BNHA: Dual Fates

Chapter 52: Muni's chase!

"I will have to return to U.A now. Thank you for your cooperation, Hatsume," Thirteen spoke and made her way to the door until the pinky's words made her halt.

"Was it just me, or did I hear someone scream out angrily? It didn't sound like Saito or anyone else, maybe it's a citizen outside fighting?" Those yellow hues confusedly blinked at the Teacher before they peeked over at the window next to her and tried to look down. Despite her effort, it was pointless, for she couldn't even see it from her floor.

"It'll be alright. I'm heading out anyway so there's no need to be cautious," A simple wave of the Teacher's hand and her words were reassuring. She watched as the student grinned and laid her head back on her pillow, closing her eyes. "Rest easy," With that, she left the room and wandered down the hall toward an elevator nearby.

However, when the doors opened, they revealed Midoriya and Ochaco in their costumes which rose the Teacher's curiosity. "Why are you two wearing your hero costumes, when you're not even on a supervised mission? Did you receive permission?" Her voice, which was muffled behind her helmet, questioned the students who looked oddly serious.

"T- Thirteen! Is everything alright in here?! Two zombies stopped Saito and Edgeshot, but Edgeshot told her to leave! Is everyone in here okay?" Izuku with pure worry and determination in his eyes bore into the blackness of Thirteen's helmet.

"Yes... Why wouldn't it be? Did something happen outside with those so-called zombies?" She wasn't sure why the two were acting so hasty, better yet, why they acted like a villain had attacked the hospital.

"Edgeshot told the rest of the students to take Saito as far away from them as possible! Someone sent her own dead parents after her, we think it's a distraction of some kind! Saito's in a very bad mental situation so she needs the most protection right now and I think Edgeshot already took care of those zombies!" With balled fists against her chest, Uraraka and Izuku both stepped out of the elevator and prayed that the Teacher would understand.

"What? I see- we don't have much time then, I'll head back to Hatsume before-" With an ear-piercing scream from the pinky's room, all heads looked in the said direction and heatwaves could be seen radiating from the door, into the hall.

Just as soon as they were about to bolt towards the girl's location, the elevator dinged and opened its doors behind their backs. "Edgeshot, did you-" Midoriya whipped his head around and assumed it was the pro ninja himself, but alas, his own words soon felt like a rock. It became too hard to speak when he saw the very pig-tailed woman in front of him, holding her Gatling Gun.

Blood coated her shirt and a little bit on her neck, dirt on her outfit, and small rips. Her deadly glare down at the boy sent chills through his spine and Uraraka felt dumbstruck. "Miss, are you okay?! If you're here to check in then you'll have to wai-" before Ochaco could step any closer and finish her sentence, Muni kicked her to the side and jogged towards Hatsume's room past the other two.

Uraraka, when she was kicked, a grunt escaped her lips before she slammed against the wall and sat there slumped. "Uraraka!" Devastated, Izuku was worried over the brunette and sprinted to her without a second thought. "Uraraka, please tell me you're okay!" Frantic, he used his gloved hands to lift her head and was astonished. Unconscious she was, he had to get her out of the hospital quickly to make sure she was going to be safe and so he picked her up into his arms.

"Midoriya! Take her outside, I'll take care of that woman and check out that scream!" With a finger directed to the elevator, Thirteen demanded and soon rushed down the hallway after the silver-haired woman. "Stop!" She continued and realized she was completely ignored, for the woman had stopped at the doorway with her Gatling Gun close to her legs.

Once she caught up, her gloved finger pointed at the zombie and threat laced her next words. "Who are you and why did you harm a U.A student?!" However, when she turned to see what the dead woman glared dangerously at, her hand lowered at the sight of the very villain who melted everything in the classroom before.

There stood the tall figure, clad in a tight, yellow suit and barely anything on him to expose skin. Only those heartless, strange eyes, looked down at Hatsume as she struggled to breathe. Everything in the room began to bust and melt at his presence, that was until Muni lifted her gun and started it up. "Wait- are you insane?! You can't shoot that in here, the student will take damage too!" Thirteen jumped in her way, just to earn a kick from the woman into the ribs and pushed aside.

Very slowly the villain glanced over his shoulder, while the heat intensified, and bore his heartless wide eyes into her black ones. Within seconds, bullets flew and smashed the window near Hatsume. "Aaaah!" Muni's scream, which was full of rage, reached his ears. She couldn't help it, the ever-growing anger in her heart urged her into a full sprint while she sprayed bullets and tried to lunge at the man.

Hatsume was lucky that the dead woman completely missed her in the bed, however, so did her lunge. Muni tried to jump-kick at the villain but she fazed through him when he turned into unbearable hot air. Nothing but heat radiated where he floated, hotter than the room itself and she felt it. From there she could feel the heat shift towards the vents and heard the metal shafts creak from the pressure of his temperature.

From a swift movement, off of Hatsume's bed, the blanket she had was swiped from her and Muni quickly turned it into a cloth rope with one end knotted tightly. As fast as she could she twirled it like a lasso with an instant sprint, leaping over the pinky's bed and straight through the broken window. Her one boot kicked at the remaining glass when she jumped out, then twisted and chucked the rope toward the next floor above.

The cloth's knot harshly wrapped around a pole that stuck out of the side and prevented her from falling, nothing but sheer determination shone brightly in her dead, strict eyes at that moment. Despite feeling gravity tug on her frame, her legs kicked and she ran along the side of the hospital wall.

The rope was soon released the moment she swung with great strength, pushing off of the wall and with her legs forcing herself high into the air. "AAAAH!" Closer and closer, the second Heatwave materialized into his normal form her boots struck his head monstrously.

A grunt escaped the mysterious man's masked lips, for he felt searing pain spike through his jaw and was punted so far that he even flew past the rooftop of the hospital.

With ease she swooped herself sideways and landed on the roof, using her Gatling Gun as a weight to bring herself down. Twisting around and raising her gun to the soaring villain, she watched as Heatwave turned into hot air. For a minute she nearly lost track of him until she saw the man appear before her, with his creepy plus-sign pupils staring into her dead ones.

"Lead me to your creator!" In her voice, a growl, deep from her throat, resonated and demanded the villain. She could see amusement in his eyes as he lifted his hand to rub his jaw, which seemed to have risen her anger a little more.

What she didn't expect was for him to turn into hot air again and this time, completely disappeared. There was no indication of where he went since he wasn't in the vent shafts to make any pressure, it only irked her more. "Gaaaaah!" With a roar of rage, her Gatling Gun's nose was used to pound the rooftop and would've dented it, if she used any more strength in her tantrum.

"I wouldn't move another inch, if I were you," A voice, deep and smooth, resonated to her side and made those infuriated black eyes move to see gray ones.

It was Edgeshot, he made it to the roof and watched the whole display up to where the villain disappeared. No one knew of a pair of red eyes in the shadows, watching her from the closest alleyway. Shigaraki, who stood next to Kurogiri, peeked at the misty man and groaned. "Alright, bring her back. She's in a tight spot and we can't afford to lose her right now. If she wants to stick to her plans, she'll have to come back," His nerves were edgy, as he started to scratch at his neck and walk through the portal Kuro had opened.

"Of course," the misty man agreed and walked through as well. Behind Muni, Edgeshot's eyes lit up with astonishment at the sight of a portal opening up behind her and a hand yanking her inside. The dead woman wasn't the least bit surprised, her piercing eyes continued to glare at the pro ninja before she completely went in.

After he saw the portal close, Shinya couldn't help but sigh at that. He was so close to catching her that time, his annoyance was clear when he lifted his palm to pinch between his brows and place a hand on his hip.

~~~Muni~~~
A heavy clunk echoed, throughout the room, when Muni placed her Gatling Gun on the bar top's corner and sat down on a stool. Across from Kurogiri who made his way behind the surface and moved his arms behind his back, the dead woman stared into nothingness as thoughts of that villain remained.
"You were almost caught!" Shiaraki's finger pointed at her with a raise of his voice, disappointment, and anger could be heard as she sat there ignoring him. "If it weren't for Kurogiri, you would've been taken in by now. Your plan was almost ruined when you chased after that guy! What were you thinking? That hospital was surrounded by heroes and you just walked right through them like an idiot!" His hand had slammed onto the surface next to her, he didn't like how her mind went from one goal to another so quickly.
In fact, it made doubts, at this point, he was uncertain whether or not to keep trusting her word. However, a nasty glint in her eyes when she looked up into his red ones, stirred caution. "That man- was a creation of Goroganda!" this time it was her turn to bark. With a rushed movement she rose from the stool and moved closer to his face, her fingers twitched when she placed them on the rims of her glasses.
"Goroganda Gechi, is a very hard man to find... You're lucky he has no interest in finding your little League here! He'd be able to without a doubt! Be happy I don't blind you and make you go insane," Roaring with a growl deep within her throat, rage laced her words until a misty hand across from her grasped her dead one.
"Miss Muni... I would advise you not to threaten our alliance. All For One put us together and it would be a mistake to smash, what we have right now since trust is hard to come by. I understand that all you feel anger for this man- but that doesn't mean you should take it out on others," Adamant, Kuro explained rather loudly to warn her of her situation and cautiously released her hand.
The moment he did, her hand let go of her glasses and bore dangerous black hues into his. The same could be said to this brat... annoyance, her anger dwindled slightly but it still lingered, for she watched Tomura turn and sit down on the furthest stool away from her. "I mentioned... That if anything related to Gechi appears, I would chase it down," With a close of her eyes, her legs moved so she could sit on the stool she stood from and turned to face the bar's surface. Both hands rested on the top of it, the image of that thing she attacked was still printed into her mind like a picture in an album.
"Yes and look where it almost got you. Just stick to your plan and destroy All Might from within. You said so yourself that your plan is also, likely to lure out Gechi," Kuro reminded and picked up a shot glass from a shelf, then poured a drink for Shigaraki.
"Why the hell is Gechi so important to you, anyway?" Tomura refused to look in her direction, however, Toga jogged up to her from behind and grinned excitedly.
"Because! She hates him! She told me he betrayed her and-" Before Toga could even finish her words, Muni's dead hand covered her mouth harshly and a sharp glare was what she received from those black eyes.
"That's none of your business," Annoyance could be heard in her voice, as well as a low growl of her anger that tried to escape. She paid the dirty blonde no mind after she covered her mouth and wasn't aware of how shocked the girl was. The dead woman didn't even notice the girl's cheeks turning red from the harsh grip and the pain she was beginning to feel; finally, roughly, her hand let go.
"We need to know what the hell we're dealing with, so it is our business," This time it was Dabi who spoke up. From behind them, he stepped closer, with both hands in his pockets, and those piercing blue eyes bore into the back of her head.
"He's right- you've barely told us anything about him and we've already told you about All Might. What exactly makes you think he'd be able to find us himself if he was interested," Tomura, with visible irritation in his red eyes (lol), peeked at the silver-haired woman with suspicion and gradually removed the mask over his face.
Those dried lips and flaky skin was revealed, when he went to sip at the drink he was given. He watched as her black eyes looked at him from their peripherals, she was debating whether or not to answer since to her it was very personal and angering. "Because- he can hack everything if it's a device of any kind. You guys have computers, a television, and even phones. You're not invincible," Again her eyes closed, and used one hand to prop her head up, the image of Gechi flashed through her mind for but a moment before it faded into nothingness.
"Haha! A hacker? They're not dangerous," Dabi's amused grin spread on his lips after he laughed but his expression fell into astonishment when he heard the dead woman's next words.
"Hackers can pinpoint anyone's location... Villain or hero, they could easily get someone in trouble. Which means-" Muni was about to finish her sentence when Shiragaki groaned and cut her off.
"Which means they can also send those damn heroes to our location and ruin everything. They're good at hiding and finding people who're also hiding- our base of operations would be useless," His fist slammed on the surface of the bar, and chose to lean forward. Scratching at his neck and scalp, he was purely annoyed and frustrated at the thought.
Quietly, Muni stood from her seat and dragged her gun off of the surface. The thought of being away from everyone was too nice to pass up, so she chose to head to the hallway so she could be alone with her thoughts.
A long silence befell them all, while Toga rubbed her sore cheeks and watched the others curiously. "Hey! Shigaraki, did you visit Yukimura? If you did- did you tell her I said hi?!" Happy, delighted, the dirty blonde's hands curled cutely near her waist as her natural blush began to taint her cheeks.
"Ah... About that," a moment's pause, Tomura lifted his head with a slight movement of his shot glass. "I have a way to bring Yukimura more to her senses. She's still struggling and fighting her darker side. So, I'll just continue what her father had planned," Said the flaky man as he took the last sip of his drink and whirled around so he could lean back against the bar's surface; he ignored the dirty-blonde with little to no care at all for her question.
"And- what's that?" Dabi's arms folded when he asked. The tilt of his head and the curiosity in his eyes were proof enough, that he was interested. "From what I recall, you hated that man. Why the sudden change, eh?" Even Kurogiri was curious now. After hearing him ask that, they all peeked at the leader and waited for a while before Shigaraki finally replied.
"That bastard made a good point... Yukimura's stubborn and has been fighting her darker side for the longest time. We came close to snapping her into accepting her other side, to fully accept herself. If she does, she'd benefit the League in many ways. We could use her... But what he was going to do was to find marriage candidates- villains, who she could marry so that way she wouldn't be able to stray from that path. He wanted her to continue his family's work and keep the Hitman's history alive. It's smart... Making her marry a villain would've been the best choice to keep her from swaying," With that said, from his side, he and Dabi couldn't help but gasp when Toga squealed with excitement.
"That sounds so romantic! Imagine all of the blood two villains in love, could spill on the street! How happy they could be!" With both palms cupping her cheeks, the poor girl nearly had a nose bleed at the thought of blood surrounding a villainous married couple. Happily jogging along like it's a normal day and slitting throats as they laughed.
Returning to their conversation and sighing at the girls' strange, gruesome fantasies, Dabi looked back at the leader with a mischievous smirk. "So- you're saying, you're going to marry her off to someone? Who in the right mind would want to marry someone like her? I can imagine a cutthroat or maybe someone with blood lust but that's about it," Rubbing his neck, his attention moved to the side as he pondered on who could even have the potential to be with Haru.
"I'm going to..." After Tomura answered him with haste and anger, silence befell them all once more and Kurogiri couldn't help but sigh at their bewildered expressions.
"Shigaraki Tomura, believes, that if he marries Yukimura, it'd be the only way for her to come to her senses and fully accept herself. It would be beneficial to the league and herself, as he said. If you ask me- I think Shigaraki feels a little sympathetic towards her," Just when the misty man was about to reach for a wine glass to wipe off with his rag, a harsh clunk from his shot glass onto the surface from the said man nearly made him lose his grip.
"Are you trying to start something... Kurogiri? I'm sitting right here and I can hear you. Keep your damn thoughts to yourself," As if on cue, Tomura stood from his seat and made his way to the hallway, swiftly recalling the moment when he talked with Kuro before he approached the brunette. Dabi wasn't around at the time, nor was Toga, they discussed the idea before he even confronted the girl and explained it to her.
"Where are you going?" the misty man's question didn't even make the leader stop, he just continued his way and ignored him.
Once he was out of earshot, just before he fully passed the pig-tailed woman, his red eyes peeked at her from his peripherals and glared daggers. "When's your plan going to happen? I'm getting tired of waiting," asked the flaky man as he waited and felt a faint surge of annoyance swell in his chest.
"The moment she convinces a student in U.A to drop out. That's when it'll all start," the dead woman adjusted her glasses, not once did her posture move, for she stood there with one foot in front of the other and closed her eyes.
"What makes you think she'll even do it? Who's to say she'll actually force someone out of U.A when she's been fighting her other side?" The more he asked, the more irritable he became and his fingers began to scratch at the skin on his neck.
"She will... Like her father, she'll get rid of any and all witnesses. She'll kill or scare those who have hurt her and her friend... I've been watching her for a while before I demanded this League to take her in. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree," Muni chose to ignore the suspicious stare at the back of her head after she walked past him and wandered further down the hall.
