Guest: Uhhhh… well let me apologize in advance if I misunderstood anything and or something just flew over my head. I tend to be slow most days and it takes me a while to understand something, and if I can't I kinda throw in the towel and give up.
Now for starters, no. It isn't an interrupting question, in fact any and all questions are always welcomed and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. And yes I have a list like that, I have a list of all the fighters, and who they partnered with, and a special list of guests that a smasher would bring if they had the opportunity. No, assist trophies and pokeball summoned pokemons are not residents. Also idk if this is something wise to admit or not but… Well basically these last two chapters weren't a dedication to Kirby's anniversary or anything, I wasn't even aware tbh. See the chapters are already planned out well in advance so anniversary or not this chapter still would've been the same regardless. If I were to dedicate arcs to anniversaries I'd drive myself insane trying to keep up with everyone and everything, but that's just me. However this concept would be perfect for a one-shot all on its own, maybe it would end with some sort of celebratory conclusion. Also you mentioned them trying to figure out why they are mainly concentrated in Japan, and well the problem with that is that I'm trying to not make any direct connection to the real world in this story. And since they all come from fictional worlds I don't think anyone would have a clue what Japan is. I do however make spoofs of things from our world however that doesn't mean it's exactly what we have here. And I know this might be confusing since like the lore and everything of the actual smash games is convoluted as heck, like based on interaction I saw characters have with a amiibo in another game claiming they're not the actual person but a smash bros copy, so like trophies are trophies and have nothing to do with their non smash counterparts apparently. And finally non smash characters will definitely not appear without some sort of correlation with someone who is already in the game. So like, for example, don't expect someone like Leon Kennedy to appear, even though he is from Capcom. By connection I mean being in that character's universe and not connected to them by company or brand. I did slightly bend the rules for smash ultimate characters making cameos because they are actually in universe technically. And visitors week but that was because those guests had a direct connection to current residents. Also I myself don't know what a "soul boss" is let alone what a "magic gunner" and "ace of aces" is referring to, unless you're referring to the Mii's?
"Wow it's really starting to come down hard…" Pit says as they check out of the next store. He had bought what looked like a giant piece of jerky, and again a bunch of snacks. "Oh why didn't I bring my umbrella!" Pit said with a snap of his fingers.
"Poyo!" Kirby replies before coughing up a large umbrella from out of nowhere.
"This partnership couldn't get any better!" Pit says cheerfully while taking it up off the floor and walking out. He unfolds the overly large umbrella and walks down the street while humming, there was no need to float this time around as the next store was down the street conveniently. Up above them however a certain masked puffball reached the end of the buildings he's been following. He landed and perched himself on the edge of a building overlooking the street, looking for something bright pink. The sky above them rumbled as a sheet of rain continued to pelt the large city. He groans in frustration seeing as how everyone was now under an umbrella so it would be impossible for him to spot them from above. Meaning he had to get on ground level without being seen as well.
"How are you doing back there bud?" Pit asks while turning to look behind him. Kirby smiled back at him while waving his little arm, "that's good, we just need to wait for this light to let us cross." He says while taping his foot on the ground. The little walking symbol turns on and Pit quickly crosses the street seeing their destination in sight. He pushed open the door to the little shop making the little bell atop the door ding. He stopped in confusion immediately as there were just candles everywhere, the store had a strong scent wafting through it from all the scents fusing with one another. Pit looked down at his piece of paper making sure he was in the right place, which apparently he was. He just approached the front counter where an old man sat who was shining an old lantern.
"You look lost, son," he says, even without looking up from his work.
"Uhh a friend of mine sent me to retrieve something for her but it seems like I'm in the wrong place." He says nervously all while Kirby stares at a box of cake scented candles.
"And who would this friend be?" He asked while turning his gaze towards the puzzled angel.
"Oh she's Lu-" he began but then stopped himself, of course she wouldn't give out her real name as it was forbidden. He thought for a minute wondering what he could say to let him know it was Lucina without telling it was Lucina.
"What was that again?" He asked while Pit nervously cleared his throat.
"You know I didn't really catch her name actually…" He said sheepishly while the shopkeeper gave him an odd look.
"You don't know the name of your own friend?" He remarked.
"Well we had just met actually, but she was very blue actually" he says while the shopkeeper looks in thought.
"Oh! And she's always with this grumpy looking guy who is always having a bad time" He adds while the shopkeeper smiles while silently going 'ahhh.'
"You must mean Lucy, yeah she's a frequent visitor around here. Though we tend to just call her blue eyes" He says while reaching under the counter and placing a small wrapped up bag on the counter.
"Why is that?" Pit asked curiously.
"Oh because she always comes in looking different every time with any and all colors imaginable, one thing never changes about her however." He replies while Pit hands him the money.
"Her eyes," Pit says as it all started to make sense to him.
"Poyo!" Kirby suddenly says while Pit turns around and sees him pointing at the cake scented candles.
"Those aren't food, bud" Pit says but Kirby still seemed fixated on them anyway.
"Poyo poyo" Kirby replied while still waving his stubby arms towards the candles.
"Oh you want them for your room?" Pit asked while Kirby nodded and extended his stubby arms again. "Well I suppose you can, it's not like you'll get an opportunity to shop for personal items again." Pit says taking the box and placing it on the counter and handing him the card. "Oh and give me a pack of the endless flavor gum!"
"Never thought I'd see a living backpack interested in personal items" the shopkeep says while Pit just shrugged.
"Yeah he's a rare kind." Pit Replies while putting the candles away and then begins to head out. "Well buddy we only got like three more stores to hit before our quest ends." Pit says while looking around as the rain let up a bit and now it was a gentle sprinkle. He takes out his umbrella again and pops it open, hanging it over his shoulder as he begins to walk away.
"Poyo poyo!" Kirby says cheerfully. When they walk past an open alley something swoops in and grabs them both startling both the angel and pink puffball. "Poyo!" Kirby exclaimed, completely startled.
"Ahhh I don't know!" Pit replies before he is dropped and he rolls around on the floor for a bit before coming to a stop. He just groans and slowly lifts his head just to see something skid to a halt at the end of the alley. It turns around revealing it to be none other than Meta Knight.
"I have orders to bring you in by Master Hand, and Kirby you know you're not allowed to be here." MK says as his wings turn back into his cape that sways in the wind.
"Poyo!" Kirby challenges.
"That's right, he's staying with me and we're staying here!" Pit says as he gets up and points his finger at the ground.
"I was hoping we could solve this without conflict but if you insist" MK says as he pulls out his sword and swings it around.
"H-How!?" Pit says in disbelief as their weapons weren't allowed out here and on top of that don't function outside of the mansion.
"You are both in serious trouble!" He says sternly, "I'll give you one last chance to come peacefully." He warns while Pit and Kirby look at each other and nod.
"We're staying!" Pit says sternly before he sees a flash and Meta Knight appears in front of him. His eyes go wide as he drops to the floor while MK's sword swoops above him. MK then flies up and prepares to swoop down again. "What do we do!?" He says in a panic while Kirby looks around.
"Poyo!" Kirby says while pointing at a nearby trash can lid. Pit nods and rushes towards it as MK swoops down at them. Pit lifts up the lid and hears a loud thud as MK's sword makes contact with it. Pit then begins to counter MK's swift swings with the lid as he was fully alert now, and MK wasn't so much trying to chop him to pieces but hit Pit with the flat sides of his blade. "Poyo Poyo!" Kirbys proposed to the angel as he pushes MK back from them, MK then wraps his cape around himself and vanishes.
"Let's do this!" Pit says getting ready while Kirby also prepares himself for something drastic.
"Come!" MK shouts as he reappears and Pit quickly raises his 'shield' to block his attack. His sword makes contact and he immediately disappears again. Pit looks left and right for the masked puffball anticipating an attack at any moment. "Fight me!" They hear from above and Pit quickly ducks out of the way as MK swoops above him.
"Now!" Pit shouts and he unstraps Kirby from his back holding him firmly in his hand. MK quickly turns around to swoop down again, that is until he notices Kirby come barreling towards him. He flaps his wings to try and hault himself but by then it is too late and Kirby latches himself to his mask. MK swoops around crashing into things while trying to pry Kirby off his mask, by the time Kirby lets go he realizes that they planted a trap for him as he flies face first into the trash can lid with a loud ding and leaves a pretty noticeable indent on it. Mk then falls to the floor in a daze, placing a hand over his mask before shaking his body. He turns to glare at Pit but before he gets into a battle stance they hear a very loud and audible crack. MKs eyes go wide as a large crack spreads across his mask before it splits in half and falls to the floor. Lighting flashes above them as the skies roar, MK blinks twice before looking horrified at his reflection in the lid. He quickly wraps his cape around himself and vanishes into thin air immediately after. Pit takes a couple of steps back and drops the lid in complete shock.
"H-he l-looks…" Pit blurts out while pointing a shaking finger towards Kirby. Kirby just looks at the angel puzzled for a bit while Kirby tilts to the left and then the right.
"Poyo?" He asked curiously.
"No, no one really knew it's not like he ever let anyone see him without it…" Pit replies and then heads over to pick up Kirby and places him on his back again. "What's this?" He asked, seeing something shining on the floor and picked it up. "Here you go bud you keep this" Pit says giving Kirby the little pin looking thing in the shape of a star. Kirby swallows the thing and then his ability sound is heard again.
"Poyo! Poyo!" He chimes excitedly while Pit looks back surprised.
"Really? You unlocked super jumps? Well I guess we got our first upgrade of our quest." Pit says while Kirby waves his little arms in the air. "I guess it's a good thing too since our next stop is quite a ways away!" Pit adds while Kirby nods and then begins to puff up which really blasted them off. He was puffing around as if he would be wearing bunny ears in a match. "Woah!" Pit says while they zoom past the city far above.
*Master Hand's office*
"Ah there you are" MH says, turning his chair around as Lucina and Raven enter his office. Robin was already there off to the far side leaving against the wall looking down at a book in his hand. Not only the tactician but Link was also there standing in front of MH's desk with his arms crossed. Raven and Lucina approach his desk and take a seat on the two chairs in front of the desk. "Let us begin my friends" he begins, motioning towards Robin in the back to step forward. He clasps his book shut and walks over towards them taking a seat on the armrest of the chair Raven was on. "As you know, due to some complications we have had some late arrivals and even surprise arrivals. Speaking of which the next two individuals are due to arrive any minute now, of course they come from the dimension you all call home." He explained while motioning towards the Fire Emblem smashers.
"Ah I see, so you need us to greet them and help them get accustomed, since they'll be more trusting being around warriors one would expect to bump into back home." Raven speaks up while adjusting in her seat and leaning forward.
"Yes, and of course I specifically need you both at the helm of this operation." MH replies while looking over at the twins, they turn towards each other then back at the hand.
"And why is that, sir?"
"And why is that, sir?"
They say in unison, MH just leaned back in his seat motioning towards them with his hand as if to say 'that's why' while Lucina looks at Link puzzled. "You see the new individuals are, such as yourselves, 'twins' so to speak." He explained.
"Well then" Robin says, placing his hand on Raven's shoulder. "I'm sure we can accomplish this task with no feat, we have after all grown quite accustomed to each other and know the ins and outs of dealing with a double." Robin says before Lucina clears her throat getting the hands attention.
"And what would that have to do with me, sir?" She asked while he now motioned towards her.
"Ah yes, well you see while not exactly the same set of circumstances you may also be of some assistance since you also have a quote on quote 'twin.' Ah and here he is now!" MH finished just as Marth entered the office.
"Is all this effort really necessary?" Robin asked as it seemed he was gathering a coalition just for these newcomers.
"Glad you asked, and yes. See these two individuals are special in the fact that their adventure has not yet played out." He informed the group which was met by puzzled looks. "Alright, think of it this way, imagine coming here to this dimension straight after having woken up in that field." He explained mainly to the tacticians.
"Ah I see, yes I'd imagine I'd be pretty agitated in that scenario." Raven admitted.
"Speaking of which I'd recommend you both get a move on as I have no doubt they should be upon us by now." He says while they nod and stand quickly heading out the door. Lucina and Marth were about to follow until they got called back. "Actually Marth, Lucina, I'd like to talk to you both further about another matter." He spoke up as the blunettes looked at one another and then headed back in.
"Why is Link here by the way?" Marth asked, noting the hylian just standing there as well.
"Well he has experience in handling occupying the same space as a variant, he has had two of them over all these years after all." He explained.
"Right" Marth says while Link just raised his shoulders and lowered his head making his neck disappear.
"You assume Raven and Robin might not quite accomplish this task, am I correct?" Lucina asked the hand who just took in a deep breath real quick.
"Here's the deal, right before I recruited them and due to an error caused by issues we've been having in the system. Well I personally had to go and retrieve these individuals before any further inconvenience should occur. However because of this the time and place of their recruitment wasn't the most ideal of situations. But it's not like I could appear and then just change my mind then and there and tell them to forget everything." He begins before he sits up on his chair and places his hands on his desk clasped together.
"It couldn't have been that bad… Right?" Link finally spoke up.
"Turns out they were both in the middle of a very important battle that was about to commence. This in turn would have led, depending on their choices of course, to a war that would shape their entire future." He finished as the smashers turned to look at one another.
"Not to be that gal, but couldn't you have just jumped in time to the point where their story had finished like the rest of us?" Lucina spoke up, Master Hand just sighed and lowered his head.
"As fascinating and perplexing as the powers of this realm go, the magnificent feat only goes so far I'm afraid. See we may operate outside of normal space and time as you may know, normal laws of time associated to everyone's base universe don't really apply here. Hence why the passing of time doesn't affect anyone while they are here. This being said we can't really perform the miracle of seeing ahead or in layman's terms, seeing the future. You see, the reason why we can't jump to their future where they have completed their conquest or revelation is basically because it hasn't happened yet. We can't jump to a point in time if it doesn't exist, hence why we could go back but not forward. Take Lucina here for example, she wasn't present in Melee and Brawl not because we overlooked her as a candidate, but because the simple answer is that their world wasn't at the period in time when she came to be. By that time the world was actually revolving around the time of Ike's exploits. This also explains why the child smashers remain so, the simple answer is their world hasn't reached the point in time where they ever grew up. Now unto the more recent matters at hand, both of these individuals were presented with very life altering choices. Not only that but some previously hidden knowledge that was kept from them was finally out of the bag. Believe me when I say these brutal circumstances will literally shift their way of thinking. I no doubt fear they will choose different paths and because of the circumstances back home leading to their battle. Well I have no doubt it will spark a grueling feud between the two." He finished as the others took in all the information.
"Now I see," Marth says.
"You both know the inner workings of dealing with the hardships of war and the very difficult choices that have accompanied them." He says while motioning towards the bluenettes.
"Well you could give a little credit to Raven and Robin, they too had to deal with those situations." Lucina adds.
"Ah yes, while normally that be the circumstance I'm afraid in this case no." MH replies.
"Why is that?" Marth asked.
"Because these personal matters are regarding the matters of family, the only experience the Robins' have with that I'm afraid is a tyrannical father." MH states looking at Lucina particularly. "Now that you all have been fully briefed I suggest you take your leave and try to catch up to your companions." He says ushering them out with his hands. They nod their heads and begin to walk out. As soon as the door closed he turned his seat around while sinking into it. He was stroking his palm/chin while deep in thought, "now where in the blazes is that darn witch!?" He remarked as he was perplexed by a mysterious disappearance of one of his late arrivals, they were no longer in their home dimension but they never arrived here either. It was as if they bleeped out of existence.
*City*
"Alright bud, we've just about done it! We defeated our antagonist and we only got one more location to go!" Pit says while walking out of a store and folding up the piece of paper Lucina gave him.
"Poyo Poyo!" Kirby replies cheerfully. Pit takes a deep breath taking in the smell of the rain before unfolding his umbrella.
"Alright Kirby it seems like our next location is going to be quite a trek seeing as how it's way across town." He explained but the puffball nodded before inflating and they were off. The sky rumbled briefly as the dark clouds lit up with multiple flashes of light. Pit cocked his head to the side confused as he thought he saw a large shadow moving in the clouds. "Did I just imagine that?" He mumbles to himself, another bright flash streaks across the sky before Kirby calls out in panic.
"POYO!" He warns Pit and he turns to see the masked puffball flying towards them at extreme speeds.
"He can't seem to take a hint, this guy!" Pit says gritting his teeth and looking around. They were out in the open and exposed, MK had them right where he wanted them. He didn't have anything he could use to his advantage this time around.
"Poyo Poyo!" Kirby reminds him and Pit snapped his fingers as he remembered.
"That's right I got this just for this occasion!" Pit says reaching behind his back and pulling out a plastic bow, he also had a tiny quiver strapped to his thigh and took out an arrow with a suction cup at the end of it. He lets loose one of them that flew through the skies and sticks onto Meta Knight's mask. He comes to a halt and pulls the plastic arrow off of his face and looks back at Pit as if to say 'are you serious?' Pit however just pointed down and MK looked back down at the plastic thing before it exploded in his hand sending confetti everywhere and blinding him. He shakes his body and flaps upwards to get out of the confetti cloud he was in. He looks around frantically, having lost sight of the angel and puffball. That is until he spots them below sticking to going between the buildings. He also couldn't help but notice that Kirby was going slightly faster than before. He grips his sword tightly and then swoops down towards the angel at high speeds.
"Poyo!" Kirby warns and Pit looks behind him seeing the puffball hot on their trail again. Pit quickly loads another arrow and twists his body to face MK and lets loose the little plastic tube. MK however knowing what he was dealing with wastes no time in swatting it away. The little tube swirls away in the air before exploding into different colors. MK picks up speed by folding his wings and swooping towards the duo while Pit prepares another arrow. He let it loose and MK this time just tilts his body letting it swoop past him and it explodes behind him. He turns around and Kirby begins to frantically puff while trying to get some distance between them and the masked puffball. All the while Pit was using his wings and in turn body to help them maneuver between the buildings. They get a few close calls where MK gained at them and slashed at them but quick thinking made them able to avoid it. Pit did notice his tactic changed, instead of trying to bonk them over the head and knock them out. He was now focusing on separating the two of them, knowing that doing this will put them at a disadvantage. MK appears before them and luckily Pit was anticipating this and took an arrow and stuck it unto the mask of MK. He quickly pulls away from the puffball who quickly reaches up and pulls the arrow from his mask before it explodes in his face. Kirby Lands on top of the tallest building in smash city at this point, and this thing was so tall that all other buildings were no longer visible due to the rain and fog.
"Po-yo" Kirby breathes out while panting hard.
"I know… I know… But… I don't think we lost him just yet…" Pit says while leaning down on his hands trying to catch his breath. They hear a whoosh behind them and see MK standing on the other side of the building. The wind was blowing hard now that they were so high up, the rain was now being pelted against his face making his vision slightly obscured. "I can see why Master Hand picked you, you just don't quit!" He breathed out as MK just stood there glaring them down as the rain slid down his mask. He slowly pulled out his blade again and swung it around getting in a battle stance.
"This ends here" he says curtly. Pit lowers his shoulders as he hoped they would have lost him. He pulls out the trash lid from before that now had an indentation of MK's mask deeply embedded in it.
"Right then let's end this, no more running!" Pit replies as he unstraps Kirby and sets him down. He then pulls out his secret weapon he was hiding, A wooden staff which upon closer inspection looked like a misshapen mop with the top removed. He banged the staff against his 'shield' before MK charged at him, he extended his wings and began to spin while charging forward effectively turning himself into a drill. Pit moves out of the way and swings his shield downwards but MK flaps up into the air. He then wraps his cape around himself and disappears, right before he appears behind Pit planting his sword over the angel's head hard. Pit stumbles forward while holding his now throbbing head, MK wasted no time in disappearing again. Pit however prepared for this in an unusual manner, MK appears again but before he could strike an explosion of confetti goes off. While MK was blinded and in turn startled, Pit took the opportunity to swing his staff at him. He hits the puffball over the head making him crash to the floor and face plant. He slowly picks himself up again and then glares at Pit while his eyes get brighter with an intensity. He charges at Pit again who prepares a counter but what he wasn't expecting was Meta Knight vanishing behind him. He barely had time to bring his shield up but since it was a split second decision MK managed to completely knock the item out of his hands. The shield then swings through the air and much to his horror over the edge and off the building. He wasn't done yet though he swung again but Pit brought up his staff to counter. MK, anticipating this, used the sharp side of the sword and cut Pit's staff in half and even then he wasn't done. He then rushes forward while Pit is stunned at the turn of events and kicks him dead in the chest. Pit tumbles backwards and falls flat on his back just as MK appears on his chest aiming his sword at him.
"You're done," he declares.
"Poyo!" They hear from above, MK looks up and his eyes go wide, he was so focused on Pit he forgot Kirby. Pit quickly rolls away from under MK and he tries to fly away but by then it was too late, a large metallic bucket falls on MK trapping him within. Kirby Lands on the bucket and since he stuffed himself full of bricks he weighed a significant amount. The Bucket under him was thrashing around furiously as Mk tried to escape from within. Pit took his broken staff then began bashing them at the sides of the bucket repeatedly as it rang out like a bell. After a while he stopped and tried to catch his breath after swinging for so long. Kirby spat out a pile of bricks before Pit picked him up and strapped him to his back again. They see a hand shoot out from under the bucket but before MK could remove it, the bucket is promptly struck by lightning. Mk removed the bucket shortly after as steam was coming off the top of his head and he wobbled around in a daze before falling flat on his face. He let out a groan before he seemed to have deflated slightly.
"I think we're done here," Pit said and turned, towards the end of the building's edge to continue his quest.
"Poyo!" Kirby warns while flapping his arms around frantically. Pit turns just in time to see MK come rushing at him at blinding speeds. He latches himself onto Pit's face glaring intensely into his eyes while Pit shrieks and runs around flailing his arms around. He runs around in circles while MK was now on his head covering his eyes and making the poor angel run into things. He then tries again to pry Kirby loose again but this time the puffball was ready for this, he took out firecrackers all held together badly with duct tape and ate it. It exploded inside of him and released a puff of black smoke that pushed MK away from them. But by the time that happened Pit was near the edge of the building and ended up falling over the edge. Pit was now wailing in fear while flapping his arms rapidly in panic completely forgetting he had wings. Kirby would've puffed up and saved them but he was still a little busy coughing up smoke still from his previous stunt. A flash of lightning streaks against the sky as a thunderous roar echoes in the sky just as Meta Knight could be seen rapidly approaching the falling duo.
*meanwhile…*
"As you can see profits are up 300% since last quarter!" A man said proudly. He was in a boardroom surrounded by 6 other men and 2 women seated on a large oval table. The crackle of lightning and the howling of the wind could still be briefly heard from within. The man was pointing towards a projector screen showing various charts. The lights were off so they could see the projector screen better, however they didn't need to draw the curtains of the windows since it was dark and stormy outside.
"That might have been so for a while now, but as you can see from chart 3 people are quickly losing interest in products." One of the women said.
"Well it's really not our fault, interest in the tournament has been slowly declining, it's been a while since something interesting happened over there to draw back attention." The man up front replied.
"Not to mention everyone forgot about our smash waffles…" One of the other women brought up.
"Well what are we to do? It's not like an angel is going to fall from the sky and give us an idea to turn our quickly declining profit." One of the other men said sarcastically. That is until they hear a very loud and audible thud from the back window. He turns his seat around just to see Pit with his face smashed against the glass. He slowly started to slide down the glass before he unstuck himself and turned around, he shrieked again as Meta Knight came at him again. He slams into Pit again and this time poor Kirby was mushed against the glass. Pit grabs MK and headbutts him which did make MK lose his senses for a bit and fly off in a disoriented manner. However Pit saw black dots dance around his vision and was in a complete daze. Kirby then sucks up air and they take off while the boardroom stays completely quiet.
"Was that…?"
"Kirby… Backpack…"
Just then they all stood up and started running around while yelling over each other frantically and others furiously pressing buttons on phones to make calls.
MK comes back around and this time Pit takes out his broken staff pieces and swings them around. Mk swooped in while Pit tried to swing at him but completely missed, Mk grabbed Pit by the collar and started to drag him through the air. Right before sending him through an open window, which was only open because a janitor was throwing out some dirty mop water. Pit went in and crashed into a shelf in the back knocking several items onto the floor. Meta Knight tried to follow suit but instead got a splash of dirty mop water to the face. The poor janitor however quickly ran out the room as Pit crashed into the shelf in the back. While Meta Knight was busy hanging by the window coughing up dirty mop water, Pit sneaked out of the room and locked it behind him. He quickly walks over towards the elevator and impatiently mashes the call button, he looks off to the side and sees a receptionist blankly staring at him. He just smiled sheepishly and waved at her awkwardly, after all his adventure he looked like a sloppy wet mess. Just then the door to the storage slices open and is blown off its hinges crashing into the wall ahead of it. Some smoke emits from the room obscuring the view until they see two glowing orbs within, until of course they see a round silhouette come out revealing Meta Knight. Luckily for Pit he managed to get his hands on a new weapon when he was thrown into that utility closet. A brand new tiny leaf blower! Which he didn't know what it did so he kinda just took the nuzzle and threw it at MK. The masked puffball just watched it fly a few feet before reaching the end of its reach and landing on the floor with an awkward thud. The elevator finally arrives and MK tackles Pit into it where they proceed to slash and hack at each other, or in Pit's case was blocked with a muzzle of a leaf blower. Eventually Meta Knight stabbed the button panel that makes it go haywire sending sparks every which way. The elevator plunges down at super speeds making MK and Pit splat onto the ceiling due to the sudden increase in velocity.
Pit then slams his fist against the hatch leading out of the elevator and slowly makes his way out. He then hops out while Kirby puffs up, they look down wondering why Meta Knight stayed in there. That is until Pit heard someone clear their throat right above them. Pit looks up and comes face to face with some glowing eyes, before being promptly bonked over the head. Pit blacked out finally since he's just been taking hits to the head nonstop and a big lump was now on his head. Kirby panicked as now the unconscious Pit was making him struggle to keep himself afloat, even with his upgrade. Meta Knight just watched Kirby tire himself out which would make him easier to deal with. Kirby eventually starts to turn blue from trying too hard to suck in his breath and float up with his cargo. He finally deflates and starts slowly falling down the elevator shaft, and it just so happens that's when the elevator finally crashed to the bottom. Mk took out a glowing net and just when he was about to throw it over the duo Kirby turned into a boulder and he and Pit plunged down. The net just floats over empty space before it disintegrated. MK groans before he jumps down after them and they both free-fall at top speeds and yet the bottom still looked like a tiny dot in the distance. Sometime in the middle of their free fall Pit groggily started to slowly wake. His eyes bulge out of his body when he sees himself free falling down an elevator shaft with Meta Knight right on their tails.
"Ahh Kirby what are you doing!?" Pit shouts while wrapping himself around the Kirby boulder.
"Poyo!" Kirby replies albeit still focusing on getting back on the elevator. Pit just looked up at MK who is himself focusing on reaching the two of them. He takes out his plastic bow and loads another arrow and shoots it off. MK however easily swirls out of the way, Pit knowing he would do so keeps shooting arrows in an attempt to slow MK's advance. He was running out of arrows and decided to stop as he didn't want to waste them all here as even if they hit him they had nowhere to go regardless. "Poyo!" Kirby calls out again and morphs from his bolder form.
"Right!" Pit says and extends his wings slowing down their descent so he can safely land on the crashed elevator. Pit quickly jumps down and closes the latch behind him and breaks off the handle that opens it in hopes to slow him down. Seconds later they heard a loud metallic clunk from the other side. Pit quickly runs over towards the control panel that was still sparking and pulls on a red lever, which was an emergency release latch for the doors. They open up to reveal a dark room save for several large overhead lamps, they weren't even at the ground floor of the building. They happened to have stumbled upon a vast underground garage. They hear several large thumps coming from the elevator before a large bulge forms on the ceiling. Pit quickly exits the elevator and begins sprinting across the garage trying to look for the exit. He looks left and right but all he sees is rows of automobiles and the occasional elevator shaft.
"Know My Power!" Pit hears behind him before he turns and sees MK come slashing at him. Pit takes out his broken staff pieces and uses them to counter. Except all that ends up happening is that Meta Knight cleanly cuts the already broken staffs into nothing more than little stumps. Pit smiles sheepishly before he turns and runs away as he finally spots the large overhead sign with big bright letters saying 'Exit' with an arrow pointing down. MK however whooshed in front of them blocking the way.
"Didn't want to have to do this… But…" Pit says dropping the leaf blower on the floor. Right before pulling out a large plastic machine gun with a wicked grin as was loaded with the confetti darts.. Just before MK swiftly sliced it in half in a blink of an eye, Pit could only look down at it with wide eyes as the front of the gun slowly slips down and clunks down to the floor. Pit now had a massive frown on his face as MK swung his sword around. Pit throws some poppers at MKs feet which crackle and pop making the puffball fly up. Pit takes the opportunity to run towards a side door he now realized was there since going towards the main exit would be an automatic loss. MK flaps his wings twice before he gives chase to them. Pit swings the door open and finds himself in an alley between the building he was in and the next. The rain was still coming down but that alley was shielded by the building's ledges so it was dry. MK kicks the door open shortly after and his eyes land on the duo who were now sadly backed into a corner. "Kirby… I'm afraid we have no choice…" Pit says while slowly backing away. Kirby looks back at Pit and gives him a nod of approval. Pit takes out the last of his arrows stealthily and with a war cry charges at Meta Knight. The masked puffball just chalked it up to desperation and stood in place waiting for his prey to come to him. Right before he was going to attack he sees Pit hand's full of the suction cup arrows. This throws him off long enough for Pit to attach around a dozen or so to the puffballs mask. He let go of Pit who he had taken a hold of moments before and started frantically pulling the arrows off his mask. However as he did so Pit threw another handful at his feet and MK turned to look at the pile and his eyes went wide.
"Aw Cr-" he began before an enormous blast of confetti sent him barreling out of the alley way they were in, completely covering him in confetti making him look like a disco ball with legs. He crashes against a large metallic mailbox leaving a large indent on it. He slowly got back up and shook himself as some of the confetti fell off his body but he was still covered in a significant amount. MK then slowly turned towards Pit who backed away again as MK took one step forward.
"Shiny!" They hear a little girl no older than six come running over and takes Meta Knight into her arms, startling him and completely throwing him off guard. "Ohh Meta Knight is my favorite, and you're so shiny!" She says very excitedly while squeezing the puffball in her arms making his eyes pop out. He tries to release himself from the little girl's hold but she seemed to have had an iron clad hold over him.
"Unhand me, tiny child!" MK demands while she swings him side to side in her arms and cuddles him.
"Awwh you're adorable!" She squeals in a very high pitched voice seemingly ignoring his demands. She then begins walking off with the puffball in her arms as he still struggled in her arms.
"I am the greatest star warrior in the galaxy, and you will release me at once!" He demands but it falls on deaf ears again. The little girl walks over towards a limo parked nearby and ushers a chauffeur to open the door for her.
"Me and my new dolly want to go to my favorite tea place now!" She tells the man who didn't question the fact that she held a struggling puffball in her arms. She gets in and he closes the door behind her and he walks over towards the driver's seat and gets in. The limo rumbles to life shortly after and begins to drive away. MK then jumps up towards the back of the limo and begins banging his hands against the glass while glaring at Kirby and Pit, they just turn and look at each other awkwardly before turning back towards the Limo. A small pair of hands slowly reach up and wrap around Meta Knight before pulling him down out of view. And then the Limo turns out of view and Pit slowly drops to the floor catching his breath.
"I got to admit buddy I thought for sure we were done for back there, next time we need to make sure we are 100% ready." Pit says while taking out the folded piece of paper and trying to get his bearings. Kirby however saw another little star pin glowing on top of the leaf blower Pit dropped. Kirby began to inhale however in doing so he also swallowed the leaf blower. Kirby makes another transformation sound and Pit turns to see he had now turned into an air powered jet pack backpack. Pit grins seeing as now they had a very neat and useful upgrade, "well let's get this done!" Pit says, raising his fist in the air as Kirby blasts off.
*Meanwhile*
"If you're trying to impersonate me you fool, I'd say you completely missed the mark." M Corrin remarks as he and this strange woman impersonator slowly circled each other. "Quite frankly it's rather insulting."
F Corrin scoffed at him, "you accuse me of impersonation? Look at you!" She says motioning towards him, "you don't even remotely look the part, much less sound the part." She adds.
"If you insist on being a persistent runt, then let us see if you can keep up your wit in a clash!" He remarks and they both get ready to rush at each other.
"WAAIT!" a voice calls out instantly and they both look down the hill seeing a silver haired man come scrambling up the hill, although painfully slow. He finally comes to a halt in between them while holding up his hands trying to catch his breath. "It's not… It's not… What you think!" He breathes out before hunching over. The other two just stare at this man who was slightly red in the face, completely puzzled. "Raven!" He calls put behind him while motioning someone over.
"Ugh Robin, did you really have to rush out of the mansion so quickly!?" A similar woman who slowly made her way up the hill replies while looking down at her feet. "It's all muddy and damp. I'm going to ruin my new stilettos!" She whines while he turns to her with a 'seriously?' Look.
"Why are you even wearing those!?" He remarks but she shrugged her shoulders a bit.
"They make me feel pretty" she replies sheepishly while he facepalms while groaning. She then noticed the other two and turned towards M Corrin who was completely lost now. "Ooh, look at you!" She says while Robin pushed her aside.
"Ok just to clarify no, you aren't hallucinating, no that's not some sort of doppelganger, truth of it is you are both one in the same from different worlds. Yes one of you is male one of you is female, no I don't know why just chalk it up to the will of the universe." Robin quickly lists off everything.
"But worry not, as you probably can tell we were in the same predicament as you both are right now." Raven adds, "so if you have any questions or concerns we're here to clear any confusion. I'm Raven by the way and that there is Robin." She adds while the other two just look at one another.
"So he's…"
"And she's…"
The Corrins' say while pointing at one another. "Yes, now how about you tell us a little about yourselves all we'll go from there!" Robin chimes up while M Corrin sheaths his sword.
"Very well, the name's Corrin. I was raised in a kingdom named Nohr, however I recently came across the news that I am originally from a different kingdom, Hoshidan. And as soon as that odd individual Master Hand takes me back after this tournament I'll rejoin my kin at Nohr in the coming war." He explained.
"I see, and what of you is it the exact same?" Robin turns towards F Corrin.
"Yes, I may be in the same boat, however I don't necessarily want anyone to die in an unnecessary conflict. If possible I want to help both Hoshidan and Nohr and avoid conflict." She says in almost a soft whisper as she lowers her head.
"COWARD!" M Corrin shouts, "the only plausible choice here is siding with Nohr. How could you possibly justify defending Hoshidan after all they've done!" He says rather aggressively.
"And do what!? Just forget that they took me in and treated me as their own when they could've very easily just held me for ransom and treated us like a prisoner or worse! Are you just going to so easily turn your back on that?" She replied while he gritted his teeth.
"It was all a lie, admit it we were nothing more than glorified hostages!" M Corrin fires back.
"Uhh, was this part of the plan…?" Raven leans in and whispers to Robin.
"Not exactly, but maybe they should work out their differences here and now." Robin replies.
"Can you honestly tell me you ever felt anything but affection from your so-called captors?" F Corrin fires back quickly.
"Robin, I think we should interfere…" Raven whispers as the other two glared at each other.
"I didn't bring my weapons, did you?" Robin asked while patting down his coat.
"Not unless they're allergic to chocolate…" Raven says taking out a comically large chocolate bar.
"Well if push comes to shove you should get in between them before things get out of hand." Robin suggested.
"Yeah sure…" Raven says half paying attention being too busy watching the other two bicker. "HOLD ON WHAT!?" She exclaimed shortly after once she realized what he said. "Why me why don't you get in there!?" She complains.
"Oh come on this is so your territory, you just love conflict!" He says while she scowled at him.
"I do not!" She says placing her hands on her hips, "now be man and get in there and break it up!" She says give him a shove.
"Ohh OHH real mature Rave!" He says with a sarcastic chuckle, "play the male card on me."
"Well I already said I don't want to get my new shoes dirty!" She whines while pointing down at them.
"Well you're the one who's more confident so get up in there sis!" Robin says grabbing her coat and ushering her forward, she also takes hold of him however and they begin a tug of war trying to usher the other into the fray while hurling insults at each other, again…
"I will not return their kindness towards me with violence!" F Corrin declares while grabbing M Corrin by his armor. "And declaring that you are going to do so is nothing short of barbaric! I would never follow nor allow such an act!" She remarks before shoving him back.
"You misunderstood, you see I was only going to confront those who got in my way. And since that appears to start with you then you shall be the first obstacle I remove!" He declared as he took out his sword and swung it down at her. However it is met with a loud clang as it clashes with a sword of a warrior clad in red.
"Woah there buddy, I'm afraid that's not allowed!" He says with a confident smirk. M Corrin doesn't reply however and he himself smirks as his sword slightly rumbles. Roy looks down at the clashing weapons and his eyes go wide when he sees the sharp edges of M Corrin's blade start to rotate like a chainsaw. He instantly gets a flashback to a horror film he saw with Marth a few weeks back. He screams in a very high pitched tone before he quickly takes off running the opposite way with his arms flailing in the air, his screams echoing on for a while before he disappears.
"I told him not to watch that movie!" Marth appears while pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Oh great, another one!" M Corrin grumbles to himself seeing two bluenettes next to each other. "Well maybe you'll have more common sense realizing the problem with these so-called doubles." He says while motioning towards Lucina then back at F Corrin.
"Weren't you debriefed on this already?" Marth asked while M Corrin turned his gaze off towards the side. Marth and Lucina turn their gazes to where he was looking to see the Robins' grappling with each other. The Bluenettes' just sweat drop while watching the tacticians bickering with each other completely oblivious to their surroundings.
"Well actually while they guys, over there!" Lucina begins while shooting a glare over towards the tacticians "I'm actually directly related to him and not an alternative version from a different world." She says while M Corrin drops his shoulders.
"Is this all this place is? Fighters with any and all forms of doubles?" M Corrin remarks.
"Hey! I'm not a double!" Lucina protests, however Marth places a hand on her shoulder giving her a look.
"Look friend, why don't you put that weapon away and we'll take you to Master Hand and get you settled in and also explain how things work around here." Marth says approaching M Corrin with his hand on the hilt of his sword. He looks back towards his counterpart who had her own blade in her hands.
"Don't, trust me it's not worth it, you don't want to start your first day here on Master Hand's bad side." Lucina says while holding her arm out in front of F Corrin. She took in a deep breath before lowering her blade and M Corrin followed suit.
"Ow! Let go of my hair, no hair pulling you ape!" Raven shouts.
"Then stop pulling mine you brat!" Robin fires back as they are intertwined now. Marth then quickly jumps in pulling them apart and holding them back from each other as they still tried to claw at each other.
"Can you both stop behaving like children already! You are setting the worst example right now!" Marth says getting them to calm down slightly. "Seriously you both should know better by now" he adds while they cross their arms and turn from each other.
"He started it!"
"She started it!"
"Alright, Enough!" Marth says while the tacticians both huff at each other.
"I'm sure this is going to go just swell…" Lucina says while rubbing her hand down her face.
*City*
Pit exits the last and final store with a big grin on his face, he has won and now he can head back to the mansion and complete his mission. "Alright buddy let's head home, whew what a day huh?" He says while Kirby smiles and nods at him. They head towards the middle of a large public park in an area that was coated by trees so they could leave without being seen.
"Poyo!" Kirby says cheerfully and starts to rumble before blasting off. A flash of lighting illuminates the dark sky and a large shadow is seen directly overhead of the duo, however it goes unnoticed by them. A volley of lasers blast all around them sending them spiraling through the air and crash landing in a grassy field. They heard a whoosh behind them and they knew all too well what was coming. Pit sighs before he slowly turns around dreading what was to come, only to come face to face with Meta Knight wearing a tiny pink apron…
"W-what the h-heck happened t-to you!" Pit said trying to contain his laughter, he failed miserably though and threw his head back and started hollering with laughter.
*earlier*
MH was sitting on his desk tapping his fingers on his desk impatiently, there were multiple things in his mind about concurring events and he was getting anxious to hear back from any of them. "Where is Meta Knight, he should have been back by now!" He says taking out an orb that glowed in his palm with the words "connecting…" flashing within. The inside of the orb then swirls around before the image of Meta Knight forms inside. "Where have you been? You said you'd handle this quickly yet you've been radio silent for hours now!" MH says while Meta Knight looks off screen for a moment before looking back at Master Hand.
"There were some… complications…" MK replies. He was no longer covered in glitter, however there was blush applied on his mask and he was wearing a pink bonnet on his head.
"Mr Sparkles, would you like more tea?" A little girl says, holding up a little bright blue and pink kettle up.
"Coming Tina!" He replies in a high voice as his eyes shone a bright pink and hangs up the video call, he waltzes over to the little round table where multiple dolls were seated. He took his seat eagerly and held up a little tea cup, he's had hot beverages before however this particular tea gave such a satisfying burst of flavors he forgot his mission and stuck around. Which is something Mk wouldn't do normally but it was almost as if he was hypnotized by the drink.
"Now, now Mr Sparkles you know the rules!" She begins while holding the kettle away from the masked puffball. "No tea unless you wear our uniform!" She says while holding up a little pink apron up to the puffball. He lowers his gaze and groans a bit before setting his teacup down and holding out his hand for the apron. Tina smiles and places it in his palm and he places it on slowly before he once again picks up his tea cup and hopped in his seat impatiently.
"More tea please!" He says again in a high voice albeit still very deep and rough. He watched eagerly as she poured the warm liquid into his cup that swirled a green and brown in his little cup. He takes a big sip of it before his phone buzzes loudly interrupting his moment of savory. He takes out his phone and zooms in on aerial pictures of Pit and Kirby leaving a store and heading into a huge park. "Curses!" He says while setting down his cup of tea, "duty calls" he says before taking his kettle and chugging the rest of the tea straight from the kettle. He wipes the excess that dripped on his mask and wipes it with the back of his hand before wrapping his cape around himself and disappearing.
"Goodbye Mr sparkles, see you later!" Tina said with a wave as he whirled out of sight. She walks over towards the back of the room and opens her closet where a certain dark little hylian sat strapped to a chair. "Ok Mr Bright Eyes now it's your turn to have tea!" She says cheerfully in a high voice. He had a piece of tape over his mouth and once she opened the door he began to squirm in his seat and let out muffled shouts…
*the park*
Mk looked down at himself and forgot he was even wearing the darn thing and ripped it off before shaking his body and making the bonnet fall off his head. "This time we're ready for you!" Pit declares while MK takes out his blade. "There is no way to win in a duel against you, so I guess we'll just have to outwit you!" Pit says with a confident smirk and Kirby begins to rumble. They both blast off into the air at high speeds which threw Meta Knight off at first. He sprouts his wings and blasts off into the air after the duo.
"Poyo Poyo?" Kirby asked while Pit kept his gaze straight ahead, they were both being pelted harder by the rain now as he was moving against it.
"The plan is to lose him in the sky, trust me Kirby I've done this before as the sky is my domain!" Pit says while holding up his thumb. The sky rumbles and flashes around them before they see Meta Knight coming at them from above. "What the!?" Pit exclaimed and quickly swirled away from him, he was expecting the masked puffball to come from below not above.
"Poyo!" Kirby shouts.
"I know!" Pit responds as he gritted his teeth, this was it, the final battle of his quest and it was more difficult than he thought it'd be. The sky rumbles before Meta Knight slams into the duo making them fly around disoriented. "I should have thought this through more… Of course going into the sky would make us harder to spot, but it also made him harder to spot!" Pit says as they regain themselves and Pit starts looking around for the masked puffball. Suddenly something slams against his arms making him turn around only to take a MK sized fist to the face, black dots dance around his vision and he gets disoriented a bit. He sees a glint of silver and quickly turns around to see MK swirling towards them, and he reveals his new secret weapon. He took out a water balloon and as MK swooped by he threw it at the puffball, it exploded covering him in a very sticky goop. MK was then unable to move his wings and he flailed his arms around as he plummeted from the sky. "That won't last, we better move before he returns," Pit says as Kirby blasted off. The sky rumbled loudly afterwards as it illuminated around them a large shadow appeared behind them coming towards them. A loud mechanical groan echoed in the vicinity making them halt in place and Pit turned around slowly. "Uhh, what was that?" He says as he got sudden chills and a familiar feeling of dread, but from what exactly he couldn't put his finger on it. They hear a loud bang as if a cannon had just been fired before they see a spiraling cannonball come at them. "OH NO!" Pit exclaimed before it exploded on them, making them swirl through the air uncontrollably. A giant mechanical claw then clasped around them and started pulling them into the dark clouds. The sky around them illuminates again and they see themselves headed towards a large shadow. "It can't be!" Pit says in panic as a giant Meta Knight mask comes into view shortly after. The claw fully retracts and they hang suspended in the air by it before hearing a loud stomp on the deck of the ship.
"You're finished" MK says while looking up at the squirming duo before turning around. The sky cackled around them as Pit took in a deep breath. If he wished to see his mission succeed then he had to take out Meta Knight on his own terms, no beating around the bush. He unstraps Kirby from his back, releasing him from the claw and coming down on the deck with a thud.
"Fine let's do it your way, final duel winner takes all. If I win you release us and concede, however if you win we will surrender and accept defeat otherwise we'll keep fighting to the end!" Pit challenged him, MK however had his back to them as his cape blew in the winds. He slowly turns around to face Pit who shot him a challenging glare.
"Agreed" MK replies plainly. Pit smirked and took out what appeared to be an antique thin sword from his back and held it firmly in his hands. He popped it slightly out of his sheath as he got into a combat position ready to strike. MK held out his own sword as lightning flashed around them. Pit held his gaze firmly as the rain dripped down his face, MK however kept a firm and stoic gaze on his opponent as the rain streamed down his mask. As the sky let out a mighty roar they both dashed at each other and the clanking of metal echoed around them. The both now stood with their backs to each other with their weapons held out. Right before Pit's legs began to wobble and he fell to his knees shortly after.
"H-How…" He breathes out slowly while MK hums to himself in amusement and closes his eyes taking a deep breath. "P-Pittoo… I-I failed you…" he thought to himself before he fell to the deck motionless as the sky rumbled again.
"Poyo!" Kirby calls out as he sees his companion go down, he expands in size breaking the claw that was holding him and he clunked down to the deck. He spits out his current power which just consisted of him spitting out an overfilled backpack and leaf blower. He dashes towards the sword Pit dropped and quickly swallows it transforming into a mini warrior of sorts. He had a tiny helmet on his head now with a long ponytail at the back of his head. He points a new appropriately sized sword at Meta Knight giving him a challenging glare of his own. MK turns to his new opponent and once again gets into a combat position to face his new foe. The sky rumbled again and the both dashed at each other at blinding speeds, although unlike with Pit, Kirby managed to block the attack perfectly. Sparks fly as the two blades clash with each other, they both separate and skid away from each other. Kirby then surprised MK when he dashed at him and then started spinning rapidly as he neared MK. The masked puffball managed to parry the attack however Kirby did manage to push him back and almost backed him into a corner. MK then disappears and reappears behind Kirby dealing a sliding kick and making the pink puffball skid to the floor. He gets up and shakes his little body before getting ready to strike at his opponent again. They both dash at each other again as the sky rumbles and lightning illuminates their dark surroundings. As soon as Kirby's blade makes contact a blue powder shoots out of it and sprays all over his face. They both skid away from each other with their backs facing the other. Kirby then wobbled a bit before falling flat on the floor and deflating a little. MK then straightens himself and puts his sword away as he raises his hand in the air before pointing it straight forward. The large ship then blasts forward into the dark sky back towards the mansion.
*meanwhile*
Master Hand walks back into his office with a slow sigh, he had just come back from meeting the newcomers. As compared to the other late arrivals their arrival wasn't a complete catastrophe, although it could use some improvement since they bickered with each other constantly. Most likely inspired by the other pair of twins he put in charge of them who kept arguing and shoving the other around, not exactly setting the best of examples but hey practice makes perfect. He takes a seat on his big chair while thinking to himself for a moment, was it the best idea to bring in the new fighters before their grand adventure. After all he could've waited till the next one, he was already hard at work making all the preparations to ensure a smooth launch. Be hears a whoosh behind and and slowly turns his seat around to see the visitor. MK was now on his desk and behind him was Kirby and Pit sprawled on the floor passed out. "It is done" MK says plainly while Master Hand leaned back in his seat, seemingly pleased everything was starting to shape up…
*later…*
"How are you feeling now?" Lucina asked as she carefully watched the dark angel as they strolled through the back of the mansion.
"Well… I guess if I had to say, I'd say my answer is still the same as it was three minutes ago." He replied sarcastically while rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Well you only just recovered a few hours ago, and despite the rain letting up it's still rather cold and damp out." She says while looking up at the moon in the sky, it was rather bright that night. A few dark clouds still circled above them in the sky, although the majority of the clouds had already dispersed earlier in the day.
"Trust me I really need this, I couldn't spend another minute cooped up in there any longer, especially with everyone pestering me." He says as he casually continued his stroll with his hands behind his head.
"They were all just worried about you, as am I" she says but he just grunts at her.
"Well they can save their pity, I don't need it" he waved her off, she was about to reply before a flock of bats suddenly flew over them.
"That's strange there are an awful lot of bats out today, I don't think we've ever had bats around here." Lucina says while looking up at the trees seeing several bats hanging from them.
"Well you never really come out here at night" he just says casually.
"Well I suppose you're right, but I think it's weird how they're all just here…" She says motioning to the little clearing in the woods they were in.
"Oh you're not going to go all paranoid on me now are you?" He says with a slow sigh and drops his arms to the side.
"Actually with you I can't exactly help it seeing as how you're a magnet for trouble." She replies, making him snort in amusement.
"That's on you, no one forced you to do that" he says with a slight chuckle. A few bats circle around them again making Dark Pit look up at surroundings, I did seem like the critters were converging on their location.
"Somethings wrong…" She says while taking a few steps back becoming more aware of her surroundings.
"Oh would you-" Pittoo begins before he is suddenly scooped up from the ground in some sort of weird net.
"You should listen to your friend more" a mysterious woman's voice called out from somewhere in the woods.
"Well at least someone still feels the need to cage me, I'll take this as a compliment." He says while casually hanging in the net.
"Who are you? show yourself!" Lucina calls out while unsheathing her sword. A few bats release from the branches of the trees and begin flying all around them in batches now.
"You're different from the others…" The voice calls out again as Lucina looks around for the source.
"If you want him, you'll have to go through me!" Lucina calls out while holding out her hand in front of Pittoo.
"Darling, I'd worry about yourself first," the voice says as several objects struck the ground around Lucina startling the bluenette and making her stumble backwards. She sees a large batch of bats disperse and a shadow figure appears in the middle of them. Something on the figure's face was glinting brightly in the moonlight as they slowly approached. She wore a dark tight suit that helped her easily blend into the night. She spun a gun in her hand before holding it upright and a mischievous smirk spread on her face. "Now, shall we dance?" She says while holding out her weapons aimed at the swordswoman…
And there we have it! The next chappy. Ok so I may be coming down with something which delayed this chapter, but if the next update is significantly slower than this one then it can be assumed I fully came down with something. I guess this is karma for hurting poor Pittoo and giving him the sickies right after that… I'ma so sorry!
Beside that, I'm super pumped and also anxious for the next chapters to come as we're so close to the end now! Okay I'll leave things here for now, so I guess toodles!
