Chapter 21: Dinner
Harry's stomach was rumbling, but he could ignore it. He was used to going through long periods of time without food. Ginny pulled away, breaking their kiss.
"We need to go eat." Harry placed his hand behind her head and pulled her back to him. After a moment, Ginny pulled away again.
"I need food Harry." Ginny kissed Harry on the cheek before jumping off the couch the two had been on. Harry leaned his head back on the couch.
"I'll stay here." Ginny rolled her eyes as she fixed her hair in the mirror, which was near the Room of Requirements' door.
"You will not. You need to eat."
"But I don't want to be caught by the film crew, McGonagall said-."
"McGonagall said that the muggle film crew were interested in interviewing you." Ginny copied Harry's tone from earlier. Harry sighed.
"Am I really that predictable?" Ginny bounced back towards Harry, giving him a quick peck.
"Yes. Now get up." Ginny turned to leave, but Harry snaked his arms around her waist, pulling her on top of him.
"Couldn't you just bring me back some food?" Ginny suddenly jumped up, grabbing Harry's hand and trying to pull him up and off the couch.
"Harry Potter I will not allow you to hide forever. Now let's go." Harry sighed again before standing up. Ginny almost fell backwards, but Harry pulled her close.
"Ok." Harry said as he interlaced their fingers. Ginny smiled as she pulled him to the door. As the two walked away, Harry watched the Room of Requirements
disappear. The couple walked the back way through the hidden corridors, avoiding as many people as possible. Harry lowered his head as they walked into the Great Hall. He quickly noticed there were multiple cameras around the room. Harry assumed the crew wanted to get a typical meal filmed. As Harry and Ginny sat across from Ron and Hermione, he noticed McGonagall getting up, but paid no attention. He just focused on staying hidden as much as possible.
Harry jumped in surprise as dinner appeared on the table. He quickly realized how hungry he truly was and began scooping food onto his plate. Each time a cameraman walked by Harry lowered his head. Dinner felt like an eternity, especially when Harry realized the crew were interviewing people about the school's food. As they came closer, all Harry wanted to do was leave. He worried that would gain attention, and Ginny had said to leave with the crowd. She was right of course, but that didn't stop him from wanting to run.
Towards the end of dinner, a cameraman approached the people around him. He directed a question towards them, which Hermione happily answered. She quickly explained about the history of the Great Hall, but mostly talked of the enchanted ceiling. As she spoke, the cameraman turned his camera to the ceiling. After a few minutes, McGonagall wished them all a good night and the food disappeared. Harry disappeared within the crowd.
