A Walk Among Giants, Chapter 23: Through The Eyes of A Lover.

Hey all, the second part is finally here, I know I know all late. Well no game grinds as I had foretold however. Truth is… I actually have no idea what I'm doing with myself anymore plain and simple.

Nevertheless here is an extra long chapter for your enjoyment…

Thanks to the following individuals: my new follows/favs to both the story and myself, I appreciate the support.

And, UltimateCCC: Um, well in a way you technically are right… However it's not like it was on purpose! She and Chrom just had some unfortunate run-ins with each other…

*present day*

He sat there impatiently. He would feel his heart's rhythmic beats as he breathed on slowly. He was sitting on the floor next to his twin. His legs were crossed as he tried to keep his stillness and composure. Across from them sat the aura pokemon meditating while being surrounded by his energy. Behind him stood Zelda idly by with her arms behind her back patiently waiting on them. Lucario slowly hummed as his energy faded and he reopened his eyes. Both the tacticians turn to look at each other worried as the pokemon stood from his spot.

"Well?" Zelda asked as she stepped forward. The aura pokemon turned to her while lifting his paw up to his chin in thought.

"I have read both their auras, and I can confirm there is no trace of any evil within them." He said as he turned towards the silver haired twins. "Your aura is pure." He states with a nod before he heads out the room. Raven and Robin both sigh as they too stand up.

"Well there lies another solid proof that you have rid yourselves of this Grima" Zelda assured them as she stood between the twins. "I suspect that the nightmares you experienced are something else entirely that you misinterpreted. Perhaps what you fear is so unclear to you that your subconscious is masking it as a different fear, one you both know too well." Zelda informs them as they both look deep in thought.

"Well now the question is what exactly is it these nightmares, these dreams are saying…" Raven whispered more to herself than anything.

"Well I'm sorry to say that in order to answer that you will have to listen to these dreams rather than run from them," Zelda adds.

"Well then, we'll have to get back to you on that. In the meantime I'm sure there are other pressing matters to attend to I believe. In any case we appreciate your help as always" Robin speaks up.

"Of course, anytime" The princess says before she bows slightly and heads out the door.

"Well it seems it's not Grima we actually fear, but ourselves" Raven says as she takes her coat off the wall folding it over her arm.

"Indeed" Robin says as he slumps his shoulders, "but… Why…"

*2 days before the arrival*

"Relax you're all tense" Raven says as Robin was impatiently pacing back and forth.

"I… I don't know" Robin said "I didn't put up as much of a protest as I should have." He said walking over to a desk and leaning over it. "She is due to arrive any day now!" He said letting out a slow exhausted breath.

"I understand your frustration, this won't help my case either." She assured him as he sat down on his seat at his desk.

"I don't know how I can cope with her being here, I mean… Anything could happen still, and she was the last person I ever wanted to harm." He sighs as he runs a hand through his hair.

"You feel more strongly about her than you let on..." Raven says as she leans on a bookshelf with a hand on her hip.

"Of course… However, I feel like… Like I can't let selfish desires guide me." He breathed out.

"Now I know you don't believe that for a second. You are confusing passion with desire." She states as he turns his head to her.

"How so?" He says resting his head on his hand.

"Isn't it obvious, just because you are passionate about someone doesn't exactly mean you have a desire." She says as he quietly hums to himself in thought. "Passion comes in many shapes and forms mind you. Not just the dogmatic ideology most people associate with it. Passion could potentially range from expressed interest to pure admiration." Raven states as Robin just slowly sighs as he fully lifts his head up to meet her gaze.

"Such as the case with you and Chrom?" He states as a visible frown comes across her face.

"This isn't about me," She states stoically.

"Isn't it?" Robin says rather bemused.

"Don't go there Robin…" She says in a flat tone.

"I'm sorry, however the fact remains that this event will further my dilemma." he breathed out as he looked over at the clock on the wall. "Oh I must be going, Ike was taking me on another tour today" he sighs, taking his tome from his desk.

"I hope you don't mind, but I will be keeping my distance..." she says while looking down at her hands.

"I assure you, interaction will not be so negative as you've experienced in the past." He says walking over and patting her on the shoulder.

"I know, however it's more for her sake than mine, we don't want to mess with her head all at once and break her. Remember what Master Hand said, we need to slowly ease the newcomers in and not shove them into the ball pit." She informs him as he sighs slightly lowering his shoulders.

"I see, perhaps you are right." He states as she just waved him off.

"Besides, I would rather not intrude on you both reuniting and bonding, I feel like I'd just get in the way." She said as he heavily exhaled from his nose.

"Nonsense, besides that I rather do enjoy the time we spend together." He says tapping her chin with a fist while clicking his tongue. "I'll be in touch" he adds before he heads out the door.

*day of arrival*

As usual it was busy and utter chaos. Robin was making his way through a hall trying not to get caught up in any of the chaos. He also held his infamous tome in his left hand. He made it to a set of stairs and proceeded to make his way down. Moving out of the way as Link and Pit went skating down the stairs at full speeds. He made sure the coast was clear before he continued his descent and got to the main lobby. He was about to reach the door before Luigi came rushing down the hall on fire, and Mario chased him with the super soaker on his back. Robin just sighed and resumed his trip picking up pace before anything else should happen. "Oh hey Robin where you off to in such a rush?" A feminine voice called out and he turned around to face the princess of Hyrule herself; Zelda.

"The newcomer was due to arrive today, I am to greet them since after all she is from my dimension and time." he responded.

"Of course, wait… she? Wow as soon as I heard another sword fighter was coming from your dimension I seriously thought it was another male. But a female, the closest we got to that was Lyn, however she's just a projection. Would you mind if I accompanied you?" Zelda asked curiously.

"Not at all, after all it would be preferable if she started meeting new people to make her feel more welcomed. We best be on our way though she is supposed to be arriving sometime now according to Master Hand." He said and she nodded her head and they made their way towards the doors.

"Wait, I wonder why Master Hand didn't announce her arrival? He did it for the first few newcomers. But then afterwards he just didn't bother anymore?" Zelda said while she looked at Robin puzzled.

"Well for starters this mansion has been in a huge ruckus for a little over a week now. I don't think Master Hand wants anymore of a ruckus then there already is. You do remember what happened when we got the latest new Smasher to join the roster right?" He said and opened the front door and held it open for Zelda to pass, she thanked him while stepping outside.

"Ugh, don't remind me that was a total disaster and the Elite Six was personally held responsible!" She said with a groan and they both headed to the gate. Some Miis were standing guard at the gate when they approached. But there wasn't any sign of anyone approaching let alone arrived. Not too soon afterwards however they saw someone come lazily walking towards the gate.

"Is... is that her?" Zelda said motioning off into the distance with her head and Robin nodded slowly with a sigh.

"Yeah that would be her, believe me she is usually more cheerful and active." Robin assured her while she nodded and ordered the Miis to open the gate.

Robin quickly stepped through the front gates approaching with a large smile plastered on his face. Zelda followed closely behind watching as her face lit up when she saw the tactician. "Robin!" she called out and approached tackling him unto hug while he chuckled. "You don't know how much we missed you, it has not been the same since you left!" She said while pulling away from him and sighing heavily.

"Really now? Well at least I'm glad that everyone is still thinking of me after a week of absence." Robin said, then turned to face Zelda then back Lucina. "Lucina I would like to introduce you to someone who I am very well acquainted with, this is Princess Zelda of Hyrule."

"It is very nice to meet you, I'm Lucina and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Lucina introduced herself while making a formal bow in front of Zelda.

"The pleasure is all mine, and please there is no need for formality, we are all equals here." Zelda said while extending her hand for a handshake and Lucina took her hand and gave her a handshake.

"Well why don't we get you settled in? Then I can give you a proper tour and let you meet the many life forms within!" Robin said while helping Lucina with her luggage and she nodded cheerfully.

"I would love that very much!" she said while Robin handed her all her smash related things and led her to the mansion. She looked around at the scenery in the front yard before they were at the entrance. Robin turned his head slightly to see her in awe at the sights, the place was remarkable afterall.

"Well I have some urgent things to attend to. It was a pleasure getting to meet you Lucina. Well I guess I will see you two later at dinner I suppose, farewell and I hope you have a pleasant stay Lucina." Zelda said turned and headed in a different direction and disappeared around the corner. They head upstairs although Lucina did lag behind him a bit as she stopped to take in sights or just observe the surroundings.

"This will be your residence for your time here at the smash mansion." Robin pointed at the door. "Do you have your identification card? It should be with the things I handed you at the gate, you'll need it to enter your room." He said while pointing to the ID scanner next to the door.

"Yeah let me check." She responded while going through her things, she pulled out a small card and Robin took it and swiped it. A beeping noise occurred and the door opened and he motioned her inside. She was taking in every detail of the room and seemed to be lost in her mind, until Robin snapped her out of her thoughts. "Well I'll let you get settled in, I have to go somewhere that requires my attendance, I'll be back later to show you around, now if you'll excuse me." He Finished and left the room.

He closed the door gently, placing his back to it with a sigh. "It'll all work out in the end…" He assured himself. He then heads back down the hall before he sees Peach come eagerly skipping down the halls with a gift box in her hands. He runs into Master Hand and Ike in the lobby as he is coming down the stairs.

"Ah Robin there you are" Master Hand approached as the tactician arched a brow. "Listen I'd hate to be a nuisance, however I'm in dire need of those extra supplies I asked you and Ike to retrieve for me upstairs as the last of the smashers are all piling in now." He informs him as they walk along a corridor.

"I know I asked you to show the newcomer around, however I got that covered, I have freed up Zelda's schedule to have her show Lucina around." The Hand finished as they all came to a stop near the elevator.

"It's no bother sir, I quite understand, Ike and I will get right on that." Robin says as the hand nods his head while placing his hands behind his back.

"Excellent, oh and I've assigned a few off duty Miis to help with the load, we'll need to hurry with the renovations in time for the new partner system I'll be implementing shortly." MH stated before he poofed away.

"Well let's get this over with" Ike said pushing the elevator button. The doors opened up and instead of pushing one of the normal buttons Ike opened a secret compartment and bushed a green button in it that took them to the attic.

"I didn't know that was a thing…" Robin said rather puzzled.

"Oh yeah the attic and basement buttons are behind this panel because they aren't used on many occasions." The mercenary informed him.

"But I never saw any elevator doors in the basement, so where does that go?" Robin asked rather puzzled.

"Dunno, apparently only the Elite 6 have access down there." Ike said with the shrug of his shoulders before the door opened up to the rather large and dusty attic.

*later*

When the lunch bell rang both tactician and mercenary breathed in a sigh of relief. Although they did have the help of some Miis' the enormous attic is still quite a chore. When the duo head into the kitchen Robin spots Lucina sitting at a table looking at her food puzzled. He doesn't blame her though, he himself was rather taken aback by the 'modern' food. When he and Ike grabbed their food, which of course Robin couldn't resist the temptation of grabbing fries, he decided to introduce Lucina to a living legend…

"Lucina, glad I ran into you I would like to introduce you to the first person I met at the tournament." He spoke up and she looked up while her jaw dropped when she noticed who was standing at his side. "This is-"

"No way is that the Radiant Hero!?" She cut him off, quickly rising from her seat and approaching him. She just started poking his armor while he arched an eyebrow and turned to Robin. "Wow he is so much bigger in person!" She said while she swayed his cape around and Robin shrugged. "And the legendary sword Rangel!" She said in almost a squeal while staring at it. "Is this actually real?" she asked while she poked his cheek very slowly.

"Yes I am the muscle tone warrior and wielder of Rangel and yes I am very real." He responded while giving her a firm handshake as she gawked. "But you can call me Ike" he said while he patted her on the head. She just giggled a little and slowly sat back down while still staring at Ike in awe.

"May we join you ladies in your meal?" Robin asked momentarily afterwards.

"Yeah sure," replied Zelda. And Robin and Ike sat opposite the two girls.

"So Robin have you finally finished?" Lucina asked the tactician hopefully but he just sighed heavily.

"Unfortunately no, we are merely just taking a little break our assignment has yet to be complete." Robin responded while Lucina seemed a little disappointed Robin had not finished his task yet, she then noticed Robin holding a soda can. Before he could open it however Lucina put her hand on top of it. "NO!" She yelled while everyone paused and looked at her as she was stretched across the table and her hand on top of the soda can. She just stood there looking at a confused Robin.

"Is something wrong Lucina?" He asked cautiously and she blinked several times in thought.

"Uh, um, well you see..." she started saying while slowly sitting back down. "How do I put this? See those little containers explode if you try to open them, I did so a while ago and it just burst." She responded and everyone at the table just looked at her with blank expressions.

"Um Lucina I assure you it is perfectly fine if I open this container it will not combust," Robin opened the soda and put it back on the table and looked back at her "see it's fine."

"Wait, let me guess you shook the can before opening it?" Ike asked the swordswoman, Lucina turned to Ike while giving him a slow nod in which he started laughing, Robin himself couldn't help but chuckle lightly, even a giggle managed to escape Zelda's lips.

"What is so funny?" she asked at the sudden laughter looking around the table confused.

"Well lets just say you should never shake a soda can before opening it, you see this drink called soda has this fizz and shaking it will make it put loads of pressure on the can." Robin responded.

"Oh, I see..." Lucina responds and puts her head down in embarrassment.

Zelda's chair was then pulled down and she gave a startled yelp in surprise. Robin turned his head to see Link holding the princess's chair with a wide grin.

"There you are!" he said before planting his lips on hers then she started giggling.

"Link where have you been? I haven't seen you at all today?" Zelda said as he put the chair back.

"Oh you know, here and there..." he responded and walked towards Robin and put his arm around him. "Robin what up? I used tactics this time!" While snickering to himself uncontrollably. He noticed that unmistakable item that Link liked to swap from a certain metroid hunter.

"Hello Link, I see you succeeded this time hm?" Robin replied while shaking his head. He already knew the events that were about to unfold due to prior experience.

"Ike! what up big guy?" Link says as Ike stood up and both he and Link jumped and bumped their chests. Zelda just shook her head with a smile on her face as they bro hugged. Before long, and to no-one's surprise, except Lucina of course, Link got tackled to the ground by said hunter.

"Where is it prick, give it to ME!" she shouted at him while trying to pin him to the ground.

"Hey I told you I don't have it... not anymore!" he said with a devilish smile. Her expression went from shock to pure rage as she picked him up and threw him against the wall and pointed her gun right at his face.

"What did you do!" She hissed at him but he just had a sly smile looking around innocently.

"I don't know, but maybe, just maaaybe, it's at a certain location..." he said as his smile grows ever so slightly.

"NO!" she dropped him and left through the cafeterias back door, Link got up and dusted himself off and headed back to the group.

"Link what happened?" Ike asked while approaching the green clad hero who was grinning like an idiot.

"Well lets just say where you fail once the second time's a charm." He responded and held up Samus's log, or 'diary' as Link put it. Link constantly took it and hid it which would send the blonde onto a frenzy all over the place. This was partly due to having her do something other than to keep pushing Link and others to the extreme on their tasks. The hunter seemed to forget or just plainly not care that others don't have the endurance she may have. Another reason he might take it is to try to put Samus under his thumb, it worked at first but now she just resorted to beating the snot out of Link when he took it. Though he was saved countless times by Zelda warning the metroid hunter not to hurt Link too badly less she be disciplined by Master Hand. Although the more he did it the more difficult the hylian princess found it to come up with excuses to protect the dolt. What had her worried this time was what Link did several other times, he placed it in the library on a large pedestal for all to see.

"Ah Link up to your mischievous ways again are we?" Robin spoke up and just gave a chuckle while also slowly shaking his head thinking back to all the other times as well.

"Link what did you do!?" Zelda demanded but still focused on her meal, not even bothering to look up.

"Oh, um, oh you know I just caught her at a wrong time you know Samus, ha ha ha ha..." Link replied laughing nervously and tapping his fingers together.

"Yeah fine I don't even care anymore, just know I won't bail you out this time!" Zelda told the other Hylian looking up at him with a glare.

"Uh, what's going on?" Lucina asked nervously, still wondering what happened and why. Everyone stopped and looked at her. Then Link popped out from behind Ike with a stupid look and approached her. "Hello there... I don't think we have been properly introduced. I am Link the one man army, devilishly handsome proud knight of Hyrule, slayer of the king of evil at your service." He pulled out a rose and handed it to her while Zelda just scoffed at his introduction to the blue haired swordswoman. She took the flower while thanking him.

"Thank you it's nice to meet you too, I'm Lucina from Ylisse." She greeted him and Link sat down in between Ike and Robin. He then took some of Robin's fries and ate them while leaning back in his chair. Robin made a mental note here to eat his fries faster less the others help themselves to them. It has happened on several other occasions, now Robin doesn't mind sharing. But other's ideas of sharing is taking massive fist fulls of his fries. Quite an annoyance for anyone, besides it seemed as if everyone purposely relied on Robin for the fries as they piled their plate with other foods.

"So, what's new guys?" Link asked the group.

"Well I would say the usual, BUUUUT! Master Hand has me and Robin bringing a whole bunch of containers from the attic. AANND, it looks like it's going to take us all day. I got places to be! Who's gonna polish my sword!?" Ike said while slowly rubbing his sword with a pout.

"You think that sucks!? I got put on the test subject team I'm trying out all these new stages Master Hand came up with. That and hoping I make it back in one piece!" Link told them rocking back and forth in his chair thinking about it.

"Speaking of Master Hand, Lucina, he wants to talk with you so we should go." Zelda told her while getting up. She threw away her trash and put her tray on a large stack of dirty trays.

Lucina got up and did the same and she headed back to the table, before they could leave however they heard a loud yell but was muffled through the walls. Then a loud roar came and more arguing, than a feminine sounding voice came to yell as well. Finally all calmed down when a loud booming voice shouted "Silence!" Lucina just looked back at Zelda completely puzzled.

"What just happened?" Lucina asked in confusion looking at the others around the table.

"Eh, you know normal everyday psychotic commotion. Don't worry in a few days you'll get used to it, or have a psychotic breakdown." Replied Link sternly taking a chug out of Robin's soda, again to his annoyance. Lucina turned to look at Link with a concerned look while he shrugged. Then the back door of the cafeteria busted down, Samus stood there now wearing her armor without her helmet however.

"LINK!" she shouted, glaring at the Hylian as he spat the soda out and whipped around, flying out of the chair.

"Heeyyy, S-S-Samus I-I love to stay and chat but I got work to do." he said in a shaky voice and was slowly backing away. Link then took off running full blast and Samus gave chase. Zelda just pinched the bridge of her nose and groaned in annoyance. She was going to find him a mess somewhere later and have to drag him to the infirmary.

"I would not be surprised if we find him in Dr. Mario's office later!" Ike said while laughing, and several explosions went off near the cafeteria.

"Well, we best be on our way Ike if we are to finish our task before curfew. Lucina I will see you later at dinner farewell." Robin finished, with that he got up and left followed by Ike who was groaning. Zelda And Lucina left out the back door towards the Hand's office. Robin actually contemplated to himself about what her reaction to seeing him would be. He has to admit he was a bit baffled by his appearance when he first saw him, it was seriously not what he expected.

*later*

Robin was at a loss of words and of course so was Raven, Ike had informed the twins that Marth was finally arriving. He took off to go and greet the bluenette and told them to meet at the lobby later to meet him.

"So how is the job going?" Raven turns to her brother who was pacing a box on the floor.

"It's going along alright, can't complain." Robin says opening the large box and waving the dust away from his face.

"I see," she responds. "Well thanks to Samus's technology we managed to take inventory rather quickly. So it gave me time to visit the library and do further research on our case. While she apparently left in a hurry, something about killing Link…" She adds as she took an old book out of her coat.

"I… I have to be completely honest, I was sort of forgetting about that whole ordeal." He said as he stood up and dusted off his coat.

"Well that's good this place certainly does help ease our minds," She said taking a seat on an old table nearby. "I came across several books about the interpretation of dreams, their meaning, and of course the messages they convey." She begins while flipping through the pages. "At the most, sometimes it may be a way of us knowing our innermost thoughts and feelings." She finishes as she hands her twin the book and he looks it over.

"I'll be sure to look this over tonight, in the meantime why don't we introduce ourselves to the hero-king?" He says clasping the book shut and pacing it in his coat.

"That sounds exciting, besides I need something to take my mind off things." She states as they both head towards the elevator. She pressed the little button and the doors opened, as they stepped inside Robin pushed the button with a 1 on it.

"And how do you feel about meeting Marth?" He asks turning to her, she however just slumped her shoulders.

"I must say it's still a little absurd to think about, I mean metting a legendary hero from years past." She says as she brushes a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Yeah, however you sound like you're expecting this to be all one big prank" He asked rather bemused as he arched a brow. She just scoffed and waved him off.

"Not necessarily." She stated, "although I still hold a small but of doubt I'll give you that" She adds.

"Hmm, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit skeptical myself…" He says casually with a shrug as the doors opened up. They both head towards the lobby where there was a small commotion. When they arrive they see several veteran smashers gathered around throwing confetti around. In the middle of the group was Ike who was crushing a smaller man in his arms. He sets him down and they see it was indeed the hero-king in the flesh. All of their skepticism and doubts were now gone, he really was a participant.

"Hey Marth check this out these guys are from your future, they are the chief tactician to your direct descendant in 2000 years!" Ike says leading Marth towards said tacticians.

"Wow it really is an honor sir, we've heard so much about you that it's hard to believe you're really here!" Robin speaks up as he shakes the bluenette's arm enthusiastically.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well," Marth says with a smile and a slight nod of his head. "To think my lineage is still going after so long is amazing to hear," He adds as Raven approaches him.

"Yeah I've heard all about you Marmar!" She said as she poked his arm, and he lowered his head with a wide smile while shaking it slowly.

"Ah, it seems you've met Tiki then?" he said rather amused.

"Yeah, however there is someone I think you'd find quite interesting to meet!" Robin says giving Ike a nudge.

"Oh yeah, Marth you're in for a surprise!" Ike states giving the bluenette a pat on the back. "But first let's get you settled in!" He says as they all follow behind him up the stairs.

"Oh I'll catch up with everyone later, Marth it was a great honor meeting you!" She says as Marth gave her a nod before she walked off. They three guys then continued heading upstairs to get the bluenette settled in.

"The roster really grew this time around huh?" Marth asks as Ike whistled.

"You have no idea, it's more than doubled since the last tournament!" Ike responds.

"So what's the story with you?" Marth asked, turning toward the tactician. "Are you a dynamic duo like the Ice Climbers?" He asked while Robin looked at him puzzled.

"Um, I'm not familiar with those individuals I'm afraid..." Robin responds while Ike pats Marth on the shoulder.

"Yeah the Ice Climbers withdrew this time around unfortunately." The mercenary informed him.

"Oh that's quite unfortunate, they were a joy to have around" Marth sighed as Ike hummed in agreement slowly nodding his head.

"Actually the thing is we are actually the same person." Robin explained as Marth turned his head slightly with a puzzled look. "Yeah, same person, different world" Robin added as Marth silently 'ohs' having understood.

"Although we just established them as siblings since it makes it easier to cope with the confusion…" Ike shrugged. They stop at a large door with silver outlinings to it with three plaques on it. It was nearly all the way at the back of the hall so hardly anyone came here. Before he opened the door he turned towards Robin again.

"I'm sorry I didn't catch your name?" He says in a rather apologetic tone.

"Robin" the tactician said with a nod of his head. "My 'twin' however goes by Raven." The silver haired man quickly added.

"Well Robin, it is a pleasure to meet with you." He says as he bows slightly before turning to open the door.

"Yeah but we have someone else we think you should really meet!" Ike says nudging Marth as he walked in placing his belongings on his bed.

"Well then let us go meet this mysterious individual you keep referring to." He says enthusiastically as the other two look at one another with sly grins.

"First things first we need to meet with the guys!" Ike said motioning towards the door with his thumbs.

"Yeah I suggest we save that special interaction for last." Robin said and Ike nodded as Marth headed towards the door.

He opens it and steps out of the room only to have someone slam into him. She separated from him and froze in place, she was utterly frozen in shock. "T-the h-h-hero King!?" She spoke in a fast and panicked voice choking on her own words as it seemed her voice was stuck in her throat. Marth approaches her looking quite concerned and confused. She just smiled stupidly while she hit the floor with a loud thud.

"LUCINA!?" Robin called out running to her side and kneeling next to her.

"Uh, yeah, that… That would be her…" Ike said awkwardly as he looked at the unconscious brunette.

"Is she alright?" Marth said going over towards her side and kneeling next to Robin.

"Yeah, however I did not see this predicament coming. I guess you gave her more of a shock than I had anticipated…" Robin said.

"May I ask why this woman has an uncanny resemblance towards me?" He asked rather puzzled as Robin picked up the brunette from the floor bridal style.

"Yeah, meet your great great granddaughter." Robin says with a slight sigh.

"Oh, I see, so is this the person whom you served as tactician to?" Marth asks while Robin shook his head.

"Actually no, that would be her father," Robin corrected him.

"Ah ok I see" Marth says looking in thought. "Although I feel terrible if I may have spooked her or anything…" he said while slowly rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's alright I'm sure we can try this again when she comes to." Robin said and walked off with the unconscious bluenette in his hands down the hall and out of view.

Robin heads to her room and sets her down on her bed gently, he then brushes some hair from her face. She looked so peaceful at the moment, rather than the tired and worried look she always seemed to carry with her. He goes and sits on a nearby chair and takes out the book Raven had given him earlier.

It isn't long before someone knocks on the door and he goes and answers it. He sees a small group of concerned smashers all standing there having heard the news apparently.

*Timeskip*

*Raven Pov*

The tactician tiredly came down the stairs towards the cafeteria. She made sure to wake up extra early so she could spend some quality time in the library before she got scooped out like always. Sure she enjoyed spending time with others but she wanted to focus on her and Robin's dilemma. It was worse for Robin though as he couldn't even take a minute to himself apparently. She rubbed her tired eyes as a yawn escaped her lips. She pushed open the doors to find the place had some early birds there already. She managed to keep herself busy and away from the crowd by spending most of her time in the library, seeing as how she and Robin were still occasionally plagued with bad dreams.

"So you managed to pry yourself loose off of your bed too?" Shulk said as he walked in behind her with heavy bags under his eyes.

"You could say that" she responds. He just quietly hums to himself as he pinches his eyes. "Hey I'm sure some nice coffee and a meal will help," she assured him patting the monado wielder on the back.

"I suppose you are right…" He sighs and heads over towards the food to get himself breakfast. Raven however headed towards the coffee machine and made herself a nice large cup to last her all morning. She was afterall planning on spending as much time as she could in the library. She sat with Shulk at the swordsman table since she already knew that the messy bunch exerted some level of self control in the mornings. She was going to wait for her twin to exchange some information with him before she headed off. Apparently Master Hand had a big announcement that day and everyone had to be present. She figured it was fine there were plenty of other tables she could sit to keep her distance after all. She searched her coat before she realised she forgot to bring the book she was going to give her twin.

"Awh shucks…" She sapped, "I'll be back" she sighs and heads out the door back to her room. She throws the whole place upside down before she finds what she was looking for. When she was heading back she bumps into Robin. "Oh just who I was waiting for!" She says taking the book out of her coat.

"Ah yeah, here is the next one I finished last night." He replies handing her a book of his own.

"And what did you find?" She asked as he took a bit of a waffle and scratched his head.

"Well apparently, it is possible of slivers of dark entities to remain dormant inside individuals even if the entity is no longer around. I'm sure you've heard and read about the case with Bowser?" He says before taking a sip of coffee. Raven nods her head as she pulls her bangs off her face.

"Yeah heard it all, terrible stuff, poor Roy" she said slowly shaking her head.

"And so I'm sure you've read that even though that entity lingered, Bowser is in full control, meaning that gives us great hope!" Robin sates as she hmms unsurely.

"Perhaps so, but remember our circumstances are different." She said looking in thought as she sighed.

"Perhaps, nevertheless, have you spoken with Zelda yet?" He says taking another bite of his waffle.

"I did, we'll have to wait till tomorrow though as it seems there are a heap of things planned for today." She responded as he slumped his shoulders and groaned a bit.

"Right, I forgot…" He admits.

"Hey a least we can use the time to clear our minds and take a breather, so it's not so bad. Besides it could be fun!" she says with a casual shrug.

"Right I just remembered I forgot my tome, I'm going to need it later as the guys want to have a sparring match before the day's activities." He sighs as he slowly shook his head before taking a sip of coffee.

"Yeah well, Peach wants to go on another one of her picnics, you know it's impossible to say no to her when she looks straight into you with her big round eyes." Raven says as Robin just snorted rather amused. "In any case we'll meet up later" she chirps before stealing his waffle and walking off.

"Hey!" We whined before he just groaned and walked away towards his room.

"Hmm, not bad!" She says before heading back towards the table with Shulk. "Hey Shulk I'm back!" She says, setting her cup down on the table. "Oh Marth when did you get here?" She asked the bluenette who was taking a bite of toast. She then lost her words when she saw who was sitting next to him. Her mind went blank as the person looked up at her in shock and confusion. Lucina then proceeds to spit her coffee all over Marth's face, who was taken aback by this. The others at the table though begin to laugh at Marths expense as Lucina keeps her gaze fixed on her. "Oh no here it comes…" She mentally thought, remembering that this woman wasn't fond of her and tried to murder her. "Keep it civil, keep it civil!" She told herself expecting things to get sour any minute.

"R-Robin!? W-What happened to you?" Lucina finally spoke in complete shock.

"Oh Lucina? I didn't know you were here, you got invited that's great! Why didn't you tell me, how are things at home?" Raven responded and Lucina looked more confused now.

"Robin I arrived yesterday! You greeted me at the front gate with Zelda, remember!?" She exclaimed puzzled, although now Raven was the one who was confused.

"I did?" Raven asked confused. She was in deep thought having her finger on her chin. "I only met Marth yesterday, I would have definitely remembered meeting Lucina as well…" she said mentally.

"Never mind that! What happened to you? I mean you leave for a couple minutes, then come back having swapped gender!?" Lucina exclaimed but Raven just gave her a confused look looking down at herself.

"Wait? I did what!?" She asked and then it clicked in her head what was going on. In her panic she had completely forgotten that Lucina from Robin's world was coming. "Wait, oh, OHH!" Raven said when she realized what was going on and snapped her fingers. Lucina however was still trying to process what just happened, taking another sip of her coffee with a shaking hand. Then Robin came to the table putting his arm around his twin and standing next to her.

"Ah Lucina, I see you have met my sister then?" He says and Lucina looks up at both of them. There were now two Robins' standing at the foot of the table, seeing this she once again spat all her coffee in Marth's face and stood up.

"You have a sister!?" She exclaimed to Robin. But when she stood up rather fast she had also dropped her cup. The contents fell on Shulk's lap who was sitting next to her at the time, his eyes then snapped wide open.

"My biscuits are ROASTING!" Shulk screamed getting up and hopping around shaking his pants, Ike and Pit were on the floor rolling around and laughing at everything that happened. Lucina realized what she just did too and panicked.

"Oh gosh, Marth I'm so sorry here let me!" she blurted out grabbing some napkins to clean him but he just put up a hand and stopped her.

"No! it's fine I got it!" He exclaimed while getting up and stormed towards the restroom and disappeared behind the door. Shulk was still dancing around like an idiot however and Lucina turned to him in a panic.

"Shulk here let me," she took the napkins and tried cleaning the coffee off but imminently stopped when she realized what she was trying to clean. Shulk however just jumped over the table and took off running and screaming like a maniac out the back door and down the hall.

"OH, THE PAIN, THE PAIN! MY SWEET BUTTERY BISCUITS!" Shulk's constant screaming could still be heard coming down the hall even though he'd disappeared from view. Lucina just slumped back down on the chair afterwards, Ike and Pit stood up wiping the tears off their eyes.

"Oh man! Lucina you just made my day!" she heard Ike tell her as he sat back down gasping for air and holding his sides.

"I don't think I ever laughed this hard before!" Pit said holding his ribs as he sat back down on the table. Lucina just lowered herself on the seat more and groaned knowing she made a mess of things.

"I uh, think I left my book of tomes back in my room so, um, i'm going to, go." Raven spoke up awkwardly pointing towards the door, Robin nodded and she started scooting away slowly. "My book of tomes?! What the hell was that Raven?!" She mentally exclaimed at how stupid that sounded.

*later*

"I have to admit not what I was expecting…" Raven said as she looked up momentarily in thought.

"Well I think a do over is in check since everything has been cleared now, sort of…" Robin tells her as they walk down the halls.

"Hmm I don't know…" Raven shrugged unsurely.

"What else could you possibly have to do, all plans have been cancelled today due to rain." Robin informs her but she gives him a deadpan look.

"Oh come now Raven I'm sure that could wait, you keep stressing yourself too much. I feel that you are not enjoying your time here as much as you should. Surely you can do this one thing?" He says as she blows some hair from her face.

"Hmm, I still don't know…" she groaned unsure.

"You'll never get past any turmoil unless you can get over obstacles from your past holding you back." He says while patting her shoulder and she sighs in defeat.

"I suppose you are right…" She states and he nods his head with a sly grin.

"Alright then good luck!" He states and pushes her into the cafeteria, which she didn't realise he was leading her.

"H-Hey!" She protested but he had bolted the door shut from the other side. She groaned in frustration and turned around to see the two bluenettes sitting at a table in the far back. She exhaled deeply before making her way towards the blue haired duo…

*even later*

Everyone was leaving the auditorium with their new IDs to see their new rooms and of course their new roommates. "Hey you coming daydreamer?" Raven called out to Lucina, who shook her head while she turned and saw her and Robin standing near the exit.

"Y-Yeah I'm coming" Lucina responded a little embarrassed and made her way towards the duo standing at the door.

"Lucina here is your new identification card, I retrieved it for you, it seems your new room is on the third floor." Robin told her as he handed her the new ID and she took it looking it over.

"I wonder who you got to partner up with Lucina? I myself have yet to meet my new partner as well, I'm a little anxious I might add." Raven told her as they were leaving the room grasping her ID tightly in her hands.

"I'm wondering that myself, well only one way to find out right?" Lucina told them as they approached the elevator, and Robin pressed the down arrow button. A few minutes later a ding sounded and Robin and Raven entered.

"Are you going to be alright finding your way by yourself?" Robin asked Lucina as he turned to face her she just nodded. She then showed a map she had of the mansion. "Alright we would have accompanied you but it seems our rooms are on the second floor." Robin added later with a lazy shrug but Lucina just waved him off and smiled.

"Alright we'll see you later at Lunch then, farewell Lucina" Raven told her as the elevator doors closed and they disappeared from view. "I'm rather thrilled to meet my new partner, this will make things interesting!" She says as they step out into the second floor and go their separate ways.

"I'll catch you later, Rave" Robin said, going down a diffrent hall from her. She nodded while looking around for her room number. Even though the mansion was massive, the rooms had to be divided into two floors because they were all the size of a large studio apartment.

When she found her room she slid her ID and stepped inside, she found all her belongings neatly packed and placed on her bed. On the other side of the room on top the other bed were her apparent roommates belongings, though apparently they weren't there yet. She walked over to the closet to take a look at it, and it was bigger than the one in her previous room. "Wow this place is big enough to fit a Pegasus inside!" She said to herself, amazed. She grabbed a small chest filled with some personal belongings and walked over to place it inside her closet on the top shelf. She was on her tiptoes pushing the little box up when the door opened.

"Alright Robin! That's radical!" She hears someone pipe up excitedly, she turns around and sees Shulk standing at the door with a fist in the air. When he realised it was her however he slowly lowered his hand.

"Oh, it's you…" he said awkwardly.

"Were you expecting the milkman or something?" She asks as he just nervously cleared his throat.

"No, it's not that it's just that, well, actually I don't know anymore…" He says as he scratched his head somewhat embarrassed. She just exhaled with a smile on her face as she slowly shook her head waving him off.

"It's quite alright," she says taking a seat on her bed. "So seeing as we're going to be seeing a lot of each other, tell me a little about yourself, who exactly is 'Shulk' the man behind the sword." She says leaning forward and resting her chin on her fist.

*Robin pov*

He stopped at his door looking at it for the longest time. There could be any person in there and he had to brace himself. He took in a deep breath and turned the knob stepping into his new room. He sees none other than the king of evil standing in the middle of the room looking around. He turns his head slightly to see Robin standing at the doorway and a smirk spreads across his face.

"Ah, the tactician!" he says rather amused. "Please come in, make yourself at home." He says motioning towards the back of his room with his hands.

"Certainly, and I trust we could make it through the tournament without being murdered in my sleep." Robin said as he walked over towards the bed with his belongings. The king of evil threw his head back and gave a hearty laugh, it was rather unsettling.

"At least you have a sense of humor!" He says. "Oh but where are my manners, I am the gerudo king, Ganondorf." He says placing a hand over his chest and taking a bow.

"Robin, the tactician" The silver haired man replied motioning to himself.

"Yes I've read all about you, I find you to be quite an interesting individual." He says pacing around the room while keeping his eyes fixated on the tactician.

"Oh?" Robin said, taking a seat on his bed.

"Oh yes, the vessel of the fell dragon Grima." The gerudo states as he crossed his arms. "The power that dragon held was impressive to say the least," he adds.

"Yeah, he did hold rather abusive power" Robin says, lowering his gaze a bit.

"What I'm impressed with is the fact that you managed to repel such a powerful beast from possessing you. Not only that but you managed to outsmart and even kill it when others before you failed at that." He says with another one of his infamous smirks. "Despite you both being connected, here you stand, freed from his grasp" Ganon mused.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Robin said to himself mentally, "well I rather do enjoy my free will rather than being a puppet." Robin responds plainly with a shrug before the PA system comes on.

"Alright smashers, I'm guessing everyone has met their partners getting all the awkwardness out of the way. So now comes the fun part! Working together! So now everyone reports to the 5th floor and head towards you and your partners assigned training room, it should be the same as your room numbers. After that Lunch, then after you can do whatever you so wish, it's still pouring outside so no outside activities can be done so sorry. Alright, then that sums it up just about so happy smashing everyone!" Master Hand finished with a chuckle and the speakers shut off momentarily after that.

"Well then let us see your prowess in the field of battle," Ganon says while heading towards the door. "I'd like to pick your brain a little!" He says while Robin just shrugged.

"As long as you mean to pick it figuratively, I'll comply" he says as they head out the door. The gerudo however just let out an amused grunt.

"You're alright tactician" he says while giving him a rough pat on the back.

*shortly after*

The tactician and gerudo were on a large platform that seemed to be floating in space. On occasion some purple and red lighting would flash in the distance.

"Impressive!" Ganon states, "most impressive!" He adds as he moves away from a Thunder that almost hit him. They soon hear the lunch bell ring signaling that the training was now over and the simulation ended. "You have excellent skills tactician, we'll continue this at a later date." Ganon says before turning and heading out the door his cape swaying behind him.

Robin just sighed and followed suit, perhaps this won't be so bad after all. However he was not expecting Lunch to take the turn that it would that day, as boy he was in for a surprise…

*Timeskip*

Robin could smell a pleasant aroma wafting through the vicinity. He opens his eyes and looks around, he removes his bed sheets and sits up. He slips his boots on and gets up heading towards the door. He opens the bedroom door and takes a look around. He saw a figure in the kitchen and he smiled as he leaned against the door frame. "Attempting breakfast again?" He called out as the person jumped in place before turning around.

"Attempting is putting it rather bodly," Lucina responds, wiping her hands on the apron she wore. "But yes I am attempting again..." She says as she turns around again and he approaches.

"Well either way it's the thought that counts no?" He says putting his arms around her and gives her a quick kiss.

"Well I would say it went better than last time" she sighed as she leaned her head on him. "I think you married the wrong person, I can't even feed you..." she says as he just exhaled through his nose.

"Nonsense, I love you regardless," he says before his vision starts flashing red. "No… " he whispered as his heartbeat began to speed up. With a shaking hand he picked up a large kitchen knife despite trying to restraint himself. "No… Please…" He choked out as his vision was engulfed in red. He forcefully takes Lucina by the hair throwing her head back as he lifts the knife into the air.

"ROBIN!" she cried out before he plunged the blade into her heart. He could only stare at her wide fearful eyes full of tears. They slowly lost their shine as she breathed her last breath and fell limp into his arms. He fell to his knees tightly clutching his dead wife in his hands while he was shaking.

"No!" He breathed out.

"Look closely you fool" the sinister voice boomed all around him. "THIS!" It calls out with a deep growl, "THIS IS YOUR ONLY FUTURE!" The voice remarked followed by chaotic laughter echoes from all around him.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Robin cried out while throwing his head back…

Robin woke up in a panic, once again. He could feel his heart pounding against his chest. He drew out short panicked breaths as he took in his surroundings. He could see the moonlight peeking through the shut certains illuminating the room with a soft greyish blue light.

"I'd appreciate it if you could refrain from screaming." He heard his roommate say from across the room. He could see his dark eyes peeking through the darkness of the room.

"My apologies," he says while sitting up in his bed. "worry not, It's not something I normally do..." he says as he gets up and heads towards the restroom.

"That's greatly appreciated" the gerudo grumbles before closing his eyes again.

Robin flicks the switch and closes the door, he turns on the faucet with a shaking hand. He splashes some water on his face before he leans over the counter. He knew his feelings for her were there but he was always afraid to further them. Now his nightmares have changed which now left him terrified of his feelings. He turns off the faucet and takes his coat putting it over his shoulders with his hood up.

"We're not allowed out after curfew," Ganon says as Robin stood in front of the door. "The hand puts up a night patrol" he informs the tactician.

"I'll manage," Robin responds with a deep sigh. The gerudo just hums rather amused while a smirk spread across his lips.

"I know you will, piece of advice however the upper west wing isn't patrolled so heavily since it's an unused portion." The gerudo informs him before he heads out the door.

As expected he found Raven sitting in one of the common rooms deprived of sleep and shaken up. "You too huh," he says as he takes a seat across from her on one of the old wooden benches there.

"Do you even need to ask…" She breathed out solemnly, she was leaning forward with her head lowered. "I'm so tired of this'' she groaned as she buried her face in her hands. He pinched his eyes as he leaned back on the bench. This room seemed to be forgotten in time by the look of it. Dust settled on every surface, the paint was faded and chipped off the walls. And most obvious was the large boxed tv that sat on a large counter nearby. The benches they sat on were old and torn with chucks of wood missing from parts. There was an old chalkboard there where messages were once written that had faded. Several old chairs were piled in one corner that were torn or had missing parts. The curtains that draped over the windows were faded and torn, looking more like old rags than anything. By the entrance were statues of the fighting wire frames that were missing parts.

*Timeskip*

"So it seems your dilemma is quite the predicament, I've thought over for a long time now on what you both have told me thus far. " Zelda spoke as she paced around the large room they were in. There was a headlamp on a desk nearby illuminating the portion of the large room they were in. "I want to try a few things first so we can see just what kind of predicament this is." She informs the silver haired twins. "When we have narrowed it down we shall be able to unveil the root of your suffering." She finished as she moved towards the back of the room disappearing into the darkness.

"We really appreciate this" Raven spoke up first as she stood from her seat.

"So what's the first thing you'd like us to do?" Robin says as he stands from his seat as well. They hear Zelda snap her fingers and a large bulb in the back lit up, Illuminating the center of the room. Where a pedestal stood with the Master Sword embedded into it.

"I had asked Link to leave me his weapon for this" she begins as they slowly approach. "Now for this I would like the two of you to place your hands on the holy blade. When it comes to purity, others may lie to themselves and lie to others, however they cannot lie to the blade of evil's bane." She informs them, "if there is evil upon you or within you, we'll know for sure here and now. Now please step forward and place your hands on the blade." She says as the twins look at each other before slowly stepping up to the blade. They both nod and slowly reach out with shaking hands before placing them firmly on the hilt. The blade seemed to hum as it glowed with a bluish tint.

Nothing came of it however and the tacticians just looked at one another for the longest time. A small sense of relief washed over them at that moment though. "Well we have our answer" Zelda says as she steps up in between them. "Something plaques you from inside that's for sure, however we can potentially eliminate the possibility of an entity being the root cause."

"The question remains however about why we seem to share similar nightmares" Robin states as the hylian princess hums in thought.

"I'm not so sure of that myself actually" she says, "however I'd still like to try a few more experiments before we jump to any conclusions at all." She quickly adds.

"When could we meet up with you again?" Raven asks as they all head towards the door.

"I'll have to check in with the Six, we have a certain predicament of our own we are trying to get around. I'll be in touch, take care." She finished and headed out the door.

"Well what do you make of it?" Robin asked his twin.

"I… I'm honestly… Lost…" She admits.

*Timeskip*

Raven walks into the rec room and sees Lucina awake, looking up at Robin with tinted cheeks. She leans against the doorframe with her arms crossed with an amused smile. "Well look who's finally up, morning sleepy head!" Raven pipes up a little exhilarated, making Lucina jump up startled but also ramming her head against Robin's face. He instantly awakes with a loud groan of pain while lifting up his hands towards his face as blood started oozing out his nose. Lucina quickly stands while gasping worriedly and Raven places a hand over her mouth while silently gasping.

"Oh gosh Robin are you ok!?" Lucina exclaims worriedly while nervously tapping on his arms. "I'm so sorry, i'm so sorry, i'm so sorry, i'm so sorry, i'm so sorry, i'm so sorry!" She says in quick succession while handing him a handkerchief for his nose.

"It's quite alright I assure you" he says calmly while taking the handkerchief and holding it against his nose and lifting his head up.

"Still though we should have Dr. Mario have that looked at" Raven says as she grabs Robin's arm and drags him away despite his protesting.

*Infirmary*

"I think you're obsessing over nothing." Robin states as Dr. Mario took a look at his nose.

"Well it ain't-a broken" he says.

"See" he says while turning towards Raven who was in the back.

"And it-a ain't exactly fine-a either!" The Dr states as Raven gives him a 'I told you so' look. He grabs Robin's face and with his index fingers he bends it back into place.

"Um, OOOOOOOOOOOOW!" Robin groaned as he placed his hands over his face.

"There, it should-a be fine now, watch where you're-a going next-a time you-a buffoon!" Dr. Mario says before stepping off his stool and walking away while shaking his head.

"Wow Lucina really did a number on your face huh" Raven said as she took Robin's head into her hands and looked him over.

"Is it that bad?" He says while slumping his shoulders.

"Nah, I'm just messing with you!" She says shortly after while smacking him on the nose.

"Ow! Stop that!" He protests as they head out of the infirmary. "Hey you don't think Lucina started getting plagued by nightmares because of us right?" Robin asks his twin who stopped and turned to him.

"No, a few others have had a similar nightmare of a large beast tearing this place apart. However something in my gut tells me this is something else entirely. And I know deep down you feel the same way." She responds.

"Yeah I know what you mean…" he says, "regardless something is coming and everyone can feel it so we must remain ever so vigilant." He says before he continued onwards but stopped before he turned a corner. "Do you still have doubts that Grima may still be around?" He says turning his head slightly.

"It gets harder and harder to deny it as time goes on…" She says as she slowly rubbed her arm while lowering her head.

"So what did Zelda say about this whole ordeal?" He asks as she sighed heavily.

"Well she wouldn't say much, however I do know that this whole ordeal has the Elite Six on edge." She says as he looked in thought. "She did say she knows exactly what they are dealing with as they have dealt with it before. This further proves my suspicions that this isn't related to our ordeal." She finished as she turned back around and resumed walking.

"I suppose you are right, well we should join the others for breakfast then." He says and quickly follows suit.

*timeskip*

"You see I told you it wasn't so bad and you were worried over nothing," Raven states as she crossed her arms. Robin just lowered his head as he leaned over the railing of the balcony he was at.

"She was discharged healthy as could be" he mumbled.

"You need to relax more, you are becoming too tense around her" she says leaning her back against the railing.

"You know exactly why I've been overly paranoid about her safety as of late..." He breathed out.

"Yeah, the nightmares haven't been getting any better despite Zelda's help." She said, sounding completely defeated.

"It's always her every time now, I almost lost her that day Raven." He says as he clenches his fists tightly. "That was a sign to me, one that was all too real!" he adds.

"Robin I don't think that our dreams had any correlation to the Giga Bowser incident." She assures him as he just exhaled deeply. "I think I can say with confidence that Lucina will not come to harm, again…" She says while she rubs his back as he keeps his head down.

"I-I don't know what I would have done had I lost her that day" He says.

"You feel so strongly about her, and yet you feel like you are the biggest threat to her..." She says as he lifts his head up looking up at the night sky. "I thought you'd like to know that she feels very strongly about you as well." She informs him as he slumped his shoulders

"And that is what I was afraid of…" he says, lowering his head again.

"Why do I get the feeling you are planning to do something drastic and stupid?" She says while giving him a stern look. He just averted his gaze away while she just leaned back again with a heavy sigh. "Where is Lucina anyway, I didn't see her join the others for dinner?" She asked.

"She went out into the back gardens with Marth" he said with a shrug.

*The night of the fall*

She smiled as she stared up at him and him at her being hand in hand. In the hall leading to the balcony however a figure steps out into the hall. They begin to frantically run at the pair as they begin to fade away. They started to inch closer to each other ever so slightly, Robin knew he couldn't hide his true feelings anymore as it ate at him. The figure shouts at the top of her lungs in one last desperate attempt but by then it was reduced to but whisper in the wind. A gust of wind rushes down the hall left behind by the vanishing figure, it quickly makes it to the balcony briskly passing Robin and Lucina.

"ROBIN!" He suddenly heard Lucina's panicked and fearful cry ring in his ears. The image of her dying in his arms flashed before his eyes. He snapped out of his trance then and there, taking in short panicked breaths. He feared now that this is what his dream meant, that if they go down this path his worst fears will come to fruition. He knew he had to make a terrible choice, he placed two fingers on her lips and stepped back "Lucina look" he began, "we can't do this..." he said solemnly.

*Several days after the falling out*

Robin exhaled deeply, these past few days were a little rough around the edges for him. He had received a fair share of bashings, both physically and mentally. However he still feels that what he did was justified in the end. He heads towards the library where he knows he would be left in peace. He figured he'd focus more on his dilemma than pointless quarrels. He opens the door to see his twin standing there looking quite agitated. Before he could say anything her hand moves quickly giving him a firm slap across the face.

"GAH You too?!" He exclaims while he flails his arms around.

"I'm sorry, it's just that, how could you?!" She says as she crosses her arms. Robin just sighs walking over towards a seat and slumping down on it.

"I didn't want it to come to this, however, I feel like it was going too far and getting out of hand. I had no choice in the matter, my hands were tied…" he explained.

"Robin, you could have gone about it differently, you completely crushed the poor girl!" Raven says taking a seat next to her twin.

"I…" he says before breathing out heavily. "I think it's for the best…" He says lowering himself in his seat.

"You've left her hollow inside now, you completely broke her spirit, you can't leave things like this." she says but he just stood up and began to walk away. "Robin! She's broken inside!" She protested but he just slightly turned his head before he proceeded to leave. She was too tired to try and argue with him again, since it was rather pointless he just ignored her regardless. She heads up to her room and just prepares for bed, she'll try and coax him into something another day.

*shortly after*

Raven awoke in the middle of the night suddenly. She turns in bed to face the ceiling trying to get comfortable again. Before she closed her eyes however and noticed a shadow standing over her. It had things protruding from its body and it looked like a horrified mess. Raven sits up in her bed and screams in horror while Shulk flies out of his bed and turns on the lights.

They both see Lucina standing there mumbling to herself as she stared down at Raven with cold empty eyes. She looked like a mess, unkept messy hair, ragged and faded clothes. "Lucina dear naga you gave me a heart attack!" Raven says with a hand over her chest trying to calm herself.

"How is she so silent?!" Shulk exclaims as this is the 5th time they've found her out of her room in a random location in the middle of the night.

"Hey Lucina, hey, hey." Raven said waving a hand in the bluenettes face. "Why are you out of bed again?" She asks her but she just kept mumbling incoherently to herself. "Alright let's get you back in bed..." Raven sighs, taking her hand and leading her away.

"I double locked the door!" Shulk exclaimed, still utterly confused on how the swordswoman got in.

When Raven reached her room she pounded on the doors and waited with the bluenette still mumbling to herself. Dark Pit opens the door while squinting his eyes and his hair a complete mess. He saw Lucina and understood instantly what was going on. He just slammed his head against the wall while loudly groaning. "Dammit blue…" He groaned lazily before opening the door fully and motioning them inside.

"I thought you'd said you would keep an eye on her?" Robin said. Leading the clueless ylissean princess into her room.

"What do I look like a nanny?" Dark Pit said grudgingly.

"Alright, get some sleep ok, you promise me you'll stay put this time?" Raven says as she tucks Lucina into her bed.

"You know Dr Mario has bed restraints" Dark Pit said while leaning against his bed. Raven turned to give him a look then back at Lucina who was looking out a window.

"No, NO, why am I even considering this!" Raven shook her head while walking away.

"You got any better ideas?" Dark Pit asked as he crossed his arms.

"She's not crazy!" Raven protested turning towards Lucina who was still mumbling to herself incoherently.

"Alright but if this happens again, I'm going to restrain her." Pittoo says with a sly shrug.

"It won't happen again, but make sure to lock the windows and doors just to be sure…" Raven said looking back at the bluenette unsurly.

"Oh yeah, cause I was planning on leaving them wide open for the hell of it." He says as he gets back into his bed tired and frustrated. Raven shot him a quick glare before she headed off back to her room to go back to sleep, or at least try.

Needless to say it happened again, and as promised she was restrained at nights, it didn't help…

*timeskip*

Robin felt conflicted. He felt at that moment that what he did hurt him more than he hurt her. He just stared at the door before him with a saddened gaze. He couldn't muster the courage to enter that room and face what was inside.

"Robin?" Someone called from behind him but he kept his gaze fixated on the door. "You can't keep doing this" Raven said as she took his arm turning him around. She saw he was holding some items in them however.

"She hasn't come down to eat in a while, I-I thought I'd bring her something…" He said, opening his hands to show some toast and a bottle of water.

"Here I'll take care of this," she says. Taking the items from him, she pats him on the shoulder as she asses him looking at his conflicted eyes. She turns towards the door and knocks. Before heading into the room, Robin watched as the door slowly closed behind her and walked off.

Raven steps out again shortly after, she slowly closes the door placing her back against it with a sad sigh, slumping her shoulders before walking off. From around the corner Robin stepped out walking towards the door again stopping mere inches from it. He stared down at his hand firmly grasping the knob. He deeply sighs placing his head against the door before he turns around momentarily and walks away.

*day of the triathlon*

Robin was high up in a tree with a snare prepared, he could see his partner waiting in the foliage for his signal. He saw two others coming by and snared the one in the back quickly before his partner could take notice. He jumps down and looks on in dread when he realizes who he ran into. "Why did it have to be you…" He mentally thought as she seemed to be prepared to attack him. He didn't blame her, she wanted to hurt him just as he had done to her.

She rushes him but despite this he made no movement whatsoever, he didn't even seem bothered that she was charging at him at all. Before she even reached him a large hand came from the foliage grabbing her by the throat. Ganondorf emerges from the dense jungle completely raising her off the floor with an evil smirk. He had forgotten that he had Ganon wait to ambush as the second step of his plan. "Your plan worked perfectly, tactician!" he says as Robin just stood stoically by and turned his back to them.

"Please don't make her suffer any more than she has, make it quick..." he says mentally as he closes his eyes.

"Why don't you fight me yourself you coward!" Lucina frustratingly breathed out as she flailed in Ganon's iron grip. He could feel her hard gaze on him glaring with fury.

"This one is a feisty one" Ganon mused before he started tightening his grip on her.

He had dropped his guard however and Dark Pit wrapped his legs around him from up above. He managed to get the snare off and drop Robin to the floor. He jumps up and puts Ganon in a strong chokehold, making sure to lock his arms tightly around the gerudo. This of course caused him to drop Lucina and attempt to get the dark angel off his back. The bluenette drops to the floor gasping for air and coughing. Ganon backs up into a tree and smashes DP into it.

As Lucina begins to slowly get up to her feet again she sees Robin slowly getting up as well. She dashes at him but he scrambles to his feet and blocks her kick. "Please don't do this…" he wanted to plead, but he knew she wouldn't listen, he thought she only held hatred for him now. She tries to make another move again but he moves behind her and moves his arms under hers and locks them behind her head, completely rendering her movements. He wasn't finished yet though as he began to slowly walk her towards a tar pit. When she eventually caught on with his plan she tried planting both her feet firmly on the ground to hinder his movement. However he simply kicked her feet from under her and continued to drag her to her demise. "I don't want to do this, please I beg you, leave…" He says to himself mentally. "Forgive me Lucina, but we are in a tournament after all." He says at the edge of the pit before shoving her forwards. He held out his hand slightly however so she would grab it and not fall in. He planned to pretend to fall over so she would hopefully flee. Though the momentum caused him to lose his footing and they both fell in with a loud splash and began to quickly sink into the pit. He could see her struggling as she was being consumed by the pit.

Robin grabs onto a branch and slowly starts to drag himself out. He meets her gaze, seeing the panic in her eyes. "I can't leave her to suffer..." he says mentally and throws the branch her way. She holds out her hands and catched it using it to free herself from the pit. She turns around to see Robin submerged to his chin now and he closes his eyes and accepts his fate...

*later*

"Look what we have here, it's her again!" Ganon said with a wicked smirk as they came across the bluenette stuck in Raven's 'web.' Robin holds out his arm halting the large man.

"This was her doing" he states, the large man balled up his fists as he looked around.

"I don't see her," he says. It Seemed these two probably fell victim to one of Raven's tricks.

"Patience my consciences friend, where there is a web, a spider may be lurking not too far away." Robin states while Lucina glared at him. She knew she wasn't in any position to do anything so she thought best to keep a lid on it for now.

"What do you suggest?" The gerudo asked as he crossed his large arms, arching one of his orange brows.

"Throw her off guard, and spring our own trap." He says as he approaches Lucina, before she could say anything he cut her loose. "Hide" he simply states ushering her along, she didn't, or rather couldn't protest. If she tried anything she was sure the large gerudo would make short work of her. The fact also remained that he seemed to still be salty about their encounter earlier. She goes behind a large rock as Robin climbs it motioning her to stay put.

Shortly after they hear an explosion followed by a flash of light a short distance away. "Now where were we?" They hear Raven call out as she splashes her way back slowly to where Lucina was. She peeks behind the rock only to find the bluenette had escaped. She takes a step back and turns around and is then grabbed by a large hand and lifted off the ground. She was completely taken by surprise by Ganondorf. He glaring at her as she struggled in his hold, remembering their last encounter.

"It's good to see you again dear sister" Robin calls out sitting atop the rock behind them. "You didn't forget about us, did you?" He says while she continued to smack Ganon's arm.

"Let me go you big oaf!" She exclaimed while still struggling in the gerudos hold. "What did you do to Lucina?!" She breathes out as Robin jumps down from the rock he was on. He then simply makes a hand gesture to the large rock he was on as Lucina slowly slides out from behind it. "No… Gah!" Raven breathed out as Lucina turned around to face Robin.

"This doesn't change anything!" Lucina states bluntly to the tactician who just kept his gaze straight.

"I know, and I wouldn't expect it too" he replied as she began to walk away. "Now sister, you wouldn't happen to have those points I lent you by any chance right?" He says as Ganon slams her against one of the rocks.

"I have your points right here!" She says taking some sand she collected earlier and throwing it into Ganon's eyes. The large Gerudo released her while rubbing his stinging eyes. He swings at her but she throws herself out of the way as he crushes the rock behind her.

As the two duked it out Robin sat on a nearby boulder with a heavy sigh. He had won, he had succeeded in his initial plan, but at a great cost. Despite there being a fierce battle raging behind him he couldn't care less. He no longer was interested in this ordeal, he initially thought this triathlon would help him clear his mind. It did the opposite however. Shortly after the ground shakes as two giant rocks fall over each other right unto the gerudo.

Raven comes up to him looking like hell and panting hard, she sighs heavily before she takes a seat next to her twin. He kept his gaze fixated towards where Lucina had taken off to. "Why do you keep doing this to yourself?" She breathed out. He turned to face her but just waved her off returning his gaze towards the distance. "Don't think I don't know what you did." She says as he exhaled heavily.

"I know I can't hide anything from you, we technically share the same mind." Robin states as he shifted in place. "You know why I choose to go down this path, it makes it easier." He said while she brushed the hair sticking to her face away.

"For who, for you or her?" She asked as he just turned and gave her a quick look before turning back. "You wanted her to hate you instead of love you, you deliberately made yourself seem like a heartless monster while justifying yourself." She said gazing off into the distance. "Well it seemed your plan worked, however, I know deep down she still believes it's a lie. I'm sure you know this too." She states.

"Unfortunately..." he breathed out slowly bobbing his head. "Hopefully she'll change her belief and move on." He says leaning back and sinking himself lower.

"But deep down you don't really want that, do you?" Raven adds. They both sat there for a good minute before she got up. "Well like I said, I can't really let her escape with the amount she is worth currently" Raven says as she prepares to leave but Robin grabs her arm holding her back. "You want to stop me?" She scoffed, "Come now Robin, I know your hearts not in this anymore." She claims while brushing his arm off.

"You best keep running then, I don't think my partner will appreciate being buried twice. I won't be able to hold him back forever, so just know I warned you in advance." He states as she waved him off.

"Oh I'm not worried about him, that big oaf is too clumsy for his own good." Raven says, despite her still looking like hell after a short tussle with the gerudo. With that she turned and went off after her previous prey, to finish what she started. The rocks behind him begin to rumble and soon they crumble to pieces as the king of evil emerges from them.

"She escaped my grasp" he simply states before the large man could ask.

"You don't seem too bothered by it" he huffs.

"Well it's better if we trek slowly rather than go in half cocked, if we do we'll just play right into her hands." Robin says assuringly, the large man just grunted with a nod as he crossed his large arms.

"Fair point" he grumbles.

"Worry not, I still have multiple contingency plans to get us through and to the top ranks." Robin says as he takes a deep breath and then stands up.

*Present day*

"HADOUKEN!" he hears a powerful shout echo through the vicinity as he approaches. He had gotten the news they were under attack and Robin quickly rushed towards the front to assess the situation. He makes it to the front gates and sees Lucina trying to hold off a large man with white clothes and a black belt around his waist. A red bandana wrapped around his head with red gloves covering his hands. And bulging muscles covering this hunk of a man's body.

"HADOUKEN!" he shouts again protruding his arms forward clasped together with his palms outwards, blasting Lucina with a blue ki blast. It the force of it knocks her back sending her unto the floor causing her to lose her sword. The large man wasted no time in approaching her ready to deal his next attack.

Robin quickly dashes at them taking his Levin sword out and preparing his attack. "Archfire!" He exclaimed, sending a large burst of flames towards the man effectively pushing him back.

"I don't need your help!" Lucina calls out as she retrieves her sword, using it to force herself unto her shaking legs.

"Stay back, you're in no condition to continue!" he states slightly turning his head to see her struggle to compose herself. He then quickly ducks out of the way as a large fist comes whistling past him. He rolls away as the man tries to sweep Robin's feet from under him. He waits for the large man to come charging at him again as a smirk spreads across his face. Before the man could strike him, Robin unleashes a Thoron on him, striking the large man dead in the chest with the electrical beam sending him backwards crashing into the ground.

The large man however was back on his feet again in a split second. Though it seems that all Robin had managed to do was anger the large man, he had poked the bear. The man leaps into the air and prepares to bring his fist down on him. Robin however leaps aside and uses Elwind to try and put some distance between him to charge his next attack. However the large man moved faster than anticipated and grabbed him by the ankle and slammed him into the ground. He tried to smash him in but Robin rolled away and stood up while coughing a little and holding his abdomen. "HADOUKEN!" He shouts sending another burst of blue ki at the tactician, he sidesteps the attack as the large man quickly follows it up with a powerful spinning kick.

"Can't we just talk this out?" Robin breathes out exasperated.

"Talk is cheap!" The man states bluntly while holding out his fist.

Robin groans and prepares his next as the man comes dashing at him. He sweeps at Robin but the tactician rolls away before casting Archthunder on the man pushing him into the gates of the mansion. The man seemed to be lowering on his high amount of stamina as he stopped charging at Robin so much. "HADOUKEN!" He shouts sending out a larger blast of blue ki at the tactician. Robin dashes to the side to avoid it as his next attack finishes charging. The man stood in his place focusing as he was surrounded by a black mist. This was the opening Robin needed to unleash his next attack. He threw an even more powerful Thoron at the large man, Robin was sure this would bring him down or at the very least weaken him greatly.

When his attack cleared Robin was surprised and taken aback to see the man completely unscathed. The man then throws a powerful straight punch at the stunned tactician, the hit knocks him back slamming him into the wall embedding him into it, bricks and debris go flying in every direction. After the air clears Robin weakly lifts his head to see his opponent approach. He picks up a duffel bag and swings it over his shoulder while turning towards the Mansion behind. "The journey... has just begun." He states as Robin's vision goes dark and the world fades out.
