Chapter 31: Christian losing control!

-With Kai And Others Somewhere In Japan-

'That was quick,' Mike stretched his arms and looked around. There were abandoned buildings around them and they looked like they were going to collapse any moment.

'Any idea where we are?' Lara asked as small wall crumpled under her hand when she touched it.

'Still in Japan,' Rick had picked up a small sign and it was clearly in Japanese.

'Just because it's in Japanese it doesn't mean that we are in Japan,' Mike pointed out.

Rick turned the sign around with a kick and they saw it more clearly, 'This place was an old love hotel that can only be found in Japan.'

'Very old then,' Mike looked around the place. They were standing in the middle of nowhere basically and couldn't be entirely sure where they were but it didn't stop Christian going forward calmly. Others followed closely and soon the path head of them split up.

'Something tells me they are waiting for us somewhere,' Kai felt sick to his stomach but he didn't know why.

'How would you know that?' Lara asked spitefully. Kai just shook his head and didn't answer, since he also didn't have an answer at the moment. It was just a gut feeling. Christian raised his hand and scanned the areas but nothing showed.

'Let's just split up to three groups then. Mike with Sara to the right, Tina, Rick and Lara to the left, and finally Kai with me,' Christian ordered, 'And no one tries anything stupid.'

'You heard him Mike,' Sara poked Mike as she walked past him.

'Speak for yourself,' Mike chuckled and waved at them as they walked into the darkness. Rick, Tina and Lara left soon after without a word and Kai followed Christian to the middle alleyway. Christian and Kai walked in silence for ten minutes and they still didn't see the end of it.

'You didn't answer Lara's question,' Christian stated out of nowhere.

'I just feel sick to my stomach. Something doesn't feel right. I don't think Lara would like that answer,' Kai answered as they continued walking, but Christian stopped suddenly.

'What?' Kai watched Christian puzzled as the other turned around.

'About what was said back there… That Tyson said good points and I can only hope you understand it someday,' Christian said with expressionless face.

'I must admit it was surprising since it feel like it. I mean… Argh,' Kai grunted and continued walking past Christian.

'It didn't feel like I was acting big brother to you? I gave you orders like the others?' Christian suggested.

'Both,' Kai admitted, 'And you were telling me to give up who I was just like that without emotion but… I understand why. You could have just said so.'

'Maybe or I said it but differently. Like "you don't belong among them anymore"?' Christian reminded.

'You know what I mean,' Kai growled annoyed but Christian let out a chuckle.

'Yeah, I know. We have many things to talk about later,' Christian added, 'From brother to brother this time.'

'What's with you anyway?' Kai frowned as he listened to Christian. He was acting like Kai wasn't air to him anymore and tried to understand Kai too.

'We have yet to done that. Unlike you, me and Sara treat each other like siblings but that only happened after we talked. We should that too so you won't feel like an outsider,' Christian shrugged his shoulders.

'About what? The weather?' Kai asked as he walked right next to Christian this time.

'If you want,' Christian simply nodded and Kai shook his head.

'You can't be serious. Why would you do that?'

'Maybe I just want to try to make things better,' Christian stated annoyed this time, 'You're the one giving the attitude right now, aren't you?'

'Well sorry if it's hard for me. To this day you talked to me like I was your lackey, not a brother,' Kai said.

'Fine. Let's do it like this then. When you want to talk, tell me,' Christian said annoyed but dropped it at the end. Kai sighed and followed Christian quietly but still thinking about what Christian had suggested.

'Why did I act like an ass just now? This is the issue that was bothering me and I just… Shit,' Kai cursed in his mind and turned his attention back to the alleyway they were walking through. They walked who knows how long and they arrived to open empty area, almost empty. They saw Matt standing there with few ghouls.

'Looks like I get the honor for fighting you, Sir,' Matt bowed mockingly.

'Looks like your gut feeling was right Kai,' Christian said as they walked closer and stopped in front of Matt.

'After your little brother found us out, we decided to wait after having some fun. Looks like you Kai managed to save your human friends by telling Rick to go there,' Matt clapped his hands together.

'Just shut your mouth,' Kai growled.

'My pleasure,' Matt snapped his fingers and he disappeared from their sight. Ghouls dashed to attack but Christian easily killed them by snapping his fingers.

'How do you do that? Do you release the force ability inside them or something?' Kai asked.

'That's one way to put it. It's much easier to do to the ghouls since they are mindless. Other vampires, not so easy. Only if they are in certain state of mind,' Christian explained and looked around. He could still sense Matt around them but he definitely had annoying ability, invisibility.

'Matt must be the one who attacked Rick and Tyson since he did this same,' Kai noted as he tried to find the bastard as well.

'No wonder he managed to caught Rick off guard,' Christian stood calmly with his hands crossed as he rubbed his chin at the same time with his right hand. Kai was more on the edge.

'Can't you do something?' Kai asked annoyed.

Christian leaned his head forward a bit, 'Calm down. They clearly know jumping on us is not easy.' Christian walked to the wall left of them and placed his hand there lightly.

'Or we just have to do this,' Christian send a wave go through the wall and it surrounded every wall around them. Christian pulled his hand quickly back and it send the force, the white light, towards the middle. Kai covered his eyes with his arms as he felt Christian's force ability around him with great force when he heard a grunt. As he opened his eyes Kai saw Matt on the ground for a second before he jumped back away from them.

'Your abilities are really annoying. We didn't calculate for you to have strength at this point,' Matt growled very frustrated and kept his eyes on Christian.

'I must thank the human then for this. Otherwise you might have succeeded,' Christian walked back to the center next to Kai.

'Human gave you blood willingly?! Looks like I need to do more dirty tricks then,' Matt disappeared again. After few minutes Christian turned his head around and narrowed his eyes.

'Is something coming?' Kai questioned since he didn't sense his surroundings very well yet. Hopefully he learns about it quickly, so he won't be in the way or a burden much longer.

'I feel something… Keep your guard up and if you must, go to Rick,' Christian stated and kneeled on his left knee placing his left hand on the ground.

'Rick specifically?' Kai asked when he noticed the walls turning darker.

'Exactly. When it comes to strength and loyalty, he's the one to go in these situations,' Christian spoke as his hands began to glow again.

'He's the most loyal?' Kai asked quickly as darkness covered the walls entirely.

'Who else could be my right hand?' Christian smiled and sent another wave against the darkness covering the walls. Soon enough the darkness lifted and Christian stood up again while watching his own palm.

'Looks like Matt tries to drain me enough until he reveals himself,' Christian calculated.

'Dirty and cowardly,' Kai grunted as he looked around yet again. Wasn't there a way to find Matt quickly?

'Actually clever. He's not stupid,' Christian rested his hand next to him as Kai stepped closer.

'This shouldn't be allowed to continue. There are two more and who knows who is the one controlling the ghouls,' Kai reminded.

'Fighting against invisibility requires patients and mostly stamina,' Christian revealed the grim truth about Matt's ability when it came to fighting, 'He was bold when he attacked Rick but too bad he hit the wrong stop and lost to a mere human too.'

'Tyson saved Rick, didn't he?' Christian added with a smirk and placed his thumb and first two fingers together. Kai was lost what Christian was trying to do when he heard Matt growl but the sound disappeared quickly. But next Matt reappeared right next to Christian but got kicked right after by Christian who quickly turned around at the same time.

'Looks like his cool doesn't hold very well,' Christian said after Matt had hit the wall hard and making human shaped hole on the wall.

'Because of you SIR we lost our lives!' Matt dropped down and brushed the dust off.

'The moment you started with the business you should have known the risks. I have reputation to keep but I'm not going to start talking about this since it doesn't matter anymore,' Christian reminded. He did knew these kids when they first started with the blood transfer and money deals with Christian's group, without knowing they were vampires or knowing what Christian looked like. Erik and others had fallen behind and there were other issues with the blood and the day he had sent Kai and Mike there, was the day he had had enough of the group. Christian simply dealt with the way he normally did.

'That doesn't give you the right to kills us!' Matt disappeared again.

'Does that give you the right to cause this much harm to innocent people then?!' Kai shouted angrily when sharp pipes covered with dark mist also flew towards them. Kai and Christian dodged them quickly enough by jumping up to the wall and back down.

'What kind of ability is this?! Shit!' Kai cursed as he dodged another set of pipes coming under him.

'If these guys were turned to vampires after I saw them… How did they get so many abilities so fast?' Kai thought and gazed at his hand for a moment before dodging again. At the same time he watched Christian dodge and counter attack at the same time with great power. For few seconds he could see Matt also with very hateful look.

'God, I feel so useless!' Kai gritted his teeth while clenching his hands into fists. He was told to try training the abilities he did have and he had unleashed the same force ability that Christian had but he didn't make much effort to try. But still Christian had mentioned the issues with time and other problems getting away but that didn't change the fact he wasn't even trying.

'I don't want to give up who I was!'

Kai's eyes narrowed as he recalled the times he fought against Christian every time he stated that he wasn't human anymore. In the middle of his thoughts dark spears came next out of nowhere and Kai barely manage to get out of the way. Spears hit the wall behind him shattering it and sending Kai further away by the blast. As the dust settled down Kai turned back to the fight and saw the two of them staring each other down.

'How can Matt do that or is Christian holding back?' Kai wondered while standing up.

'Damn it all!' Matt's hands glowed again with black colour, 'No wonder you're the boss. Erik did say that you wouldn't be easy to kill.' Matt glanced at Kai and smiled.

'Your brother doesn't seem to be much help for you or is he just weak? We'll see,' Matt disappeared again and send another wave of attacks.

'Just worry about yourself,' Christian said as he countered the attack easily.

'Don't worry asshole! I will!' Matt reappeared in the mid air and raised his arms up. Air around them intensified and pressure increased. Great dark light with hint of red generated around Matt's arms and soon turned into tornado kind of wind around them as it surrounded Matt.

'What the hell?' Kai felt intense pressure and had to hold his ground unless he wanted to go flying. Everything around them was slowly arising up and it was like standing in a storm. Christian long hair and jacket flew up, down and everywhere from the strong wind as did Kai's clothes and hair.

'As you wish then,' Christian snapped his right hand straight to the side and created a similar pressure around him, bright white as colour and even greater pressure. It was the same force he had used many times but in different forms.

'Die you bastard!' Matt yelled even louder the attacks were making sound and flew straight towards Christian. Matt's both hands flew forward and Christian pulled his arm forward to counter it. As Kai blinked the two forces contacted and caused a bright explosion surrounding both Christian and Matt. White and black lights twisted around and flew every direction.

'Aargh!' Kai had to cover his head and kneel down as light blinded his eyes.

-At The Same Time In BBA Building-

'Huh?! What was that?!' Tyson snapped as everyone inside heard some kind of explosion. Bruce dashed to the window and pulled few wooden planks away, his eyes widened as did Tyson's and others as they ran next to him. Big explosion rose on the horizon with clear white and black lights and smoke.

'Looks like it has begun…' Ruy stated and tightened his grip on his wooden sword.

Bruce agreed nodding, 'And it's not going to be easy. It looks like they are not that far away.'

'Any chance to know what happened there Chief?' Tyson asked as Kenny was on his laptop.

'I don't know. What we can guess is that something exploded there,' Kenny said while writing something quickly on his computer, 'And since we know there are vampires involved, it could be that it was attack in big scale.'

'Their attacks can do that? They could destroy entire planet easily?!' Rai pointed out.

'I can only guess from based what I have seen from them that the person who did that must be Christian. And maybe his opponent has also similar abilities and as they hit each other…' Kenny said.

'It caused an explosion. Right?' Bruce continued and Kenny nodded.

Tyson counted in his head, 'Christian can teleport, erase memories and use explosions?! Rick can stop time, Sara turn invisible and Mike control people's actions. Oh and not monsters like ghouls or vampires. What else do they have?!'

'Hopefully something that grants them the win,' Max said as they watched another different explosion appear on another place little further back.

Bruce growled worryingly, 'Let's just hope this won't drag out for long. Christian has the greatest strength but even he clearly can't use it so intensely nonstop.' What Kenny had said made sense and it was clear there was more than one battle going on at the same time. The first explosion was most likely where Christian was since the attacks from before looks similar in colour at least, but they could only guess.

-With Kai-

Kai had fallen back from the pressure and had cut his arm from it but not badly. He quickly stood up and turned back to the scene. Christian and Matt's hands were few inches away from each other as they kept their abilities up, both were growling and gritting their teeth. Kai could see clear scratches on both theirs faces and cuts in clothes from the blast. Kai watched with wide eyes as Christian pushed forward.

'You really are a pest,' Christian stated before turning his wrist and sending Matt flying with a scream. Matt flew through the wall and they could hear rocks and wood falling.

'Christian!' Kai called out and ran up to Christian who was panting and taking deep breaths.

'Did you use too much power at once? Is that why you're panting,' Kai questioned as Matt stood up but clearly in pain.

'Looks that way. It's been a long time since I had to do this,' Christian cracked his neck and knuckles, 'Tiresome, but he's not the one who controls the ghouls.'

'How can you fucking know that?' Kai frowned.

Christian grunted shaking his head, 'I can sense it. He does have few abilities but we know them but that doesn't make this easier.'

'For a lackey he's strong,' Kai thought as Matt attacked again and Christian pushed Kai out of the way. They were now trying to hit each other with moves like what martial artists use.

'Just go!' Christian called out as Kai stood up.

'What are you on now?' Kai stated. Christian grabbed Matt's arm, dropped down and kicked Matt's on the stomach sending Matt flying again.

'Just go find the one controlling the ghouls!' Christian shouted and blocked Matt's attack.

'I don't fucking know who it is!' Kai was barely able to keep up with the two vampires in combat.

'Then find out! Use your senses!' Christian jumped up and dodged Matt's powered attack which made a hole into the ground.

'How the fuck I suppose to do that?!' Kai couldn't believe what Christian was saying right now.

'Do I look like I'm joking?!' Christian pushed Matt away with his force ability.

'Unless you have noticed, this is going to take some time and I would like to speed things up a bit!' Christian scolded and send a force again towards Matt to counter his blast, causing the surroundings to explode again.

'Matt here has similar ability to mine which could mean that the two others also have something similar to counter Rick and others,' Christian explained as Matt came forward again and Kai was just listening.

'The longer this takes, less time we have to keep your old friends safe. Don't forget that!' Christian's hand glowed again with pressure. Christian knew he was powerful and was able to take this guy on but situation didn't exactly give him time to take this easily. Matt was clearly holding back himself too and both knew why, tire Christian out and when that happens, humans were at risk.

Kai was puzzled for a moment when he realized what Christian meant, 'That barrier!'

'Exactly. There I only mentioned it will disappear when I want to or I'm dead, but there is the third way,' Christian waited for Matt to attack first and as he did, Christian used his quick speed to send Matt flying to the side this time by hitting Matt into his ribs on the side.

Kai knew Christian was right. If he tires out and is out of strength, the barrier disappears and ghouls might attack there without any resistance. But at the same time Kai didn't want to leave Christian here on his own. Others wouldn't allow it either, especially Sara.

'For fucks sake! Go already!' Christian lost his patience, 'Or do I have to throw you?!'

'Shit!' Kai thought cursing and left running past the fight to continue ahead. He turned to check the fight one more time and could see Christian having the upper hand. Christian so easily killed Marko and Jack but only because they clearly feared Christian, which is why Christian was able to just snap his fingers and kill them.

'Just stay alive bastard!' Kai called out before running again.

'Never heard someone call their brother like that,' Matt laughed.

'Whatever,' Christian stretched his neck a bit.

'Tired already? And here I thought you were the great leader who was able to kill anyone with a snap. Looks like you've met you match,' Matt charged up again with a smirk.

'In your dreams,' Christian decided to try few more things to make Matt stand down or perish if necessary. He didn't lie to Kai a moment ago when it came to his strength and the barrier but at the same time he wanted Kai out of the harm's way. This way Christian was able to use more power without worrying harming a bystander.

As Matt was at it again and missing each hit as Christian dodged Christian himself scanned their area and used his power to see where everyone was. Sara and Mike were fighting Gina and Rick with the rest were against Erik. And just like he concluded, each mirrored their attacks some way. And Kai… some ghouls had appeared but he dealt with them quickly.

'Stop fucking daydreaming!' Matt called out and almost managed to hit Christian who jumped high in the air before dropping down.

'I doesn't matter if your little brother got away. He's going to get killed anyway and I'm going to make sure you can't do shit about it!' Matt laughed evilly and went on attack again.

'You can just drop dead!' Matt called out cockily when Christian's eyes widened slowly. He couldn't see Matt anymore but instead saw his father's face with his cold stare.

And heard his voice behind his ear, 'You don't have any worth to keep alive.'

'I wonder how your little friends react when they learn you're dead,' Matt went on full power. Matt was so arrogant that he failed to notice the change in Christian demeanor. There was a reason why he was feared by others, and only Sara and Rick had fully seen it and others had seen small part of it. Matt dashed forward yelling and hit Christian with fully charged punch. But unlike how Christian did it, Christian staid on his feet and was only pushed backwards. Matt went to attack again but abruptly stopped.

'Wha…' Matt looked around and didn't see or feel Christian anywhere. Then… out of nowhere Christian was in front of him and had kicked Matt straight to the stomach so hard that Matt's ribs broke and he coughed up blood.

'Fuck! Huh?!' as he knelt down Matt noticed Christian's eyes. Instead of his normal eye colour they were bright blood red and slit sharply.

'What… are you?!' Matt called out shouting and Christian answered by literally teleporting in front of Matt and grabbing Matt's head with his right hand. Matt's eyes only managed to widen slightly when his entire body was engulfed entirely with light and right after, his body exploded and turned to dust in seconds.

Then the ground began to shake as Christian clenched his teeth and hands into fist while his eyes changed again. His pupils slowly disappeared and only white part was visible. Christian grunted and soon after yelled out loudly as ground shook more. Veins around his neck and face grew as the pressure around him increased a tenfold than last time.

-With Sara At The Same Time-

Sara and Mike were fighting against Gina who proved to be a troublesome opponent when they felt the ground shake. Even Gina's eyes widened when she felt big power around them as ground shaking increased. Sara turned around along with Mike and they could see a bright light increasing.

'Is that… Christian?!' Mike asked shocked. He could only guess what this was about.

'Can't be… I have to go there! Now!' Sara yelled and started running but Mike stopped her.

'What are you talking about?!' Mike asked as Kai appeared too with worried expression.

'What the fuck are you doing here?!' Mike cursed.

'No time but what's fucking happening?!' Kai yelled himself as Sara ran past them and jumped up heading towards the roof.

'Sara!' Kai called after her.

'Christian is losing control!' Sara answered before disappearing.

Kai dashed forward and went straight after her, 'Wait up! What do you mean?!'

'This is… Christian's full power?' Mike thought too and followed the siblings. He caught with the other two and soon enough they saw Christian. Kai's eyes widened in fear along with Mike. Christian's veins were almost bursting and he looked like a madman. His powers going full blast and destroying everything around Christian.

'What's happening to him?!' Kai questioned with a shaky voice as they had to dodge the force attack which was going out of control.

'Christian!' Mike called out and they got blasted away in result. They had to take cover behind anything they could hide behind.

'Big brother!' Sara called out crying in tears. But Christian's volume only increased and the bright around him began to turn black.

'Christian!' Kai couldn't help but call out too. What was happening to him and why?!

Things went from bad to worse fast :O
