Time to go back to school and see how everything has been lately and what else is going on, and one of which is something Clyde needs to tell the others that involved an orchid and his dad's, and then we have Luna checking on what the others think after the truth announcement from the Principal. Family of Two.
Chapter 703: The usual school things, sorta.
(January 16. Royal Woods Middle School. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Lincoln Loud comes into the school, with Leslie, Delilah and Jordan, they then high five with Mollie, Sadie and Joy, then they see Hassan and he waves to them and has a drone he made for the tech club, and then Stella meets up with the group. "Hey guys, Clyde is at his locker and he has something to tell Linc, I think. I honestly don't know."
Lincoln knows what it is about. "I know what it's all about and it has something to do with what happened last week, and being the one in his house to handle with everything else."
"That is true." Chloe goes over to them, and Clyde is with her. "Clyde, care to explain to Linc what happened."
Clyde sighs and then he tells them. "Alright, so my dad's went out of town for the day, which you all recall that I said that last week, and Chloe was with me so we could watch some TV, but before we did that, I needed to finish the daily chores and one of which is watering the plants, but I made a huge mistake."
Delilah then asks. "You overdid the fertilizer?"
Clyde then speaks. "Nope, I always know how much is needed for the flower garden. The real problem, is the Eternal Love Orchid, which is a rare orchid that is in the house, and has been with the family ever since my dad's first met and from their very first date. It is the symbol of their love and it rarely blooms, and when it does then my dad goes into an emotional state that he cries, a lot, and it turned bad real fast."
Lincoln is confused. "What? Clyde, you are the guy who knows how to make chores go as planned." Lincoln then opens his locker, and he grabs his books. "How bad did it go anyway?"
Clyde doesn't wanna explain, so Chloe does. "So, Clyde left the watering can alone next to the orchid while he want to sort out in where the trash goes between compost and recycling and actual garbage, but then the cats knocked over the watering can, which then spilled into the flower pot with the orchid inside. The orchid must be watered, once every 12 hours."
Clyde then continues. "The orchid died."
They remain silent, and then Rusty speaks. "Dude, that is dark. Heck, my mom would flip if her roses were destroyed." That is also the reason why he was grounded for two months, because his break dance crashed the roses.
Clyde then continues. "So, we needed to find a place where to find the orchid, and I did my research and the eternal love orchid is found in the harshest swamp around, and we didn't have the cash for it, but then Chloe recalled, the orchid is in Royal Woods, sorta."
"Why's that?" asked Jordan.
Chloe explains. "I saw the orchid, but it is located somewhere near the large lake, far from Tall Timbers forest. Ever since the presence of Dinosaurs in Tall Timbers Park, and forest, the orchid is located and growing there, at their watering hole far from the woods, and that would mean going there and we took the risk and went to where they were, and we had to bypass Mrs. Chang and Dr. Turner."
Sid then recalls. "Oh, right. Sometimes, when my mom is focused on her work, she becomes legit focused and channels almost a lot of stuff out, but she didn't do that at the zoo, she does it now because the dinosaurs need a lot of attention, and I do it too and so does Adelaide."
They have no words to say about what Sid just said.
Chloe then continues. "So, we went there, and we avoided the dinosaurs and made sure we weren't caught, and then we found the orchids, and they were so many. We got one, but then we met someone there who was also getting one, and we didn't expect him to be there."
Clyde then speaks. "My dad, Harold."
"What? Dude, why is he there?" asked Tabby.
Clyde then explains. "My dad told me, he found the orchid dead and went to find a new one, he also told me that he caused the death of the orchid several times, by accident and he always gets a new one, by spending some cash and finding it in the harshest swamp, but then he found out about the lake and the orchids growing there, and then we told him what truly happened to the orchid."
Chloe continues. "He was not pleased to know the cats did it, but we chose to head back and bring back one orchid, but when we arrived at Tall Timbers Park, we ran into Howard McBride, and he was confused as to why we were hold an orchid that was the same as the one at the house, and we knew that the jig was up and we told him the truth."
"Yikes" replied Zach. "He must've been emotionally upset about it."
Clyde then speaks. "Actually the total opposite, he was glad."
They all remain silent, and then Leslie asks. "Wait, what?"
Clyde nods. "As you see, he is glad the orchid is gone. He said that he loved it, but the flower was so high maintenance, that he had to revolve his entire schedule around the orchid and it made him stressed out. He also said that he had to get new ones when he accidentally got it killed, and when it bloomed, those were not tears of joy, because he felt like he couldn't be free from it."
"He thought we loved it, and didn't wanna get rid of it for our sakes, and that he didn't need an orchid to be the symbol of his love for me and dad, he had us to care and love the most. But at least we can be able to see more of them every now and then, that is if we are allowed near the dinosaur watering hole outside of Tall Timbers Forest."
The others are baffled to hear this. "Wow, didn't see that one coming" replied Lincoln.
Jordan then whispers to Lincoln. "Linc, we love each other, but don't get me an orchid like that."
Then Principal Ramirez arrives. "Hey there kids, look at this orchid that Ms. Bright gave me from the book club meeting." They see the Eternal Love Orchid, and they can tell that this flower will stress out Principal Ramirez.
(Royal Woods High School.)
Luna Loud is feeling confident as she walks down the halls, and she waves to some of the students, and the guys who tried to flirt with her ignore her and feel embarrassed at what they did when she came to the school with the new look she has now.
Luna is happy that the announcement that Principal Rivers sent worked, and now she is still known as Luna Loud, and the other guys who have been attracted to her new looks, feel like idiots and also fools for thinking Sam was cheating, when she wasn't the whole time.
Luna sighs in relief. 'This is good. Looks like the plan worked, and I can keep this appearance till graduation day, and then the Luna Loud which everyone knows and recalls will be back. Things sure are turning good for us.' She then sees Luan, and she seems concerned. "Luan, what's wrong dude?"
Luan sighs and then she tells her. "Okay, so Lori got these letters from the mail."
Luna is confused. "And what are those letters?"
Luan then tells her. "Their letters, from Fairway University, and they want Lori Lauren to become part of their college."
Luna is surprised to hear this. "What?"
Luan nods. "The letters are from Fairway, and we don't know how or why, but Lori has to think about this and this kinda has me and my mom, Leni on edge. We don't know what will happen next, will Lori accept the letters or not?"
The bell then rings. "Look, we can talk later. See you around, Lunes." Luan then heads to her class, still feeling not so happy about this.
Luna then heads off to her class, and she needs to inform the others about this, and she is confused about one thing. 'Why would it be now that Fairway University wants Lori to be part of their system?'
