Chapter 96
"You know mom, with the name of Rip, you would think this dog would sleep more."
"Well, Henry. He does sleep a lot."
"Yeah, but he's pretty active too. Do you think we can get a dog?"
Abagail shook her head. She knew this was going to happen when Jack asked Henry if he would dog sit for them while they were gone. She wasn't opposed to dogs. She just didn't want the responsibility of having a dog. Her and Frank's schedules could change at any moment, and she enjoyed not having to get someone to watch the dog if they had to stay late at work or if Frank had to make a hospital trip or something.
"Maybe. I bet Jack will let you go and play with him all you want." She was hoping this would curb his desire for a dog.
"I hope so. Hey, do you think Emily can come over today and maybe we can go get ice cream or something?"
"Sure. Why not?"
…
Jack stepped out of the bathroom from his shower when his phone buzzed. "Hey beautiful, you're up early."
Elizabeth paused for a moment when Jack answered the skype call without a shirt on. She still didn't know how he had that effect on her after all they have shared, but he did. "I am. The peanuts woke me up." She stated with a sad face.
Jack laughed at her expression. "Well, Ig and Iggy can do something I never could."
"Yeah, what's that?"
"They have made you a morning person."
"Oh…I don't know if I would say that exactly."
They spent fifteen minutes talking as Jack got ready for the whole day of seminars. He shared his thoughts about last nights conferences and how thankful he was for Bill. He knew today would be a little more challenging, but he was looking forward to it. She shared her plans of going with her mother and visiting some distant family she hasn't seen in a long time. When Jack joined her at her parent's home, she wanted to show him around her hometown. She also wanted to take him to her favorite hang out places.
When Jack began his walk toward the elevator, he told Elizabeth he loved her and missed her. He told her he would call during his lunch time. After several declarations of love, they finally ended the call.
…
Julie stuck her head into the bedroom and smiled at her sleeping husband. He had to work over last night on an order that was rushed. He was late getting in the house and went straight to bed without eating. They had plans on meeting Adam and Charlette for breakfast, but Julie called and changed it to a brunch. Tom did have to work today, but she knew he didn't have to go in until noon. She didn't want to wake him up because she knew he was exhausted, but she needed him to start moving or they were going to be late.
She leaned over and move a tuck of hair out of his eyes. "Tom…Tom…it's time to wake up."
He moaned but didn't move.
"Tom, sweetheart. It's time for you to wake up."
He moaned again and said something she couldn't understand. She leaned closer to his lips so she could hear him better.
When he began to whisper again, he quickly grabbed her and pulled her into bed with him. She let out a loud scream and began to squirm to get away. He had scared her.
"Tom, what are you…"
When his lips crashed on hers, he interrupted her rant. He kissed her passionately and after the shock of his move, she passionately kissed him back. There was no lack of love on their part. When he broke the kiss for air, he took in a deep breath to fill his lungs.
"Tom! She exclaimed."
"Julie, I have missed you."
"Me too. Now we need to get ready so we can meet your mother and Adam in a little bit."
He nodded but she knew the look in his eyes. He quickly moved himself so he was hovering over her. "We have a few minutes."
"No, we…"
He ended her sentence early with another passionate kiss. She lost account of what she was supposed to be doing She was lost in this loving man.
…
"Hey Frank, do you have a minute?"
"I do. What's up, sweetheart?"
"I'm really concerned with Henry and Emily."
Frank shook his head. Under his breath, "Not this again…" He really thought his precious wife was getting a little too consumed with this little relationship.
"I'm sorry, dear. Did you say something?"
Frank squared his shoulders. "Yes, I believe you are being way too consumed with Henry's relationship with Emily."
"So, you admit it's a relationship?"
"Abagail, I have always called it a relationship. As much as sixth graders can have a relationship. They enjoy each other's company, and they have a good time together. What's the problem? They don't spend every day together."
"I know, but…"
"Abagail, I warned you about this before and you got into a little bit of trouble."
"Yes, but"
"No buts sweetheart. Calm down and quit being such a mother." He sassed with a grin. "Abagail, you're pushing something here that just isn't there. Yes, they hang out together. They enjoy each other's company, but have you seen them do anything inappropriate?"
She shook her head no.
"We keep an eye on them, but we also allow them time together as long as they earn that right."
Abagail knew he was right, but her mother instincts was strong.
"There will be plenty of battles as he becomes a teenager. There is no need to borrow from those battles."
"Fine. I'll back off."
Frank gave her a knowing look. She would often say that but like last time, there were times she couldn't help herself.
"I promise. You are right, they are good together and they haven't done anything inappropriate. However, I do believe he is further in this than he is admitting."
"What makes you say that?"
"Well," She smirked. "It's a mother's instinct. I know my boy."
"You may be right, but they are not getting married tomorrow."
"No, not tomorrow. However, I will say they will at some point."
Frank thought about it for a few minutes. "You know…she is a nice young lady. I don't think I will have a problem with it if they continue to mature like they are."
Abagail thought about it for a few minutes. "I agree. She is a nice young lady and she has a great sense of humor."
"So." Frank began as he walked to his wife and placed his hands on her hips. "We let them hang out and get to know each other while we get to know her, and her parents get to know Henry. And when the next step happens, we adjust to whatever that step is."
"Fine…you know you get this little sparkle in the corner of your eyes when you are right."
"Well, that must be why I have a sparkling personality because I'm usually right." He sassed with a playful grin.
"Don't get too prideful now, preacher man." She smirked.
"Too late." He stated as he tilted his head and kissed her gently on her cheek.
…
Frank and Abagail didn't know that Henry heard everything that was said. He was grateful his parents loved him, but his mom's over protectiveness was a little too much at times. In his little boy's heart, he knew he loved Emily. He just wasn't exactly sure what that all meant. He loved spending time with her, but he also loved spending time with his friends. With Emily, it was just a little different. They didn't talk every day, but they did see each other often.
With Jack and Bill's tip of one hundred dollars, he had purchased the necklace he purchased for her. He was having trouble holding onto it for her birthday. He wanted to give it to her now. He knew she would like it.
The last time they were at her house playing video games, he wanted to hold her hand as they ate their snack. While they did brush their hands against each other, he was a little too afraid to reach for her hand. He's never been that nervous, even playing baseball. He didn't understand how Emily made him so nervous. He knew he couldn't talk to his mom about this. Maybe he needs to talk to his dad. He also knew he wouldn't hold Emily's hand in front of his mom. That is if Emily lets him hold her hand. He shook his head at all the confusion in his mind. "No wonder men are confused all the time." He whispered.
…
The last seminar before lunch was discussing the concept of tracking criminals who was difficult to find. With everything concerning Miranda, this class caught Jack's attention. There were a few good theories that he liked, but none of the recommendations involved finding someone who left behind no evidence.
"Sir," Jack asked when the question and answer portion of the seminar began. "How would these techniques work if there is on evidence left behind by the suspect?"
"What do you mean, no evidence? There is always evidence left behind, no one is that good." The instructor stated with an air of authority.
Jack retold the whole story involving Miranda. He left nothing out. Their meeting in the barn where she didn't leave a finger print to the tire tracks from the car that left. The tire was one of the most common sizes and brands, so that information went nowhere. To her knowledge of Jack and his family. He also told of her attending the news conference at the police station. There wasn't even a photo taken of her there. In Jack's opinion, she was a ghost, a mystery.
"Have you taken this to the investigator's office? They're pretty good at his."
"Yes, sir. They are very good, but Superintendent Johnson came up with nothing."
"Wait, you spoke with Superintendent Johnson?" The instructor asked shocked that this young guy would be able to speak with the superintendent.
"Yes, sir, he was my boss."
"Your boss…wait…are you Jack…uh…Jack…"
"Thorton, sir. My name is Jack Thorton."
"You're Jack Thorton…" The instructor barely spoke loud enough for the class to hear. The instructor has heard many good things about this young man. His reputation preceded him within the law enforcement community.
At the mention of Jack's name, a few students knew the name and they turned to look at this superstar in the police world. While Jack was a shining star, he really did not know it. He just kept his head down and worked hard at his job. He didn't even know he had a reputation.
"Yes, sir. I'm Jack. So, any advice on finding my ghost?"
When the class was supposed to end for lunch, no one left the discussion that was ongoing in the seminar. Along with the instructor, many of the other chiefs added their voice to the conversation. There were many thoughts that was expressed but none lead to a solution to the problem.
"My wife, Elizabeth, told me that Miranda was not a common criminal, and I will not be able to catch her with common techniques."
"That's an interesting thought." Mentioned the instructor. "Is she in law enforcement too?"
"No, she's a school teacher." Said a proud Jack.
"Maybe she should change professions." Laughed the instructor. "She may be correct with that. We have been talking about this long after the session ended, and we still haven't figured anything out."
With Elizabeth's thought included into the conversation now, no one was going to leave the discussion. It brought about several new ideas that Jack was interested in and he began taking notes.
"Well, to be perfectly honest, there are criminals who are smart enough that they won't be caught until they make a mistake. My experience is that they will always make a mistake at some point. You may have to be patient and wait for that moment."
After another five minutes of conversation flew by, the instructor noticed that the next seminar was to begin in ten minutes. The group couldn't skip that one.
"So, since we missed lunch and we must go to the next seminar, I have one question for you Jack.
Jack nodded his head for the instructor to ask his question.
"How did you come up with that tablecloth trick to catch the Toliver Gang?"
Jack shook his head in disbelief. He knew he will always be asked that question. "I'm never going to get past this am I?" He laughed.
…
Emily's mom dropped her off at the Hogan's house just before four. She was supposed to be there at five, but she was driving her mom crazy asking her if it was time yet. With a quick kiss, Emily jumped out of the car and ran up the sidewalk to the front door. Henry already had the door open waiting for her with a big smile.
"Are you ready to lose at some video games?" Henry asked as she stepped up on the porch.
"Oh…I didn't know anyone else was coming." Sassed Emily.
"Very funny Em…very funny."
"You know Henry, I haven't lost to you yet, not even once."
"Oh, I know. You remind me all the time. I'll beat you one day." He stated confidently.
"Maybe…but not today." She sassed as she playfully hit him on the arm.
After grabbing a couple of sodas and some cookies, they ran to his room. They took a couple of minutes to eat their snack before beginning the video games. Henry was excited to give her the necklace, it wasn't her birthday yet, but he didn't understand why he had to wait to give her a present he already had for her. It didn't make sense to him. The present was there, and he wanted to give it to her, so why wait?
"Emily, I have your birthday present now, may I give it to you?"
"Henry, it's not my birthday."
"I know. It's this Saturday. But I have it already and I really would like for you to have it now."
"Are you always this impatient?" She laughed.
"Not really, I don't think. I just have your gift and I don't see why I must wait to give it to you, but I'll wait until Saturday."
"No! I didn't say that." Emily blushed. "You can go ahead and give it to me now if you want."
Henry leaned back and took a small, wrapped box from under his bed.
"Thank you." Emily stated as she took the box from him and began to open it.
"Oh…Henry! It's perfect." She stated as she began to cry. "It's the one we saw the other day."
"Yes, it is. Don't you like it?"
"I love it."
"Then why are you crying?"
"Are all boys so clueless?" She smiled through her tears at his confused look. "Sometimes girls cry when they are sad. Sometimes they cry when they are happy. Sometimes they cry for no reason at all."
"No wonder we are clueless all the time."
"Hush Henry. Now, would you please put it on me?"
"Sure." He took the necklace from Emily and looked at it for a few moments. "Em, how do you do this? I've never worn a necklace before."
"Good grief, Henry. Use your finger to pull the clasp back and place it around my neck. Then place the loop back in the clasp."
"Oh…sorry." He sheepishly said.
After placing the necklace around her neck, she kept running her fingers over it. In her opinion, it was beautiful and perfect. After she said thank you, they both jumped when his bedroom door opened quickly and without a knock.
"Hello, Mrs. Hogan." Emily stated to Abagail as she stood in the middle of the doorway.
"Hello, Emily."
After a few seconds of looking at each other, Henry told his mom that they were going to play video games. As Abagail turned to leave, she made a point of pushing the door further open to quietly emphasize the point of it staying open.
"Sorry about that." Henry said.
"Don't worry. My mom is the same way. I guess it's a mom thing."
…
Elizabeth reached into her pocket to pull out her vibrating phone. She smiled when she saw the picture of Jack holding both pictures of their babies.
J – Sorry I didn't call. Last seminar ran all the way through lunch and heading into the next one now. I'll call later when I can
E – That's fine
E – I miss you
J – 831
Grace smiled at her daughter's reaction to reading Jack's texts. "Do you always do that?"
"Do what?" An embarrassed Elizabeth blushed.
Grace just looked at her like a mother looks at her child when she already knew the answer.
"Yes."
Grace pulled into her sister's driveway and Elizabeth smiled. Auntie Agatha was her favorite aunt. Elizabeth hasn't seen her since she left home for Hope Valley about four years ago.
As they stepped out of the car, Agatha opened the door and stepped out on the massive front porch. Agatha's smile only grew when she noticed Elizabeth's baby belly. Agatha's hand went to her mouth and said as Elizabeth stepped on the front porch. "Oh, Elizabeth…you are absolutely glowing!"
"Thank you, Auntie Agatha."
"Grace why didn't you say anything?"
"Elizabeth wanted to be the one who told you."
"Oh my goodness…" Agatha was at a loss for words, and she was never one for a loss of words.
"May we sit?" Asked Grace. She new Elizabeth was tired from all the walking from the day before.
Agatha was so excited about Elizabeth's pregnancy that she couldn't stand it. She was even more excited when she heard that she was expecting twins.
"How are you doing? May I get you anything?"
"I'm fine Auntie Agatha. Morning sickness has basically stopped except for every once in a while. The babies are doing fine and so am I."
"That's great dear."
They spent the next hour and a half just catching up on their lives. Elizabeth loved her Auntie Agatha. As a child, she would always visit for a few days. Her aunt had a huge library and Elizabeth would spend hours in it just reading.
"Elizabeth, do you know if you are having boys or girls? Or maybe one of each?"
Elizabeth smiled as if someone who knew the truth but was keeping secrets. She loved the fact that only her and Jack knew the answer to that question. Their lives were an open book for the most part. They had little secrets to themselves. She was grateful they had this little secret. However she was becoming to feel guilty about sharing the news with the young men from the football team. She decided she needed to share that information with Jack.
She didn't mind making the bet, she just hated the fact that she lost. Elizabeth was a little competitive. She also loved getting one over on Jack.
"Oh, that little stinker knows, they just not saying anything."
"Why not?"
"They just want to torment the rest of us." Smirked Grace.
"No mother. Jack and I like the idea of us just knowing everything at the moment. I promise we will tell when we are ready."
…
Henry sighed again when he looked up and saw his mom walk very slowly down the hallway for the sixth time in the last thirty minutes or so. If she was trying to be sneaky, she was the worst at it. Emily offered him a knowing smile, but he was getting a little frustrated with his mother.
With all her might, she just couldn't stop herself. Abagail knew she was overreacting, but her mother's instinct was in full mama bear mode. Each time she walked by Henry's room, nothing was inappropriate. They were sitting playing video games sitting beside each other. Even with that knowledge, her mind just wouldn't settle.
"Hey, Em, would you like to go fishing or play around the Thorton's pond if I can talk my dad into taking us?"
"Sure."
As they walked into the living room, they noticed Frank and Abagail sitting on the couch with Rip laying on the floor beside them. Abagail had just sat down from her latest trip down the hallway. Henry sat on the floor in front of the chair where Emily sat down.
"Dad, would you mind taking us fishing at the Thorton's pond? We could maybe fish and walk around. We could even take Rip and let him run and play."
"Oh…that sounds like fun. I haven't been yet." Abagail said sitting up.
Frank looked at his son and saw the look on his face. Frank knew his wife was being a little too overbearing. "Emily, let me call your parents and make sure it is ok with them. They were expecting you to be here. If they are ok with us going, I will take you."
"Thank you, Pastor Hogan." Emily and Henry jumped up and ran to the kitchen to get a drink.
Abagail looked annoyed at her husband. She was a little surprised that her husband returned her look.
"Am I not invited?"
"I don't think so. Let me call Emily's parents to see if it is ok with them and then we will talk."
Frank was not interested in having this conversation with his wife, but they needed to discuss her behavior.
After leaving Henry's room and informing the two that they will be leaving in fifteen minutes, Frank found Abagail leaning against the counter in the kitchen.
"Ok, sweetheart. I believe we need to talk about your behavior when it comes to Emily and Henry."
Abagail huffed. "I have a behavior with Henry and Emily?"
"Absolutely. Now…"
"Frank…I don't have a problem with Emily. She is a sweet young lady. I have no issue with them spending time together."
"No, you don't. However, you do have a problem with them together."
"What do you mean?"
"How many times did you walk past his room in the last half hour when they were playing in his room?"
"I don't know…maybe three times…" She pondered.
"Six…you walked down the hallway six different times. What do you think they were doing?"
"I don't know…" She trailed off.
"Sweetheart, you really have to dial it back with those two or you will create a little bit of an issue here with Henry."
Again, Abagail huffed.
"I'm getting the kids and going to the Thorton pond. We'll be back in a couple of hours."
Frank gathered a few snacks and drinks then getting the kids ready to go. Abagail's feelings were a little hurt that Henry didn't want her to go.
…
Elizabeth looked at her phone then excused herself from the conversation she was involved in with her mother and her Auntie Agatha.
"Hey sis. How are you doing?" Elizabeth answered her phone.
"Hey." Abagail stated. "I'm sorry to bother you on your vacation, but do you have a moment to talk?"
Elizabeth could sense the trouble in Abagail's voice. "For you, I have all the moments you need. So, what's up sis?"
"Well, I'm a little frustrated and hurt with Henry and Frank. They went to the pond today."
"Ok…what's the problem. Jack said they could go anytime they wanted to."
"Henry didn't want me to go."
"What? Why? He loves being around you. What happened?"
Abagail opened the flood gates of her emotions. She explained all that happened when Emily first came over. She shared that she may have over done it with the trips down the hallway. She shared how she felt when she realized Henry didn't want her to go to the pond with Frank, Emily, and himself. Elizabeth could tell Abagail's feelings were hurt. When Abagail finally stated how many times she walked down the hallway and looked into Henry's room. Elizabeth laughed at the admission.
"Elizabeth, this isn't funny!"
Elizabeth sat down in Agatha's front porch swing. "Abagail, you need to quit being such an over protective mother."
"Elizabeth, how could you say such a thing?" Abagail huffed.
"By your reaction, I feel I may have underestimated things."
Abagail was silent. So, Elizabeth continued.
"Honestly Abagail, why did you walk down the hallway and check on them so many times in such a short period of time?"
After thinking about it for a moment, she didn't say anything.
"Abagail, you love Henry. Everyone knows that and it is easily seen. However, you may have been taking this to the extreme."
"How so?" Challenged Abigail.
"We'll…six times in thirty minutes is excessive. What were you expecting them to be doing? They are a little too young to worry about them being by themselves, don't you think?"
"Maybe…"
"If they were teenagers, then that would be one thing, but Abagail, have they done anything that causes you concern?"
Abagail was quiet.
"Abagail, what's the problem? They haven't done anything to cause you concern. They havne't held hands and they haven't kissed that you know of. What are you expecting them to do?"
Abagail thought about it for a few moments. She did trust Henry and Emily seems like a lovely young girl. Her problem was that she knew all the things that could go wrong. However, she needed to remember that Henry was not one of those. Plus, he was a little too young. She did have the feeling that Henry liked Emily more than he was admitting too. Abagail sighed. She knew she was being a little too protective, but she didn't realize that she was being that protective.
"I think the problem is mine. I know how this could turn out, but I have to trust my son."
"Yes, Abagail you do. He is a good kid. Emily is a good kid too. Plus, they are kids."
"I know. I do think Henry likes her more than he admits, but that isn't a bad think, is it?"
"No, as long as it's appropriate. Trust your son, Abagail. You are doing a great job. He is a good kid and follows the rules. Emily is the same. I don't think they would do anything stupid. Keep an eye on them, but Abagail, don't hover."
"I know…I know…"
"Now, what's going on in Hope Valley?"
Abagail shared when Rosemary stopped for lunch one day. Abagail admitted that she thought the lady was unique but didn't have an opinion yet. "I think I like her, but she is a little different."
"She was that way as a kid when she began drama. She was always nice, but just different."
…
After three hours, Frank and Henry walked into the door with Rip. The dog immediately walked over to the couch and laid down on his bed. He was exhausted from all the running he did around the pond.
"Did you boys have fun?"
"We did. We caught some fish and enjoyed exploring around the pond. There is also a rock cliff that I can't wait to jump off."
"A rock cliff?" Asked Abagail.
"Yes, it's cool."
Abagail looked at her husband with a look that he knew well.
"Well, I think I will take a shower. Now Henry, you need to shower too to make sure you don't have any ticks on you."
"Sure dad. I just want a snack first."
When Frank left, Abagail took a moment and closed her eyes. She learned this from Elizabeth. She would often close her eyes to recenter herself. Abagail learned this was helpful.
"Henry, may we talk?"
"Sure mom. What's on your mind?"
"I am sorry about earlier. I should not have walked by so many times while you and Emily were in your bedroom playing video games."
"It's ok, mom."
"No, son. It's not. I let my mind run off to places that it shouldn't have and allowed my emotions to take control of my common sense."
"Mom, what were you expecting us to do while we were in my bedroom?"
Abagail stopped at her son's question. She wasn't ready to have this conversation with her sixth grader. She was sure he knew a few things, but she never had this discussion before. She sighed knowing she wasn't getting out of this discussion. She smiled when she noticed Frank standing in the hallway. He had forgotten a towel and was heading to the hallway closet to get one when he heard the question.
"Henry." She began trying to answer the question without answering the question. "I have never done this before, and I am sorry I let my silly ideas take control. I should have known better. I can't promise I will always do everything correctly, but I do promise to always try."
"Mom." He stated as he gave her a hug and held on. "That is all I ask that you will never give up on me."
Abagail held on with every ounce of strength she had. "I will never give up on you! I promise I will always have your back no matter what."
Frank smiled at the scene before him. While his wife may not be perfect, she was an amazing person. When she looked in his direction, she noticed his smile. He mouthed the words, "You're an awesome mother."
…
At the end of the day, Elizabeth called Jack. Jack was laying on the hotel bed trying to relax from his day. It was good, but it was also full of seminars. When he heard his phone chimed with the sound of his babies' heartbeat, his smile grew. He let it go on for a few moments just so he could hear their heartbeats.
When Elizabeth's face appeared on the screen, he sighed.
"I hope that's a good sigh?" Asked Elizabeth.
"It's the best. You are absolutely gorgeous! I miss you!"
She smiled at his compliment. She wasn't used to all of the compliments, but she did love them. "I miss you too. When are you coming back to me?"
"Tomorrow afternoon. I have seminars for half the day and then we will all grab lunch. After that, I will come back to you. I should be there around two or three."
"That's not too bad."
"Yeah, I don't want to eat lunch with them, but it's a good way to connect with the other chiefs. It may be beneficial in the long run."
"I agree, but I do miss you."
"How was your day?"
Elizabeth shared the time with her Auntie Agatha and told Jack they would need to visit her. She also shared the discussion with Abagail. Jack agreed that she is a good mother who is just trying to find her footing in this new season in her life.
"So, what plans do you have for us?"
"What makes you think I have made plans?"
"Sweetheart, I know you." He smirked into the screen.
"Fine…yes, I do. I would like to show you around the town I grew up in. Would that be ok with you?"
"I would love to see the places you grew up."
They told each other about their day and simply enjoyed their time together on the phone. Neither one of them like being away from each other. They didn't understand the pull the other had on them, but they were grateful for it.
"Jack…there is something I need to share with you." Elizabeth hesitated.
"I know, beautiful."
"No, you don't. I haven't said anything yet."
"You don't have too. I know."
She looked up and concentrated on his face. She knew by his facial expression that he knew she spilled the beans on the twins.
"How do you know?" She asked a little surprised but not too surprised.
"I just know. I don't know who you told, but I know you did."
"I did. I told the young men when we were at the pond. One of them said that the kids would love jumping off the rock cliff. I mentioned under my breath that I didn't think my mother's heart would allow my son to jump off. He told me to stop being such a mom. It slipped out without me knowing I did it. I didn't want too and had no intentions on saying anything."
She noticed this look was starting to take over his facial expressions. He wasn't made. He was beginning to have that look she loved and hated.
"That's not a good look on you, husband."
Jack didn't even try to stop himself. His smile only grew. He knew he had won the bet and was looking forward to sharing with her that he had done so.
"So, I guess that means I have to rub your back for a week?"
"Nope, just winning is enough for me." He sassed.
"I think I would rather rub your back for a week." She playfully stated. "They boys promised me they wouldn't say anything to anyone."
"It's fine. You told them days ago and they haven't said anything."
"Jack…how did you know?"
"Well, you are my favorite subject. I know you and pay attention to you. You amaze me and I am interested in everything you do."
"Well, since you put it that way…"
"I love you, Elizabeth."
"I love you, Jack."
