40. Emperor Dismissed

The sun had set over the remains of the Tokyo Settlement as Suzaku still remained at ground Zero, lamenting the events of everything up until this point.

"2010 of the Imperial Calendar. The Holy Britannian Empire invaded Japan to gain control of its underground Sakuradite resources. My father, Genbu, called for do-or-die resistance. To stop him, I…" Suzaku thought back on murdering his father. "It was childish. A tragically childish impulsive act. I thought to myself "This will stop the war." I thought that there would be no more needless bloodshed. But I was wrong. The fighting didn't stop. All I wanted was to keep people from killing each other. But now."

Suzaku clenched his fists in frustration and emotion as he looked up and saw Nina was now standing before him.

"I didn't know…" Nina said regretfully. "I didn't understand that… That would be this horrible… That so many people would… did I… That would be a…"

"Nina," Suzaku cut her off as he walked forward. "This is goodbye."

Nina was surprised by those words as Suzaku walked past her and had a new expression on his face that was filled with resolve.

"Now, there's only one thing I can do." Suzaku thought as he left.

Ikaruga

Lelouch and Logan had their masks back on and were making their way to the Hanger to board their Knightmares.

"The Emperor was headed for Area 11. But he never showed up in the Tokyo Settlement. Which means he had another objective. His path could've taken him to only two locations, Shikine Island or Kamine Island." Lelouch deduced.

"And by process of elimination, he'll likely head for Kamine Island for the thought elevator that's still there," Logan said.

"I can't just let him roam free, if we're going to move forward we need to remove him from the equation," Lelouch said.

They soon arrived at Hanger and both of them boarded their respective Knightmares. Once the Shinkiro and the Agravaine were activated, they drove forward and flew through the open hatch on the ship's landing dock. Both Knightmares were now flying through the air and heading for Kamine Island.

"This mission must remain covert so do everything you can to remain unnoticed," Lelouch said, contacting his Knightmare.

"I know that, that's why it's only the two of us going," Logan responded.

Britannian Royal Flagship

While sitting on the throne on the main deck of his ship, Charles looked at the screen that displayed before Kamine Island and the ruins within as they approached the island itself. Beside him were four priests from the Geass Order.

"According to the materials left behind by Director V.V and our brethren, this location is optimal." A priest said.

"It will synchronize with the ancient ruins throughout the world." Another priest said.

"With this action, we can make the Sword of Akasha manageable once again." A third priest said.

"I never imagined I would use such an ancient device. It's quite astounding." Charles said with amusement.

Avalon

At that very moment, Anya who was still in her Knightmare suddenly had a strange Geass reaction and the pupils around her eyes turned red.

"So, you're ready to begin, then?" Anya's tone of voice changed.

Ikaruga

It was now nighttime and C.C was walking around near an open rafter on the ship and looked concerned.

"Master still hasn't returned yet," C.C said sadly.

Suddenly the Mordred flies over to Ikaruga and lands near C.C as the cockpit opens and Anya climbs out as she approaches C.C.

"It's been ages since we were face to face like this. It's me!" Anya stood right in front of her. "C.C, don't tell me that you've actually…"

C.C can only back away early with confusion. "I'm so sorry!" She cried.

After Anya touched her, another Geass reaction activated and her consciousness ended up entering C.C's inner mind.

C.C's Inner Mind

The world of C.C's mind is the same as before, a world of endless paintings and walls. As Anya was walking around as though she had been here before, she turned at a specific corner and saw C.C sitting on a chair staring at one of the paintings.

"What are you doing?" Anya approached her. "Closing yourself up in here again like this. C.C? C.C!"

After hearing her named called, C.C finally responded and looked in her direction.

"Who are you?" C.C asked.

The C.C talking right now wasn't the one who lost her memories and acted like a helpless slave girl, it was the old C.C who was thought to have been lost after the events of the Geass Order.

"It's me. See?" Suddenly Anya's voice and appearance changed completely.

She was now a beautiful young woman who had a slim yet strong build, a tall height, and fair skin. Like Lelouch, she had big violet eyes and black hair, although she had it much longer and wavier. She wore a fashionable dress that was an elegant long light orange dress.

"It's you." C.C recognised her. "So you've chased me all the way in here now. Are you that worried about Lelouch, Marianne?"

The now introduced Marianne Vi Britannia—The mother of Lelouch and Nunnally smiled in response. "Oh, c'mon. Do you really think I'm such an ideal mother that that's all I think about?"

"Then why did you come here for me?" C.C asked.

"Because so much has changed. I need to know if you're still on my side." Marianne said.

"Huh?" C.C asked.

"C.C, why did you seal off your own Code?" Marianne asked. "Just when you have what you wanted. Charles was ready to grant your greatest wish, the wish to die. But you stopped him."

"Even I don't know why I did it. Actually, I'm a little shocked, but I did." C.C admitted.

"Then you have to find the answer in the real world. I've made up my mind and that's all there is to it." Marianne said with a laugh.

"How typical of you," C.C commented.

"Why is that?" Marianne asked.

"The one who always comes in and messes around with my life," C.C said.

"Because I appreciate what you did," Marianne said.

Ikaruga

Back in the outside world, C.C ad Marianne were continuing their conversation as C.C was now fully back to her old self and Marianne was still possessing Anya.

"At least as far as giving me my Geass power." Marianne continued.

"And you never fulfilled your contract." C.C reminded her.

"If that's what you think, will you come with me now?" Marianne suggested.

"Yes, oh, but wait a minute. There's something I can't leave behind." C.C told her.

Ashford Academy

"Oh, really? That's very good news. Excellent." Lelouch said pleased.

Right now he was talking on the phone with Rivalz who had finally reached him. Lelouch called up Logan's phone as well so all three of them could share this conversation. Rivalz was outside the school building while survivors were still all over the campus.

"Yeah. They finally got the cell phones working again and we've got the news that everyone is okay." Rivalz explained. "It was a gigasmic relief. Oh, yeah, Lelouch's room was destroyed but there's space in the clubhouse. And Logan's room is still okay if you don't mind."

"That's one up said at least," Logan said.

"Is the student council room all right?" Lelouch asked.

"Mm. By the way, where's Rolo? Is he with you guys?" Rivalz asked.

"Don't worry, he's not with us right now but he's somewhere safe, I'll be meeting up with him later," Logan assured him.

"That's good to know, I'll tell the prez," Rivalz replied.

Lelouch then had a sombre expression before he said. "…Listen, Rivalz. Can you tell the prez something for me? Tell her, I won't be able to keep my promise to shoot off fireworks with everyone."

After saying those words, Lelouch hung up and Rivalz became confused.

"Huh? What was that supposed to mean?" Rivalz wondered.

Cockpit Of The Shinkiro

After Lelouch hung up, Logan contacted him.

"You sure that's what you wanted to say?" Logan asked.

"I had to, regardless of the outcome, there's a good chance I'll never go back to Ashford." Lelouch believed.

"So you've resolved yourself?" Logan asked.

"Yes, I have to kill him even if I die doing it!" Lelouch declared.

"And I have to make sure you don't die." Logan reminded him. "Like always."

"You're the only one I can count on. I'm gambling that I can kill an immortal who never ages and who's immune to the power of Geass." Lelouch decided. "This is the only chance I have left!"

"I agree, but we've overcome every other gamble we've faced up until now." Logan reminded him. "So, let's bet the odds again."

"Yes, let's." Lelouch smiled.

Britannian Royal Flagship

Back on Charles' ship, the monitor showed the location of all the Geass ruins around the world.

"Preparations are complete, Your Majesty." A priest said.

"Very well. Let us begin." Charles ordered.

At his command, all the ruins around the world started to synchronize. At different parts of the world, large Geass marks started to glow in different locations, in cities, in the countryside, beneath glaciers. Thought elevators were activating everywhere.

"All relic systems are now synchronized." A priest reported.

"With this shall end the world of the existing God. Destruction and creation… Ragnarok has finally begun." Charles declared with an evil smirk.

At that point, Monica appeared on the screen to give a report. "Your Majesty, Prince Schneizel sent a report on the conflicting…"

Charles cut her off. "Did I not tell you to leave these mundane affairs to him?"

"Mundane affairs?" Monica repeated, surprised at his lack of her.

Charles then pushed a button to remove her from the screen and had a smug expression. "Has the truth finally begun to dawn on you, Schneizel? If so, it's too late. This game called war is already obsolete."

Ikaruga Private Lounge

All the core members of the Black Knights were now together and in the middle of a meeting. All the members who weren't present during the meeting with Schneizel are now also present and had just been informed of everything.

"Is this really the right move?" Kallen asked.

"Zero ordered us all to remain here until he returns," Todoh said.

"Besides, in our current state we'd be unable to lend any aid," Diethard added. "We have to just leave it to them."

"But going by themselves to take out the Britannian Emperor?" Minami pointed out.

"He'll be bond to have guards and Knights of the Round with him, won't it be too much for just the two of them?" Sugiyama added.

"This'll be a covert mission, it won't matter how many people there are if none of them sees them." Lyra pointed out.

"Besides, you're forgetting they have an advantage called Geass." R.R reminded them.

"Yeah that's right, as long as Zero has that crazy Geass power, he can turn all those guards over to their side," Tamaki added without worry.

"But I'd still feel more confident if we were there with them," Kallen said still worried. "Rolo, shouldn't you have gone too? You're Geass if the best and covert missions and you're the captain of Soul's elite guard."

"They already had a plan when they left, if I went with them they'd have to rethink their strategy and that could take too long," R.R replied. "They only have one chance at this and they can't afford to waste a moment."

"But still…" Kallen still sounded upset.

"Kallen," Euphie spoke out. "I understand that you're concerned, we all our. But, this was something they chose to do because they felt it was something only they could, so let's believe in them, isn't believing in our leaders the natural thing to do?"

Euphie's words were to calm Kallen's nerves slightly and she nodded.

"Aside from that, we also have a job to do," Diethard said. "Lady Kaguya and the others will be arriving soon. We'll have to inform them of the truths we learned as well."

Everyone agreed to that.

Zero's Private Quarters

The door to the room opened and C.C walked in to find and surprised Shirley.

"C.C, there you are?" Shirley went up to her relieved. "I was looking for you, you can't just leave the room and wander off like that."

C.C seemed slightly amused at Shirley's concern for her but simply walked past her.

"Relax, I only came back to get something," C.C said.

Shirley was taken aback at the way C.C talked as it was completely different from the last time she spoke to her.

"C.C? You're…" Shirley said shocked.

"Back to normal?" C.C finished her sentence. "Yes."

"But how, I thought you had amnesia?" Shirley asked.

"I'll explain later, for now, there's something I need to take care of," C.C said before she picked up her Cheese-kun plushie and headed for the door.

"Wait, where are you going?" Shirley asked, still confused by all this.

"Don't worry, I'm just stepping out for a bit," C.C said before opening the door. "Also, thanks for looking after me until now, if nothing else, I appreciate it." She told her before leaving.

Britannian Ship

Inside a Britannian ship filled with soldiers that were part of a fleet near Charles ship, Lelouch and Logan had snuck in and entered the control room where three soldiers were now under Lelouch's control and holding back three others so that Lelouch could use his Geass of them.

"Lelouch Vi Britannia now commands you. From this moment forward, you shall obey my orders!" Lelouch commands.

With his Geass activated, the three of them and placed under his control and the other three let go of them as they are now all under his control.

"Yes, your highness." They all say in unison.

"Is that enough?" Logan asked.

"Not yet. We'll need a few more before we can begin." Lelouch said.

Avalon

In the recreation room, Lloyd was throwing darts while Gino was having a pool match with Cecile, a match he was losing very badly. Cecile was hitting the solids in every hole with ease. Gino could only look on in amazement as the blue-haired scientist was hitting every solid ball with such accuracy.

"Damn, she's good," Gino said in a low tone, impressed.

Before long, Schneizel, Cornelia, Kanon and Darlton walked into the room. The two scientists and the Knight of the Round turned their attention to them.

"Your Highness?" Gino greeted with respect.

"It's all right. You can relax." Schneizel said.

"Princess Cornelia, it's been far too long, Your Highness." Lloyd greeted, thrilled to see her again.

"Right," Cornelia replied. "Where is Lord Guilford?"

"Well…" Cecile was having a hard time actually telling the Princess about her Knight.

Schneizel cuts in looking back at his half-sister. "Cornelia, I'm afraid Lord Guilford went missing before the Battle for Tokyo."

"We may not know if he's alive or dead so we're unable to confirm anything," Kanon added.

"Guilford?" Cornelia mentioned her Knight in surprise.

"Didn't you set out a search party?" Darlton asked.

"Given the timing of his disappearance we couldn't," Schneizel said.

Suddenly, the door opened and Claudio rushed in, he then bowed respectfully to Cornelia as well as Darlton.

"Princess Cornelia, General Darlton, I am relieved to see you both have returned safe and well." He greeted them.

"Claudio." Darlton greeted him back before facing him. "Where are the other Glaston Knights?"

Claudio hesitated before answering. "Forgive me sir, but I'm afraid they were all killed in action, I am the only survivor."

"I see…" Darlton looked down, mournfully thinking of the loss of not only his subordinates but his adopted sons as well.

"Not to change the subject, but where is Sir Kururugi?" Schneizel asked.

"Sadly, Suzaku has disappeared as well," Lloyd said, throwing another dart.

"After the F.L.E.I.J.A. warhead was fired he just kept to himself," Gino explained. "A few hours ago we got a report that he vanished."

"So, he's gone AWOL?" Schneizel said. "That's certainly a shame."

"Indeed, and just when finished the Lancelot Albion." Lloyd lamented.

"Oh, so it's been completed?" Schneizel asked intrigued.

"It's ready to roll out," Cecile answered in a low tone.

"Albion? What's that about?" Gino asked.

"Oh, I shouldn't have mentioned that. It's a custom Knightmare built for Suzaku. It's on the same level as the modified Guren but without the proper pilot it can't be flown."

"But where could Suaku have gone?" Gion wondered.

"How knows, my guess is he's doing something reckless again." Lloyd guessed.

U.F.N Jet

A private jet holding Kaguya, Tianzi, Xingke and his people were on route to the Ikaruga after being called to return by Zero.

"Now then, Your Majesty, as he previously arranged, we'll be boarding the Ikaruga to conduct negotiations with the Black Knights in Tokyo.

"But Kaguya, do you actually know what we're going to be talking about?"

"I'm afraid I don't," Kaguya admitted. "But we were told that this matter is of the utmost importance and if Master Zero says that there is something that we must absolutely need to hear, then what other option is there but to go." She declared without any doubt.

Kamine Island

Suzaku had just cut down the last Geass Order member, leaving only Charles left standing as Suzaku confronted him with sword in hand.

"Was this treason Schneizel's idea?" Charles asked, unfazed by what had just transpired.

"It was my decision," Suaku confessed. "Majesty, this is not treason, the truth is I never had any loyalty to you. I served as your Knight for so long for only two reasons."

"Oh?" Charles muttered, slightly amused by his would-be assassin's confession.

"First, I wanted to protect Nunnally from your clutches. I knew she would never be safe from you, you might have even used the power of Geass on her like you did with Lelouch." Suzaku stated as he sets himself and his sword in a middle stance.

"Is it wrong to silence a terrorist?" Charles asked.

"The second reason was so that I would always be nearby and know what you were planning. In case you tried to target Euphie again. You could've saved Euphie. It would've been so easy. But instead, you abandoned her you not only abandon her, but you also endangered her."

"So what?" Charles replied with indifference.

Suzaku was shocked by his response. Now seeing how Lelouch could hate this man as much as he did, Suaku raised his sword with hatred. "You also drove Lelouch and Nunnally away when they were children. Their despair is in this sword. Die!"

Just as Suaku was about to strike the Emperor's skull, his sword was stopped by a large black and gold sword wielded by none other than the Knight of One, Bismarck Waldstein.

"Lord Waldstein! What are you doing here?" Suzaku asked surprised.

"Did you think you're the one who knew about Geass? It takes many forms. Who could be foolish enough to relax his guard with a man who constantly betrays everyone who trusts him?" Bismarck stated while mocking Suzaku.

Suzaku was angry at himself for not thinking that Charles wouldn't have at least one person to always guard him. It was a costly oversight.

"Bismarck, I leave this mundane matter to you," Charles said as he turned around and headed into the cave.

"Yes, Your Majesty. So be it." Bismarck obeyed.

"Hold on!" Suaku called out but it was to no avail.

Bismarck grinned as his sewed left eye started to give off a faint crimson red glow and he pushed Suzaku back with his sword. The clashing of swords went on as Charles made his way further into the cave.

Ikaruga

The UFN private jet had arrived near the Ikaruga and Hong Gu set up a transmission to the main control room.

"Ohgi, this is Hong Gu. Requesting landing clearance. We brought Her Majesty and Lady Kaguya with us." Hong Gu stated.

"Uh Right," Ohgi responded. "Then we'll wait for you in the conference room so that we can begin."

The core members of the Black Knights, along with Kallen, Euphie, R.R, Lyra and Villetta were all gathered in the main control room as well.

Kamine Island

Back on Kamine Island, Suzaku was getting pushed back as his eyes started to glow red.

"No! The Geass command that compels me to live. It's screaming at me to run away! Is the Knight of One really that dangerous an opponent?" Bismarck was walking slowly to Suzaku and Suzaku charged at him again. "Even so, I've already resolved myself!"

"Resolve?" Bismarck remarked. "Fool! What you call resolve…" Bismarck parried Suzaku's sword away and that caused him to be sent flying into the ground. "That is nothing more than self-gratification. All that you are trying to accomplish here are actions to placate your own feelings. His majesty is on his way to accomplishing an act that will greatly serve to better this world and I am sworn to eliminate anyone who stands in the way of that." Bismarck was already close and ready to deal the finishing blow. "Which means… you will die here, Suzaku Kururugi."

Before he could end it though, a small black ball was thrown and landed near the two Knight which caught their attention. Just then, it exploded, creating a large cloud of coloured smoke that blinded them. With that chance created, Suaku's arm was grabbed by someone who lifted him to his feet and ran off, dragging him by the arm to get away as they fled.

As the smoke cloud cleared after a few moments, Bismarck looked around to see that Suaku was now nowhere to be seen.

"He escaped." Bismarck cursed.

Further away from the cave, Suzaku now had become aware of what had just happened and asked. "What's going on? What are you doing?"

"Isn't it obvious?" He turned to face him, revealing himself to be Logan in his Soul outfit, minus his mask. "I'm saving you."

"Logan?" Suzaku's eyes widened as they stopped running. "Why are you here?"

"From the looks of thins, the same reason you're here," Logan said.

Just then, another, much louder and larger explosion detonates in the distance and they both look to see Lelouch in his Zero outfit, minus his mask, walking out from the explosion with a line of enemy Sutherland Knightmares beside him.

"My name is Lelouch Vi Britannia!" Lelouch loudly declared. "I am the eldest son of Empress Marianne, the prince who was abandoned by his empire!"

As he walked past, all the Knightmares lined up at both sides as if to create a path for him and they all held up their Jousting Lances as if to demonstrate their loyalty. Suzaku was surprised to see this while Logan smirked.

"Showoff." Logan jokingly commented. "So much for a covert operation."

"Covert operation?" Suzaku repeated, still surprised. "What do you mean."

"I guess I should explain. Follow me, I'll tell you as we go." Logan walked off with Suzaku behind him.

In the sky above the island, a few Britannia soldiers inside Knightmares were hovering near Charles flagship.

"We can't contact His Majesty." Said one of the Britannian officers over the intercom. "If you encounter anyone suspicious, don't capture them, kill them."

"Yes, My Lord." Another responded.

As soon as the intercom ended, shots were fired from A Gun-Turret from the ship at one of the Knightmares.

"What are you doing? Why are you shooting…AARGH!" The officer was shot down and he along with his Knightmare exploded.

Britannian Royal Flagship

"Why are we attacking on our own forces?" Monica asked, panicking.

"We're still confirming but we can't contact Gun Turret Room Three," A second officer responded.

"Someone may have seized the weapons system," A third officer said.

Gun Turret Room Three

"Respond Turret Room Three, if you do not respond, we will remove you by force." An officer said over the intercom but the Geassed soldier simply ignored the order and monitored Lelouch as he made his way to the ruins.

Sky Above The Island

Several Knightmares of the Royal Guard have appeared to lend their assistance.

"Follow us, the Royal Guard, we'll eliminate all enemies," Announced the leader.

"Yes, my lord," Responded one of the Royal Guardsmen.

As soon, that conversation ended, a Sutherland attacked the Royal Guard.

Britannian Royal Flagship

The Knight of Twelve couldn't understand what's going on anymore. "This can't be…have they…?"

"The reinforcements of the Shikine Island base are attacking us," Said one of the operatives, over the intercom.

"We're getting reports of our own guards turning on us as well," Another operative added over the intercom as Monica was watching on the screen of their forces being destroyed one by one.

Monica began to realize. "This is…"

Kamine Island

"A damned rebellion?!" Bismarck said over his communicator.

"Yes my lord," An operative responded, "Where's the Emperor?"

"His majesty is in the safest, possible place," Bismarck answered. "For now, who is in command aboard the Great Britannia?"

"Lady Monica Krushevsky, the honourable Knight of Twelve." The operative answered.

"Very well. In that case, I'm taking the Galahad." Bismarck said.

Avalon

Meanwhile, back on the Avalon, Schneizel, Kanon and Cornelia had just received an important message of intelligence.

"You still can't contact the Mordred?" Kanon asked one of their subordinates.

"No, My Lord." The subordinate responded. "Although I think she's headed for Kamine Island."

"I see. That means she must have just received the intelligence and is all her way to His Majesty." Schneizel figured.

There was a bit of silence in the room as Schneizel thought to himself. He then stood. "Change our course. We need to go to Kamine Island at once."

Ikaruga Conference Room

Diethard, Ohgi, Kallen, Todoh, Euphie, Orpheus and R.R were meeting with Kaguya, Tianzi and Xingke to tell them all the truths they learned.

"I see. So that's the truth about master Zero, along with master Soul." Kaguya said quietly.

"You believe us just like that?" Kallen asked.

"I don't believe you would have us come here just to tell us a lie and even if you did you would have made it a more believable one, so this Geass power and the truth about their identities must be true."

"I agree, Lady Kaguya," Xingke said.

"That's good, now we can move forward with complete trust," Euphie said.

"Then let me ask, if the two of them have gone off to Kamine Island, why are all of you still here?" Kaguya asked.

"We were ordered to remain here, so all we can do is wait for their return," Todoh answered.

"Surely you can't be serious?" Kaguya argued. "Facing the Britannaian Emperor is asking for too much of the two of them alone."

"Is it not too late to follow after them?" Xingke asked.

"Even if we wanted to, we just got intelligence that the Avalon is heading for Kamine Island as well, considering how our meeting with them ended if we meet now we could be in for a war of attrition," Orpheus explained.

"So we can only wait?" Kaguya said concerned.

Kallen still seemed upset by that fact as well. "Lelouch, Logan."

Kamine Island

Back on Kamine Island, Lelouch continued walking through the path made for him by the Knightmare pilots under the control of his Geass.

"If anyone wishes to stop me, let them try. If there's anyone who can go beyond my despair." Lelouch declared as he made his way into the cave.

Meanwhile, in the sky, The Galahad, the personal Knightmare of the Knight of One, Bismarck Waldstein, rose in the air and Bismarck was watching the battle going on.

"Our own forces turning on this. I can't tell friend from foe and I can't just destroy them all." Bismarck said to himself.

Suddenly, Bismarck was attacked by Miniature Proximity Missiles shot by the Mordred. Bismarck countered with a sword hit to one of the shoulders.

"Anya. Surely you aren't part of this, too." Bismarck questioned with disbelief.

"So the Knight of One is behind this traitorous coup d'etat?" Anya countered.

"What's that?" Bismarck asked.

C's World, The Sword Of Akasha

Charles had just arrived in the Sword of Akasha on top of the stairs of the shrine and was laughing victoriously.

Kamine Island

Anya fired her Stark Hadron Cannon and Bismarck dodged the blast.

"Don't jump to conclusions!" Bismarck berated loudly.

"How can I trust you!" Anya countered and turned the Mordred, only to have Bismarck land a sword strike on it.

"The enemy is from Shikine island. Monica can testify to it." Bismarck explained.

Anya looked over to Lelouch who made his way to the entrance. "I understand now. Forgive me, Lord Bismarck."

"All I ask of you is your recognition. How damaged is your Knightmare?" Bismarck asked.

"My air combat mobility is dropped." Anya responded as her Knightmare was gradually descending. "but perhaps I can intercept rebel forces on the ground."

"Understood," Bismarck replied. "I'll defend the royal flagship."

As the Mordred landed as drove on the ground, C.C smiled at Anya as she hid behind the pilot's seat in the cockpit.

"You're quite the actress, aren't you?" C.C complimented while hugging her Cheese-kun plushy.

"We don't have time to explain things to Bismarck right now," Anya replied. "Since I questioned his royalty, he didn't question mine."

"Putting a moment to fence it. That's just the sort of flash I'd expect from Marianne the Flash. And it's just perfect for Lelouch's mother." C.C commented.

"So what comes next?"

"Hm?"

"Well, we have to see them, don't we?"

"Hmm."

C's World, The Sword Of Akasha

The two pillars began to rise.

Charles held up his hand with the code on his palm and it shined. "God, hear me now! The time has come to settle this!"

"You're wrong. You lift your voice to call upon God!" A voice called out. "But it's not God you need to settle things with, Charles Zi Britannia!"

Charles turns around and sees Lelouch walking forward to confront him.

"It's me, your son!"

And that's the chapter.

This chapter didn't have that much of a difference from the canon but the overall point is settling things with Charles so there weren't that many changes necessary. I didn't change a few things though.

For one thing, Suzku's reason for being here. Rather than losing his mind and wanting to kill Charles for gaining power, he left Schneizel and Britannia behind and is here to kill him believes it'll end things right there and to cure his guilt of being unable to save Nunnally or Tokyo. It's reckless and impulsive which is exactly why he would do it.

Also, now Kaguya, Xingke and the rest know the truth as well, but none of them will be heading for Kamine Island. This is something the others will be handling themselves. Next chapter, all matters with Charles will be settled.
