Killua introduces Isaac to a new concept, only to prove a hypothesis he feared the most. The boy was cutting corners… He either deals with it now, or let the disaster play out. Given that Daniel's reputation could be on the line later down the track, he wasn't about to let that happen.

Killua expected things to blow up in his face, but he could never… have expected it to be this spectacular. From the moment he introduced the concept, from how it works to what it does, including what he needs in order to practice this ability… the way Isaac implemented it, it was like watching an enemy try escape him via a pool of lava.

He would've never expected Isaac to exceed his predicted result…

Aura circled Isaac's fist, leaving the rest of his body open for the worst-case scenario, instant death. Yet, the boy stood proudly, beaming widely as if he won the lottery several times over.

Ko, try to imagine aura circling your fist. I want you to channel a large chunk of your aura into a single fist. You need to do this, without focusing on a single spot… so do not leave yourself open while doing so.

That was all he wanted from his student, not what was standing before him.

He had half the mind to face palm, but given Isaac's proud smile, that would do more harm than good. He must have realised his mistake, or was he so focus on this one task… he hadn't realised how badly he screwed himself over.

This whole scenario was a royal mess that needed to be dealt with.

To Killua, if Isaac failed here, it wasn't the end of the world to him. But to Daniel… this meant everything. He was trying to learn through the same methods his father trailed, to see what it would've been like in his old man shoes.

Vastorie was notoriously known for many things, but the talent his son was trying to learn, is how to improve others. In doing so, he hoped to learn how to improve in himself…

If Isaac failed her, that would put a huge dint in Daniel's prospects. Vastorie wouldn't let one student fail… he was stubborn, something that happened to be passed onto Daniel as well. The few times he almost gave up, was because he felt like he failed everyone he cared about…

During the Chimera Ant's war, the boy felt like he failed Killua the most… that he wasn't worthy to be a friend, much less any more.

If he didn't have his discussion with Meruem, he probably wouldn't have concluded that he wasn't ready to give up…

So, even though Palm had already passed on his letter to him, that the damage had been dealt… Daniel wanted another chance. He apologised, wanting another chance and a way to prove himself. Time and time again, he proved that he wasn't ready to give up…

Killua wanted that dream to come true, so, he was willing to throw his weight around for his partner. The boy offered a defeated sigh, eyes flickering away for a moment as he thought about the best way to bring this up. But given his posture and expression, he never expected his student to bring up the concern himself.

It was as though the boy sensed his disappointment, "What's wrong…? Did I miss a step…?"

"Several," Killua shifted his attention to the boy once more, "There are several problems with what you're doing… can you point them out?"

Isaac looked down, glancing over his posture and stance. He did everything right, just like how his teacher asked. Did he miss a step, "No…?"

"Alright, how about this… swing your fist at me."

When Isaac panicked, Killua reassured the boy, "Don't worry, you have no chance of hurting me… let alone yourself."

The boy offered a nod, reeling his fist back before bringing it forward, poised to strike his teacher into the chest.

Killua took a step to the side, avoiding the strike entirely. Grabbing the boy by the arm connected to the shoulder, he held his student in a tight grip, stopping him moving… from hurting anyone, even Isaac, himself.

The boy's attack went off, aura fizzling out, striking nothing, but the surrounding air with a small gust of wind.

"Now, do you know what you did wrong…?"

Isaac's eyes widened as he felt death looming over his body, his teacher glancing at him with cold, deathly eyes and a chilling voice reverberating in his skull. He felt like at any second, he could die…

"Do you feel that…?"

The boy swallowed thickly; the sound was audible to his teacher.

Killua let go of the boy's arm, stopping his faux bloodlust from washing over his student.

Within a split second, the feeling was gone. It was as though he imagined the whole scenario. But when his eyes met with Kyle's he saw nothing but disappointment, like he had failed his teacher on several points, "Wh… Where did I go wrong?"

"Everywhere…" Killua took a step back, eyeing the boy's reaction for any possible future drama. He could see the boy was stressed, that he was upset from what he had just been told… But at the same time, he could see a bit of positivity. He wasn't balling in tears, complaining about life being unfair. At least his student one upped Daniel's student… or should he really say Madelyn here.

In all honesty, Daniel had nothing to do with Madelyn breaking down out of frustration… that was all on her "what I used against you is considered an emotional Nen attack. If I was serious, you would've been severely hurt during this interaction… but, you're lucky you have me. I have no reason, to make you buckle in fear…"

Taking another step back, he let reality do the rest for him. He had slapped his student across the face with some cold, harsh, truth. He could see the fear evident in the boy's eyes, but Killua wasn't about to soften any of his words.

This needed to be said, so Isaac would stop making mistakes further down the track. He doesn't want any of this to come bite Daniel in the ass "Where you focused your aura, the rest of your body was left wide open. You can't keep making the same mistake… You're not ready to learn Ko, but I told you, that you were ready… because you needed to see your mistake put on display… at no point, should you focus only on certain areas of your body… any weaknesses could get you maimed… even killed. What you need to do, is always keep your Ten up, always. Ryu may be the best course of action later down the track, but right now… Ten is what you need to focus on."

Killua pressed a finger against the boy's arms, pretending as though his finger were a knife slicing off the boy's arm "or someone other than me… could've easily take off a limb before you realise it… understand." While he could've proven the fact by taking off the boy's arm, he wasn't about to physically hurt the boy, just to make a point.

The facts should hurt his student just enough to make him learn a valuable lesson.

The boy nodded several times, body shivering from the boy's cold word.

"Good… Now, once more… show me your Ten again."

Watching the boy's every move intently, Killua's gaze never left him. While it wasn't a vast improvement like he was hoping to garner, it was still better than nothing. He wasn't acting like what he'd normally call a scatter brain…

Isaac was now focused, trying to find faults within his own judgements. He was trying to find what he could change about himself, what he could improve. He didn't know what exactly he should be changing, but if Killua argued that he has a few issues, then he should be able to find them himself…

He should've been able to see his flaw… but all he could see was the boy in front of him, eyeing him up and down, always looking, but never addressing the situation.

Killua took note of the boy's aura losing its strength, weakening from an internal distraction "Focus on your improvements…" the boy admitted, drawing his student's attention once more. He shifted an eyebrow, wondering why Isaac was looking at him as though he already needed help.

He hadn't said anything confusing. All he was doing was stating what he saw, which was Isaac losing his attention to something other than what was going on in his mind "I'll help you find your flaws as they come…" He offered a boy a genuine smile, "so you try to focus on improving."

Isaac turned away with a blush, unable to contain the hammering in his chest. Seeing someone's gaze on him, someone who wanted to help improve him… even if that gaze can sometimes turn deadly… or terrifying, it left him wanting more.

There was just one huge hurtle he'd have to get past… The boy behind Kyle, glistening with sweat. His movements were fluid, precise… he'd argue the boy's aura moved with deadly accuracy.

Not only that, his Hatsu rippled behind him, moving in conjunction with his gestures.

His name was Daniel, and he held Kyle's gaze, his affection when they thought nobody was looking. While Kyle was always the one to seemly appear to be flustered, he made no attempt to stop them…

He'll just continue to sit or stand, blushing from his boyfriend's words or actions.

On the other hand, these events made Isaac feel like a scatter-brain, unsure what he was feeling. He would dare argue that Kyle was a crush, that all this will amount to nothing. But, being touched by the boy felt like electrical currents were running through his body… that the teacher's hands felt graceful, sincere with him…

A small part made him wanted the boy's gaze, but unless he comes with some sort of strategy to remove Daniel from the picture, he can't have that. So, he'd have to suck it up… and move on.

The only problem with this plan, was it ended up backfiring. He thought he could escape the boy's clutches by trying to be worse… but, then Kyle had to care about him, to point out his weakness. Even though seeing the boy's eyes on him made him feel terrified, he felt like the boy was looking out for him. It cemented his feelings…

All he can to do now… is remove Daniel.

"You're losing your focus…" Killua hummed with his hands behind his back, barely glancing in the boy's direction. He was mainly focusing on using En, furthering his own training as he used the extended aura to pin point out his student's weakness. If he senses the boy's barrier weaken, even slightly, he would've picked it up.

Now was one of those times, "Don't overthink… just focus…"

Isaac offer a nod, focusing on the task at hand, and not the thoughts swirling around in his head.

"~"

With a simple wave, Isaac disappeared around a corner, Killua's eyes now turning to his partner who was now focused on him, eyes gleaming and a wide smirk.

"So…"

"First of all," Killua held out an offending finger to the boy looking at him with a sly expression, "wipe that look off your face, unless you prepared for the consequences."

Daniel's face immediately changed to a neutral one, "Got it!"

"Second of all… he's now on the right path."

"Before… or after you scared the shit out of him."

"After, unfortunately…"

Daniel gave a simple nod. He understood his partner's plight, what made him upset in this scenario, was that he had to resort to intimidating tactics just to get the boy to listen to his rules.

He wanted Isaac, to stop half-arsing his training and focus on what he's supposed to be doing.

Killua gave another annoyed sigh, "On the plus side at least he's doing it properly… for most of the time. He slips sometimes, but that's ok… this is the first day he's trying not to half arse his training."

"That's good, any concern you want to bring me into?" Daniel asked curiously, wondering if his partner wanted any assistance. They made a pact, that Killua will look after Isaac, and he'd deal with Madelyn. However, just because they agreed to look after those students, that doesn't mean they can't help each other. They'll reach out to each other for extra guidance…

It was the kind of bond they had; a relationship that made it easier to confined in each other.

Killua glanced over to his partner, smirking at the boy, "The kind of help I need is self-indulgent… nothing to do with Isaac at all."

"Oh…" Daniel matched his partner's temper, sauntering up to the boy with purpose. Even though he shied away from the possibility earlier, he felt like having some fun. He wants to tease his partner, maybe even eventually please him. Sure, the possibility of being caught red-handed in a compromising situation, would ruin the mood… mainly for him because he wasn't ready to extend their relationship that way, but Killua did love to have fun, so he should too "do tell…"

The boy shifted his stance, holding Killua by the hips as pressed into the boy. He didn't do it in sexual manner, he merely flattened his body against his partner, head now resting in the crane of his lover's neck.

With a simple kiss, he watched his boyfriend's face explode with colour, different shades of red extending from his neck to the tips of his ears.

Even with the flushed cheeks, Killua felt a warm smile spread from his cheeks.
Daniel pressed against him…
The boy's welcoming words during the conversation…

His partner was willing to continue, the question was in what manner will it lead to? Killua shifted his gaze slightly, one arm extending, fingers combing through the boy's hair. Daniel's eyes fluttered shut, his smile appearing warmer, more welcoming at the current scenario and where it was being led to, "For a guy who calls me cute half the time, you're looking awfully cute right now… May I even dare say… attractive."

"Was that coming from your heart…" Daniel gently ran his palm along his partner's lower regions, feeling it bounce from the sensation, "or here?"

Killua let out a frustrated groan; Daniel was willing, and ready to continue their session in a more private setting "Damn… gonna need to…" Killua brought his lips to touch his partners, ready to kiss the boy. But he couldn't help it… he wanted to have a little bit of fun first.

A sly grin escaped the boy's lips "deal with this rising situation in a more private manner if you catch my drift."

Killua claimed his partner's lips before he could answer, one hand shifting the boy's hair to the small of his back, pressing his body against the boy's. In one fluid motion, he let go of the dazed boy, giving him a couple of second to let reality slap him across the face.

Daniel breathed in a shallow manner as his mind came to terms what will be happening that night… or when they get back in a more likely scenario. He opened a flood gate, and he was going to either drown or float in what was to come.

Opening his eyes, he offered his partner a smile, "Conditions and rules apply?"

"Like always…"

Daniel's expression softened, "What you'd prefer…?"

"Surprise me…" Killua taunted his partner, wondering how exactly will he surprise him.

With a shy smile and a small dip of his head, he knew what his heart wanted… and he felt like Killua would want it too.
