Family of Two.
Chapter 606: An elderly Loud.

(August 17. Camp Mastodon.)

Another fun and summer time, and everyone is thrilled that this camp is not closing and that the new camp counselors will here soon as summer vacation will end, and that would mean Mr. Rinsler can be able to retire, knowing that camp Mastodon is in good hands, and he is also happy about the treasure they found.

The discovery of Captain Kits treasure has raised a lot of money for the camp to keep going, and also made those who went to find it now famous, as if they were famous enough with the whole loud family split up ordeal, now they are well known as the still sticking together siblings who discovered a long lost treasure from a great captain from Michigan.

Now, all of them are having some summer fun at the camp once more. The twins are making a sand castle, Lisa and Darcy along with Luan are water skiing, and maneuvering the boat is Rick Rosato. Jordan is with Leslie and Delilah and the trio are talking about what they can do when school begins, but then Leslie passes out and enjoys this peace and quiet.

The peace and quiet is interrupted when Lori and Leni go zip lining and a cannon ball, and one man walks out from his boat which is anchored not too far from camp, his name is Leonard Loud.

Leonard Loud.
He apparently used to favor Lynn Sr.'s brother over him. Despite this, he's very caring towards Lynn Sr. and his grandchildren, and like his son, he gets very emotional easily.

Leonard is the spitting image of Lynn Sr., except with gray hair and a prominent, bushy beard. He wears an orange parka, brown pants, and light blue sneakers.

The old man looks around and he smiles when he sees everyone is having fun and spending time with each other, but then he sees two familiar souls, the souls who bear the last name and are the ones who gave the last name to three others who are now part of the family. Lincoln Loud and his mother/former sister, Luna Loud.

Leonard recalls about what had happened that made them into where they are now, and he feels bad that Lincoln had to endure the whole bad luck thing, and deep down he knows why Lynn Sr fell into such stupidity of belief, and he feels like this is also his fault.

'Come on, Leonard. You have to tell them, and also make sure that they understand the real truth on how Lynnie became who he is, and not really the guy who would be responsible and just... Dang it, I should've been there, I should've stopped my son and his wife, and made sure that they stayed on track and remembered what was important.'

Leonard then takes his row boat and he makes it all the way to where Lincoln and Luna are, and they are both in their bathing suits and sitting on a log, and letting their feet touch the water, and watching as Sam and her little brother Simon are playing in the water and having some fun, and also get startled when Lucy and Maggie gloat right by them, freaky.

"This sure is nice, I mean we earned this after that treasure hunt we did the other day" replied Luna, and she pulls her son close to her. "This sure has been a pretty eventful summer, and things are turning from fun to super awesome fun!"

Lincoln chuckles hear4ing this. "Yeah, I mean we made the biggest discovery in all of Michigan, and by the time we get home, chances we'll be the talk of the town again." Lincoln then sees someone come over to them. "Hey Gramps." Luna also notices the elderly loud on the row boat.

"Hey, gramps. What's happening?" asked Luna.

Leonard makes it and he sits next to Luna and Lincoln. "Oh, the usual for my boat and I am so happy to be back here, and all it took was long and very hard travel from the Bearing Sea and then to Michigan. Feels good to be back where the camping spirit was made and founded, and glad that the place is not gonna be shutdown. Folks deserve to enjoy the summer camping times here, this place is great!"

Lincoln nods. "Sure is, and I can tell that there is something else o your mind." Even Lun seems to know, and so Leonard speaks.

"Dang, you two have changed and become a little bit wiser, I am impressed. But yeah, there is another reason fr me to come here to talk to you guys, and I just want to say how sorry I am for what had happened with Lincoln and the whole bad luck thing, I should've been there."

Lincoln and Luna are confused, and then Luna speaks. "Gramps, what the heck are you talking about?"

Lincoln speaks next. "Yeah, you had nothing to do with all of it..."

"Oh, but that might be all my fault" replied Leonard. "As you should know, Lynnie had two siblings. His brother, who is your uncle and of course there is your Aunt Shirley, now he was always wanting to spend time with me, but I never had enough time to hang out with my youngest son, because we didn't have that much in common for whenever we were back home."

"He would wanna go and cook and bake and stuff, but I am only good at cooking fish in so many ways. He would wanna have me watch his fave show, something about a temple, but I would rather watch a documentary on fishing and other stuff involved with fishing. The moments when Lynnie would wanna spend time with me, I was too busy with his other siblings, almost like..."

"You were playing favorites?" asked Lincoln.

Leonard sighs. "Yeah, that. If I had spent more time with Lynnie sooner, then I would've given him some new and very hard lessons, and involves reality and that dreams aren't always the one thing to keep you up and looking forward to what you can reel in for the future, but a reason to see through things and find some way out of them and be responsible and Lynnie wasn't after he went to the school in Great Britain, also his accent is very annoying."

"I never was there to teach him the most important things, but instead he clung to the dreams he had of one day opening his own restaurant and then serving food to his family which he said that he dreams of having so many kids, and that part scared me to heck, buy when it comes to dealing with a lot of kids, there is the consequences of keeping them in line and not letting them stray away from the school or else they might be troublesome, and that's how it all goes down, and it started with me and my lack of parenting to my youngest, Lynnard."

Leonard looks towards Luna and Lincoln. "You two keeping the loud last name, is understandable. A way to keep it going and not ruin the good family name, a dang shame that Lynnie was removed from the whole thing, and I doubt I could've stopped everything, but I wasn't there and news reaches to me late. I got the news about the whole court and bad luck thing two months after the whole thing that started."

They can tell that Leonard feels bad about what had happened, and then Lincoln speaks. "Gramps, calm down. Look, we cannot what they have done to me, and how it could've turned into something bad, but we can try and take it step by step and there is legit no way for them to be louds again due to my mom, we have never ever forgotten about the torture that I had to endure, and I don't know if you would understand."

Leonard nods, he recalls the newspaper said all about the horrible stuff that Lincoln had to endure if he wanted to live, and all of this darkened moments was caused when h was accused of luck, treated badly and made into nothing more than some good luck charm.

Luna then speaks. "We won't hold all of this against you, we don't feel disappointed in you because you tried your hardest and showed how much of a caring and strong and brave dad you were to your youngest son, Lynnard and the rest of his siblings. Lynna just got caught in what he believed in and wanted the dream to come true. You are not a terrible father, dude."

Leonard is kinda surprised to hear this from Lincoln and Luna and it does sound like that he still means well to them, he is still a Loud and he has Lincoln and Luna, and the others who became adopted into the Loud Last Name. Then he sighs. "Thanks, kids. Things are changing and for the better, and I can't wait to ask if I can be a camp counselor here soon."

This catches Lincoln and Luna off guard. "Wait, what?" But as they talk about what Leonard meant, Lisa thought she saw something large glide by, and this has her wondering something.

'Something else is going on here, and I think it could have something to do with those mysterious footprints from days ago. Something is living here, and doesn't belong, but what?'

To be continued on August 19.

A/N: Glad things are now chill with Leonard, and it seems like Lincoln and Luna are fine with the former family once more, and it looks like Leonard Loud is gonna be part of the camp, which would lead to an episode we know and have seen and will soon become part of this. I hope you all enjoyed reading this new chapter guys.
