Thank you for reviews. I will take the tip into the heart and continue writing this and the other ones. I do have few more days of free time left before work and school starts again. Chapter 29: He was WHAT?!

-With Tyson-

'What did they just say?! Ghouls are coming?!' elder man yelled after they got an update just a moment ago from BBA building. According Rick there were ghouls coming towards their shelter and the office shelter where Kenny was.

'Calm down good people. We need to stick together and keep the doors blocked. For starters let's put more furniture or anything heavy in front of the door. Chane managed to keep his cool enough to keep people at least in order and not run around. Tyson ran around to check every corner and make sure there wouldn't be surprise entries.

Tyson checked the front door again and it was the biggest flaw at the same time. They were in a store and it meant glass windows which were only blocked with planks of food. It wouldn't take long for ghouls to come through.

'Hopefully they get here soon!' Tyson thought just when big group of ghouls was clearly coming towards them. People didn't bother keeping quiet since ghouls had found them… well, they were controlled to attack here. Different men and Chane took their positions and pushed against the different furniture. Tyson kept standing until a woman from before pulled him down and covered him as well as her child. It felt like forever… Then… 3… 2… and 1… Crash and growling. Tyson's eyes widened as ghouls were trying to push past or through the furniture. People were screaming in fear around him and in front in anger. Few people hit ghouls arms with sticks if they came too close.

'Don't let them bite you!' Chane ordered as he had to push against a lot more force, 'Damn it!' The more ghouls were coming, harder it got.

'They can't hold on for long,' Tyson gritted his teeth and right now, he was right. In five more minutes ghouls pushed through and managed to bite few people who were close enough. Chane managed to back away quickly enough with few others but third of them got bitten on the neck. People ran towards the back wall and ghouls killed more of them. In the rush Tyson fell and noticed that the small kid had gotten separated from the mother and was crying. Without thinking Tyson dashed forward the grabbed the kid into his arms.

'Look out!' man called out and Tyson saw a ghoul running towards him. Before he could cover the kid or close his eyes, a pipe came flying straight through ghouls neck and like before ghoul turned to dust. Tyson turned his eyes forward and noticed Kai with angry and with slight but clear red in his eyes and he was panting.

'Kai!' Tyson called out as Kai dashed forward again with superhuman speed and in front of everyone killed a ghoul after another. One moment they couldn't even see Kai since he moved too fast. Unlike Christian – what was told – Kai didn't use special skills, other than super speed and just killed ghouls with another pipe.

Tyson snapped from his thoughts and brought the kid to the mother. It took ten minutes when last ghoul was killed and Kai standing in the middle of destroyed room. Kai dropped on his knees and panted. He hadn't used this much strength before in such of short time.

'Fuck…' Kai somehow felt hot and tried to calm himself by taking deep breaths. After sending the message to Rick, he had even blacked out for a moment. First he was pressing the send button and the next he's kneeling in front of Tyson and other refugees. As he stood up Tyson had ran to him.

'You okay?' Tyson asked as Mike dropped in as well, literally. He had come through the upstairs window.

'Looks like you managed to take care of it,' Mike looked around with a stern expression. It was clear he wasn't in joking mood either at the moment.

'What are you doing here jerk?' Tyson grunted. Damn, he found Mike annoying. Nothing had changed with that, even after learning he's a vampire too.

'Calm down human. I was asked to help here by Rick,' Mike crossed his arms.

'Rick? What's Christian doing?' Kai questioned. They ignored the people around them who hadn't moved yet, besides Tyson and Chane. The rest were watching mainly Kai and Mike with angry looks with fear as well. It was their first time seeing the vampire in action.

'He got another vision while using his ability and it caused him to pass out. He got blood from the Bruce guy and is recovering fine but hasn't woken up yet,' Mike replied.

'He passed out?' Kai was shocked. He couldn't imagine Christian as someone who would pass out of anything.

'Dad gave him blood?!' and Tyson couldn't believe what his father had done either.

'Both are fine and now it's not the time to talk about this,' Mike pointed behind them and saw people staring at them. Half of them had been killed and it had hit heavily on their moral.

'Looks like ghouls are quick too when they are controlled. At this rate humans will perish,' Mike sighed and rubbed his head.

'But there are other shelters besides these three places here,' Tyson reminded.

'Let's hope they fair better than you do here or at the other place. Rick and Tina are on their way there but haven't heard from them yet,' Mike said.

'There isn't way to know what happened there then?' Chane asked.

'Only by waiting for Rick to call or text us. In the meantime, rest of the humans need to find a new place to stay. This place is a bust,' Mike pointed at the destroyed front door, windows and walls, 'Any ideas?'

'How about going to the BBA building? It's huge and we can fit there,' Tyson suggested.

'Like how? By walking?' Mike smirked. Tyson grunted but Mike was right. It was too far away to go safely or at least without some trouble.

'Don't either of you have teleportation or turn everyone invisible? Sara can!' Tyson recalled but did know Sara wasn't here.

'I don't. I can manipulate people's actions but not that,' Mike raised his hands up.

'Manipulate? Christian manipulates everyone with his words but you have an actual ability to do that? Do you control ghouls too?!' Tyson dashed straight to Mike's face and Mike hit him on top the head.

'Au!' Tyson was kneeling down as Mike pulled his hand back.

'I can manipulate people, not ghouls or monsters,' Mike added firmly but with humours sound in his tone. Tyson had gotten under his skin and Mike had wanted to punch much harder, but let it be.

'It must be nice to make humans do whatever you want,' Tyson stood back up before turning to Kai.

'How about you?' Tyson asked quickly as Mike just crossed his arms with annoyed expression.

'I… I don't' know. I do have Christian's force ability and fast speed but don't know the rest. Haven't come up yet,' Kai sighed sadly. Christian did say he might inherit some or all of his abilities and might get his owns but only in time.

'Oh right… You aren't like… old vampire yet,' Tyson dropped down. What could they do? He didn't see Mike watching him with narrowed eyes before smirking.

'Christian might be able to do something,' Mike revealed.

'His older brother right?' Chane pointed at Kai, 'But didn't you say he hasn't woken up yet. Besides what could he do?'

'Christian has many abilities thanks to his heritage. One is teleporting and we came here with it,' Mike explained, 'We could only wait here for him to wake up and do it. But if he does it is another thing and another is that how long can we wait. He's not at full strength yet and more ghouls must be coming,' Mike explained.

'Chane? What do you think?' Tyson asked from the officer since he wasn't sure about this. Tyson didn't trust Christian at all but if he had that ability, it might work. But Tyson didn't like waiting here any second more either.

'Is there a quick way to the BBA building?' Chane asked after few minutes.

'You must be thinking of walking there, aren't you?' Mike stated.

'Honestly, I think that this teleportation ability would be most safe of the two but we don't have time to wait either. He's out cold, isn't he?' Chane revealed his thoughts.

'Your decision,' Mike shrugged his shoulders dramatically and walked to the broken wall, 'There is only two of us but we will watch you from the roof tops while you head towards the BBA.'

Mike leaned against turned over shelf and half sat down, 'But a little warning. You people need to run or some way move quickly… and get them to move in the first place.'

Chane turned around and saw the reason immediately. Survivors were like glued against the wall and the floor. Before Chane could even open his mouth, few people protested.

'We can't go out there!'

'Those two are vampires! They will just leave us to die!'

'There is no way we can get to the BBA safely!'

'Humans,' Mike sighed deeply and loudly from his spot. Tyson kicked a rock at Mike as response.

'They just want to stay alive jerk,' Tyson stated and turned his back at Mike. Kai only shook his head and glanced at Mike and then the people. It was only natural they were on edge but they couldn't stay here. Kai clenched his hands into fists before turning to the people.

'Fine. Those who want to leave to more safer place can follow us. Those who don't, can stay,' Kai crossed his own arms this time and headed towards Mike too. The moment Kai had decided to do what Christian had said and warned before, slowly his old attitude was coming back. But at the same time, he didn't like it. It made him feel like… Christian during certain times. Kai shook his head to clear his head.

'How can you say that? No one can stay here,' Tyson argued back.

'Anyone who wants to leave can. Nothing else I can say,' Kai grunted as Tyson jumped in front of him.

'You sound like Christian now! Like you don't care!' Tyson called out.

'Just stop it. What can I do if someone doesn't want to leave?! Pick them and run?! Don't be an idiot,' Kai growled and continued his way leaving Tyson with angry expression.

'Looks like you can't do anything but piss everyone off,' Mike stated as Kai stopped in front of him.

'Shut up,' Kai grunted and put his hands into his pockets.

'I wonder… why didn't you ignore them if you don't like them?' Mike asked as Chane was talking to the group and Tyson watching them.

'What do you fucking know?' Kai stated back but Mike did put a question in Kai's head. Did he care for them some way or was he just attached to… his old human life? Or did he feel guilty because of Ray?

'Little tip idiot. Sort your head straight and soon,' Mike said and glanced on his right and saw Tyson walking up to them.

'Chane managed to talk some of them who wanted to say come with but not all them… What's the plan? Go the shortest way there and you keep an eye on us?' Tyson asked.

'Add you run towards the BBA into the plan, then you're right. The longer you take, harder it will be,' Mike pointed out.

'Yes master,' Tyson mocked and saluted Mike.

'Stop it. I'll wait outside,' Kai quickly said and stepped outside. Tyson still managed to annoy him, even now.

'He gets more and more annoying by the minute. How did you stand him?' Mike pondered out loud as he stood up.

'What do you mean by that?' Tyson asked and noticed Mike flinch for a moment.

'Didn't he come with you to Japan?' Mike stepped back as he tried to go outside, but Tyson sensed that wasn't what Mike meant.

'I might not be as smart as Kenny but I know that's not what you meant,' Tyson literally pointed at Mike with his finger and Mike raised his hands slightly like he was surrendering.

'Fine you caught me. Let's talk about this later. No time, remember?' Mike tried to vessel himself out but Tyson had enough of their secrets. He did understood some currently too but now it was not the time to hide stuff. Everything could be important clue or help for survival. This one… was not either of them but Tyson feared it would be buried, so he decided to pursue this, right this minute.

'Did we know Kai or something? Before he was turned by his brother into a vampire? You meant that, didn't you?' Tyson stepped closer to Mike who watched him with calculating eyes.

Mike sighed and blew air out of his mouth and his hair moved a bit from the blow, 'I seriously wonder how Kai could stand you. You're really annoying.'

'So WE did know him!' Tyson shouted but put his hand over his mouth and stepped closer.

'Quiet down. Kai almost heard you,' Mike stated.

'He can't hear this?'

'He doesn't want you to know this actually. I might be an ass myself but I do respect others' privacy, at least I try to. My sentence was a slip up before,' Mike talked seriously.

Tyson looked behind him and saw Chane still preparing, next he run to look outside and saw Kai sitting on the edge of a roof nearby. He didn't look like he could hear them and Mike confirmed it.

'He can't hear us. He hasn't developed the hearing the way he can pick this up without concentrating and he's angry. So, he doesn't care,' Mike sat back down after seeing humans still preparing themselves. God, they were slow.

'If that's so, why are you telling me this?' Tyson stood in front of Mike.

'Because you wouldn't stop talking about it and besides, it's going to be revealed at some point. I would tell it as soon as possible so that it won't cause a shock in a wrong time, like in dramas,' Mike chuckled at the end for a second.

Tyson gulped and asked quietly, 'Why would it be shocking… Hold on… Did we know him but Christian erased our memories?'

'Bingo. You hit the nail right on the head,' Mike snapped his fingers, 'He didn't have to do that for Ray for obvious reasons.'

'But why? Was it Kai's idea?!' Tyson growled and Mike knew why. It wasn't new.

'I can sense your fear and I can it's right. It wasn't Kai's idea but Christian's but remember, it was very last resort. Kai was told to keep away from you at the end because he couldn't control himself,' Mike explained calmly.

'I knew it. That bastard,' Tyson cursed and Mike poked him on the head quickly.

'Didn't you hear me? It was the last resort. Kai was allowed to be with you as a vampire but because he couldn't control himself, Christian stepped in,' Mike pulled his hand back.

'With us? I just thought we knew him and he was Ray's friend,' Tyson asked and Mike slapped his own head in annoyance.

'And here I thought you realized that after the first sentence… Yes, you did and Ray wasn't his only friend. All of you were. Maybe that's why Kai can't let go of his human morals like Christian tells him to,' Mike said standing up and put his hands on his hips.

'Why was there then only one picture of Kai and Ray?' Tyson asked. There was no way of knowing if Mike was pulling his leg now but something told Tyson that the jerk wasn't bullshitting.

'Like humans' memories Christian can erase and change pictures he knows of. Simple as that,' Mike replied.

'Sheesh. Is there anything he can't do?' Tyson pulled his hair and grabbed Mike's shoulder right after, 'How did we know him? Where did we meet? How was he with us in China then? Wasn't he changed during that time?'

Mike pushed Tyson off, 'Because…' Mike wasn't sure if he should mentions this and glanced at Kai from his spot. Mike might get a beating from Christian even after this but he had his reason.

'What?' Tyson got irritated of waiting.

'First, you do know that Kai was human during the China's tournament, was taking a part in it when he was almost killed and Christian saved him and is his biologial brother. Right?' Mike cleared out.

'I know that. What of it?'

'Didn't you ever wonder, what team Kai was part of?' Mike frowned lightly. Tyson pondered for a moment and he did wonder about it but they didn't know who. Tyson could recall every team there but nothing came to mind.

'Did Christian delete his team from our memories as well?' Tyson suggested but Mike shook his head.

'Christian did erase your memories and world's memories of him. It would be strange for former beyblading world champion to disappear just like that,' Mike decided to add an extra information.

'Huh?! He was the world champion?!' Tyson yelled out, 'No wonder he was so strong when I battled against him for a moment and he has a bitbeast too.'

'And was part of your team, the Bladebreakers, was it?' and there it was and Mike was right. Tyson looked like he had seen ghosts.

'Are you fucking kidding me?! That's a lie!' Tyson almost grabbed Mike again but managed to stop himself.

'Sorry but I'm not lying. Like I said, it's a shocker. He was actually your team captain before the shit went down, and Kai is mad about it too. Trust me,' Mike raised his hands again.

Tyson backed away, 'You… are really serious, aren't you? Just because Kai couldn't control himself Christian made him leave, we forget him along with everyone on the planet?!'

'Pretty much. It was determined to be safest option and we didn't want to expose ourselves. I think we told you this already. You know the rest about the rules and so on,' Mike reminded.

'Why didn't Kai tell us this after we knew about your abilities, vampires and other shit?!' Tyson questioned. If they really were friends, why didn't Kai mention this when he had the chance?

'Who knows,' Mike walked to the door, 'It doesn't change a thing anyway. After this is over, you will forget us again, even Kai, and this time Christian might do everything to keep him away from humans until he learns his current place.'

'There you are again, jerk!' Tyson simply stated and watched Mike step out. There must be a way to stop Christian from erasing the memories… After hearing what Mike had said, Tyson kind of knew what the feeling was from before. They did know Kai from the start and his feelings or something knew it but they just couldn't remember it.

'I must somehow make Kai leave them… We could hide Kai or something and give him blood when needed. There must be something we can do…' Tyson thought as Chane began to calm closer with the group. Now more than ever Tyson wanted to help Kai. He knew why Ray wanted to help Kai back then so badly, understood the reasons Kai had unwillingly killed humans and now even this.

'I wonder if there is a way to restore memories as well? Christian might be able to do it if he can erase them,' Tyson thought deeply as more people stood behind him and ready to go out.

Mike, Mike, what did you just revealed XD

I hope I get the next one done quicker. I don't want to rush things. So, in this chapter place was only at the one place.
