A final discussion between loose ends. Isaac, Madelyn and Eifion need to have one final say on the matter.

A\N: So, I got good news… and bad news…

Bad news first because it's shorter. I'm going on a trip with my partner, so no new chapter next week.

Good News, I had a eureka moment as I was preparing for the next part of the adventure. I not only have who they're visiting next set up, I've revolved the plot around them, including how to help the pair grow together. It's a fun little idea which I can't wait to share with the readers. :)

With that being said, enjoy the rest of the chapter.

Daniel was frustrated how everything went, how their life went from blissful to destroyed in the matter of one single afternoon. Rumours had already begun to spread, people talking behind Killua's back, avoiding him like the plague as he walked the hallways.

The rumour being, he attacked a teacher… to make matters worse, everyone knows his actual name. How those details got spread, he wasn't exactly sure. Whether it was from Vastorie, or the teachers gossiping, he'll never know.

The main thing that pisses him off was the obvious lie, the one about Killua attacking a teacher. The poor guy couldn't even defend himself; he couldn't protect his boyfriend because he couldn't speak on behalf of himself.

He already had a meltdown in his partner's presence, calling everyone hypocrites while Killua was forced to usher him out of rooms, bringing him to quiet places so he could personally calm down from the situation.

He hated everything from Vastorie to the teachers, the students and Victor, the guy watching them. Very few of the teachers had come to their defence, forcing the other kids to either go to their next class or go back to their dorms to study, if they have so much free time to gossip.

He was thankful for those moments, but they're few and far between.

He even avoided Clarisa and Kiel, for the sake of their safety, at least until their last day. Lord knows how the rumours would shift if they were to be seen together.

This wasn't easy for Alluka either, she's been forced to stay in the room, just because of her connection to her brother. The only good thing to come out of this was, that she was able to gain true friends from this scenario.

There were friends still willing to talk to her, even though she comes from a long line of assassins. They had heard the rumours but didn't fear her specifically. She never gave off the vibe…

Killua was thankful for that, he even hugged his sister when he heard the news. He wouldn't threaten any of her EX-friends, not while the rumours are floating around. The last thing he needed to do was give ammunition to anyone for that matter.

They were almost packed and ready to leave by tomorrow, the final day they were forced to leave by.

This is unfortunately where they'll need to tie up some loose ends, mainly talk to the friends and students they made along the way.

Madelyn is going to be the most difficult to talk with, given that it wasn't too long ago, that she issued a no-contact on them. But still, unfortunately, he'll have to say his goodbyes at least.

Daniel's head perked up when he heard his name being called, "Daniel, I'm gonna do a final load of washing, anything you missed?"

The boy in question looked over his clothing, "Just a few underwear and shirts… not much."

His partner came in at the mention of clothes, bringing the basket filled with mostly Alluka's clothes. He was surprised by how many cute dresses she goes through. He threw the dirty clothes into the basket before returning to his earlier task.

Killua frowned, "You look like shit… no offence."

"None, taken…" Daniel spoke with an emotionless tone. He felt like shit, because right now… they had no clues on where to head to next, nor if Victor will be at their next location. To make matters worse, they were supposed to get out of school by tomorrow.

At least a clue or something… But no, Vastorie had to shove his head so far up his ass, he could devour his own, bullshit. The only thing helpful he has gotten from the man was the case file relating to Victor.

But that man can wipe their memory, to make them forget they ever met that man. They'll have to put a reminder to read the document every day for the rest of their adventure, a note to remind them that if they ever forget, it meant they were in danger.

But if that ever happened, who the fuck are they supposed to rely on…? How do they run away from a man they couldn't track, who they couldn't look at for a second? If he's in their vicinity, there was no chance of survival… not, once they've gone to sleep.

They don't have the necessary training to survive.

Should they go back home instead?

No… Killua and Zaikaria would butt heads. They wouldn't be able to co-exist, not while Zaikaria doesn't trust his partner.

"You're overthinking… I can tell." Killua put the basket down to instead hug his partner, "speak to me."

"Where are we supposed to go, when there's the potential chance the one, we're supposed to be running from, is lying in wait for us to arrive?"

"We can alternate, go to different cities and locations every week."

"What about Alluka, this will be taxing on her, not just us…"

"She's strong… I know she is, just like you are."

Daniel turned to his partner, looking at him in disbelief, "Not right now."

"You just need a distraction…" The boy spoke in a soft tone, eyes gazing into his boyfriend's. He genuinely cared about him, his worries… no matter how taxing they were right now. They've all been pulled to the brink. He was reaching the end of his, he was on the cusp of breaking. However, he must be strong, not just for himself… but the others who were also suffering, Daniel and Alluka.

"I'm not in the mood for sex." Daniel blurted out casually. It's a distraction that he was used to receiving from Killua. While it's not an unwanted one, in this situation, he wasn't in the mood.

Killua burst into laughter, "Neither am I. Hence, the tone I was using…"

"Sorry…"

The boy nuzzled into his partner's neck, "It's okay. The tension is pretty, high… We'll stay in this city for the moment, look around for clues for the remaining people on the list we still need to talk to. Once we find one of them, we'll leave as soon as possible for their location."

"What if Victor is waiting for us…?"

"Then we'll bounce around the map until he loses our trail. Problem solved, no biggie…" Killua felt Daniel turn around, hugging him tightly. The boy's expression further softens as he held his partner back "It's okay… I understand. I promise to look after you, no matter what danger awaits us. Any other concerns you have?"

"Not… at the moment."

"Good!"

Daniel kissed his partner on the cheek, smiling at the boyfriend who deeply cares about him, "Thank you… for caring about me."

"Always…" He returned the kiss, grabbing the basket once more to leave. He turned to his partner one final time, giving him a suggestive wink, more so as a joke "The offer still stands though…"

Daniel blushed, the confidence hitting his right spot, "Betrayer…" He returned to his task as Killua laughed at his reaction.

As the boy opened the door, leaving their room to do the laundry. He managed to close the door, just as his eyes spotted a figure walking towards him. He was in no danger, he was just surprised to see Luca, without Eifion.

It was going to be hard talking to someone, who couldn't talk at all "Ah, hey…" He reacted in confusion. Luca passed him an envelope and note. He put the envelope in his pocket before reading the note, "I'm sorry…" Killua raised an eyebrow, "We-"

Luca rolled his wrist, suggesting he reads the rest of the note.

The boy looked back down in response.

I'm sorry…

I'm sorry I was unable to help you back then, that we were too slow to arrive. With Eifion's help, I was able to track down one of the names on the list. I wrote done the details in that envelope. It's not much to go by, but at least you'll be able to head somewhere with an intention.

I hope you'll be safe on this journey, and no matter what you can call us for help, well Eifion, I'd be no help over the phone.

Killua looked up with a smile, "Thank you… this will brighten up Daniel's day. Actually, speaking of help… you wouldn't happen to know someone who could help me with a small issue?"

Luca grabbed the paper pulling out a clicky pen to write on the back of the paper he had just handed Killua.

Sure, what you need?

"Would you happen to know someone who could make it impossible for someone else to track Alluka? My family will be after her, once they realise Victor is on our trail. I don't want them to have a way to track her through her phone, considering one of my older brothers is a skilled hacker."

Luca thought about it before writing his reply. There was only one clear answer to the question, Eifion might have a way to reach them… if not, Nathaniel would be a safe bet.

Yes, Annex Symus, he's a skilled hacker. If Eifion doesn't have his contact details, Nathaniel Darkscryer would.

"Thank you, that means a lot to us."

Luca hugged the boy, it was short and meaningful, one of the few ways he was able to express his feelings. Pulling away, he ruffled the boy's hair with a smile, making sure to give the boy a farewell wave.

Vastorie was most likely aware of what he and Eifion had done for his son. Hopefully… the man wouldn't interfere with that. Daniel deserved some freedom, some help, even if his father refused to step in and help guide his son.

Killua watched the man leave, his eyes falling on his pocket. Pulling out the envelope, he checked it for clues. It had their name on it, but it was sealed. When he gets back, he'll hand it over to his partner, to see where their next location would be.

"~"

Daniel ripped the letter through the seam, taking note of the three tickets. They were issued for tomorrow night's flight, a one-way flight to the Kukan'yu Kingdom. Putting them on the table, he pulled out another note, a map to a town, and the name of the person they'll be visiting next…

Mikkel Clausen…

Daniel checked the map, the name of the town was Evlarbridge, it's where they'll need to search for Mikkel. Whatever information he can provide about his father, wouldn't be his main goal at this point… not after what Vastorie did for him.

What he needs from this person, is skills or items… guidance on what he should do next. Whatever way he has been helping his father, he needed that information too.

He was glad Luca went out of his way to hand it over to them. It was a start they needed.

Daniel hugged Killua, thankful for the information, which in return, made Killua smile in response. There were so many things the boy could say to his partner, but there are only a few words that would suit the scenario "We'll be okay…"

Daniel offered a silent nod. They had a goal, a place to go now. They just had to make sure, that they'll be safe on the way to their new destination.

"~"

Today was their final day, they believed they'll be leaving without a hitch. But fate was a cruel mistress, waiting for them. Seeing Vastorie waiting for them was fucked up. Why would he even bother helping them now?

Was he expecting them not to leave? Him, waiting at the courtyard near the front gate, could be for two reasons.

The first being, he wanted to make sure they leave…

The second being, his guilty conscience finally got the better of him. That he was willing to rescind the command he set upon them. There was no way he's going to be willing to help them, not this late in the game.

Vastorie frowned when the boys were starting to walk away from him, "I came to offer you, assistance."

Daniel stopped, eyes glowing with rage as he turned to face his father, "Oh… now you have a change of heart… when it doesn't matter. Why weren't you willing to do that in front of the teachers?! Answer me…"

"There may be a spy among them."

Daniel's fists clenched tightly, frustrated, "That shouldn't matter… I'm…" He turned away, letting out a long, tired breath, "I'm nothing to you."

Vastorie didn't respond, stead, he poked the boy with an envelope, "These are tickets to the Federation of Ochima. You are to speak to a man named Marwin Ratzenberger, he'll-"

Daniel grabbed the offering, throwing it onto the floor in a fit of anger, before stopping on it, "We don't need your help. We'll be seeing Mikkel, then we'll figure out where to go from there."

Vastorie shot his son a glare, "Grow up…"

"No!" The boy shoved a finger into his father's chest, "you grow up! I'm sick and tired of being told I'm a mistake… that I've made a mistake. I'll keep making them, then learn from them. It's what I do best…" He rests a hand against his hip, "Am I right?"

"You can't learn if you die…"

"At least I'll be one less problem for you to deal with."

Vastorie bit back his frustration. His son finally snapped; broken from the treatment he had been receiving from him. There was only one person who could appeal to him. He knew this would be a low blow, but at least it'll get him to think clearly, "How do you think Nathaniel will feel hearing that?"

Daniel grew quiet, taking the words to heart.

Picking up the envelope, he held it out to his son, "Don't make this mistake… I promise you'll be in safe hands with this guy."

Killua shook his head, "We don't need help from you… Not now… Not ever…" He held his partner's hand, letting him know they should leave while they still can. Vastorie was forcing them to follow his path, the path that will leave his partner feeling depressed if he continued down it.

"If only you knew…"

Daniel shook his head, "If only you'll tell us." He turned away, once more walking towards the exit. He thought he escaped the worst of the situation, that rejecting Vastorie would make him feel relieved. But all he felt was raw on the inside.

Creating distance from his father meant he'll have an easier time recovering.

"Wait!" Daniel stopped, turning his head in time to see his father get bitch slapped, the whack echoing louder than it should of, given where they were. If he were being honest, had that been Eifion or Luca here, telling his father to fuck off, this situation would've made him feel better.

Instead, what he got, was a single girl trying to stop them from leaving.

He remained quiet, Madelyn standing before them, panting heavily. She took a deep breath before speaking, "You can't leave… I still need you."

Daniel smiled at the girl, "No, you don't… you got the guy you just slapped. He's the best at possibly training you… he could guarantee that-"

"I don't want him… I want you… I want the two of you to keep training me!" Her words made Daniel fall silent, listening to what she had to say "I heard what happened… you didn't deserve that. You didn't deserve to be treated as outcasts. You… you were the first one to treat me, like how I needed to be treated. I needed that snap back to reality, to be reminded that the guy best for the job, is not always the best for the situation. I still have much to learn, please… stay."

"We can't…" Killua offered a smile, "We're being kicked out."

"Fuck him… his opinion was shit anyways."

Vastorie has never felt so offended in his life. The three kids were dissing him without a single care in the world, and he was standing there like an idiot, taking all those insults. He was even bitch slapped by one of them.

"You don't understand…" Killua uttered quietly, "everyone already knows who I am."

"They don't understand you either… they should learn."

Killua snickered, "Telling people not to be scared of a-" His eyes snapped in another direction, noticing a quick blur hide in the background. Someone was watching them, or him… intensely.

"Scared of what?" Madelyn pouted, "they're little bitches anyway."

Killua waved his hand, dismissing the conversation. Leaning forward, he whispered into Daniel's ear "Somebody is watching us. I'll see what they want. You talk with Madelyn and continue to deal with Vastorie."

Daniel gave a nod, "Sure…"

The boy gave his partner a peck on the cheek, not caring that Madelyn had seen everything. Today was their last day, she won't have to deal with them any longer than she holds the conversation. Turning to Alluka, he whispered something to her, "Protect Daniel."

"I will, big brother." Ruffling her hair, he disappeared before anyone can stop him.

Madelyn looked around in confusion, "Why did he run?"

"Something came up… As Killua said." He pointed at his father, "He made our life difficult here. Killua is being treated like a monster… most of the teachers are afraid of us… my partner, mostly… of an enigma, chasing after us."

"But none of those things matter…" Madelyn pleaded, "You still have people who want to be friends with you… people that need your help. You promised you'd train Clarisa… that you'll teach her Nen, is that a false promise?"

Daniel looked away, "Some promises get broken by things, way out of our control."

"Well, your father is an asshole…"

The man in response held up his hand awkwardly, given that he's not even five feet away from the people insulting him "I'm right here…"

Clarisa turned to the man, "You're an asshole. You can't change my mind after what you did to your son… My…" She pouted as she whispered the next part under her breath, "My friend."

Vastorie may have heard it, but his son, definitely… didn't hear it. Crossing his arms, he spoke calmly, "Sometimes, adults have to make bad decisions…" He turned to his son, "sometimes, you have to hurt the people you care about, in order, to protect them." As he walked away, he made one final comment, "When you become an adult, you'll be forced to make these choices as well."

Daniel clenched his teeth, saying it loud enough to mainly himself, "I won't put myself in such a position… It's not like you cared about us anyways. I'll never become an adult like you." Crossing his arms, he turned to the girl, "Killua is right though. Whether my father wants to be an asshole about the situation or not, the truth is we won't be welcome on this school grounds while Victor is out there."

"The one you warned us about…"

Daniel quirked an eyebrow, "It's possible… that we warned you about him… The problem is, his ability has, unfortunately, wiped our memory of him. So we don't remember if we uttered his name to you…"

"That's… cruel… So, if you meet him again…?"

"We're as good as dead if we don't see him coming."

"AND your father is sending you out there… I… Clarisa doesn't want to lose you as a friend, you've left an impact on her life. And- And- mine…"

"We'll promise to stay safe…" The boy smiled "Also, we'll make a deal. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to message us. We'll gladly help you, whether that be as teachers… or…" Daniel held out a hand to the girl, "as a friend."

She took the boy's hand, shaking on the deal, "This is a promise you're not allowed to break."

Daniel snorted, "I'm not like my dad. This is a promise I intend to keep."

Alluka finally piped up, taking hold of the girl's hands, "Please tell Kiel I plan to keep in contact with him as well. That… I'm sorry we won't be able to play games together anymore."

Madelyn squeezed the girl's hand back, "I'll tell him that… I'm sure he'll appreciate your sentiment…"

"~"

Isaac's head turned around the corner, eyes falling on Daniel and Madelyn talking, expecting to see Kyle, or if the boy had truly been living a lie, Killua, to be standing beside them.

What he instead saw was the boy he'd been wanting to talk to, or really, afraid to talk to nowhere in sight. Eyes darted around, looking for the boy.

Killua made his presence noticed, "Yes?"

"ARGH?!" Isaac turned around, screaming from being scared half to death. He hadn't expected him to be so close to him, without him realising it "K- Kyle…"

Killua frowned, "Yeah? You clearly… wanted to talk to me, so talk."

"I…" Isaac looked down at the floor, "I didn't know how to approach you… If… I was allowed to approach you. I heard about you being expelled."

"Yeah…" Killua didn't say much on the matter. It was out of their control. Vastorie had the teachers in his pocket, wielding them like a sword to cut them from the school, "can't do much here."

"Why…?"

"What're the rumours saying?"

"You… you tried to hurt a teacher… that you're an evil monster…"

"Do you believe them…?" Killua gave the boy an inquisitive glance over. He was interested to know the boy's thought process, what he sees in him.

"N- NO! It's not true… it's bullshit."

Killua felt himself smile, he was glad someone felt like that, but Isaac doesn't know his true history… what he's done in the past. Sure, the past is the past for a reason, but he's still capable, of said actions. If he was put in the right mindset, he wouldn't hesitate "You don't know-"

"But I do know! You're kind-hearted, you care about those closest to you. I'm so sorry… I'm sorry for not thinking about your feelings. I'm… I'm sorry for hurting you."

Killua felt confused, "You couldn't hurt me." What could Isaac have done to hurt him? There's nothing he could do to, unless… No, it's couldn't have been, "Unless, were you the one that drugged-"

"I was…" Isaac's eyes fell to the ground, "I was the one that drugged you. B- But I wasn't trying to drug you… I was trying to drug Daniel, to make him… I don't know…"

Killua's gaze darkened, looking down at Isaac who refused to look from the ground. This was the guy that tried to drug Daniel, to make him vocal and open about his feelings. Had it been him that was drugged, who knows what his reaction would've been… for him, he turned into a needy, sex-crazed boyfriend. But for Daniel… he wasn't too sure.

But one thing was for certain, if it was Isaac was apologising for hurt him and not his partner, it meant he had a goal in mind… the question was what? He felt his hand reaching out, only to immediately stop. No, he wouldn't be like that…

He knows the rules of the school, that if Isaac or any student got hurt… or was going to be harmed, he would've been kicked from the school.

"I wanted to get you to see he wasn't good for you, that he didn't have your best interests in heart." The boy froze when his eyes met Kyle's.

They radiated danger.

Killua couldn't afford to be kicked, not now… not when they're so close to leaving on their own accord. But that doesn't mean Isaac will get away scot-free, he'll scare the boy a little, make him learn that his mistakes have huge consequences "You did, what…?"

Killua quickly looked away, calming his breath. He let out a long and slow breath before turning back to the boy to give him a sweet and endearing smile, his hand reaching out to gently touching the boy's chin, "I'm sorry…" His expression softened, "He's… important to me. But you're right, maybe I should listen to you. You did, after all, say you learned from your mistakes, right…?"

Killua leaned forward, their lips almost accidentally touching in the process, "Be honest with me now… if… Humour me for a second. If Daniel was the one who drank it, blurting out things that ultimately, made me break up with him… What would you have done?"

The boy broke out into a blush "I- I-"

Killua interrupted the boy, "Obviously, you'd take over everything, right?" His eyes looked deep into the boy's eyes, looking for a clearer response. He wanted the truth, the truth being Isaac wanted to replace Daniel, "You'll kiss me… hug me… ravage my body… let me ravage you…"

He made his intentions much clearer "let me fuck you till you're screaming my name, am I right?"

"I would! If it makes you happy Kyle!"

Killua looked at the boy with disgust, pushing him into the wall. His hand found purchase within the brick wall, leaving claw markings within the wall like a wild beast leaving their territorial mark, "You don't know who I am… Daniel does… I'm not Kyle… He knows the real me… what I'm capable of…"

"I want to know too-"

"You don't… no one would stay by my side if they did. He's an idiot… an idiot that fell for me. An idiot I love… and you tried to drug him. You couldn't replace him… especially if you knew who I really, was…"

"I-"

"Killua Zolyck… My name is Killua Zoldyck…" The boy's eyes looked into widening ones, "Yes, that Zoldyck… The rumours that spread about my name, the one that made others too scared to approach me." Killua reaffirmed the fear in his eyes, "Those were real… I belong to a family of assassins, trained from birth to kill without remorse." Killua heard the undeniable sound, the sound of someone pissing themselves in fear.

"Kyle!"

Killua turned around, finding Eifion standing there, angry at him. The boy pulled back, allowing Isaac to drop to the floor, sitting in the puddle of his own, creation, "You knew about this…? About him trying to drug Daniel… and you didn't tell us?!"

"I did Kyle-"

"He knows my real name… everyone in this school knows it, no thanks to Vastorie! So, there's no point hiding it." Killua shrugged, uncaring about the position he was in. He'd never physically hurt someone, not unless they tried to physically hurt Daniel or Alluka in front of him.

All he wanted to do was scare Isaac, he achieved that goal.

"Have you no remorse?!" Eifion interrupted the boy's thoughts, "He said he apologised!"

Everything that had built up to that moment came crashing down. They had been left in the dark for far too many things. Had he have known Isaac tried to drug Daniel, he would've never approached the boy in the first place.

He'll have ignored him, just like the boy ignored his feelings… how he tried to replace his partner, with himself.

"You can't say shit!" He yelled in frustration, the tears finally escaping from the cracking wall. He watched his partner break down so many times. He had been brought to the brink because someone tried to take Daniel away from him again. He's scared, scared of Victor being out there… scared of him taking away the one he's deeply in love with.

They both feared that fact. But the true fear is, during the time Daniel had lost his memories of him… Victor was there, in the background, watching them. To make matters worse, he learned that Victor was the sole reason, his partner had lost his memories of him.

He didn't want to go through that again, but the possibility was very real, especially if they were out there, out of the protection of the Nen ring that stopped the man from getting close to them. "Where were you when Daniel needed you the most?! Daniel needs this school… we both do, honestly… not to be out there, with that man threatening his life. I'll never apologise for what I did now…"

The boy pointed at the scared boy, "He's learnt the truth, that what he felt for me, was nothing more than puppy love… He probably thought I was pretty and nice… therefore I could do no wrong. Besides, he should learn that not everything is puppies and rainbows…"

Turning back to the man, he made his intentions clear "Whether we like it or not, we're leaving this school. That peace will be gone…" He walked away, past Eifion.

Eifion grabbed the boy's arm, forcing him to stay, even if it was a second longer "I wanted the three of you to stay… Luca as well… You deserve peace, not for Daniel's father to take that away from you three. You deserve better… That's why Luca and I gave you those tickets… that map to Mikkel Clausen! If there's anyone who could help you defend yourself… it's this man."

Killua turned his head slightly, in the direction of the man, "I know… but that still doesn't make us any less scared of the situation."

Eifion gave a nod of understanding, "I know… but, that man is known for his blacksmithing skills. If anyone could make you two a weapon, he can." He let go of Killua, "I know I can't get you to apologise to Isaac… I understand your frustration on the matter, including our interference not completely satiating those fears the two of you have. But we tried… we really, tried to get you to stay in the school. Vastorie is a… and I wouldn't normally say this about the man… about anyone if I'm being honest… but, he's an asshole, a fucken… complete, and utter asshole for getting you kicked."

Killua found himself smiling, "That means a lot, more if you'd have said that to Daniel, not me. But the damage is done…" He found himself frowning, "We won't be safe while Victor is out there."

Eifion brought himself down to Killua's height, "Luca passed your message along." He held out a piece of paper, "I know it's not much, but this guy can help you with your issues involving Alluka… maybe he could also help you with your dilemma involving Victor. You just need to pique his interest."

Killua unfolded the piece of paper, a number with the name Annex Symus written down. He found himself hugging Eifion, "Thank you…" a blacksmith may be able to help them with weapons, but this guy may be able to help keep them untraceable for the time being.

Eifion found himself hugging the boy back, "Can you tell me one thing though…"

"Sure…"

"I want to know how you avoided being kicked? How you didn't show malicious intent…"

Killua pulled away from the man, standing up with a sincere smile "Because… he doesn't deserve to die. No one does…" He walked away, getting a few steps in before turning to smile at the man, showing off his more sinister side "until they try to hurt those I care about."

When the boy left, Eifion pulled out his phone, calling Vastorie. When the man picked up, Eifion kept the conversation on the topic "I want you to know, that what you did is inexcusable. But if there's one thing I learnt from this exchange, there are more issues with this protection. Killua was able to avoid being kicked because he showed no signs of bloodlust… no rage… Annex needs to make some further changes."

"~"

Eifion then hung up before the man could say anything. He didn't want to talk to him, not for a while. Instead, he turned his attention to the boy still shaking in a now cold puddle of urine. He helped the boy up, "Let's get you cleaned up and changed."

Isaac grabbed the man's arm, "I… I was so scared… I thought he was going to kill me. He's… He's pure evil!"

Eifion shook his head, "No… he just cares about those he loves. Some will kill for the ones they love… Considering who overshadows their life… I wouldn't be surprised if he does kill someone. Isaac…" The man kneeled before the boy, "Protecting the ones we love the most, maybe the hardest thing we'll ever need to do. If you do find that someone, that one that makes you feel special… you too, might want to fight tooth and nail for them. If Killua wasn't from a family of assassins, wouldn't you fight tooth and nail for him?"

"I…" The boy fell silent, now unsure of himself.

Eifion held a hand against the boy's hair, "I know you would… because you will be strong one day, the reason Daniel isn't scared like you feel now…" He turned in the direction the boy left, "because he knows something we don't… he sees something in Killua we don't…"

Isaac shook his head, "What… what could possibly, not make him afraid to be around a killer… an… an assassin?"

Eifion shook his head, "I don't know… I can't answer it, like, he could. But if I must assume, it's because of what Killua said. It's because Daniel loves him, despite his flaws…"

A\N: Whoo it's the final chapter of the school Arc. The next one will be about Daniel and Killua learning the truth, about what Vastorie has done for them behind the scenes. It'll also be about Daniel remaking Wolfbane, so be excited about that. Don't know what to call the arc though lolz.
