A/N: Hello dear readers. I know the Rin and Sesshomaru chapters are short but they're kind of just hanging around, it's easier to write longer chapters with the broader cast of characters.

At Rins request Jaken brought the letter along with some sweet cakes she had made to Jinenji and his mother.

The day was too hot to leave the cave she felt as her feet were already swelling. Hotaru slept in the moko-moko as Sesshomaru rubbed her legs and ankles.

"We need to go home before I won't be able too." Rin said. "Besides, I miss everyone. I want to see Izu…I miss our son…" She said.

"Just say the word and we will go." Sesshomaru replied.

"When Jaken comes back then I want too. Not much longer."

"The twins are females." Sesshomaru said suddenly.

"What?!" Rin sat up straighter staring at him. "Are you teasing me Lord Sesshomaru?"

"No." Taking in her expression he cocked his head at her in question.

"I wanted to give you a son. Izumi has and I wanted too as well." She admitted.

"I see." He realized why she had been so adamant about it. Placing her feet down from his lap he sat beside her taking her in his arms.

"I love Hisashi with all of my heart and I have never been jealous of Izumi having your first born. Please don't misunderstand my lord, I love any children we have together…"

"Rin, stop talking in circles and say how you feel." Sesshomaru said. "Be honest with yourself."

"It…it hurts sometimes when I realize that our children will not be acknowledged in the same way that Hisashi will be especially girls but maybe a male would be in some way." She said.

"Do you feel as if those in our pack do not care for Hotaru? That she is not seen?" Sesshomaru questioned.

"No. Everyone loves her and respects me as your wife, Hotaru as your daughter." Rin replied. "But others won't."

"'Others' do not matter. They don't exist Rin. Hotaru and our little litter mates will know whom they are and have their place in the world, the same as Hisashi." Sesshomaru ascertained.

"Izu said the same thing to me before. She told me that Hotaru would have a place in the east and be recognized as her daughter."

"Izumi bonded with you the same as I have. Any pups we have she will automatically see as her own as well, just as you have laid claim to hers also."

"Yes. Kagome and Sango are my friends. They have helped me, cared for me but Izumi offers me a physical comfort that I never realized I craved. It makes me feel safe in a different way than when you are with me…I do not know how to explain it."

"It is a maternal comfort that you missed out on from an early age." He said. "Izumi coddles you, she treats you like one of her young at times and you seem to enjoy it."

"You're right. I did and yes, I enjoy it…being taken care of in such a way."

"Whatever the relationship you share with Izumi is it is fine. It is your choice."

"Thank you for always giving me a choice." Rin said closing her eyes. "For our pups and our life together. I am so happy."

"Rest. When Jaken returns we will go back to our pack." Sesshomaru ran his claws through her hair putting her to sleep.
