Time to get some plans into motion and get into the shopping spree, because it is dang New Year's Day still, sorta. A lot of changes, plans and preparations for some big stuff coming around, so long 2022 and hello 2023. Enjoy reading this new chapter of the year guys.
Family of Two.
Chapter 693: New Year shopping.
(January 2, the Royal Woods Mall. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
The doors of the mall open, and walking through are Lincoln, Luna, Michelle, Delilah and Leslie, and the group look around and see that a lot of shops are open, and the sales are just the right thing for them for this day, they also spot a ton of folks going around and buying what they wanted or need which are now and officially affordable.
Luna smells the air. "This is it guys, the smell of a sale day and on the New Year too. This is gonna be rough, but we can handle this madness and chaos. Right family?"
The others nod and cheer. "Yeah!"
Michelle then speaks up. "Alrighty then, we all know the drill and where we wanna go, right?" The others nod, and they all speak what they have planned for this day.
Delilah. "I am headed to the sportswear and see if what I seek is now affordable, and also I need to meet with Adelaide later at the nearby clothes department. Gotta help my little apprentice in karate with something she seeks to perhaps use to help with her personal self-defense training."
Leslie. "I am headed to the tech store and see if they have any new gadgets and I will be meeting Stella Zhau there too, we're gonna go and check out what is new, and what is affordable. I got my eyes on a tool kit, since I plan to join the tech club when High School comes about."
Luna. "I will be accompanying Lincoln to the comic book store and the video game store, but we will also be making our way to the Music store, and Gryphon's shopping. We are also going to meet with the Sharps', and the Rosato's' later and see if they could use some help."
Lincoln. "There are some stuff that we have had our eyes on, and then later in the day we're gonna look for some new beds, along with the mattress and all that stuff. We are going to make some major changes."
But Lincoln doesn't know about the other plan that his mom has, and Luna smirks. 'There's gonna be one major surprise for you soon, kiddo. But that'll be for sooner this month, and not yet now or tomorrow.'
Michelle nods, and then she speaks. "Good, we all have cash that we can spend. I will be at Gryphon's shopping and then headed to Reiningers, and then we will all meet at the Food Court. Got it family?"
They all are stern and nod. "Got it!"
"Then Loud's, and Lewis-Loud's! Let's get shopping!" They all split up, though Lincoln and Luna go together and they begin their shopping, and also seek out the other families they were supposed to meet up with.
(Later in the day.)
After some heavy duty shopping, we now see Lincoln and Luna are waiting at the food court, and it is just them. They already met up with Sam Sharp, and her family, and Jordan Rosato and her family and helped with their shopping, and then they parted ways and the two louds are waiting for the others.
Lincoln checks out the new comic books he has got, and then he asks his mom. "Hey mom, this year the new movie of..."
"Transformers Rise of the Beasts" replied Luna. "I am aware kiddo, and don't worry, we will see it once it premieres soon this summer, it is gonna be cool, and I am glad you got your hands on the stuff you were looking for. Good deal on them too."
Lincoln nods and smiles. "I know, but after we eat lunch, mom are we going to go and check out the beds we need later?"
Luna nods, and then she explains. "Darn right we are kiddo, now the sole reason why we're doing it after lunch, is because this part of the shopping will be a long one. I did some measurements of the bedroom we share, and we need beds that would fit on either side of the room, and make sure it will hold and then comes the mattresses, and we need them to be the same size as the bed frames, and soft and comfy for some decent and peaceful sleep."
Lincoln nods, but then something else comes to his mind. "Wait, how the heck do we get the bunk bed out of the room, mom?"
Luna chuckles, and she smirks. "Don't worry that white-haired head of yours kiddo, Michelle has a plan and it involves some outside/other worldly help." Lincoln nods and he seems excited for what is to come, then Luna speaks. "Ready for more to come this year Linc?"
Lincoln nods, and he smiles. "Sure am, this is my last year to be within Middle School, and before summer comes around, I will be graduating and headed for High School, with Jordan and Leslie there and along with all of our friends, and Delilah is there too. It's gonna be awesome, but a dang shame that you aren't gonna be there, mom." He sounds a little upset on that part. "But, I can hold my own, and I have friends and family there for High School to back me up."
Luna nods. "You have some dang good friends and family to be there by your side. You can handle High school Linc. You have... We have been through a lot and fought through so much and we managed to keep this family together and then made it grow and forgave the old. But know this, I am not gonna be away from you when college comes, because I am not going to some big time college outside of town."
"Sam and I have made out choices, and the Royal Woods community college is for us, and also Sam and I have some plans on new and special part-time jobs, I will be a music teacher for the Royal Woods Elementary School, and Sam is gonna help run the music store in town. The band mates, Sully and Mazzy... They have their own gimmicks going around, but we'll always come and band together when we feel like jamming for some musical gigs."
That is something Lincoln did not see coming, but he smiles and likes these new plans and ideas that his mom has and along with Sam, he knows that the future for them this year is about to go up to above 11.
Then they see Michelle arrive, and with Delilah and Leslie, and they all begin to order their lunch and talk about what they have all been doing all day while shopping, and Luna and Lincoln tell them about the incident when Mrs. Sharp was fighting someone for the new stove, and Mrs. Rosato clashing with someone for the new on sale washing machine, jeez!
(Timeskip, the Loud House. Franklin Avenue.)
Night time, and Lincoln sits on his bed, but it is not the bunk anymore, they got rid of that one... Well, they donated the bunk bed and that was not easy to handle to get out of the house, so they got some FutureTech help to get the bunk bed out.
This bed, is a single bed and meant for one or two folks, if they can manage to fit. Lincoln's bed has white sheets and a soft mattress, orange and purple flame pattern blanket and two pillows, and of course his plush Pokémon, and polar bear by his side.
Lincoln smiles seeing the bed he is on, and then he sees the way this room now looks. Next to him is his lamp table, with his alarm clock and lamp and his computer at the end of his bed, and along with the studying desk which is by the window.
Across the room from where he sits, is the bed which belongs to his mom, Luna. Her bed is the same as his, but with dark purple blankets and purple pillows, her own lamp desk and alarm clock, and at the foot of her bed is the new large, containing the clothes for herself and her son.
Still in the room, is the soft perch for Lincoln's Pokémon companion, the Hisuian Decidueye Knockback and he is fast asleep and wearing noise-b-gone ear plugs, and Lincoln smirks and knows why he seeks some decent and good sleep, because of what will come tomorrow.
'Tomorrow, it's gonna be you and me clashing against some other worldly foes, Knockback. It will be kinda rough, but we can handle it, and see if you truly are strong, and I also need to see how I can use this to its full potential, with Gyarados.'
He looks to the keystone and he smiles. He wants to see how powerful Gyarados is for when he becomes, mega.
Just then, the door opens and Lincoln sees his mom, Luna Loud and then she sees her son and she smiles and she goes over and she sits next to him. "How're you holding up here, kiddo?"
Lincoln smiles. "I'm doing alright, it has been some time since I have been on my own bed, and it doesn't feel strange to not be lying on a bunk bed, but this is fine and we need to adapt to this new change, right mom?"
Luna nods and she rubs his hair. "That's right, sweetie. We need to handle and be fine with how things are changing now and what will come soon. This split up with the bed, this is all necessary and when the time comes and we leave this house... We're gonna be living someplace else, and you kiddo will get your own room."
Lincoln nods and he hugs Luna. "I know, and I can't wait for that too. Everything is going to be awesome, and there might be some obstacles in the way, but we can handle them and see through the chaos and trouble and everything will be as it were as usual, our normal and changed lives."
Luna returns the hug and she kisses his forehead. "No matter what happens, we will always be family and you will always be my son." she then smiles as she recalls her special plan soon. 'Then comes the big and temporary plan I have, and to make it go down and come true... We'll need to make a trip, to Great Lakes City.'
