Chapter 14: Crazy Horror at the Mansion
Why Hello there, welcome back to more craziness. Sooo, how are you all doing this fine October 31st hm? Well here we go the return of the Halloween special!
With more spooks and laughs then before, MWAHAHAHA! Ok ill stop being cringey now. So as some of you may know this was the name of the story I lost a while back (From my Bio), it was going to be a short story so I decided to fuse it with this one. Why because the characters and settings are the same so then I thought why not. So hope you all enjoy and have a good night of fun!
Line*
The Smashers gathered back in the lobby like Master hand had instructed, some of them chatting about the exciting weekend. Lucina just stood there in the swordsman group in awkward silence while they chatted about their usual things. All the while she was staring at Robin trying to figure him out and the feeling she got. She would have talked to Zelda but she was off with the Six discussing all sorts of matters. Seems like today was going to be a busy day, there seemed to be so much planned!
That is until then the unthinkable happened!
The shutters for the windows and doors suddenly closed trapping everyone inside the mansion with no way out. Everyone went quiet at once in an instant wondering what was going on, the Brawl veterans looked uneasy as last time this happened the Subspace war ensued. Just when things couldn't get any worse the lights shut off completely, some of the kids and several others yelped in surprise. They were left in total darkness and a lot of nervous chatting picked up as everyone wondered what the hell?
Samus powered on her power suit later and managed to light up the room with it, courtesy of the two bright lights at the side of the helmet. "Alright Everyone, shut up and pay attention! We're going to do a head count its mandatory" She yells to get everyones attention
"Alright lets-a see here" Mario says going through a clip board and listing off the names with people present.
"Everyone is accounted for" Peach says tapping a finger on her chin and turning back towards the others.
"Shes-a right" Mario says handing the clipboard to Samus who just looked down on it and removed her helmet. "Well then if this isn't someones prank then what's really happening here" She whispers as the Six huddle up to discuss what they are to do.
They devised a plan that Mario & Peach head to Master Hands office, while Link and Marth check the control room upstairs, Meanwhile She and Zelda were going to go downstairs to the basement to check the fuse box and get the lights back on. The Six or rather Samus ordered everyone to head to their rooms and stay in there with doors locked, and anyone seen about was going to get some serious consequences she personally will deliver. The ones who knew what the bounty hunters 'consequences' were instantly bolted out of there, the others quickly following not wanting to know what the others where so afraid of. Some maniacal cackling echoed through the mansion shortly after it was shrill and deep unlike anything they've heard before.
Peach and Mario,
Mario started heading down the hall with Peach holding his hand and walking cautiously down the hall, she didn't like the sound of that laugh earlier and it sent chills down her spine. It definitely didn't sound like something the smashers have heard before raising the Six's suspicion about the culprit. Mario was illuminating the hall by holding a fireball in his hands as they continued forward. They had to venture through the cafeteria to get to Master Hand, it was after all the fastest route there. Mario cautiously opened the large doors to the cafeteria making them squeak slowly as they opened; they both entered and started to head towards the back door when they heard some shuffling behind them. They looked but nothing was there so they stop to look around, suddenly Mario's fire went out and he disappeared. Peach starts panickly feeling around for the red clad plumber beginning to worry. "Mario? Mario?! where are you!?" She asks still trying to look around, she lit a small candle she had in the kitchen for some light and resumed her search. She saw the place was deserted no Mario to be seen around anywhere. "Mario stop playing around we have a job to do!" she demands albeit in a shaky voice. She suddenly feels someone or something breathing down her neck heavily sending chills down her spine. She slowly turns around while she trembled but saw no one there. Which made her start freaking out, "M-M-Mario t-t-that's not f-f-f-f-funny!" she exclaims as her heart started pounding in her chest. She turns again and then saw it, a big wiggly mass with a disturbing shape. She drops her candle as it takes ahold of her dragging her into the dark.
Samus and Zelda,
both female smashers were currently heading down the hall that lead to the basement, Samus lighting the way with her suit and Zelda using her magic to hold some Din's fire in her palm. When suddenly a loud high pitched scream of terror echoed throughout the mansion and they both halted. "That was Peach!" Zelda said panicly, she turns to rush down the hall until Samus planed hed hand on her shoulder haulting her.
"No, we should stick to our mission. Remember last time this happened she got spooked by Pichu hiding under a table cloth." Samus reminded the Hylian Princess who still looked uneasy about the situation.
"I suppose you are right" She agrees with a sly shrug against her better judgment, they both resume their journey to the basement where the fuse box is at.
They both soon spot the worn out door and slowly opened it as it created a soft creaking sound. They started descending down the steps towards the deep dark basement. When they reach the bottom and before they could head towards the fuse box they heard a noise behind the black door. "These people don't seem to understand when I say everyone it also includes them!" Samus grumbled to herself and marched towards the back room.
"I thought I told you guys to stay in your… rooms?" Samus started out angrily and then turned confused when no one was actually in there. "Rats" she murmured to herself and shook her head the room was a mess after all.
"S-Samus you better come see this" Zelda said from the other side of the room and she headed over towards the Hylians location.
"There was no one in there probably just rats" Samus said sternly and shrugged while Zelda showed her what she needed to see.
"Yeah giant rats" Zelda said as she illuminated the fuse box that was hacked up with the wires sprawled out all over the place, like if a child where to have tried to play electrician.
"My scans are coming up negative on it being anyone we know" Samus said afterwards which started to worry the Hylian princess.
"You can repair it though right?" Zelda asked her, to which she nodded and changed her blaster into a soldering tool.
"Yeah I've dealt with worse before" she said as she got to work trying to get everything back in order again. "huh, looks like some sort of external force has over written all controls here" She says to herself as she takes some of the wires from in her hand inspecting them. "Maybe if I alter the power source to feed of, this here, the overide function will disable!" She states to herself as she ripped some wires out and replaced everything connecting certain spots to different locations however.
Meanwhile Zelda was looking around the basement for any clues as to what had brutally assaulted the fuse box. Samus was about to finish when something rushed behind her and she quickly turned activating her nova beam. She was looking around while also changing visors for any signs of the assailant but everything came up negative, maybe her imagination she thought. She got back to work and managed to finish shortly afterwards and then turned to tell the news to Zelda. "Hey I'm finished, now we need the guys in the control room to reboot the system." She told the Hylian who nodded as Samus took out her Smash cell and dialed Marth. "Damn!" She says banging her fist against the wall as Zelda turned to her.
"Whats wrong?" She says heading over to look at the phone screen.
"All signals within the mansion have been cut, we can't reach them from here, and whats worse all phones deactivated." She says as the screen turned off and Zelda pulls hers out to see indeed they were all remotely deactivated. "We're going to have to go up there and tell them ourselves" She says and they start heading towards the stairs to meet up with the guys in the control room. halfway up however something grabbed Zelda's leg and she panicked immediately.
"Samus something's got my leg!" she quickly shouted and Samus instantly turns around and took a hold of Zelda with her grapple beam. The grapple beam illuminates the staircase that reveals a white pulsating mass that had some sort of long arm around Zelda's leg. It started to consume her slowly as Samus was struggling to pull Zelda back up. "Samus!" Zelda worriedly screams as it had slowly consumed her down to her knees by now. She takes ahold of one of Zeldas arms while she contiuned to try and pull her up with the grapple beam. Zelda slowly started to slip from her grasp and she could only stare down at her wide eyes full of fear.
"Don't worry I got you, I'm not letting go!" Samus grunted as she struggled, but Zelda kept on slipping. She then is completely ripped from her grasp and dragged down the stairs in a blink of an eye. Samus couldn't even comprehend what just happened there as she stared at Zelda's glove that slipped off. She couldn't even breathe before she heard the thing charging up the stairs again and she quickly exited the basement barricading the door as well. She take's off as the thing rammed against the door, she begins heading up the stairs when her suit powers off and crumbles at her feet. "What the hell!?" She exclaims angrily as she was now more defensless without it.
Meanwhile, earlier in an unknown location, "hmm, these guys using their weapons might be a bit of a problem" A deep voice spoke that slightly echoed as he peered at a giant hologram that ejected from a sphere on a stand. "I can help with that, don't worry my destructive deity friend you'll have your fun." He swipes right activating a certain trigger, the figure concealed in darkness cackles to himself maniacally. That is of course until he was pulled to the ground by the sword on his back. "Oh come on!" He exclaims to himself struggling to get back up.
Marth and Link,
The swordsman and Hylian started heading towards their destination after their huddle up as well, with Link leading the way with his handy dandy lantern. and soon they too heard the high pitched scram of the princess. Marth quickly turns to assess the situation and until Link grabbed his arm bringing him to a hault. "I wouldn't go man, remember last time she was just scared by Roy hiding in the utility closed who managed to drop ink all over himself." Link said with a chuckle and Marth remembered that day as well.
"Hmm, I suppose you are right besides she has Mario there, so it was most likely him this time." Marth said with a slight chuckle of his own and then the two resumed their journey. It was so much easier using the elevator because the Mansion was huge and long meaning so where the stairs, however seeing as the power was gone they had no other alternative. They continue to ascend the stairs even after hearing a loud commotion nearby, but hey some of these smashers are never still so no worries. When they finally reached the top much to their relief they headed towards said control room that the Elite Six plus Master Hand only had access to. Link swips his card and they enter the dark room, but then another problem presented itself. The room was a wreck! Everything was either destroyed or ripped apart, they where definitely going to need Samus for this. "Hey check it out the security cameras is still activated." Marth said pointing at said monitor screens showing all, well almost all, the rooms and halls in the mansion.
"But I thought the power was out?" Link said scratching his head I confusement.
"Yeah but remember this room runs on back up generators in case of emergencies or black outs!" Marth said as Link muttered a 'oh' and they approached the monitor screens. they started looking through the cameras feeds that where all installed with night vision. They were switching from room to room, hall to hall. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary except the fact that Master Hand's office was a wreck and there were no signs of Mario, Peach or the Hands.
"Dude I think that something happened for real this time." Link said pointing at the screen of Master Hand's office that was utterly destroyed.
"Should we check it out or should we try to regroup with Samus and Zelda first?" Link asked turning towards the Blue Prince.
"Maybe we should wait to see who the culprit is I'm sure we'll be able to spot it eventually, and speaking of which pull up the screen of the basement on the big screen." Marth said and Link pulled out the screen showing the camera in the basement. There was no one in there actually but the fuse box seemed to be fixed so they figured the girls had left by now with the job done. They continued looking for any signs of something unnatural or out of place in the mansion or at least any lurking figure but they got nothing.
"Hey check this out Marth" Link said motioning towards the screen with the cafeteria on it there was a large shadow just standing on the corner, it was wiggling around in the corner and seemed to be changing shapes as it continued to wiggle uncontrollably.
"What in the name of Naga?! put up a different angle." Marth says nudging Link who got to work on that. However as soon as they turned on a different camera the thing disappeared.
"I don't like this one bit man!" Link says uneasy as they both searched frantically around the screens for any signs of the wiggling shadow, but there didn't seem to be anything. Just then however on one of the cameras something zoomed by at top speeds before the camera went a little static.
"I think we might have a hedgehog on the loose." Marth said as they saw the thing zoom by but then disappeared completely form any and all cameras.
"Nope Sonic is in his room." Link responds as he showed Marth on the machine that counted the number of smashers in rooms, Sonic's room had two glowing dots as did the rest of them.
"What the hell are we dealing with here and where is Master hand?!" Marth exclaims as he continues searching the screens and then do a thorough scan of the vents for any possibility of an intruder lurking in there. "Agh what the hell!?" They both say suddenly as their swords dropped to the floor and stick to it.
Just then however something triggered the silent alarm, meaning what ever it was, it was heading straight for them. They both stood from their seats and reached for their weapons, and then they both sweat dropped looking at the weapons at their feet. The door started to open and they got on both sides of it getting ready to surprise attack the intruder. As the door opened up they both gave each other a nervous nod and then they jumped out. But the person who entered easily evaded the attack and dropped both of them on their backs in an instant. Upon closer inspection they noticed that it was just Samus who knocked them on their ass. Although she was in her zero suit this time and they both slowly stood up rubbing their heads.
"Samus what's going on?" Link says with a pant and then looks behind her to see that Zelda wasn't there. "Uh where's Zelda?" Link asked and approached the bounty hunter who handed him a single white glove and shook her head.
And now back Lucina,
After the Six gave them orders everyone cleared out and headed towards their rooms, Lucina did so after saying her farewells to Robin and Raven. The room like the rest of the Mansion was pitch black because the place was still on lock down nothing in nothing out. She did however manage to light a candle to illuminate the room, as she had brought some along with her because of this whole new thing with technology, she figured she ought to bring something she's familiar with, good thing she did though.
Dark Pit was slumped down on his bed looking mad and bored out of his mind as he tossed a cotton ball up and down. She however had a book out to read as she figured this whole thing ought to blow over eventually and everything will get sorted out. Not more then 30 minutes into their isolation a loud thud sounded off in the vents and Lucina rose to her feet in alarm, Dark Pit however didn't seem to mind as he stayed slumped on the bed and looks up at her.
"What's wrong with you blueberry?" he says rather nonchalant but she just ignored him, she jumps a foot when noise continued and moves away from the vents and this time he stood up.
"Well aren't you going to check it out?!" She tells him nudging him towards and he turns to her with a sly grin.
"What's with you, your not scared are you?" he taunts her and snickers while he approached the vent and took off the lid. He glanced inside but there wasn't anything there, he shrugs and reached in with his hand. "Oh crap it's got my arm!" he suddenly shouts in a panic clutching his arm with his free hand as something appeared to be trying to pull it off. Lucina quickly backs away placing both hands over her face and screaming in fear completely terrified. Dark Pit calmly pulled out his hand afterwards and started laughing hysterically at her reaction.
"UGH! you're such an ass!" She exclaims annoyed and throws a small pillow at him, all the while he continues laughing at his little prank while hunched over with his hands on his knees.
"Oh, oh man, you should have seen the look on your face!" He says afterwards wiping some tears away and placing the cover back on the vent. She just ignored him and sat on her bed again picking up the book she previously had and continued reading.
Back in the Control Room,
"That, and we have another big problem on our hands" Samus says to the swordsman as they all sat down on the chairs in front of the security cameras, and were currently conversing on the situation.
"Yeah one of them is that Master Hand is no where to be found!" Marth stats as,a matter of fact.
"Yes, and apparently the safe switch has been activated as well, which means all magic and weapons are now rendered useless!" Samus adds soon afterwards in which Link and Marth immediately turned to look at each other.
"Wait only Master Hand has the power to do that?" Marth pipes in afterwards.
"Indeed so perhaps this might be another test of his tests." Samus responded looking deep in thought.
"But why place the whole mansion on lockdown and cut the lights!?" Link said scratching his head.
"Yes, this doesn't feel like the work of Master Hand, someone or something else is pulling the strings here." Marth concluded afterwards stroking his chinin thought.
"Well whatever the heck we're dealing with already got Mario, Peach and Zelda" Samus informs the other two.
"I say we take care of this guy now!" Link stood up and pulled out some bombs but the fuse wouldn't lite. The only things that do work will be non-metal, magic or technological weapons, which left pretty much everyone defenseless.
"Remember Link all our weapons are now useless" Marth reminded him as the Hylian looked hopelessly at his weapons.
"At least I still have my bow!" Link states but his arrows also fell to the ground and stuck to it. "Aw come on!" He exclaims as he just sadly stares at his boomerang being the only thing he had left and they both sweat drop. "Well we still need some way of confronting the thing" Link says throwing his arms up in defeat.
"I say we brief the rest of the cast so that we don't have to deal with any more missing people, ambush and catch this thing faster." Samus declares smacking her palm with a fist eager to just get this over with. The other two looked at each other and nodded.
In the auditorium back room where they assembled secretly and safely...
"Alright Smashers listen up, we're going to assemble in groups of three and head out, they have to be small though so as to not attract attention, you all will also be equipped with specialized flashlights. As all electronic devices are currently disabled, as well as weapons as some of you have noticed, this also being that magic is effected as well. So each and every one of you will have to depend on your wits to are to defend the quadrant you are assign to and keep a vigilant lookout. Anything out of the ordinary you engage and apprehend it. Now form a line so we can orginize the pairs!" Samus informs everyone and hey do as told even though alot of them were lost on the current situation.
So afterwards every group headed off to their assigned posts, the villains especially being the more eager ones, glad they get the chance to at least put the hurt on someone. The remaining three Elite Six members were going to go work on getting the lights back on as well as search for Master Hand.
Lower west quadrant...
Lucina got Rabin and Raven as partners luckily and they had to explore the west wing on the first floor for anything or anyone suspicious. And more specifically they where told to keep a cautious eye on the shadows for some reason. The entire roster was split up all over the place and scattered around, which given a scary situation is not the best thing to do. And anyone who watches horror films should know that, and apparently these guys don't!
After cautiously searching the west wing they come up with zero results as to any lurking culprits or shadows anywhere within the vicinity. They however stayed at their assigned post like they were told to do just in case they never know what could happen. They stay in a small lounge between two halls with large comfy chairs. They all place their flashlights down on the table facing upwards so as to illuminate the room. Lucina sits in the middle with the tacticians at either side of her, and they stay there like that in awkward silence waiting for anything to happen.
Back with the trinity three, XD
"Hey you guys if there is something lurking around here I think I am the most vulnerable for attack!" Link states in a panicked voice to the other two. They where heading towards Master Hands office first to find the gloved being or signs of him.
"And what made you come to that conclusion Link?" Marth asked the Hylian who was hiding behind the two of them.
"Because haven't you noticed that in scary movies the first one to go is the comic relief guy" He states in a hushed voice while looking around.
"Yeah Link because out of everyone here the monster just has to have you" Samus said sarcastically.
"It's true then it's that idiot who goes off alone for a smoke" Link added afterwards.
"Well it's a good thing Snakes not here" Marth said in a mocking tone while he and Samus laughed at Links paranoia.
"Then of course it's that one girl that everyone is fond of" he says afterwards as a grin appeared on his face, "I think Marth is in danger of that one" he whispered to Samus while snickering.
"I heard that!" Marth says rolling his eyes in annoyance at the Hylians stupidity.
"And then it's the smart guy who knows what to do leaving everyone clueless" he added as they continued forward. "Then it's, you know that couple who separates from the group too-" he didn't finish as Marth and Samus turned to give him a 'seriously' Look.
"Link, you watch waaaay too many movies!" Samus stated and then turns to resume on to their destination. What they didn't notice however was that something was slowly crawling after them twitching uncontrollably and whispering to itself.
Lucina and the tacticians...
They all just started hushed small talk to try to pass the time, and also to rid of any nervousness. Then suddenly they hear a loud commotion nearby, they all turned to look at each other and dash in that direction to aid in case they found the assailant.
When they arrived however it turns out that a group of kid smashers had managed to alert another group, begin a small brawl. Or actually it was just the kids over there smacking people on their heads. When Lucinas' group shone the lights in the room Ike Shulk and Pit where being assaulted by Ness, Toon and Lucas. Well Ness and Toon as Lucas was just hiding in the corner covering his face. As the room was revealed Ness and Toon stopped as soon as they realized when they were assaulting fellow smashers.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Ike said as he got Toon off of him, who also appeared to have smashed a vase on his head.
"Us?!" Toon exclaims throwing his arms up in the air, "what are you doing lurking in the dark like that you almost gave us-" he began but stopped briefly to think about what he was saying. "I-I mean, I mean you scared Lucas!" Toon told the mercenary and crossed his arms with a huff.
"We want to get the jump on this guy and flashing flashlights around gives us away easily" Ike responds rubbing his acing head.
"Hey that's actually a pretty good idea" Toon says as he turned towards his group who nodded their heads in agreement.
"One more thing, why did all of you leave your assigned posts?" Raven speaks up this time with her arms crossed, the kids however just hid behind Ike's group.
"Well obviously we wont find anything just standing around" Ike stated simply as he crossed his own arms.
"Sometimes it is wiser to let your enemy make the first move, gives you time to work out your counterstrike and learn their plan of attack" Robin spoke up this time.
"Hey Robin you're the brains around here you should come with us, we could use a one of a kind big brain tactician like you" Ike spoke up again while the other two nodded in agreement and he approached placing his arm around Robin. "Besides it's not like there's anyone around whose like you!" He states patting the tactician on the back while Raven whips around scoffing offendedly.
"HEELLLLLOOO!" Raven exclaims coming between the two and standing in front of Ike with a huff.
"HI there, so what do you say Robin?" Ike says afterwards and turned to face Robin. Raven however face palmed at the mercenary's cluelessness while groaning to herself.
"I-I think everyone should stay in their assigned groups" Lucina spoke up from the back this time.
"Yeah I don't think that's going to benefit anyone" Shulk states afterwards.
"That sounds tempting bu-" Robin begins but didn't get to finish as Ike started dragging him away.
"Great! I knew you'd never let us down now this will surly be breeze!" Ike says as they where heading out, Robin tried to speak again but kept getting interrupted by Pit or Shulk.
"Ugh, can you believe those guys?!" Raven exclaims crossing her arms and shaking her head head all the while growling under her breath.
Lucina just hopelessly stared as Robin disappeared from view and she let out a sad sigh. Just when she thought she would have some time to spend with Robin he gets pulled away from her. "Hey where Toon go?" Ness says shortly after as he and Lucas start searching around for the little Hylian, And Raven just signed.
"Well we might as well go look for him" she said and motioned the rest to follow in search of the infamous cartoon hero.
The Trinity Three…
They arrive to see the door was hanging from its hinges, as it appeared that something had just previously bursted out of the place. They enter cautiously and on high alert, the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime no doubt it will do so. They all started to calm after nothing showed up until they started to hear an echoing whisper that kept going on giving the guys chills.
"Toys…"
"Tooys..."
"Toooys…"
"Tooooys…"
"Toooooys…"
"Tooooooys…"
"Toooooooys..."
It kept going as Link and Marth armed themselves with large wood chucks that was once Master Hands Desk. Some long tentacle looking thing grabbed a hold of Links leg and dragged him into the back room, Marth and Samus tried chasing after the Hylian but whatever the hell got him was faster. Hey rushed after he poor hylian who was screaming all high pitched while the others tried to reach him.
"SEE I told you" he says flapping down the room, "the funny guys always goes FIIIIIIIIIIIRST!" he exclaimed before he was dragged away from view and completely vanished. The other two searched the back room but there was nothing in there no signs of anything or anyone. That was the point where Marth started to freak out and Samus started to worry about the situation they were in. They then heard the noise of what appeared to be chains rattling and they cautiously approached the door the sound was coming from, Samus Placed her hand on the door handle and they both nodded as she turned and slowly opened the door. They open it to reveal a supply closet that looked like it once contained snacks of all sorts, except it was completely looted as it was littered with all sorts of empty containers and wrappers.
Random Toon Link...
"Man those guys don't know nothing about trapping anyone, leave it for the King of Pranks to handle the job of trapping someone." He spoke to himself and took out a carton of gum and took out a stick. He popped one in his mouth savoring the flavor and tossed the rolled up paper aside, he then blew a bubble and popped it. "I don't need help I am a one man army!" he says proudly to himself while flexing. He was going to continue onwards until a figure just so happened to be behind him breathing obnoxiously loud on the little Hylian, he turns around to tell the person to shut it but when he saw who or in this case WHAT it was scared him out of his mind. He ended up swallowing his gum in fright that also didn't allow him to call for help as he gagged on it, the thing however wrapped itself around him and dragged him off into the shadows making him drop his gum pack and flashlight…
Lucina and the others,
The group with Raven leading the way wondered the nearby halls for any signs of the little Hylian, with the two earthbound Smashers cautiously following along. They spotted a light up ahead and they slowly approached, they turn the corner to see a flashlight and a pack of gum of the floor. Ness rushed over grabbing the two items and getting on his knees frantically. "It got Toon and is probably eating him right now as we speak!" Ness exclaims in a panicked voice. Lucas started to whimper and Raven tried to calm the boy while glaring at the obnoxious Ness.
"Ness, your scaring him that's way too exaggerated!" She states all the while trying to comfort Lucas. "He's just lying Lucas don't worry I wont let anything get you." She assures the boy who managed to put up a weak smile while she ruffles his hair and then proceeds onwards. However as they continued on they hadn't realized something was stocking them from the shadows. They however kept on wondering the halls to see if they could locate the Hylian or any sign of him. They figure they're getting closer because later on they spotted his hat laying carelessly on the ground of another hall.
A loud shrill scream from up ahead in a different hall the group turned to each other before sprinting towards the room. When they arrived they saw Palutena and Viridi who had her hands covering her face in horror. "What happened?!" Raven asked the horrified goddesses as they approached the room and Palutena uncovers her face while slowly pointing down the hall.
"We where just here guarding the post we were assigned and Rosalina said she was going to check on her Luma who was sleeping in the lounge over there, but then we saw something big and deformed take her and drag her into the shadows where she just disappeared!" She says as Raven sighs deeply knowing the same thing happened to the hero of winds.
"Yeah the same thing happened to Toon Link" Raven informs them shorty after.
"Its picking off people one by one" Lucina states worriedly.
"I think it's for the best that we stay in a large group, apparently small groups are easier to get picked off." Raven declares and everyone else nodded in agreement. Just then a very loud commotion comes from a ways away and they all headed in that direction to check it out, and possibility assist. When they arrived however they see the swordsman group all buddle up on each other agaisnt the wall as if they crashed into the wall head first.
"What happened here?" Palutena asked the group who just stayed slumped on the floor moaning in pain and clutching their heads in a daze.
"Oh my poor Pitrious!" Viridi blurted out and rushed to the angels side and started to rub his head gently looking worried.
"Apparently it appears that whatever we are dealing with can go through walls, as it took Robin and disappeared behind this wall!" Shulk explains and pointed a thumb at the wall behind them while also rubbing his face from crashing face first into the wall. Lucina just gasped and wanted to shout at the careless swordsman for dragging Robin away and let him get taken. Though she didn't say anything her hands were formed tightly into fists digging her nails into her palms but she managed to keep her cool.
"Great now we lost the only tactician what do we do now!" Ike exclaims with a pout and Raven growled in frustration but ignored his comment none the less, albeit picturing herself hurting said mercenary.
"We should stay in a large group apparently the small group thing isn't working, we'll all be goners if we don't." Palutena informs them and everyone else started to agree. Before they could do anything else however they ran into Marth and Samus who where running down the hall.
"What are you all doing here?!" Samus asks in a tone that sounded a little too demanding.
"Well apparently staying in small groups isn't working, we all started getting picked off one by one!" Ness spoke up as everyone else nodded along while the bounty hunter just sighs.
"Yeah us too it got Link, and apparently this thing can travel through solid walls!" Marth informs the group shortly afterwards while the swordsman smile sheepishly and rub the back of their heads in embarrassment.
"Yeah kind of figured that out the hard way" Ike said rubbing his head slowly.
"Well let's get a move on then the faster we bring this thing down the faster this whole charade ends!" Samus states walking ahead not even waiting for everyone else to follow.
"Where are we headed to exactly?" Ike asked curiously.
"To the main control room I'm going to get the power back on to make things easier." Samus responded as they entered the library which would take them to their destination, seeing as the massive room was connected to three floors its easier to reach the upper levels. Upon entering though they started to hear a slight whisper of someone saying "help me!" which scared mostly everyone in the group. They started to walk slowly in the direction of the whispers which sounded feminine; they ended up in the middle of the large library but they couldn't find the source of the voice. That is until they looked up and saw Rosalina on the chandelier as she was hanging on for dear life on the thing. Surly if she fell from that height it would not be unscathed so many things can actually go wrong in that situation right there.
"Hey what are you doing up there?!" Shulk exclaims in confusement seeing as how could someone get that far.
"What do you think!?" She shouts back frustratingly.
"Just asking jeez!" he grumbles to himself as he crossed his arms.
"Hey can't you float or something" Ness states afterwards remembering about that fact.
"Actually about that when we go into lockdown all weapons and magic are rendered useless." Marth informed the group and they all just pouted at their misfortunate situation.
"That explains ALOT!" Several of them say at once.
"Hey Pit can't you fly up there?" Lucina asks the angel while motioning towards his wings, while we sweatdrops.
"I-I A-Actually I can't fly without the use of Magic" he explains and shrugged about his weird flight capabilities.
"Well I'm not liking being a plain helpless mortal" Palutena adds shortly after that. But what they all failed to noticed was that the chandelier was actually starting to fall, they all noticed when they started to get hit my small pieces of rubble.
"Its going to fall quick we need to do something!" Raven exclaims in a panic while everyone just ran back and forth panicking.
"Is there a ladder around here or something?" Ness said looking around the room, and everyone else starting running around looking for anything of use.
"Oh man if only Robin where here, we need a quick thinking tactician to plan these things out!" Ike said still running around searching for anything that might be of use as Raven's left eye started to twitch in annoyance while she contemplated murder.
"You're just going to have to jump!" Raven says afterwards as it was the only thing they could do. "The rest of us, we need to huddle around and catch her to break her fall" She says as everyone looks back and forth at each other and then nod.
"Are you crazy I can't do that without being able to float!" Rosalina responds back as the chandelier kept on becoming more loose off the roof.
"We'll catch you it's your only option and we have no other option before that thing crushes you!" Raven states afterwards as everyone else agreed.
"O-ok I'll try" Rosalina responded back in a shaky voice and took a deep breath, and everyone huddled under the chandelier ready to catch the cosmic princess. "I-I can't do it!" she exclaims after making the mistake of looking down it was after all a LONG drop. The chandelier shook after becoming more loose and managed to make her slip and fall and everyone panicked extending their hands to catch her. They all ended up bumping into each other but she managed to land on them safely, they all fell to the floor however from the impact and then the chandelier finally got loose and began to fall and Pit noticed.
"INCOMING!" he yelled in alarm and everyone rolled out of the way as the thing crashed to the floor creating a large cloud of dust, they all started coughing and when the dust cleared everyone sighed in relieved that they weren't squashed by that heavy antique.
"Hey did you happen to get a good look at whatever it was that grabbed you," Samus asks as she approached the princess dusting herself off but she shook her head.
"So how did you end up from being dragged to hanging on a chandelier?" Palutena asked her afterwards.
"Well apparently the thing kept on whispering the word "toys" and started tossing me up and down repeatedly, but I managed to grab a hold of the chandelier luckily when it threw me high enough. The thing tried to pry me loose but when I didn't let go it lost interest and left. It did however manage to pry the chandelier loose however. But being so dark I didn't get a look at it as it slithered away." She responded shivering at the last part.
"Wait you heard the 'toys' creepy whisper too?" Marth asked afterwards.
"So we aren't the only ones either" Ike said this time and everyone looked around at each other.
"It obvious then that the thing kidnapping the Smashers is all the same fiend, so I suggest we get a move on to get the lights back on, this thing likes to stick to the shadows so we need to take away its advantage!" Samus says and started to up the library stairs and everyone else followed along but they didn't notice two figures slip away from the group however…
"Viridi why are we separating from the group it's dangerous to go out alone," Pit said in a shaky voice as they sat in a bench in the back of the library.
"Well isn't it obvious that group is bad luck they all are loosing partners one by one but we can stick together and be safer, besides now I get you all to myself!" she said and snuggled up next to Pit who was worriedly looking around.
"I still think it's too dangerous we should head back" Pit said trying to leave but Viridi sat him back down.
"Relax trust me we're better off besides we never get to spend any time together!" she said to him again and rested her head on his chest as he worriedly kept on looking at the surroundings.
"H-h-h-hey I heard Palutena had some sort of talk with you what happened?" he asked nervously trying to change the conversation.
"Ugh I rather not remember that" she responded back while glaring up at Pit who looked confused.
Flashback*
Palutena approached Viridi who was in the front of the Cafeteria cabin looking at the many food items, "hey Viridi can I talk to you for a minute?" She asked. The other goddess turned to her with that cheery smile she seemed to always have,
"Sure what's up?" she said as she gave the other goddess her full attention and then Palutena let out a deep breath seemingly not knowing where to begin. Viridi however tilted her head in confusion "is there something wrong?" she asked.
"Well actually it's about you and Pit that I need to talk to you about" she responded shortly after and Viridi started looking uneasy.
"What about Pit and I" Viridi asked and Palutena remained silent for a few minutes making Viridi feel even more uneasy about the situation. Palutena told her about the 'affair' they seemingly had according to Pit, and went further on about how since Viridi a goddess she can freely choose what to do. And went furthermore saying that maybe Pit was just curious but none the less that he was way too young for that type of relationship. So she politely asked of she of course could stop doing vulgar activities with him. It was at this point that Viridi's face went red with embarrassment from the situation.
"He said what?!" she asked again in confusion and also her face red as a tomato from the embarrassment.
"Apparently, that is the rumor that he himself been spreading around and confessed to me some time ago." Palutena says also avoiding the other goddess's gaze.
"Palutena I assure you that, He and I have done no such things! So I don't know why he would be spreading this lies around!" Viridi blurted out afterwards along with some other gibberish that wasn't understandable.
"Huh well this is surly awkward then, I can't believed that foul mouth idiot would worry me like that. and I'm sure it was all to impress his 'friends' their such a bad influence on him!" Palutena said afterwards.
"I can't believe that blabber mouth would tell all his friends about something like that, no wonder they all gave me funny looks when we first met!" She said and starting muttering things about setting the idiot strait while she stormed off Palutena tried to say more but she didn't listen. She stormed away muttering curses at the angel while her face was red from embarrassment and anger about the whole situation.
End Flashback*
Pit had a sheepish smile while he had his back was against a bookshelf as Viridi gave him a murderous glare and he gave her a sheepish smile, "YOU TOLD ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND NOW THEY ALL GIVE ME FUNNY LOOKS!" she shouted at him but he motion her to stay quiet but she slapped him on the face. "Don't interrupt me you idiot you gave me a bad rep and it was all to impress your buddies!" she continued to scold him.
"No you got it all wrong nothing like that happened!" he blurts out trying to explain but she grabbed him by the collar making his sentence turn into a squeal.
"Jeez I thought we had a good thing going too, but I don't now if I can trust you after this!" She states tossing him aside and crossing her arms with a pout and turning her back to him. He was going to try to tell her the truth until they heard a creepy whisper echo around the selves sending chills down his spine.
"TOOOOOOOOOOYS!" it kept whispering and the sound was creeping closer and Viridi held on to Pit tightly, something appeared at the end of the hall shortly after it was some sort of pulsating mass shadow. Viridi shoved Pit forwards shortly afterwards "Well a-aren't you g-going to defend m-me be a-a man!" she told him in a shaky voice while he stumbled in fright.
"What do you expect me to do?!" he exclaims in a panic and the thing started creeping forwards slowly while adisturbing groan came from it. At that point Pit took off running full throttle screaming at the top of his lungs and bolting through the door.
"Ugh, Can you believe that guy?!" Viridi said with an angry pout stomping a foot on the ground and crossed her arms, the thing stood right behind her breathing obnoxiously loud
"Tooooooooooys!" was the last thing she heard before being immediately engulfed so fast she didn't even make a sound.
Back with the survivor group...
They where all still on their way towards the control room when they heard a obnoxiously loud scream that sounded really childish but panicked. Palutena of course was the first to turn and head towards that direction as it was after all Pit screaming his ass off. Pit came running down the hall at top speeds but Palutena was able to catch him and stop him in his tracks. When the group catched up they asked what happened but he was just speaking gibberish not to mention extremely fast. The only thing they did manage to get out of the angel was that a shadow was after him and it got Viridi, then the most obvious question popped up which was where did he go and he just responded he got separated nervously. They heard a loud commotion from up ahead and the group rushed in that direction trying to see what it was all about.
When they made it to the Rec Room where all the commotion was they saw a few of the villains there staring at the wall in confusement. Bower, Dark Pit and DTL where staring at a wall with raised eye brows while Dark Pit was feeling around the wall. "What Happened Pittoo?" Palutena asked the Dark Angel who growled at the sound of his nickname.
"Some thing took off with Dark Link and went through this wall with him," He responded and pointed a thumb behind him.
"Yeah we all know about the wall thing you better stick with us this thing will be no match for a large group." Samus says to them but actually sounded more like it was an order.
"What happened to the rest of you guys?" Marth asked them about the where abouts of the other villains.
"We have no idea we just happened to bump into each other" DTL spoke up sternly with a shrug.
"I'm just looking for Junior" Bowser added afterwards crossing his arms as the group just continued forward towards the control room, If they ever make it that is. They proceeded into the dark halls of the Mansion towards their destination it had to be somewhere around noon by now. But of course all the shutters make the place look like it's the middle of the night. When they reached the hall that will finally lead them towards their destination they saw two red glowing orbs up ahead.
"Hey it's Dark Link!" DTL spoke up and rushed towards the end of the hall but there was something off about the situation, but no one was able to halt the little Hylian that bolted down the hall at top speeds and disappear "What the hell is this?!" They heard him exclaim and then they hear a loud commotion and the group immediately rushed forward getting in battle stances. However when they reached the end of the hall the only thing left was DTLs flashlight laying limply on the floor. They knew there was no point in trying to look for him he was already dragged through the walls to who knows where. They entered the control room cautiously and something jumped out of the shadows at them and they all tackled the thing, when everyone saw Lucario being held down by all the Smashers they slowly started to let go of the Aura Pokemon. Greninja, Charizard and Pikachu where also in there looking confused and surprised at the sudden commotion.
"Lucario what are you guys doing in here?" Samus asked the group of pokemon while Pikachu went and climbed up on her shoulders.
"We actually came here looking for the Elite Six members because this is where you said you would be, but we saw the door busted open we ventured in wondering if you where still here and that's when you guys showed up" Lucario responded.
"What did you need to find us for?" Marth asked the aura Pokemon.
"I had discovered something with my aura that I picked up earlier there is indeed a disturbing presence roaming the mansion, not only that but I have also picked up a unidentified aura from somewhere within the vicinity" he informed them.
"Wait so there are two of them?!" Ike exclaims in confusion while the others murmured amongst each other about the situation. "Wait why didn't we think about it before, Lucario you can use your aura to help us find the others!" Ike added shortly after while everyone nods.
"Hey that's actually a good idea so Lucario can you help us?" Marth asks but the pokemon sadly shook his head and began to explain.
"Shortly after the lockdown I lost all my powers as well as my fellow pokemon there." he says and everyone groaned at their unfortunate situation. Samus and Marth however started working on getting the power back on while everyone brainstormed on what to do.
"So how do we get everyone their powers back?" Shulk spoke up this time as they all turned towards the last of the Elite Six members, the 'typical two' now.
"Well actually we don't know either that is something that is controlled by Master Hand, but he was no where to be found?" Marth responds to the group and they just sighed in annoyance of course everything had to be difficult and complicated. When Samus finally finished a buzzing noise sounded throughout the mansion as well as several other mechanical sounds.
"Alright that should do it we have to wait thirty minutes for the power to kick in, though for now I am unable to do anything about the shutters, so now we just hang tight." Samus informed the group and everyone just looked for a place to sit or relax for a moment. But before anyone could actually take a breath a loud scream came from the downstairs lobby along with a loud commotion and everyone soon rushed out of the room. They all raced down the stairs and got to the lobby where they saw the female Villager screaming in horror, when they approached they saw a large shadow devour her male counterpart and disappear behind a wall. Before anything else could happen someone hit Shulk in the back of the head with one of the large wooden supports that belong to the railing on the stairs. Seems every last survivor converged to that location, He wasn't the only one though it all turned into chaos as all the remaining survivors panicked and started attacking one another with any nearby objects. Vases, tables, chairs, books, candle holders, couch cushions, and of course the stair railing supports.
This continued for a short while until the lights finally buzzed on and everyone stopped to look at their surroundings. There was people knocked out all over the floor while others hiding inside creates and behind things, and others simply standing next to the limp body of the person they just so happen to have struck during the chaotic moment.
Before anything else could happen the whispers started to echo in the lobby it was that same whisper of 'toys.' But with the lights back on, people weren't so afraid anymore in fact they all got into a combat position ready for anything to happen. A giant disembodied glove came rocketing into the room saying toys and everyone tried to bring it down as it began snatching the unconscious bodies. It however was able to stretch its fingers and form them into tentacle like weapons pushing everyone aside or grabbing a hold of them. "The only time crazy does this is when he is hyper which starts to explain everything everyone we have to bring him down!" Samus ordered and everyone now present and who wasn't lying on the floor unconscious began to try to assault the twitching glove. But without their weapons and powers a lot of the smashers where of no help in the situation.
"Why the hell are we powerless but that thing remains as powerful as ever?!" Dark Pit exclaims as he was easily tossed aside by one of the extra long finger tentacles. The fierce battle raged on but the glove being thrashing around was taking them out and fast their numbers where starting to deplete it was just too strong. After another short battle Crazy Hand managed to completely knock out every single smasher gathered, well except for one, whos ancestor took the blow for her.
Lucina was now backed against the corner as the hyperactive glove had previously knocked Marth through the wall. She started backing up as his fingers returned to normal and approached while twitching like crazy. "Ooooh pReTtY tOy" he said as he attempted to grab her but she moved out of the way and started looking for anything she could use to her advantage, but there was actually nothing that would bring the thing down much less faze him. In fact she was pretty sure she was the last one left as the large lobby was now littered with unconscious bodies. She got cornered afterwards and tried to think of something but nothing came to mind except her inevitable end...
Meanwhile in a undisclosed location...
"Hey what the hell his going on here?" A voice exclaimed as it felt around its cushiony surroundings in confusion having just come to.
"DTL is that you?" He hears the voice of his infamous older counterpart.
"Yeah where are you?" He asks as DTL begins to claim from under all cushions and begins to see light. A pair of hands roughly grab him and pull him up into the surface, all to reveal an enclosed room with a single spot light in the middle. In the middle of the large room however was but a cage containing a man in a suit with a glove for a head.
"What is this place?" He asks his older counterpart who just shrugged and looked around.
"Your guess is as good as mine." He sighs as they head to the group who was seated around the cage, which was indeed all the missing smashers. A single banner hung in the far back with big bright red letters saying: Crazy's Toy Box.
"Oh DTL please tell me you have your weapons?" Master Hand asks the dark cartoon hylian who shakes his head slowly as the group groans throwing themselves on the ground in defeat. "Blast is all!" Master Hand sighs planting his head against the bars.
"So what exactly is going on here?" DTL asks the group and that's when Zelda spoke up.
"Crazy looted MHs snack closet and leveled up his insanity, and trapped MH in his own trap. Sealed the mansion off and cut the lights so he can freely run loose and wreck hovac. We've been waiting for someone who has any tools to come along so that we could pry MH free and end all this." Zelda explained while the little dark counterpart nodded and took a seat he figured they'll be there for a while.
"Kind of hard when he activated the no weapons switch" he says with a shrug and everyone turns to him and groans.
"Oh for the-a love of!" Mario exclaims while the others groaned even louder in annoyance.
"Is it just me or is this plan well too thought out and planned for it to be Crazy?" Robin speaks up while looking and thought and everyone turns towards Master Hand.
"The thought hadn't crossed my mind" He responds with a shrug as everyone sweat dropped seeing he overlooked his sibling.
"Think about it, to this point Crazys antics where always random and jagged, not to mention unpredictable. This time however its thought out and coordinated, he knew what to hit and where, he knew where to be and why. Almost as if his actions were being guided." Robin states and everyone nods in agreement seeing as what he was saying had truth.
"Impossible, Crazy can't be reasoned with much less negotiated into an agreement. There is no controlling him, even Tabuu had him locked up for his sake!" Master Hand explained but everyone still seemed skeptical, there still was no way he planned all this out.
"Wait how is it that someone as smart as you was taken?" Dark Link says while Robin rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.
"I was distracted and caught off guard" Robin responds with a slow sigh while Dark Link scoffed.
"You're one to talk, Mr. Greatest warrior in hyrule!" Link mockingly states earning him a glare from his counterpart.
"You have something to say, say it to my face!" Dark Link remarks as Link stood up.
"I would but your bad breath might kill me" He responds with a sly grin while Dark Link just growls.
"Thats it you're dead elf!" He says and rushes at him to which he too charges at him and they start a brawl.
"You leave him alone you big dork!" Toon Link shouts and kicks Dark Link in the shins.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" DTL comes and tackles Toon Link and they begin their own brawl.
"Is it always like this with them?" Robin asks while everyone else just pretty much nods.
"yup pretty much" Zelda responds with a sigh.
"Enough!" Master Hand shouts annoyed while the four of them stop mid brawl to look at the hand. "Listen!" He says as everyone goes quiet and they hear the slight muffle of another person under all the cushions again.
"Quick look for that person, this can be our hope!" Peach says as everyone rushes towards the sound and start frantically digging. When they pull the person out they see it to be the Male Villager.
"Hey Vill you wouldn't happen to have any tools on you would you?" Toon Link asks.
"I think so let me check?" He says as he takes out a sack and starts pulling out all kinds of things from it. Everyone just had a deadpan expression watching him pull out countless junk.
"Hey this lock pick will do!" Robin exclaims and begins unlock Master Hands cage lock" Everyone looks on eagerly until finally a click is heard and the lock fall off. "There that should do it!" He says as everyone cheers and Master Hand snaps his hands making them teleport into his office. The lights come back on shortly after much to their relief, just then they heard a very loud commotion coming from the lobby along with the multiple shouts of Smashers. Master Hand materializes a large rifle in his hand and walks out as everyone follows suite.
Back in the Lobby…
Lucina could only stare hopelessly as the giant disembodied hand inch closer to her, having no way out she accepted her demise. She now just tightly closed her eyes not wanting to see what the thing had in store for her. That is until...
"CRAZY!" a loud booming voice echoed throughout the mansion and the crazy glove cringed. Master Hand appeared at the entrance shortly after with the others that disappeared or where dragged away. Before Crazy could do anything Master Hand shot him with a large dart and the glove instantly fell to the floor and transformed back into its human form, the crazy being just started to stumble about for a while before falling flat on its face with a loud thud. It still twitched a little now and then but other then that it was finally down much to everyone's relief.
Then everyone came to, after that Master Hand started to explain the situation to everyone about how his brother started the chaos, and how he along with several others where trapped by crazy in the attic in his personal 'play room' but they managed to escape. After that is was only a simple matter of following the noise of all the commotion which led them to the lobby, everything did seem to be returning to normal again and everyone's power eventually got restored much to their relief. Crazy hand was locked up afterwards so that he won't be able to do any more of his shenanigans while everyone finally started to relax. The lockdown was deactivated as well letting the sunlight flood into the mansion and they couldn't be happier to see the outside world again.
Meanwhile In the control room…
"You served me well destructive deity, you served me well. That deal we made was well worth it however, your usefulness has ran its course." The deep voice said as he grinned. "Gave me plenty of time to execute my Ultimate Plan!" He cackles as he pressed a series of buttons. "I've spent three days on this its my greatest work!" He begins cackling louder as a mechanical voice came overhead: mansion prank settings activated.
Back in the lobby-
Everyone started to leave glad that the whole charade was finally over, until the unthinkable happened when people started to leave the lobby. Everyone started falling into traps. But the problem was how where they set because this didn't appear to be the work of Crazy Hand. The more traps people fell into the more everyone started to panic or get frustrated at the days rotten events. "EVERY SMASHER FOR THEMSELVES!" Toon screamed and everyone split off into multiple directions like a stampede. The Elite Six actually tried to calm everyone but to no avail. Lets just say that the Smash mansion was in complete and utter chaos once again but how and why when Crazy was out of commission so what's going on?
Master Hand of course wanted to go and check what all the commotion was about now. Well he would of but now not so much, as the gloved being was trying to wonder why his rear end was glued to his office chair and of course wouldn't come off. He magically restored his office so there shouldn't be anything wrong or at least he thought.
The Smashers however where in no better luck as they where still trying to escape the death trap they once called home. But many have fallen victims to nets or pitfalls and fell through the floor or something fell on them trapping them as well. That wasn't all either as people also suddenly got stuck on objects and no matter what couldn't break free. The Elite Six however who were among the few who weren't running around the mansion like maniacs got to work on finding the culprit. They would have asked Lucario for help but unfortunately our favorite aura pokemon was trapped inside a jello pit at the moment. Well it seemed that whoever it was, was doing a good job of evading everyone not to mention pissing off a majority of the crowd.
Meanwhile in a unknown location,
A figure appeared after safely teleporting out of the control room holding a large bucket and a paint brush, "Now, let the games BEGIN!"
Alrighty then that conclude the end of this chapter boys and ghouls!
I hoped you all enjoyed the newest adaptation of the holloween special. So alright this story was originally suppose to be plain horror and suspense but because I put it with a comedy story, well I just so happen to change a few things around and change it into comedy not to mention change the cast a little. The original cast of this story was the Brawl cast because Sm4sh was just barely being leaked into the world and I knew nothing about it, but I was thinking of actually making the original again but instead I put it here. Any who just wanted to give you guys a little background about my old story which I hope still came out good or better.
