Chapter 13: Poison Alliance.

So before we begin I want to-

Anyway some time ago I was asked through a PM why I never pay too much attention to details, as In never explain the environments the characters are in. And I would like to bring this to light again, see my reason is that I'm sure most of you have been reading Fanfics for a while now. And you all by now should have your own pictures on how the Smash Mansion looks like. And then if I come along with my own iteration of it, well, really what's the point... you guys have your wonderful imaginations already and i'm not tampering with it. Like when you read a good book and then you have the picture of the characters and the environment, ETC. But then the movie of that book comes out and the characters and environment look nothing like you imagined. I did add some detail about the camp grounds because there are no camp grounds in smash. Now some of you might get disappointed by this fact or others are just like me, am I right. So I just decided to skip the details and let the readers imagined the characters in the wonderful environments already pictured in your heads, instead of me trying to cram new images in your mind that won't feel right. Because I for one was disappointed by some movies of books especially one of my favorite books. *cough *cough "Jurassic park!" *cough *cough.
The weather outside turned darker as did the situation, to recap the smashers where fighting an uprising of infamous rivals, enemies and villains that showed up out of the blue. Perhaps it was an uprising of rejected fighters out for vengeance, like Eggman over there battling Sonic. And Master Hand, everyone wondered where the gloved being is and why he hasn't showed up with all this chaos…
*Meanwhile in Master Hands Cabin.*
Master Hand was holding a handkerchief as he wiped his nonexistent tears off his face while watching his sop operas. "Why did Emily have to depart this life?" he sniffed as he continued watching then he heard a loud bang against the door and a loud grunt from Mario. "DO YOU MIND KEEP IT DOWN OUT THERE!" he shouts at the door and then turned to continue watching, on the outside however Mario let out a small squeal. But being strangled wasn't really helping him much with speaking in which he was trying to warn Master Hand. Across the camp however Luigi was running with fear going into hiding in a small cabin, barricading the door with everything he could find. On the other side however King Boo laughs at how Luigi forgot he is a ghost and can go through solid objects. He simply went through the back and watched as Luigi was pilling things up at the door to barricade it against him. He starts handing the panicked Luigi stuff to barricade the door with afterwards. When he hands him the last item which was a small nightstand, Luigi gladly took it. "Thanks!" he says and rushed over and placed it against the door.
"Oh you're welcome!" King Boo responded with a big evil grin and Luigi wiped his forehead with the back of his hand resting against the stuff. He stiffens and goes pale when he stops and realizes who handed him the last object. He slowly turns around as the room is filled with sinister laughter.
Mario was struggling in the arms of his huge assailant who was trying to squish his head like a berry. But before that happened a large shot hit his assailant blowing them away making it crash through a wall of a nearby cabin. Mario gets up in a half daze and turns to see Samus in her power suit approach. "Mario what the hell is happening around here!?" She explains while he just lets out an exhausted breath.
"What do you-a mean?" he said dusting himself off and then Samus motioned towards the back of camp where Yoshi was being chased by a Yoob. Ness fighting Gyagis in a vortex he created near the docks in a fierce battle that seemed tied at the moment. But it didn't stop there, Ike was also there fighting the Black Knight clashing swords with him. Even more so Captain Falcon and Blood Falcon were on top of a cabin roof dueling it out. As for everyone else their where abouts where unknown because they had all left to spend the day in the small town near by.
Mario just stared at the chaos wondering how could this have happen all, these enemies just appeared out of nowhere. They should have been ready and prepared, but enemies always got the drop on them like Giga Bowser and Tabuu of course. Samus who was next to him at the time got shot by a giant dark pulsating beam. It sent her backwards with great force making her slam into and drop several trees before coming to a hault. Mario quickly turns around panicked to see a Samus completely clad in Black…
Meanwhile back in Town...
Robin and Raven slowly backed away from the Fiend before them, who was grinning at their obvious disadvantage. The tacticians however were quickly trying to device a plan to take down their father while turning their disadvantage to their advantage. "Well, well it seems I have the upper hand Robin" he proclaims rather smugly to them.
"That's what you may think father!" Raven backlashes and pauses for a moment as an intriguing thought crossed her mind. "Or, are you... are you his father?" She puzzled and stops and pointed a thumb behind her at Robin who sweat dropped.
"We're in the midst of battle and that's what's troubling you!?" Robin exclaimed in disbelief as Raven turns her head towards him with a sly shrug of her shoulders.
"Well, you know i'm curious, I mean who does he hate more?" She states curiously motioning back and forth between Robin and their Father.
"I despise you both equally!" He exclaims with a stomp of his foot while the two tacticians looked on skeptically.
"Well I mean, yeah, but if you're his father obviously you would despise him more seeing as he's the one that thwarted your plans to begin with. I haven't wronged you, yet, so of course you'd be more infuriated with him. And vice versa if you are to be indeed my father and not his." Raven explains much to the annoyance of their father who was growing irritated with them. Robin however was intrigued by this information however as now he was deep in thought.
"Come to think of it, that would play a big part in the outcome of this battle. Seeing as the one he's most infuriated with will be that prime target for attack, giving the other a chance to counterstrike. Ah I see, good catch there sis!" Robin says with a snap of his fingers while stroking his chin in surprise while Raven turns to him bobbing her head up and down.
"Eh yeah pretty much, it's genius!" She says as she stands proudly, placing her hands on her hips with a smug little smile. Their father of course stared on in disbelief while he angrily growls under his breath and his left eye twitched, all the while his children ignore him and converse like he's not even in the room. He clears his throat rather loudly while pounding a fist angrily on one of the shelves. Raven jumps a foot and Robin snaps out of his thoughts and they both turn to face him again rather annoyed.
"As a matter of fact I am both of your fathers!" He states earning him blank stares from the silver haired pair, he sighs and runs a hand down his face trying to keep his cool. "Let me explain, like yourselves I also found out there was an alternate dimension. So I fused with my counterpart with some powerful magic from one of my new comrades, becoming twice as powerful and twice as fast!" He exclaims rather loudly as he dashed forward in a blink of an eye appearing behind Robin. He hits him over the head the hilt of his sword making Robin hit the floor in an instant with a loud thud.
"Were those birds always there?" Robin groaned confusingly while pointing above his head, before his face went flat on floor becoming motionless.
"O-oh, oh, y-you weren't kidding about the fusion speed and strength thing huh?" Raven says backing away laughing out of pure nervousness and fright as the fiend turns to her cracking his knuckles…
And meanwhile back to Marth
"Well if it isn't my most trusted and loyal friend!" he says rather sarcastically as he and his opponent circled each other and his opponent chuckled.
"I'm flattered that you remember me It's been so long!" his opponent responded back as they both slowly raised their weapons. And then began the clashing of weapons hacking things away and knocking things over and breaking things. Eventually though Marth was sent crashing through the back door of the store making their battle resume through the back alley. Moments later though two giant turtle dragons came clashing down the isle one a green color and the other of a dark blue. Marth and his opponent just watched them tumble by with their backs against the wall so as to not get trampled, they disappear down a different alley and then continued their sword fight…
And finally back with Lucina...
"How?! You can't be here, we defeated you there is no way you could be here now! Robin sacrificed himself so rid the world of you!?" She harshly exclaims to the sinister being who stood there and slowly removes its hood to show its full face.
"Funny you should say that, tell me then how do you explain Robin still being alive hmm?" He says smugly as the memories of the fiend came painfully flooding back to her. It pained her that he looked like the man she was starting to fall madly in love with. The Robin from the alternate future that was successfully possessed by Grima stood in front of her once again. He rushed forward but she kicked him on the chin sending him crashing into a shelf knocking it over along with him.
"It seems like you've been training but not enough!" he states and rushed forwards again kicking Lucina in the stomach sending her crashing in to a self herself. "You're so weak, you've always been so weak you don't have a prayer against me you never did!" The dragon mocked her as it approached with a grin of amusement. She slowly got back up as the fiend was approaching again and fast. She tries to get away but he struck her the impact of which sends her backwards and made her slid across the floor a good amount of feet. She tried to stand again but he kicked her on the stomach sending her back down to the floor. "You've always been weak and fragile always depending on everyone else never capable of fending for yourself, come to think of it you never did anything worthy and heroic. Like your family has done for generations, you're a fluke, a fake in the timeline, a defective so to speak." He proclaims as he stood over Lucina with a wide grin watching her coil up on the floor waiting for her next move.
However after hearing those last few words Lucina felt some deep anger from within her, how she despised those words but it didn't start at Dark Pit though. No there where many more who questioned her necessity, of course only going by rumors and statements. Often just doing comparison to their 'favorites' just to be made look inferior. She managed to keep her cool however, as in the more resent training matches with Dark Pit she has been learning to keep her temper in control. No matter what he pulled she never snapped there was always one thing that got to her always and that was being called a defective. It infuriated her to no end, still she's been able to hide it lately forcing herself under control. Although she managed to keep calm her attacks did become a little more forced something she still needs to control.
She slowly stands to glare at the fiend who mocked the tacticians appearance with its presence. "Says the fell dragon Grima" she retaliates wiping the smug look off his face. He forms his hands tightly into fists all the while Lucina just smirked, sure she wasn't one for back talk or cleaver comebacks and what not, but being around someone like Dark Pit you pick up a thing or two.
"You dare mock the great dragon Grima, I succeeded in destroying your world while you could only watch hopelessly!" he spat back at her while shrugs.
"I'm not sure you an even consider being worthy of the title 'dragon' anymore after your humiliating defeat at Robins hands. Ultimately your plan backfired and blew up in your face."She states sternly while also shrugging while his eyes turn wide and dragon like.
"You petty little girl I'll show you!" He exclaims as he took out his own version of Robin's Levin sword. lucky for her though their 'little chat' helped her get a weapon, as she had spotted a neat rapier earlier on display and after she crashed into the shelf it shattered its glass case. It was just lying on the floor and she managed to get a hold of it while he was rambling on and on. He strikes at her but she clashed swords with him as electric sparks flew off of his. Surely a hit from that would bring immense pain. She continued her assault as did he but unlike last time she managed to keep up with him and his attacks, Master Hand meant his word when he said warriors would improve greatly by coming here. He tried to use thoron on her but she managed to evade the attack and the ones that followed, eventually he growled in frustration and did the unexpected, his eyes shone a dark red color and his mouth opened wider then human standards and a large stream of fire came out of it. Not entirely expecting that she managed to dodge but not unscathed, one of her sleeves caught on fire and she quickly tore it off. She needed a way to be able to block that attack, dodging would eventually fail her or one false step and game over. She was tying to catch her breath as he appeared at the end of the isle she was hiding at with another grin and embers started to drip from his mouth.
Meanwhile back with Marth...
He was still clashing swords with his once upon a time best friend but as we all know he turned on him, or at least some of us. They both now glared at their opponents while panting waiting for the other to make the first move even ignoring the Bowsers tumbling down the ally again. His opponent made the first move however and aimed a well timed attack that would lop off Marth's head, but Marth managed to dodge the attack his opponent threw only cutting a few strands of his hair. He didn't want to think or say the assailants name for him it was forgotten in the back of his mind locked away forever. They continued to clash swords with each other each strike sending sparks flying into the air in the ongoing fury of attacks, he made another swift move but this time aimed at Marth's legs surly that attack would render him helpless. But Marth once again dodged by jumping atop a nearby dumpster and his opponent jumped up as well and their battle resumed atop the large metal container.
Eventually Bowser was send crashing into the dumpster they were both currently clashing at sending it racing down the ally at top speeds. Despite this however their clash continued full throttle as both of them seek to over power their enemy. Marth was the first to notice that they were heading towards a wall and at the speed they where going it weren't going to be a great finale. He spotted some fire escape stairs and extended his arm to get a hold of it and managed to avoid the collision, his opponent however also managed to climb up the fire escape as well where the battle continued up the fire escape.
Back at camp...
Mario was once again facing his assailant from before; the original Donkey Kong he battled to get Pauline back all those years ago. Their battled raged on while a few feet away Samus was engaged in battle with the Samus clad in all black firing charged shots at each other. Luigi was still in the cabin trapped with King Boo but this time he was panicky trying to suck him up with a vacuum. Mario managed to deliver a punch infused with fire that knocked the large ape a few feet back. It beat it chest and rushed at Mario again ready to pummel him into the ground, it tried to use its head to smash him in but Mario used his cape to turn him around and knock him forwards. It pounded its large fist on the ground in anger as it stood back up and began a fury of punches aimed at the red clad plumber.
All the while Master Hand was still in his cabin watching his sop operas completely oblivious to the commotion outside. but none the less he would often grumble to himself about how noisy the Smashers were being, but instead of going out to tell them to keep quiet, which he figured was useless anyways Smashers will be Smashers, he simply turned the volume up a bit and relaxed once he could hear again. "Giiiiiiirl! you can do so much better them him!" he spoke to the TV while taking sip of tea.
Samus and Dark Samus continued to circle each other and then began to try to hit their mark with their weapons and Samus changed her blaster to the Nova beam. All in hopes to do some serious damage to the assailant who was swiftly dodging all her shots, she managed to get a good hit on Dark Samus. The dark copy stood and began to shake sending out blobs around it that started to make copies of itself that surrounded Samus…
Back with Raven and a unconscious Robin...
Raven was currently seeking the selves for something to help her against the assailant after her. But sadly to no avail all these ancient artifacts where no good, so she had to resort to crawling away from him stealthily as he smashed stuff to find her. Robin was still at the back of the store face down which worried her that blow to the head must have been hard. She crawls through another self as she sees her maniacal father approaching and stumbles upon a round metallic shield. She smirks thanking the universe for the stroke of luck and picked it up and heading down he isle he was in. She finds him still looking and rushes at him with a short battle cry and smacks him in the back of the head full force with said shield. It didn't faze him however and her eyes go wide, he rears his fist back and throws a punch to which she raises the shield to protect herself hoping he breaks his hand on it. He punches right through it however and she screams while staring at the large fist mere inches from her. The shield did absorb a lot of the hit however but it was useless now. She just lets go of it leaving stuck on his arm, in which Raven initiated her next brilliant strategy: running like hell from the overpowered psychopath she knows only as her father. She takes off running while he removes the shield from his arm angrily and rushes after the tactician.
She tries hiding behind a shelf way in the back in hopes of loosing the freak only for him to simply tumble the thing down forcing her out in the open. "Come now you don't have a chance this battle is already won!" he states while they slowly circled each other.
"W-Well last time I-I-I checked, a battle is won when your opponent is down and o-o-out." She responds with a shaky voice and looks down at her feet, "a-a-and I'm still standing, so your logic is flawed f-father."
"Oh don't worry I'll make sure your down and out permanently," he responded taking out a large sword preparing to strike her down with it. While she holds a small stick in front of her defensively making him scoff. She throws it at him and he blankly stares as it bounces off of him and hits the floor. She gulps while he looks back at her and raises his sword to attack.
"What's That?!" She blurts out pointing behind him, to which he quickly turns to see nothing there. He turns back around and sees her running away full blast towards the back of the store. He growls angrily getting more irritated however he managed to catch her off guard with his speed. She may have distracted him and gotten a head start but Raven and Robin aren't exactly fast runners. He steps in front of her grabbing her from the throat and even lifting her off of the ground a few feet. He just violently jerks her back and forth having gotten irritated with her games.
"You know I was going to make your end swiftly, but now that you really pissed me off i'm going to enjoy killing you nice. And. Slow!" He states while she still struggled in his hold and she even scoffs a little.
"I'm starting to suspect you despise me more!" She squeals out as he angrily stares up at her seeing as he plans of finishing her slowly. She was gasping while desperately trying to fill her lungs with air again but to no avail, he could have easily snapped her neck with ease but it looks as though he wanted to enjoy this as long as possible. "You… know…" she breathes out, "for a villain... you have soft hands." She gasps and he just looks at his other hand with a raised eyebrow. "But... you... should really... get... that... mark checked out!" She squeals out again and he drops her instantly looking down at his hand confused.
"What?!" He states looking over his palm but of course it was fine there was nothing there. He looks up as he watches her stand up and punch him across the face with all her might, a cracking sound is followed. Raven quickly shouts in pain holding her hand in her other while softly blowing on it and starts whimpering in pain. Seeing as he fell for another one of her tricks he angrily growls and slams her against the wall from her throat again but with more force then before. This time however she couldn't do much but be helplessly lifted off the floor against the wall as she held unto his arm trying desperately to pry it off her. "Where did I go wrong with you?" He says as he slowly shakes his head watching her smack his arm hopelessly.
"When you tried to have my body possessed!" She frustratingly squeaks out making him add more force.
"Silence!" He exclaims watching as she had slowly started to turn blue and loose consciousness. That's when he decides she's had enough and she watches hopelessly as he raise his sword for the finishing blow.
Just then Robin appears behind him holding a large piece of wood hitting the fiend in the back of the head full force. It shattered into small pieces upon contact but he remained unfazed as if he hadn't even felt that. He releases Raven who drops to the floor gasping loudly desperately trying to get air back into her lungs and looking a little pale. Robin backed away slowly as the fiend approached him and then dashed at him, Robin moved out of the way but also receiving a gash on his right arm that he clutched as it began to sting. His assailant turned around again preparing for another attack and another sinister grin appeared on his face. "Robin I'll be with you in a moment be patient and wait your turn and I promise your end will be swift." he says stepping forward and triggering a random wire that he was oblivious to.
"As tempting as that sounds father, I'm going to have to pass" Robin retorts with a smirk seeing as how his plan worked out and he fell for his trap.
"Isolate fool you where always such a huge disappointment not to mention a bastard that-" The fiend never got to finish his sentence as a huge heavy self that was suppose to be attached to the wall fell on him, even bringing down a large chunk of wall with it. The rubble starts to shake before a hand emerged from the wreckage, it just extended briefly before falling limp. Robin let out a breath of relief, something that big and heavy would of turned a normal human to paste, so he figured it ought to render the fiend unconscious for a good while and hopefully even cripple him. He went to where Raven was sitting on the floor finally looking relaxed and taking long breaths of air. He offers his hand to her in which he gladly took it and stood up.
"Nicely done I can't believe I didn't think of that myself, but I guess the pressure of being chased by that maniac didn't let me think strait." She said with a sigh as she looked at the large pile of rubble with a limp hand sticking out of it.
"Well I actually couldn't have done it without you, your distraction of course gave me plenty of time to set the trap up! This building is pretty old and worn down though, can't believe I didn't notice at first." He says as they began to leave and he looks the place over some more.
"Is it just me or did we some how teleport to a different location away from Marth and Lucina?" Robin said scratching the top of his head.
"Oh Naga we forgot about Lucina!? she could also be in danger!" Raven suddenly blurted out while dashing out of the store in search of the blue haired swordswoman with Robin following. In the back of the store the limp hand rose once again while the pile of rubble began to shake violently…
Meanwhile back with Lucina...
Who at the moment was still fighting the possessed Robin, well fleeing from him now as he had melted the sword to a puddle of hot steal earlier. Forcing her to flee at the moment in search of a weapon or something she could use to defend herself with. He however was still trying to torch her alive, parts of her clothing where either burned or ripped due to being slashed at and torched. Then it all turned bad when she managed to get herself cornered in a dead end, the fiend found her and a sinister grin formed on his face, his mouth began to open in a inhuman way again as the back of his throat glowed a orange color. She could only stand there hopelessly at her inevitable end.
Just then however the unthinkable happened, a random dumpster came crashing through the wall. It plowed through the store at top speeds hitting the possessed Robin while also carrying him out of the store as it plowed through the front and fell off a steep cliff. Lucina only stared completely dumfounded at what just happened and peered out the large hole in the wall, she peeks into the ally and saw nothing at first until she noticed the two Bowsers going at it at the other side. A quick flash from above caught her attention as something was reflecting light on the roof…
Back at the epic or unepic in some cases camp battle...
Mario focused all his energy into one final attack as the large ape was drawing nearer and nearer and then he released his attack. He gave the ape a fiery uppercut the send him flying a few meters away, that attack seemed to have done it as he crash landed. Mario let out a breath of relief and approached what he wonders is where the large ape came from, he knows it wasn't DK because this ape had a darker colored fur on it while DK had the light shade of brown on his fur. He turned around only to hear some shuffling behind him and he turned and saw the ape was back on its feet again, it grabbed Mario by the head again and slammed him down on the ground knocking the air out of him forcefully.
Samus wasn't having better luck either as Dark Samus kept on getting the drop on her while she was trying to defeat the clones. Her Chozo battle armor by now was dented and scrapped, several sparks would emit from it at time to time. At this rate Samus wasn't going to make it, her suit could only take so much before it was a total game over. And fighting in her Zero Suit was not an option, she herself knew she could try to defeat her dark counterpart like that but it would only get her so far before she would be brought down easily. She had previously switched her blaster to the magma beam and just now switched it to the light & dark beam. Once she defeated the last of the clones it was just her and Dark Samus left again. But she was dangerously low on energy, the two circled each other for a brief time before finally dashing towards the other firing off projectiles.
Luigi was now chucking everything he used to barricade the door with at King Boo as the vacuum he was using stopped working, courtesy of King Boo who disconnected it from the wall. But King Boo just floated there with a blank expression as everything flew through him, and yet Luigi kept on flinging things at him like there was no tomorrow. Eventually he bolted out the doors at top speeds. The King just sighed this was funny at first but now it was just sad none the less his sinister grin returned and he gave chase.
The Falcons where still in the forest but this time exchanging punches and kicks oh and also happened to be fighting atop the falcon flyer, Falcon called it earlier for who knows what reason but he did and he and his adversary where battling it out there.
And lastly Ness was still engaged in battle against Gyagis, who was slowly gaining the upper hand on the PSI hero. And just when he thought things couldn't get any worse he was then later engaged by the porky statue that seemed to team up against him. He takes a hit from both of them that send him crashing towards the ground but he was slowly loosing the will to fight. This tournament just wasn't doing it for him sure he got to meet many new and exciting people but he still felt left out, he barely hanged out with anyone anymore because they all had 'other things' to do even one of his best friends Toon. He just stood slumped on the ground feeling down saying to himself what's the point anyways as his enemies approached. Just as they where upon him ready to finish off the PSI hero however the unthinkable happened.
"PK FREEEZE!" the shout echoed through the camp. The next thing Ness knew was that his adversaries where frozen in place. "PK Thunder!" Another shout came and the rushing sound of electricity, the assailants where then shattered into a million pieces, all by a figure that rushed through and stopped in front of Ness with a shy smile on his face. Porky then came out of the statue to engage the newcomer that jump atop the machine and froze it in place.
"PK FLASH!" Ness shouts sending sending a large surge of energy at the frozen machine making it blow up completely. The blonde solutes to Ness happily and feeling full of energy, he was excited to be back. He then rushed over to help the others freezing Donkey Kong, Dark Samus, King Boo and even Blood Falcon all at once in the middle of camp. They escaped their icy prison glaring at the little boy with blonde hair. When they prepared to attack him he started to glow with a rainbow aura, and his eyes turned yellow he then jumped a few feet in the air to execute his last attack "PK… STARSTORM!" he shouted as large meteors came crashing down on the foes that pounded them into the ground. although a few of them seemed to be trying to withstand the attack it was of no use. The foes all lay defeated in the middle of camp inside a large smoking crater the boy landed next to; a little snake came out of his pocket and briefly spoke while the boy just shrugged as the assailants disintegrated in a puff of black smoke
Everyone gathered cheers in victory and approached the boy, Ness tackled him into a hug missing the blond boy the most as everyone 'awwwed' at the friends' reunion. Everyone soon joined in welcoming the boy back who just shyly stood there muttering thanks to everyone while C. Flacon hoisted him up.
That was when Master Hand's cabin finally opened and he stepped out to see the campsite in ruins. He turns to glare at the Smashers before him while he slowly starts to turn red and veins pop out. The Smashers however all stood there with sheepish smiles as the cabin behind them blew up. Steam started to flow out of the gloved being at that point.
*Back in town...*
Marth and his opponent stood exhausted, panting while slowly circling each other, he could feel the drops of sweat running down his brow. He kept his gaze on his enemy preparing to engage once again and hopefully finish him. But before anything could happen his assailant took a brick to the back of the head that shattered on impact. Marth just stared confused as his opponent fell to the floor unconscious with Lucina standing behind him holding another brick. He sheathed his sword and approached Lucina who tossed the brick aside and sighed in relief "are you alright Marth?" she asked.
"Yes thank you" he says with a sigh staring down at his assailant wondering where he came from and how he came to be again.
"Marth what is going on here?" she asked watching as all over town smashers where still engaged in fierce battle with numerous foes. Meta Knight flew overhead clashing swords with another armored puffball clad in black with red eyes. Charizard also flew overhead shortly after trying to avoid large jets of water coming from a large blue turtle with two cannons emitting from its shell. And explosion is heard a few buildings over and they turn to see two arwings in battle with some black ships with four wings.
"I don't have the slightest idea..." Marth says staring at the chaos as a building at the far edge of town exploded after being struck by two enormous strikes of lighting. They see Pikachu emerge from the explosion followed by a larger looking version of himself with a long tail and darker color.
What really got them is that Marths' assailant disappeared in a puff of black smoke moments later. "I think I need to consult this with the Elite Six" he says hurriedly taking out his communication device. A minute later he placed it back down "the line is cut" he said in a soft tone. They then saw Bowser struggling with his assailant down below. Lucina then nudges Marth as she spots a large block of bricks.
"Marth give me a hand with this" she says as they press their backs against it and begin to push it. They manage to make the block fall below, Bowser spots the incoming bricks and pushes his assailant into it before backing up. Before Dark Bowser can react the block smashes him completely making him also disintegrate into a puff of black smoke. Marth and Lucina approached cautiously as the last of the smoke finished evaporating, and Bowser turned to face them with a raised eye brow.
"Hey any idea what the hell just happened?" he asked Marth as well most likely because he was part of the Elite Six and they are suppose to know everything.
"Your guess is as good as mine" he responded and knelt near the crater the block made looking to see if anything was left behind as Lucina and Bowser watched closely. He stood back up looking deep in thought as he tried to figure something out or at least come up with something.
"No one has a clue do they" Bower sighs, "and yet another enemy gets the drop on us, again." he states with a bored tone in his voice leaning against the wall.
Robin and Raven soon stepped out into the alley looking panicked and exhausted. But relaxed upon seeing Lucina there and she approached the battered tacticians. "Oh Lucina thank Naga!" Raven breathed out while still trying to catch her breath from all the running.
"What happened to you guys?" she asks seeing them bruised and battered, especially Raven.
"We could ask you the same question?" Raven responded seeing Lucina with burns and scrapes not to mention messy hair.
"Apparently a large group of enemies just appeared out of nowhere, started attacking everyone. And worse yet is that none of us saw it coming we should have though with all the surveillance equipment that is." Marth spoke up as he approached the group and Bowser scoffed. But before anyone could say any more a hand roughly grabbed Robin, and dragged him back into the destroyed antique shop through the hole the dumpster made earlier. Marth unsheathed his sword and immediately went to assist Robin with his assailant.
"Stay here Lucy its safe!" Raven told her but Lucina wanted to protest, why should she stay behind she was more then capable of helping. She then spotted Bowser yawn and then began walking away and she quickly approached the large villain.
"Wait, aren't you going to help us?!" she said standing in front of him while he just stared boredly down at the swordswoman.
"And why should I do such a thing?" he questioned as he crossed his arms with a bored expression
"Because aren't you a Smasher, this is what we do help each other out!" she responded back a little harshly.
"Oh really and what do I get out of it?" he retorts glaring down at her.
"Well you can do something worthy for once in your miserable life which would be a start since it's never happened before!" she responded to him rather harshly.
"What did you say?!" he exclaims in a demanding tone as he now stood towering over her but she remained unfazed.
"You know what never mind, sorry I asked you wouldn't comprehend the situation much less be of any use." she states rather coldly and walked away. He just stared down at the ground she previously stood for a while before turning to see the battle in the antique shop.
Lucina stepped through the hole and saw the three fighting the fiend she instantly recognized who was over powering them. His speed and power was giving him an advantage, Lucina then spots a metal pipe laying on the floor obviously torn out of the wall. He traps the three under a self and then prepares to finish them off with the raise of his sword. Before he could however Lucina strikes him in the back of the head with the large metallic pipe. He however turns around unfazed and takes the pipe from her hands crushing it like a simple tin can. He began to crack his knuckles as he managed to back her up against the wall and raised both his fists into the air ready to pummel her.
Before he could however he was tackled by a charging Bowser that hit him with his head sending him back a few feet. Bowser then stomped over and grabbed the fiend and started to repeatedly punch him down into the floor creating a crater. While the fiend stayed crushed on the floor Bowser finished him off with a 'Bowser bomb' making the fiend disappear in a puff of black smoke. "You guys are pathetic, that was too easy!" He scoffed and then stomped away through the front, he spots Lucina smirking at him but he just ignores her and stormed off grumbling to himself looking for something else to pummel. She helps the other three from under the self who all nod at once deciding to go and help others.
They quickly exited the shop as well and began to help the ones in need, villains and heroes alike all teamed up to defeat the group of enemies. Though a lot of these Smashers despised each other they set their differences aside for the time being at least to beat the opponent. This day or battle shall be remembered to many as the 'Poison Alliance' for many obvious reasons. But in the end the Smashers triumphed over the enemy that stood no chance against the Smashers once they started to cope. Bringing back an old saying "United we stand, but divided we fall" and it surly fit the situation.
*Later that day after a large glorious battle…*
They had all gathered around the middle camp as the sun began to set, Master Hand was making an announcement about the situation today. Saying how he created the enemies like a sort of projection similar to how assist trophies function, angering some in the process. But he said he was actually proud of each and every Smasher because the activity was to help smashers cope with each other, and that is exactly what the results where the smashers all banded together despite differences. Someone asked about the damage done to the town and what Master Hand was planning on doing about it to which others agreed. In which he stated that, that town had been abandoned for decades now but he fixed it up a little to look normal, he then hid the assailants all over the town to engage them. So the damage done was not really important that place was a sort of ghost town now the inhabitants all left a while back.
Soon afterwards Master Hand said he was throwing them a celebration for their success and victory over the enemy. Not only that but he introduced a small shy boy that went by the name of Lucas which he was being praised at the moment. the veterans seemingly knowing who he is all approached to greet the boy some of the newcomers also went to introduce themselves.
That night Master Hand prepared a great feast for everyone and a night of relaxation after a day of hiking to the town and brawling. Everyone was having a blast believe it or not even the villains who got to crush someone today put them in a good mood. Well, except Mewtwo seeing his shadow counterpart put the legendary in a sour mood but hey that's just Mewtwo.
Ness was overjoyed which is new, as he seemed to be mopey as of late, but now he was springing with joy along with the rest of the Smashers. Yes indeed the day did seem to lighten up despite it being nighttime this was certainly one day that the smashers would never forget. And especially since a certain pink princess was snapping pictures the whole time. somehow, even of the fights even with all the explosion and commotion they came out good. They all stayed up late that day with a bunch of activities going around. All activity ended around three in the morning, a one of the best parts was that Master Hand fixed the camp site as a bonus. So everyone got a good rest in a comfy bed of their own much to everyone's relief…
The next morning or rather the next noon this is when most of the smashers started to wake from their slumbers...
Lucina awoke around that time herself feeling refreshed and energized after a long rest especially after what happened the day before. She stood from bed and went into the bathroom to change into her another pair of casual clothing and then headed out towards the cafeteria. Marth was there along with Robin and Pit who had Viridi hanging on to him like tick. She grabbed her lunch and then joined the group that sat at the far end of the table and were either chatting or eating. She sat down and quietly ate her food all the while Marth and Robin where chatting about the events yesterday, she really didn't want to remember that much. As out of everything or everyone Master Hand just had to used Possessed Robin didn't he. She's not proud of it but she was holding back most of the battle because deep down inside she knew Robin was still there subconsciously somewhere. She was stubborn that way, but she wonders what that strong aching feeling is about Robin. She wants to be around him more, she wanted to be embraced by him and noticed by him. She would always get nervous and shy around him not to mention her heart speed up, she sat there thinking to herself what was that warm feeling he gave her.
Raven walked in soon afterwards and joined the group, she also got lost in her thoughts just staring down at her cup of coffee. Pit tried to get up but Viridi of course wasn't making it easy "Where you going Pit?" she asked still keeping him from leaving.
"I need to go somewhere" he said slowly getting out of his seat and her grasp.
"Well then I'll accompany you!" She says cheerfully, while also standing up and stood in front of him with her usual cheery smile.
"NO, y-y-you can't come!" he blurted out in a nervous and shaky voice but she gave him a confused look.
"And why is that Pitrious?!" she scoffed crossing her arms and giving him a glare.
"B-b-b-b-because I need to go to the restroom" he whispers in a hushed voice and she stopped glaring, and stared dumfounded.
"Oh, uh… well in that case I'll wait here then!" she responds rather awkwardly
he just shrugs turned and walked away. "How about I get us food in the meantime?" She asked him trying to stop him once again but he simply waved her off.
"Sure you do that" he responded and disappeared behind the door of the men's restroom. She walked over to the front of the cafeteria looking at the many food items wondering what she should get for Pit. Palutena entered afterwards and spotted Viridi there and walked over and began to have what appeared to be a very serious conversation with her.
Meanwhile in the restroom, Pit was desperately trying to find a way out and he spotted a small window at the edge and approached, but there was no way he was going to squeeze through that it looked barely wide enough to squeeze Pikachu through. Then he remembered there was a small toilet room in the back well there was about three of them, but one had a large window near the top, he rushed over and noticed it was locked so he decided to try to knock and see who it was.
Knock, Knock, Knock…
"In a Minute" someone replied but he couldn't identify who it is.
Knock, Knock, Knock…
"Yeah I heard you I'll be right out" came the reply again but he still didn't know who it was.
Knock, Knock, Knock…
"I CAN'T SHIT ANY FASTER IF YOU KEEP KNOCKING!" came that oh so infamous english accent from the other side of the door, there was no mistake it was Shulk in there who was grumbling to himself now…
Lucina was watching worriedly while Palutena and Viridi kept on with the conversation, but Viridi seemed to be getting flustered and angered, her face turned red after a while and before long just gave Palutena a forced smile and speed walked away. Palutena tried to say more but Viridi stormed away ignoring her, Palutena then looked down fiddling with her fingers, she just sighed after a while of looking in thought and walked away looking embarrassed or shamed about what she said. Lucina decided to leave at that point back to her cavern after finishing breakfast she wasn't in the mood of doing anything that day anyways, too bummed, infatuated and confused.
After Shulk came out of the room a few moments later Pit instantly rushed in there and got to work. He flew up to reach the windows height and opened it up, but before he could escape he spotted Viridi right outside a few feet away. She was frustratingly banging her head against a tree at the moment though, "stupid, Stupid, STUPID!" She was muttering to herself. He quickly gets back inside after softly closing the window and sat on the toilet in defeat there was no escaping her. But what he was wondering was how in the world did she knew he would try to escape and exactly where, and why she was bagging her head on a tree. Was she calling him stupid, was she sending him a message or was she just completely insane...
Cabin eight...
Lucina stayed slumped on the couch in thought, fighting Robin yesterday actually took an effect on her. It made her come to a sudden horrid realization, in the tournament sooner or later she was going to be put against Robin. Now this would be bad because she would utterly freeze if it was ever the case due to the strong feeling she got when she saw him. Of course this would mean this will cause her the match and well thats when a list of problems would arise immediately.
She felt as if she should consult to someone to overcome this feeling, she though of Raven at first but consulting a tactician about a problem with a tactician didn't seem so good. She decides maybe she could turn to Zelda she was always the best choice according to the others to talk to. Maybe she could help her overcome it or quiet possibly have a concoction to make it go away perhaps, after all she does have the triforce of wisdom. Funny thing is she actually remembers about the day when she asked about the Triforce…
Flashback*
The Festival was upon them and everyone was setting their booths ready for the customers. Lucina spots some strange three triangles forming a larger one all of gold all over a bootn. She saw in some cases that the Links and Zelda plus Ganon too had those on their left hand. Plus it was also the symbol that represented their world so she got curious as to what it was. She approached Zelda who had just finished setting up some merchandise on the booth. "Hey Zelda I've wanted to ask what does that triangle mark mean or represent?" she asked the Hylian.
"Oh this, this is the mark of the goddesses that they created long ago and it is called the triforce and each piece gives the bearer a different ability." she responded showing Lucina by using a plastic replica of said item.
"What are the different abilities that were bestowed upon whom?" she asked again curiously.
"Well I have the Triforce of Wisdom, Ganon over there has the triforce of power and Link has the triforce of courage" she responded.
"Yes and I think I have the best one" Link and Ganon said in unison and then turned to glare at one another.
"And what do they do specifically?" she asked the three of them.
"The triforce of power gives me the strength to devastate nations!" Ganon spoke up showing his triforce mark on his hand.
"The triforce of wisdom allows me to solve complex problems!" Zelda responded also showing her mark on her hand.
"The triforce of courage keeps me from worrying about making stupid decisions!" Link responded and shoved the Master Sword in a nearby toaster that was shaped like the triforce.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZRT!
Link just stood there all burned rivaling Dark Link in color as he fell to the ground, steam slowly exited his ears and sparks danced on his head. Zelda however face palmed while also looking embarrassed about the situation and just left after that. "And I lost to this guy," Ganon said shortly afterwards before he too walked away shaking his head in disbelief.
"Lucina there you are come we have to get ready!" Robin approached and dragged her away towards a different booth that was set up elsewhere.
All the while Dark Link stepped out from a small tent behind the Zelda series booth that had supplies and stopped and sniffed the air. "Mmmm something smells good!" he spoke to himself breathing in the strange smell again that was starting to make him hungry.
End Flashback*
Later that day Master Hand called everyone for some final activities before they are to head back it, was simple and fun or at least suppose to be. A good old game of dodge ball there wasn't anyone there objecting to it and to level the playing field Master hand 'removed' all powers. Many where just in it to throw a ball at full strength into their rival's faces and besides Master Hand said it was a group exercise. They where divided into blue and green team, it had been a while since they played that game but in the end the blue team won, everyone was just saying because Master Hand put all the tough Smashers in that team but they did have a valid point. Like Ganon, Bowser, Ike, Little Mac where some examples as to why they where claimed to have won.
The next activity was another team building exercise the smashers where divided into five teams and those five teams all had one task. They had to work together to try to get their whole team to climb up on the tree but as always there was complications. Team one had trouble because they couldn't figure out how to get Bowser up on the tree without him breaking it. Team two was having troubles with trying to get Mewtwo to cooperate with the rest. Team three couldn't stop arguing with each other mostly because of Link and Dark Link and Toon with DTL. Team four had Pit and Dark Pit, Kirby and Jigglypuff and Meta Knight they can all float or fly what's the problem you ask? Trying to get the others unto the tree where the nearest branch was ten feet off the ground. And lastly team five had it the worst all because Lucas was too afraid to climb and others where either trying to comfort him or just plain scaring him away. And surprisingly team two won after Mewtwo simply teleported to the top of the tree while others lost due to issues. Team one lost because Bowser tumbled down the tree, team three lost because the Links kept dropping each other off the tree no surprise there though. Team four lost because no one was able to carry King Dedede to the top and he didn't want to float, team five lost because Ganondorf scared Lucas away and well the objective is to get everyone in the tree.
After that Master Hand arranged a special dinner for everyone after their efforts for the day which was a pizza buffet, there were pizzas there that people never could have imagined to exist like the five cheese pizza with five different cheeses, a burrito pizza, a seafood one, ETC. Even a weird dessert of a pizza made of chocolate and sprinkled with candies for toppings, which was Kirby's. And well you get the picture there was weird stuff and after that everyone retreated to their cabins. Where they stayed up a little longer or some other went to sleep it sure was a amazing weekend with so much things happening, this is the type of things people love about smash and if random photos of Smashers eating pizza wont be good memories well that's all they got.
The next morning went by quickly they ate breakfast and got packed ready to head back to the Mansion some eager and some not so much. Master Hand announce that the double tournament will start when they get back announcing that smashers are finally able to cope. He had been holding back the double tourney because of fear that it will end disastrous, so he decided to try to get the Smashers to finally learn to cop with one another so they don't embarrass themselves in public. Well most of them won't notice but it will make Master Hand look bad and well that's something he's sensitive about.
Before they left however there was in interesting conversation that popped up, it was what happened when Master Hand knew of Lucas's arrival…
*FLASHBACK
Master Hand could only stare at the mess of what was once the camp grounds while the Smashers before him couldn't find any excuse. Mostly because strangely enough all the enemies from before disappeared in a puff of black smoke leaving to evidence behind. That is until the little blond boy approached the fuming gloved being who explained what happened, Lucas was always seen as honest whenever the kids did anything wrong the others would instantly turn to him for the truth. Funny thing is that Master Hand forgot he had invited him because of so many things he was taking care of at the moment, but when he found out that he single-handily took out all those opponents Master Hand started praising the boy too. He did after all make the gathered few smashers start to cope with each other by the arrival of an old friend. Not only that but Master Hand also Invited Lucas back because of Ness his performance thus far was lacking a lot, and also he was thinking about actually leaving the tournament which Master Hand flipped out over because of many issues. First he was part of the original twelve and fames which comes to the next problem if he where to leave Master Hand would have to deal with a mob of angry fans, he managed to dodge a bullet with Young Link and Roy because of Toon and Ike, but if Ness left there was no one who could easily step in to fill his shoes without complication so he had to do it. But it was Lucas who decided not to return because he needed to improve himself and boy did he seriously improve. Master Hand was actually glad he accepted the invite because there was also the angry Lucas mob who criticized him still. He actually told Lucas if he should accept to return that he will start his days with a camping trip to sweeten the deal, he did practically beg for his return because he really needed him there so Lucas felt bad for him, or he would of felt to guilty to turn him down because of all the offerings he was getting.
*END FLASHBACK
The bus ride back was similar to the ride there, except this time Luigi didn't get lost in a creepy forest nor was there hitch hikers on the road. And this time however Lucina got in a separate bus from Robin and Marth so she got stuck with all the others, which was not as fun as it sounds mostly because of all the shenanigans they where doing to keep busy. Once they arrived Master Hand told everyone to put their stuff away and assemble in the lobby it was still early in the day, so much could still be done Master Hand in the meantime went to his office to check up on some stuff and prepare for the day. What he didn't know however was that Crazy was in the back room snickering to himself uncontrollably, as he found Master Hands stash of sweets from cakes, pies, candy and soda he left laying around and started inhaling them. However someone with a glove head eats by the way in their case the item disappears before it reached their palm/face; Master Hand walked in eventually wondering what all the commotion was about and found the room turned upside down literally. He spotted all the wrappers littered around the floor and immediately panicked he had to find his brother and fast, last time he went on a sugar rush well lets just say it was later referred to as the 'Day of Destruction' by many. He figured if his brother ever consumed any quantity of sugar that he be locked up because he couldn't handle it, he would turn insane yes more then he already was and go beyond reason and sanity and way beyond controllable there was no stopping him. he was about to leave the room when the magical cage that was suppose to be for Crazy fell on him trapping him inside, he saw Crazy crawling around on the ceiling before landing in front of the cage cackling uncontrollably.
"CRAZY! Release me at once you know better then to eat sugar!" he said to his brother who didn't seem to be listening.
"WhY WhOuLd I dO such a tHiNg BROOOOOTHER!" he responded back and resumed cackling like a maniac, then he pulled out what appeared to be a hybrid of a chainsaw and a flame thrower. "I'm jUsT GEtTinG sTaRtEd I waNt tO hAvE soMe fUn wItH tHe tOys!" he said and ripped out of his human force into his normal giant floating glove form. He rushed into Master Hands personal control room and started messing with everything there was in there soon the computerized voice started saying 'Error' over and over.
"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO CRAZY COME BACK HERE AT ONCE!" he demanded again banging his hands against the cage though it was no use, it was after all made to hold a gloved being from escaping he could only hope towards the smashers now for salvation.
He was so focused on his rampaging brother that he didn't notice a figure sneak into his personal control room and seal it off completely concealing it, after all none knew of its location, well until now…
