Leaving the hut Jin felt himself become more tired with his stomach full of good food. Trudging towards the other quarters to sleep he didn't notice when Nen stopped at the empty hut.

"Are you coming?" He asked as Jin continued some ways past him. Turning with his eyes half open he saw Nen standing in the doorway of the new domicile.

"I thought you said that it wasn't ours."He said.

"I lied." Nen replied going inside. Huffing Jin went back the way he came and followed him in. Looking around the space he took note that their futons and other things had already been moved inside.

"When did you have time to do this?" Jin asked as Nen kneeled down to start the fire in the new hearth.

"Earlier."

"Obviously." Sighing he smirked and sat next to his husband. "Thank you. Living with someone else made me uncomfortable."

"How so?" Nen asked removing his armor to place it aside.

"I felt as if we couldn't be intimate with one another. That if someone saw us be together in any way other than friendly it would ostracize us from the pack." Jin explained.

"Did Jaken say something ridiculous to you Jin?" Nen countered narrowing his eyes slightly.

"No. It is how I was treated before. I grew up in a regular village, not a demon slayer clan. A companion that I had grown up with, we began a secret relationship. I tried to be with women as I got older but he was the only person I could be with."

"We were found out and he turned on me. He told all of the villagers, our families, that I was possessed by evil spirits and I had threatened to take his soul if he didn't comply to my wicked ways."

"So they exiled you." Nen said.

"No, they tried to kill me but I escaped. Kohaku found me and brought me to the demon slayer village. I kept to myself but the villagers there found out. They let me be more or less but I was 'other', that's what they called me."

Turning his full attention to Nen he gave a humorless smirk. "Didn't stop some of them from seeking me out though."

Growling low and baring his fangs somewhat Nen gathered his mate in his arms embracing him tightly. Nuzzling his nose against his dark brown hair he closed his eyes.

"You are mine now. No one else will have you. I will not let anyone treat you poorly in such a way again." He rumbled out. Jin took a steadying breath as he sunk in to his mates warmth.

"I love you Nen. I really, really do." Jin choked out wrapping his arms around his waist. Nudging his head so Jin would look up at him he placed his forehead to his.

"I know." He whispered out.

"You're supposed to say, 'I love you too Jin'." He retorted.

"I tolerate you, Jin." Nen smirked holding onto him more tightly as Jin attempted to push away from him.

"Tolerate me? You're something else you know that? What am I to you, really?" He struggled against him before being toppled over and held down.

"Oh I will show you exactly what you are to me, mate." Nipping at his ear lobe as he breathed heavily Jin shuddered.

As Jiro left his home to patrol with Nagi he saw the light from the hut next to his and Sanas.

"Nen and Jin finally moved in." He said looking to Sana as she poked her head out to see.

"Good. I suppose that must mean all went well with Mitsuo." She replied brightly. "Everyone is getting along again."

"I have to go." Smirking at her fondly as she turned to face him seeing the frown that pulled her lips down slightly. "What's wrong sunflower?"

"I miss you at night. Our bed is cold." Pouting playfully Jiro wrapped his arms around her waist. Nuzzling the side of her head he breathed her scent in.

"It won't last for forever. Our lords and the captain should be with their mates, especially at night." He said. "They would do it for us."

"I know but, just for a moment, let me be a little selfish with you."

"You can be as selfish as you want when it comes to me tomorrow." He said smiling at the small disappointed noise she made. "Get some rest, you're going to need it."

"I look forward to it then darling." Sana replied smiling kissing him quickly. As he let her go and she watched him walk towards the perimeter she felt her happiness close to bursting.

Turning to go inside she caught sight of Kiyoshi coming towards her from his parents.

"Sana, mother requests you." He said. "She doesn't feel well and said it may be some after effects. Father is not back yet and I have no idea what she is taking about."

"I'll explain it to you later." She said rushing with him to the other hut. Walking inside she saw Iku sitting hunched over and shaking. "Iku."

Rushing to her she helped her sit up. "I'm here. I'll make you some of the anti-para infusion."

Shaking her head she grasped Sanas shoulders with trembling hands.

"It would hurt the pup. This is hurting it too. I can feel it." Iku managed out.

"Tell me what to do." Sana said calmly.

"Have Kiyoshi fetch Rin. I have to whelp early to give both of us a chance." Breathing heavily as her tremors became worse Sana glanced behind her.

"Kiyoshi, please bring Rin here. Tell her it is an emergency." Sana ordered. With a nod he was out of the door. "It will be alright. Everything will be just fine Iku."

"Sana, whatever happens I need you to know how much I love you pup." Whimpering as she spoke Sana placed her arms around the demons shoulders holding her to her tightly.

"You are a wonderful mother and I love you so dearly." Placing her face against Ikus head she couldn't help the worried tears that fell. "I am here, no matter what I will be by your side mother."

Feeling the shaky breath that Iku released she comforted her for the time being.
