A/N: Hello dear readers. Just a heads up I will not be posting as much as I have been for the next few weeks as I am moving. Super excited because we are going to be living in a much bigger space than we have been for the last two years, something my family desperately needs.

Thank you fluffyedi for binge reading this story, don't worry I am far from over writing it. Thanks Mai32 for indulging me the other day by talking with me about potential future plot lines and cursedcardinal for being like my super fan, lol.

If anyone has an suggestions or ideas I am all for it. Let me know what you think, what you like or don't like about this story in a review or you can hit me up on discord. Mayuna #2828

For now enjoy!

Needless to say Rin was in some shock to see Kohaku beaten up, more so when he smiled and said Izumi had done it. She didn't deny it and seemed somewhat haughty yet amused.

Rin decided to leave whatever had occurred between them just there and instructed Izumi on how to care for his wounds.

Sitting at the table together as they discussed matters pertaining to their pack Rin noticed the slight wince that Izumi gave every so often.

"Izu, are you in pain?" She asked.

"Discomfort more than pain." She replied. "It is tightening in my back." Reaching back she pointed to the area that was bothering her.

"It could be the start of labor." Rin remarked with a smirk. "Come. Let me examine you in your room." Standing she reached out her hand to her friend.

"Alright Rin." Acquiescing she followed her to her chambers. Kohaku saw Sesshomaru with his eyes on him appearing amused.

"Is there something you would like to say, Lord Sesshomaru?" He questioned receiving a slow head shake in response.

Rin came out a few moments later smiling from ear to ear.

"Kohaku, Lord Sesshomaru; Izumi is in the early part of labor. I believe by tomorrow night she will whelp." She said excitedly. "I am going to let Iku, Emi, and Sana know so we can start to prepare for our baby."

"Interesting." Sesshomaru said softly still staring down Kohaku.

"I can't wait to meet our son." Rin grasped her cloak and sandals putting them on.

"What is my lord?" Kohaku queried knowing he was, in his way, both commending him and teasing him about the source of his injuries and now the fact that Izu was in labor.

"Nothing." He replied nonchalantly.

"Right." Grinning Kohaku stood going to be by his wife's side.

"Did I miss something?" Rin asked her gaze falling to her mate.

"No Rin." Standing he went to her side. "I will inform our guards while you let the females know what is happening."

"That sounds like a good plan." She agreed. "It is funny that it feels as if we just did all of this."

"We did, last year." He reminded.

"Yes, I know that, but it doesn't feel as if an entire year has gone by. It feels so much faster than that." Rin said. Sighing a bit she let herself out leaving Sesshomaru to watch her go.

"Faster than you know." He whispered to himself before making his way out to begin to pass the message along to Nen as he guarded the front.

Entering their room Izumi was lying on her side catching his eye as he entered.

"I take it Rin told you." She stated.

"She did." Kohaku confirmed crossing to their bed. Sitting on the futon beside her he placed his hand to her stomach. "This has turned out be quite an eventful day."

"Oh yes. Now you get to greet our son with that face." She replied making note of his bruises and lacerations. "Idiot."

"Idiot?" Laughing he smiled widely. "If I recall you enjoyed it as well. It was a little disappointing that you broke free so easily but that just means I'll have to tie you down next time."

"Good luck." Smirking at him in a self assured way she closed her eyes making a small noise of discomfort.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" He offered feeling his excitement growing even though Rin had said it would still take up to a day for Izu to give birth.

"Just stay with me." She said reopening her eyes as it passed.

"That was a given." Moving aside some of her hair from her forehead he leaned down to lay a soft, reassuring kiss.
