Here is new chapter. I have read few reviews on other stories and I promise I'll update them. Plan is to finish this one and see what happens after this. Who knows?

Enjoy :)

Chapter 16: Connecting

-With Kai And Sara-

Kai was still sitting on the ground alone in the next room and Sara was laying down as well. Rick and Mike had dropped by and as they had left, they left two passports for them. Sara was holding both of them and she looked at their last names. Kai's was real since he wasn't even a year old vampire yet. Maybe only few months or not even that, but who knew. Sara gazed at her own passport Christian had given her with fake name, Sara Queens.

'I wonder… does this identification even work?' Sara pondered when there was a knock on the door again. She stood up and opened the door to see Bruce Granger there, again.

'What is it?' Sara said politely and let Bruce in.

'Is Kai here? I need to tell you something and I think it would be good for him to hear too,' Bruce asked calmly.

'Can't promise he will come out,' Sara sighed and opened the door to next room without knocking but she did only put her head through. After a minute, Kai came out with cold expression. He wasn't happy or even calm, but Bruce was able to guess why after hearing Tyson's recording.

'Can't we have a break from you?' Kai growled.

Before Sara could lecture Kai of his rudeness Bruce spoke out, 'I'll be off your hair in a minute. I just wanted to inform you that as Mr. Dickenson ordered the plane tickets, he realized that we might have to call the police and do tell them about this trip. Since if they need to ask you questions or anything, they need to know that. Just wondering that is it okay for you?'

'It's excepted from them. There wasn't really a need for you to ask us that, was there?' Sara asked with curious expression but her voice tone sounded more annoyed than anything else.

'Just wanted to let you know. Goodnight and see you tomorrow then,' Bruce nodded with a smile and left the room. Without a word Kai went to the balcony this time and looked at the sky. Sara took out two bottles and walked next to him.

'How are you feeling?' she simply asked and pushed the bottle in Kai's hand, 'Angry?'

'What do you think?' Kai grunted but kept the bottle Sara had given him.

'I don't what to say here since I wasn't in your position when… Christian turned me. I was alone back then,' Sara said.

'Alone? I know about parents but didn't you have any friends?' Kai looked at her puzzled.

'I did but they died before Christian happened. So, accepting what I am was easy actually. And after what father did to me or other people… keeping on human morals like you, it didn't even cross my mind,' Sara explained. She opened up about herself for first time and Kai didn't know why.

Kai turned away from her and looked at the bottle. Technically, he was alone too and only Christian and Sara seemed to care about him in some way at least, even though he seems controlling but he has reasons. Not to forget that Christian saved him more than once, bends his rules when it came to Kai's attitude towards everyone else in the house, tries to keep him and Sara out of trouble too.

'Complicated, isn't it?' Sara said with a smile.

'Huh?' Kai snapped out from his thoughts.

'Christian is your brother who saved you and deep down he wants to take care of you. But Bladebreakers also want to help you according to their own believes but still,' Sara said.

'More like poke their nose into my business… like always,' Kai again recalled his time with them before and it caused Ray's life already. Kai wouldn't allow it to happen again.

'Just to be clear… Did you hear what Rick and Mike asked me to do?' Sara questioned.

'That you need to watch me that Christian is safe? Yeah,' Kai snorted. He hated being watched but how things have gone previously, it seems to be necessary. Kai was so tired of it that he had gotten used to it for most part or his last outburst at them helped him come terms with his situation. But he didn't feel as angry as before when it came to be under watchful eye.

'You don't seem furious about it now?' even Sara noticed the attitude change.

'I'm not happy about it and never will be but… it seems that every time I think I can be on my own I end up killing someone or screw things other ways,' Kai admitted it.

'Are you saying what I think you are saying?' Sara looked amused even.

'Fine. All of you were right. You warned me many times but left the choice for me at the end. Despite knowing that I still met up with them again and look at this mess now,' Kai opened his bottle and took a drink. He frowned because of the taste but at least it didn't taste like sand.

'But I won't forgive Christian for using me!' Kai added frustrated.

'You mean when he controlled your mind a bit to kill those kids? He is your donor and did use an order that time but only once. But it did show him that you aren't capable for that job,' Sara recalled Kai's first time at the job, 'Christian does use harsh methods when he tries to find appropriate jobs for everyone in the house. It just how he is.'

'Like that's fine then!' Kai sighed, 'Whatever.' They kept quiet after that and looked at the moon over China. Kai could only hope the trip would go smoothly at least. After talking with Sara a bit Kai wondered once again how felt about everything. Did he hate Christian or not? That was on his mind mostly nowadays.

-With Dickenson And Others-

Bruce had come back and told them Kai's and Sara answer.

'They expected it?' Dickenson asked. Tyson and others looked worried too.

'Yeah. I think they knew we were going to call police the minute we asked them to come with us to Japan. Not to mention they weren't happy to see me, Kai mostly,' Bruce nodded sitting down next to Tyson.

'It seems getting their trust is going to take time then,' Dickenson concluded.

'Can I make suggestion?' Tyson asked after a moment of silence. Adults nodded and waited for Tyson to continue.

'You did say that we don't have to become actually friends with them but… I think we should,' Tyson said.

'A moment ago you were going to call police,' Max said.

'Don't remind me, I know that. But I think Mr. D is right too,' Tyson stood up and walked back and forth.

'Let's review a bit. Kai and Ray were friends and maybe even before we met Ray. Ray didn't tell us about it but why? Kai had some trouble, Ray tried to help but got killed. Kai blames himself about it, Kai's so called friends are jerks, his older brother is manipulative murder bastard motherfucker,' Tyson listed many things with colourful words and continued, 'That fucker controls Kai and everyone in that house, kills people, maybe even forced Kai to kill people… Not to forget that they keep tabs on him.'

'Not to forget Kai's parents,' Dizzy added.

'There is a point there. If Susumu really… hurt people including his own kids… it would explain a bit why Kai's older brother hurts people too. It's like cycle you can't get out of without help,' Bruce pondered with sadness in his voice. He thought Susumu was more quiet than other people among his friend group but he didn't ever thought about what Susumu might have hid from them all those years. Susumu did seem cold and someone who didn't care for a lot of people.

'You can ponder this more later. I'll call police,' Dickenson said but he was feeling anxious.

-At The Police Station-

'I just got a call from Mr. Dickenson. According to him, Sara and Kai are going to leave China with them and back to japan. Can we allow that?' Dylan asked from behind his desk. Walter thought for a moment and looked at Kai's information on his computer. There wasn't anything unusual recorder, no criminal record or anything, but if what they have seen and heard suggest otherwise. Specially, when it came to his older brother.

'It's fine. I'll just inform the boss and police in Japan. We don't have anything to hold them here anyway,' Walter sighed, 'And maybe allowing them to leave may ease them up a bit.'

'Do you think they might speak more easily or something? I don't know if I have asked that already but you know?' Faith pondered and put some papers down. They just got more missing people reports. It was over hundreds now which wasn't good.

'It's not like we can do anything about it now and besides, chief told me that other team will help us with this recent murder and other missing cases. That way we might cover more ground,' Walter added. Dylan had told BBA head director that leaving was fine, but he did mention to keep in touch if anything came up from their end or from police.'

-With Christian-

Just a moment ago Rick and Mike had returned back and not with good news when it came to ghouls anyway. Sara would usual keep tabs on the police but it was out of options now. Tina had done it this time by putting few police men sleep and sneak past cameras. Christian was sitting on the couch in the living room this time with glass of blood. Night had fallen and he had regained strength after resting.

'So police got more help from their own people,' Mike dropped down on the other couch too.

'And more missing people but why you care about it again, Sir?' Tina asked carefully.

'Connection to the ghouls you saw in the visions perhaps?' Rick answered but it was more of thinking.

'Most likely,' Christian leaned back on the couch but kept demanding presence. Even though he wasn't in full strength, it didn't mean he was weak or anything. He still kept what Kai would call, bossy attitude up.

'I'm sorry Sir if I sound rude but…' Tina spoke so quietly that they barely heard her, 'If such a danger is coming again, why do you allow those two to leave for a while but keep us here? It's not like we care for humans in the first place.'

'And let ghouls kill our food source?' Mike smirked.

'Aah… point taken,' Tina nodded, 'But that doesn't answer the first part of my question.'

'Do you think Kai would be able to helps us here?' Christian stated and clearly annoyed, 'Besides, it was agreed punishment to throw him out of here.'

'You killed for less. Is he different because he shares your blood?' Mike asked but instead of an answer, they got a shattered glass. Quicker than light, Christian had thrown his glass on the floor. Blood covered the matt floor. Everyone sitting down had stood up and looked at Christian's angry gaze in fear. It was the same one from before while he had killed Marko and Jack.

'You are right,' Christian's expression returned to calm one again, 'But I give everyone chances. Some earn more than others, depending on the context. Don't forget how Kai was brought here in the first place.'

'Yes… Yes, Sir. I apologize,' Mike even bowed. Others backed away as well when Christian stood up and headed back to his office.

'Continue looking for clues outside,' he added before disappearing upstairs.

'Fuck that scared me,' Mike breathed out.

'I say you deserved that. Haven't learned not to test Sir's patient? Kai is an idiot but you, no,' Rick asked growling.

'Looks like you are taking that brats side too,' Tina noticed smiling.

'Don't be ridiculous. Every one of us had issues with Sir at the beginning but even an idiot would know that we accepted this life because we didn't have… connections to human world any longer,' Rick said and headed out again.

'Where are you going?!' Mike called after him.

'Hunting if you must know!' with a slam of a door Rick was out.

'Rick has a point there though,' Tina stated, 'Human morals and connections to others are… important to humans.'

'And that jerk is still holding on to them. Right?' Lara peeked behind the corner but she looked angry as ever.

'That's why he's an idiot,' Tina added chuckling and tapped Lara on the shoulder, 'You should be happy he's out there and not here.'

'I will be happy after he has paid for what he did,' Lara yelled storming off. Tina simply shrugged her shoulders and left the living room as well. Mike's smile dropped after everyone had gone. Christian's gaze still gave him shivers and he was even tired there, clearly.

'No wonder he's the boss. But how tired he should be until he's weak?' Mike thought to himself before adding, 'I wonder.' Mike rubbed his chin a bit before heading to kitchen himself. It looked like they were running low on blood supply and that's why Rick went hunting.

'How nice of him to get more,' Mike took out a bottle for himself and sat down next to the counter. There wasn't any hurry to look for clues at the moment. Well, where would they start now this time?

-Next Morning At The Bus-

In next morning everything seemed normal as usual. Tyson stuffing his face with food, others trying to stop him and adults taking care of other matters. When they had to leave for the plane, Tyson was late once again. Kai and Sara were standing there with others and watched Tyson run towards them.

'Let's go in the bus now. We are going to be late at this rate,' Tyson's grandfather said. Buss was little smaller than normally. Dickenson and Bruce sat next to each other and grandfather behind them. Tyson, Max and Kenny sat on the other side near each other and began talking about beyblade matches even before sitting down. Kai went to sit on the back and Sara followed him but Tyson's bey caught her eye.

'Do you beyblade?' Tyson asked as buss started moving.

'No, I don't but Kai does as you know,' Sara said and decided to give Kai alone time and sat next to the smaller kid with glasses, Kenny.

'I can tell he's strong too. Maybe even stronger than Tyson here,' Kenny said with a smile. Maybe complementing Sara's younger brother would give them some pointers.

'How can you tell that?' Sara asked curiously.

'Tyson and Max here have a bitbeast as Ray did,' Kenny said as Tyson showed Driger for a moment, 'But even with bitbeast, Tyson would have lost if that friend of his hadn't shown up.'

'Friend?' Sara frowned for a moment but soon laughed, 'Oh right. Mike.'

'I would have won thought!' Tyson protested.

'Maybe you can prove that in Japan if Kai agrees to battle again,' Sara said with a smile.

'Does he have a bitbeast?' Max asked.

'Yeah, I want to know too!' Tyson spoke out too and was leaning over the seat. He was on his knees on the seat back towards the front.

'You have to ask him,' Sara simply said. She knew about Dranzer but it wasn't her place to reveal that information to them. Looking back she saw Kai keeping his eyes closed under the hood. She had hood over her head too but her face was clearly seen.

'Do you hate sun or something?' Tyson asked frowning.

'Something like that,' Sara nodded.

'That explains the fashion sense. For both of you,' Tyson's grandfather chuckled. Since Sara was more open minded she answered many questions on the bus. Well, most of them anyway. Anything that involved Kai, Christian or anyone in the house full of vampires, she either didn't answer or put the question aside by asking them a question instead.

Tyson and others noticed that pretty quickly too but they didn't bother her about it. They knew Sara felt more loyal to her older brother than Kai anyway. But it wasn't on Tyson's mind since he really wanted to get to know them. It didn't matter what they have heard from before or in the future, it was clear they needed a friend who wasn't controlling their lives, an honest person.

Tyson had decided last night while going to bed that he wanted to be friends with them. After talking with Sara just now, it was clear she enjoyed many things and seemed like a normal teenager. Only problem was her big brother who didn't seem to care of human life and it clearly showed last time. Same came to Kai, though no one had talked to him yet about other things besides his brother and friendship with Ray.

'Speaking of…' Tyson said out loud suddenly and others gazed at him.

'What?' Kenny asked as Tyson stood up and walked up to Kai on the back.

'What?' Kai growled behind his teeth after sensing Tyson staring at him with concern look this time.

'Nothing! Well… here,' Tyson showed the picture of Kai and Ray. The one they had found on Ray's photo album.

'Keep it,' Kai turned his head away but felt Tyson grab his wrist and place the picture on it.

'You gave Driger to me and I think it was because he was our teammate and friend but I think this belongs to you more than us,' Tyson said sternly and went back to his seat. Kai looked at Sara and saw her watching the picture in his hand as well with concern look. Even though picture was weird and literally fake since Kai didn't take this picture with Ray at any point, Kai felt something when he looked at Ray's happy smile. He didn't notice Bruce watching him too and give a small smile. Bruce saw that as Tyson's first step to connect with Kai or it could be seen as an apology too.

Depending on how they looked at it.

Hope you liked it. A lot of talking there XD

Do review :)
