The time has come, the time is now. Time to say hello to a New Year, and be ready for what comes next, for the year of 2023 is inbound, for the mark of when this story ends, and how it will go down for everyone else, and there are still more ideas for future chapters. Chapter 692: One last for New Year's Eve.

(December 31, the Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)

A night time moment is here, and everyone is getting ready for something big tonight, and we see Michelle Lewis go into the house, and she passes by the Rosato parents, and then she goes by Simon, but she does pat his head, and then she makes it to the backyard. Then she speaks.

"Guys, Mayor Davis told me that something happened to the fireworks which were supposed to be used tonight!"

This confuses everyone and then Lincoln asks. "What happened?"

Michelle Lewis then explains. "Alright, so the truck carrying the fireworks was headed to Ketcham Park, but then it nearly ran over a stray cat, and veered out of control, and the fireworks fell off and landed in the snow, the truck remained there with an unconscious driver for two hours, and when some folks showed up to help, the fireworks were too cold, and if we try to dry them, then they will be soaked."

The others remain silent, and Jordan feels like fainting and then Delilah asks. "So, now what mom?!"

Michelle then calms down. "I told mayor Davis of my backup plan, and she is headed to the Allied Outpost, and I made the request to use the special code, known as code: Firing Lights, and it will be used for the whole New Year's gig, so we're not getting fireworks, but we are gonna get an awesome and spectacular light show that we have never ever seen."

They all liked this idea, and so they all patiently wait for this amazing extravaganza to appear, Lincoln then sits next to his mother, Luna. "Hey, kiddo. You doing okay, Linc?"

Lincoln nods. "Yeah, I am and thanks for the big idea on having Gyarados here." They spot the large and powerful sea dragon-like Pokémon, on the snow at the backyard, and next to a large portable pool that is warm, and also in this pool is Seaking.

Rosey runs around the backyard, and playing alongside Dreepy, and then Rosey side steps to avoid collision, while Knockback is on a tree branch and waiting for the big lights show, and they have a few minutes before it happens.

Leslie and Delilah are both talking about something, exciting and Delilah is surprised. Because Leslie wants to try and join the dojo and learn some karate, she wants to be like Delilah, because she looks up to her, as her true big sister. This is something they need to tell Michelle and surely she will be okay with it, and Leslie also has other ideas. 'Maybe Stella would like to be part of it.'

Luna is happy to see how this arrangement with the guests and Pokémon companions have turned out, all according to plan and then she speaks. "All of this is necessary Linc, for all of us to come together and..." Gyarados moves closer to them, and they chuckle. "Enjoy." they then pet his head, and he likes this, then they look to the mega stone on his horn. "So, next month is gonna be a test of mega evolution proportions huh?"

Lincoln nods and he looks determined. A tag team clash, Knockback and Gyarados, against Absol and Grapploct, and it's gonna be so cool to see one, I mean I have never ever seen one in town before, and it sounds awesome. I have seen the file, but an actual one is gonna be something else, and Knockback is prepared to face him."

Luna smiles hearing this, her son has determination and a spit fire resilience, then she pulls her son close. "We've come so far, and things are gonna keep changing again, and we're gonna be going further into whatever the future holds, and we do it all together as one big happy family."

Lincoln smiles, and he nods. "Yeah, we'll all be together and having the best of times, even them along for the ride." The mother and son can see Jordan and Sam, talking to each other. "You think they're chatting about for when the time comes for us to move and live at the Rosato mansion?"

Luna thinks about this. "That is a strong possibility, chances they are talking about us and involving something else. They'll tell us when the time is right."

Lincoln then asks again. "You ever wonder how things would be, if we weren't mother and son?"

Luna doesn't get startled by this question, and she sighs. "Well, we did encounter our counterparts, and the hero version of myself spoke of this prime Loudverse, the one where they are the louds, and are going through so many adventures, but the bond between Lincoln and Luna there is non-existent, and it feels kinda sad too, I mean the louds don't seem to have changed, and are not even recalling heir past mistakes, much."

"But that is the life they wanna live in, while we have the life we have right here, and it will never ever be altered or broken. Our bond as mother and son have been tested, and we have been through hard times and troubling issues, faced conflicts and even dealt with the past stuff that went down and where it all began, but what matters is how deep our love is for each other, and I love you kiddo. Very much."

Lincoln smiles hearing this and he hugs her. "And I love you mom, and I always will." Lincoln then kisses her cheek, and Luna does the same, then Sam and Jordan show up, and then Michelle comes out and she yells.

"Everyone, time to count it down! But not count it up." They all chuckle hearing her pun, and so they commence the countdown.

"Ten!"
"Nine!"
"Eight!"
"Seven!"
"Six"!
"Five!"
"Four!"
"Three!"
"Two!"

"One!"

They see some missiles are airborne and then they collide with each other high in the sky, and they all look in awe at the awesome lights show, which form different shapes, and colors, and everyone in Royal Woods cheers. "HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

They all cheer, chant and sing as these awesome fireworks continue to light up the night sky of Royal Woods and even all the Pokémon cheer seeing that, and Gyarados roars and launches a dragon's rage, but this one blows into the sky, making the logo of the Dragon-Type Pokémon, now that is impressive, and all while we see Luna and Sam share a small kiss, and Lincoln and Jordan are doing the same thing.

They then depart from the kiss, and they all look to the lights show, then they all speak. "Happy New Year, and to another amazing and good future."

A/N: So long, 2022 and here we go, 2023. Some new stuff going around, which will involve some episodes and other changes, and possible for old foes to come back to, but whatever the case, they will face the odds and win it, together. I hope that you all enjoy reading this new chapter guys.
