Eifion has some free time to talk, but Daniel gets a lot more than what he bargained for, once he finds out what else Eifion can sense.

Eifion fumbled through the last of his documents for that evening, looking over mainly reports about students having lost recollections of their memories. Most of them reported nothing had been out of the unordinary.

They hadn't lost anything…

Nothing was wrong with their body…

They just woke up in their bed, wearing clothes from the night before and feeling refreshed. Most of them had been reported to be drunk… and they all had been women. It was strange…

They couldn't exactly launch a campaign into this… it requires them breaking up frat parties, and that's the last thing he wants to do. They're adults, free to do whatever they wanted.

Unless one of the students' reports being hurt, there's not much he can do about it. Even a little scuffle of some kind… something to dictate that what is happening, is something he absolutely, needed to stop.

It also didn't help that the cases were few and far between. Like, once a month. Maybe he should start to investigate it, just in case, it's worse than he could imagine… He sighed at the documents, really hoping that this was just a harmless prank of some kind… with no intention of having ulterior purposes… like Nen is involved.

Maybe he should ask Vastorie about this just in case. He might know what's going on.

He's pretty good at solving issues with minimal information.

As he was thinking about whether to deal with the situation or not, a knock at the door let him know he has a visitor. He placed the documents back onto his table before getting up to deal with his hair.

He can't be looking like a mess to his colleagues, or worst-case scenario… another student coming to make the same report.

He opened the door with a smile, "How-" He stopped to smile once he noticed it was Killua and Daniel standing at his door "what a pleasant surprise? How can I help you?"

"We were wondering if you had free time?"

The man nodded, stepping off to the side, "Yes, come right in. I'm not too busy. In fact… you caught me at a good time. Just, Sorry about the mess…" The man hummed as he let the boys in.

The two boys stepped inside the Deacon's office with a nod, taking a seat as the man went back behind his desk. He picked up the reports, sliding them into the draw before he went about reorganising the remainder of his desk.

Killua took note of the document strewn desk as Daniel spoke, "It's about my father."

"Vastorie…?" Eifion raised an eyebrow as he neatly packed organised his files.

Daniel offered a nod in response. It was about Vastorie, about his history with the man. Clarisa spoke highly of the man, even after finding out the truth. The same could be said about Madelyn and Scarlet too…

Nathaniel was the only one so far, who didn't speak highly about the man. But he did re-affirmed, that Vastorie was someone who could and can, lead others to a more positive thought process…

It just sucked. Even when Nathaniel was suffering… even when he should've kicked Vastorie's ass to the curb, He still loves the man.

He doesn't want his dad to suffer any longer, but talking to everyone on the list will give a complete picture. Nathaniel after that will fill in the remaining blanks… the time he met Vastorie for the first time.

The man hummed at the obvious silence, "You know you can talk to me about your feelings. I'm here for you? I might not have all the time in the world for you… but I know there's something on your mind."

"I…" Daniel sighed. It's not that he didn't want to talk about his feelings, he wants the whole picture. He wants to be able to figure out his father, and get him to come back home to Nathaniel…

There were things they needed to talk about… issues they needed to solve.

"Long story short, I wanted to know your perception of Vastorie."

"Mine…? It's a mix of good and bad, why?"

"As you're aware, his distancing himself from his family…"

"Is that soo… When I told him to say hello to his husband for me, he never said anything to me. Actually… now that I think about it, when I called Nathaniel, he didn't say anything either…"

"Nathaniel… Well, more like I wanted to do this. I… I'm on this long quest to try and understand him. Apparently, by talking to everyone on my list… I'll get a clear picture of him."

"And I'm one of the people on your list, correct?"

"Yes…"

"Do you have anything you're looking for in particular?"

"You mentioned you have a mix of good and bad opinions of him. How so…?"

"What has your father told you about me?"

Daniel rubbed his chin as he listed what he knows so far about the man, "You're the current Deacon of this school, your uncle was Xavier Griffith… and he was murdered…"

The man offered a nod, his smile faltering "By Vastorie Darkscryer…"

"You were aware?"

"Yes… he told me. I was sixteen at the time. It felt like the carpet was yanked out from underneath me. By the time he built up the courage to tell me, I already had a different perception of him. As soon as he told me, I told him how much I hated his guts…"

"Did he… follow you?"

The man shook his head, "No… he left me alone. Nathaniel was the one to change my opinion about him. He told me what he had done for me. I rebutted that it doesn't redeem him of his wrongdoings…" Shifting his attention to the table, the man offered a broken smile, "That's when Nathaniel gave me my uncle's research. He told me to do what I wanted with it…"

Holding up a hand, the man continued "I guess he thought by keeping the research close to him, his father would've assumed it died with my uncle."

"So, my dad at my age, knew those documents were important enough to save… but not your uncle's life?"

"No… What I think he was doing, was trying to build up as much material as he could. The moment he found a way out of his previous profession… he was going to release that information. He made sure there was always, something left behind…"

"I wonder if, at the time, he knew how sick and twisted Hinrick was… that's why he at an older age took down his empire."

"It's very plausible… He was the kind of Nen teacher that even though he didn't have a strict Hatsu, besides from Sage's Archive, he knew how to meld and merge multiple abilities like they were his own.

He doesn't know about Vastorie's other ability? Interesting… Killua thought. The problem was his surprise betrayed his internal thoughts.

Eifion took notice of the boy's surprise "Hmm, that's interesting… I would've thought he'd use this ability with you."

"Oh, he did…" Killua raised a hand to divert the topic, "It's just I thought about something else. Anyways, please continue…"

Daniel turned to his partner, equally worried now. His boyfriend gestured to him that he'll tell him about it later.

Eifion raised an eyebrow. He felt like the boy wasn't telling him something. But he wasn't about to press the boy on it, "Alright… With my uncle's research in my hands, I had two options. I could keep it for myself… or release it as an anonymous tip."

"You chose the latter, I assume…"

Eifion shook his head, "I kept it to myself. It was my uncles… I had the last of his existence. I never got to meet him, so I delved into his work, hoping that it'll contain some of his personality."

"And…?"

"Well… let's just say, it was well above my paycheque. I didn't understand what my uncle was trying to put forth… there was only one person I knew at the time who I thought could understand it. But like I said earlier… back then, I hated your father with a seething passion… Well, maybe not hate… I just refused to look at him."

"Did you approach him out of curiosity? Or did you eventually, manage to understand it on your own?"

The man drummed his fingers along his table, "It took weeks… but eventually, I approached your father. I asked him what my uncle was trying to research."

"Did he give you an answer?"

"Yes, dumbed down to the point even a toddler could understand. It was a hypothesis about a cure-all. A way to rid humanity from viruses… cancer… As your father quoted from my uncle… Anything that can be caused, without need, isn't something Humanity should shoulder on through to the future generations."

Daniel offered a nod at the quote. He remembered Vastorie mirroring the same quote to him "Your uncle never completed his research it from what I've heard."

"He did not… but Vastorie hinted that he did get very close to a solution. If Nen is involved, it's possible… But to mass produce something like this for generations… it'll take some serious sacrifices."

"Like…?"

"Well, if Nen is involved, Vows and Limitations would be a good starting point… but the consequences would be drastic. One that revolves around an eye for an eye concept. I'd imagine someone would have to be supplying aura to a batch of drugs that would somehow target the virus or cancer cells specifically. I'm not sure how exactly how this would work… It's not in my field of study."

"Which is…?"

"Minor in Psychology, and a major in education. The reason for so is mainly because I'm an idiot… and didn't realise how difficult Psychology would be. But… it has been helpful in certain cases. Getting in that mindset, of trying to understand where someone is coming from… how to approach them, it can make life easier to understand. However, I decided to go into education, mainly due to Vastorie's interference in my life…"

He sat up straight, smiling at the boys who had his undivided attention, "He was one, if not… the best teacher I had. He put up with my edgy, teenage years… he listened to me complain at least… 90% of the time. He did all of that, without batting an eye… or being sarcastic. Well, sarcasm in a sense of you want to do that? Ok, good luck… kind of sarcasm. He gave me pointers; helped hook me up with people who could help me achieve this…"

The man gestured to the table, "For what…? Give some students a place to call their own… to give them a chance at having a normal life, after everything they've suffered?" He shook his head, "At the drop of a hat, I would do it regardless of who they were. Sure, from time to time he'd randomly ask me to slot a student in at the most inconvenient of times… but I'd do it for him. After everything, it's the least I could do…"

Killua tilted his head slightly, a little confused at the twist, "So, Vastorie, even though he killed your uncle… He gave you all of this…" Killua gestured to the room, although, he meant the school as a whole "as his way of seeking forgiveness."

"Not just that… my uncle's research as well. He also told me, which I'll believe because the world can be corrupt… especially when it comes to Jenny. That my uncle death was because of his research. Someone painted a target on his back. Mainly, what he was trying to uncover… but one of his side requests during the assassination was to destroy his research… and he had to do it while making it look like he was stressed from overworking…"

Eifion shifted uncomfortably in his seat, "I know that all of this doesn't make up for the loss… but he's trying. He even managed to pin the murder on the person who issued my uncle's death."

"Which is…?" Killua raised an eyebrow.

"Hinrick Von Delkofer, well… an associate of his. But they were a part of that… elitist bubble. All the men and women that helped prop up that person… crumbled under the weight of his crashing estate. They didn't survive for long once that information got out. Although, it's a shame that after everyone who was involved either died or fled… the people who took over distanced themselves, some of them even trying to hide the complete truth of the man's life. His children are dead. Apparently… one of them came back from the dead… only to die once more…"

Killua shifted uncomfortable from the news, "I heard there was a daughter who may have survived… do you know what happened to her?"

The man shifted an eyebrow, "She's dead…"

Killua took the hint. Eifion knew she was still alive, so Vastorie must have told him about her existence or he met her at some point, "What else would you like to know?"

Daniel stepped into the conversation, circling his fingers together as if he was trying to rewind time, "Back up to the part you were an edgy teen. I understand that you get along with him now, but what got you from finding out the truth to learning to trust him again? Mainly, the part before you asked him?"

Eifion rubbed his chin at the question. He knows what ultimately got him to approach the boy's father… but that trust… it was earned through many trials, "Long story short… people change. I know you feel like you got jibbed with that answer… but in all honesty, I gravitated back to him…"

Smiling at the boy, he offered an answer that would hopefully satisfy the boy's curiosity, "Your father has a way of gravitating people towards him. Other people may find him to be pervy, a horn dog, sarcastic, dark… sadistic or downright terrifying, but these sides of him… they're nothing, in comparison to what he could do with the right resources. For instance, your father knows several languages, five of which are dead. One of them, only three people know it… Your dad, Ging Freecss and another man, Lafayette Xross. The 'X' in Xross is silent. But that's beside the point…"

Holding out a hand to the man's son, "That's only the tip of the iceberg: Jenny, research, espionage, weapon mastery, Nen mastery, tactician; he excels in all these areas at various degrees. He's not a man you can just challenge at the drop of a hat… you must be prepared to deal with him. Sure, he has his weaknesses… like dealing with Enhancers for example. Or those who have a wide range of Nen techniques at their disposal… but in the long run and given enough time, he can deal with any occasion. That… is what makes him good at his job. It what makes him a terrifying person to deal with."

The man shifted in his seat one final time, "The longer I was forced to think about my uncle's research, the more I realised I needed Vastorie. I couldn't pretend he doesn't exist… or what he did to my uncle never happened. I approached him, I requested his help and rather than giving me ultimatums or conditions, he said ask me anything. Which I did… he answered everything. No humour… No insults… just facts. I sat on the information for another week before I was willing to forgive him. It… it was difficult at the time. But I've never once looked back and wished I could never forgive him."

Daniel looked down at the floor. Eifion was exactly like his father, Nathaniel. Even though Vastorie has hurt them in some way, they were willing to forgive him. Eifion just took some time, and with Nathaniel… he wasn't too sure when in his life he forgave Vastorie, and why he continues to do so now.

But one thing is for certain, Vastorie can change… he just needs a slap from reality.

Daniel shifted the conversation, "Thank you for telling me this."

"Anytime… I have a question for both of you."

The boys looked at each other, a little confused. They weren't too sure what he was going to ask, but they were prepared to answer questions. They just hoped that the questions weren't too intrusive, "Sure…" Killua answered, "shoot."

"Did you happen to tell Clarisa that you are a Zoldyck?"

"Yeah… did she come to you, worried about me being here?"

"No, none of that sort. She hasn't said anything to me…"

"That was a pretty outlandish guess though. What made you assume that was the case; considering, she hadn't said anything to you?"

"As you know, this school is covered by a Nen field. I can sense people filled with bloodlust…" bringing his fingers down, he pointed at Killua, "as well as other things. Anger, anxiety, sadness, fear… l-u-s-t…" He made sure to punctuated the last one, offering a fake smile.

Killua's face burned, "Wh- What?! Why you being a-"

"Pervert? No, it's just that there's a small circle encapsulating your dormitory. It makes sure, that I know in advanced if one of the students is breaking down emotionally. Sure, I can sense it around the whole school grounds, but in that specific spot… the feelings are ramped up. I know that Clarisa is experiencing anxiety and fear, and I would've come over to check on things… but I could feel others in the room. Mainly, you two. You were both calm. Daniel did feel 'worried' at times, but more about you… just like you were worried about Daniel. However, I can't feel the reasons… I had to guess. The only thing I could think of is that you told her that you were a Zoldyck…"

"Well, I also told her that that Vastorie was an assassin too. She didn't react positively to that either."

"Of course, she sees him as an idol. Everyone at the Swordcross Institution does. Only a few of them have met his darker sides… I also know Madelyn is upset and angry. I hope you haven't said anything to her…"

"No, why? Did someone assassinate her family?"

"Verbally? Yes… Physically? No…"

"Can you tell us about it?" Daniel asked, hoping the man would say more about the topic. He could use this to help Clarisa.

"No, it's a private matter you have to speak to Madelyn about."

"Drat…"

The man chuckled, "I know… it must be frustrating. By the way, about my last punctuation, I know you're young and I should be chastising you… but, at the same time… I know you've experienced the world differently to others."

"Ah…" Killua locked up, unsure how to react. Eifion knows what they're doing behind closed doors. He just doesn't know exactly, what they have been doing.

"We'll keep that in mind…" Daniel answered honestly, hoping to have the topic dismissed entirely, "Is that all you want to say?"

"No, I know it might not look like it… but I'm a Hunter too, not a Pro by any stretch, however, I do keep my eyes on the inner workings of the association for important news… like the fact, you two have already earned your first star. I believe it was earned because of your contribution to the Chimera Ant ordeal."

Daniel looked at Killua, a little perplexed at the idea of having earned his first 'star'. In all honesty, he doesn't believe he earned his. But Killua definitely, did… He worked hard… he saved Gon, his sister… and all he did was talk to Meruem. That is not one-star worthy…

"Doubt… You don't believe you earned it?" The man asked out of curiosity. It was written on the boy's face; he was questioning the news.

"No, if I'm being honest…"

"Then work harder, until you feel like you've earned it."

Daniel chuckled, "Netero said the same thing to Gon when he got his Hunter's Licence."

Killua snorted at the idea, "He would… he got his ass handed to him by Hanzo. He wanted to earn everything with his own two hands… Unless they both agreed to a method of losing, he wouldn't give up."

"A friend of yours?"

"Best friend, actually… He's also a Hunter like us, but he no longer has access to his Nen, so he's mainly travelling the world with his partners."

As the boy offered a nod in agreement, the deacon continued "You'll have to tell me more about him at a later date. Friends tend to change our perspectives. However, what I want to say on the previous matter is… provided, you two are being consensual, and you both agree to set boundaries that neither of you is willing to overstep… don't let my words bother you."

Killua nodded feverishly, face as bright as a tomato. He wanted to get off the topic as soon as possible. He was glad Alluka wasn't here with them. But then again… he might have not brought it up if she were there.

"Now… back to Clarisa. I know you told her… I'm wondering why."

"If I was being honest, I believe Daniel trusted her. I'm not all gung-ho about telling everyone who I am. I've told a select few… but that's about it. She did act as though I told her my sister was about to rip out her brother's heart… Daniel thankfully stopped her. he made her think about the situation rationally, arguing that Alluka would never do that…"

"And did she eventually believe him?"

"Not at first…" Daniel entered the conversation with a broken smile, "I had to make her understand that that Alluka was a normal child. She just had a terrible upbringing; however, it wasn't that same as Killua's."

"I told Clarisa that Nathaniel and Vastorie were in the same boat as us because they had similar upbringings. If Vastorie can change, and she can view him as a kind man… she should extend the curtsy to me as well. I wasn't given a choice… Well, not a choice that I could walk away with a smile. My dad and mother didn't give me a chance to choose to step out of the family profession. It's either I was in… or Alluka was in… Hardly a choice when you love your sister."

"The only one…" Daniel added.

"Well, that's hardly a point when you love her too."

"Yeah, that's because she's your adorable sister. Therefore, by extension… she also now my adorable sister."

The man looked at the two kids fondly, wondering how after everything they've been through, they're able to smile, to laugh… their eyes betraying their feelings of fondness for each other, "I wanted to know something else…"

When he had the boy's attention, he asked his question, "I wanted to know what brought about your need to approach Clarisa and Madelyn? Why you told them whatever you told them."

"Madelyn found out I'm his son, so therefore, I would know why he hasn't approached her yet."

"I assume this is the deal about isolation, correct?"

"Yes…"

"So, what did you tell her."

"Unless she was willing to tell me what kind of deal, she made with him, I couldn't say anything. What she wants, contradicts what my father is asking for her to complete. He wants her to let someone in… to connect with them."

"And…? How is she going with that?"

Killua interjected himself into the conversation, "We believe she's already doing it. A small part of her has let Clarisa in, but when we pointed it out-"

"That would explain why she was angry, frustrated… confused."

"Do you think we confused her, by stating that she has allowed Clarisa inside?"

"It's possible, but I more intrigued by what she'll do with this information. If she opens herself up into accepting Clarisa as a part of her life… will she still go through with her plan of isolation, or slowly open herself up for others too." The man pressed his fist to his chin, "it's going to be an interesting next year…"

He pulled his hand away to look at the boys before him, "What about you two? Now that you asked me what you wanted… will you stay for next year or go about your way to approach the others on your list?"

"We can't leave right now…"

"Oh, is that because you like it here?"

The two looked at each other concerned about his words.

"What… did I say something weird?"

"You remember why we came here right?"

"To learn about your father, right? Was there another reason…?"

Daniel now looked at his partner in concern; the man honestly had no idea who they were hinting at. He had forgotten, which means… Victor has already come to this school looking for them.

Killua spoke for his partner, highlighting the fear etched in the boy's heart "Does the name Victor Tempest mean anything to you?"

"No, should I be worried about him?" When he saw the boy's faces morph into fear, his tune changed, "Who exactly is he? Should I be worried about him? You should know, I work myself to the bone to make sure not only are the students, but the faculty members are safe while on these premises. I can guarantee, you are safe here; even in the place where Nen can be used…"

Daniel offered a nod, "We know… you told us that when we first mentioned the man…"

"I…" The man quickly recalled his memories, "I guess I did… why though?" As the man hummed over the thoughts, Killua discussed the danger with his partner, privately whispering to each other "I think we need to talk about this now. If Victor has come here, he might already be in the school, mingling without any of us noticing him."

"Why hasn't he attacked yet," Daniel interjected, concerned about the change in their circumstances "he must have had hundreds of times by now to kill us."

"He could be observing us, watching our daily moves to see if we react to his presence…" Killua frowned slightly, even if the man is watching them, he wouldn't just go in for the kill. He had to be methodical about it, even if his Hatsu wipes everyone's memories, he'll be leaving a huge trace of himself behind on the camera.

Cameras don't have memories… they shouldn't have, unless he included that in his conditions "Even he's observing us, he might have not found the right moment."

"Scarlet's ability made it clear, he already knows we exorcised his aura. That he's coming for us… he would've attacked us already." Daniel countered, frowning that even though Killua was right, even if the man is observing them, they were still in danger.

He'd react if he were to see Victor, which means, game over for him "We have to think about our next step…"

"He made it clear, that he wants Ercole to suffer… Not you…" Killua rebutted Daniel's words, "So, as long as we pretend, he doesn't exist, you're in no danger."

"But-"

Killua held up a finger, "Yes, I know you're not good at hiding your facial expressions. But even so, one can't attack without oozing bloodlust. The moment he attacks, Eifion would react to his presence. So, it wouldn't make sense for him to attack us, while we're on these grounds."

"I…" Daniel let out a huff of annoyance; Killua was right, even if he was on these grounds, he can't attack using his Nen… but then how could the man wipe Eifion's memories of him without using his Nen ability? He must have met the conditions somehow…

Was it by eye contact… or presence? The moment he left the deacon's sight, had he forgotten all about their encounter. There were so many questions they couldn't answer.

Killua rebuffed his thoughts on the matter, "I know you're worried, but leave it to me… I'll find a way to deal with the issue."

Daniel closed his eyes. Even if he was worried, he'd trust Killua no matter what in the end "I… I will trust you. I just feel…" The boy looked down, "that the moment he sees me. He'll kill me… no matter who was collateral."

Killua pressed his palm against his boyfriend's shoulder, "I promise it won't come to that…" Turning his head slightly, he looked to the deacon who was still deep in thought, "Eifion?"

The man perked his head up, now looking at the boys.

Killua addressed their biggest concerns first, "No one except for teachers can use Nen here, correct?"

"Yes, why?"

"Has any new teachers been walking around recently?"

"Over the last few months?"

"None at all."

"Is there been anyone, or has been someone, that oozes bloodlust?"

"On these grounds? No…"

The boys turned to each other, Killua now speaking loudly, "We shouldn't have anything to worry about then. He might have not found us yet… these are massive grounds."

"That still doesn't explain why Eifion has forgotten about him, even though he wouldn't have been able to use his Nen while on these grounds."

"Yes… But Vow and Limitations would. Certain conditions must be met, right? So, even if he couldn't use it then and there… after he was gone from the school grounds, it would've activated. We have some facts to back up that claim… after Zaikaria lifted her memory trapping ability, you instantly remembered about him. Her ability may have clashed with his conditions…"

When Daniel was about to interject, Killua cut him off, "No. Think about it… You remembered what he looks like, his name… everything you knew about the man so far. I think two or more conditions have to be met. First, you have to have direct contact with him. Second, at some point, you have to fall asleep… Otherwise, his other ability wouldn't make sense… he invaded your dreams, remember… he gave you nightmares… that was how he attacked you."

Daniel bit his lip, Killua was right… Even if Victor can't use Nen… he has to have these conditions met. So the next time they meet, the conditions will be met once more. But… didn't he meet the man at the café that one time? He didn't remember falling asleep then "Is falling asleep a condition though?"

Killua raised an eyebrow, "What you mean…?"

"At the café, I met him briefly. I didn't know his name back then… but I never fell asleep."

"You did space out though… He may have briefly knocked you out, like a miniature nap… You blinked and he was gone."

"I guess…"

"Most of these are hypothesis. If we can counter his conditions like Zaikaria's ability does, we'll win."

"But…" Daniel thought long and hard about the situation, "Didn't Vastorie mention he was relentless?"

"Yes… but we're fighting for the long run. We've beaten him once, we can do it again… trust me… I won't let him hurt you again."

"I do… I'm just worried. Where is he now?"

Eifion typed away on his computer, now scrolling through his footage for every person that came through. If Victor has passed through the school, surely, he would've dealt with the man if he was considered that dangerous.

From the way, the boys are talking about the issue, not only have they mentioned it to him… he had completely forgotten about their entire conversation about the man, why? He needed to know why "Why have I forgotten about him?"

"It's his Hatsu…" Killua answered, now frowning at the situation, Eifion had to have encountered the man, the problem was why didn't the deacon tell them after it happened. Does he believe that the issue was resolved?

He can't even ask, because the man had already lost his memories about that encounter, "If you evict someone, can they step on the grounds again, even if you have forgotten about them…?"

"I don't have the greatest of memory, so no. Even if I've forgotten, unless he has an aura transplant, there's-" the man stopped once he saw a scene he couldn't remember. There was a man on the ground, talking with him he never saw before.

Eifion turned the screen to the boys, "Is this him?"

"Yeah, you dealt with him already…"

"I'm sorry…" Eifion turned the screen back, "I guess I thought once I got rid of him, everything would be fine. It wasn't… I should've told you about it sooner."

"How long ago was it?"

"About…" Eifion looked at the date, "five weeks ago."

"Could he have already come back?"

"Not if I transported him to the middle of nowhere."

"Do you know where you transported him to?"

Eifion shook his head, "No, it works in a spontaneous matter. He could be anywhere from a mile away, to the middle of the ocean. There's no way for me to track him."

"What about the aura transplant you mentioned?"

"To make it easier to understand… Killua walks into this school with Daniel's aura. It's unheard of, but on the off chance, it can happen… that's the only way I can see it working. Then again… if I see him again, I'll just boot him… again. Not even Zetsu or In, can save you from this protective field."

Killua once more turned to Daniel, flicking out a single finger "Worst case scenario, let's say his outside these school grounds… The moment we flee, he could take us down." He flicked a second finger out, "Next worst would we bump into him during our travels." After flicking out the third finger, Killua smiled, "he was dealt with the moment he got transported."

"Do you think he could be dead…?"

"I hope so. One less problem to deal with." Killua brought his hands to cup his partner's cheeks, "We'll be alright… I promise you. Even if he's still alive and outside these gates… I'll still look after you, okay?"

Daniel placed his hands on top of Killua's, they felt warm to the touch, the kind that made him feel fuzzy on the inside, "Okay… I'll trust you."

"Good…" Killua turned back to the Deacon, "If he shows up again, alert us… not in person just in case. We don't know how his conditions work. As long as you tell us… we can let you know Victor came by. Please tell us next time…"

Eifion looked at the video once more, taking note of the man disappearing into thin air, "I'll do that next time. Even if I've forgotten, he won't be allowed to step on these school grounds… He has already been marked as dangerous, the moment I transported him."

Daniel let out a shaky breath of relief, the school shouldn't be in danger… they'll continue to be safe.

"What about outside the school grounds?"

Eifion looked to the roof. Killua was right… there would be students outside these walls. The problem is if he captures a student and manipulated them into doing his bidding unconsciously… he'll be putting those students at risk.

He tapped his table, anxiety settling in the pit of his stomach. He's not about to send the boys and the girl away, it's not like the man could track them while they were on these grounds. Even if they disappear, the man might still hurt the other students to try to find them… He'll need to ask Vastorie for help on this issue.

"I'll have to ask your father, even if he doesn't get involved personally, he might know a way to combat the issue."

"You think my father would help, even if he makes the situation worse than what it already is?"

The deacon paused, now looking at Daniel with his undivided attention, "What do you mean worse?"

"I don't think he'll help… He might think he's making the situation worse, than if he were to not step in at all. Aside from wishing he never gave birth to me, the only interaction so far I've had with him, was to tell me to seek out Nathaniel's help for my song choice at the dance."

"This…" He looked at the floor, contemplating the situation, "this might be the first person to ever scare Vastorie… Who is he…?"

"He's… Vastorie's father…"

"He…" Eifion paused, eyes widening. This does change everything. But he still won't push the three kids away. Even if Vastorie won't help, he still has Nathaniel to depend on. They could go through their contacts, build up a list of people who could help refine the school's defences, not so much with guards… more with conditions that will stop Victor from finding loopholes in the school's conditions.

He doesn't want to scare the other students…

Maybe… a type of mechanism that could track the movements of Victor without him being aware of it. The man looked back to his screen, "Hackers…" He turned back to the boys, "what about an AI that could track his movements. A hacker might be able to help us out with that…?"

"Speak to my father, see how he responds to being watched. If he's aware, he might become more dangerous."

The man nod with a smile, "I'll keep that in mind. I'm sorry for not alerting you last time, but I promise, I'll make this safe for everyone… no matter how many avenues I have to explore before I get an solution."

Killua entertained his fingers with Daniel, let the boy know he's there for them, "Thank you for doing this for us…"

"I probably said it before… but I want to make sure my students are happy. You need a break, and if I can help you find protection and solace, I'd do it no matter how many times I forget about our deal. Starting from next year, study and relax… let me deal with this issue for you. I'll even open up the Nen training grounds for you… free of charge."

"You don't-"

"On one condition…"

The boys looked at each other, now worried about the deal they'll be forced to make.

Eifion smiled, "You have to become a teacher for new students. You'll get to learn, to build up your repertoire while helping others. Some of the students might not listen to you, but you'll get to learn new skills… get some hands on experience about the intricates of mingling with different Nen types. What do you say?"

That would be good for me… Daniel thought with a smile. Sure, he'll be doing what his father does, but learning from his mistakes and how to improve others, could help him in understanding how to improve himself "I'll do it!"

"Excellent…" The man shifted to look at Killua, offering the boy a smile.

Daniel can use this as a distraction… Killua smiled to himself. I like how you implemented the deal.
