a dark gray HVB Rhino near the side of the wall, a small black cubed container with a pizza emblem on the side sporting the words 'Mama Joana' on the bottle with red letters on the back of the hoverbike, and smirked with interest.

"Oh that will work." she said before throwing the container off the bike, causing its contents of pizzas and soda to go flying across the area as she jumped onto the driver's seat and revved up the engines. "Now, let's find my sister!"

ZOOOOM!

ZOOOOOM!

ZOOOOOOOM!

"Don't worry Ruby, Yang's coming!" she yelled before flying away from the academy, ignoring the nearby student's and staff's reactions or their attempts to dodge the speeding vehicle.

For she was on a mission, and no one will stop that and live.

(A few weeks later)

-Anima, Somewhere outside Wind Path-

ZOOOOOOOOOM!

WOOOOOSH!

The harsh summer rays fell upon the deep forest below as a gray hoverbike, covered in dents and dried blood, flew across the pine covered ground at dangerous speeds, its occupant twisting the handles like a mad woman possessed, her red eyes covered with dark circles and her hair now coated in dirt and trigs.

It had been a long seven weeks since her departure from Atlas, leaving behind the bloodied bodies of her runover victims and a bounty for twelve hundred lien for her head, yet this was small compared to her 'noble' goal of locating Ruby Rose.

Within those seven weeks, the hunt for information became increasingly hard for the girl, given no one outside Atlas knew about the Xiao Long/Rose Massacre or even the whereabouts of one Ruby Rose. Thus, she had to improvise.

Broken bones, bloody noses, burning flesh and shallow graves were the results of her investigation, giving those criminals she had 'captured' for the Atlasian 'crown' and allowed to live, albeit with mutilated body parts, an 'option' to help her in her search…many of which either ended in dead ends or screams.

Yet, in between the broken ribs and cries for mercy, she did get some clues about her sister, mostly consisting of strange Sabyr sightings in Anima, mostly said Grimm attacking normal animals for food instead of humans for some reason.

But it wasn't until she located and 'persuaded' a member of the infamous Spider Organization from the nearby village of Havok to give her the needed information to complete her years long obsession.

And it was a simple bit of information to boot…although it was also the strangest factoid any 'sane' person would hear in their lifetime.

Beyond the eastern borders of Wind Path, a humanoid child has been sighted running with a pack of Sabyrs, consuming the same food as the Grimm and always vanishing like a shadow when the person moved closer to the Grimm.

A human with silver eyes…only one person in Yang's memory had those eyes and still lived.

Her own sister.

ZOOOOOOOOOM!

WOOOOOSH!

'Ruby, I'm coming.' the woman thought as she drove towards a large mountain, its green pine trees dotting the rocky surface like a coat. 'I'm coming!'

(A few minutes later)

Russle.

Russle.

"Where is that cave?" the white haired woman muttered while pushing past several bushes, ignoring the fact her hair was getting messy from the nearby branches or the pinecones from above, her focus firmly placed on the path ahead of her. "The bitch told me she was just down this old dirt path."

Russle.

Russle.

As she moved deeper and deeper into the increasingly rocky train, her thoughts turned from aggression and rage to hope and happiness, for soon she will locate her sister and return her to Atlas, knowing that she would be raised there while she served her time, although all she did was search for her only family member, albeit with several deaths on her already bloody hands.

Russle.

Russle.

"Ruby, just hold on." She muttered to herself as she pushed past some bushes, revealing a large rocky clearing with a single large cave caved into the side of a small mountain, several boulders of untapped electric and ice Dust littering the ground like sand. "Is this the place?" 'I hope so because if this isn't the cave Ruby's in I'm going to burn Wind Path to the ground! And everything else around it to boot!'

Crack.

Kalack.

Kalack.

Looking towards the cave's opening, littered with the broken bones of past victims, both from humans and normal animals, the former huntress noticed something moving towards the cave's opening.

Kalack.

Kalack.

Kalack.

Kalack.

"Meow."

"Meow."

"Meow."

And lo, from the dark cave came three Sabyr cubs, each one a miniature version of the adults but possessing more cute 'traits' that made them more likable to the uninitiated or the gullible, as they jumped, rolled around and playfully nibbled on each other's ears without a care in the world.

But this didn't give the woman any happy thought, but rage…rage against the Grimm that have ruined her life and now mock her for having a 'family' of their own.

'They dare be happy when I have SUFFERED for years!? They don't DESERVE children! They are beasts! ANIMALS!' she thought with rage, her eyes turning crimson red before a figure ran out of the cave and jumped on one of the cubs, causing her eyes to widen in shock.

For on top of one of the cubs, nibbling on its left ear, was a tall semi muscular fair skinned young girl with long messy black hair that trailed down to her hips and sporting red tips at the ends, dull silver eyes, a E cup chest and small ass, long claw-like nails on her hands and feet, long fang-like canines and wearing nothing at all except for a torn and tattered red cape around her neck that was ripped into three 'tail' like trails, whose expression was a mix of happiness and animal-like playfulness.

"R….R….R….Ruby….oh…gods…" Yang muttered as her legs began to shark, her mind racing at the speed of light as she felt her heart skipping beats at irregular intervals. "Ruby….my…my baby sister…she…she's alive…."

"Meow."

"Meow."

"Meow."

"Grrr." 'Ruby' growled while the Sabyr cubs jumped on her body, playfully nipping her hands and legs as they continued to 'play' fight amongst each other.

"Ruby….Ruby….Ruby!" Yang yelled, her mind filled with thoughts of taking her home, to bring her back and re-educate her about all the things she had missed for the last few years. "Ruby!"

The cubs turned towards Yang's direction, hissing in fear as 'Ruby' turned and stood on all fours, agitation and fear entering her once calm face as she bared her teeth at the white haired woman's presence.

"Ruby!" Yang called out while moving closer to the cave, hands outstretched as she started to cry, her dreams just about to come true. "Ruby it's me! It's Yang!"

The cubs began moving behind 'Ruby' as the human growled in aggression, her eyes glowing a faint silver energy in the process.

"Grrrrrr!"

"I have come to take you home! Please, come here!" She said with a smile as she moved increasingly closer to the cave's entrance, ignoring the agitation and fear in 'Ruby's' eyes. "Let me take you away from these monsters and back to Atlas, I promise to never let you leave my sights again! Please!"

"Rarrr." The cubs hissed in fear as their ears drooped, their tails puffed and their bodies curled up into a ball-like shape, as if they could sense the hostility in the intruder's body language.

A predator to the defenseless cubs.

"Grrrrrrrr!" 'Ruby' growled in aggression as her nails dug into the dirt, looking ready to strike down the human that dares attack her 'pack'.

After all, this was her family…no one is going to ruin it, not even a delusional human.

"Come on Ruby, give me a hug! I promise I won't bite!" she called out while closing her eyes for a moment, her feet moving towards the entrance way by a single meter.

Kalack.

Kalack.

Kalack.

The sound of footsteps echoed within Yang's ears as she opened her eyes, her vision clouded by a single image.

The sight of a small fair skinned girl with short black hair sporting red tips at the ends, silver eyes, wearing a red hooded zip-up sleeveless jacket with two wide pockets, a short red cape, a white sleeveless shirt, a short black skirt and small black shoes, smiling at her with happiness as her arms were extended outwards.

"Yang! I love you!"

"Rub-"

SQUISH!

Yang's eyes darted towards the left side of her neck, blood oozing outwards, as she turned by to the smiling 'Ruby', only to see the image to become distorted by purple glitches, revealing the animalistic 'Ruby' biting down on her neck with her sharp fangs as her claws dug into her body like tiny hooks.

CRASH!

As the woman fell on her back, she tried to scream but was prevented by the blood oozed out of her lips as the feral human began to eat her alive, taking chunks of her own flesh and consuming them as the Sabyr cubs looked on in fear, huddled together in a small mass of fur and bones.

CRUNCH!

SQUISH!

CRUNCH!

Yet, as she began to feel her life fading from her body, she began to dream…of a life that would never happen.

A life where she raised her sister with love, happiness and with the occasional teasing.

'R…ub….y….' she thought before her eyes became glazed, her skin turning a deadly pale color as the screen suddenly went black, the sounds of ripped flesh emanating from the background before ending with a loud 'crunch'.

Bio: In this timeline, when Yang Xiao Long was a young child, Summer Rose decided to take her family on a road trip across the Anima continent to celebrate the girl's sixth birthday, hoping to also locate Raven Branwen and get her to meet her daughter for once. However, during the trip, Summer accidentally made a wrong turn and got the family lost in the mountains for several days before…a group of Sabyr Grimm, sensing the fear within Yang's heart, attacked and killed everyone except for the six year old, who escaped and hid in a crevasse for a week. Separated from her two year old sister, Ruby Rose, during the confusion, the girl would've died of starvation if an Atlasian Specialist, Alexandra Llinyn of the nearly formed Ace-Ops, didn't stumble upon her and brought her back to Atlas. Adopted into the Llinyn family and trained by Alexandra before attending Atlas Academy as one of its top students, the now white haired girl, the shock and trauma turning her once vibrant blonde hair into a Schnee like white that makes people mistake her as one of the Schnee line at a glance, swore on the souls of her old family to hate and kill all Grimm in existence…and to one day find her sister, at any cost. Over the coming years, Yang began to become detached from reality, becoming cold and aggressive to everyone and using lethal force during battles, seeing everything, including her reputation and career as a Huntress as nothing compared to the reunion of her long lost sister, even as James Ironwood constantly scolds and reprimands her for her total disregard for human lives, especially after an attempted murder case against one Neon Katt over the fact she was a feline faunus with a similar tail to a Sabyr. Feeling constricted by the strict rules and regulations of Atlas and its paranoid headmaster, Yang left the Kingdom of Atlas and, utilizing a stolen HVB Rhino along with several bribed or blackmailed criminals she had brutalized in the past, began hunting for any trace or evidence of Ruby Rose's existence. Soon, Yang travels to Anima and during the next few months, tracked and interrogated a Spider operative, forcing them into revealing a rumor of a human girl outside Wind Path's borders…that seems to be living with a pack of Sabyrs for the last few years. Filled with hope once more, Yang journeyed to Wind Path and, after staking out several hundred miles of wilderness, located a mountainside cave...were several Sabyr cubs playing with her sister, now feral and animalistic due to her isolation and treatment from the Grimm, who didn't kill her all those years ago due to a genetic 'bug' in their 'cells' that allowed them to ignore Salem's mental commands outright. Seeing the now teenaged sibling playing with the Grimm cubs, caused Yang to recall her own past and, in a delusional state of hope and desire, ran towards the cave with the intention to take Ruby back to Atlas, hoping to bring her memories of humanity back to the surface. However...she failed to realize that Ruby had no memory of her previous life, her sister or even the concept of humanity, causing her to retaliate against the intruder by biting her neck, instantly killing Yang in the process. And so another life is snuffed out by the brutal reality of a Huntress, kill or be killed…yet even in her last moments of life, she didn't regret anything. She found her sister…and it was special for her, a woman broken by tragedy and pain, one that could never fit into Atlasian society. Ironically, both girls, who grew up in different environments, had one thing in common…they could never get the hang of being 'civilized'.
