This is it, time to make the changes which Luna Loud has tasked herself, and promised, something that is temporary and what you guys may have known from another of one of my stories. Enjoy reading this newly posted chapter guys.

Family of Two.
Chapter 696: A Temporary new change.

(January 7, Mayor's Office at the Town Hall. Royal Woods, Michigan.)

Michelle Lewis is done sorting through the plans which she had planned, alongside the mayor and then she hears the door open, and coming through is the mayor of Royal Woods. "Hey there, Michelle. So, how're those big plans we're gonna be ready for?"

Michelle stands up and she reads the papers which have the plans. "Alright, so we are set and ready with everything needed for the Royal Woods Chinese New Year celebration, then we have the big Valentine's Day Festival as well, and that'll take place on the very day of Valentine's Day, and also we have yet to prepare for the stuff on when the Easter egg hunt for the month of April."

"Also, the big preparations for the very first ever Pokémon day are all done, and I know that a lot of folks will love this event, and of course FutureTech will help support this event with, well whatever they can, though we don't have any plans for the month of March."

Mayor Davis thinks about this. "Hmm, I see. We'll have to wing it then. Also, I think the plans for the new Royal Woods Museum will have to be halted, apparently i was told that there is a gas leak, underneath and it leads back to the old Tetherby oil refinery, and I didn't know they were still there."

Michelle knows what to do. "Let me get FutureTech to investigate on that, and then they can handle the situation, and when it is done and cleaned up, then the museum can go back as planned."

"Awesome" replied Mayor Davis. "Sure is nice to have you around and being my assistant, you are dang good at this."

"Thanks, and also I look forward to my day off next week. I gotta spend some time with my girls and see what we can do for fun" replied Michelle, then she has something on her mind. "Also, I had this idea on what we can put up for when the season of spring makes a big impact return."

Mayor Davis smiles, and likes hearing this. "Well, I am all ears."

"A big Family Picnic event" replied Michelle Lewis Loud. "We can have that for when the season of spring comes, and it can be set up somewhere on the month of March, since we don't have anything big going on, on that month."

Mayor Davis smiles. "I like that idea, it's going to be something truly special for all families." she then gets a phone call. "I should take this, and also get that plan locked, stocked and ready." she then goes to her office, and Michelle goes to her wok.

Michelle then remembers what is going on today. 'Right, Luna said she had this big plan, a new and temporary change, and has something to do with a trip to Great Lakes City. I wonder what she has in store.'

(Great Lakes City.)

Luna Loud takes a seat, and she is at the hair stylist, Margarita and the woman in charge is joined by her assistants, CJ and Carlota, and also there is Sam Sharp, and the superhero counterparts. Luna Spellman/Luna Frost and Sam M. Sharp/Sam Livewire.

The hair stylist in charge then asks. "Alright, so I know some of you are going to want some pedicures and manicures, but what is this special request which Ms. Loud seeks?"

Luna looks to Luna Frost, and she nods. "Hand it to her." Luna Frost knows what to do, and she hands the photo to Margarita.

Margarita is then shown the photo. "Wow. So, you wanna look like this?"

Luna nods. "Yup, I wanna see what happens when my son sees the Luna who was meant to be, someone who was lost long ago and never came back to make things right, this is something special that I wanna change, and all before the whole whatever time I have left for High School, and before we make another big change soon, after graduation."

CJ and Carlota see the photo and then Carlota speaks. "Seems like a challenge, and CJ and I are so in on it."

"This will be no trouble, I can do this thing" replied CJ.

Margarita smiles. "And that is why I have you two as my well-trained, and especially skilled assistants. But I do need to know..." Margarita looks towards Luna and the others. "Where did you guys get this photo of Luna in this? Is this some kind of edited photo thing?"

Sam Livewire smirks. "No edit, and not fake. That there is the real deal, but from another Luna whom we have met last year, and let's just say she changed everything when she said no to the concert."

Luna Frost then speaks. "If Luna Loud is in on this, then so are we. We wanna help see this through, and this plan she has was already made and done, by another Luna Loud we know."

Margarita is confused. "Okay then." She then has her tools ready. "Alright, let's get to work kids." CJ and Carlota then go over, and assist her, while the others watch this go down.

Sam Livewire then asks her counterpart. "So, the other plan in motion for Lincoln?"

Sam nods. "Yup, the others will keep him busy and when this is done, then we're headed back to Royal Woods, and showing this new and yet temporary change to Lincoln."

(Ketcham Park.)

Just as planned, this is where Lincoln Loud is, and he is hanging out with Leslie and Delilah, and the trio are walking around and taking in the sights of the park, and whatever else has been changed, which is the presence of some ice type Pokémon.

Lincoln then looks around, and he sees Clyde and Chloe are both having some hot chocolate, and the air is still chilly and there is still some snow on the ground, then he asks. "So, when do you two wanna have a Pokémon battle with the counterparts?"

Leslie thinks about this. "That one is a tough thing to make up, and we don't know when. Rosey and Snowball are already strong, just as Knockback is."

"Speaking of which, where the heck is he?" asked Delilah.

"Over there." Lincoln points to a tree, and they see the Hisuian Decidueye, Knockback, and he is meditating on one leg and trying to focus his peace and calm state, and it could mean he is planning something. "He has been doing this lately, and I think he wants to be ready for whatever else is gonna be a challenge for him."

Delilah smirks. "Now that makes sense, but I need to be honest with you guys. I wanna have another awesome and epic Pokémon battle, once the annual Pokémon day event begins here in Royal Woods, and I don't think snowball and I mind on whoever the heck we're gonna be colliding with."

Leslie smiles. "That sounds like a plan, but if the foes start to use Z-Moves, and Gigantamax, then we are done for."

Lincoln scoffs and smiles. "Not a challenge for Gyarados and myself." Leslie and Delilah chuckle hearing this, they knew he would feel confident, ever since Gyarados learned to become and control the powers of Megavolution.

Delilah and Leslie then recall what they have to do. 'We gotta keep Linc occupied, and wait for when the others come back from Great Lakes City.' They then spot Lincoln, as he walks over and spends some time with Lana and Lola, and the twins are playing with two Alolan Sandshrew, making an igloo.

(Moments Later.)

As the afternoon carries on, Lincoln Loud is now under the shade of the tree, and he is fast asleep leaning onto the sleeping Hisuian Arcanine, Snowball. From afar, near the lake is Leslie and Delilah and they both skip some stones, and then check the time.

Leslie then asks. "Alright, so it has been all afternoon, and the others haven't even come back from Great Lakes City. Where the heck are they?"

Delilah then intervenes. "Calm down sis, I am concerned about where they are, but we need to be patient some more. Luna will come back, and with whatever it is she has planned. But to be honest, I kinda am getting restless too. We've been keeping Lincoln occupied, and no response from the others..."

Just then, a Frost Wyrm arrives, and it does scare away some Pokémon, and the folks notice this and it lands down. The shaking of the ground causes Lincoln to stir from his nap, and he sees the giant undead ice dragon and he knows what that means. "Mom."

Delilah and Leslie are glad they are back too, and they wanna know what the heck they have been doing at Great Lakes City. Luna Frost, Sam Livewire and Sam Sharp get off, and then Sam goes over she hugs Lincoln. "Hey there, Linc. So, how was your day?"

"Awesome, and fun" replied Lincoln. He doesn't notice, but Luna Loud also comes down. "We met some new and..." Lincoln then sees his mother, and he goes wide eyed, Sam turns around and she smirks. "Mom?"

Sam then stands up, and she takes a few steps back and she lets Lincoln and the others take a look, at the newly changed Luna Marie Loud.

Her hair is longer, and reaches her back now. She still has the pixie cut on the front, and she kinda looks the same, but her clothing has changed. She is now wearing: A white long sleeved buttoned shirt, with a purple sleeveless sweater vest, and a small purple bow at the collar, her skit is still flannel purple, and with her white belt, but it now has a musical note on the buckle, she is wearing white socks, and black shorts underneath the skirt, and black shoes.

Seeing Luna like this, makes the others look in shock and awe, and even the former louds are there and they don't even know what to think but Lori, Leni ad Luan have seen this Luna before, long ago when they were very young, but this one is older and it's like looking at someone from a timeline in the past. Luna then looks to her son. "Hey there, kiddo."

Lincoln is confused, and also cautious. "Mom?"

Luna then walks over, and she kneels down in front of her son. Luna takes his right hand, and lets him touch her cheek. "Linc, it's me. The Luna you remembered, long ago, and I am still your mom, I just thought of a new change, a temporary change."

Lincoln hears, that it is the voice of his mom, Luna. But she looks different, and then he looks into her eyes, and a series of flashbacks appears, and they are flashbacks of the memories he spent, when Luna Loud was her usual self, and not the Rock n' Roll gal.

Lincoln then sheds some tears, and he looks towards Luna. "M-Mom? Mom?"

Luna then embraces her son, and Lincoln returns the hug. "Yes, yes it is me, kiddo. Mommy is here... Just like old times, my sweet little child of mine."

Seeing this touches their hearts, and they take some photos of this new change, and then Sam comes over, and she joins in the hug. Leslie and Delilah are still baffled, but they are happy for this, and they cannot wait to tell their mom, but chances she will see it on social media later.

Luna Frost and Sam Livewire smile seeing this. 'The plan worked, and now to let them run this whole thing onward, and whatever the heck will happen next.'
