"You won't believe what I found out," Sirius told his three best friends a few days before they were supposed to go home.

"What?"

"I found the room of requirement."

"Good one, Pads."

"I'm serious. Mione showed it to me."

"Hermione?"

"Yeah, she found it. She showed me where it was." They looked at him, looking for any sign to see if he was joking or not. They weren't the marauders for nothing. They weren't above pranking each other just like they pranked other people.

"You're serious," Remus stated.

"Of course I am."

"Well, what are you waiting for? Show us," James said.

To be safe they took the invisibility cloak. Though it was a little difficult for all four of them to fit under it, especially compared to the first couple of years they had spent at Hogwarts, having grown a lot.

When they entered the room of requirement they found themselves in Sirius' room back at the Potters.

"Pads, why are we in your room?"

"That's the first thing I thought about," he shrugged.

"Unbelievable that we only found it in our seventh year."

"Well, actually it was Mione who found it."

"But how did she find it? We've been here for seven years. We know every nook, corner and passageway of the castle yet we were never able to find this. And she found it just like that?" James asked a little incredulous.

"Prongs has a point. It doesn't really make sense," Remus contemplated.

"Does it matter though?" Sirius asked. "Because of her we found it. Finally."

"Not that we have much use for it now. We'll be gone in a few months anyway."

"True, but to be able to say that we know this room exists and even know where it is, that's something, right?"

The night before they had to take the train back to London, their entire group was gathered in Lily and James' quarters, sitting and lying around wherever they could. They were just talking, laughing.

It had been a few days since the incident during DADA. Hermione was feeling slightly better. Still tired but better, the heaviness slowly leaving her body. Who would have thought that memories could do that to you?

"So? Any plans for the next couple of weeks?"

Different answers were given. From not doing anything to meeting up with friends and lovers to just relaxing. "I'll probably be helping around the house mostly now that they had the twins."

"How are they doing by the way? The Weasleys?" Lily asked.

"From their letters everything seems to be going well. Though Mr and Mrs Weasley are a little tired. Understandable though, knowing the twins. Oh, I can't wait to finally meet them." Her voice was fond, the look in her eyes soft. Sirius could drown in that look.

"What were their names again?" Marlene asked.

"Fred and George." Hermione supplied.

Fred and George. Twins. Remus was lost in thought. Where had he heard that before? It took him a second but then he remembered. She had told him about a Fred and George last year. They were friends of hers back home, also twins, jokesters planning on opening their own shop. Was this a coincidence?

'Knowing the twins?' She hadn't met them, right? How could she know them when she would only see them for the first time tomorrow? It had to be a coincidence, right? They could not possibly be the same twins she had told them about. Fred and George Weasley had only just been born after all. Still, something didn't sit well with him.

"Will I have to compete for your attention now? Not only with Bill but also them? That's three to one. So unfair!"

A chuckle left her. "Indeed, how unfair," she said in fake seriousness.

"You better make it up to me."

"How should I do that, huh?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. He didn't answer. He just leaned in and kissed her. When he pulled back, she said, "I think I can live with that. Maybe another one?" He smiled, mirth in his eyes and leaned back in.

"Okay, enough of that lovey dovey stuff," Marlene said.

"You're just bitter because you don't have anyone to kiss like this." To get his point across he kissed the brunette yet again.

Hermione in turn smiled into the kiss, amused but she still swatted his arm when she pulled back, saying, "Oh, leave her alone."

"I'm not looking for a boyfriend either way. Everyone here at Hogwarts is so childish in some way or another. Honestly, I don't know how you two handle them," she addressed Lily and Hermione.

"I don't know either," Lily answered.

"Oi!" James yelled out in offense. Apart from laughing, Hermione stayed silent.

"Then what about Remus?" Peter asked.

"Yeah, he acts mature for his age," James interjected.

"No offence, Remus but you're not my type."

"None taken."

"By the way," she turned to the guys. "He's more like an older brother in some kind of way."

"I understand where you're coming from but you don't know what you're missing. He gives the best hugs," Hermione told her.

Sirius looked offended and slightly betrayed. "Excuse me?!"

"True, he does give good hugs," Lily agreed.

"Before we know it, they leave us for him. For his hugs," James told Sirius. And even though he looked offended there was nothing in his voice to be detected except teasing.

"Moony, you better leave my woman alone," Sirius directed to the werewolf as he tightened his grip around his girlfriend.

Normally Hermione would have said something about not being something that could be owned, however, she knew they were only joking so she let it slide.

Remus held up his hands in surrender, laughter in his eyes. "Don't worry, Padfoot."

And just like that the evening progressed. It had been a while since Hermione felt this at ease. And even though she knew it was only for a moment she was happy about it. Sirius looked at her. He knew she was feeling better and he was glad, the worry easing.

On their way home they all sat together, just like usual. But when Hermione had to go to the toilet and Lily went with her Remus took his chance. "Pads?"

"Yeah."

"You said Hermione was the one who found the room of requirement, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Did she tell you when she found it?"

"She said she found it last year."

"Nothing else?" In the meantime Peter and James were watching the conversation, wondering why he brought this up all of a sudden.

Sirius thought for a minute. He couldn't really think of anything else the brunette had told him. But there was one thing. "Well, uhm, before she said that she found it last year she told me she found it during fifth year. But she probably just made a mistake. I mean, she was very tired. Why? Why do you want to know?"

"Nothing. Just curious," he told him. Sirius raised an eyebrow in question. Knowing Remus there was some reasoning behind why he asked this but he let it drop for now.

Remus in turn had gone back to his thoughts. He hadn't really stopped thinking since the previous night. The twins, the room of requirement, not the first time she stayed at the castle, things she kept to herself. There was something that didn't add up. He wasn't really distrustful towards her per se. On the contrary, he loved her. She was one of his best friends, she knew what he was and just accepted him, she was like a sister he had never had. But that didn't change the fact that something wasn't right.

When they stepped on the platform, Hermione was greeted by Mr Weasley and Bill. Mrs Weasley having stayed at home with the youngest of her brood. As always Bill was glad to see her, asking to be picked up. Once in her arms she gave him a tight hug and only loosened it so she could say goodbye to her friends, giving Sirius a quick kiss on the lips.

Once at the Burrow Mrs Weasley crushed her in a hug. "Hi, Mrs Weasley. Everything okay? And the twins?"

As if on cue two babies started crying, fussing "They are fine. But it's a little tiring. When one starts crying, the other joins in. And it's impossible to put them to bed without them throwing a fuss if they don't sense the other next to them. But they're fine. We're fine. What about you dear?"

"I think Hermione has to tell us something," came Mr Weasley's voice from behind the brunette, a knowing look in his eyes. Well, how could he not know? He had seen her kiss Sirius.

The matriarch looked at the young witch. "I, uhm, am dating Sirius."

"Sirius Black?"

"Yes."

"Oh, I'm happy for you dear. His family may be as bad as they come but from what I've heard and seen he's a good lad."

Bill tugged at her shirt then and she looked down. "Who was that boy you kissed?"

"That was Sirius."

"Is he to you what dad is to mum?" he asked with big inquisitive eyes.

Hermione contemplated. He certainly wasn't her husband. But she did love him immensely. "In a way," she told him.
