Thanks for the amazing response to this story. It's a lot of fun. I'm glad everyone is enjoying the twists and turns. Season 1 can be very fun to play with. Enjoy this latest and keep reviewing! Here are individual responses to reviews:

Ghostwriter: I know, not a good situation for anyone. Glad you like how Greg is being brought in. Glad you're enjoying it!

Jennifer Baratta: No, none of that went as planned. Glad you're enjoying!

Sexystarwarslover: Yep, she did it and she dragged Snow thru the mud. Yep, she's trying to play the innocent, caring Aunt. But we know the truth. Yeah, they need to break the curse ASAP. It's not looking good. But we know Snowing is up for the fight. Glad you're enjoying!

Number Ten: Yep, the town is in huge trouble. You're right, the final battle might start before the curse. Glad you're enjoying!

Grace5231973: That seems to be the golden question right now. Glad you're enjoying!

Zariah: Glad you enjoyed it! It was very dramatic. I know, I wish they'd realize it's true love's kiss, but only from Emma. Glad you're enjoying!

AnonSnowing: Glad you like the tribal names. I'm not surprised that the Rainwaters took so easily to Snow either. Yep, Regina is the lesser of two evils. Yep, she did. She outed her connection to Snow and is acting like the innocent, caring Aunt. Greg is not helping either and I agree, Narcissa is sickening. I love Snowing's love too. Glad you're enjoying it!

The Grey Jedi2020: Glad you're caught up!

Chapter 47: Midnight Musings

When they arrived home at their apartment and Emma went up to the loft, their lips met feverishly and their hands explored with intimate intent. They truly didn't know if they would get the results they wanted from the election and could very well face an entirely new Storybrooke soon. He lifted her up and carried her to their bed, where clothes became puddles on the floor. Lovemaking ensued, as they moved together in a perfect rhythm

"I love you…" Snow breathed, as she gently grazed her teeth on his shoulder in response to him edging her closer and closer to her climax and bringing her mind blowing pleasure, as always. He could only manage a throaty moan at the moment, but kissed her passionately in response, as he made love to her. Their eyes locked, as their bodies moved, seeking completion. His smoldering gaze, full of love, desire, and lust alone almost made her come and she bit her bottom lip to keep what she knew would be a very loud moan from escaping. Neither of them were quiet during sex and she only hoped Emma was already asleep. She shuddered and whimpered, as his hands roamed her body and she hooked her legs around his waist in effort to somehow get him even closer than he already was. As she neared the rush of pleasure that was coming, she raked her nails along his back and he would proudly wear her markings as always. His lips worshiped her trembling body and soon, they achieved the completion they sought and collapsed together, beneath the sheets. They kissed and caressed softly in the wake of the coupling and spoke with their eyes for a while. Only once they settled in each other's arms and she rested atop his chest, with his arm slung protectively around her did she speak of her fears.

"What if she wins?" she asked.

"We'll resist her…just as we did Regina. I know it's different now and this world works differently, but the Sheriff's department will not cater to her every whim like Graham was forced to with Regina," he promised.

"I know…that's what worries me. She tends to go straight to murder for people that are in her way. I wasn't even born and because a mirror told her that I might be prettier than her, she wanted to kill me," Snow reasoned.

"She's deranged and we'll find a way to defeat her. We always do," he promised, as his phone chimed and he reached for it.

"It's a text from Gold," he said.

"What does it say?" she asked.

"The results are in," he said, as they looked at each other and she waited for him to tell her the rest with bated breath.

Narcissa accepted the glass of champagne from Greg, as they enjoyed a little pre-celebration.

"That went well…I've waited a long time for revenge against that bitch," he said. Narcissa smirked.

"The look on her face was quite amusing…but making my niece look like an unruly little tramp to the town was the icing on my cake tonight," she said.

"Yeah…seducing a married man and then getting him to leave his wife is quite a feat. She must have some kind of lure about her," he mentioned.

"She always has. Everyone always falls all over themselves for my fair little niece," she said, clenching her fist, as she remembered the mirror entity tormenting her.

Flashback.

Eva's stomach was round with child and she watched from the sidelines, as everyone doted upon her pregnant sister. The little nuisance wasn't even born yet and all in the Kingdom were already falling all over themselves about their soon to be darling Princess. It was infuriating. Even the peasants were enamored by her sister and her little one. It had always disgusted her that Eva even bothered to consort with such people that were so clearly beneath her. She stormed off to her chambers and chucked the goblet in her hand at the wall, shattering it into a million pieces. She let out a shrill, angry yell and pulled the sheet off her prized mirror. Even when she traveled, she always ordered that enchanted mirror traveled with her, even though it was part of her torment these days.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall…who is the fairest of all?" she questioned, as she had a million times before. The mirror entity appeared and these days she could swear he almost seemed smug, even though the expression on his gray, motionless face never really changed.

"You are, my dearest Queen Narcissa…but as you know, another shall soon usurp that title," he said. Narcissa clenched her teeth.

"She is a babe, not even free of the womb yet…how can she be fairer than me!?" Narcissa raged.

"She will be kind and loved by all. You are alone and hated. Beauty on the outside is not everything, my dear Queen," he said.

"Then…then perhaps I will still be more beautiful than she?" Narcissa asked, with a note of hope in her voice. If the mirror could have cackled at her, it probably would have. These days, the entity seemed to quite enjoy her misery, but then who wouldn't be if they were trapped in a mirror and forced to look upon this vain and deluded Queen every day.

"No…I am afraid she will be quite stunning. Even her name will tell how fair she will be. I see but a silhouette of her future and she is quite breathtaking. Ebony hair. Skin white as snow…and lips as red as a rose. No…she will be far more beautiful than you…" he said, further enraging her, as a temper tantrum ensued and she destroyed her room.

"I'll never forget when I saw that heart in a box. Tamara told me why it glowed…but I wasn't sure if I could ever really believe all that," he said. She smirked and sipped at her champagne.

"You mean the magic part," she said. His eyes widened.

"You know?" he asked.

"Tamara worked for me…she was becoming disillusioned with the Home Office and their empty promises. I told her I could lead her to the place she was looking for and I did. It was purely coincidental that Neal came to town. Last she knew, he said he'd never want anything to do with his father ever again," Narcissa replied.

"But magic?" he asked.

"The magic is irrelevant…at least for now. What matters is that we win the Mayor's office and then all this town's secrets will be in my hands," she replied.

"As long as she pays," Greg said.

"Oh she will…they all will," Narcissa promised, as there was a knock on her door. Greg answered it and let Lucian and Malachi in.

"We just came from the Court House. Congratulations, Madam Mayor," Lucian said, as Narcissa's smirk grew into a full blown evil smile.

Regina couldn't sleep and so she went downstairs to brew some tea. Thankfully, Henry was upstairs asleep and had all the confidence in the world that she would win. But she felt differently and could feel the dread knotting in her stomach. She poured hot water in her tea cup and let the tea steep for a few minutes, before taking a soothing sip. Normally, she would go for the hard apple cider, but she felt that wouldn't look good at all right now. Deep down, she knew if she lost that she probably deserved this on some level. Months ago, she wouldn't have ever thought that, but seeing someone like Narcissa come into town and saw her own evil streak in her. She looked at herself in the living room mirror and reflected on how control had slipped away from her in just a few months. Her perfect curse had slowly eroded and it irritated her that she had to team up with one of the reasons for that. Emma Swan and her parents. She had no choice though, because Narcissa Blake was the bigger threat. There was a nuclear option, but she didn't want to think about that yet. She finished her tea and put it in the sink, just as her phone buzzed. She saw that it was Dr. Hopper and the knot of dread in her stomach tightened.

"Hello?" she answered and listened to him on the other end. Her expression tightened and her teeth clenched.

"I see…" she said simply, as she ended the call and paused a moment, before chucking her phone across the room, which smashed it to pieces. She had lost. She was no longer the Mayor of Storybrooke and she had no idea how to deal with this. Other than Henry, power had been the only thing that mattered to her whatsoever. With power, she had everything. She had kept Snow under her thumb, alone and miserable, with only her job bringing her any kind of satisfaction. She had taken her daughter and surrounded her with what she couldn't have. Children. But then Emma came to town and somehow the two idiots had gotten their memories back, restoring their true love. Then Neal came along and her son wanted to be with his father and biological mother more than her. If that wasn't enough, Narcissa had come to town and though they shared a hatred of Snow, the woman had no intention of teaming up with her. She just wanted power…her power. And now she had it. Snow and David were insistent that they would rally together to fight her, but Regina didn't really like that option. It was the slow way and it required working with her enemies. Henry loved them, but she wasn't sure she could ever accept that. There was one other option, but it was the nuclear option. Henry would be very angry with her, but it would destroy Narcissa and all her enemies in one fell swoop. Then she could take Henry and escape. There was no going back to their land, but there was an entire land of anonymity ahead of them. As for Henry's anger, she knew there was a solution to that as well. It was some of the last magic she had, but it may be the only way to start over. Getting that wasn't the hardest part though. What she needed was hidden away and activating it in a place without magic would be quite unpredictable. There was the possibility it wouldn't work at all. On the other hand, if she didn't and the curse broke, the town would come for her with pitchforks, rather than Narcissa. She had to prepare in case she had to go with the nuclear option and she would make her move soon…

August walked into the shop that night, despite the closed sign, where Gold and Neal were waiting with Belle.

"Well?" Neal asked.

"Sorry…but Narcissa won. I'm on my way to write the headline and put the paper to bed now," August replied. Neal sighed and ran a hand over his face.

"Great…what now?" he asked, looking at his father.

"The curse needs to break," Gold said.

"Which we have no idea why it hasn't or what's stopping it," Neal responded.

"I'm stumped too…Emma believes, which I thought would never happen anyway. It should have broken it," August said.

"How's the leg?" Neal asked. He scoffed.

"You saw the way I was limping in here…not great," he replied.

"Rumple…isn't there something you can do for him?" Belle asked.

"That would require magic, I'm afraid," he replied and she nodded quietly in understanding.

"So…to my earlier question, what now?" Neal asked.

"We prepare a counter move now," Gold said.

"Well…what does it say?" Snow asked, but the look on his face told it all.

"Narcissa won…" he said.

"Regina is out and we have a new Mayor that's worse," he added. Snow's shoulders fell.

"Do we wake Emma?" she asked. He shook his head.

"She'll know soon enough," he replied, as he took her in his arms and kissed her forehead.

"We'll figure this out…" he promised, but he was unsure what their next move was.
