* Since posting this chapter this week, I have experienced some issues with the site and I'm not entirely sure if this chapter has been available for some of you to read as at times it wasn't even showing up for me. I've decided to post again just in case anyone missed it/couldn't read (keeping everything crossed the issue is now fixed). Thank you to those of you who did review it means so much and I'm very sorry if in the process of re posting your reviews got lost. *

Hi lovely readers!

As always thank you so much for all of the reviews on the last chapter, it means so much. This prompt was requested by MarisaFromBCN and is based on the prompt I wrote called Never Been Happier (chapter 60) however, this is told from Amy's perspective.

With this prompt, the starting point is a little bit before the last chapter but after the first chunk it picks up from where Never Been Happier starts. As always with stuff like this, I totally got carried away and is quite a long one.

I know some of you were really looking forward to this prompt and I cannot tell you how much I loved writing it. I really hope it doesn't disappoint.

Enjoy reading.

Amy had always known that first deliveries could be slow, she felt as if she had uttered those words to Sheldon numerous times throughout her pregnancy when they talked about this very moment. Not to mention the many times she had reminded him of this very fact today when he was growing impatient and questioning how long this would all take.

Yet, despite feeling prepared to be in labour for the long haul, Amy hadn't quite imagined feeling like this. She'd been in labour for eleven hours, labouring at home for the majority of that time, she had been admitted to the hospital four hours ago when the contractions picked up. Even though she had been experiencing this for nearly half a day, at 3cm dilated she felt as if she was still hours, possibly even days away from meeting her baby.

No matter how many people reassured her that this was all completely normal and everything was progressing as it should be, she still just wanted it all to be over and soon. There were moments where Amy felt let down by her body, where she thought that after so long in labour, something should have happened by now but then she had to remind herself of the amazing things her body was doing, the amazing things her body had done. Through her love for Sheldon she had managed to grow a little person, a person that they would be meeting very soon.

This was a thought that terrified and excited her in equal measure. Every emotion seemed to balance itself out, she was scared of the pain that she had to endure but knew it was needed in order to meet her baby, she was scared of how much their lives were about to change but she knew it was only going to change for the better. With each contraction that she had her nerves and excitement battled against one another.

Amy was currently pacing the large hospital room. She had felt pretty lucky being able to end up in a room as nice as this. The large windows gave a lovely view of the city that she could only imagine looked even more lovely at night, she had no doubt that she would be in labour then and still be around to see it. In the midst of a contraction, she took solace in leaning on the doorway which connected them to the en-suite bathroom. As she tried her very hardest to breathe through the pain, she found herself looking up when she heard the hospital room door click open.

Gazing up, she expected to find another midwife entering, someone to come and tell her more news that would mean this whole process would be dragged out for longer but instead this time, she was greeted by her husband. Despite the pain that she was in and by now it was a lot, she couldn't help but smile at her gorgeous, goofy husband who stood frozen still, clutching a paper cup filled with coffee.

Sheldon had been pretty great so far. Surprisingly, for a man who claimed to have a hatred for hospitals, he had instantly relaxed as soon as they set foot inside. Amy figured this was because maybe now the pressure wasn't solely on him, they were around medical professionals and people that knew exactly what they were doing and although in the beginning Amy had toyed with the idea of a home birth, she knew that now she was in the best possible place.

"What are you doing?" Sheldon asked. After Amy had been checked over and given the disappointing news that she was still at 3cm, she had told Sheldon to go off and get himself a coffee whilst she and the midwife spoke. She knew he would appreciate that, talk of what was going on made him squirm, let alone having to witness it all. Amy did wonder whether he would remain standing for the whole birth but only time would tell.

"Walking" she managed to speak as she puffed air out through her cheeks. This was a strong one, she thought this with every contraction that she had and knowing that they were only going to get worse was a daunting thought. "They said I should try walking to speed things along" she rushed out her words as the contraction peaked, feeling her stomach tighten like someone had their hands wrapped round her insides and was squeezing them in a vice grip.

Placing both of her hands against the doorframe, she rested her head upon them and started to breathe heavily. On the way here, when she was having contractions in the car she would close her eyes and pretend she was lying on a beach somewhere, feeling the sun beating down on her and hearing the gentle waves and sounds of the ocean. When the next one came she would imagine she was in a cabin with Sheldon, curled up all cosy in front of the fire with her favourite book. She was desperately trying to find a place to take herself off to now but the pain had suddenly become quite overwhelming.

Staying focused and having something to distract her was key to helping her get through this the way she wanted to. Knowing how much pain could take over your mind, cloud your judgement and control your thoughts and emotions, she knew better than most just how important it was to stay calm and remain rational. She knew as things progressed and grew more intense it wouldn't be easy, maybe not even possible, she already felt as if she was struggling now.

Relief washed over her as she felt the contraction ebb away, she let a few deep breaths go, waiting until she felt in control again to look up. Sheldon was still stood clutching his cup of coffee, she knew he would be finding this hard, he didn't cope well at all with people being in distress but she knew he'd been working hard on overcoming all of this for her.

"Are you okay?" he asked, finally placing his coffee cup down and making his way across to Amy. She wanted to snap at him for asking such a stupid question but she could clearly see the fear in his eyes and deep down she knew he was just as scared as she was.

"I'm okay" she nodded. He was at her side instantly, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and pulling her close to his chest. Sheldon had always towered above her and yet as she let her head flop against his chest, she had never felt smaller. She loved how he made her feel with just a simple touch or gesture, he managed to make her feel so safe, she didn't realise just how much she needed that. "Actually, I don't feel okay" she admitted feeling her bottom lip start to tremble. "That last contraction was pretty strong."

There wasn't much Amy didn't know and yet how the rest of this process would pan out was a complete mystery to her. If this was still just the beginning, then things were only going to get more painful and uncomfortable and she really wasn't sure how her mind and body were going to cope with that. At times, it was a lot to deal with.

"That's a good thing though isn't?" Sheldon asked, Amy could feel his fingers gently stroking up and down her arm, it felt surprisingly soothing. "It means things are going as they should be, right?"

"I guess" he had a point and Amy knew he was only trying to make her feel better.

"Shall we go for a walk then?" he asked. She had wanted to leave the room and wander the hallways but with Sheldon getting coffee, she didn't like the thought of wandering around alone. Now that she was here in his arms and she realised just how safe he made her feel, she knew she didn't want to be without him at all, throughout any of this.

"Sure"

For the next few hours Sheldon and Amy paced the same hospital corridors, over and over again, round and round to the point where Amy was sure she knew this place like the back of her hand and could offer directions to anyone who asked. The bright strobe lighting was now something she had grown accustomed to, as well as the sounds from other expectant mothers that all but terrified her.

Whenever a contraction hit, she would reach out for Sheldon, latching on to the first part of him she could find; hand, arm, shoulder so far he'd been great and hadn't complained once about the squeezing he had endured. At one point, she was sure her fingers were digging hard enough into his shoulders that he would suffer some sort of muscle pain the next day.

Every time a contraction hit, he would remind her to breathe, to take things slowly and when she snapped at him to do so apply quite a firm pressure to her back. It amazed Amy how when in the midst of pain, when the contraction peaked and her body felt like it was being ripped in half, how much she didn't care. She was more than happy to latch on to Sheldon as he winced, to moan and groan into his shoulder when things got tough, all whilst on public view in the middle of a hallway. As passers by, strangers she had never met and would probably never meet again passed by. As someone who at times in public could be rather shy, she found it incredible what the pain could do to her.

It was when they were on what felt like their 100th lap of the hallways, that Amy felt a sudden pressure before a gush of water hit the floor beneath her, just narrowly missing Sheldon's shoes. She had cried then, suddenly realising that this was all very much real and very much happening.

If Amy thought contractions were hard, contractions after you waters had broken were something else entirely. It was as if someone had suddenly pressed the start button on this whole thing and hit the accelerator. The contractions were now hitting her at full force, she could barely move let alone speak, they wracked her body, the pain radiating from deep inside her as her stomach squeezed and her back and hips got in on the action too. She couldn't believe women did this every single day, how the human population survived was beyond her.

"Sheldon" she cried out for her husband before a low moan left her lips. At times, the noises she was making took her by surprise, she barely recognised them as her own. The contractions were pretty consistent now with little to no rest between them, she knew things had to be close, she at least hoped they were, not knowing how much longer she cope with the pain.

Sheldon's hand was in hers instantly, threading his fingers through her own and letting her squeeze as hard as she needed to. When they had arrived back at the room after her water broke, Amy continued to move around, trying every position possible to get the baby to move lower and to make things progress. However, when things became intense and she struggled to put one foot in front of the other, she found sitting on a yoga ball whilst leaning on the bed the best source of comfort mainly because it took the pressure off of her back.

"Amy, breathe" she heard Sheldon say but her mind was clouded with pain, she couldn't think straight or process what to do, all she could focus on was the pain, the hot white band of pain that was squeezing her tight, wrapping itself around her body. She was holding her breath, knowing that if she let out a sound it would probably be more like a scream. Shaking her head, she squeezed his hand harder and bit her lip. "Don't hold your breath, it's important, you need to breathe Amy, please take a breath" the feel of his thumb gently rubbing circles on her hand and his other hand caressing her back slowly made her aware and present again, she could focus on that, Sheldon and his touch. Shakily, she let out a slow, low breath, moaning as she did so. "That's it, keep breathing, just like that" Sheldon told her.

"It hurts. It hurts so much" she whimpered, feeling her lip start to tremble again as her eyes pricked with tears. This was by far the most pain she'd ever been in in her whole life, she had never experienced anything like it, she didn't know how it was possible for someone to be in this much pain and still be in one piece.

"I know. I know it does," he didn't know, Amy wanted to yell at him for saying such a stupid thing but refrained, she was already exhausted and simply didn't have the energy. "You're doing such a great job though. I don't think it will be much longer."

The room was hot and sticky. The heat in the air clinging to Amy's body making her want to rid of the night dress that she had decided to wear that was currently bunched up to her hips. Over the last hour, they had tried a damp cloth and placed a fan close by but right now her patience for those things was wearing thin and despite them helping for a brief moment they just began to annoy her.

In typical fashion, Sheldon hadn't been wrong and it was just a few hours later when Amy felt the overwhelming urge to push. Somehow over the last few hours Sheldon had been able to keep her calm, helping her focus and breathe, she would have been completely lost without him, he was her rock, her strong knight in shining armour.

Throughout their relationship, Amy was always the strong one, she was the one that was always there to talk some sense in to Sheldon, to help and reassure him when things got tricky and overwhelming or when he just became a little too dramatic. She couldn't recall a time where she had needed him as much as she did right now and to her surprise he was pulling through in more ways than she could have ever imagined. Little did Amy know that in those moments of vulnerability, Sheldon thought she was the most incredible human being to ever grace the planet.

"Give another big push Amy" the midwife spoke gently. Surprisingly, Amy found the pushing phase to be somewhat relieving like she could push all of the consuming pressure away and finally do something that wasn't just enduring the contractions. For the first time since going into labour she felt as if she was now doing something productive.

Taking in a deep breath, she brought her chin to her chest and pushed with all the strength that she had, her hand was gripping onto Sheldon's as if her life depended on it, her fingernails almost piercing his skin. A sharp cry left her lips as she felt the stretching and burning, this was all too much. She could hear the midwife telling her to keep going but she wasn't sure she could.

Naively, she assumed this would all be over by now. She'd been pushing for almost an hour and she was seriously running low on energy, she was exhausted and didn't quite know how she was able to stay awake. Well, she did know, the searing pain she could feel was a reminder of why she was still very much awake.

"Okay, sweetie, breathe, breathe nice and slowly" she was instructed feeling a soft hand placed upon her knee. Not pushing almost didn't feel like an option, all of the pain and pressure was still very much there and it felt as if her body was just on autopilot to push, she didn't know how not to give in to her body's urges. That being said from somewhere deep within she found the ability to breathe, to gently pant and blow like she had been taught in birthing class. Titling her head back, she kept her eyes closed, feeling her chest and shoulders rising heavily as she breathed. "Nice slow breaths, slow down your breathing, you're doing great"

Trying to slow down her breathing felt near on impossible, did these people not realise how much pain she was in, how it was taking all the willpower in the world to stop her screaming and crying out in pain. She was squeezing Sheldon's hand hard. Desperately trying to follow their instructions and think of anything but the pain, she closed her eyes and breathed slowly, inhaling deeply and letting the breath go.

She felt Sheldon's touch on her forehead as his fingers came down to gently brush some hair away from her face. Even though her hand was in his, for a brief moment, she had been so focused that she had almost forgotten his presence. The gesture was a heartfelt reminder that she wasn't alone in this and she appreciated that more than anything in the world.

As she breathed, she became acutely aware of the shaking. Was this normal? She wasn't cold in the slightest and yet her body was trembling as if she was experiencing conditions of below freezing. Her legs especially were trembling violently, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't seem to stop it. She felt a hand upon her knee, someone gently stroking her skin, were they trying to relax her, she didn't know but the fact no one seemed too alarmed reassured her.

Opening her eyes for a split second, she met Sheldon's gaze. His face was close to hers, hovering over her, watching her carefully. Those beautiful blue eyes looked at her full of love and concern, she didn't need to be the genius she was to know that he was terrified, watching someone you love go through something like this couldn't have been easy.

"Sheldon" her voice a quiet little croak, it was only now that she realised her throat was a little sore. "I can't do this" she whimpered, feeling the tears glaze her eyes. The way he was looking at her made her feel so safe, made her feel as though she could be honest and tell him exactly how she was feeling, not that she was sure she had done a good job so far but she knew she didn't have to be brave anymore. Right now, she really did feel like she couldn't go on, she was in so much pain, she was so tired and she just wanted to go home. She knew the end was in sight but right now it felt so far away and although not biologically possible she wished Sheldon could do this for her.

"Amy, you're so close" the midwife spoke, obviously hearing the doubt in her voice. She saw this everyday and had grown accustomed to women finding this last hurdle tough. "With the next contraction, we just need a few really big pushes and then your baby will be here" she smiled. Amy's mind was spinning, a few pushes, it sounded so simple but that's all it took and then suddenly she would be a mother. She would have a child, they would be a family and after so long of preparing, she suddenly didn't feel ready.

Squeezing Sheldon's hand, she felt them trembling. She knew his thoughts and feelings better than anyone and wanted nothing more than to reassure him that she was okay but she just couldn't find the words. Instead, she brought their interlocked hands to her lips and kissed the back of his, she hoped the gesture eased his nerves a little.

"You're nearly there," he whispered just for her to hear as he lowered his head and placed a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I love you," those words, those three little words were everything to her, amongst the pain they were her shining light. She loved him too, she loved him so much that at times it hurt, she loved him more than she ever thought possible and she knew there was no one in the world she wanted to be doing this with.

Feeling the contraction building yet again, she latched on to Sheldon's hand and started to push. The pain was consuming, overwhelming and she knew she couldn't do this. She could feel the panic rising within her what if she couldn't get this baby out what would happen, had that ever happened before, were their mothers who just couldn't deliver their baby's.

"Oh" she cried out when the pain reached its peak and she felt as if her body was on fire. "I c…"

"You can, you can" she opened her eyes to see Sheldon looking down at her smiling. He believed in her so much, there wasn't a single doubt in his eyes, Amy thought that maybe if he believed that she could do this, then just maybe she could. His faith in her would be enough.

"One more Amy, you're almost there" she heard the midwife excitedly encourage her. Eyes closed in the zone, she needed to focus now, this was it, this she could do. Just one more.

"You're almost there" Sheldon. Her husband. The absolute love of her life. They were going to do this bit together just like they had done with everything that life had thrown at them. Through love for Sheldon and their baby she was over come with emotions, she had wanted this for so long and now here they were, just one push away from meeting their baby.

Her hand scrambled on the bed, reaching across for Sheldon's free hand with both of her hands in his she squeezed them tight, dragging him closer to the bed. Bringing their hands up to her face, she needed to feel closer to him. This time when she pushed, rather than picturing being on a beach or in a cosy log cabin, she thought of her baby. Her son or daughter, the little baby that she loved already more than life itself, the baby that would be safely in her arms in a matter of seconds. Simply thinking of her baby, gave her a new determination and even more strength to get through this. Just one more.

The next handful of seconds passed by in a blur with one big push and a cry of relief the pain was suddenly gone. In its place was a baby, she had just had a baby, that was an incredibly overwhelming thought to process. She looked down, her hands quickly letting go of Sheldon's and reaching down eagerly waiting to hold her child as the midwife carefully lifted the baby onto Amy's chest.

"Oh my god, oh my god, hi" the tears were instantly streaming down her face as her arms wrapped around this tiny little person laying on her chest. The rush of love was immediate, never had she felt anything like this before in her life. Around her the midwives were rubbing the baby's back with towel and quickly checking them over as they snuggled close to their mother. "Hi, oh you're here, you're really here" she couldn't quite believe that the little person who had been wriggling around inside of her for months, who had kicked her and rolled onto her bladder in the early hours of the morning was now here. A real little person.

A sudden wail came from the baby on her chest and the relief that everything okay was palpable. Amy felt her arms tighten round her baby, she wanted to treasure this moment forever because every single thing was absolutely perfect.

"Congratulations you too, she's perfect" Amy caught the pronoun instantly and sobbed even hardly at the notion she had a girl. A daughter. Her little mini me. She was already picturing their future together, her, Sheldon and their daughter. A family.

Briefly taking her eyes away from her daughter, she glanced over to Sheldon who through her own tears seemed very much glued to the spot. She'd never witnessed someone experience shock before but in its mildest form she figured that's what was going on right now. She was sure he was crying too and in that moment Amy couldn't recall the last time she had seem him shed a tear.

"Sheldon we have a little girl" the smile on her face was so wide and she couldn't stop the tears from falling. Her own words rang round her head.

Their baby.

A girl.

A little, baby girl

Their daughter.

Amy Farrah Fowler had lived a very sheltered life. Her childhood was governed by her strict mother who with all the good intentions suppressed her daughter from having what one would deem a normal upbringing. Experiencing true friendships was something that she hadn't been exposed to until her mid twenties and dating, finding love, finding the one had been a whole other minefield.

Yet, despite the lack of normality, it was the one thing she desperately craved. She wanted friends, she needed to feel loved and secure, she wanted marriage and children and there was once a time in her life when she genuinely believed it was never going to happen for her. Then, within a blink of an eye, Sheldon Cooper walked into her life and changed the course of her future as she knew it. She fell in love and hard, completely head over heels.

It was at 3.14am on May 17th when Amy's life had changed forever. Despite her exhaustion, she was floating on cloud nine. With her husband by her side and her daughter safely snuggled in her arms. She had never been happier, she never wanted this moment to end.

Sheldon still hadn't said much. Amy had watched, heart filled with love as with shaking hands he had cut the cord, setting their daughter free, her becoming her own little person. She knew this was all a lot for him to process, she was struggling herself and this had all happened to her, she couldn't imagine how he was feeling.

It amazed Amy how naturally she had fallen into the role of being someone's mother. For all but 20 minutes she had been someone's mum, it was like now her life had a meaning, like she finally had a purpose and a reason to be. This little girl, without even knowing had changed her life. She was sure she hadn't stopped smiling, her cheeks were hurting and the tears were steaming down her face.

"I can't believe she's really here. I feel like I'm going to cry every time I look at her. I can't believe she's mine" Amy spoke gently, they were both just living in the moment right now both knowing how important it was to stop and soak up every moment, drink in every little detail.

Amy had wanted to be a mother for as long as she could remember but that desire had only grown over the years. She had watched Sheldon's sister, watched her closest friends have children, watched their little families grow. Even though, she was beyond happy for them and loved their little ones like they were own, she wished more than anything that her time would come, she wanted nothing more than to be in their position.

The little girl in her arms was hers. She was their little baby forever. There was no babysitting her in the evenings or giving her back to her parents at the end of the day because she was theirs and that thought alone made Amy's heart want to burst. This was all just a dream come true.

Watching her daughter, she felt the tears falling from her eyes again. She had the tiniest features, a small button nose and beautiful rose bud lips, tiny, little hands and fingers. She was biased, she knew that but their daughter was perfect.

"I'm sorry, I'm keeping her all to myself" Amy suddenly realised. She never wanted to deprive Sheldon of precious little moments with his daughter.

"It's okay, you did all of the hard work, you can cuddle her as much as you like," Sheldon reaching out and taking hold of Amy's hand, squeezing it tightly. The hand squeeze alone told Amy everything she needed to know, all of the unsaid things between. He was completely in love with their daughter, well and truly besotted.

"It's okay" Amy smiled. "I think she's ready to meet her daddy," Amy had no idea what it would do her to see Sheldon holding their daughter, the thought of him loving her and doting on her, the thought of watching them create an unbreakable bond made her heart feel so full. "Oh my gosh, you're a dad, can you believe that," she couldn't quite wrap her head round the idea that Sheldon, her Sheldon was now a father.

"No not really" he laughed gently and Amy could already tell just how nervous he was.

Amy smiled reassuringly at him, her eyes sparkling as she did so and yet despite the sparkle Amy felt the exhaustion overwhelm her. Her eyes were heavy and achy and she knew she needed to sleep however, she didn't want to miss a single thing.

"Hold her" she suggested gently. Gazing down at her little girl she watched lovingly as her huge eyes took in the world around her. Amy was desperate to know what she was thinking, as her long eyelashes fluttered, Amy wondered if she knew who they were, if she knew they were her parents, if she knew already how incredibly loved she was.

"Okay" he nodded slowly and Amy watched as he swallowed back his nerves. Meeting their daughter for the first time had happened so quickly for her she hadn't had the time to question anything or become nervous. She knew Sheldon well enough to know he would have built holding his daughter up in his head far too much. "Amy, I really don't know what I'm doing," he admitted.

Over the years Amy had seen Sheldon hold nieces, nephews and friends babies. Often, he looked rather uncomfortable and they were just for a small moment in time before he passed them along to the next person. Amy was sure their daughter would be a different story, she already couldn't wait to see them together.

"You'll be okay," Amy smiled, hopefully reassuring him. "I promise you, it will all be okay" she shuffled on the bed, edging closer to him as he slowly began to rise from his seat. Moving the baby in her arms, she tried to get her into the best position to carefully hand her over to Sheldon. He cradled his arms in a similar fashion to Amy, she could see them trembling but chose not to draw attention to it. Carefully, she passed her over, her arms feeling empty and bare as she let go of her daughter. "Are you okay? Do you have?" Amy asked, her hand still remained gently cupping their daughters head, it was the last thing for her to let go of.

"I have her, yes" Sheldon confirmed, seeming somewhat more confident that just a few second ago.

"Just make sure you support her head" Amy reminded him gently as she finally slid her hand away. There it was, right before her eyes, Sheldon and his daughter together, properly meeting for the very first time. She had only just been able to stop herself from crying and she could feel the tears threatening to fall again. This moment was just everything to her, the two of them together were just perfect.

Suddenly, in his arms their daughter seemed so small. Against his tall frame, she really was the tiniest little thing. What struck Amy the most was how different this was to the other times when she had witnessed Sheldon hold babies, there was a love in his eyes so deep and pure and the sweetest of smiles on his lips.

Amy had been aware of his stillness, he had been stood, frozen to the spot for the last few minutes. She knew he would be scared to move. Scared to drop her or cause her any harm. If he was feeling anything like her, the thought of any harm coming to her was just terrifying. Amy wanted to protect her from everything and anything even things that she knew were just part of life and growing up, maybe now she could finally understand some of the choices her mother made.

"Oh Amy she's just…" Sheldon tried to speak after a while. After a moment of just soaking her up.

"She's just perfect isn't she?" Amy replied, finishing the sentence for him, knowing that it was almost impossible to describe these feelings. He was the only person in the world right now that could understand exactly where she was coming from.

"Yes, yes she is" he smiled, his eyes never once leaving her beautiful little face. They loved her more than life itself and that thought alone, yet again, left Amy overcome with emotion. As she sniffed and wiped at her eyes, Sheldon glanced up, his eyes concerned.

"I'm sorry" she laughed gently, "I'll stop crying soon, I promise. You just look…you look so good with her, I never thought I'd see this. You look so happy." They had taken part in what Amy would deem many happy occasions together, their wedding, winning their Nobel and yet right now, Amy was sure she'd never seen him happier.

"I am happy Amy. Thank you for everything, thank you for her" thanking her seemed silly, they were in this together, every step of the way. Without Sheldon their daughter wouldn't have even existed.

"You don't need to thank me" she smiled, reaching out to gently touch his arm. "I mean, you did help a little bit" she laughed, stifling a yawn that without her permission was set free.

"You need to sleep" he told her, his eyes narrowing and Amy was sure he was using his 'dad voice', she wanted to tease him but didn't want to embarrass him. She noticed the baby in his starting to wiggle in his arms and watched, feeling rather proud of him as he expertly held her close.

She snuggled down in the bed, her head finally, properly resting against the pillow as she admired the sight before her. When she finally did sleep, if the image she fell asleep to was Sheldon and their daughter she knew she would have the most sweetest of dreams.

"Well you can, we'll still be here when you wake up"

"In this very position" Amy drew attention to the fact he had been stood completely still since having his daughter in his arms.

"Maybe, yes"

"Just relax" she reached out to touch his arm. To someone like Sheldon she knew that that was easier said than done. "She'll know who you are. She'll remember your voice, just talk to her" they had spent many hours together over the past few months, hands on her bump excitedly feeling their child move and kick inside of her. Talking to her about how much they loved her and how they couldn't wait to meet her. She would know who her father was instantly.

As Amy watched Sheldon relax, she felt her eyes start to close. Despite, trying to fight it the exhaustion was just too much and before she knew it Amy found herself drifting off to the soft lulls of Sheldon introducing himself to their daughter.
