I Got Reincarnated! - Kitsune Chronicles
~Chapter 5~ Being Useful?
Kayo sat in the cell calmly, none of the dwarven guards smelled nasty to her so she assumed they were good people, just doing their jobs in protecting the city gates. Even when they tied her up, she felt that the ropes weren't tight enough to hurt or really hold her, just look like she had been restrained. 'Probably pity, this kind of rope tends to chafe a lot.' She thought as Gobta was also tired up, but he was sleeping threw the whole thing, dead to the world as he was carried like a sack of potatoes into the jail cell.
'Some guide you are. Sleeping at a time like this.' She and Rimuru both thought as they had given their statement of events to the captain of the guard. "Well?" the man called their attention as he looked at the statements the other people had given.
"Um right! Actually, that's all." Rimuru spoke as Kayo was quiet, even if she would be in the most trouble for attacking the men, then again one had grabbed her and threatened to sell her 'brother'.
"Well since you're a Slime, Goblin, and a young fox beastmen, they probably saw you as easy targets." The captain reasoned as he glanced at Kayo who didn't move to remove the ropes around her. "I was only trying to scare them off really...I'm very sorry for all the trouble." Rimuru admitted, not mentioning Kayo's earlier attack on the two men. Not even expecting the little fox child to even have that kind of ability.
"Well, what you said agrees with the witness reports. Just this once I will let your three-" the captain was saying before someone ran in urgently. "Captain! We've got trouble!" "There's an Armorsaurus in the mine!" Another guard informed him and the captain looked shocked.
"What?! Where is the suppression force?"
"There already en route, but Gram and his brothers where deep in the mine gathering magic ore, and they were badly hurt!" The other guard mentioned, Kayo's ear twitched, and she reached out to Rimuru for the first time in 2 days.
'Hey, slime ball. I think this would be a great time to take a short cut. Give them some of your potions. I'm sure we'll find the dwarves we need if the captain of the guard owed us one!' She mentioned and heard the slime chuckle as the barrel he was in shook a little and the blue slime came out of it. 'Way ahead of you fur ball.' He mussed back to her and tried to get the captain's attention, even slipping out of the cell to give him a little poke.
"Sir. Sir." He called out twice before the man turned around to see the slime out of the iron bared jail cell. "Huh? How dare you leave your cell!?" he yelled at the slime who only tried to get his attention. Rimuru had simply slipped out between the bars, there was no magic preventing someone from just slipping threw them, grated the bars where narrow and not meant to keep slimes in.
"Now, now, this isn't the time for that, is it? Look." Rimuru pointed to the bucket he had been in that was now filled near to the brim with his special healing potion. "You need that don't you?"
"What's that?" the captain asked, seeing to be skeptical of the barrel and its contents.
"Healing potion, so you can help your injured brothers. I can give it a taste test if you think it's not." Kayo offered and the captain looked at her a bit surprised.
"Why not give it a try?" Rimuru gently encouraged. "Your choice captain, take a chance with the potions and help your brothers or..." Kayo didn't even finish her sentence before the man was unlocking the cell and retrieving the barrel, not testing it on Kayo like she offered and heaved it onto his shoulder after making sure it was sealed tight.
"Captain! You're going to trust the word of a couple of monsters?" The other guard asked, and Kayo scoffed. "Are we really monsters? We didn't kill anybody." Kayo muttered, but it went ignored as he left the cell and re locked it, Rimuru still on the outside.
"We don't have time. Let's go!" The captain barked, barrel on his shoulder.
"Yes, Captain Kaido." The other guard followed his captain, despite his worried look at the two 'monsters' and the barrel of unknow liquid. "You'd better stay in your cell, both of you!" Captain Kaido ordered before he and his subordinate left to deliver the potion.
'He was really worried about his subordinates. He seems like a good guy.' Rimuru thought as Kayo looked sad as she slipped out of the ropes once they were gone. 'He is, he smelled like well-worn leather. It's what happens when a heart is open to others… they think of them as family... and most people would do anything for family.' Kayo thought sadly as she slowly folded up the rope but wasn't sure how long they would have to wait here until they could 'officially' be set free.
'Hey… you called me brother before… did you really mean that?' Rimuru asked her as he came closer to the kitsune who pulled away and brought her legs up to her chest to hide her face. 'Hey. I'm not mad. I would like to be your brother... would you... like to be my sister?' he asked her softly as she fer lift her head, her golden eyes filled with tears.
'Y-yes.' Kayo shyly admitted as she pulled the slime into a hug, and he tied to hug her back with his slime body. Despite not feeling hot or cold in his new body... he felt perfectly warm in Kayo's arms.
~Later~
"No way! I was 6 years older than you are then!" Rimuru was shocked as he and Kayo had been talking and getting to understand where they had come from in their past life and Rimuru had just learn about Kayo's pre reincarnation age while talking about their past lives. "Yeah, I guess that makes you my Big brother then, huh? I've always wanted a big brother." Kayo giggled and looked excited that she now had a big brother like she had always wanted, her tails happily wagging behind her.
"Yeah, just don't go jumping in front of cars for me, okay?" Rimuru lightly joked, having heard how Kayo had saved her sister, and the fox child gently poked the slime. "Only if you don't take a knife for me, even if it wouldn't really hurt you now." Kayo mussed as she lightly played with his cool slime body.
"Okay, but I'm still gonna protect my cute little sister! No one hurts you without going through me first!" Rimuru declared, a bit excited as he had been the youngest child before, with a big brother of his own carrying all the expectations of their parents, but now he had Kayo to be his little sister to take care of.
"Thanks, but I promise I'm goanna get stronger and gain more skills, so you won't have to worry about me. I want to be able to fight besides you, so you won't be alone in battle, big brother!" Kayo admitted to him as Rimuru looked at the excited kit for a moment, thinking and consulting great sage about his little sister's growth. "You're progressing really fast Kayo. Enjoy your youth while you have it. Kitsunes can live for a long time, and you already have 3 tails within just a few days. It's okay to lean on your big brother." He asked her and Kayo pouted cutely but then that turned into a soft smile.
"Okay Rimuru-nii-san~." She called him cutely and if Rimuru had a heart… it would have been struck by her cuteness as the idea really sunk into him.
'I have such a cute little sister!' He couldn't help but gush. Then great sage informed him about something he had just gotten...
Contract Completed!
Kitsune Familiar Bond: You are now considered a kitsune's family. You now have their undying loyalty and that of any subordinates they obtain. In turn, your subordinates will also be loyal to the Kitsune, Kayo Tempest.
'Hmm, now that's interesting.' Rimuru was thinking as he was enjoying the warm fluffy tails Kayo wrapped around him. Having gotten a message from her unique skill, Match Maker, about the contract.
~Hours Later~
Rimuru had just finished wrapping up Gobta and hanged him from the ceiling of their jail cell, Kayo not stopping him even if the goblin was her friend. She herself was doing push-ups in her boredom after playing with her new slime brother for a bit, only stopping her physical training as she heard several heavy footsteps and the scent of Captain Kaido and 3 other dwarfs that smelled interesting.
The captain and 3 unfamiliar dwarves came up to their cell.
"You saved them. I thank you." Captain Kaido, said as he looked at the slime, seeming to ignore the unbound kitsune and the wrapped-up Goblin handing from the celling now. Kayo took in these new Dwarves and was ready to catalog them for later, the possibly of these three being the 'brothers' Captain Kaido had been worried about.
"I heard you gave that Potion! Thank you!" The first to speak was a dwarf with a bushy mustache and short beard, wearing a dark colored tank top to show off the tattoos on his upper arms as his lower arms were wrapped with some fabric and bandages.
"Don't mention it." Rimuru chirped as he was glad to see the captain had trusted him, even if it took him a while.
"My arm was nearly ripped off. Even if I survived, I would have lost my job. Thank you." The Dwarf with a black fur collar around his neck praised as he pushed down a fabric cuff, he had around his forearm to show the damage that was no longer there.
"You're very welcome!" Rimuru chirped, feeling proud of himself as they looked at the last dwarf with a bald pointed head and a white scarf around his neck only nodded and made some grunting noises that made Kayo's ears twitch as it sounded familiar.
'Say something!' Rimuru thought with a bit of annoyance before Kayo pat him on the head and it seemed to calm him down as he had a warm feeling go threw him.
"Really, thanks so much!"
"We owe You!"
The dwarves said as they started to leave, probably not having believed Captain Kaido, who opened their cell to let them out. "Are we free to go?" Kayo asked as she stood up and looked up at the dwarf who gave her a smile.
"Naturally, let me get you two a warm meal for making you wait so long." the captain offered, and Kayo's stomach chose that time to speak up in agreement. The fox child blushed in embarrassment, her ears flat to her head and arms wrapped around her belly, the captain chuckled at how cute the kitsune looked.
"Thanks, we'll take you up on that offer." Rimuru chirped as he and Kayo walked out of the cell, leaving a still sleeping Gobta behind to pick up later.
The three of them had a chat over the meal, Rimuru giving Kayo his portion as he didn't need to eat, and the Kit was still hungry any way. The slime told Captain Kaido of their mission and the dwarf was all too happy to help them on their mission... after getting a good night's rest.
~Next Day~
"Wow! I can smell the furnaces burning everywhere! And the metals being melted down!" Kayo voiced excitedly as she looked up in wonder, out in the streets of Dwargon in the late morning, her slime brother in her arms. Captain Kaido leading the way to one of the best blacksmiths he knew that may be able to help with their quest.
In the meantime, the two siblings were taking in the sites of the new dwarven city and all it wears it had on display. "This way. Don't get lost and keep holding that slime little lady." Captain Kaido called out to the pair as he had told Kayo to hold Rimuru because some shop keepers where weary of fox beastmen, for their habit of swiping things.
Kayo just looked sweet an innocent, not wanting to prove the captain had some right to be worried, she had been eyeing a glowing sword that was high up on the shop wall, but so was Rimuru. "What's up with that sword? Is it actually shining!? Is it magic?" Rimuru asked, excited as Kayo got closer to it, her ears twitching as she heard a soft hum coming from the blade. Looking at it closely Kayo could see a sort of swirling pattern on it seemed like something truly special.
"Yeah, that right there. It's the guy who made that. The blacksmith we're about to meet." The captain told them as he pointed out the sword before escorting them away as he noticed the shop keeper eyeing the fox child carefully. After walking for a bit more and passing by some very tempting items, they made it to a quiet street in front of a small building that had a sign with a battle axe and sword crossed together on it.
"This is the place. I guarantee his skills are top notch! Hey, bro, you here?" Captain Kaido called out as he entered the building first and Kayo followed after him, already smelling the blacksmith and his sweat. 'He smells nice. This should be a piece of cake.' She thought to Rimuru as they went into the hot forge, the sound of a hammer shaping hot metal, to Kayo it sounded like the glowing sword they had seen in that shop.
"Hey Kaido. Give me a sec." Came the gruff voice of the blacksmith they were here to see. A dwarf with light brown hair wearing some strange goggles and a red cap... who was shirtless and sweaty as he put his large, strong, arm muscles to work as he hammered the blade he was currently working on. Kayo stopped in her tracks as her jaw dropped and face turned bright red. 'OH! FUCK! HE'S HOT!' the young kitsune thought as she felt Rimuru leave her hands to go greet the dwarf.
"Forgive us for interrupting." The slime came closer to the dwarves as Kayo was taking a moment to calm down from her muscle fan Girling. "That's my older brother, Kaijin." Captain Kaido, explained to the slime as they watched Kaijin at work, setting the blade back into the forge to heat up before bringing it back to the anvil to be worked on more.
"Oh!" Kayo perked up at the sound of two surprised gasps as she smelled the 3 dwarves that came to thank Rimuru before. Kaijin looked away from his work at the sound, then at what had made them all gasp, seeing a light blue slime.
"A slime? A friend of your boys?" Kaijin asked as he looked at the three newcomers.
"Kaijin, this is the slime we told you about." Spoke the one Kayo presumed was the oldest of the three.
"The one that save us when were where hurt yesterday." The middle brother added as the last and youngest grunted and nodded in agree met with the other two.
"Oh, so this is the one." Kaijin got up and pushed up his strange goggles before coming over to the small slime and getting on his knees, that action alone spoke volumes if Kayo's knowledge of dwarves was any good, they were a prideful and stubborn folk who wouldn't lower themselves without good reason. Yet here was a master blacksmith dwarf sitting on the floor and BOWING to a slime, granted it was her brother but still!
"You have my thanks." Kaijin said as he bowed to Rimuru who felt very proud of himself.
"Oh, really, it was-"
"Our honor to be of assistance in a time of need!" Kayo interrupted as she squished the slime a little as she gave a toothy grin to the dwarf who was a little shocked to see her. Her three tails wagging in behind her.
"Oh? And who might you be?" Kaijin asked as he eyed her carefully, seeing the white tips of her tails moving and the fox ears on her head. "Oh! Pardon my rudeness. I am Kayo and this is my brother Rimuru. Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kaijin." Kayo happily informed him as she also kneeled on the floor behind Rimuru who was the one they really had any gratitude for.
"BROTHER?!" nearly all the dwarves questioned in shock.
"I thought she was a pet, not a sibling... unless." Captain Kaido asked as Kayo proofed into her fox kit form to prove she wasn't also a slime.
"A kitsune!?" The eldest dwarf expressed his shock.
"Wow you don't see many kitsune these days, and a black one at that." the middle brother voiced as the youngest grunted and nodded in agreement.
"Yes, well, getting back on track. There is a reason we came here, and Captain Kaido highly recommended you. My brother and I came here seeking help with a dilemma we are having back home." Kayo explained, and Kaijin nodded before he looked at Rimuru.
"So what can I do for you?" he asked the slime and Kayo bit back a glare for the dwarf's rudeness, as Rimuru was the one who helped his brothers. "Like my little sister said... we need help back at our village in the Jura Forest." he started and explained a bit about what happened to the goblin village, and their need for sturdy housing and better clothing for the goblins. The dwarf listened with devout detail as Kayo was left mostly out of it, the 3 brothers having left to go put their purchased goods away and Captain Kaido was the only one watching her as she looked around the shop with interest... there was that strange noise again, her fox ears trying to find it as she padded around.
Even with Dwarven eyes, Captain Kaido had a hard time keeping eyes on the dark furred fox in his brother's dimly lit forge, only the blue collar on her neck gave her away, blinking for less than a second and... she was gone.
"Where did that kitsune go!?" The captain asked as he kept looking around for any sign of her. "Hmm? Kayo?" Rimuru called out, not very worried before there was a yip from the hot coals... and there... was the black kit with a small hot shard in its mouth walking on top of the burring hot coals of Kaijin's forge.
"WHAT!?" Kaijin and his brother yelled loudly in shock as they saw the fox calmly walk over the hot coals and hop to the floor with the shard of hot material in her mouth with no visible discomfort.
"What happened? What's with all the yelling?" came the three brothers who only saw the fox kit drop the hot piece of metal before the slime. "Sorry, I was looking for that thing. It was making that noise and I found it. Sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." Kayo mentioned as she bowed to Kaijin for walking into his lit forage... the dwarves looked at her in shock.
"Did she just...?" Kaijin looked to Rimuru who then realized what they were so shocked about. "Oh! Yeah, Kayo is fireproof. Don't worry, she can't get hurt from fire or anything hot really." he mentioned off handedly, as Kayo like to walk through the campfire to get at some deer meat, she probably liked it too much.
"Wow... that's quite a gift. I've heard of Kitsunes in stories, but I've never seen one, let alone one with black fur." Kaijin voiced and curiously picked up the now cooled piece of metal, bringing his goggles down to look at it. "Hmm. You said you could hear this in the forge?" he asked the fox who nodded. "Yeah, what is it?" she asked, with a bit of hope he would be nice and tell her what it was because not knowing was driving her mad.
"Magic Ore." Kaijin told her as the other dwarves gasped and eyes widen as they looked at the little fox in aw.
"Magic Ore?" Rimaru and Kayo asked.
"It's the kind of ore I need to finish that order, but this is just a small shard and I need enough to make 20 longswords." Kaijin voiced as he looked to the small kit who slowly backed away, as all eyes landed on her... and she didn't like that look.
"We were trying to dig some up yesterday, but that mine as pretty cleaned out already." The older dwarf brother mentioned, looking away from the scared kit, feeling a little bad about his idea of using her to find what they needed. "There wasn't any ore left, at least none we could find before that Armorsaurus showed up." the middle brother sighed, and the younger brother nodded as all attention was off Kayo now and she was a bit relived... but it was good to know she could somehow hear this 'magic ore'.
"And even if I had the materials, it would take me 2 weeks to make 20 swords." Kaijin went back to his work, bringing his hammer down on the rapidly cooking blade. "Yet I have to get them to the king in 5 days. They contracted smiths all over the kingdom and allotted the work to all of us. If I can't do it, my certification as a smith would be revoked." Kaijin vented as he worked on the blade in front of him. Kayo didn't know if it was meant to soften her up to helping them, or if the dwarf was being genuine.
'Magic ore? Don't I... have some of that!?' Rimuru asked and Kayo was confused before Rimuru started to laugh like an overconfident anime character, confusing everyone before the slime spit out a large crystal that was bigger than Kayo's child form. 'Holy crap! They get that big!?' She asked, startled as her ears popped up and listened to the melody that the strange crystal cluster gave of, coming out loud and clear to her ears like a beautiful melody.
"Wait...Wait, Wait. Wait, Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! That's magic ore! And it's unbelievably pure!" Kaijin freaked out as he stared at the cluster. Kayo curiously walking up to it as it gave off that strange scent...
'It smells like a storm. But how? It's a mineral right?' she questioned, confused before Rimuru spoke up.
"Hey, old man, are you blind?" the slime asked the master black smith who looked confused, the other dwarves were stunned as Kaijin pushed up his goggles and looked at the cluster clearly. "It's not even magic ore! It's already been processed! It's a cluster of Magisteel!" he gasped in amazement as Kayo took it as a good thing and sighed. 'I guess I wasn't needed here after all.' She thought sadly, as it seemed to be going well for the slime. 'I'm... being useless.' she thought and let Rimuru handle things from here, as it seemed unlikely, he could mess it up.
Kayo just listened in on the conversation as she lay down, even Captain Kaido wasn't keeping an eye on her anymore. Only when the elder of the 3 dwarf brothers left and came back with a sword that sang like a church choir did she perk up.
"It's magnificent. Even an untrained eye like mine can tell you have real skill." Rimuru praised as he was shown the beautiful blade, Kayo came closer to take a look at the musical sword. It smelled very different from the crystal Rimuru had spit out... it smelled more like metal and earth. "It has a Magisteel core. Put simply, it's a sword that matures in the image of its user." Kaijin explained as Kayo was even more curious now, reaching out a paw to touch it before...
"I'm goanna barrow this sword!" Rimuru declared before she could even touch it, engulfed the sword within his body... much to everyone's shock and horror.
"RIMURU TEMPEST!" Kayo yelled so loud it nearly shook the whole shop, as even the dwarves fell off their feet at her voice and the aura, she was giving off was thick with rage that it seeped out of the shop and to a hidden someone who was ease dropping on the group.
"K-kayo? Now hold on, I can explain! Really! No harm done! Give me a sec please!" Rimuru begged, a little scared of the 3 tailed kit growling at him with those murderous eyes. Even if she could, or would, really hurt him she looked scarry. He spoke with Great Sage and then started to spit out the beautiful sword... and another... and another, another, then another one until there where 20 identical swords before him.
"20 long swords make from Magisteal clusters!" He presented them to the dwarves and looked to Kayo for her approval... only he wishes he didn't.
"That's one problem solved but..." she gave him that glare again that made the slime flinch as she pounced and jumped on him repeatedly with her fox body... it was a bit annoying to the slime but not hurtful. 'Do you realize what you just did? You turned Mr. Kaijin's work into some mass produced, replaceable, disposable trash! Do you know how much work they ALL put into just that one! You nearly broke every Dwarf's heart back there! Don't you dare ever duplicate things without a good god danm fucking AGH!'
Kayo was scolding the slime mentally before he got tired of her pouncing on him that he gobbled her up... much to the horror of the dwarves but was relieved to see he spit her back out too... only now she had on a much thicker and metal collar around her neck.
"Is she okay?" Kaijin asked worriedly as he came back to his senses, seeing the little kit bounce on the slime almost looked cute before he swallowed her up like his sword. "You know you should be nicer to your siblings. I can see you're not blood related, but I assume you chose each other, right?" He suggested as he went and picked up the kit to make sure she was alright.
Rimuru did regret it a little, but Kayo couldn't get mad at him for everything... right?
"Hey, do me a favor and don't duplicate my wears okay? Otherwise, me and a whole bunch of other smiths will be out of the job if you do." Kaijin told the slime who felt regret now for what he did to his little sister.
~That Night~
"A party?" Rimuru asked as Kaijin had just sent in his 20 long swords to the king. Rimuru tried to talk with Kayo but again she was ignoring him and just pawing around shards of magic core that she found in the forge. It wasn't enough to make a sword... maybe a dagger but the fox was just moving them around without any real reason to it.
Or so it seemed...
'10. 11. and 12.' Kayo counted as she moved the small shards in to a curved blade shape, having seen a kind of flow in the shards. Moving some shards next to one another produced a pleasing sound or sometimes no sound at all. 'Weird... why can I hear it?' she questioned as she kept busy with a little 'project'.
"Elf!?" Kayo's ears turned to the conversation the dwarves were having with Rimuru... his sudden shout caught her attention. "Yeah! It's a place called 'Butterflys of The Night' where girls of all ages, from young to mature, wait on you hand and foot." The middle brother explained... and Kayo's fur stood on end. 'A brothel? Girls of all ages? Why would they suggest that kind of place? Is it not as bad as it sounds or... did I miss judge them? They are male after all, they're bound to have flaws.'
Kayo questioned wearily... but Rimuru seemed really excited to go.
"Come on, Rimuru. It won't be a party without you." Kaijin tried to entice the slime, but Kayo knew that he didn't have to try hard. "Well, if you insist, I suppose I'll have to." the slime gave in easily, but he looked at Kayo who still had her back to him as the dwarves seemed really excited to go.
"Kayo... are you coming?" He asked the fox girl but the dwarves where very quiet as they also looked at the FEMALE fox with a scarry temper. "Hell yeah! Oh! Do they have dark elves!? I do like the Chocolate Mommas with a nice Booty~!" Kayo cheerfully admitted, as her tails waged in excitement. Which confused the male dwarves... a lot.
"Oh? You're an ass Girl, I never would have guessed." Rimuru mentioned as he recalled their little chat back in the cell, where he learned Kayo could swing either way but loved the person for who they are and not their gender, or race in this new life.
"Of course, Boobs are nice but it's mostly up to genetics how big they get, then there is the hell of a task of finding a decent bra that will hold those big tata's up, so they don't sag. Agh! Don't even get me started on the back pain." Kayo explained, sounding rather serious about Boobs Vs Booty.
~At Butterflys of The Night~
"Welcome!" They were greeted by a large group of very cute and attractive elves; Kayo even had a hard time staying on track. Beautiful tan skinned elf women with a very nice Bootys caught her attention easily.
"Oh, how cute!" one of the mature elf girls came over to Rimuru and hugged him to her chest. Then another elf woman came and took him away to hug to her busty chest, then one of the dark elf did.
'Okay time to put my plan into-' she was thinking before she felt a small hand on her head. Looking up she saw it was one of the smaller elf girls. "Hello Mr. Fox. Your very cute and your fur is so soft." the little one told Kayo as she stayed still, taking in the smells around her... while it was mostly ungodly amounts of perfumes... she could smell what was under it all... Blood...and it wasn't from an elf.
'Huh... I guess I was wrong about this place, but who is awww~ that feels good~.' Kayo melted as the little elfling scratched a very good spot behind her right ear making her tap her foot rapidly as the child giggled... or so Kayo assumed. 'Well, elves take a long time to mature... she could be 100 years for all I know... okay let's get back to executing MY plan~.'
"Thank you for the scratch but... can I ask for something?" Kayo asked the girl who didn't look shocked she could speak, instead she looked delighted. "Of course, Mr. Fox. What would you like?" she asked, curious.
"That slime over there is my big brother, and I want to mess with him a little. He's not a bad slime but he's starting to think he can boss me around and I won't do anything. Can you and the others help a little? He really likes elves with big boobs. And they seem to like him." Kayo mussed and the little elf giggled. "Of course, Mr. Fox but can you do something for me?" the little one asked and Kayo gave her an ear and she told the fox what she wanted.
"Deal." Kayo smirked and held out her paw to shake to seal the deal with the little elf who looked very happy. Kayo told her what the elfs had to do and the elfling nodded before she went to tell the other's this little 'plan' as each girl took turns enjoying the slime and he was enjoying them.
Kayo let it go on and the elfling told the other girls the plan. She just watched for a bit before she was approached by a very beautiful elf that smelled like blood and smoke, making the fur on her back stand up... 'Oh crap. This one is not one to fuck around with.' she thought as she internally panicked as the woman gave her a kind looking smile. "Hello Little kitsune, I hope you won't be causing us any trouble, now will you?" She asked and Kayo couldn't help but fear and admire her hidden evil aura.
"None for you Miss Elf. Just my brother, the cute slime over there. He's been really mean to me and even put this on me." Kayo mentioned and lifted her head to show her the heavy metal collar on her neck. A flash of understanding crossed the woman's eyes. "But he's not a bad slime! I don't want any of your to really hate him. Just... punish him a little." Kayo tried to explain as she tilted her head as the dangerous aura about this beautiful blue eyed, sliver haired elf dissipated.
"Alright. As long as you don't cause us any trouble. Enjoy your visit." she told the fox before going to the bar, to serv up some drinks while Kayo set her plan into motion and transformed into her littlest child form.
"M-master?" Kayo timidly walked up to the current elf, who gasped in horror and shock as they saw a very small, dirty child with fox ears and tail, a very thick and heavy looking collar around her neck. Kayo acted a little out of it to sell the act and welled up some tears as Rimuru was confused and speechless... then he started to sweat.
"Kayo has been a good girl... please... don't sell Kayo." Kayo asked, sounding on the verge of tears before her stomach growled adding another layer to her act. "Oh! You poor thing, has your master not been taking care of you?" the elf that had Rimuru in her lap asked before she set him down, the slime being to shock to say anything, when he recovered the elf girls where fawning over Kayo. The dwarves with them were also shocked and confused by the kitsune's words and actions...then again, they had seen Rimuru put that heavy iron collar on her.
"You're all dirty, have you ever had a bath before?" one elf asked as she touched Kayo and her hand came back black, mostly from the soot.
"Oh goodness! This Collar is way too heavy for a little cutie like you." another mentioned as she tried to lift the collar but couldn't, even with BOTH her hands.
"Aww are you hungry dear? When was the last time that mean slime fed you?" a third elf asked, finding it hard to believe that this was just an act. Kayo was quiet, really trying to think the last time she ate as even in her past life it had been an issue.
"H-hey it's not what it looks like." Rimuru tried to say but instead he was met with cold glares form the elfs. "K-kaijin! Tell them! Tell them I'm not a bad slime! Right? Guys!?" he asked the master black smith who looked away as the elf who was tending to him gave him a worried look. Same with the other dwarves as they couldn't put in a word... having heard the elfs were going to help with a trick.
'NO! ELVES!' Rimuru cried as Kayo watch him sink down into the nice bench, he had been left on compared to the lovely lap of an elf.
"Okay, that's enough." Kayo giggled and dropped her very convincing act. Rimuru looked at her confused but only got her give him a smug smile and stick her tongue out at him. "YOU! YOU DIRTY LITTLE FOX!" He yelled and hopped over to her only for and elf to get between him and the little fox. "No! You're not going to hurt a hair of this cute little kitsune's head." she said sternly to the slime who had stopped and was a bit startled.
"It's okay miss Elf. I'm sorry Nii-san for pulling this prank on you." Kayo came out from behind her and up to Rimuru. "I just... want to make you proud of me... to feel like I'm wanted, and useful to you." Kayo explained seriously and Rimuru wanted to be mad but... he sighed tiredly. "Order some food. Can she get a bath too? She's been rolling in soot. Was that why? To put on this act?" Rimuru asked as he looked at one of the elfs that no longer seemed to be mad at him, and then at Kayo.
"The food thing was unintentional, as was the soot." She admitted honestly and Rimuru nodded and accepted it before she was taken away to take a nice warm bath in the back of the house where the elves lived.
'Rimuru would be in heaven here.' she mussed as she was some lovely naked elves in the process of getting bathed herself. She couldn't help but purr as the elves pet and cleaned her up, before it came to some new clothes, her eyes lit up as she looked at some of the sparkly and soft clothes.
"Would you mind trying some things on for us? You've been a very naughty Kitsune~." Purred a sexy dark elf, that made Kayo's tail wag. "Not at all! They all look so pretty~!" she said eagerly, not having had much chance in her past life to look pretty or dress up.
It took a while before she found an outfit that she really liked, and the elves had fun dressing her up in different clothes, a perk of looking gender neutral. What they all settled on was a light blue tank top like shirt that fell down to just above her knees and some black pants that stopped just above her ankles, topped with a soft black, half jacket. Kayo had gotten used to being barefooted, but they had some black ankle boots that interested the little kitsune, so she was happy to wear them, only adding a hole into the pants for her tails to slip through.
"Oh! You have 3 tails?" asked one elf in surprise, eyeing the 3 white tipped black tails that that had popped out of Kayo's pants. "Yeah? Is there a problem?" Kayo asked the elf in confusion, but she only smiled and shook her head with a soft smile. Kayo's ears picked up on a startled scream. "Sounds like someone's in a pickle." She mentioned, curious a bit worried, still not sure of these elves being what they looked to be, or what she assumed their true roles where.
"Oh? Should we go see and show your bother your new clothes?" the elf asked, not worried but the little fox seemed to be as she quickly made her way back to Rimuru and the others, just in time to see a sour smelling noble men pour a pint over Rimuru who was sitting in an elf's lap, no doubt having been enjoying himself before this.
Kayo growled, going into protective mode, only before she could take another step a cloth went over her mouth, her small body struggled to break free from the arms that held her back, panic set into her as her vision went dark right after she saw Kaijin deck the man in the face for insulting her brother.
'I couldn't... do anything...' she thought before passing out in the elf's arms and then taken away somewhere, being tied up tightly with magical restrains that could hold the tricky little fox.
