Remember little Abigale from A SWAT Halloween? Well, she and her mother have been fleshed out. This chapter is the start of their story.
I also had a very difficult time with the first part of this chapter. You will have to let me know what you think.
Thanks Silver Sentinel for helping me with this one.
Enjoy!
After watching Sean for a few hours, Gregg retired to his bedroom, stripped to his underwear, and flopped, face first into his bed. The next morning, Gregg woke up when the sun started shining through the windows of his bedroom. He sat up, letting the sheet he was using to cover himself fall to his waist, revealing his naked upper half and stretched as he yawned. "Might as well get the coffee going. I know Sean's going to need it, and probably a few aspirins," Gregg said. He threw the sheet off the rest of his body and got out of the bed, walking to the hall door, wearing only a pair of black briefs.
He entered the living room and went over to the couch to make sure Sean hadn't vomited in his sleep. He quickly discovered Sean was still clean, but had a decent sized bruise on the side of his mouth. Courtesy of his right hook. "Too bad I had to mar that handsome face of yours, Sean. You're kind of cute. But I couldn't let you talk to Sharon like you were." He went over to the small kitchenette, went around the island, and started the Coffee Maker. He then went to the freezer, and pulled out an Ice Pack, and sat at one of the stools, waiting for the Coffee Maker to do its job, and maybe Sean to wake up.
After another few minutes passed, Sean woke with a throbbing headache and his face burning. He brought his right paw up to the side of his face, wincing at the pain as he touched it, and said, "What hit me?"
"That would be me," Gregg answered. Followed by, "Want some coffee?" He then took a sip from his mug.
"Coffee would be nice, but why fist to the face?" Sean asked, sitting up on the couch.
Gregg turned around, grabbing another mug from the counter, and filling it with coffee. He placed the pot back in the maker, and said, "You were saying some not so nice things to a lady. I had to shut you up, before she became deeply offended." He walked around the island, completely revealing himself to Sean. He sat down on Sean's left, passing him the coffee with his right paw, and the ice pack with his left.
Sean got an eyeful of Gregg's body clad only in his briefs and internally blushed as he thought, 'He's one handsome tom.' "Thanks," Sean said and took a sip of the coffee then placed the ice pack on his face. "I'll call Sharon, once my head stops pounding and apologize to her," Sean said.
"That would be good," Gregg said. "You really loved her, didn't you?"
Sean lowered the mug to his lap, as well as his eyes, and answered, "I did. I also sort of knew, things weren't going as I would have hoped, once Marissa showed up. I was foolish to think Jasmine and I could have continued dating when she was dating her. I'm such an idiot,".
"Hey." Gregg turned his body to the right, folding his right leg under his left, as he placed his right paw on Sean's left shoulder."You're not an idiot. You loved her. You wanted something more than she was ready to give you. She was probably not the right one for you,"
"If she wasn't the right one, why did being with her, feel so right?" Sean asked.
"That, I can't answer," Gregg said. "Maybe, one day when you can talk to her again, you'll find out." He stood up, faced him, and said, "Come, help me with breakfast, then I'll show you where the shower is so you can freshen up, while I lay out something for you to wear."
The two made eggs, bacon, and toast together. However, Gregg couldn't help himself from checking out Sean's lower half, while he cooked.
Gregg wasn't the only one stealing glances at the other. Sean caught himself, gazing at Gregg's tail section in those tight briefs. And those thoughts scared him. 'He's a nice enough guy and he's quite a good looking tom. But why am I checking out his butt? I'm not gay.'
Gregg had to get the plates out from the cabinet located above where Sean was preparing some fruit he happened to have picked up. He came up behind Sean, and said, "I need the plates out of the cabinet above you." As he reached out to open the cabinet, he brushed his bare chest against Sean's back and his crotch against Sean's backside, causing both toms to gasp at how well their bodies molded against the others. Gregg did get the plates and placed them down on the counter in front of Sean, but kept the closeness.
Sean placed the knife down and took Gregg's paws in his own, bringing them to his waist.
"Sean, what are we doing?" Gregg asked. Although he liked the position they were currently in.
"I.. I don't know. I just wanted to be held, is that wrong?" Sean replied, not admitting, he sort of liked having Gregg's paws on him.
They stayed like that for a few moments, then Gregg, lowered his head to Sean's right shoulder. He pulled Sean tighter into him, turning his head to kiss Sean's neck.
Sean let out a contented purr, which Gregg heard and felt against his lips. He felt his body responding, which he was sure, Sean could feel too from the lack of space between the two, and let go of Sean. Before things spiraled out of control and he did something, Sean was definitely not ready for. He ran into the bedroom, slamming the door behind him.
Sean felt the cool air rush across his back as Gregg ran back into his bedroom. He followed him to the closed door, knocked, and asked, "Can I come in? We need to talk about what just happened."
Gregg was sitting on the edge of his bed, trying to will his tomhood to go down. But when he heard Sean's request, his arousal almost went completely away, as the weight of the situation took hold. "Yeah, come in," he answered.
Sean opened the door, entering the bedroom, focusing on Gregg alone. He sat down on Gregg's right, taking his right paw in his own, and giving it a gentle squeeze, before he said, "I don't know what to think about what occurred in the kitchen."
"I sort of do. I guess, I mistook you wanting to be held, as something more," Gregg said.
"You weren't the only one, sending mixed signals, Gregg. Although, your lips felt good against my fur, which is confusing me, more than me checking out your backside earlier," Sean said.
"Sean, before we go down that Rabbit Hole, I have to tell you, I'm gay," Gregg said, followed by, "Wait.. what? You were checking out my tail?"
Sean chuckled, then said, "Its hard not to, when its on display for all to see, Gregg. I do admit, it looks quite nice."
Gregg laughed, then said, "Yours is quite nice, too."
"Thanks. Gregg, I don't know why I purred for you, when you kissed me," Sean said.
"Did you ever consider, you might be Bi, Sean?" Gregg asked.
"Not until today. I've always had a she-cat on my arm, long enough to take them to bed. Then have them lose my number." He gave Gregg's paw an affectionate squeeze, and said, "I don't know if this is too soon, but would you mind kissing me, again, just as a test?" Sean asked.
"You sure you want me to? I might not be able to stop, if things get too, heated," Gregg asked.
Sean let go of Gregg's paws, turned his body to face Gregg, and placed his paws on his shoulders, answering, "Positive. Let me worry about if things get too heated." For the first time, he pressed his lips against another tom's.
Gregg kissed him back, placing his paws on Sean's waist.
Sean pushed Gregg down onto the mattress, without removing his lips. He then let his left paws slide down Gregg's body to Gregg's right pectoral.
Gregg moaned into Sean's mouth, then slipped his tongue into Sean's mouth. "Sean, I'm losing it," Gregg said, then sealed his mouth back to Sean's.
Sean lifted his body from Gregg's and removed his shirt.
Gregg knew Sean had a decent build from when he carried him back to his apartment. But to see him half-naked and in his bed, sent a spike of arousal through his body.
Sean felt something hard poking his tail. He smiled as he rubbed his backside against it, and said, "We'll take care of that, later." He then leaned forward, capturing Gregg's lips.
The same morning, Gwendlyn and. Sarah were waiting for Inna, Esfir, and Nadia at Sarah's house to take them to school. They were both dressed in light blue shirts with dark blue jeans. Inferno was right there with them, being content with being close to his adoptive mother, even though she was way smaller than him now.
"I still can't get over how big Inferno is, Sarah," Gwendlyn said, having to rotate her head to take all of Inferno into her sight.
"Natsume told me, he was going to be big. But I never thought he would get this large, in such a short time," Sarah said, as she turned and kissed Inferno on the left side of his face.
Inferno let out a deep growl and a small puff of smoke leave his mouth, after her kiss.
Gwendlyn caught an odor of very strong sulfur. She covered her nose with her right paw, and said, "Oh! What died in here!"
Sarah laughed, and said, "Nothing died in here, Gwen. What you are smelling, is the odor of sulfur when Inferno emits smoke. When he breathes fire, the sulfur gets burned in the flames."
"If that's normal. I'm glad I live a few blocks over! That really stinks!" Gwendlyn stated.
There was a blast of a Car's horn from the street. Sarah went over to the window, and peeled back the curtain to see Inna's large arm, resting on the Passenger's door and a hint of Esfir in the driver's seat. She let go of the curtain, and said, "Our ride is here. Time to go to school." She went over to inferno, kissed him again, and said, "I know I can't stop you from following me. No one can. But if you do, please stay out of sight." She went over to Gwendlyn, took her left paw, and led her out of the house.
An hour later, the three friends were sitting at their desks, working on a sheet of Math Problems Nadia had assigned to the class.
Nadia was at her desk at the head of the room, grading some papers, and every once in a while, looking up to see if any of the students seemed to be struggling with the work. Her computer pinged, signaling a new email. She focused on the screen and moved the mouse to open the message. She smiled, knowing she was about to get a new student. "Class, we are about to get a new student. Please make her feel welcome," Nadia said.
Esfir was walking down the hall, wearing a tweed suit, holding the left paw of a little girl. She was wearing a little frilly light blue dress, and not looking too happy about it. However, the white and blue accentuated her blond fur, dark spots, and the black markings on her face. Her light blond curly hair bounced with every step she took.
Esfir stopped in front of Nadia's classroom and crouched down to the kitten's level. "You'll like your teacher. She's young, energetic, and loves to play right along with her students. Why the long face, Abigale?"
"I like to run, and run fast. I can't do that in this stupid dress, my mother made me wear," Abigale said.
"You do look adorable in it, Abigale. But, if wearing it makes you uncomfortable, I might have something you can change into, back in my office. Will that be ok?" Esfir asked.
Abigale's face lit up and she hugged Esfir, tightly. "Thank you!" She said.
Esfir brought her arms around Abigale, hugging her back, and said, "You're welcome." She let go of the kitten, and said as she rose to her full height, "Let's introduce you to your classmates." She then turned to her left, and knocked on the door.
Nadia heard the knock and stood up. She straightened her brown pantsuit, and went to open the door. When she did, she gave her lover a smile, then looked down to Abigale. "Hi, I'm Miss Vasyuhin! Welcome to my class!" Nadia excitingly said. She ushered Abigale through the door, then gave Esfir a quick kiss, and said, "See you this afternoon." She disappeared behind the door.
"Class, this is Abigale Meadows, our new classmate," Nadia said. She scanned the room to find an empty desk for Abigale to sit. She found one, right behind Evelyn. "Evelyn, please raise your paw."
Evelyn did as she was requested, and raised her right paw into the air.
"Abigale, please take the desk behind Evelyn," Nadia said.
Abigale walked down the aisle of desks to the desk Nadia wanted her to use. She sat down and faced forward.
Evelyn spun in her seat to face Abigale, and said, "Hi, I'm Evelyn. Come join me and my friends, Sarah and Gwendlyn for Recess and Lunch. I know they will like you."
"Thank You, Evelyn," Abigale said.
Evelyn shot her a smile and turned back around to face the rest of the class.
The rest of the morning went by quickly. Nadia closed her book, stood and said, "Time for lunch, class. Let's put away our books, grab our lunches, and head out to the Playgrounds."
The class did as they were instructed, then stood in line by the door, waiting for Nadia to finish up her paperwork and join them.
Nadia wanted to get out of the stuffy room as fast as possible. She just opened one of the large drawers of her desk, and swept the papers into it with her right forearm. "I'll deal with the mess later. Come on class, time for some fun!"
Abigale stayed close to Evelyn, since she was the only one she knew as of now.
Evelyn led her to a table, where Gwendlyn and Sarah were already sitting. She said, "Gwen, Sarah, meet Abigale."
Gwendlyn and Sarah turned to see a young cheetah girl, wearing a dress. Gwendlyn was the first to break the silence and said, "Hi! I'm Gwendlyn. Come sit, knowing my mother, she made more food than I can eat."
Abigale sat next to Gwendlyn as she opened up her lunch box. Her eye grew as big as saucers as she looked at the amount of decadent food the box contained. "Is your mother a Gourmet Chef? That looks amazing!" Abigale said.
"She might as well be. But instead, she's a Lieutenant in the Enforcers, along with my other mommy," Gwendlyn said.
"Your mothers are gay?" Abigale asked.
"Only one is gay. The other is Bi. I hope that is not a problem?" Gwendlyn asked.
"Not from me. Can I taste that?" Abigale asked, pointing to one of the Fish Cakes Katerina prepared.
"Sure, have as much as you want. Katerina, my mother, always over packs our lunches," Gwendlyn said.
Evelyn sat down and took out her lunch and started to eat it. When a small all black ball of fluff with white wings landed in front of her, sat down and started mewing at her.
Abigale saw the tiny cub land on the table out of the corner of her eye, but dismissed it at first until it started mewing. She dropped her lunch into her lap and asked as she pointed, "What in MegaKat is that!?"
"This, is either Blake or Gale. One of my knight's cubs. Which means he is around here, somewhere," Evelyn stated, looking around in the trees for Spencer.
"Your Knight? I don't understand?" Abigale asked. She desperately wanted to find out if the cub's fur was as soft as it appeared. She started to lift her left paw to the cub, but stopped, and asked, "Is it friendly?"
"Very. Go on, you can touch him or her," Evelyn said.
Abigale slowly reached out to the cub with her right paw towards the cub. However, the cub walked towards her outstretched paw and rubbed its left flank against it, purring quite happily.
"It feels amazing! I get it's a Winged-Cub, but how does something like it exist?" Abigale asked as she scratched the cub under its chin.
"I guess a trip to your house so she can meet the entire family is in order, Evelyn," Gwendlyn said.
"There are more of them?" Abigale asked.
"Three more at my house, and five more over at the Furlong's," Evelyn answered. "However, the three cubs at the Furlong's are hybrids. Winged-Puma mixed with Jaguar. But they are still completely adorable."
Sarah quickly finished her lunch, then she leaned over the table to Gwendlyn, and asked, "Since Spencer is here, somewhere. What do you think the chances are, Inferno is lurking around?"
"Quite probable," she answered.
"Who or what is Inferno?" Abigale asked.
Sarah turned to face her, and answered, "You are going to have to come to my house, to find out, Abigale."
"I'd like that," Abigale said. "I have to ask my mommy though. She's always busy during the day. And in the evenings, she goes to her other job. I'm usually home, alone until she gets back sometime during the night."
"Someone our age shouldn't be home alone. Where is your father?" Sarah asked.
Abigale stopped petting the cub and placed her paws in her lap. She then said, "My parents divorced a few years ago. I only live with my mother."
The three girls reached out with their paws and touched Abigale's shoulders. "You can come to my house, anytime you want." Gwendlyn said.
"That goes double for me," Sarah stated.
"I have classes after school," Evelyn said. "I'd have to ask, but I think you can come with me."
Abigale's face lit up, as she had made three new friends she could count on. "Thank you, all," she said.
Nadia came by the table in time to see the tender moment, and said, "I had a feeling, you four would become fast friends. Abigale, Miss Romanov would like to see you in her office. Something about getting you out of that dress, and into clothes you can run in?"
"Yes! Please!" Abigale said. She rose from her seat, gave the cub one last pet, and took Nadia's paw in hers. The two left for Esfir's office soon after.
A few minutes later, Abigale returned, now wearing a pair of yellow track pants and a red shirt. She sat down next to Gwendlyn again, and said, "This is much better. I have to thank, Miss Romanov again."
"You can, if you come to my house. After school, she, Miss Vasyuhin, and Miss Polanski watch me until my mommies come home," Gwendlyn said.
"Exactly how fast can you run, Abigale?" Sarah asked.
"Not as fast as my mother, but I can hold my own," she answered.
"Gym is after lunch, can't wait to see what you can do," Evelyn said.
Abigale smirked, then said, "Watch me."
Sure enough, Abigale was fast and nimble on her feet. She easily out ran everyone in her class, but only for short to medium sprints. But she recovered, quite quickly when she did tire.
"Wow! You can probably out run my mother, and she's a Lynx/Ocelot hybrid!" Gwendlyn said.
Abigale took another sip of her water, then said, "Lynxes are fast, but cheetahs are even faster. I'd like to meet her."
"You can, and will this afternoon. I promise, you will feel right at home, Abigale," Gwendlyn said.
"I prefer to be called Abi. The only ones who call be Abigale are my mother and our teachers," Abi said.
"Abi it is. Its about time to go back to class. I'll ask Miss Vasyuhin, if you can come with us," Gwendlyn said.
The school day had finally ended. The four friends were standing on the sidewalk in front of the school, waiting for to be picked up.
Helen pulled up to the girls in her silver sedan. She leaned over the center console towards the open passenger window, and said, "Evelyn, get in. You have class in about a half hour."
"Ok mom," Evelyn said. She hugged Abigale, followed by Gwendlyn, and finally Sarah. Then said. "I'll see you tomorrow." She opened the rear passenger door, slipped into the car, and closed the door behind her.
Helen drove away right after.
Jessica and Kayla pulled in front of Sarah in Sally's van. They were both dressed in mini skirts and sweaters that matched. Jessica got out of the van and said, "Inferno went missing, almost as soon as you left. Any idea where he might be?" Jessica asked.
"Spencer is or was here earlier. He was most likely with him," Sarah answered.
"Guess he will show up at home, whenever," Jessica said. She looked over to the Cheetah girl, and said, "Those clothes do nothing for you. You are going to have to swing by, Sarah's mother's store and let her set you up with a few outfits. She went over to Abigale, extended her right paw to her, and said, "I'm Jessica. The she-cat in the van is my girlfriend, Kayla. I hope we all can be friends?"
Abigale took her paw in hers, and said, "I hope so too, Jessica."
An older sports coupe pulled up behind Sally's van. The driver's door opened and the driver's long spotted left leg extended out with its foot encased in a high heeled shoe. The rest of the shapely body emerged from the car dressed in a red tight dress. She looked over the car to her daughter, and said, "Abigale! I have work tonight! We need to leave!"
Abigale let go of Jessica's paw, turned to her mother, and said, "Mom! I want to go over to my new friend's house. Do my homework and play like every other kid! I'm tired of being alone all the time while you work!"
Her mother slammed the car door closed, walked around the front of the car to her daughter, and said, "My work pays for our apartment, our food, our clothes, everything! Your father hasn't paid an ounce of Alimony or Child support, which makes things very hard for me!"
Esfir heard the screaming as she was leaving the school and went over to find out what was going on. She stopped in front of Ms. Meadows, and asked, "What is going on here, Ms. Meadows?"
"My daughter and I are having a semi-private conversation, Miss Romanov," She answered.
"Its not so private, if everyone in a two block radius can hear it, Ms. Meadows! I'm going to ask Abigale for her side. Then we can discuss as adults." She turned on her right heel to Abigale, and asked, "Abigale, why is your mother upset?"
"Miss Romanov, I don't want to be alone anymore at night, because my mom has to work. Sarah, Gwendlyn, and Evelyn were nice enough to invite me over so I don't have to be alone," Abigale answered.
Esfir turned back to Ms. Meadows, and said, "A child Abigale's age should not be left alone for an extended time, without supervision, Ms. Meadows. If she can't come to her friends' homes, you must find someone to watch over her while you are at work!"
"Miss. Romanov, money is quite tight and I don't have extra to provide a sitter for Abigale! She's been fine on her own, so far and knows how to handle herself," she said.
"If that is your answer, I have no choice but to contact Kitten Services, on her behalf. You should be expecting a call to schedule a visit in the next few days. Good day, Ms. Meadows!" Esfir stated and started to head back to her office to make that call.
"Wait!" Ms. Meadows said, which caused Esfir to stop in her tracks. She turned around, facing Ms. Meadows and Abigale, waiting to see what occurred.
Ms. Meadows crouched down to her daughter as best as she could in her dress, and said, "Abigale, I'm sorry about you having to be alone so much. We've only moved here a short while ago, and I have no idea who I can trust. But, I guess I have to start trusting someone. If you want to head over to your friends', you can."
Abigale circled her arms around her mother's neck and said, "Thank you mommy!"
"I can personally vouch for Gwendyln's or Sarah's family. Abigale will be perfectly safe, with either one," Esfir said.
Ms. Meadows rose from her crouch, and said, "You have your phone with you, Abigale. Let me know the address of where you are, and I will pick you up later tonight."
Esfir was not quite satisfied with Ms. Meadows' actions. She quickly asked, "May I speak with you, in private, Ms. Meadows?"
"As long as its quick? Sure. Lead on," she responded.
Esfir turned to Gwendlyn and said, "Gwen, I think it would be better, if Abigale came home with us today. Ms Vasyuhin will be joining us shortly, as soon as she finishes her paperwork, she was supposed to work on today, which somehow, ended up in a drawer of her desk."
"Of course! She can meet my mommies, when they get home," Gwendlyn said.
"Horosho (Good)," Esfir stated, then said, "Ms. Meadows, please follow me." She led her to the corner of the school, where she stopped and said, "I really would hate to be forced to notify Kitten Services, Ms. Meadows. However, I can not ignore what I heard this afternoon either. I care for each one of my students, as if they were my own. In short, this is your one pass with me. If I find out, Abigale was left alone. Not only will Kitten Services be notified, you will personally find out, I, nor Abigale's teachers are not afraid to get our claws dirty, to protect our students. Do I make myself clear as crystal, da?" She specifically accentuated her accent, letting Ms. Meadows she meant business.
"Are you threatening me, Miss Romanov?" She asked.
"No, its not a threat, it's a warning. You seem like a good parent, who happens to be in a, as they say, A lousy situation. So, let's come to an understanding. Abigale goes home, with one of her friends, and if necessary stays the night, if you have to work. She will be fed and completely safe at all times, that is a promise," Esfir stated, bluntly.
"How can you make such promises, Miss Romanov? I barely know you," Ms. Meadows said.
"You don't have to know me. Miss Vasyuhin and I, as well as several others watch over Gwendlyn while her parents are at work. Miss Belikov, her mother and us have, a previous life together." She purposely left out, she and Nadia served under Katerina when Katerina was known as Turmoil. "She is not one to trust easily. She can and will do anything in her power, and then some, to keep Gwendlyn and her friends safe. Abigale will be perfectly fine with us watching over her."
"Very well, Miss Romanov. Abigale can go home with Gwendlyn. However, if she so much comes home with a hair out of place, you will know what its like to be hunted by a cheetah," Ms. Meadows said.
"I expect nothing less, Ms. Meadows," Esfir said with a smile.
She smiled at Esfir, then walked back to her car. She stopped next to Gwendlyn, Abigale, and now, Nadia, and said, "You will be going home with Gwendlyn and her teachers today, Abigale. I don't think I have to be out too late. Be sure to send me her address, and I will pick you up."
"Yes, mommy," Abigale said.
While Ms. Meadows and Abigale were discussing Abigale's arrangements, Gwendlyn went over to Nadia, and asked, "I thought we were going over Firearms cleaning procedures tonight, Nadia?"
"We were, Gwen," Nadia said. "I guess those procedures will have to wait until tomorrow."
