The day the pros came and took us away was the worst.
Ha, yeah, right.
But they'll never know that, will they?
Because they never want to know our reasons. They only want to know about our plans. Of course, that's always what they want, but that is where the problem lies. We have yet to learn about the project. AFO has yet to tell us anything. We're just tools and pawns in All for Ones' chess game.
Shigaraki POV
I'm sitting in an interrogation room. When I walked into the interrogation room, I saw Dabi, Toga, and Twice being put into separate rooms. We looked at each other, our eyes filled with complete fear. I think the police officers mistook our anxiety for a look, saying something like, "we need to escape."
The next minute, a man comes into the room and sits beside me. He doesn't have any papers, yet he looks confident in his abilities.
"Hello, Shigaraki; my name is Lee. I want you to answer a few questions. Is that alright?" the man I now know is called Lee asked. He's friendly; I like him.
I tilt my head from side to side, "I don't know what you expect to get out of me, but sure." He nods as if he knows how this is going to go.
"Could you please state your real name?" I tense up at that but decide to be cheeky.
"Do you mean my name now or the one I had at birth? Those are two different things."
I knew what he would say, so I answered both, "My name now is Tomura Shigaraki; however, my birth name was Tenko Shimura." He looks shocked at the knowledge of my name.
"How old are you?" He asked. He wanted to change the subject from that last answer. Lee was also a little shocked to know that I was only 20.
Lee kept asking his questions while I answered each one with the truth. I could tell either Lee or someone else watching most likely could tell when someone was lying. We had some fun, too. We cracked a few jokes and talked about simple miscellaneous things. He even asked me about some of my favourite video games to play.
After a while, he asked me if I knew anything that All for One was planning. I knew it was coming, so I had an answer ready, but I choked at first. I wanted to know how well my explanation would go.
Looking down at my hands covered in black artists' gloves (I smiled at them for a second before saying thanks for them) then responded after sighing, "He found me when I was just five years old. My father wasn't nice to me because I wanted to be a hero like my Grandma Nana. He hated me to the point of beating me sometimes. I didn't have a quirk, but the last beating was so bad that it manifested."
I'm glad the handcuffs let me reach my face, so I could wipe my eyes clear. "My dog came to comfort me. I hugged my dog and, yeah... I was freaking out because my dog was dead beside me, and my voice was raspy. Then my sister came out and started freaking out, and I grabbed her, begging for help... My mother, Grandma and Grandpa came out. I remember I didn't even touch them, only the ground..." I sniffled and wiped my eyes again before smiling a genuine, non-creepy smile. "My father came out, and I touched him"
I frowned deeply afterwards. "Once that happened, I left. I wandered the streets for a while before All for One picked me up. No one helped me, they all assumed heroes would take care of it, but no one came. That's why I hated heroes. Now though? I have no real reason to hate someone I've seen as a true hero. Not to mention those hero's in training, some seem to have the usual motives of fame or money, but they also want to help. I can't help but admire them now."
I looked at Lee for the first time and saw him crying. I freaked out and stood up without thinking. I ended up falling back down in the chair hard. "Ow, but why are you crying, Lee?" Lee wiped his eyes before grabbing me and hugging me. I tensed up at first before loosening up and hugging back the best I could.
"Sit and relax. I'll bring you some food and something to drink. You'll have a visitor soon. They're currently with Toga, but they'll give you the same information." I nodded and said thank you for being so lovely to me.
When Lee left, he looked proud for some reason. I shrug and hum a song I love, Angel with a Shotgun. Someone's watching me, so I sing it lowly to confuse them.
The next thing I know, the door bangs open, and I stop singing and screech. Said action caused me to fall out of the chair and onto the floor with my arms suspended above me. "Ouch, fucking hell!" I got up the best I could and met with the pro hero Eraserhead. I gasp and cover my head, expecting to be hit for what I've done to him and his class and for what I just said.
I was shocked when he placed a few dishes and a bottle in front of me. Looking up, I see him with his usual frown getting ready to sit down. He grabs one of the dishes and opens it to show spaghetti before eating. I assume the other dish is for me, so I open it and see the same thing. I started eating when he stopped. It was because I was eating fast, but we both finished. He shoves the bottle of water toward me.
I drink while he asks, "What were you saying about heroes and my students?" I choke on the water.
"U-um, well, I didn't mean all pros. It was only you." He looks shocked for a second by my answer. "The whole reason I said that was your ability to fight so many people at once to protect the students. It takes courage and considerable knowledge to do that, and I admire that. The same goes for those kids, especially Midoriya."
Again, he looks shocked before going back to his stoic face. "Nezu has a proposition for you and the other three. It's a rehabilitation program. You'd be put into my class and trained to become a hero with the rest of them. He feels it's only right considering how young you are."
I smiled happily, "Wait? I have a chance to be a hero?" I was so ecstatic that I laughed. "Yes!" He erased my quirk, and my god, that's terrifying. So I sat back down and acted innocent so he'd calm down. Gladly, it worked.
"If you accept, the crimes you committed will be frozen, in a sense. Once, and if, you graduate, we will clear them completely." Eraser explains to me.
I nod slowly, "Did any of the others give their answers?" It looks suspicious to ask that, but the League is like a family to me. If they said they'd go, I would, but they would only if their answers were yes. Then, I'd have to take whatever punishment they'd give me.
"They all said they would as long as you went with them."
There is only one honest answer to that question. It's a yes!
