Chapter 26: Leaving To Meat

-In China In White Tiger Village-

Christian had texted Rick and others a while back to leave the shelters, meet up and wait. He was able to get enough of rest and had checked the situation in Japan too. He saw Tyson talking with an adult and knew that Tyson had cracked and revealed some things to the adult but it looked like it wasn't going to be an issue for a while. Next, he saw Rick, Sara and Kai meet up which meant at this moment they had left their shelters. Now, it was their turn. Christian stood up and noted others to follow.

'Finally,' Tina stretched her arms up. All of them had gotten a good rest. Lara and Mike couldn't agree more and followed Christian to another room. It looked like he wanted to use the side door.

'Where are you going?' Lee came after them after seeing them leave the room. Rest of the White Tigers followed to see what they were up to. It was still difficult to believe they weren't humans.

'You sure are weird. Not happy about us leaving? Usually people are when monsters leave,' Mike asked.

'Not really, when not knowing where they are going. Mind filling us in?' Lee said.

'Just leave it human. Nothing you can do about it,' Mike sighed.

'We have business to deal with,' Tina added.

'Like what?' Lee questioned. As an answer Christian just opened the door and stepped out with others following him. Tina and Lara waved their hands at them as they closed the door.

'I'm curious too Lee. Why did you want to ask them that?' Kevin asked.

'Who knows what they are up to. We have enough trouble as it is,' Lee replied and took his phone out. He texted Tyson informing him that the vampires left and looked like they weren't the only ones to leave.

'Looks like vampires in Japan have left their shelters as well,' Lee said.

'You mean Kai and Sara?' Mariah asked.

'Yes and the Rick guy too. They don't know what they are up to either but time will tell apparently. How can they be okay with them doing what they want?' Lee pondered.

'Maybe because they are monsters too?' Gary suggested, 'Didn't Tyson say that they might the only ones to deal with this mess out there?'

'I wonder what they are planning,' Lee could only agree with others on that. If Christian was so strong as Tyson had stated, it would help against the ghouls but Lee was worried what would happen after monsters were gone. Would Christian just wipe humans' memories of this just like that? It didn't feel right. Nothing did at the moment.

-With Kai And Sara-

Both Kai and Sara had managed to slip away from the shelters. Kai was first one to arrive on top of the small building and Sara soon followed. Kai didn't acknowledge her as he watched the ghouls growl and walk around. Kai clenched his fists in anger while recalling Christian's message. Even dead people been turned into these and apparently vampires responsible were most likely in Japan.

'Rick is on his way,' Sara said after walking next to Kai. She noticed Kai's gloomy expression but decided to leave it. Sara was able to guess what he was thinking though.

'We can help Ray by killing the vampire who controls the ghouls,' Sara spoke with her calm voice.

'I know,' Kai grunted, 'I assume Tyson spilled the beans too,' Kai sighed.

'Huh?' Sara looked puzzled and checked her phone again, 'Oh.' Christian had send an extra message to inform them about the vision. In it Tyson told an officer about their killing but not their nature.

'Why can't he keep his mouth shut?' Sara sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. Kai glanced at Sara for a moment before looking forward again. Tyson wasn't too great with pressure and knowing that Rick had acted on his own to heal himself must have doubled the pressure.

'He never could help it. Besides they were at the store and I'm sure that officer watched the footage. You can guess the end result,' Kai crossed his arms.

'I definitely can. It's only matter of time when things go out of hand in there. Maybe that's the reason Christian told us to ditch the humans and wait for him,' Sara dropped her hands down and tried to relax a little.

'One of his abilities? Come from China to here?' Kai asked.

'Pretty much,' Sara nodded. Kai sighed and kneeled down. He did ponder for a moment what abilities he had and when they would appear. Kai glanced at his hand before dropping it. He couldn't believe he drank from Kenny either. After that Kai was more sure about the fact how Christian was right about them not belonging here ever again.

'Why didn't I just do what he told me?' Kai pondered.

-With The Group That Left The Store Shelter-

Few people were sneaking past the monster very carefully. They managed to find the first place to get some food and were filling up their bags. They had wondered quite far and were near the BBA building. They even saw the group form there for a second. Bruce Granger was leading that group.

'Rai! Here' man called out quietly.

'Good find Akemi,' Rai said and grabbed medical supplies. They had hit the jackpot. Rai, Akemi and few others were filling up their bags when Bruce's group walked in too.

'Anything left for us?' Bruce asked and Rai gave them medical supplies too.

'This looked like it was near the centre but this shop was kind of far away,' Akemi stated and others agreed.

'This is one of the small ones. Luckily, it's full of useful stuff. Too bad we can't notify the last group about this place,' Bruce was disappointed and could only hope the third place would find food as well. Help wasn't coming anytime soon with all of the trouble.

'What the…' Akemi suddenly called out.

'Shhh! What's with you? Can't be quiet?' Rai growled.

'Look there. It's a kid or teenager,' Akemi pointed outside. Bruce and Rai walked closer and saw a boy with dark clothes and black hair. It took a second but Bruce did recognize him.

'That's… Rick,' Bruce said.

'The one who got hurt? From the shelter where we came from? Why is he moving around? Heck, what the hell he's doing outside?' Rai asked.

'And where is he going?' Akemi added. They watched Rick ran to a building and jump really high and climb on the roof really quickly.

'Looks like he's not the only one,' another man said to them.

'What are they doing? That's Kai and Sara too,' Bruce growled.

'Sara left the BBA building, Rick the store and Kai the office? I wonder if anyone noticed?' Rai pondered.

'We can't leave the kids here. Let's go get them and go back,' Rai suggested. Bruce didn't know how to react. Among them he was the only one who knew that Kai and others wouldn't be in danger. Bruce recalled the time Rick had used his powers the first time in the dojo.

'We don't have time though. Look, ghouls are coming,' Akemi stated firmly.

'Fuck but I agree with Akemi here,' Bruce decided to back Akemi up.

'Are you really fucking saying that we abandon them here? Even though they snuck outside for some reason and breaking the rules but they are still kids. How they managed to get this far I don't know,' Rai argued back.

'That's why I think they won't be in trouble. I agree with what you're saying but I have seen Rick's martial arts. For his age he's really good,' Bruce tried to keep a calm voice. It was clear this was going to cause trouble but… who knows what Kai and others were up to.

'Just because a kid can use martial arts doesn't mean they are safe, besides Rick is hurt,' Rai shot back.

'I know but trust me on this. They'll be fine,' Bruce said. Seeing Rick move would also cause its own little… problems.

'Alright, fine but once we have taken the supplies back, we return here to get those kids back,' Rai sighed and Bruce nodded sighing. He didn't want to push them further. Bruce could only hope they would return to the shelters on their own before the plan from a moment ago happens.

-With Kai, Sara And Rick-

'Looks like extra trouble is on its way,' Rick grunted. Kai and Sara looked past Rick and noticed people in a small store.

'That's Tyson's father too, right?' Sara asked and Kai only nodded with narrowed eyes.

'Whatever. Our absence will be noticed at some point anyway but what now? Just wait for Sir?' Rick asked still quite annoyed but clearly happy being outside.

'Yes. Sir will find us when he comes here,' Sara confirmed it, 'We can keep an eye out in the meantime… for something.'

'More babysitting. Great,' Rick laughed. He managed to find a little humour from that and even Sara smiled. Kai kept his position from before and simply crossed his arms again and just watched forward. He had to clear his head and just think about the possible plan Christian might have and just execute it. Ghouls didn't look organized at the moment and Kai wondered what the vampire controlling them was doing at the moment.

Kai glanced back and saw Rick and Sara talking to each other while their backs were turned on them. Kai took his phone out and gripped it tightly.

'This is the final time,' Kai thought and slowly looked for BBA number.

-In BBA Building With Bruce-

'What did you say?! You're going back out there?' Dickenson asked frightened and Max had shocked expression on his face too, along with other people.

'Quiet down Mr. D,' Ruy tried to calm the elder down but they had caught officers and refugees attention.

'There is no need for you to do that. We have enough supplies for now,' a woman said and officer form before also tried to stop them. They had video calls on too and all of them were scrambling, expect Chane and Tyson.

When Bruce had arrived he had only said that he needs to go back along with two others. It caused the chaos at the moment. Rai and Akemi hadn't said anything either since along the way Bruce had asked them to leave the talking to him since he knew Rick and others.

'We just need to check on something. Shouldn't take too long,' as Bruce tried to convince them to allow this Rai and Akemi looked puzzled. Rai also noticed officer Chane's attitude.

'You seem to know something officer Chane?' Rai broke his silence and spoke from the screen. People turned to the screen and people behind them walked closer.

Chane sighed out loud, 'I can guess what they might be up to.'

'Okay. We saw teenagers outside and Rai wants to bring them back here before they get in danger,' Bruce revealed since it was no use to hide it and it would be too weird. He saw the looks Akemi and Rai gave him.

'There are still people out there? Kids?' officer asked and turned to the screen.

'Yeah. Three of them. I think their names are Rick, Kai and Sara. They sneaked out from the shelters for some reason,' Rai answered.

'WHAT?!' everyone called out.

'Officer Chane, you knew about this?' officer asked.

'I checked video recordings from here and saw Rick sneak out soon after Rai and others had left,' Chane answered calmly.

'And you didn't mention this?' Dickenson questioned this time.

'Don't blame Chane here. I asked him to keep quiet,' Tyson jumped into the screen.

'I… also saw Kai go out and didn't say anything,' Kenny raised his hand up.

'Fine. Forget it but they need to brought back. Bruce mentioned you were going to do it?' officer asked.

'Honestly, I don't think we need to do that since they know how to fight and Rick even saved us but… I was on minority,' Bruce shrugged his arms.

'Glad you were. Just because they can fight doesn't mean they can stay safe. Rai and Akemi are right about that,' officer argued. People around the looked even more worried than before. How could no one notice three kids disappear.

As Bruce tried to think what to say a phone rang. Dickenson went quickly through his pockets and saw that it was his phone but he didn't know the number.

'Hello?' Dickenson answered and everyone saw Dickenson's expression change from puzzled to shock. Dickenson put his phone on a speaker and close to the monitors so people could hear the call too.

'It's Kai,' Dickenson said and Bruce dashed forward as did Max. Tyson and Kenny were also close to the screens.

'What are you three doing? Come back here,' Bruce said quickly.

'I know you plan to come get us no matter what,' Kai spoke quietly and clearly very annoyed.

'You can't survive in there. Come back and explain why you ignored the rules and left in the first place,' officer ordered next.

'What would you know… I decided to call you because I wanted to… I want all of you stay put and just forget about us. We'll know what the plan is soon,' Kai replied.

'The plan… Hold on! Is it your brother?!'Tyson yelled at the screen.

'You mean… Christian? Are you saying they are coming here from all the way from China?' Bruce asked puzzled. Did Christian have ability to travel between worlds quickly, like teleporting?

'You kids come back right now. There is no way your brother can do that,' officer tried to argue. Everyone looked concerned but puzzled at the same time. They could hear whispers among them as well, are the kids stupid, why do they think that and so on.

'We'll come if it's ordered. Christian texted us himself and informed us he was coming. Just stay put unless you want to endanger your lives again,' Kai said and immediately hang up.

'Kai!' Max called out and Dickenson put his phone away.

'Mr. Ganger, go get them. These kids are nuts. I understand Kai and Sara want to be with their older brother who they clearly rely on him, but they will get killed out there. How can they believe that this Christian will come just based on text? Heck, why did they abandon the shelters?' officer stated right afterwards. Rai and Akemi were nodding and waited for Bruce.

'Officer, something tells me they truly believe their brother will come,' Dickenson said while rubbing his neck.

'That's fine Mr. Dickenson but that doesn't change the fact that they are behind the sea and there are no planes flying at the moment,' officer stated firmly. Bruce sighed deeply and checked Dickenson's expression, he only nodded.

'There is a lot of movement at the moment outside,' officer checked cameras outside, 'Bruce, Akemi and Rai should only go. Not too many people but enough to watch each other's backs.' Akemi and Rai nodded but Bruce was worried but he was outnumbered. He could Tyson and others with worried expressions.

'If Christian does appear, I hope he has good explanation to everyone,' Bruce thought as he followed Akemi and Rai outside. They sneak from the back like last time but moved more quickly behind another cover. Rai took the lead and began to move towards the place where they saw Kai and others last time.

-With Christian-

In China Christian and the rest were standing on top of the building at the port. Authorities, the army and the police were covered in protective gear and with their guns out. Tina kneeled down and leaned her head against her hands.

'What are they trying to do?' Tina said sadly, with a smirk.

'What humans do best. Fight back with no luck. But how do we go to Japan? That's what you're thinking, isn't it?' Lara asked with her hands in front of her.

'Sir must have…' Mike began as Christian snapped his fingers and they disappeared in a snap.

-With Kai-

'… an idea. Like that,' Mike blinked his eyes as they teleported right next to Kai and his group.

'Since when you could teleport?' Tina asked and straightened her long hair.

'Since the beginning and it's useful ability, but Sir just doesn't use it much,' Rick shrugged and crossed his arms.

Mike turned to Sara, 'Did you know that too?'

'Not at first but I found about it just like you did, out of nowhere,' Sara nodded and went straight to Christian.

'Are you feeling okay? I heard you weren't feeling well and using too much power,' Sara asked. Christian tapped Sara's shoulder calmly and walked up to Kai who hadn't moved. Everyone first thought Christian was going to scold or at least talk to him but he just walked past him without a word.

'Just speak your mind. What did I do now?' Kai grunted at Christian's behaviour. His expression showed he had a lot in his mind.

'Would you listen to me this time?' Christian asked without turning around but he had his usual authority in his tone.

'I… Argh,' Kai sighed growling. Even though he had thought about everything and even thought himself that why he didn't listen last time but his pride got in they way of admitting it out loud. He didn't know why either. Probably, because he hadn't let go of his human morals yet as Christian would put it.

'What?' Rick questioned from the side.

Christian sighed deeply and turned around towards everyone, 'Let's just say Kai drank from the small kids wrist.'

'You saw that too?' Kai asked annoyed mostly. Why was Christian watching him every second?

'Seriously? Great, just fucking great,' Lara cursed and threw her hands up in the air.

'We have no time for this now. Besides Kai doesn't know all of the rules yet,' Christian ordered and Lara backed down.

'Do you have to kill them or something?' Kai asked.

'Pretty much since you don't have the ability to erase their memories like Christian does, for now anyway,' Sara stated and told what Rick had done before coming here. Kai just rubbed his forehead in defeat. Christian wasn't too pissed though since it was Kenny and they clearly were keeping their mouths shut as much as possible. Christian knew that Tyson had let split many things but Christian didn't bother with them for now. Suddenly Christian turned sharply around and narrowed his eyes.

'What is it?' Mike asked quickly. Christian glanced at Kai for a second and steps closer to the edge of the building.

'Looks like this Tyson's father and two others will be in trouble soon,' Christian heard many ghouls coming towards them and three humans who were soon going to be surrounded unless they turned back.

'Sir? Christian?' Sara called out too.

'Let's go,' Christian simply stated and jumped down from the building. Others followed without complaining and followed Christian slowly behind him since he was walking himself.
