While the party raged on at the house, the two newest recruits were in the hangar, getting ready to head out for their Nightly Patrol.
Jasmine was stretching out her legs, wearing her uniform. As much as she wanted to be part of the Black Ops division, she and Marissa were not picked. However, she couldn't deny, the blue material with the red straps looked very good on her. "Hey Marissa! Why are we here, instead of celebrating the Home Coming of Callie's kittens?" She asked.
Marissa was fueling up her Cylcotron when she heard Jasmine's question. She too was wearing her uniform, watching the fuel gauge to make sure the fuel doesn't craze the paint, if it spilled over from over filling. "Jasmine, you and I are the lowest in rank. Even though, there is no real hierarchy in SWAT, we still are so-called Rookies and you know exactly what that means." She turned off the fuel pump, returned the nozzle to the pump, as she said, "Besides, once this patrol is over, we can head out, and continue celebrating with the rest."
"As fun as that sounds, I have a shift in the morning, Marissa. At least, you don't have Felina as a lieutenant. As much as we love her as a friend, she's a real stickler when at the Enforcers." She lowered her left leg from a workbench, made her way over to her own Cyclotron. Jasmine loved her Cyclotron. The shorter stance made it more maneuverable than its larger cousins, which gave her an advantage out on the streets. She threw her right leg over the saddle and started the machine up.
Marissa had already mounted her Cylcotron and had her helmet on. She watched as Jasmine mounted hers. But for some reason, she paid particular attention to her hips, noticing how well her uniform fit and accentuated her lower-half. Shaking her head in disbelief that she was actually checking out her best friend, since she knew she liked toms, not she-cats. But there was something about Jasmine that made her question herself. 'What's wrong with me? I like toms. Though, I do have to admit, Jas looks hot in her uniform.' Her eyes went wide in her her mask at that thought. Before she said, or did something she would regret, she said, "The city won't patrol itself, let's go, Acrobat!" And took off up the ramp.
Jasmine finished securing her mask and helmet to her head when she heard Sure-shot speak, then tear up the ramp into the yard. "What's with her and why is she so anxious to get out there?" She asked. Then followed her friend up the ramp.
The two heroines patrolled the Uptown part of the city first. Receiving several accolades from both the citizens, as well as some Enforcers. Apparently, Felina's influence has started a change in the ranks in the Enforcers, to one that welcomes SWAT as allies, instead of threats.
Sure-Shot and Acrobat had to stop for a traffic light, when Sure-Shot spotted Debbie out of the corner of her right eye. She noticed Debbie was holding Jennifer's left paw, tightly in hers. "Debbie! How have to been?" Sure-Shot asked the teen.
Debbie brought Jennifer over to the two SWAT Kats, then hugged Sure-Shot and replied, "Much better. Peter didn't take it too well with me breaking up with him. He tried to tell me that I belonged to him. That was when, Jennifer slugged him, knocking him to the ground, saying, 'You had your chance, Peter and you blew it! It's my turn to date her, and I love her!' She kissed me right in the hall." She looked past Sure-Shot to Acrobat, then asked, "Is she your partner?"
Sure-Shot turned her head to the left to face Acrobat, smiled as her heart thumped a little faster, then turned back to Debbie, and answered, "Yes, she is. Debbie, Jennifer, please meet Acrobat."
Debbie went around the front of Sure-Shot's Cyclotron, extended her right paw to her, then said, "Hi, I'm Debbie, it's niece to meet you, Acrobat."
Acrobat took her paw in hers, then said, "Nice to meet you too, Debbie."
Debbie took her paw back, then asked, "Are you a Gymnast, or something, given your Code Name?"
"I had aspirations of being an Olympic Gymnast, when I was younger, Debbie. But those aspirations were shattered by someone I thought cared for me," Acrobat replied, then said, "Why don't you, and your girlfriend come by Pirouette's Dance Studio sometime and see what I can really do, when I decide to cut loose?"
"Can I?" Debbie asked, excitement building in her young body.
"Sure you can.I might even teach you a few stretching exercises that will make you even more limber than you are," Acrobat said.
The thought of another she-cat putting her paws on her girlfriend's body, set Jennifer's body on fire. She let out a low growl and the fur on her back stood out. "Deb, I can show you how to limber up, just as well as she can." Jennifer said.
"Relax, Jen," Debbie said. "She's almost a professional gymnast. We both can go and learn something from her. Besides, she has no interest in me, not when she's dating Sure-Shot."
"What!? We are not dating!" Acrobat and Sure-Shot said.
"You're not?! You could have fooled me, by the vibes you two are throwing,"Debbie said.
Sure-Shot and Acrobat looked at each other, briefly, then back to Debbie.
"Aw, come on. You both never thought about dating each other? Sure-Shot opened my eyes to the fairer sex, maybe I could do the same for you two," Debbie said before she turned to her girlfriend, and said, "Jen, please come here."
Jennifer left her spot. She stopped next to Debbie, took her paw in hers, then asked, "Yes, Deb?"
Debbie turned to Jennifer, ran the fingers of her free paw through Jennifer's hair, said, "You're so beautiful," and kissed her.
Jennifer fell under the spell of Debbie's kiss. Her paws gently slid down Debbie's back to the base of her tail, as she deepened the kiss.
Acrobat was slightly shocked, seeing the two teenaged-she-cats in such as passionate lip lock, right out in public. Since joining the Enforcers, and later SWAT, she had witnessed Tina and Katerina kissing like that, several times. However, Sure-Shot simply watched the two girls, making sure they didn't cross a line, into Public Indecency.
Their radios sparked to life, stating, "All available Enforcers, proceed to MegaKat National. Robbery in. Progress."
"That's us, Acrobat," Sure-Shot said." She turned to Debbie and Jennifer, then said, "You two may love each other, but your PDA is going over the top. Tone it down, before someone calls the Enforcers."
Jennifer withdrew from the kiss, but left her paws right where they were. "We'll behave," she said.
Sure-Shot smiled back at them and was about to tell them, she was happy they found each other. But before she was able, Jennifer said, "in public. But when we get back to my house. I'm going to turn her into a pile of very satisfied she-cat."
Sure-Shot shook her head, then said, "Just keep it out of public view." She revved her Cyclotron a couple of times, then said, "I'm happy for you both!" And took off.
Acrobat gave them a two-finger wave with her right paw, and took off after her partner.
As they rode, Sure-Shot kept looking in her mirror at her partner. She especially liked the way her hair, billowed behind her as she rode her Cyclotron. "She is one good looking she-cat. How is she still single?" Sure-Shot softly said.
However, her mic was on. So, Acrobat heard almost everything she said. "What was that, Sure-Shot? I didn't hear everything you said."
Sure-Shot silently cursed and made a vow to be more careful with what she said in the future. Then replied, "Nothing important, Acrobat. The bank is up ahead, you ready?"
Acrobat was more than ready to jump into action. With all of the new Toys, Jake had set her up with and her new uniform, she was more than ready. "Been itching to get here, partner! Can't wait to dive in and show these punks you don't mess with SWAT!" And took off ahead of Sure-Shot.
Sure-Shot had to open up the throttle on her Cyclotron to even catch up to her partner, who was very easily, bobbing in and out of traffic. Worry filled her as she could only watch her friend, partner, and possibly, something more, cut off a large car with no more than a few inches to spare.
Eventually, Acrobat skidded to a stop, right in front of the bank. She now sat on her Cyclotron, with both of her legs lowered to the ground leaning forward against the windscreen.
Sure-Shot brought her Cyclotron to a stop, right next to Acrobat's, turned her upper body to face her, then spat, "You can't go off like that! What would have happened if you hit a car, or worse! I'm so mad at you right now! I don't know whether to slug you to knock some sense into that beautiful head of yours, or do this!" On impulse, she pulled Acrobat to her, and kissed her, hard.
Acrobat's eyes went wide in surprise, then slowly closed as the intensity of Sure-Shot's kiss took over. Even though, she was very confused as to the turn of events, she started kissing her back.
One of the Enforcer sergeants who was close enough for them to hear him, coughed into his left fisted paw, then asked, "Don't you two have a job to do?"
They withdrew from their first kiss, looked into each other's mask covered eyes, then Sure-Shot gently stroked the fur on Acrobat's left cheek with her right paw, as she said, "We'll continue this conversation, later." With the moment shattered, she focused on the sergeant, asking, "What's the situation?"
"Three perps, two with long guns, holding six hostages, two of them are very young kittens," he answered.
"Do you have access to the surveillance cameras?" Acrobat answered.
"Sure do," the sergeant responded. "Come to the Command Post, you can have a look for yourselves. By the way, you two look good together."
His comment confused the two, even more. They were still contemplating why they kissed each other in the first place, not being seen as a couple. Acrobat leaned over to Sure-Shot, then said, "We'll talk about this later," and dismounted her Cyclotron.
Sure-Shot followed Acrobat and the sergeant into a white trailer, with a large blue retractable awning over the main door. The sergeant ascended the short metal stairs, and opened the door before ushering Sure-Shot and acrobat inside.
Once inside and the door was secured, the sergeant pointed to a large monitor mounted on the wall, then stated, "It's a little grainy, but you can see the three perps, dressed in dark colors over by the tables by the far end. The hostages are located in front of the Teller positions. As of now, they appear to be unharmed, but frightened."
Acrobat went over to the monitor and her eyes focused on two young mothers, draped over a pair of strollers, shielding their kittens from the sights. Her blood started to boil in her small body at the sight. 'How dare they hold those innocent citizens! Cowards! That is what they are! If they are scared now, what until I get in there, they will be lucky if I don't use my Claws to tear them to shreds!'
Sure-Shot slowly made her way over to her partner, when she observed the very aggressive movements of her tail. When she was close enough, she gently placed her left paw on Acrobat's right shoulder, then asked, "Are you alright?"
Without removing her intense gaze from the monitor in front of her. And when one of the perps, started getting a little aggressive with an older male hostage, her tail shot straight back, then answered, "What the hell is wrong with cats today!? Those hostages have nothing to do with the bank, and yet, they are being held completely against their wills! And what are we doing about it? Standing in a frigging trailer, watching it unfold on a TV!"
That was when the perpetrator shoved the older tom to the floor and appeared to be yelling at him.
"That's it! I'm going in there!" Acrobat said and started to turn around.
She was stopped by Sure-Shot, placing both of her paws on her shoulders, and asking, "What are you going to do!? You don't have a plan, your actions might get the hostages hurt, or killed! Is that what you want, Acrobat!?"
"No! Its not what I want!" Acrobat answered, then said, "I told you what my parents do for a living already, and I hate it! However, they would never stoop so low to pull this shit!"
"I know that! These jerks need to be taken down, and we are going to do it! Please calm down so we can come up with an idea," Sure-Shot said.
Acrobat rested her weight on her right hip, then said, "You have my undivided attention, for now. But if those assholes in there, dare to lay a finger on the hostages again, I'm barging in there, with my Glovetrix, firmly attached to my paw!"
"I expect nothing less from you. I'll actually be right my your side. Let's talk to the Enforcers, they may have a few ideas of how to get in there, without being seen," Sure-Shot said.
"Now that you two had your 'Lover's Spat'," the sergeant said, jokingly of course. He started sweating, when Acrobat and Sure-Shot, shot him a Death Glare, and also since they were armed to the teeth. "The bank has a Key Box by the rear entrance. That box holds a Master Key for the bank. Use that, and you'll will have your way in."
Sure-Shot lowered her paws from Acrobat's shoulders to her hips, then said, "We now have our way in. So, here's what we are going to do." You and I, Acrobat are going to enter the bank through the rear. Since there are only three perpetrators, and they seem inexperienced, it should be relatively easy to wrap them up in a gift package for the Enforcers."
"Now, wait a minute, miss," the sergeant said. "The Enforcers are not going to sit idly by, while you and Acrobat go in there and rescue the hostages with all of your fancy gear. We want those jerks, behind bars and the hostages safe as much as you two do."
"SWAT and the Enforcers don't exactly have a good track record of working well together, do we, sergeant?" Acrobat asked.
"No we don't," he replied. "That is one of the things Lieutenant Feral, soon to be Commander Feral wants to change. If we want want to make this city better, for all, the Enforcers and SWAT must be able to work together as a single unit."
"I like the way you think, sergeant," Acrobat said. Then continued, "New plan, we go in through the rear, with two Enforcer Officers, secure the perps, and release the hostages, without getting shot, or captured ourselves."
"Nice idea, partner," Sure-Shot said. She turned to the sergeant and asked, "Which two Enforcers are going to be joining us?"
"As much as I would like to see you two in action, I have to stay behind and lead. However, I do have two officers in mind for the detail. I'll be right back," he said and left the trailer.
A few minutes past and the sergeant returned with two toms. Each one was a head and a half taller than the sergeant, had short blonde hair, tan fur, and were decently built.
The two officers eyes roamed over the two SWAT Kats' bodies and really liked what they saw.
The first one's eyes locked onto Sure-Shot, paying particular attention to her chest, curvy hips and waist, and her long legs. He went over to her, then said, "Hi, I'm Daniel. Its going to be nice, to be paired up with such a beautiful she-cat."
Sure-Shot ignored his blatant pass, focusing on the monitor instead.
Daniel's partner made his way over to Acrobat, leaned against the wall, crossed his arms over his puffed out chest, then said, "Hey good lookin', after this is over, care to have a drink, with me?"
"Sorry, I'm in a quite serious relationship and I will not throw it away, for you, or anyone else!" Acrobat said.
And as the words left her mouth, Sure-Shot's stomach dropped at the thought, she not only didn't have a chance with Acrobat, but she shredded her friendship with her as well.
'Shit!' Acrobat thought, as her face contorted with worry. She slowly turned her head to face Sure-Shot, who's eyes were on her. Acrobat not only could see, but feel her partner, and best friend's apprehension.
Sure-Shot's eyes started tearing, then she ran out of the trailer, slamming the door behind her.
"I'll be right back, I need to check on my partner," Acrobat said, following her friend.
She found Sure-Shot facing the pair of Cyclotrons, with her back facing the trailer, hugging herself, tightly. She walked over to her, asking, "Sure-Shot, are you alright?"
"No, I'm not alright, Acrobat," she replied, the upset sound of her voice clearly depicted how she was feeling at the moment. "I know it was stupid of me to kiss you back there, and even stupider to think, I might have a chance of being with you."
"Sure-Shot, you're not stupid. You weren't the only one, kissing the other. I.. I kind of liked it," Acrobat said.
Sure-Shot turned around, faced Acrobat, then asked, "You did?"
"Yes, I did. Not sure why, since I'm in love with Adonis' brother. Are we really going to have this conversation, in the middle of a Hostage Crisis?" Acrobat asked.
"No, we're not. I need to know, that kiss is not going to hinder our partnership, Acrobat?" Sure-Shot asked.
Acrobat briskly walked over to Sure-Shot, grabbed ahold of the fur on her cheeks, then kissed her. She withdrew from the kiss, rested her forehead against Sure-Shot's, then said, "I hope that answers your question. Our conversation is going to be very interesting, to say the least." She quickly kissed her again, then said, "We have hostages to rescue, then we can go to my apartment. I have a bottle of wine I have been saving for a special occasion. I think its time I opened it."
"Do I have to pack an Overnight bag?" Sure-Shot asked.
Acrobat rubbed the left side of Sure-Shot's face, as she answered, "You might want to, just in case."
Sure-Shot let out a light purr, then kissed Acrobat's paw. "Let's go, I can hardly wait to have our little talk."
Acrobat took Sure-Shot's left paw in her right. Then the two walked back to the trailer, with the ends of their tails, twisting around the others.
"See, Danny. I told you they were lesbos," Danny's partner said.
Sure-Shot let go of Acrobat's paw, confidently walked up to Daniel's partner, then spat, "We are not Lesbians!" She looked over her left shoulder to Acrobat, then back to the offending tom, then continued, "We might be Bi, but that doesn't affect our ability to kick theirs, or your ass, nor is it any of your concern!"
"It is my concern, babe! I can't go in there, not knowing if the two she-cats that are supposed to be watching my back, don't go off into a corner, to go get their freak on!" He responded.
Sure-Shot balled up her left paw, and let it fly. Directly into the tom's groin.
He went down faster than a sack of potatoes, holding what was left of his tomhood, as she roared, "One, we are highly trained, by T-Bone and Razor themselves. We perfectly know how to watch out partner's back! And two, as much as I would love to get, my freak on with her, Neither she or I will jeopardize our mission, which is to get those hostages out of there, completely safe!" She turned around and grabbed Acrobat's left paw, pulling her along, saying, "Come on, partner, we have a job to do!"
Acrobat made it a point to slam the trailer's door closed behind her.
The sergeant winced as the trailer shook, then turned his head to his two officers, then said, "I can't believe, both of you acted like that, especially you, Derek!"
"What did I do, sergeant?" Derek asked from the floor.
"Everything, the Sexual Harassment manual said not to do! You are lucky, she was holding back, or you wouldn't be breathing. As of now, you are relieved of duty! Tomorrow morning, you are to meet with Commander Feral, and believe me, he is going to know, why you are there! Dismissed!"
Sure-Shot stopped at the rear entrance of the bank and eyes the Key Box, located high on the wall by the gray steel door. She opened the box with the key the sergeant had given her earlier, pulled out the key, then said, "We both saw the layout of the bank, Acrobat. Once we enter, we make our way to the Teller's station. As long as we stay low, we will not be seen."
"So far, so good," Acrobat stated. "What else does your beautiful mind have planned?"
Sure-Shot smiled at her partner, then said, "We separate from there. You go right, and I go left. We observe the perps, and when they are together, we use our bolos to secure them."
Acrobat kissed her, then said, "Let's do this! The sooner we are done, the sooner we can have that talk, and figure out, why I can't seem to stop wanting to kiss you."
Sure-Shot kissed her back, then said, "I feel the same way." She inserted the key into the lock, gave it a firm twist to the right, and heard the lock disengage. She turned her head to face Acrobat, who was double checking the Glovetrix attached to her left paw, then asked, "Ready?"
Acrobat flexed the fingers on her left paw though the Glovetrix, then answered, "More than ready! Let's kick some tail!"
The two entered the bank, with Acrobat leading followed by Sure-Shot. Both she-cats, kept a very low stance as not to be seen. This made it very difficult for Sure-Shot to focus since every time she lifted her head, she was staring directly at Acrobat's backside, tail, and toned legs. 'I've got to get my head in the game, instead of focusing on my partner's tail section,' she thought.
Acrobat stopped at the back of the Teller's stations and crouched down, waiting for Sure-Shot, who was. Right behind her. Sure-Shot took a very similar position, checking her Glovetrix and her the short sword, Sensei had given her.
"I totally forgot you had that," Acrobat said, watching the light black colored blade with its razor sharp edge, glimmering in the lights.
Sure-Shot re-sheathed her sword, then said, "I still can't believe I can use this sword, almost as well as Sensei can."
"I'm glad you can, as well," Acrobat said. "Sensei looks awesome, but you, look exquisite."
"Thank you, be careful, Acrobat. I want to have that discussion with you, tonight, " Sure-Shot said, before she kissed her, once again. She smiled, then went off in her assigned direction.
Acrobat also focused on Sure-Shot's curvy backside and legs, as she said, "I want to have it, as well. Be careful yourself." And went off to take her position.
One of the perps, parted the blinds, looking at the massive about of Enforcers, surrounding the bank. He let the blinds return to their previous position, as he said, "We are so screwed! We have no chance of getting out of this, without being arrested!"
"Will you calm down!" Another said. "We aren't going to jail, we have the hostages as bargaining chips. Feral would never let anything happen to them."
The third perpetrator went over to one of the young mothers, then said, "You are awfully cute and so is your kitten. Care to have a Play date, once this is over?"
"Are you to of your mind?" She asked. "You, and your friends are robbing this bank and holding all of us against our will. What makes you think, I would ever be seen with you?"
"Out of my mind!" He said as he reached out and grabbed her. He brought her right to his face, then said, "I'm not crazy! I simply want to have a good looking she-cat on my arm!"
"Get away from me!" She started to push against him, trying to get away.
"Stop it!" He said and slapped her across the face. She hit the floor, holding her left paw to her stinging cheek.
Both Sure-Shot and Acrobat heard and saw the slap and sprang into action.
"Hey! Try doing that to a she-cat that can defend herself!" Acrobat said, as she sprung out of her hiding place with her legs spread wide crouch, her Glovetrix, pointing directly at the offending tom, and her eyes almost slits.
Sure-Shot pulled her sword, took a deep breath, then left her spot. "Let the hostages go, and maybe, the Enforcers might go easy on you!" She ordered.
"Well, look what we have here?" The female said. "The Enforcers called in the SWAT Kats! Where are Razor and T-Bone? Or any of the famous ones?"
"They don't need to be here, my partner and I are more than capable of taking care of you three!" Acrobat stated.
"Well boys, I guess we get to take out the Second Stringers," the female per said. "Get 'em!"
The toms went on a very sloppy attack, one both Sure-Shot was able to dodge and Acrobat was able to use the tom as a vault, flipping over him, then turning on her left foot and firing a cement bomb, securing his feet firmly to the ceramic tiles.
"One down, two to go," She triumphantly said.
The other tom, tried to punch Sure-Shot in the face again. But at the last second, she moved to the left. He stumbled forward, unable to gain his footing, then fell to the floor.
Sure-Shot went on the attack. She spun on the toe of her right boot, then launched herself, right at him. Landing with her left foot on his chest. She brought the business end of her sword to his face, then said, "You move, my face will be the last thing you, ever see! Got it!?"
He looked at the sharp tip, inches from his face, then up to the mad-as-hell she-cat holding the sword. "I give," he said.
"Good!" She said, shifting her sword to her left paw and removing a large black nylon tie from her belt. Then said, as she removed her left foot from his chest, "On your stomach, paws behind your back!"
He rolled over, placing his paws just above his tail with his finger interlaced.
Sure-Shot quickly secured his paws together with the tie. Then for added measure, she said, "You three are the lowest forms of life out there! Hope you enjoy your time in jail!"
The female perp saw both of her partners easily taken out by the two SWAT Kats, and made a desperate move. She grabbed the older tom by his left arm, brought him to her, held the rifle against his throat, then said, "I'm going to walk out of here with this old-timer as my Escape Card! Either one of you, makes a move, he gets it!"
She started walking backwards to the front doors of the back, still holding her hostage, tightly to her, and not really paying attention to where she was going.
As Sure-Shot and Acrobat dealt with the two toms, Daniel entered the bank through the front doors, standing just out of sight. And when he witnessed the she-cat taking the tom as a Bargaining Chip. He removed his Tactical Helmet from his head, raised it high up, and patiently waited for the right moment.
Both Sure-Shot and Acrobat, slowly advanced on the she-cat with Acrobat holding her very ready Glovetrix and Sure-Shot holding her sword with both paws.
'I can't believe, I'm actually going to get away,' she thought as her feet touched the red carpet by the entrance.
Daniel made his move. He stepped out from his hiding place and brought the helmet down on her head, knocking her out. "Oops! I guessI really should pay more attention when securing my gear." He said with a smile.
"That's one way of subduing a perp," Sure-Shot said, sheathing her sword behind her back. "You know, that method is not in the Enforcers' Training Manual. Lt. Feral is going to have a fit, when she sees the footage."
"The Lieutenant will never know. I cut the cameras before entering the bank, "Daniel said, securing the perp's paws with a pair of cuffs. He turned his head to face Sure-Shot and Acrobat, then said, "My brother is a complete jerk, he never should have said those things to you two. I'm sorry, I should have stopped him."
Acrobat secured her Glovetrix to her left thigh, went over to Daniel, then said, "You don't have to be, you didn't do, or say anything wrong." She looked over her right shoulder to Sure-Shot, then said, "We need to go. Take care of the hostages and thank the sergeant for us." She walked over to Sure-Shot, took her right paw in hers, then said, "Let's go, partner."
An hour and a half later, Marissa was staring at Jasmine's apartment door. She was wearing a tight pair of blue jeans, a red sweater, and carrying a small bag in her left paw. She held her fisted right paw up to the door, and just before she knocked, she gulped. She was almost as nervous about the conversation she was about to have, as when she took her Civil Servant's test.
Jasmine had just finished setting up the living room, when she heard the knock on her door. She left the room to greet Marissa. She stopped at a photo of her and Sean which was taken at the Fair. They both looked so happy, with the pink cotton candy stuck to their facial fur. "Sean, I love you," She said, pressing the tips of her two fingers of her left paw to Sean's face. "Please, forgive me. I need to let this play out." She turned away from the photo and opened the door.
Marissa thought she was going to pass out from the sight in front of her. Before her stood Jasmine, wearing a pair of minuscule black spandex shorts, and a equally tight top that stopped just above her rib cage, exposing her middle for all to see.
"Hey, Marissa," she said. "Come in, I have refreshments set up in the living room." And stepped aside to her Marissa enter.
Marissa crossed the threshold into Jasmine's apartment and after she closed the door, she went to run her fingers through Jasmine's hair.
Jasmine felt Marissa's fingers slip though her hair and gently took her paw in hers, then said, "Not yet, I need to be fully functioning, when we have our talk."
They walked into the living room and sat down next to each other on the couch.
Marissa put her bag down on the floor, while Jasmine uncorked the wine, poured, and said, "Marissa, no matter what happens here tonight, we are always going to be friends, agreed?" As she handed her a glass full of white wine.
"Agreed," Marissa responded, taking the glass from her.
Jasmine poured a glass for herself, put the open bottle back in the cooler, took a sip, then asked, "There is something more to our relationship, than a simple friendship. Frankly, I'm scared, and at the same time, feel better than I have in a very long time. Do you know what I mean?"
Marissa took a sip herself, lowered the glass to her lap, then said, "Jas, back in the hangar, I was confused as to why, I was watching you so closely. I did admit to myself, I was attracted to you. We met Debbie and Jennifer and when they kissed, I sort of envisioned us doing the same thing. And when you rode off and was almost hit, a deep feeling of dread ran though me, that I would never be able to tell you, or show you, what you really meant to me. I guess, that's why I kissed you. Then, you kissed me back." She lifted her head to face Jasmine, then asked, "Why did you kiss me, Jas?"
Jasmine took a long sip of her wine, put the glass down on the table, folded her left leg under her right, then took Marissa's paws in hers. "I guess, I've been sort of attracted to you for a long time, Marissa. Ever since I joined SWAT and Mark introduced me to you, I wanted to know you better. It wasn't until Jake paired us up, and I started training with you, that I started having feelings toward you. At first, it was the way your body looked in your uniform, especially the way it stretched over your chest, threatening to rip. Then, I got to really know you. You told me things, no one else knows about you, we started to trust another, on a deeper level, and as Jake hoped, we developed a bond, so intimate, we can almost tell what the other is thinking, without saying a single word." She reached out to her glass, lifted it to her lips, and took another sip. And as she lowered the glass again, she said, "As to why I kissed you, your kiss was so intense, I couldn't help myself, but to give into it, and still do." She leaned in closer to Marissa, tilted her head to the right, and kissed her.
Marissa kissed her back, savoring the feeling of Jasmine's lips against hers. But before things spun out of control, she pulled back, and asked, "What about Sean? It wasn't that long ago, I told you you should say yes, if he asked you to marry him."
Jasmine sank back into the couch, folded her paws in her lap, then said, "I do love Sean, and if he did ask, I might say yes. However, what I feel for you, is so much more intense, Marissa. I don't want to let that feeling go."
"I don't want to let it go either, Jas. I can easily see myself, falling for you. So, where does that leave us? I value our friendship too much, to throw it away, on a fling," Marissa said.
"Our bond can't be broken, Marissa. It goes way too deep for that to occur. As for what this is, I don't think it's a fling. You said, you could see yourself falling for me, I can see myself, falling for you," Jasmine said. She lifted herself from the couch, went over to Marissa, straddled her lap, and leaned forward, trapping her head with her arms. "I'm going to kiss you, then throw caution to the wind as to what happens next," she said before kissing her.
Marissa wrapped her arms around Jasmine's neck, deepening the kiss. Ever since they parted ways, she's been wanting to kiss her, like they were doing. As she probed Jasmine's mouth with her tongue, her left paw traveled down Jasmine's back to her tail, then slipped under the waistband of her shorts.
Jasmine let out a deep purr when she felt Marissa's paw on her butt, then said in between kisses, "I want you, Marissa. I want you in my bed, now!"
Marissa picked Jasmine up as she stood, without breaking the kiss and carried her to her bedroom, kicking the door closed, behind her.
