A Walk Among Giants, Chapter 17: Requiem
Ok then peoples, im back, this story is back, and I hope you guys are back too…
Ok so lots of stuff happened that delayed me. First and foremost the first quarter of this year I cracked down hard to finish school. I failed one exam before, I didn't want a repeat. And then it was me moving on, getting my own place, steady job, getting bills paid off on time. And also finding time on the side to focus on extracurricular activities of my own.
Now let's pick this up again shall we! (*＾▽＾)／

WHAM!
In an instant a sword flew into the little alarm clock sitting at the edge of the room ripping the little device in half and shutting it off. Little sparks danced around it and the dark angel stood there looking down at the broken device, He was but mere inches away from shutting it off the way they're meant to be. He turns around towards the far back of the room seeing a pair of dark blue eyes glaring at him from under the covers of a bed, barely visible through the dim light entering the room from the shut curtains. Her face goes under the covers once more turning away from the angel and facing the wall. "You know just once, ONCE, I wish you would just let me turn off my alarm instead of you breaking it, that's the 8th alarm clock you've broken." He speaks up with a sigh picking up the remains of his alarm clock and tossing them into the trash.
"You're seriously not going to ask me again when you clearly know the answer you prick!" came a sharp muffled reply from under the covers shortly afterwards. A smug grin slowly spreads across his face as he plainly and simply shrugs his shoulders.
"No actually, I don't know why you insist on breaking my things for no reason whatsoever?" he states plainly shrugging his shoulders some more as his grin grew. He got no sort of response however or action as he was hoping, as per the norm. His shoulders dropped and he just sighed, things changed drastically over the course of a few months and it hasn't been the same since. She grew dull and boring, spending all her time in bed and or being a mope around the mansion, battles and training sessions have gone astray since she wouldn't even put effort into it much anymore. His taunts and pranks now started to fly over her head and to be honest it was now starting to annoy him. He opens the curtains letting in the sunlight staring blankly at the room, it was indeed quite messy and disorganized on her side. Papers, cups, dirty clothes, food wrappers and personal items where all littered around her bed, Her bed as well messy sheets and pillows splattered about. Frankly he thought he was the messy one and she'd often complain about his mess, so it was sort of ironic to see her be the one with the mess. And quite frankly he was growing quite bored of it, he found her new attitude amusing at first but now it was just ridiculous.
"Ok well whatever buttercup, get up we need to train" He states but she just hums unamused in response. "Don't 'hmm' me you blueberry snot, you've gotten sloppy and uncooperative, you gotten bested by the worst recently. Personally I wouldn't care but you're bringing me down, your bringing us down, i'm pulling both our weights out there. By far we are the worst duo out there. You need to get your crap together because this is pathetic on a whole new level even for you." He proclaims crossing his arms but gets no response from her whatsoever making him growl under his breath. He never thought he'd say it but, he misses the old Lucina more than he cared to admit. "The hell with this!" he exclaims and pulled her legs dragging her out of bed and she hit the floor with a loud thud. He was expecting some sort of retaliation now, but she simply crawled back into bed making his left eye twitch. He rushed over again grabbing her legs in a strong firm grip intending on dragging her out of the room by force. He pulls with all his might but she doesn't move an inch as she was holding onto the bed frame tightly. However he gives up afterwards seeing as he was getting nowhere and lets out an angry huff. "FINE, stay here and soak in your self pity!" he exclaims taking his bow from the closet and slams the door shut on the way out.
Lucina just adjusted herself in bed staring up at the ceiling and removing the covers from herself, of course she doesn't want to get up when her spirit had been crushed and she's been humiliated. Robin flat out rejected her and to top it off added insult to injury, and they weren't alone that night. Peach was just around the corner ready to pounce on them once they as she put it "proclaimed their love for each other." However things took a sharp turn instead and nothing went as planned that night. The next morning though Lucina spent the day being pitied upon by almost all the inhabitants, as Peach had informed everyone of the happenings of the previous night (and exaggerated a few parts). Robin also had stated he wasn't sorry for how he went about things or something along those lines according to the gossip, although he did spend the day being slapped so there was that. So not only did she get hurt but she was also humiliated, worst yet is Dark Pit jumped on the bandwagon as well as every morning he would set an alarm playing sad music just to spite her. Well eventually she stopped caring and just grew bored and dull of it all, thus bringing us to her current state. She just moped around on her free time and did a half job on anything else just so she could leave. She much preferred to be in her room alone then out there where everything just goes wrong. "You're never going to be good enough" those words seemed to always be repeating in her mind.
There was a knock at the door but she didn't bother getting up she just kept staring at the ceiling motionless. The door slowly opened up and in stepped Raven looking concerned as usual holding some toast and a water bottle. "Hey Lucy how are you feeling today?" She spoke softly while setting the things down on the nightstand. "I brought you something to eat since breakfast is over and you'll have something." She says waiting for a response or movement but got nothing from the bluenette. Her once distinctive hair was now unkept and messy being a darker shade of blue then the usual. Her once bright eyes were now dull, most of her usual attire had its usual colors faded and dull as well. Raven just signed while twiddling with her fingers before she turned to leave, as she was closing the door she heard a distinctive "Thank you." She slowly closed the door placing her back against it with a sad sigh slumping her shoulders before walking off. From around the corner a silhouette stepped out walking towards the door stopping mere inches from it, it turns around momentarily and walks away.
The sky was later covered by a thick sheet of clouds that rumbled and cackled, Lucina just watched the rain coming down against her window. She didn't leave the room unless it was absolutely necessary for her to do so, like a battle event or a meeting, other then that she stayed put. She finished the toast Raven brought her and tossed the bag on the floor and chugged some her water and tossed the bottle aside. It didn't hit the floor however and was caught in mid air and set aside. Lucina turns her head to see the hero king standing by her bedside with a stern look on his face. "Let's take a little walk" He says plainly tossing a coat at her all the while she sighs and lowers herself in bed...
*Outside*
They walked along a little stone path in a meadow with umbrellas stretched out over their heads. The only things audible was the soft thumbing of the gentle sprinkling and the splash of their steps against the wet stone. The weather outside had turned very chilly recently so they were wearing warm clothes. Lucina wore a light blue long sleeve shirt with a light brown coat over it, white checkered sweatpants, dark brown boots and pink earmuffs. Marth wore a white long sleeve shirt with a black long coat over it, black sweatpants, black boots and a black beanie. Their breath was also clearly visible every time they would breathe out signifying how cold it was. "So, do you want to talk about it?" Marth asked her trying to get a small conversation going.
"not really, no…" She replied.
"You know its not good to keep these things bottles up you know, besides that i'm family" He responds nudging her with his elbow a little. "You can confide in me" He adds as they continued walking slowly.
"I'm sure you've already heard all there is to know from the rumors circulating around." She sighed while slumping her shoulders.
"I will admit I have indeed." he begins as he places a hand on her shoulder stopping her and turning her around to face him. "However, I think it best if I hear it from the source itself, i'm not one to go off of mere rumors." Marth assures her. She lifts her umbrella slightly making her face visible and meeting his stern gaze. "Yes I can assure you I heard all about your falling out with Robin." He continues while she lowers her gaze once more and closed her eyes slowly trying to push the horrid memory away.
"You're never going to be good enough for me..."
"I think you should also know I have heard it first hand from him as well in this case." He adds momentarily afterwards, she however flares turning her back to him fuming a bit at the mere mention of him.
"Well if that is so Marth, then I don't see a reason why you would concern yourself speaking to me." She replies and begins to walk away her boots splashing angrily against the cold wet stone path. That is until a hand grabbed her arm in an instant halting her as she turns her head looking at the hand wrapped around her arm.
"Lucina come on be reasonable, these rumors have clouded your judgment." He assures her, keeping a firm hold of her.
"Marth" She begins as she lifted her gaze from her arm and looking him dead in the eye. "Let. Me. Go." She says in a low voice slowly but he kept his gaze fixated on her without budging. It was like that for what felt like the longest minute with the only moment being their visible breathing. "Marth" She says again more harshly pulling her arm away but his grip only tightened.
"No Lucina" came his quick and sharp reply, "not until we have tackled this thing and get you out of that devil-may-care attitude of yours!" He says turning her around while holding her by the shoulders with both hands dropping his umbrella on the floor in the process. "Lucina this has got to stop, you've been hiding in your room for a little over a month now, you're rude and impolite to people now, have no regard for others sense of dignity or compassion, and worse yet utter disregard for yourself!" He scolds her but only earning him a glare from the fellow bluenette.
"And so what, who are you to tell me how to live my life!" She counters while his hold on her shoulders only tightened.
"I'm your family, the only one you have at the moment, and believe it or not I actually care for you as if you were my own daughter!" He replies sharply shaking her a little.
"Well good on you, however why don't you get a life and stop worrying about me and others so much you foolhardy idiot!" She exclaims watching his expression hardened, she'd never seen him like this before. She just silently watched as he stared silently at her through his wet banges draped down his eyes.
"Lucina," he simply breathes out while swiping his wet hair aside. "What happened to you?" He says while shaking his head in confusement.
*Inside*
"Well it's hard to say, I don't know what to say that will get you to understand my point, or what will get you to see my side of the story" She finished as she leaned forward in her seat resting her chin on her fist.
"There is nothing to say!" He counters while the others nod along in agreement. "Clearly you have gotten your information all mixed up or from the wrong source entirely." he scoffs leaning back in his seat.
"If I remember correctly," a new voice cuts in, "I hear it went a little something like this:"
"OH ROBIN!" Lucina exclaimed placing her hand on her forehead while leaning back a little. "My heart aches for you with a burning desire that consumes my soul." She says as he takes a step forward taking one of her hands into his while getting on one knee.
"And I you!" he says as he places his other hand over his chest. "Your beauty is like a fluorescent moon, its smooth delicate colors adding beauty and light to all its surroundings. Its smooth surface showing every detail perfectly smitten anyone who dares gaze upon you" he finishes as he lowers his head slightly.
"You, you are bold and harsh like the sun, blinding anyone hopelessly that dares gaze upon you. Your blinding light overshadowing everything that it be only you left to gaze upon" she says as he stands up and takes her in his arms leaning over her. "Your light has then blinded me to any other site but your own, you are my light." she finished as she placed her hand upon her forehead once more.
"But alas fair maiden" he speaks lifting her to her feet once more and spinning her away till only their hands touched, he places a hand over his chest again elegantly while staring upon the night sky. "Your light is not bold enough to be with mine, I will only outshine you, you will only be the moon upon the daylight that will only be gazed upon by pure luck of sight. And…
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
In an instant the group of men where hollering with laughter tripping over one another. Palutena huffed in anger and sank herself in her seat while crossing her arms.
"Lady Palutena… Have you been reading romance novels again?" Pit sighs while rubbing his temples trying to draw out the overwhelming laughter. It was hard to do with Link leaning over his shoulder and hollering in his ear. "I swear she always finds new ways to embarrass me" he whispers under his breath.
"Excuse me?!" She says while leaning forward giving Pit a challenging glare.
"Nothing lady Palutena" He replies albeit a little sarcastically while rolling his eyes.
"Pit may I speak with you in the hall please" she said getting up and heading towards the door.
"What I do!?" he whines while she stops at the door crossing her arms and tapping her shoe on the floor impatiently. "But… But… But…" He protests but ultimately just slumps his shoulders in defeat. "Yes ma'am…"
The others however had begun to settle down from their laughing fit. While everyone took their seats around the lounge again. "I heard it went entirely different" Ike said taking a chicken bone out of his mouth and waving it about. "Here's what I heard
:"
"Robin" Lucina exclaims from the doorframe leading out into the balcony. Robin, (being dressed in a leather jacket with his hair combed backwards while wearing sunglasses for some reason.) Turns around slowly while removing his shades and tossing them off the balcony.
"Lucina" he says running a hand down his hair to keep it in place. "I knew you'd come, it was only a matter of time." he says extending his arms out motiong her to him.
"You're right Robin" she says holding both her hands up to her chest with a sigh. She then runs to him embracing him in a hug while smelling his shirt, weirdly enough. "I just can't seem to resist your vast masculinity that has overwhelmed me." She says sinking her face into his chest.
"I know" he says whipping his head to the side while slowly separating from her. "However" he says holding her back with his hand. "I'm afraid I can't allow me being such a stud to overwhelm you. I'm afraid of the toll it might take you"
"But Robin, I don't care if I lose myself to you, I just can't bare the thought of me without you, I must have you…"
"OH IT SO DID NOT HAPPEN LIKE THAT!"
All the females exclaimed at once while Ike just shrugged popping the drumstick back in his mouth. "Yeah if anything" Zelda said while standing up, "it went like this:"
"Lucina" Robin says as he steps out into the balcony as she turns around slowly. "I can't keep it in anymore!" he exclaims. "I just had to tell you, it's been killing me since the very beginning. You haunt my dreams Lucina" he says as he takes her in his arms.
"And I adore you too Robin" she replies as he quickly pulls away.
"However, I'm afraid your beauty is too much for me, I lose myself everytime i'm in your presence. That is why I ask you, no, I beg you to please not see me anymore. I can resist forever and…
"OH THAT'S A BUNCH OF CRAP!"
All the guys exclaim at once while Zelda scoffs, "excuse you guys?!" She says while the other girls stand behind her.
"You heard us" Link says standing up with all the guys behind him. As both sides crossed their arms.
"Hey if anything" Roy speaks up getting in the middle of both sides. "I heard it went like this:"
"Robin tengo qué confesar algo"
"Dímelo cual quiere cosa qué será Lucina."
"Te amó, desde que té volví a ver por la primera vez."
"sí ya lo sabía, neumas qué no Mé podría traerme confesar. Ño podemos consumir nostró amor Lucina."
"No entiendo, por qué no podemos consumir nostro amor Robin?"
"Yo no soy Robin!"
"Qué dieses?"
"Si soy Robin, numas qué también soy tú madré!"
"ALRIGHT HOLD ON THERE!"
Shulk exclaimed getting in the middle with Roy looking around before turning to the redhead. "Roy…" He sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose. "Have you been watching Sop Operas again?" he says while giving him a stern look. Roy however just fiddled with his cape for a bit avoiding his gaze.
"Perhaps just a little" he responds holding up his hand in a pinch. While everyone sweat drops and he stares around confused.
"Besides that it is so obvious that she came onto him!" Link says shoving the redhead away.
"Oh come on he clearly came on to her!" Zelda remarks shoving Shulk out of the way.
"If he came unto her, then why would HE reject HER!" Link replies sarcastically while they both make faces at each other.
"Because you guys like playing with our feelings and insecurities!" She remarks while crossing her arms. "YEAH!" the other girls agree with her.
"US?! you guys are the perfectors of messing with feelings and insecurities!" Link remarks as he too crossed his arms "YEAH!" all the other guys agree with him.
"You're all wrong" they hear a new voice say, they all turn to see Dark Link leaning against the doorframe. "If anything of anything I assure you it went like this:"
"Well the truth is, I-I like you Robin, I really like you." She explains while taking a small step towards him. Robin however wasn't expecting that and just squeals out a response with his voice cracking as well. He just nervously stares at her before he turns and runs down the hall full blast without looking back. Lucina however just stares at him dumbfounded.
"And that is how that night concluded" He finished while everyone was huddled around the dark hylian listening intentionally.
"Yeah that makes sense" everyone agrees at once while they all disband coming to an agreement.
"Now hold on a minute!" Raven interjects coming in the middle of everyone. "That does NOT sound like my brother at all!" She states while crossing her arms. However Zelda took hold of her dragging her back into the crowd.
"What are you doing?!" Zelda exclaims holding her by the collar. "Can't you see we won, let bygones be bygones!" She says shaking the tactician.
"Oh I'm sorry I wasn't aware this matter was a competition?!" She remarks sarcastically as Zelda sighed shaking her head slightly.
"It always is Rave!" Zelda replies while Raven just rolled her eyes.
"Yeah one which you clearly lost" Link added with a chuckle as he crossed his arms. Zelda however scoffs as she tossed Raven aside and approached Link.
"You listen here!" Zelda says as she places her finger right under Links chin. A that point everyone just goes off at once with everyone throwing a random argument every which way.
"HEY, HEY, HEY!" Roy begins shouting while jumping and waving his arms around frantically. "EVERYONE!" he exclaims while everyone simultaneously stops at once to look at the redhead. Well all except one individual who didn't get the message.
"And you just tell me one thing missy!" Shulk huffs while wagging his finger about at Rosalina, "do these shorts make my butt look big?!" He exclaims while pointing at his bottoms. That is until he realised all pairs of eyes where on him and the room was dead silent. He just smiled sheepishly while standing up straight very slowly.
Roy then clears his throat and everyone turns to look at him and he motions towards the 3rd floor window he was looking out of. They saw Lucia and Marth outside walking through the Mansion's gardens.
"hey she's finally out of bed" Shulk shrugged while a couple others nodded in agreement.
"Yeah but now it's not as bad as how the first week was, remember that?" Zelda speaks up while everyone silently thinks to themselves.
"Oh Naga do I!" Raven adds while she shook her head slowly, crossing her arms as well and shivered.
"She wouldn't sleep that whole week, this really took a toll on her. That and also there was that time you found her in your room at 1am." Palutena says while she nudged Raven who just sighed slowly while lowering her head.
"Yes how could I forget the night I almost had a heart attack" Raven says as her voice cracked a little while nudging Palutena.
"She wasn't the only one remember how obsessive Peach became in trying to figure out what went wrong?" Rosalina piped in as everyone scoffed simultaneously.
"BOY DO I!" Everyone responds at once while looking at one another talking about individual experiences. As some remember when the first incident happened.
FLASHBACK*
Mario walked down the hall till he reached the big brown door at the end of it. He took out a small case from his pocket and opened it up. He takes a large key out with the smash symbol engraved on it. He slips it into the keyhole and turns it as loud clicking noise emits from the door before opening. He enters the room that was dark and daft, a large overhead lamp with six bulbs stood in the middle of the room illuminating a metallic chair. Two large rectangular lights dangled on both sides of the large lamp. Six small monitors sat on a large desk left of the chair, all showing different locations and smashers while switching constantly. To the right sat a single large monitor which was switched off. In the far back of the room where countless other machines and desks scattered around.
A noise comes from the back sounding like a heavy book being smacked down on a desk. "Peach are-a you in-a here?" He asks as he walks towards the back. "We've got to-a meet the-a others for-a lunch remember we-a have that-a big thing today remember that-a?" He says climbing up the stairs to get to the small room in the far back of the large room he entered. He opens the door to see a small lamp on the floor barely illuminating the room. He squints his eyes to have a look around before he spots her.
He illuminates the room with a fireball to get a better look, Peach had wide psychotic eyes and her hair was a mess, her dress was disoriented. There was a board behind her with pictures of smashers and locations pinned there and threads of string connecting multiple things to one another. She was mumbling to herself and seemed too lost in her thoughts to have even noticed Mario.
"Peach we-a have to-a go…" he says nervously while tugging on his collar.
"The numbers don't add up" she whispers while seemingly mentally counting. "Something is missing the numbers don't add up" she says again pressing both hands against her face.
"Uh um" Mario squealed out nervously while backing away. "I'm-a just going to-a wait out-a here then!" he finished and quickly and nervously tumbled down the stairs. He goes and sits on the metallic chair in the middle of the room tapping his fingers nervously. He hears the speakers in the room come on but only emitting static. At this point he started to sweat as he glanced at the large window of the little room within the big one. Bright blinding lights turned on from within the little room which made him shield his eyes with his arm momentarily. When he glanced back up he saw Peach's silhouette by the window looking down at him.
"The numbers, Mario! What do they mean?"
END OF FLASHBACK*
"I don't know what happened after that, but Mario hasn't set foot in that room since." Link finished with a sigh as he solemnly lowered his head.
"You know you guys speak a lot of this room, yet everyone claims they've never seen such room before how is that?" Ike speaks up again waving his bone around again. Everyone turns to look at Link with a suspicious face but he held up his finger, as he was currently in the middle of eating a sandwich which he likes to take abnormally large bites out of.
"That's because it's one of our Elite Six chambers, we all have keys see." Zelda says taking out said key to show everyone. "But we only use it to run high level operations of major importance right Link!" She adds while she pocketed her key and everyone turns to the other hylian. He still held his finger up as he was still in the middle of smacking on his sandwich. After a good five minutes of waiting he finally finished chewing.
"What she said" he simply responded before he took another large bite of his sandwich.
"Is that where she held Robin when he went missing for a whole week?" Raven spoke up while everyone else started to remember the incident.
"Fortunately no" Zelda sighed, "she held him in our attic branch" she says while placing a hand on her forehead and looked at the floor shaking her head slowly.
"That poor bastard!" Roy comments while everyone else nods along. "Well today is the day Marth said he'll sort this whole mess out, and seeing the dedication on his face I'm sure everything is going smoothly." Roy adds momentarily while everyone slowly glances towards the window very slowly.
OUTSIDE*
"Why do you keep walking away from me?!" Marth exclaims while trying to keep up with the other bluenette who was speed walking.
"Because I have already told you everything there is to say!" She responds not even bothering to stop.
"Well I don't think you truly believe that" he says rushing past her and standing in her way.
"And why is that!" shes asks irritated seeing as that's the 5th time he does this.
"You just keep giving me flat answers, you're trying to avoid me. You're just trying to blow this off as always" He responds crossing his arms. She however just growls under her breath. She tries to move past him but he keeps standing in her way.
"UGH!" she exclaims frustratingly, "Stop doing that!" She says tossing her umbrella at him.
"You're not walking away from this" he proclaims while he crossed his arms. "You don't talk to us anymore Lucy and it's concerning, you don't even answer your communication device!" He says while she lowers her head slightly. "Raven and I got you it for that reason, to always stay communicated" he finished as he sighs slowly.
"You mean this magic brick thing" she says talking out the little device from her pocket. While Marth slowly nodded his head as she pocketed the device again. "Its out of fuel or whatever" she sighs.
"Didn't you use the charger it came with?" He asks nonchalantly while she lowers her head again.
"I did it didn't work" she responds taking the charger out of her pocket as well to show him.
"Did you remember to plug it into a wall socket as well?" He asks with a smile on his face.
"A what?" She asks somewhat confused to which Marth just chuckled.
"That's quite alright I didn't get the hang of it either at first, come I'll show you how to fully use and comprehend your communication device." he says taking the charger from her and motioning her to follow, which she did somewhat embarrassed.
*Inside*
"You will bow to me!" He exclaims while laughing maniacally.
"Never!" She retorts, "I shall not yield to the likes of you!" She says challenging him.
"GAME!"
"PLAYER 1 WINS!"
"You cheated!" Zelda exclaims in a huff while standing up from her seat.
"Nu uh, you just suck!" Link remarks as he crossed his arms with a smug look on his face. Both hylians where currently in the large living room playing a fighting video game.
"A bets a bet!" He says standing up and doing a little dance making her scowl at him.
"Best out of 3 then, winner takes all!" She proposed as he let out a thunderous laugh.
"Are you sure you can handle the humiliation darling?" He says wiping a fake tear away.
"Bring it!" She challenged picking up her controller again and slumping down on her seat determined to win.
"As you wish!" He says picking up his controller and setting up the match.
"GAME!"
"PLAYER 1 WINS"
"Best out of 4!" She exclaims quickly
"If you so wish" Link simply shrugs
"GAME!"
"best out of 5!"
"So be it"
"PLAYER 1 WINS"
"Best out of 6!"
"Suit yourself"
"PLAYER 1 WINS"
"best out of 7"
"GAME!"
"Best of 8!"
"GAME!"

"GAME!"
"Alright you bastard best out of 10, last one winner takes all, no take backs!"
"Princess haven't I humiliated you enough?"
"You scared!" She challenged him in desperation, to which he just slowly sighed.
"Alright your loss, this will be 10 favors you owe me" he says starting up the new match. Though he was unaware Zelda was studying his tactics and this time she had him right where she wanted him…
"GAME!"
"PLAYER 1 WINS"
Zelda just stared at the screen in disbelief as her controller slowly hits the floor. She had it, there was no way she could've lost that match. Her eye started to twitch in annoyance. The other hylian however was standing on the sofa and dancing like a moron savoring his victory.
"Ah Link, using the speed cheat nice!" Roy said from the back sipping from a box of juice.
"WHAT?!" Zelda exclains turning to the red head and then back at the other hylian. Link however was making all sorts of hand gestures telling the redhead to shut it.
"Yeah its a hidden cheat to make the character you use faster and deadlier" Roy shrugged and walked away sipping on his box of juice. Zelda however turned to Link giving him a murderous glare.
"I. love. you?" He squealed out nervously before he took off full blast out the door and through a window, landing in the bushes and kept going off into the distance, Zelda hot on his heels. A big explosion later goes off a few good meters away from the mansion, but was still visible from that distance.
*Back Inside*
"So do you more or less understand the function of it?" Marth says clicking out of the app to return to the homepage.
"Yes I do, honestly it's really quite simple once you get the hang of it" She says clicking away on it, actually relieved she got the hang of it. She was more than excited to try some things out, Marth showed her a few neat little features that caught her interests. A little ding goes off from her device moments later notifying her of a message.
"Oh look I got a message from Link" she says opening the message eager to check her first message ever.
"Huh, so did I" Marth says confusingly checking the message on his own device. It was a live video feed Link apparently sent to everyone.
"To anyone listening, I'm trapped in the forest, food supply is running low and i'm also low of fuel." He says frantically in between his panting and stopped briefly to catch his breath. "I-I managed to lose my deranged would be killer" he continued before looking around nervously before proceeding.
"Please I ask anyone available to SEND SOME HELP, HELP ME-" he stopped immediately after hearing some rustling in some foliage nearby. "Oh no. its. HER, ITS HER, HELP ME HELP MEEEEEEEEEE!" The device drops to the floor as Link is seemingly dragged away. A small glimpse of Link kicking furiously is briefly seen as the darkness of the forest engulfed him. His high pitch scream is heard getting further from his device before the feed abruptly cuts.
Before either bluenette could respond a loud explosion occurs in the forest nearby. They both turned to see the large cloud of smoke and fire rising in the distance. "What was THAT?!" Lucina exclaims standing up from her bed.
"It's probably in our best interest to ignore that" Marth simply states with a sigh. "let's just get back to this" he says motioning to her device.
*LATER*
"Man, so many new friends, who shall I acquaint myself with now?" Roy gleefully thought to himself as he sipped on his carton of juice. "Maybe they'll be easier to acquaint with!" Roy said snapping his fingers while looking at the names on the roster. His finger pointing at a name that was shared by two on the roster.
"Hey Roy what you up to?" He heard someone say behind him. He turns and sees no one there however. He swore he heard a child's voice just now…
"Up here dude" came the voice again from above. He looks up to see Toon Link hanging from his clawshot staring down at him.
"What are you doing up there?!" Roy responds while raising an eyebrow as the little cartoon hero shrugs.
"Eh, just hanging" he says and goes silent as someone comes tumbling down the hallway.
"Just wait till I get my hands on you, you little brat!" King Dedede says while struggling to get a giant plunger off his face. He goes on further down the hall while ranting about how he'll pummel Toon.
"Your handiwork I take it?" Roy motions down the hall with his head.
"Heh yeah" Toon smirks looking quite pleased with himself.
"Niiiiice" Roy responds as he held up his thumb towards Toon.
"So what ARE you doing here?" He asks again while coming down towards the floor.
"Looking for new friends" he responds while showing Toon his intended target.
"Oh, oof" Toon says while looking at the name in particular.
"What?" Roy says looking back at his screen.
"Weeeell, I'm sure the first one is no prob, but HER..." He says while looking back and forth between the phone and Roy. "I don't think she likes you very much, I would know." Toon says assuringly.
"Whaaaaaat?" Roy blurts out while stepping back. "Come on, it's me, why wouldn't anyone like me?" Roy says while jabbing both thumbs to his chest.
"She's not fond of pranksters" Toon simply states while crossing his arms. "That, aaaaaand, you did kinda blow up her most prized possession when you rigged the mansion with pranks." He says looking in thought while rubbing his chin.
"Pfft please, that was ages ago, everyone is over that, you'll see." Roy says confidently and begins walking away with his head held high.
"Oh this I GOT to see!" Toon says and follows after the red head.
*ELSEWHERE*
"Hey Ding-a-lings where you guys off to in a rush" Ike asks the speeding redhead and cartoon child.
"Roy thinks he can befriend a homicidal maniac" Toon says while snickering.
"Oh yeah who?" Ike says with a scoff. Toon shows him the phone and his eyes pop out of his head.
"Ohhh, this I GOT to see!" He says following behind Roy and Toon. They rush down the hall towards the rather large yet empty library of the manion. Despite it's rather large size however, very few or practically no one ever set foot there. The main lights where off so the large room was only thing illuminating it where the various small lamps scattered about on tables. Roy, Ike and toon where all peeking from around the corner looking for the subject at hand. Roy had his hands around his eyes like binoculars while scanning the room.
"Target acquired, two clicks to the south" Roy whispers and began crawling on the floor slowly.
"Which way is south, and what's a click?" Ike asks while he kept looking around eventually spotting the target. "Oh ok."
"Do a barrel roll" Roy says to himself as he rolls from one isle to the next. Eventually just walking upright towards the person. "Excuse me miss-" He stopped as she raised the rather ridiculously large book to her face.
"Uh excuse-" he tried again from the other side, she however shifted the book to block him. He lowers the big book only to find she held a smaller book inside the big book. She had her face pressed up against it as well.
He tried to lower the smaller book however, she just presses it against her face with more force making it difficult. However, instead of giving up and leaving, he stuck a ruler in between the book and her face and pulled with all his might. He managed to pry the book off her face despite him struggling, making it smack on the floor.
"Oh Roy I didn't see you there" She says casually as he slumped over a table trying to catch his breath. "Ok be seeing you" she casually walked off as he held up his finger.
"Dude I think that will make it into the hall of fail" Ike said as he and the others step out from behind a bookshelf laughing their asses off.
*in another hall*
"Hold the elevator" Roy said frantically as he spotted his target inside said elevator. He was in a full sprint and jumped to make it into the elevator just as the doors were closing, it felt as if time itself had ceased to exist as he gleefully glided through the air. He closed his eyes, letting the cool afternoon breeze from an open window pass thru his hair.
Only to collide head first into the metal doors...
Her focus however never left the book in her palm, even when a loud thud came from outside the metal door. She just turned the page and continued her reading.
*later*
She boarded the small shuttle van that was heading toward the city. It was her day off and she wanted to go and acquire a few things from the big city. Her partner sat next to her watching cat videos on his device. She thought to herself while she wrote notes down on a journal from her readings and observations as the shuttle began moving.
"Hey it's me again, remember me?" Roy said from outside the shuttle. He was waving frantically trying to get her attention. However, she was a little too focused on her notes to take notice. He was riding a small red motorcycle that he got from who knows where. He speed up the bike a little more to try to get closer.
He started speaking again but she didn't hear him, he waved his hand about as well. He then put both his hands cupped around his mouth to be louder. She finally lifted her head and he started to cheer knowing he got her attention.
Only to crash face first into a tree…
She looked out the window to see a few birds flying next to shuttle. She shrugged and got back to her notes.
*later*
She looked about the store trying to find just the right thing. All the while her partner pretended to sword fight with a mannequin. Roy spotted them from across the street in the small shop, he waved and began racing over. Glad he found her after losing track a few moments ago.
Only to get hit by a speeding truck…
*later*
Roy stumbled in through a side entrance into a lobby where the other swordsman where at. "Damn Roy you look like you were hit by a bus!" Ike said casually. Roy just waved them off and stumbled on, all the while the guys returned to their card game.
The two giant doors to the library suddenly slammed open as the redhead stepped in. Lightning flashed dramatically as he did so. He raised an eyebrow as he looked outside to see it was sunny out. He then shook his head and resumed his slow stomping towards the back of the huge library.
When he gets to her table he slams his hands on the table. And calmly tosses her book to the floor. "Hey I was reading that!" She states.
"Look here you little circus reject, you've been ignoring me for the last few months now, so I want to know what's your deal?!" He said as he put his twitching finger in her face. She crossed her arms with a huff while she looked him up and down.
"You destroyed my coat!" She huffed and turned her head keeping her arms crossed and tapping her fingers on her arms.
"That's it?!" He huffed waving his arms about. "All this for a stupid-"
"NOOOOOOOOOO!" The group of swordsman suddenly entered the room tackling Roy to the ground. They carried him off while she stood from her seat.
"Oh so sorry Raven, but Roy has an important meeting now." Ike said as he sat her back down and placed a book in her hands and frantically took off after the others.
*in a rec room*
Roy was sitting down in a chair he was tied to, a lamp was put up to his face. Link came and threw a bucket of water on his making his gasp and spit out some of it.
"Dude he's already awake" Shulk said as Link just shrugged and dropped the bucket.
"What were you thinking?!" Ike said stepping forward while Roy whipped his wet hair out of his face. Link, Ike, Shulk, Pit, and even Marth stood there with their arms crossed staring at the redhead.
"You know damn well what I was doing" He said struggling in his chair.
"Come on man we talked about this it's no use" Link said patting him on the back slowly.
"Once you're on Raven's blacklist you're not getting out" Marth speaks up stepping up to the redhead. "Just ask-" he says setting down a Toon Link who'd been stuffed with straw and had his eyes replaced with buttons on Roy's lap. "Him!" Marth Finished as Roy screamed like a little girl dropping the stuffed Toon on the floor.
"What the hell happened to him?!" Roy said in a panicked voice.
"Oh that's not Toon, that's just a prop we made for people to take their frustrations on." Link assured him picking it up and glaring at it.
"Pfft, I knew that" Roy said casually blowing his hair out of his face.
"Look man, The Robin's coat is like their pride and joy. It's so important to them because it reminds them of all they have been through. And warm memories and all that junk." Pit explains while he slowly stroked Roy's hair oddly enough.
"And you blew all the to smithereens with your death traps" Link finished as he imitated an explosion.
"I can fix it though, I've seen her with her coat on anyway!" Roy protests
"That's just borrowed from her quote on quote brother" Ike responds.
"So with no way of fixing this, you're on the black list, permanently!" Marth finished as he cut the ropes binding him and the group walked off.
Roy sighed but he wasn't about to give up. There was a way to fix it now he just needed to know how. "You'll see, you'll all see!" He said to himself as he speed off.
*later*
Roy took another sip of his coffee and looked at the clock on the wall, it was getting late, curfew was in a few minutes but he knew he was getting close to an answer. He had gone through the Robin's entire bio and history for any answers, And came up blank. He slammed his hand on the table and chugged his coffee tossing the cup and watching it hit Lucina's bio.
"There!" He said "The answer is there!" He raced over and opened it up laughing like a maniac while doing so.
*later*
Lucina slumped in her bed, this day seemed to pick up a little after the depressing months that had passed. She looked at her schedule to see tomorrow was her day off. She sighed as she kicked off her shoes getting ready to go to bed.
Dark Pit caught one of her flinging shoes just before it hit his face. "You know this is starting to become boring" he says tossing the shoe aside.
"Well I'm sorry if my life, which is none of your business by the way, is no longer amusing to you." She retorts while she gets her new pajamas out of a drawer. It was a gift she received a while back from Raven, some light blue onesie she got while out in the city. The times were changing from a warm climate to a cooler one. And the pajamas were really soft and warm, making for a very comfortable sleep.
Just as she was settling in for the night her night lamp turns on suddenly. Dark Pit stood over her bed with his arms crossed. "You know what your problem is?" he just casually says.
"Get out of my face" She warns but he doesn't budge.
"You get so emotionally attached that when everyone comes crashing down, you're the one who's burned the worst" He finished as he simply turns around and shuts off her lamp.
She stumbles out if bed turning the light on again. And she stops him from walking away. "Well you know not all of us are heartless assholes who's only joy in their pathetic lives is taking joy in others misery!" She retorts as he scoffs and slowly turns around to face her. She had her hands clenched into fists as she glared at him. "Some of us are actually human" she adds as a tear rolls down her cheek.
"We're actually not that different you and I" he says afterwards while she wiped the tear away.
"How so?" She asks as she stood her ground and continued to glare at him.
"Well for one, if you really think about it. We both never really had a childhood, under different circumstances however." He begins as her stare softens a little.
"You're family was taken from you, so you attach yourself to others greatly. You do everything in your power to not lose them in any way shape or form. So you won't have to go through what you did again." He added with a smirk while she slowly slumped her shoulders.
"I, however never had a family from the start, I was just bred for a single purpose, after that I'm sure I was to be discarded. I don't form attachments like you simply because I never got to form any in the first place. The closest thing I have to family is that ungodly woman and her annoying little pit-stain." He says as he shakes his head slowly.
Lucina just chuckled a little at the last part which caught him off guard. It had been a while since he saw her face make an expression other than a frown.
"See, you just laughed at my crappy life" He says jabbing at her. "Meaning you're a narcissist" he adds while she just pushed his finger away.
"You're just an idiot" she says as she turns her head from him crossing her arms. "However, that doesn't change the fact that you lack any sympathy or compassion." She says while he just shrugs his shoulders nonchalant.
"Maybe because there hasn't been much sympathy or compassion in my life much" He says still keeping his shoulders in a shrug. "I mean the whole Palutena and Pit taking me in thing was pity afterall."
"Still, you could at least try to be less of a jackass" She adds but he just simply shrugged again.
"I guess you make a point, which is why I offer to teach you not to be such a little sissy anymore." He says while she whips her head around
"Excuse m-"
"Yeah, if I'm gonna be stuck with you as a partner, I figure I could teach you a few things along the way." He cuts her off while he paced back and forth.
"Nope, uh uh, no way!" she declines.
"Before you-"
"Hell no!" She cuts him off. "If your battle methods are horrible, this is going to be like twice as worse!" She says frantically waving her arms around.
"You're being dramatic, besides you've been a little sloppy lately so you forced my hand." he says casually with a shrug and a pout.
"Oh that's a bunch of BU-"
"you owe me" he says bluntly with a smirk.
"Wha- I?" She blurted out confused.
"You remember a few months ago, I pulled you out of trouble. However I was to get a favor in return, remember princess?" He says with a wide grin as he crossed his arms.
"Let me get this straight, your favor for helping me, is for you to help me?!" She says dumbfounded.
"Well it's really more so a favor for myself." He replies, "do we have a deal?" He says with a cocky grin while holding out his hand.
"Ugh, fine it's better to cash in the favor now anyway." She says as she takes his hand.
"Good first lesson begins tomorrow, now get some rest you're going to need it!" He finishes as he tosses himself into his bed.
Lucina however just rolled her eyes and headed over to turn off her lamp. She was about to close the curtains when she sees someone on their balcony. They were in a special ops uniform that was fully black to blend into the night. The person also had a had gad mask on so their identity was concealed.
Lucina quickly turned on her lamp again and gasped when she saw the assailant ready a weapon. He shot off a gas grenade that smashed through the window and landed in the middle of the room. "What the FU- *Cough" Dark Pit Exclaimed as he jumped out of bed. He grabbed his bow turning it into swords while trying to get into combat position as he coughing uncontrollably.
Two more gas grenades were shot into the room. One of them hit Dark Pit in the chest making him stumble backwards and fall. The masked man then smashed through the remainder of the window into the room. He kicked Dark Pit's swords away before he turned to Lucina who was on the floor gasping for air. He placed a bag over her head and began to carry her off while she tried to fight him off to no use. She tried to call for help but the gas was making it difficult to even breathe let alone shout.
"Lucina!" Dark Pit called out and leapt at the man making him stumble and drop the blunette. He turns around and dodges a hit from the dark angel. When he moves to strike Pittoo catches his fist and removes his gas mask. The assailant who had another mask underneath, that concealed everything but his eyes began to cough. He kicks Pittoo in the abdomen making him stumble backwards and crash into one of the drawers completely breaking it. Pittoo tries to get up again but all his strength was gone and his vision was getting dark. He sees the assailant take ahold of Lucina again as she tries to fight him to no avail as she had no strength left herself. He slowly extends his arm out before everything goes dark.
The assailant makes his way to the balcony coughing uncontrollably himself now. He tumbles about as Lucina still continues to struggle with any last ounce of strength she may have. This however causes him to accidentally drop her off the balcony as he was preparing to escape. She crashes on the ground below knocking any air she may have had out of her lungs. Leaving her completely paralyzed as she just stared up at the night sky. The assailant had jumped down, or at least tried too, but just crash landed in the bushes nearby.
"AH F#$%!" He exclaims, "I should've really thought this through more!" He says as he slowly gets up but his back cracked.

"&%€# ON A STICK!" he exclaimed as he made his way over. And just hunched over trying to catch his breath as he held his finger. Lucina however could only stare at the assailant trying to catch his breath and stand up straight. "Come with me if you want to live!" He says and tried to pick her up again but his back cracked again making him wince.
He just took her arms instead and began to drag her away into the night, while silently cursing to himself every time something popped or cracked…
Alrighty ladies and jets, this concludes this long overdue chapter. Again I am terribly sorry for the wait, if anyone waited around this long that is… Anyway next chap will be unknown as I clearly can't promise anything…
