Piña felt anxious as she and king Duran enters a black Iron carriage called a 'car' for today would be the day she saw the other-world or Earth as the Americans called it. "Excuse me man, but what is the meaning of these straps?" Duran asked one of the men wearing a back suit and matching glasses thought it was Piña who answered. "These are called seat belts, you pull them across your body and place the metal end in this buckle there. It's so if we get in an accident then you'll substantially decrease your chances at serious injury or worse." Duran from the looks of it impressed. "King Duran, what do you think the other-world will be like?" The old king chuckled, "I don't know but I know there a potential for endless wonder." He answered and the car engine started. The butterflies in her gut grew as the car backed out of the parking space and drove straight for the gate, the thing that started it all. Piña held her breath as they entered, a dark void swallowed them like a beast and all was pure black other then the car lights and a blue hue that surrounded the vehicle.
The minutes passed like hours as they traveled through time and space itself. In the back her mind fears slowly bubbled, a piece of her believing the worse had happened and they were lost in the vacuum of the void. It would've consumed her had it not been for the dim light some distance ahead of them that was slowly getting bigger. "We're almost there." Informed the man on the right side while the one driving stayed quiet. 'This is it, here we go!' She braced herself as the light grew closer and closer until it disappointedly was nothing more then a interior of a dome with artificial light illuminating the space. "What's this?" Duran said puzzled then suddenly there was a groaning noise and what were metal doors began to open, blinding them in the bright light. When her eyes finally adjusted, she was meet with something that only could be created by the gods themselves. What she saw were giant glass buildings that touched the heavens, herds of cars driving by, massive tables with moving pictures, it was truly something otherworldly. After a gate in front of them opened their car set off into this new world. "Welcome to New York city." Says of the men in black.
For most of the car trip her scenes were bombarded with all the flashy advertisements everywhere that littered the streets of this city and piña like a little child stared at aw. Duran was extremely impressed, "Even Rondel cannot complete with this city!" He ploclaimed, "The empire has made a terrible mistake picking enemies with these lands." Hearing that Piña knew she had to end this, there was no real option for the empire to win the war. As much as she hated it the Americans made even the nobility look like helpless peasants and felt a ting of embarrassment for how her grand empire looked backwards to the Americans' homeland. To add insult to injury they soon drove across a giant stone bridge spanning a river equivalent the river Etna the flowed through the capital city, steel ropes that were connected to massive arches that towered over the roads it cradled. She had heard stories from a few survivors that had made it from the gate claiming the scale of the city but to see it with her own eyes was something else.
After a bit they reached a giant white building with cars and people bustling around. One of the men in black opened the back door and says, "Please, follow us and stay close." The two exit the vehicle and are instantly barraged with flashes and people asking millions of questions the same time will their guards sho them away. It takes a couple minutes they reach this large room with equally large windows looking on outside, with a clear view on what is called a 'plane', completely white with long wings with large barrels on each, a cylinder body and small windows in a straight row. 'So this is who they travel?' She thinks, 'It's like riding on a giant wyvern.' To enter the plane they most cross this enclose walkway as if they were boarding a ship. As she climbed her why up she felt more and more excited like a little child waiting to open a gift and once that slick door opened were was not disappointed. The interior had a blue rug that covered the entire floor and stunningly fabulous all leather seats with a small table made of cherry tree wood. "We're about to take off soon so take a seat and please fasten up your seat beats, this flight should only take about fifty minutes." without question Duran and Piña sat down and buckled in, ready for this flight.
-Fifty minutes later
Piña was so glad to be off the contraption, as much as she enjoyed the speed and luxury, she was terrified to even look outside the window they were so high. She wasted no time to get on solid ground and hurried into another black car on which she'd be driven to her destination. The moment she entered the backseat she spaced out, sometime hearing about a 'white house' but nothing more as buildings, cars and people went by through her window. She immediately could tell their capital was very different then Sadera, instead of houses lined up in sorta-organized rows there were businesses and statues and memorials everywhere with people taking pictures. It'd seemed so odd yet fascinating at the same time. She wondered who the American leader would be, bold? Wise? Calculating? Who knew? She was so caught up in her thoughts that she jumped when king Duran said, "We're here princess."
She was pulled out of her trance and looked to see the car was driving through a gate and in front of a building with a larger on behind which was most likely the main part of the palace, it like the ones found at home had columns but was unnaturally white and overall modest when compared to the palaces of the royal family and nobles who competed to have the most lavish homes of them all. The two guests got out and followed the security inside. There was a lobby with beautiful portraits of people with men in similar suits of the men guarding her and Duran while women wore elegant dresses. It was to say the least impressive how a country that supposedly had no nobles and were by the empire's standards barbarians, could be so sophisticated. They continued on until they reach a door, a guard opened it to reveal a room in the shape of a oval with a blue rug that had a seal and a pertixular man with greying hair wearing glasses waiting for them.
He gave a warm smile and walked up to the guests, "Hello, I'm President Reed and welcome to the united states of America. I do hope there weren't any troubles on your trip here." He said kindly and shook hands will both of them. "I am King Duran the V of Elbe, It's a pleasure to meet you sir." "And I'm Princess Piña co lada, daughter of Emperor molt of the empire." "Ah, so you really do just call your nation 'the empire.' He remarked, "While it's quite impressive you've managed to expand the borders of Saderan to most of Falmart, I haven't aranged this meeting just to compliment each other. Please, sit with me."
He led them to a small table with chairs gathered around with another man waiting. "This is Ambassador Alexander stockman, he'll be the one representing the United states in the hopefully soon peace negotiations." Stockman had blond hair with dark blue eyes and was more stoic. "Pleasure to meet you both." He greeted and like the president he shook hands, everyone sitting down after introductions were done. On the small table was a packet of paper which would be the formal end of Elbian support in the war and end of Saderan supremacy over the resource rich kingdom.
"Now then, what do you wish from my kingdom?" Asked the aging king, to which the ambassador seemingly gladly responded. "Overall, we wish for Elbe to make peace with Sadera, pay a million Suwani and allow American excess into your country for some time." Piña looked at him, pondering hard as he needed to make sure his country got the best outcome for its survival.

Smith's felt the tank jolt as it fired another round at the clump of armored ogres, blowing off the head of one and stunning a handful more. High command not wanting to fight a Afghanistan style guerrilla warfare on a peninsular level so purposely pulled back units, making the enemy believe they retreating but in reality being pulled into a trap. This force of a estimated 120,000 strong army now boxed in on two sides with their backs to the Rho river, the largest river in the continent and possibly the world. This army however had thousands of ogres the size of small house which was nearly impervious by infantry small arms but easily dealt with by heavy firepower.
"Come on Pérez, load in another!"'shouted Smith as one ogre came closer. "Your clear!" One the way!" The ogre fell back as the top half was blown to bits, small pieces of small flesh flying everywhere. "One less fucker." Said Williams as he set his sight now on a lump of enemy troops attempting to March through a hail of gunfire. "On the way!" BANG!!! The cannon thundered and shortly later the formation of men were vaporized instantly. Then there was a faint droning noise and then the radio began crackling, "This is Delta 1-6, coming in hot." Throw the looking ports the crew could see the fantasy army running towards the river, possibly terrified at what in their minds was flying beasts heading towards them though it was all in vain.
Suddenly dirt flew up in the air and rest mist formed a few seconds before there was a loud BBBBRRRR!!! The famous A-10 Warthogs had come to feast on what was left of their foe. From the corner of his eye he could see multiple things falling to the ground before erupting into massive fire balls on the river shore, engulfed hundreds, possibly thousands of men as they foolishly ran in huddled groups like sardines. Even as it began to rain the giant fire continued and then Smith in the distance could see a horrifying sight. Emerging from the fire were men fully engulfed in the flames screaming as they attempted to put themselves out. "Sweet Jesus.." Mumbled Williams as he looked on with horror, even being about two miles away they could clearly hear their pleas for help. Pérez meanwhile clutched his rosary and silently prayed while Mckey felt sick. Even Smith how had seen white phosphorus in action during his time in Iraq held disturbed, memories flooding his mind as no body spoke. The Mk 77 incendiary bombs had done their job of cutting off the enemy's escape and men who were not dead, wounded or in the fetal position crying raised their hands up.
This battle had lasted for two hours and in Smith's mind he hoped that these vassals of the empire would just give up. This war was one hundred percent justified but even so these men who had most likely only wanted to fight for their homeland were being sacrificed into the meat grinder by the nobles. The seasoned tanker believed that after this they had to give up or risk facing annihilation, unknown to him he'd be proven correctly in just a few days time.

The princess felt a sigh of relief when she saw the tall walls that surrounded the capital city, the very same one that had been the birthplace of the empire in the distance. It'd been two months since she had heard anything from her family and they probably though she along with her knights had been killed or worse. Piña saw peasants who were working on the land starring at her as they'd never seen a royal before and honestly made her uncomfortable, knowing that her family were seen as gods while they sent men and boys who could barely read to the slaughter.
Finally after a very long ride Piña, Hamilton and the oder of the roses knights arrived at the great castle gate. In front of this might structure was two Imperial guards who stood firm. "I am princess Piña Co Lada, and I ask that you allow me and my knights access to the city." The guards seemed to be shocked but kept their composure. "Yes your highness, open the gate!" One shouted to third on the wall. The gate groaned as the two massive doors opened to reveal the city.
"Home sweet home." She looked to her servant Hamilton who sighed with relief of being home after being away for so long. "I know dear Hamilton, and hopefully soon we can end this cursed war for good." Her three days spent in America had all but smashed her world view and what she previously thought to be the norm. The Americans compared to the Saderans were living gods, gifted with the knowledge to touch the heavens while the empire and vassals, even the mages in Rondel were ignorant of the infinite possibilities for mankind to ascend. The treaty Duran had signed was a peace and defense treaty stating that while the kingdom would be monitored, it'd after the end of hostilities would be under the firm protection of the United states.
Piña found herself instead of being glad she was home unharmed and more fearful of what might happen to her country. Once the war was over she knew Sadera would be punished for it's reckless actions and be forced to step down from her place as the greatest superpower of the continent. What made it worse the politicians and nobles wouldn't concede so easily and would push back, harming Sadera even further.
That's why they allowed her to return to hopefully persuade her father and the senate to surrender. Her throat became dry as she came closer to the gates leading to Sadera hill, where the royal family and their many servants resided. Once she gained access and got off her horse speed her way into the main Imperial palace, with one thing on her mind.
She ignored all the maids and all the Imperial guards as her mind tunnel visioned, 'I must end this, I cannot allow the empire to fall now.' She told herself and steeled her nerves as she pushed the doors opened and made her way inside the throne room, for there her destiny awaited.
Finally Piña has visited the United states and met the president. From now on until Zorzal makes his move there will be more talking as the Saderan empire prepares to choose peace or annihilation. See ya'll next time!
