A Walk Among Giants, Chapter 18: Dogs of War!
Aaaand im back, it hasn't been too long right? RIGHT!?
At least compared to last time, right?
Anyway I hope you guys are ready to go down memory lane, because in this chapter we go back and visit one of my personal favs!

Lucina slowly opened her eyes to try and observe her surroundings. She raised her hand to block the really bright light from an large overhead lamp. She felt a little hazy as she slowly sat up to take a look around. She seemed to be in a large shed of sorts. There was lots of old belongings, as well as broken furniture, old rusty tools seemed to lined up on the walls. She was laying on an old torn mattress that looked like something from a crime scene. She saw the assailant from before hunched over a table looking over a map. He was far off in the back so he wasn't all too visible, but his outline was definitely there.
"Ah good you're awake!" He spoke up after seeing she was sitting up now. She looked around for anything she might be able to use as a weapon, or at the very least a way out. "We have a lot of work to do, the fate of the universes is in our hands!" He says as he approached and stepped into the light a few feet away.
"What do you want?" She asked firmly as she fully stood up now.
"Allow me to introduce myself" he says as he pulled the mask off. Which looked more like a beanie with eye holes cut out.
"ROY?!" She exclaimed when she saw that distinctive red head poke out. "Roy what the hell is going on?!" She demanded this time while he stepped out of his camo suit revealing his usual attire.
"I need your help Lucina" he said plain and simply while she looked at him dumbfounded.
"Well why didn't you just ask instead of organising this whole charade?!" She exclaims while frantically waving her arms at him.
"I think you'll find that I like to do things to the EXTREME!" He says while making hang gestures like he just revealed a big surprise.
"Yeah, im starting to notice!" She sighed as she slumped her shoulders. "Goodnight Roy" she simply says as she heads for the door.
"No, no wait!" He says stepping in her way, "I really need your help!" He says putting his hands on her shoulders.
"For what might I'd ask?" She says as he takes a deep breath.
"To fix the fate of the world and release it from a dark future." he says as he solemnly shakes his head.
"Ok bud, why don't you get help from someone else to play your little games with ok. I'm going back to bed, or at least what's left of it!" She says as she pushed passed him but he stops her once again.
"No, no I can't!" He quickly adds, "it's you it's always been you!" He says while she just stares blankly at him. "You are the only one who's ever done it and succeeded in erasing a dark fate." He says while slightly shaking her back and forth.
"Wha-"
"Time travel!" He exclaims excitingly, "I'm talking about time travel!" He says while she just sighs.
"Uh, no, I've had enough of that." She said as she reached the door only to find it locked. She turns back to Roy who had a grin on his face.
"Roy open this door" Lucina groaned while she pinched the bridge of her nose. He however just dropped to his knees and hugged one of her legs. He started speaking lots of incoherent babbling while he seemingly sobbed.
"Roy…" She says but he kept on babbling and hugged her tighter.
"Roy…"
"Roy…"
"Alright I'll help you!" She finally says with a loud sigh.
"Alright then we have lots to do then, and we need a solid plan of attack!" He says as he springs up and goes back to his normal self. Lucina just sighs again and follows him to the large table. It was going to be a LONG night…
*later*
The moon was now at its highest peak in the sky. Lucina suddenly jolted up from the short nap she apparently fell into. She found a duffel bag next to her filled with varies stealth gear. "Suit up!" Roy said firmly as he slid his mask over his face again concealing him once more. He was fully dressed in black now, and then put on a pair of night vision goggles over his mask. He explains his plan about a method that supposedly fixes time and rewrites things without anyone being none the wiser. But that its only for a small window of time, so it has to be quick and brief. "We have a long night ahead of us" he says as he walks out the cabin to give her some privacy.
When the cabin door opens again Lucina steps out in a full black clothing, and some night goggles of her own, she straps a long taser stick to her back while nodding towards the red head. "Alright lets get this over with" she proclaims.
"You know the fact that you already agreed to one of my big plans makes you 10% cooler than Marth!" He proclaims as he motioned her to follow. She sighs knowing that Marth was able to resist any attempts to be roped into Roy's schemes, but a final vital detail made her give in. Roy takes a hookshot gun out of his bag and shoots towards the roof, it stabs through the wall and extends little arms to get a firm grip of the wall while Roy tugs on it. Once he is sure its secure he starts climbing up the side of the mansion and motions for Luciana to do the same.
"Where'd you get all this stuff?" She asked while he just simply place a finger up to his lips.
"I know a guy who knew a guy, and he left some rather neat stuff behind, and also info on a lot of other neat stuff. Then it was just a simple case of acquiring said items, and lets just leave it at that." He whispered while motioning her to stop as a small window that seemed to be tinted, which was probably the only one like this in the mansion. He takes out a little device and begins to cut the glass with a lazer, he then gently pushed out the glass and set it aside while he crawled in through the hole he made. Once he was sure the coast was clear he motioned for Lucina to follow.
Once he was inside he popped the glass back where it belonged and lazered it back together, somehow. "What is this place?" She asked looking around the pitch black room with the aid of her night vision goggles. There seemed to be selves of very odd looking artifacts and jars of weird things in them, locked boxes, and weapon stands.
"This my friend, is Master Hands personal treasure room. Items from realms he took a liking to and collected as memorabilia" he whispers as he cautiously looked around astonished. However this made Lucina a little worried. "No-one knows this place exists, even the Elite Six have never been here, beside Mario." He whispered as he continued to scan the room in search of something.
"Then how do you know of it?" She whispered puzzled as he just scoffed.
"Well actually YL discovered it while he spied on our handy dandy friend back in the day due to rumors." He whispered back as he moved looked into the ominous room
"I really don't think we should be in here then, I have a really bad feeling about this!" She whispers harshly as she cautiously followed
"There it is!" he whispers excitedly pointing to a small chest on a lone shelf with chains around it that seemed to be made of bone. He takes out a lockpick and begins to pick the lock shaped like a skull. In an instant all the windows and doors are sealed shut behind large metal seals and an alarm goes off turning the room into flashes of red. They then feel the mansion start to rumble furiously as though something big was coming their way.
"WHO IN THE BLAZES!?" Came Master Hands demanding voice as the shaking grew more violent. At that point Lucina went into full panic mode.
"Roy for the love of NAGA HURRY UP!" She shouted while shaking him violently. He opens the chest flinging the lock aside that began to glow. He flings open the chest and takes out what appeared to be a dial looking thing.
"GRAB ON!" he shouts as the wall behind them begins to crumble. He reverses the dial while Lucina quickly places her hands on it and shuts her eyes. He raises his hand up into the air and smashes it down on the dial. In an instant they are both swallowed by a whirlpool of purple energy that spirals out of control and she looses sight of Roy in the mess.
The wall tears down and in comes flying Master Hand in his giant disembodied glove form. He was fuming and when he realised the intruders got away he turned a dark shade of black. "AAAAAAAAAARHG!" He shouts out in anger.
*one weird vortex trip later*
Lucina finally came out of the mist and landed in the middle of a flower field. She immediately sat up and began to hurl. Once it was all out of her system she slowly stood up wiping her mouth while breathing heavily. "Caw caw!" She randomly heard from within the flowers. "Cacaw caw caw!" She heard getting closer.
"Roy?" She called out confused and sure enough he stepped out of the flowers from behind her.
"There you are, come on we have to move!" He says grabbing her arm while running in the direction of the mansion, which was a few yards away. "Do you have the dial?" He says while she checked her pockets.
"Yeah oddly?" She says taking it out of her pocket. "Do you want it back?" She says as but he shook his head.
"No you keep it, you're less likely to be searched under suspicion if we get caught." He says coming to a halt near the large perimeter wall of the mansion. "Here" he says offering to give her a boost to get over the wall. And once she gets up she extends her hands down to help him up. Once they both scale the wall they land in some bushes and scope the place out with binoculars.
"Ok so when the dials time is almost up it will begin to ding, and jump a little forward in time. When this happens it means our time is up, we got to move fast if we are to succeed in changing anything." He says rather enthusiastically.
"Ok now comes the relatively easy part, just blend in and act as casual as you possibly can. Just remember one thing and that's don't run into yourself. Otherwise you'll open a massive can of worms tat we cant close." He says sternly as he begins to stealthily crawl out of the bush and heads towards the mansion she follows cautiously behind him. They sneak into a side window while avoiding the various mii's patrolling the outside of the mansion. At the same time time Lucia was trying to figure out exactly what date Roy had taken them to, which in turn will let her know of this trip was actually worth it or not.
The inside tho not as much was itself being patrolled by a few stoic faced mii's all in shifts around different locations. "I'm pretty sure you already know about Master Hands little puppets right, they use to look so much different ack in the day." Roy said as they were slowly going down the hall towards the main entrance.
"Where is everyone though?" Lucina asked curiously as the mansion seemed devoid of any and all smashers.
"If I understand correctly, you lot all went on a fun camping trip without me." Roy said with a slow sigh as he continued to scout ahead.
"Wait so then we're on the verge of your… And how did you get in?" She asked puzzled.
"Same way we did just now, only a little less clumsily" he replies casually while handing Lucina a little device with a small red button on it with a blinking green light. "Alright I need you stay here and hidden, keep a lookout for the arrival of everyone else. When you see the buses pull up push the button to alert me and meet me in the attic ok." He explains as she nods and hides behind a rather large statue of an alloy holding up a smash ball.
Roy begins to walk away while she keeps her gaze out towards the front. He takes out a little squirt gun and begins to load it with a goo of some sorts. Just then the PA system around the mansion comes on, "Smashers arrival in 30 minutes, repeat, smashers arrival in 30 minutes."
She lowered herself in her spot as a large group of Mii's came frantically marching down the halls. She positioned herself in such a way that a large portrait was reflecting the view of the window for her so she wouldn't be caught while keeping look-out. However just sitting there and doing nothing was really starting to bore her to no end. She found herself slowly drifting off albeit struggling to stay awake.
*Meanwhile*
Roy knew he needed a backup plan just in case and he had the perfect thing in mind. After all at this very moment he was watching himself put together one of his greatest prank masterpieces. When his other self finished with a prop and proceeded to his next work, Roy stealthily jumped down. He approached the giant log loaded with explosives on the inside. He disabled the wiring so it wouldn't explode. He then heard a loud commotion and his other self came running down the hall, he muttered to himself before opening a window and jumping out of it. Roy looks out towards the window facing the front of the mansion to see the buses start to pull up. He takes out a little device to notice Lucina hadn't even noticed, or at least notify him. He pushed the button on his device that began blinking profoundly, but received no indication she received his signal however. That meant that something could have possibly gone wrong. He saw his other self frantically running towards the shed with a large duffel bag on his back. He sighed and rushed off towards the front where he left Lucina at.
He found her, though it seemed nothing was wrong, at least on his end. She was fast asleep behind the large statue with the little device shaking beside her out of her reach. It seemed that when he signaled her it must have fell out of her hand that probably held it loosely. He was trying to sneak over towards her when the doors swung open and Smashers began jamming in.
He quicky composed himself and bolted down the hall towards the attic area where they were suppose to meet up. He was half panicked thinking the plan was going to fail since there were now going to be two Lucina's in the same place. It was time he activated his backup plan, if he remembered correctly his other self was nowhere near ready for his plan either. He raced over to Master Hands office where he pick locked his way in. He opened a secret compartment on MH's desk and took out a set of keys.
*meanwhile with Lucina*
She was jotted awake at that moment by the increasing noise. She quickly looked at the portrait to see the buses had in fact arrived and where already cleared of Smashers. She saw herself clumsily walking with Robin into the large crowded lobby. She remember at that point how awkward she use to be around him. Master Hand poofed into the room at that moment, all the while she prayed that she wouldn't get caught.
"Alright everybody settle down, settle down…" He says while everyone is still making a commotion of sorts. "Listen up you bastards!" He immediately retorts while everyone goes quiet and looks at him confused. All the while he awkwardly clears his throat before proceeding. "Erm sorry about the bastards thing, ANYWAY, everyone get settled in and meet back here so we can begin new scheduling. And also we should be getting a brand new face here today or tommorow!" He says while people being to murmur as he's making hand gestures shooing them away.
"Its not another psycho is it?" Falco speaks up while Lucas looks at him puzzled, all the while Mewtwo gave him that Mewtwo stare.
"Erm, no" Master Hand briefly responded as they cleared out and he headed towards his office.
At this point Lucina see's her other self going up the stairs with the others again awkwardly following Robin. It was a good time for her to make her escape and she dashed out of the lobby towards the back. She pressed the button on her little device while she immediately got a response afterwards. 'GET OUT' flashed twice on the little device before it stopped blinking. She thought about it for a second before she remembered the horrible events of what happened that day. She raced towards the back to the 'hidden entrance' Roy told her about before the inevitable happens.
*Meanwhile with Roy"
Master Hand was going through his papers at his desk before picking up a large binder. It slammed down on his desk and he opened it up while he quickly scrimmage through it. Suddenly an alarm went off for a second and Master Hand dropped what he was doing to look at the alarm. "What someone has breached the void room?!" He said in a frustrated manner, as it seemed future HM had alerted this HM of the happenings that have took place in the not so distant future. At his point he had requested the Elite Six head to the office ASAP.
Roy sat in the hidden room watching all this happen on a holographic orb while eating from a box of candy. He opened a large hidden compartment and took out another, apparently this was HM's large hidden snack compartment. For a giant grouchy deity it seemed as though he had a case of a sweet tooth. Roy needed a perfect opportunity to create some sort of distraction or something, something that will occupy both MH and the Six so much that he'll forget about the alert he sent to himself. The Six entered the large office while HM quickly stood from his desk.
"Alright an urgent matter has just popped up that requires the utmost attention!" He says sternly while pacing back and forth on front of them.
"Oh that might have been me…" Link said sheepishly while rubbing his arm slowly.
"You what?" MH asked sternly while Link glanced around nervously as he tugged on his collar.
"If you are referring to the strange smell coming from the basement, I might have accidentally set off a few stink bombs in there. So there is no need to be panicked, there isnt any gas leak or anything." He says while he awkwardly adjusted his hat. Meanwhile everyone just blankly stared at him with a poker face.
"Uhh no, no Link, that is not why I called you in here at all" MH briefly responds while Link just looked at everyone embarrassed.
"Oh, oh…" He begins while receiving blank stares. "Well I guess then nevermind, proceed on righty man." He says with an awkward chuckle.
"Alright then well anyway…" He begins but then briefly paused. "Hey what did I say about calling me righty!"
"Oh right, my bad righty" Link said while HM just blasted him through the door.
"Ahem, as I was saying there has been a breach within our ranks." He says while the Six turn and look at one another. "No I don't mean one of us per say, however the entire roster is to be investigated."
"That's all well and good sir, but what exactly are we looking for?" Zelda asks as he turns his back to them.
"I cant exactly give out all the details, however to sum it up. Plain and simple what you are to be looking for is a doppelganger." He responds while the Six look at each other with puzzled looks.
"How is this possible?" Samus asked as the gloved being picked up a few devices from his desk.
"As I said I can't really give out more details than what I've told you thus far however, These here little devices will help you locate and apprehend the perpetrator." MH explains while handing each of them a little device. "Now you'll know who it is when the little device goes off, which will occur when you are face to face with the imposter." He explains while Link stumbles back into the room and takes a little device. The thing immediately starts buzzing and emitting a high pitched alarm.
"ITS LINK GET HIM!" Samus instantly exclaims while she and the rest of the Six tackle Link to the floor and try to restraint him. However Links flight or fight instincts kick into overdrive and he chooses to stand his ground however. Soon a large brawl breaks out between them while MH hopelessly tried to break it up to no avail.
"Do not resists, you'll only make this harder!"
"Ow, no biting!"
"Hold on there's…"
"Im-a bout to-a beat you-a senseless with-a big bag of-a shrooms!"
"Smashers please settle…"
"I'VE BEEN FRAMED!"
"Samus not so rough, you'll break him!"
"This isn't the real Link, so I'm obligated to break him in half!"
"Smashers will you just listen!"
"I want my lawyer!"
"Eat-a this-a shroom you-a poser!"
"Ugh, that tastes like feet!"
"I just bought this pan and im not afraid to use it!"
"Listen!"
"Where is the real Link, speak while you still can you punk!"
"Will you guys just listen!"
"I got ways to make this thing talk!"
"Ah, wait! I can name fingers and point names!"
"ENOUGH!" Master Hand boomed while blasting them all towards the back wall.
"Im innocent and you cant prove it!" Link said while slowly getting up. "Erm, I mean I can prove it!" He says while the others where slowly getting up.
"No need" MH assured while talking the device from Link's hands. "You bafoons didn't let me explain the last feature while Link here unfortunately demonstrated, when you push this button on the side it will alert the others that you have found the perpetrator."
"Oh so Link's not a killer robot sent from the future to take over?" Peach spoke up while dusting herself off.
"Erm, no, he's not" MH assured them while they all awkwardly glance at each other. "Well all the other smashers must be gathering in the lobby this will be the perfect time to check their authenticity." He tells them while they all nod and begin heading out the door. "And for the love of everything that's holy, don't go pressing a button on accident!" He called out as the door closed and they disappeared down the hall. "I better not get some random sap rough up and dragged in here, I mean it!" He calls out as the doors finished closing. Master Hand just sighs slumping his shoulders and taking a weird pocket watch looking thing out of his pocket. "So tell me future self, who exactly am I looking for?" He says to himself while tuning the thing around.
Roy at this point was slowly stroking his chin. "Those little devices Master Hand gave the Six could potentially ruin this entire operation." He thinks to himself as he watched Crazy come skipping into the room with an comedic large twirly lollipop. At this point a gigantic light bulb went off in the red heads mind. He pressed a button on the orb he was staring at making the hidden door to the hidden control room open slightly. At this point Crazy noticed and slowly wheeled his tricycle into the large back room.
"Hey there bud, remember me, its your old pal!" Roy said from the far back dark corner of the room. He slowly steps into the light while Crazy stepped off his tricycle.
"Your not one of the toys we get to play with this tournament" Crazy responds while he look an overly long dramatic lick from his lollipop.
"Yeah that is correct, BUT!" He says doing a dramatic pause which causes the gloved being to listen intently. "I come from the future to bring you a special gift!" He says excitedly while taking out a little gift wrapped box to show the gloved being.
"OoOoOoO!" Crazy says excitedly while he dropped his lollipop on the floor. It bounced around for a bit before laying still on the floor, the thing seemed to be made of rubber like a bouncy ball.
"Ah, ah, ah!" Roy says hold up his finger while Crazy hoped excitedly in front of him. "Before you get your big gift you need to play a little game first!" Roy says putting the gift away.
"I lOvE tO pLaY gAmEs!" Crazy says excitedly while he began tp shake uncontrollably.
"Good first things first, we need to put your brother in time out or he wont let us have any fun!" Roy says with a pout while Crazy turned his head to the side dramatically.
"Wait, brother said not to trust people who wanna put him away…" He says while tapping his palm/chin with a finger in thought.
"Oh come on you can trust me im your friend remember, and ill prove it to you!" He says as he opened up Master Hand's large hidden snack storage. Crazy looked at all the sweets in awe as he began to drool a literal rainbow waterfall. "Do you believe me now?" He says with a grin while Crazy just nodded his head back and forth aggressively while he started to giggle excessively loud. "But before that happens" Roy says closing the door while Crazy looked at him as he continued to drool. "You'll have to play the game by my rules if you want the GRAND PRIZE" Roy says as Crazy nodded aggressively again and warped the room upside down in excitement. "Ok first we put bro out there in a time out, then you need to unlock that big orb over there for me, then we will play a very excited game of fetch!" Roy said and then opened up the closet again. "Go ape shit!" He said as Crazy ran into the snack stash while screaming like a maniacal monkey.
Master Hand walked in eventually wondering what all the commotion was about and found the room turned upside down, LITERALLY. He spotted all the wrappers littered around the floor and immediately panicked he had to find his brother and fast! As the last time he went on a sugar rush the 'Day of Destruction' incident occured. He was about to leave the room when the magical cage that was suppose to be for Crazy fell on him trapping him inside. He saw Crazy crawling around on the ceiling before landing in front of the cage cackling uncontrollably.
"CRAZY! Release me at once you know better then to eat sugar!" he said to his brother who didn't seem to be listening.
"WhY WhOuLd I dO such a tHiNg BROOOOOTHER!" he responded back and resumed cackling like a maniac. He then pulled out what appeared to be a hybrid of a chainsaw and a flame thrower. "I'm jUsT GEtTinG sTaRtEd I waNt tO hAvE soMe fUn wItH tHe tOys!" he exclaims and ripped out of his human force into his normal giant floating glove form. He rushed into Master Hands personal control room again and as Roy instructed unlocked it. He started messing with everything there, soon the computerized voice started saying 'Error' over and over.
"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO CRAZY COME BACK HERE AT ONCE!" He demanded again banging his hands against the cage though it was no use, it was after all made to hold a gloved being from escaping he could only hope towards the smashers now for salvation.
He was so focused on his rampaging brother that he didn't notice Roy sneak back into his personal control room and seal it off completely concealing it. After all none knew of its location.
"Oh I aLmOsT fOrGoT!" Crazy piped up and began crawling like a spider towards the cage. "YoU gEt To gO iN mY tOy BoX!" He says and began to crawl around the cage at extreme speeds.
"No Crazy, NOOOOOOOooooooooo!" Master Hand yelled as he faded away.
"Ok now we're in business!" Roy exclaims as he bean to laugh like a maniac. Crazy crawled into the room by fazing through the wall and began crawling around everywhere. "Ok but now you need to retrieved 2 clues to begin the exciting hunt!" Roy says as Crazy crawled towards him excitedly. "Are you ready!" He says as Crazy began to hop in front of him overly excited. "Ok bud the first one is in the basement, and the other one is in the Elite Six's control room, now go get em pal!" Roy exclaims excitedly pointing towards the door as Crazy took off crawling and fazed through the door out of sight. "Now lets give our little friend the advantage!" Roy says as he activated lockdown mode and cut the lights. "This will definitely buy us time and solve some of our big problems." He hears Crazy seconds later emit a maniacal cackle that echoed throughout the mansion…
*Meanwhile with Lucina*
She was cautiously making her way towards the back but was abruptly disrupted, all the smashers were now flocking back towards the entrance. She hid herself in a nerby lounge and hit behind a door hoping no-one will go through it. It felt like she was there for a good hour before all the noise moved away from her. She heard all the noise coming from the front end meaning they all must have gathered there by now. She began to cautiously make her way down the halls again towards her escape. When she found the hidden entrance, which just happened to be a fire exit that nobody used, the unthinkable happened… Again.
The shutters for the windows and doors suddenly closed trapping everyone inside the mansion with no way out. Everyone up front went quiet at once in an instant wondering what was going on. Just when things couldn't get any worse the lights shut off completely. "No, no, no! Not this again!" Lucina groaned to herself being left in complete darkness.
*Meanwhile*
Crazy hand found a little post it on the fuse box in the basement. However it seemed like it was glued on there as he couldn't get it off. He completely tore the thing to shreds taking it off. "Oopsie!" He says to himself and tried to put the thing back together as best he could, but in reality he just made it worse. He then read the little note. "To unlock the grand prize you must first find these little devices" it read showing a sketch of said device (the ones Master Hand gave to the Six) "to find out who has them go to the control room!" The note said at the bottom. Crazy Hand quickly crawled towards said location fazing through walls and floors. Once he got there he couldn't find the note so he tore the machines apart. Eventually finding it under a chair, it read: "you must find Link, Zelda, Marth, Samus, Peach and Mario for the devices to unlock the grand prize! P.S remember to destroy the device and put them away so you don't have to look for them again!" He began to jitter with excitement and then sped off in look for his targets…
*Peach and Mario*
Mario started heading down the hall with Peach holding his hand and walking cautiously down the hall. She didn't like the sound of that laugh earlier as it sent chills down her spine. It definitely didn't sound like something the smashers have heard before raising the Six's suspicion about the culprit. Mario was illuminating the hall by holding a fireball in his hands as they continued forward. They had to venture through the cafeteria to get to Master Hand, it was after all the fastest route there. Mario cautiously opened the large doors to the cafeteria making them squeak slowly as they opened; they both entered and started to head towards the back door when they heard some shuffling behind them. They looked but nothing was there so they stop to look around, suddenly Mario's fire went out and he disappeared. Crazy had trapped him in a bubble and took him below the ground. He found the device in his pocket and crushed it to dust while Crazy crawled around him at extreme speeds. "Mama MIAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa!" Mario exclaimed as he too was faded out of existence.
Peach however starts panicly feeling around for the red clad plumber beginning to worry. "Mario? Mario?! where are you!?" She asks still trying to look around, she lit a small candle she had in the kitchen for some light and resumed her search. She saw the place was deserted no Mario to be seen around anywhere. "Mario stop playing around we have a job to do!" she demands albeit in a shaky voice. Little did she know that Crazy was circling around her like a hungry shark. She suddenly feels Crazy breathing down her neck heavily sending chills down her spine. She slowly turns around while she trembled but saw no one there. Which made her start freaking out, "M-M-Mario t-t-that's not f-f-f-f-funny!" she exclaims as her heart started pounding in her chest. She turns again and then saw him, Crazy began to crawl towards her in a distorted hand form that wiggled and contorted as it crawled. She drops her candle at the sight of him and stood there frozen in fear. Crazy quickly takes ahold of her dragging her into the dark. She lets out a high pitched scream as she is dragged under the ground same as Mario. Crazy locates her device and reduces it to dust as he makes Peach fade away as well.
*Meanwhile in a undisclosed location…*
"Oof!" Mario exclaimed as he landed on what appeared to be a cushiony surface. Infact he was surrounded by nothing but cushions, he began to crawl his way out of of cushions.
"Mario? Is that you?" He suddenly heard Master Hand, he poked his head out and saw him in a cage in the middle of a large vacant room.
"What-a happened to-a you?" Mario said approaching the cage.
"Long story short, Crazy is loose on a sugar rush, and he managed to get me before I could get to him" MH explained with a sigh.
"We need-a to get out-a here and tell-a the others" Mario says trying to open the cage to no avail.
"I would if I could but this cage renders me powerless, unless we can get that lock off. Which can only be done by unlocking it as its indestructible." MH says while he slumped his shoulders with a sigh. They soon hear a muffled scream come from within the cushions. Mario rushes over and soon he sees a hand poke out which he grabs and soon pulls Peach out of the cushions.
"Mario what happened?" She exclaims worried and soon sees Master Hand in the cage. "Is that Master Hand?!" She asks puzzled while Mario sighed.
"It's-a long story princess…"
*Samus and Zelda*
Both female smashers were currently heading down the hall that lead to the basement, Samus lighting the way with her suit and Zelda using her magic to hold some Din's fire in her palm. When suddenly a loud high pitched scream of terror echoed throughout the mansion and they both halted. "That was Peach!" Zelda said panicly, she turns to rush down the hall until Samus planed hed hand on her shoulder halting her.
"No, we should stick to our mission. Remember last time this happened she got spooked by Pichu hiding under a table cloth." Samus reminded the Hylian Princess who still looked uneasy about the situation.
"I suppose you are right" She agrees with a sly shrug against her better judgment, they both resume their journey to the basement where the fuse box is at.
They both soon spot the worn out door and slowly opened it as it created a soft creaking sound. They started descending down the steps towards the deep dark basement. When they reach the bottom and before they could head towards the fuse box they heard a noise behind the black door. "These people don't seem to understand when I say everyone it also includes them!" Samus grumbled to herself and marched towards the back room.
"I thought I told you guys to stay in your… rooms?" Samus started out angrily and then turned confused when no one was actually in there. "Rats" she murmured to herself and shook her head the room was a mess after all.
"S-Samus you better come see this" Zelda said from the other side of the room and she headed over towards the Hylians location.
"There was no one in there probably just rats." Samus said sternly and shrugged while Zelda showed her what she needed to see.
"Yeah giant rats!" Zelda said as she illuminated the fuse box that was hacked up with the wires sprawled out all over the place, like if a child were to have tried to play electrician.
"My scans are coming up negative on it being anyone we know..." Samus said afterwards which started to worry the Hylian princess.
"You can repair it though right?" Zelda asked her, to which she nodded and changed her blaster into a soldering tool.
"Yeah I've dealt with worse before" she said as she got to work trying to get everything back in order again. "huh, looks like some sort of external force has over written all controls here" She says to herself as she takes some of the wires from in her hand inspecting them. "Maybe if I alter the power source to feed off, this here, the overide function will disable!" She states to herself as she ripped some wires out and replaced everything connecting certain spots to different locations however.
Meanwhile Zelda was looking around the basement for any clues as to what had brutally assaulted the fuse box. Samus was about to finish when Crazy rushed behind her and she quickly turned activating her nova beam. She was looking around while also changing visors for any signs of the assailant but everything came up negative, maybe her imagination she thought. She got back to work and managed to finish shortly afterwards and then turned to tell the news to Zelda. "Hey I'm finished, now we need the guys in the control room to reboot the system." She told the Hylian who nodded as Samus took out her Smash cell and dialed Marth. "Damn!" She says banging her fist against the wall as Zelda turned to her.
"What's wrong?" She says heading over to look at the phone screen.
"All signals within the mansion have been cut, we can't reach them from here, and what's worse all phones deactivated." She says as the screen turned off and Zelda pulls hers out to see indeed they were all remotely deactivated. "We're going to have to go up there and tell them ourselves" She says and they start heading towards the stairs to meet up with the guys in the control room. Little did they notice Crazy was slowly crawling on the roof waiting to pounce on them.
When they were halfway up however he rushed over and grabbed Zelda's leg and she panicked immediately.
"Samus something's got my leg!" she quickly shouted and Samus instantly turns around and took a hold of Zelda with her grapple beam. The grapple beam illuminates the staircase that reveals a white pulsating mass that had some sort of long arm around Zelda's leg. It started to consume her slowly as Samus was struggling to pull Zelda back up. "Samus!" Zelda worriedly screams as it had slowly consumed her down to her knees by now. She takes ahold of one of Zelda's arms while she continued to try and pull her up with the grapple beam. Zelda slowly started to slip from her grasp and she could only stare down at her wide eyes full of fear.
"Don't worry I got you, I'm not letting go!" Samus grunted as she struggled, but Zelda kept on slipping. She then is completely ripped from her grasp and dragged down the stairs in a blink of an eye. Crazy quickly and swiftly took her device and crumbled it and faded her away before moving on to his next target.
Samus couldn't even comprehend what just happened there as she stared at Zelda's glove that slipped off. She couldn't even breathe before she heard Crazy charging up the stairs again and she quickly exited the basement barricading the door as well. She takes off as he rammed against the door, she begins heading up the stairs when her suit powers off and crumbles at her feet. "What the hell!?" She exclaims angrily as she was now more defenseless without it. Also without realizing that her suit crumbled unto the little device crumbling it. Which only left Marth and Link with one now.
*Meanwhile with Roy*
Earlier, "hmm, these guys using their weapons might be a bit of a problem" he says as his voice slightly echoed as he peered at a giant hologram that ejected from a sphere on a stand. "I can help with that, don't worry my destructive deity friend you'll have your fun." He swipes right activating a certain trigger, Roy cackles to himself maniacally. That is of course until he was pulled to the ground by the sword on his back. "Oh come on!" He exclaims to himself struggling to get back up. "I should of thought this through more!"
He got up after unlatching the sword from himself and went back to looking at the orb to see how his plan was going.
*Link, Marth and Samus*
They arrive to see the door was hanging from its hinges, as it appeared that something had just previously bursted out of the place. They enter cautiously and on high alert, the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime no doubt it will do so. They all started to calm after nothing showed up until they started to hear an echoing whisper that kept going on giving the guys chills. Crazy Hand crawled along the walls stocking his victims while waiting to make a move.
"Toys…"

"Toooooooys..."
He was whispering to himself as he eyed his target that he isolated from the others. Link and Marth armed themselves with large wood chucks that was once Master Hands Desk. Crazy extended index finger and took a hold of Links leg and dragged him into the back room. Marth and Samus tried chasing after the Hylian but crazy was to put into context 'crazy fast.' They rushed after he poor Hylian who was screaming all high pitched while the others tried to reach him.
"SEE I told you!" he says flapping down the room, "the funny guys always goes FIIIIIIIIIIIRST!" he exclaimed before he was dragged away from view and completely vanished. Crazy hand fazed him through the wall crushing the little device and fading him out as well. The other two searched the back room but there was nothing in there no signs of anything or anyone. They then heard the noise of what appeared to be chains rattling and they cautiously approached the door the sound was coming from. Crazy was at that time dragging a chain of lollipops on the floor and through the wall to re-energize his craziness. Samus Placed her hand on the door handle and they both nodded as she turned and slowly opened the door. They open it to reveal a supply closet that looked like it once contained snacks of all sorts, except it was completely looted as it was littered with all sorts of empty containers and wrappers.
*Random hall*
Crazy was crawling down a dark hall finishing the last of his lollipop chain. Just then a random flashlight caught his attention and he bagan crawling towards it. He saw Toon Link bragging to himself while Crazy tapped his index finger on the wall in thought. "Did that toy get out of my toybox?" He says to himself in a shrill voice. He thought it impossible as only he can access his toybox. He just shrugged to himself and quickly sped towards the clueless little hero.
He was going to continue onwards until Crazy just so happened to be behind him breathing obnoxiously loud on the little Hylian. He turns around to tell the person to shut it but when he saw who or in this case WHAT it was scared him out of his mind. He ended up swallowing his gum in fright that also didn't allow him to call for help as he gagged on it, Crazy however wrapped itself around him and dragged him off into the shadows making him drop his gum pack and flashlight. Fazing through the wall and fading him into his toybox. "And stay put this time!" He huffs as he quickly crawled off. Just as Lucina and her small group rounded the corner.
*meanwhile with present Lucina*
After her initial failure to escape the mad house, again, she equipped her night vision goggles. She thankfully kept them with her and she was still in her completely black camo gear. Her being detected or even spotted was very slim, her memory of this night was a little hazy, however she remembers enough to know where NOT to go. In case something was to go horribly wrong Roy instructed her to go towards the attic which had a large round window. Not only that but the lockdown mechanism was flawed on it and one could simply manually open it to escape.
She rounded the corner to came face to face with Crazy, in his human form oddly enough. She felt her heart sink as she remember just how out of control he was. His palm slit open to reveal a rather overly dramatic and large grin. He probably intended it to be innocent but in reality it looked super creepy. "Finally the last toy before I get my prize!" He squealed as his grin grew and he began walking towards her with open arms. Lucina was slowly backing away frantically trying to come up with an escape plan. "No, no, be a nice toy and hold still, don't make this harder on youuuu!" He squeals while picking up his pace and she turns around and goes into a fun sprint away from the insane deity. He rips out of his human form and begins to quickly crawl after her. She quickly picked up her pace when she heard the loud thumps of his fingers getting closer.
She dove into a small chute while he crashed into the wall full force and cracked it a little. "yOu WoNt GeT aWaY tHaT eAsY!" He screeches and he quickly crawled off. She breathed a heavy sigh of relief having dodge a bullet, or in this case a freaking cannon ball. The chute landed her in the laundry room on top of a pile of bed sheets. She was about to get up when they began to move and that's when she realised she hand landed right into the hands of Crazy, or in this case the one hand. Before she could escape he had wrapped his fingers around her completely constricting her. Though she tried to struggle and break free it was of no use, she was well within his mercy now.
"Crazy you got the wrong one" she suddenly heard a voice.
"Hmmmph!?" She muffled out as loud as she could upon learning it was Roy's voice.
"bUt I wAnT tHiS tOy!" Crazy whines while shaking up and down.
"Well you can have any toy you want just not this one," Roy tries to reason with him.
"But I want it!" Crazy whines again while slamming his body/fist into the ground repeatedly.
"Well you can't because, um, well because it my toy," Roy explains but the hand just kept whining.
"But I want it!" Crazy once again whines while shaking all around. "Brother always says we have to share!" He says
"Yes he did, and for that very reason I have a proposition for you!" Roy says eagerly finally catching the hands attention.
"YeEEEeeSSss?" The hand lifting his index and pinkie fingers like as if they were ears.
"So there is another toy JUST like this one, maybe even better! And you can have it all to yourself if you promise to leave this one alone." Roy says excitedly while Crazy began tapping his index finger on the floor in thought.
"dEaL! i ThInK tHiS oNe Is BrOkEn AnYwAy" he says releasing Lucina and quickly crawling away "toys, toys, toooys!" He began to cackle to himself. Lucina stood up and tumbled around being in a haze from being shook around so much.
"What just happened?!" She says as she kept falling over while trying to stand.
"Well, you wont have to worry about him anymore that's for sure..." Roy assures her while she looked around the room for said red head.
"Where are you?" She asks as she bagan to get a more stable footing.
"I am neither here or there, but elsewhere," he calmly explains.
"Huh?" She says as she sees a purple orb floating above her.
"It's best we get a move on, the worst of it is yet to come, trust me I'd know!" He says as the orb disintegrates. Lucina sighs and heads out of the laundry room and begins going up the stairs but then stops abruptly. Well Roy said there are things they can help prevent well she was going to make the most of it. She goes back down the steps and sprints off towards the back of the mansion, she owes it to herself to at least try to prevent impending mess that was yet to come.
She stops at the end of a long hall as she runs into her other self. However as they continued on they hadn't realized Lucina was stocking them from the shadows. They however kept on wondering the halls to see if they could locate the Hylian or any sign of him. They figure they're getting closer because later on they spotted his hat laying carelessly on the ground of another hall. Lucina split of from the group shortly thereafter and began running around them towards a different hall. She spots Rosalina, Viridi and Palutena standing outside a large lounge keeping lookout. "Im going to check on the Luma to see if he is still ok in his little hiding spot." Rosalina says pushing open the large doors and heading in. But she failed to notice an unexpected guest crawl in from above after her.
Lucina saw the whole thing from afar and began making her way around towards the back entrance. As quickly as she could and took out a little crossbow and loaded a bolt into it. She spotted the cosmic princess opening comforting her Luma in the far back while it cooed. All the while she failed to see Crazy slowly circle her from above.
"DiDnT I pUt tHiS tOy AwAy AlReAdY?" Crazy pondered as he began crawling ever so slowly towards her. "Second times the charm me suppose!" He says as he moved in for his snatch. At this point Lucina had set herself up to intercept his grab. She shot off a bolt that struck a large metal bin near the door. A loud metallic clank quickly followed and both the princess and the hand looked over. Crazy had lost his focus at that moment and his opportunity for a snatch was thwarted and he circled around for another attempt. Rosalina opens the door to check on the goddesses on the other side. "You guys knocked?" Rosalina said as she poked her head out the large door. The goddesses look at one other before shaking their heads in confusion. Just then Crazy rushed at her full speeds and the three turn to face his direction after hearing the loud thumps. He quickly and swiftly takes ahold of Rosalina and drags her off as quickly. The other two however get frozen in fear as Rosalina let out a loud shrill scream.
She heard the other Lucina and the group she was with quickly coming down the hall. She quickly got up and gave chase to Crazy however. At this point he had completely engulfed the princess in his palm. He enters the Library and began climbing up the wall using his index and thumb while holding Rosalina with his other three fingers. Lucina quickly loads another bolt and shoots it straight at his pinky. Crazy quickly turns around opening up his hand from the sudden pinch he received. At this point Lucina began trying to deceive the hand to try to get the Princess free from his grasp. She began to launch bolts around at the large metal bookshelves to split his focus. He began tossing Rosalina up and down while trying to pinpoint the clanks all around him.

Eventually Rosalina managed to grab ahold of the large chandelier above. Crazy looked up and frowned internally and floated up and used his index finger and thumb to grab her and try to pry her loose. But she had a very tight grip on it and refused to let go. He eventually grabbed unto the chandelier around her and began to shake it. It began to wabble and even began to come loose from its support. All the while Lucina had gathered the bolts she had previously launched and loaded up another. She shot it straight at him hitting his thumb and making him let go. She then shot another out the open door making it hit something off in the halls. At that point crazy forgot about the cosmic princess and slithered across the floor after the sounds Lucina was creating.
Rosalina was still clinging unto the chandelier for dear life. But at that point the Bluenette and gloved being forgot about her.
Lucina quickly went out into the halls after Crazy so she can steer him away from anymore smashers. But halfway down the corridor she looses sight of him and has to double back and go look for him.
She then sees Robin and the swordman group all huddled in a group. She bagan running towards them and was about to call out but stopped herself when she realised it wouldn't be the best idea should she been seen. Well with her other self being down another corridor and all.
She needed them to move and fast as she knew time was of the essence. She took out the small crossbow again and aimed it down the hall from them. She shot off the little bolt that blew bast them and struck a large bronze statue ways away. They all turn around flashing their lights further down the corridor. "W-w-what was that?" Pit said shakingly.
"I don't know, but maybe we should check it out in case its the one we're looking for." Ike said
"Excellent suggestion Ike, you first!" Robin pipes up shoving the mercenary forwards.
"Wha…?" He says stumbling forward. "Yo I didn't agree to this!" He complains while crossing his arms in defiance.
"Well you are the biggest and bulkiest of us all here, so if we have you leading the charge our chances of success are more than guaranteed!" Robin proclaimed while they other guys quickly backed him up while noding their heads furiously.
"A marvelous suggestion!"
"He's got a point!"
"Makes sense!"
"I see this as an absolute win!"
"Well how about Pit?! He's small and nimble and can scout ahead and easily escape!" Ike suggested shoving the angel forward.

"H-h-hey!" He said trying to get back into the huddle but the others wouldn't let him through. "Well what about Shulk, he can literally see what's going to happen before ot happens, if anyone should lead the charge its him!" Pit exclaims shoving the Monado wielder forwards.
"A marvelous suggestion!"
"He's got a point!"
"Makes sense!"
"Hold on, I don't see this as an absolute win!" Shulk protests while trying to get back into the huddle with no success however. "Yo guys Robin is literal walking thinking machine, if ANYONE shiuld lead the charge its the man, the legend, Robin!" Shulk proclaims while shoving the tactician forward.
"A horrendous suggestion!"
"He's got a point!"
"Makes sense!"
"I see this as an absolute win!"
"If i may" Robin says holding up a finger, "I would like to suggest a small proposal." He said nonchalant while the others just raised their eyebrows. "Rock, paper, scissors!" He says holding his hands out. The other guys just looked at each other and nooded getting in a circle getting ready to play.
"Best out of three!" Shulk says as they all began smacking their palms
"Seriously guys MOVE!" Lucina was screaming internally watching then just stand there. That is until she saw him.
*Crazy POV*
"The double layered fudgcicle stick on a hot Midwestern dry summer day out in the country was I doing?!" He thought to himself as he took out his 'hit list' that was scribbled on with crayon. "Oh yeah looking for pretty boy toy!" He says as he began crawling forwards until he heard the sound of hands being slapped on palms repeatedly. He quickly began running along the roof towards the sound. He sees the group all intensity caught up in their game while he watches from above. He looks at the group and then back at his hit list and then back at the group. "Hmmm, are one of you pretty boy?" He says tapping his index finger in thought. "mE tInKs So!" He says as he began to slowly crawl towards them from above.
"AHA Pit looses!" Everyone says while the angel just pouted. "AWwWwWwHhHh nOoOoOo!" He whine while the group nudges him forwards and make him proceed with hand gestures. Just then however Robin is grabbed from the legs very slowly.
"Oh… I did not plan for this unfortunate turn of events..." He says rather calmly before being dragged off.
"ROBIN! NOOO!" they all shout in unison and go after the tactician. They were all running furiously after him and quickly catching up. They all extend they're arms ready to grab unto him.
Until all three of them collided head first into a wall Robin was seemingly pulled into. All the while Crazy faded him away despite not finding a little device on him. He then crawled off in search of his final two targets Marth and Samus.
Lucina hurried down the hall and skitted to a stop after making a full circle and seeing Crazy crawling back into the library. "Oh not good!" She exclaims and quickly goes after him. Not too soon afterwards she heard what seemed to be someone shouting. He spots Pit and Viridi in between some shelves with Viridi kicking up a storm directed towards Pit. All the while Crazy was slowly approaching them, she tried to load another bolt quickly in hopes of saving them. However the little crossbow seemed to have gotten jammed. Lucina silently cursed to herself and just tossed the thing aside. She searched her pockets of her camo suit for anything she could use to help. All the while it seemed like Pit and Viridi where in the small argument of sorts.
"Was that the same toy as last time?!" Crazy thought to himself in confusement he just groaned in confusion. He started creeping forwards slowly, at that point Pit took off running full throttle screaming at the top of his lungs and bolting through the door.
"Ugh, Can you believe that guy?!" Viridi said with an angry pout stomping a foot on the ground and crossed her arms, Crazy stood right behind her breathing obnoxiously loud
"ToOoOoOoOoOys!" was the last thing she heard before being immediately engulfed so fast she didn't even make a sound.
*Lucina POV*
"So that's what happened…" Lucina said with a blank expression. She then pulls out a sort of glow stick looking device and whistles. Crazy turns around as soon as he finished fading away the goddess. "Come look at the pretty lights" she says waving it around having caught his attention. She leaves out the back door again with Crazy quickly crawling off after the light.
She makes lures him a good yards away before she sees a group in the rec room she was heading towards. She comes to a halt quickly trying to decide what to do. She say Dark Link and Pittoo waving their flashlight all around as if they were having a sword fight. All the while Bowser and DTL encouraged them further. "Pittoo no, turn it oof!" She panickly shouts to herself. Before she could make a move however Crazy came barreling down the hall and trampled her heading towards the lights.
"This toy again?!" Crazy groaned to himself as he passed by her. He collided with them full blast knocking them all down. He quickly takes Dark Link and drags him away from the others.
"WHAT THE FUUU…?!" Dark Link shouts before being fazed through the the wall. The others who were with him just started attacking the wall, looking for any soft spots.
Just then Lucina heard the other group quickly approaching and she quickly got up and hid behind a curtain. She held her breath as the group came rushing past her into the rec room where they all just stood there discussing the situation.
"Hey it's Dark Link!" DTL spoke up and rushed towards the end of the hall but there was something off about the situation. But no one was able to halt the little Hylian that bolted down the hall at top speeds and disappear "What the hell is this?!" Lucina heard him exclaim followed by a loud commotion and the group immediately rushed forward getting in battle stances.
She quickly slipped away at that point heading away from them. She quickly takes out another glow stick thing as she lost the previous one.
*Crazy POV*
"Stay put this time!" Crazy says to himself as he finished fading Dark Link away. Crazy then Crawls out of the wall in a different spot. He holds out the little glow stick thing he got earlier that only seemed to be glowing red from the tips now.
"Hey it's Dark Link!" Crazy hears as he sees DTL running towards him.
"GAH, JUST STAY IN THE BOX ALREADY!" Crazy says to himself frustratingly. When DTL approached he quickly grabbed him and fazed through the wall and faded him away twice as fast as the others. "I wanna play a new game!" Crazy proclaimed as he crawled off.
*Lucina POV*
Lucina stumbled around fatigued, it has been nothing but running back and forth this whole time. Not only that but she had completely lost track of Crazy. She hears a loud scream coming from the front shortly after, she was about to head that way when she heard a large group heading that way. Followed by a very LOUD commotion as well, so it was best she she'd away from it. A loud buzzing suddenly sounded throughout the mansion before the lights flickered on. Lucina however was straight up stuck in the middle of the mansion, basically leaving her exposed and out in the open. At that point she had changed out of her camo suit into her normal attire as to not stick out.
"CRAZY!" a loud booming voice echoed throughout the mansion. She new it was over now, well at least the first half. She quickly rushed towards the back towards the hidden entrance, it was time she got out of there for real this time.
*Meanwhile with Roy*
"You served me well destructive deity, you served me well. That deal we made was well worth it however, your usefulness has ran its course." Roy said as he grinned from ear to ear. "Gave me plenty of time to execute my Ultimate Plan!" He cackles as he pressed a series of buttons. "I've spent three days on this its my greatest work!" He begins cackling louder as a mechanical voice came overhead: mansion prank settings activated.
*Lucina*
She hurried down the hall and stopped briefly watching Master Hand take Crazy away in a cage. He entered his office and snapped his fingers making everything go back into place. She sees Roy sneaking out of his office with a bucket labeled Ultraglue in bright red letters. He quickly heads into the elevator out of sight. She quickly follows and sees we went off towards the 4th floor. Just then a loud commotion started coming from the lobby… Again…
Meanwhile in a unknown location
Roy appeared after safely teleporting out of the control room holding a large bucket and a paint brush, "Now, let the games BEGIN!" He exclaims and paints two black lines on his face and runs off. He spots his other self coming out of the elevator with a device with a large red button on it cackling to himself.
"Wow that blackout let me finish everything perfectly! Luckily no-one bothered coming up to the top floors heh." He says to himself pressing the button, and shortly thereafter a loud commotion came from the lobby.
*back with Lucina*
A loud frustrating yell echoed throughout the mansion and beyond shaking everything like an earthquake. Not only that but the lights flickered violently as they shook. The Six had been abruptly teleported into Master Hands office where he erupted.
"Bring me Toon Link at once!" He boomed while the Six quickly scurried out of his office towards the commotion in the lobby. She hid behind a large curtain as they headed off before heading off herself.
"Lucina!" She hears from behind her and turns to see Ike and Shulk frantically running at her. Unsure of what to think she just stood frozen in her tracks. "Quick follow us we know of a shortcut to the side exit!" Ike said motioning her to follow.
"Ike wait hold on!" She quickly stops him and they both turn to look at her puzzled. "You are better off heading towards the auditorium, its your best bet." She quickly informs him while Shulk and him exchange glances.
"And how would you know this?" Shulk asked while Lucina just shifted awkwardly.
"No time to explain, but trust me that's an order from Master Hand." She says while they just glance at each other again.
"How can we be sure your… "
"Marth…" Lucina quickly pipes up while the other two glance at each other again and nod.
"Eh fair enough, not gonna argue with that..." Ike shrugged and they moved onwards.
"Oi?!" Shulk quickly says as his foot gets stuck on the floor. "What's all this then?" He says trying to pry his foot loose, but before he could a giant boxing glove on a spring shot out of the box and punched him through the roof.
"Ouch…" Ike and Lucina say in unison as they see the pieces of rubbled littering the floor where Shulk once stood.
"Well we wont be seeing him again" Ike shrugged and began walking away while Lucina just looked up at the hole in the ceiling.
"Im sure he'll find his way," she says and heads off after the other bluenette.
"Ooooooh chips!" Ike says seeing a random bag of chips just laying in a corridor.
"IKE WAIT DON'T!" Lucina exclaims but it was too late he ad already picked them up. They hear a loud crack coming from under the floor while Ike looked back at her worried. "Ike don't move a muscle" she says while the cracking stopped momentarily. He then opens the bag much to her disbelief, and the floor underneath him gives out. "IKE!" She screams and rushes forwards but stops when she realised it was too late for him. He feel into what seemed to be a overly large tank of water. He surfaces shortly afterwards holding up his bad of chips with a grin.
"Im ok!" He says until they both hear what sounded like teeth clattering. They both then notice the tank was completely filled with piranhas. "Mommy…" He says before they completely engulf him while he screams like a little girl
"Ike hold on!" She says panickly looking around for anything of use. When she just so happens to find a lever. She decided to pull it because at this point why not right. Well a large flushing sound his heard and soon Ike and the Piranhas start twirling around. The water level lowers until Ike and the Piranhas are all flushed away. All the while Lucina just stood there in disbelief.
"Ah there you are, right?" She hears behind her and slowly turns to see Roy standing there.
"What the hell was that?!" She says pointing towards the giant empty bowl in the floor.
"Ah yes I called this one 'the goldfish experience!' Good stuff…" He says with a sigh while she stares at him confused.
"Anyway, there isn't much time to stand here and admire my works of art, I will meet you in the backyard, we need to clear out before our timer is out!" He says and clawshots his way across the hole and takes off.
She walks off and turns to see a big net dangling there. Upon closer inspection she saw it had herself, Sonic and Mega Man trapped within. She then sees R.O.B slowly coming down the corridor and she throws a piece of debris his way. She quickly hides behind a statue watching him come down the corridor and spot the trapped smashers in the net, which he promptly rescues. All the while she sneaks off down the corridor all towards the back, it was time to go.
She turns a corner seeing the door well within her sights. That is until she bumps into Marth coming the opposite side. "Oh Lucina I'm glad you've managed to find your way unscathed, but there's been a change of plan, we have to head towards the audito-"
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
The noise sudden came from Marth as he took out a little device. All the while all the color drained from her face. "Oh my apologies I must of…" he stops abruptly and looks up from the device slowly
"Y-you?!" He blurts out in disbelief. While she held up a hand while slowly backing away.
"Now Marth hold on… I can explain!" She quickly says as he continued to stare in disbelief.
"You?!" He says again in a shocked and shakey voice
"Wait, hold on im only here because Roy-"
"Roy?!" He exclaims in disbelief, "you should know better than to listen to Roy!" He exclaims while frantically pacing back and forth. "Hold on!" He quickly exclaims while halting his pacing. "Roy is back?!" He says confused.
Lucina just groans frustratingly loud while pulling on her hair and smacking her head on the wall. She had only just dug the hole she was in deeper than need be.
"Ok, its ok, ok" Marth says while trying to compose himself. "Ok its not that bad I can still get you out with minimal faults" he says as he exhales deeply. "I need to call this in," he says in a shakey voice taking out his communications device. Lucina quickly looked up horrified and panicked.
She quickly grabbed a large vase and smashed it over his head making him hit the floor. "Arh, Lucina… why…" He said as he went limp.
"Im sorry Marth! Im so sorry please forgive me!" She says while pacing around in panic with her hands on her head. "Im so sorry Marth!" She says as she began to drag him away.
*meanwhile with Roy*
He was standing beside a large door waiting for the right moment to move and complete his plan.
"ROBIN FOR THE LOVE OF NAGA DO SOMETHING!" he suddenly hears someone scream from the other side of the door. Suddenly a log came smashing through the big door riping it right off its hinges. Roy quickly lassos himself unto it and removes the coat randomly stuck to it. He uses the clawshot to get away just as the thing exploded.
Raven hurriedly approached the door staring hopelessly out at the smoldering crater that was left. "What kind of barbaric, primitive, underdeveloped swine does that to a lady's coat?!" She exclaims frustratingly while she growls angrily and stomps her foot on the ground hard.
"Hey guys you should head to the auditorium, the Six have set up a safe room and told everyone to gather there." Ike casually walks by and says soaking wet with several piranhas latched on to him. Both tacticians turn to look at each other and sigh following after the mercenary.
*Lucina*
She was worriedly pacing back and forth in front of a door, when Roy suddenly came in through an open window. "Hey mission accomplished we need to get ready to jump!" He says until he he's her worried expression. "Ooh… What happened?" He says slowly knowing bad news is coming.
"We have a bit of a problem..." she says while she opened the closet door. He looked inside to see Marth tied up and gagged in there.
"Ah Marth, how the mighty have fallen!" He says to himself amused as he approached and removed his gag.
"Roy what have you pulled her into?!" He demands while sitting up and struggling in his restraints.
"I didn't pull her into anything she came at her own accord" Roy says cheerfully while Marth just scoffed.
"Yeah right, you expect me to believe you?!" He says while still struggling in his restraints.
"Its true..." She says solemnly and he looks up at her in shock.
"Why…." He says slowly in shock while Roy just grinned.
"Because unlike you bud, she sees the big picture, same as me" Roy says cheerfully patting him on the shoulder.
"What do we do?" Lucina says worriedly while Roy just ruffled Marth's hair.
"We get ready to jump" he says while she looked back at Marth.
"But he already knows too much" she says worriedly while Roy just waves her off.
"Pffft, oh come on what's he gonna do, tell on you?" He says with a chuckle. "This will blow over in a few days like always, probably..." he says as he stood up from his crouching position.
"Lucina, listen to me its not to still not to late. If you let me go right now I can still get you out of this with a light sentence." Marth says while Lucina looked down at him with a apologetic look.
"This is beyond you Marth..." she says pulling out what looked like a silver high tech futuristic grenade.
"Dude, nice!" Roy says excitedly, "where'd you get that?" He says while Marth stared at it wide eyed knowing what it is. Lucina takes the little device from Marth and pulls the pin on the grenade.
"Lucina, wait, don't do this!" Marth says as he begins to struggle fiercely now.
"Im sorry Marth, please forgive me," She says as she tossed it intro the closet and shuts the door.
"WAIT, LUCINA, NOOOOOOOOOooooooo!" Marth calls out before the door closes and the closet is flooded by an intense light.
"Its a good thing you had that, I don't think it would've been a good idea to let him go, so thanks." He says adjusting the large bag on his back.
"Dont mention it" She says as he was about to respond but she turns to glared at him. "Ever!" She says as she crushed the little device in her hand. "We don't mention this ever again" She says as she walks away.
Once they were outside the little dial beeps and jumps forwards a little as explained before. And they reappear in the gardens again except it was nighttime now. Lucina Looked up at the mansion as her heart raced she knew exactly when and where they were.
"Ok as long as we stay in the outskirts we shouldn't get spotted and have another unfortunate run in." Roy says as he adjusted the heavy bag on his back. However what he saud fell on deaf ears as Lucina had taken off running straight towards the front doors. "WAIT HOLD ON WE HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER!" Roy called out and tried to follow but his bag made him fall backwards and stay stuck like a turtle.
Lucina practically threw open the doors and frantically ran up the stairs. She began running down a long corridor and then turned the corner. And there she saw it… That fateful night began to play itself in her head again. There she stood on that balcony with Robin…
She suddenly heard loud bells begin to chime, signaling her time was ending. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no" she worriedly whispered to herself. She began to sprint as fast as she could towards that balcony. And slowly and surely she saw the world begin to fade away. It didn't matter if her legs began to ache as she pushed then beyond their limits. She kept going as she watched herself and Robin inch closer to each other as the bell chimes grew louder.
"no"

"NO!"
"NOO!"
"NOOO!" She began to frantically scream as the world began to frantically disappear. They start to inch closer to each other while in the back Lucina fades away while running towards them.
Robin suddenly feels a slight breeze hit him and hears a faint whisper. He snaps out of his trance and composes himself.
He placed a two fingers on her lips and stepped back "Lucina look" he begins, "we cant do this" he said solemnly…
*present*
Lucina stopped as she came to an empty balcony completely out of breath. "No…" She whispers as tears began rapidly flowing down her eyes. "Why…" She says while slowly getting on her knees, she sees the dial slowly disintegrate and blow away into the night. She just looked down at the tears falling on her clenched fists. "Why…!" She sobbed in anger clenching her fists harder. "Why?!" She cried out and gritted her teeth while smashing her fist into the floor.
She hears soft footsteps behind her and come to a halt next to her. She didn't care however and kept her gaze on the very small puddle of tears she formed on the ground. She hears the person take a seat next to her and. She wipes her tears away and looks up to see Roy staring up at the night sky.
"Its beautiful isn't it" he says softly with a deep sigh. "A grand vast universe exists out there, and no matter how far we'd go, the universe will always be full of mysteries." He says as he looks at her with a warm smile. "Since the very beginning we've always looked up at the stars and cosmos for answers, while we also listen to the stories they share. And whether or not fate is a thing or not a story always has its beginnings and its ends. But depending on the path the story takes the ending is always going to vary. And if we have the opportunity to put our own input into the story, we'll be sure to jump on the opportunity. There is also the saying that some stories are better left forgotten. However if there is anything we'd have to say about it, its well worth everything to make the story go the path you wish it to, no?" He says and leans back a little taking a deep breath.
"This was never about the coat was it? That last jump was way to precise and calculated to be coincidence." She whispers while she looked up at the young night sky. He neatly folds up the coat he was holding and puts it away.
"Some stories deserve a better end right?" He says while she sighed looking down at her hands again. She unclenched her hands slowly looking at her bruised knuckles. "Although it seems as though some stories are meant to be, no matter how badly we wished it weren't so. Sometimes fate plays out as it is meant to even if we try to intervene." He says while looking over the night sky again.
"What do you mean? " she says looking back up at him while he just continued stargazing.
"If its meant to be its meant to be, that is one of the features I forgot to mention the dial has" he says while she slowly looks back down again.
"I see…" she whispers before she slowly stood back up.
"Sometimes, we meet our destiny on our path to avoid it." He adds as he too stood up as she slowly turned to face him.
"If you knew as much, why go to all this trouble?" She asked his while he just smiled and sighed.
"Well I couldn't just sit back and do nothing if I could help it. See Marth is like a brother to me, hes family. Which means to me you are also family, and family should always have each others back. I couldn't just stand idly by and not try to fix the a problem with family if there was a chance I could make it go away." He assures her while she sighed slowly.
"Thank you I appreciate it, I really do." She says as they embraced in a hug.
"Anytime," he says as she closed her eyes letting one final tear roll down her face.
