Things are ready for when the time has come to return home, but things might not be so good when they find out what is there in the Camp, and it is huge and dangerous and they need to fight back against it. This camping trip is about to get serious. Enjoy reading this new chapter everyone.

Chapter 607: A large and flying camp trouble.

(August 19. Camp Mastodon.)

Another awesome camping day here, and it is also going to be their last since the folks who came here will be returning back home soon, and right now they wanna make the most of it by spending time with everyone, as in the Louds and all the former louds all together and enjoying their time here, as if they are one big and still a happy and amazingly loud family.

The louds and former louds are at the lake and enjoying the waters, and not too far and fishing is Leonard Loud, and he is fishing alongside Richard "Rick" Rosato, and the duo are seeing who can catch the most fish, but chances both will win. Because the duo are both pulling on something, and then the large salmon lands on their boat and slaps them both on the face, resulting in a fight against the fish.

Lincoln sees this as he is in the shallow waters, and enjoying this moment, and then he looks to the sky and sees Rowlet flying around with the Hisuian Braviary named, Rosey and apparently Leslie is riding her, then Lincoln sees Jordan approach him. "Hey there, Linc. You doing alright?"

Lincoln nods. "I am, all good here. Just thinking of some way for us to spend some time before we have to go home the following day. I mean, we made a hug discovery here, we helped save the camp and Gramps is..." they see Leonard and Rick still having a Smackdown match with the giant and angry salmon. "Well, he's here to spend time with us and... Honestly, I am so confused at what they're doing. Is that thing dinner, or is this a match of the century?" Lori walks by and she snaps a picture of this.

Jordan chuckles. "Linc, spending some time with the others sounds like an awesome idea. We could do something here in camp. I mean, what is the one thing we all haven't done together since we got here? I mean, we did zip lining a lot, swimming and water skiing, and we also had a marshmallow eating contest, and Sam's dad regrets being part of it."

"We also went fishing, and explored the history of the camp and what it has been through, and even the original founder of this place, and I am surprised that it was a kid who found this place, and the fossil that gave it the name, and I am amazed that the skull of the Mastodon is here in camp too. I question if they ever bothered to find the rest of the fossilized remains."

"Hiking!" they all stop what they are doing and look towards Lincoln, and Luna was about to join them and she has some beach balls. "We can all go for a nice hike in the woods. We can take the hiking trail and spend some time together, bonding with the peace and serenity of mother nature, and see how it felt as if we are campers too."

They all like this idea, and then Luna chuckles. "My boy, he man with the plan is back and... Whoa. You dudes alright?" They all see Leonard and Rick are back, and with the dead salmon.

"All good, folks." Leonard falls flat to the ground and he has a lot of bruises.

"Yeah... We got food for every..." Rick falls flat to the ground and has a lot of bruises too.

They are all surprised to see them a heaping mess, and then they tend to them, then Lisa speaks. "Best we leave for hiking after those two recover. How did they even take down that large salmon? Also, when did Salmon turn that large?"

(Later. Somewhere in the woods.)

The group are now hiking through the woods and they have seen so many amazing and cool things, from the beautiful blooming flower garden, all the way to a large herd of deer that seem to be at peace and are calm, and they even enjoyed the amazing view of a stream that leads all the way to the lake, and the water is fresh and crystal clear too.

They brought the Hisuian Growlithe named Snowball and Rowlet with them, but Rosey the Hisuian Braviary is high above the trees and flying around, and keeping an eye on what might be coming, and they folks are now headed back to Camp since they finished their small hiking trip.

"This was an awesome idea, Lincoln" replied Luan. "Feels nice to be together and spend some time here. Brings back the good times, and not the bad ones."

"Glad we all came through with his idea, and went for it" replied Lola. "I mean, I don't like dirty things much, but this forest and all the pretty stuff is better and we got some delicious blueberries, wish there were some cherries here in the woods."

Then Gramps recalls. "Oh there are, but they are at the far side of the forest, and we're not allowed to go back there again."

Lana then asks. "Why not?" She then eats a blueberry. "Also, how do you know about that place?"

Leonard then explains. "Well, back long ago, Lynnie and I, and some other campers went to this special hiking trail. There were a lot of hiking trails around here, and we always took the special one because it led to the far side of the forest, and would also be neighboring some cherry trees, but now the place is off limits due to some wildlife activity. Bears is one of them, and as long as we steer clear of there, then they won't come to camp and bother us."

They all agree to not go there, and yet they wanna check this place out, then Luan feels something is wrong. "Guys, what the heck is that?" She sees the same tracks which they have seen days ago. "Wait, we know those right?"

Sam checks. "From camp, when we arrived. What the heck is this?" She then realizes. "Unless, we're near the..." they then hear some large thumping, and then they see past some trees, and standing at such a height and going on all fours with its wings tucked in, is a creature that doesn't belong there, a dinosaur.

Leonard is sweating and surprised. "That is one big bird thing."

Lisa is wide eyed, and she feels scared. "C-Correction... That is one of the largest pterosaur species in the D-Dinosaur kingdom... Quetzalcoatlus!"

Lori then asks. "Literally what the heck is that thing doing here? Also, I thought plant-eating dinosaurs were the ones back home!"

Quetzalcoatlus.
Quetzalcoatlus fossils were discovered in 1971 in the state of Texas, where during the Late Cretaceous Period they had lived. This airplane-sized pterosaur is one of the largest flying animals of all time. With a wingspan of around 40 feet, the Quetzalcoatlus is the size of a MIG-29 fighter jet. This featherless behemoth gets its name from Quetzalcoatl, a Mesoamerican flying serpent god.

The group are just amazed by this creature, and it looks onto them as it stalks through the woods, and then it starts to hiss and growl and this doesn't look good for them. "Guys, I think we should leave, like right now!" said Leni. Lori takes a pic of the animal, and Michelle already sent a message to their friends from FutureTech, and she hopes they can come here and stop this thing.

The Quetzalcoatlus roars and flaps its wings, and then it slowly walks towards them, but is soon picking up speed. The others need to make a run for it, but then Snowball races over and he barks at the beast, but this doesn't intimidate the Quetzalcoatlus and it tries to stab at the Hisuian Growlithe, but he dodges and then Rowlet fly in and tackles the head of this thing, but it does nothing and Rowlet sees his mistake and he tries to evade the large beak of this large flying dinosaur.

Rowlet makes some hard maneuvers and even goes under the Quetzalcoatlus, and then Snowball tackles the beast, and then uses agility to dodge the attacks from this thing, then Rowlet manages to fly behind the head of the Quetzalcoatlus and then he uses steel wing, and this irritates and nearly knocks it over, but the Quetzalcoatlus has gotten angrier.

Lincoln notices this. "Rowlet no!" He races back to stop this, but Luna and Sam go after him and the Quetzalcoatlus sees the boy and goes after him, Lincoln stumbles and falls to the ground, and the beast nearly impales him with its beak, but it hits the ground and Lincoln backs away, and so the others come back with some sticks to scare it off, and Luna readies her taser, and so does Sam.

The Quetzalcoatlus is now ticked off, and is ready to attack all of them, but then Rowlet flies back in and with a tackle and using the speed from Agility for that, and then he uses razor leaf, and then leaf storm and then steel wing and the Quetzalcoatlus stumbles a little and nearly falls, but then Rowlet glows and they all know what this means. "No way!" said Darcy.

"No way what?!" asked Leonard. "What is even going on here?! Can someone tell me what is happening?!"

The glowing stops and everyone sees that Rowlet is gone, and Lincoln knows what it is now. "D-Dartrix?!"

Dartrix.
The Blade Quill Pokémon. Grass and Flying Type.
Supremely sensitive to the presence of others, it can detect opponents standing behind it, flinging its sharp feathers to take them out. A bit of a dandy, it spends its free time preening its wings. Its preoccupation with any dirt on its plumage can leave it unable to battle. It throws sharp feathers called blade quills at enemies or prey. It seldom misses. This narcissistic Pokémon is a clean freak. If you don't groom it diligently, it will stop listening to you. Regularly basks in sunlight to gather power—presumably due to the frigid climate. Nonetheless, the edges of the blade quills set into its wings are keen as ever. Evolved from Rowlet and Evolves into Decidueye.

This surprises Lincoln and the others, and Lincoln has stars in his eyes. "Whoa. Dartrix!" The Quetzalcoatlus is confused, and tries to attack it, but Dartrix dodges and spins around the large flying dinosaur and then scratches its face, which angers the beast.

The Quetzalcoatlus then tries to take off to attack, but then Lincoln gives the command and Dartrix uses Razor Leaf and these leaves are sharp and they harm, the flying dinosaur keeping it from taking off, then Rosey patrols above the trees and then waits for the right moment, then Snowball sends some amber, and this startles the large flying dinosaur and then Dartrix tackles the Quetzalcoatlus and it nearly stumbles.

Lana then has an idea. "Everyone, grab some vines!" They all see some vines, and they can tell that these aren't poisonous and they question why it is here, and so they grab the vines and run around the Quetzalcoatlus and the beast is too distracted by Dartrix to even notice the others. Lana then yells. "Now!" They all race away from the flying dinosaur and then they pull on the vines, and the beast's legs and wings are tangled thus angering it.

But then a large squawking sound is heard, and the Quetzalcoatlus looks up and breaching through the branches of the trees is the Hisuian Braviary known as Rosey, and she lands an epic tackle combined with steel wing, and the Quetzalcoatlus is down! They all see the large flying dinosaur is knocked out, and so the twins and Lori and Leni wrap it up in the vines.

"We need to keep this thing locked down until Dr. May Turner comes to get this thing back to the other world" replied Michelle, and she got the message that they are on their way.

Lincoln then hugs Dartrix. "You evolved! This is so awesome!" Then Dartrix breaks free from the hug and he sits on Lincoln's shoulder and cleans his feathers, and this makes Lincoln chuckle. "Looks like the sleepy Rowlet in you is gone, and we have a clean freak."

Luna and Sam then go over and they embrace Lincoln, and then he hugs them back, they're glad that Dartrix came to be and saved Lincoln, and even though this was a dangerous thing, this has to be the best last day of camp ever!

Leonard then asks. "Ummmm... Can someone explain what the heck just happened?"
