I feel like I rushed a bit. Haven't written figthing scenes much.

Chapter 32: Please, help him

-With Tyson-

'What's going on there now?!' Tyson asked as he watched another white glow increase in the horizon before turning to black. Then they felt ground shake slightly and the barrier Christian set up started to crack.

'Whatever it is, it's not good!' Max jumped from fright as barrier cracked from another place loudly.

'Didn't Christian say that the barrier will only disappear when he takes it of or… dies?' Kenny recalled Christian's words, 'Is he dying there?'

'I don't believe that!' Tyson fingers dug into the wall as the ground shook again for a moment.

'Maybe it happens also when he's out of power? It's clear he's using something there and it's causing the barrier to react and grow weaker,' Kenny reasoned and tried to scan the barrier to guess how long it would hold.

'Can the other vampires be that strong?' Max asked while sitting down next to Max on the floor to see what he was doing.

Bruce stepped next to Tyson and placed his hand on his shoulder, 'They will be fine. They must be.'

'I agree with you there,' Tyson bit his fingers as tension increased. What was happening over there?

-With Kai-

'Sara! We must do something!' Mike yelled from his hiding spot behind the clutter, 'Didn't you and Rick have seen this before or something?!'

'Only the first part! Rick barely managed to stop the time around Christian while I knocked him out but it's impossible now!' Sara answered when they saw Rick, Tina and Lara appear to other side and take cover. They weren't the only ones, Erik and Gina stood on the roof top behind them but it wasn't important now.

'Fuck! At this rate this area will be destroyed! Us too!' Mike stated and hid behind the clutter as another wave hit them, 'And why is this black?'

'How is he out of control?! It shouldn't be happening!' Kai asked.

'You're one to talk! You were like this when that hunter killed your friend!' Mike reminded, 'Sorry! Almost like this but much weaker!'

'Christian! It's me, Sara! Can you hear me?! Stop this!' Sara ignored them and tried to shout but Christian didn't either heard or care.

'Shout again!' Kai called out. He thought he saw something but wasn't sure. Sara nodded and called out for her brother again with the same words. Kai narrowed his eyes and saw Christian's frown let up for a second.

'That was fucking useful!' Mike stated annoyed as the ground started to crack.

'Just maybe…' Kai mumbled and stepped out of the cover. He almost fell on his back from Christian's powers.

'What are you doing?!' Sara yelled shocked as Kai pushed forward. It was like trying to walk into a tornado but even more powerful. He got cuts from the force around him but ignoring it Kai continued walking as quickly as he could.

'Christian! Christian!' Kai shouted as he managed to walk in front of Christian, three meters away. Christian didn't answer at first but Kai called out again. Slowly, Christian moved his head lower and Kai was able to see Christian's completely white eyes.

'He's totally out of it!' Kai gritted his teeth and was getting tired standing against the force. If he was human, he would have been shredded apart already just by standing here.

'What else happened when I was out?' Kai thought and tried to recall the painful day. All he remember was standing there, Ray's body along Ryder's but what happened before that… But then Kai saw Christian standing in front of him before blacking out.

'What the hell I'm doing?' Kai thought as he stood another step forward.

'Christian! Do you hear me?! Hey, you jerk!' Kai shouted and saw Christian's eyes lock into him.

'Snap out of it before this place it a goner!' Kai hissed at the end as he got more cuts.

'Maybe I just want to try to make things better.'

Kai recalled his talk with Christian and felt terrible about how he acted there. He had to stop Christian right now and for once help him in turn. He saw Christian collect blackness around his hand and heard Sara yell him to come back.

'Didn't you ask me to tell you when I wanted to talk to you?!' Kai shouted as Christian was clearly going to attack any second now.

'We can't do it like this! Stop it!' Kai shouted as Christian yelled out and dashed forward.

'Christian!' Kai answered and grabbed Christian's arm without thinking. He expected it to hurt but instead red fire appeared surrounding them both.

'This feeling… That's it!' Kai thought and held onto the feeling. As Christian shouted in rage and attacked again Kai blocked it with fire. Fire deflected from the attack and also flew around with great force and started to burn their surroundings.

'Auch! That's hot!' Mike shook his hand quickly and blow on it as the clutter he was hiding behind got hotter, 'Since when did he have power of fire?!'

'It must be his own ability! Woah!' Sara dropped down as fire flew above her head. Kai blocked Christian few more times, but he knew this wouldn't work.

'Christian! Stop!' Kai ignored his surroundings and simply dashed forward. He dodged as Christian attacked again and grabbed Christian around his chest. Sara and others looked in shock as they watched Christian's power rise up again.

'Kai! Let go! What are you doing?!' Rick shouted and held is arm in front his face. Their surroundings were almost completely destroyed and walls around them were dismantling into dust. Kai gritted his teeth as the force cut his skin. From the side he could see Christian's hand glow and he tried to pull it out of Kai's hold.

'Please Christian! Wake up!' Kai cried out as Christian pulled his hand free and hit it into Kai's stomach. Kai gripped Christian's jacket in pain and thought for a second Christian's hand might go through his chest, but suddenly it stopped. Kai glanced at Christian's face and saw blood veins disappear along with the raged expression and turning his eyes back to normal. Right after that his force power calmed down rocks, pipes and everything floating in the air dropped down.

Christian's eyes looked down as Kai leaned against him and they widened even more when Christian saw the deep wound in Kai's stomach.

'And you were… the one tell me about… staying in control… Idiot…' Kai let out a small smirk and fell on his side on the ground what felt like in slow motion.

Christian quickly went on his knees and turned Kai on his back, 'Fucking idiot! What were you thinking?!' Christian pressed his hand over Kai's stomach as others ran up to him, Sara arrived first but Rick was the one to go on his knees too and touched Kai on the shoulder.

'Rick?' Sara asked as his hand glowed slightly.

'I only stopped time on Kai only to buy some time,' Rick said and kept his hand on Kai's shoulder as Erik and Gina jumped down with evil and cocky smirks.

'Allow us to send all of you to hell instead,' Erik stated and opened black portals bringing ghouls out. Sara recognized Ray among them.

'Rick… Don't stop,' Christian stood up and Rick only nodded. Christian was pissed even more but was most likely more angry at himself at the moment.

'Go,' Erik sent the ghouls to attack and Gina followed suite by dashing forward, but Christian responded by vanishing from their sight and reappear behind Gina before grabbing her neck from behind. He quickly snapped her neck in half and turned her into dust and before Erik was able to understand what happened he saw light force coming straight at him.

'Curse you!' Erik shouted as the force hit him pushing him at the wall hard. Erik fell down and was out of it for a moment which was enough for his powers to reset.

'That worked!' Tina said as ghouls disappeared. They watched Ray's skin turn normal before dropping down and turning black. Christian gritted his teeth for a second as he watched Ray turn into black dust before disappearing. In a way Ray was safe but at the same time his family didn't have a body anymore to bury. Christian turned back around and took Kai into his hands as Rick let go of his shoulder but kept the ability up.

'We have to hurry!' Christian said quickly and Erik disappeared at the same time.

'We need to take care of Erik first. Who knows what trouble he might create,' Mike said and got an angry look from Christian instead.

'Then go kill him!' Christian ordered.

'I'll stay and help just in case. We will find you after that,' Lara said as Rick and others touched Christian before teleporting away.

'Quickly then,' Mike said and they dashed quickly after Erik to find him.

-With Tyson-

'Look!' Tyson pointed outside and everyone managed to saw it. Ghouls outside turned into dust on their own at the same time. And soon after the barrier around the building vanished as well. Tyson opened the door and managed to only run few steps when he heard some kind of buzzing sound. Others along with strangers stepped outside as they saw Christian teleport in front of them.

'That was fast… Kai!' Tyson shouted as he saw Kai lay in Christian's arms completely limb. Others looked beat up as well and Christian looked like he was about to collapse as he stepped closer.

'What…' Tyson began but couldn't find the words right away.

'I… Help him,' Christian spoke quietly and was clearly holding his tone down.

Bruce jogged forward and checked Kai's pulse, 'Of course. We…'

'Why would you do that? They are not humans?!' one survivor asked and got shocked looks from Tyson and others. Christian gritted his teeth and hid his eyes behind his front hair.

'What are you people saying?' Bruce couldn't believe what he was hearing.

'Aren't they monsters too? They kill humans!' another protested.

'And they saved all of your sorry asses!' Tyson butted in angrily, 'All of you people are monsters!'

'Tyson…' Max and Kenny whispered. Unfortunately, Tyson's outburst didn't change people minds.

'You kid are right about that but that doesn't change the fact who they are. They…' man spoke when Christian couldn't hold it down.

'Please!' Christian raised his voice and caught everyone's attention. Bruce saw how Christian shook slightly too but didn't know why.

'I understand you humans… but… help my little brother… Please,' Christian barely managed to speak loud enough, and his words shocked not only humans but Sara and others as well. They had never heard Christian beg for everything which meant that Kai was in big trouble.

'Get them to medical wing! Now!' Dickenson ordered and Bruce nodded. They led them past the other survivors and ignored their angry and judgmental looks as they followed Dickenson through the BBA building. On the way Dickenson called the BBA surgeon and nurses while telling them the situation. Luckily, they were loyal to Dickenson and agreed to help.

Christian laid Kai down on the table and he was rolled in a sedated and clean room where they were able to operate on him. Christian dropped down on the nearby sofa and Sara sat next to him. No one spoke anything as the red light turned on above the door. Max glanced at the vampires before running to the end of the hallway and opened the door. He could see Chane and James along with other officer try keep order in there and even call the government and other shelters. Some people were clearly pointing towards here and Max closed the door. He looked around and saw benches along with flowers. Looking to the next hallway Max found a storage room and found thick metal pipe. He took it, run to the door again and placed the pipe between the doorhandles. Max had trouble pushing it all the way but Bruce walked behind him and without a word helped him push it through.

'Stanley, send Chane a message that we locked the door and will let only certain people through if needed,' Bruce said as they walked back.

'Oh, right,' Dickenson only nodded after seeing the door blocked.

'Do you think they could come here just like that to try hurt them despite everything?' Tyson questioned. He was pissed at how people reacted back there.

'Let's be careful just in case. We did ignore their opinions and can only hope we can buy some time to the doctors,' Bruce rubbed Tyson's shoulder encouragingly.

'A small hope is that they realize what they were suggesting and leave that talk for later,' Dickenson said after closing his phone.

'How can people just change like that? They didn't protest at all when there were ghouls,' Tyson continued and he did get his answer fast.

'I already told you,' Christian raised his eyes a bit from his hands, 'Humans hunt us the moment we are found out. When Kai is fine enough to heal, we'll leave.'

'Forget that!' Tyson jumped in front of Christian, 'Don't even think about that yet!'

'Why would I do that?' Christian asked and watched Tyson's determined eyes.

'There must a way for you to live in peace! Can't they?!' Tyson turned to the adults.

Bruce rubbed his chin, 'Their need for drinking human blood is the problem that bothers the people. As humans we don't like to be end of someone's food you know.'

'Blood donations or something then! Give people a chance to choose what to do there but anything that doesn't lead them to be killed,' Tyson threw out suggestions.

Christian let out a chuckle, 'You're the same as always.'

'Oh yeah. You know us and Kai was part of the team,' Ruy remembered. Tyson glanced at the door again before turning to Christian and bowing down.

'What are you doing?' Sara asked this time baffled and others frowned as well.

'Can you return our memories?' Tyson asked and stood up, 'You erased them. Can you return them? I want to remember Kai.'

'Are you sure about that? What if I'm going to erase your memories either way again?' Christian asked standing up again. Although he knew the answer but he wanted to hear it.

'I'm sure,' Tyson nodded firmly and kept his back straight.

'All of us are,' Max said and with quick glance around him Christian saw everyone nod.

'So be it,' Christian raised his hand and after small glow their eyes widened. Christian send the wave all around them and even restored other people's memories he had raised when it came to Kai. Tyson just stared into nothingness as he recalled the very day he met Kai, how they became teammates, Kai as teammate and so on.

'This is… We had forgotten this much? So that… you could keep Kai and everyone safe?' Tyson let a cry fall as he remembered everything.

'Kai even said sorry back there… It's obvious why Ray helped him even when he knew that Kai was a vampire,' Tyson wiped his eyes.

'He didn't actually at the start,' Rick revealed.

'Huh?! Didn't you say Ray knew about it?! Did you lie?!' Tyson shouted with red eyes.

'No, I didn't. Your friend found about it just before he was shot,' Rick answered when his phone beeped.

'It's Mike and Lara. They are outside but haven't come inside yet,' Rick said after reading the message.

'Tell them to come to the door. I'll go get them,' Bruce said and left before waiting for an answer. Rick quickly wrote the message and put his phone away.

Tyson gazed at Christian who sat back down on the bench. He was covered in cuts and dirt along with everyone else but they didn't look bothered. There was a silence again until Bruce returned with Mike and Lara and they were informed of the news.

'How's the situation in there?' Dickenson asked. It had been over an hour already since they began waiting.

'Calmer. Chane and James managed to calm the people down. They won't rush here anymore in protest at the moment. So, I left the door unblocked but we can't relax yet,' Bruce explained, 'But I don't know what happens later. Right now authorities, like the army, are going around there to check if it's safe to come out from the shelters. After that it's rebuilding and finding alive family members.'

'Good news either way,' Dickenson nodded from sitting down. Rick was sitting next to him along with Tina and now Lara too. They didn't get to relax for a moment as a nurse came out with a blood bag.

'Something wrong?' Tyson quickly asked as Bruce pulled him back.

'Yes. We need to give your friend blood but his body is rejecting the blood. Surgeon was thinking that this kind of blood is not right one,' Nurse replied.

'It's human blood. Right?' Bruce asked and nurse nodded.

'That's why it might not work… It's not a blood of a vampire. Christian? Can anything be done?' Bruce questioned and Christian nodded.

'I just need to put some venom in it from my fangs. That way it works,' Christian replied quickly and nurse got little sweaty.

'Just bring me a small plastic cup with a lid,' Christian instructed. Nurse stepped back into the room and came out with a cup with plastic lid. Christian took it, grew his fangs and quickly pushed his teeth through the lid. There wasn't really a need for the lid but it made it easier to get venom out. Everyone looked how stiff liquid with little glow game from the two fans and dropped in the cup. Christian pulled his fangs away after cup was filled 2 centimeters.

'Open the blood bag,' Christian said without emotions. After the bag was open he poured the venom in it. Everyone saw how blood changed from red colour to dark red, almost brown. Nurse thanked Christian before running back inside.

'That's how your blood looks?' Tyson asked as Christian sat down but didn't get an answer this time. He took it as a hint and decided not to ask Christian any more questions for now. Tyson sat down on the ground and turned to stare at the ceiling. He decided to recall the events before Japan's regional tournament and clenched his fists. At the moment, Tyson feared that Christian might erase their precious memories again. Tyson had to try make them stay or something but first… Kai needed to get better.

-With Kai's Doctor-

'Quickly!' doctor said as nurse returned and had explained what happened outside. This was very first time he was trying to save a vampire, but so far it was almost same like with a human. The only differences were the body temperature and the dark blood. They had to keep the body temperature very low while they were trying to stich up the wound.

'What kind of fight they got into?' one nurse questioned as they hurried but stayed calm.

'Didn't you hear? They went to fight against some vampires who caused the chaos outside,' another nurse replied as doctor begun to finish up his work after another half an hour.

'And trouble is not over yet for them. Dickenson told me that people outside weren't welcoming them despite everything they did. Let's finish up,' doctor ordered and nurses nodded.

-With Tyson And Others Again-

Everyone stood up as doctor stepped out and took his mask off.

'How is he?' Tyson asked the question in everyone's mind.

'I wish I would say it's going to be alright but since I don't know how vampire heals, I can't be sure. All I can say that his wound is stitched up and he needs to rest now. We should bring him into a room with no window just in case,' doctor replied. Luckily the room they needed was close and had to only walk to another hallway to get there. Doctor allowed everyone to stay but did inform them to rest too, mostly the vampires.

'Looks like he's not that bad. No oxygen mask,' Rick noted quietly but he did feel tired and worried. Bruce was the last person to walk in since he brought more chairs to others sit down.

'Do rest of you need something? You have many cuts,' Bruce asked as he put chairs down.

'No… Just rest,' Christian replied and sat next to Kai's bed and leaned against the wall with hands crossed.

'Let's everyone sleep. Clock is 3 am already,' Dickenson suggested and asked Bruce to bring mattress, blankets and pillows. Tyson, Kenny and Max took them once they arrived but Sara was the only one to accept the blanket which she put over Christian's legs gently. Dickenson put rest of the blankets down and sat down on a small couch on the corner too. Everyone just wanted to sleep and worry about things after waking up. Just to be sure they got to sleep in piece, Dickenson and Bruce had asked the doctor and nurses not to tell anyone which room they were staying at if possible. Christian was last one still awake after fifteen minutes of silence and he gazed at Kai on his left on the bed.

'In the end… I failed to prevent this,' Christian thought before trying to sleep as well. Day had been very draining and it wasn't going to get any easier.

Fight ended maybe too fast but Christian does have power... Right?
