Chapter 29

Universe 2

Their combined group from Universe Two, Six, Seven, Eleven and Four had just entered the fortress a short time ago.

They could tell that it was just as creepy from the inside like the outside.

Not only that. They had sensed the dark energy residing over the entire place even from the outside. But now that they had entered the building, it was more intense – much more – and incredible powerful.

They could believe now that whatever was trapped here had been too much even for a God of Destruction to handle.

Right now they were just walking through a dark corridor.

Like Heles had explained, it had originally been created to contain the dangerous Negative Energy Entity that she herself had accidentally created a long time ago.

"How much longer do we have to walk?" Trunks asked.

"The Entity should be somewhere in the center of the Castle," Heles answered. "We have to go a two levels downwards. The stairs are a few hundred meters down this corridor if I remember right."

"I wish we would just blow a hole through the walls," said Caulifla.

"Mortal - I have told you that this could accidentally free the dangerous Entity," Heles replied impatiantly.

"Yes yes – I only meant I would have liked to do it," Caulifla said. "Not that I truly intend to."

"Sis - I don´t think arguing with Lady Heles is helful," Kale stated.

"Ahm Lady Heles – what are we to do when we arrive anyway?" Cabba asked. "Didn´t you say that not even you were able to destroy that being?"

"We will just wait for this Towa to arrive here and then we will overpower her together and capture or destroy her for good."

"It would be adventeous if we could capture her," Toppo stated. "Then we could question her about her Master."

"That would be difficult. It is much harder to capture a target alive than to just eliminate it," Hit pointed out.

"The judgement of an assassin I see," Toppo replied with some anymosity.

"Anyway," Goten stated, "if blasting the walls would risk accidentally freeing the creature, would having a fight with Towa here not do the same thing?"

Heles and Pell suddenly stopped in their tracks.

Which caused Brianne and Sanka who were right behind to nearly walk into them.

The Goddess and the Kaioshin looked at each other. They realized they had not really thought of that.

"Damn it!" Heles hissed.

At the same time somewhere outside

The two Fallen Angels Towa and Saek and the being Mira were standing here together with the Wizard Hoy, who Saek had just brought with him.

Said Wizard however was still a bit reluctant to cooperate with them willingly.

Towa had opened a small rift in reality, that allowed Master to talk directly to their new `recruit´.

"You are Hoy – the last of the Kasvash race," Demigra´s voice stated.

"Yes."

"And your greatest creation had just perished at the hands of our common enemies. You should realize that it is in your own best interest to cooperate with us."

"I…" Hoy said. Suddenly it was as if all strength left his limbs and he let himself sink on his knees tot he ground.

"It should not have been like this. We Kasvash are the greatest race in the universe – no, the multiverse. The only one with the right to live and rule," he called out.

"And Hildegarn was our master-creation. How could he have lost?"

"Maybe we should just torture him until he agrees to cooperate," Towa commented, loosing her last patience.

"Now – Don´t be so hasty Towa." Demigra´s voice stated. "And you Hoy - as you have probably noticed, we are not a mortal race,"

"No - we are Angels… Or now we should maybe better say Demons," Towa added.

Hoy looked up to them for a moment.

"What difference does that make to me now? The work of my life has just been destroyed and I am the last of my kind."

"What if we could deliver you the means to create a being even stronger than Hildegarn if you cooperate with us?" Demigra offered.

"Even if you did," Hoy replied, "the Ritual that had once given Hildegarn his physical form had required dozens of Kasvash Warlocks to make and I am alone."

"Do not worry about that. We will assist you and boost your power," Saek said. "With our help you will be able to do it on your own."

"I-…"

"War will beginn soon. Between us and the current Gods of the Multiverse. If you give us a creature that can help us defeat our enemies, I will let you have a universe of your own," Demigra´s voice said.

"Yes?" Hoy said in disbelieve.

"It is more than likely that the population of at least one universe will be completely wiped out in the coming conflict anyway," Demigra told matter of factly.

Listening to all of this, deep down, the former Angel Saek felt something he had not felt in a long time as he heard his Master – and father – casually talk about the depopulation of entire universes… doubt.

"I will just leave such a universe to you," Demigra said, "to rebuild and form on your own. If you are willing to agree to this terms."

"What?... O - Of course. Yes," Hoy replied.

Inside the Fortress

"Can you form a Cocotte-Zone around this entire area?" Toppo asked his comrade. "To protect the castle walls and keep the monster from escaping?"

"Even if I could do that, I don´t think it could hold back a being this powerful," Cocotte replied.

"I understand," Toppo answered.

"And you can truly not destroy this being?" Marron of all people questioned.

"Hey Marron – you do sense this energy here, right?" Goten said to her.

The dark energy had now increased even more, the closer it seemed they got to the center of the Fortress. It was now nearly overwhelming.

"If I could, do you think I would not have done it eons ago?" Heles stated. "It is simply too powerful. Aside from that it is not a physical being but a completely incorporal entity. That alone makes it much harder to destroy."

"Yes – but you are just one God of Destruction," Marron replied. "Now we have two here. And my uncle had told me that Toppo can use Destruction Power too. That means there are technically three of you here, If you work together…?"

All of the three she had mentioned turned to Marron at her words.

"Yes – I have seen your Power of Destruction with Beerus," Twenty One pointed out.

Actually she had wanted to research it. But Universe 7´s God of Destruction had vehemently denied that idea.

Destruction Energy was nothing what mortals should study, as he said.

"If you three combine yours and concentrate it on a single target, it might work," Twenty One suggested.

"That…" Quitella begann to reply something. "Gods of Destruction normally don´t combine their powers like this."

He was not quite sure what to say to this.

"Normally they also don´t directly assist each other," Heles said. "And yet you volunteered to come here."

"Y-yes – of course," Quitella replied defensively.

She was starting to think. "Maybe - I guess it is worth a try."

"To be honest, I hate using this power," Toppo stated. "It is as if I turn into something I am not sure I want to be. I admit that I have serious doubts about becoming a God of Destruction.

But if there is no other way to deal with this problem, I am willing to do it."

At this point they were reaching a large door.

"We are here," Pell said. "The most dangerous Entity in all of Universe 2 is behind this doors," he declared.

"Let us go in," Jiren stated stoically.

"Alright," Heles replied.

"That means it is on time for us to transform," Brianne said.

"Maybe we should have already done that when we entered the Fortress," Su suggested.

"Yes – this terrible energy here would be easier to take then," Sanka agreed.

They begann their entire procedure while the others watched.

A short time later they had changed into their forms of Ribrianne, Kakunza and Rohzie.

"Seriously – do you guys need to do all this every time you power up for a fight?" Marron asked.

"This is a sacred ritual of Universe 2," Heles told them. "A sign of our devotion and the beauty of our powers."

"Yes – and no disrespect… but it is also quite impractical," Trunks stated.

"Everybody who don´t respect your believes can just shoot you any time they want," Goten pointed out.

"Indeed – your safety depends completely on your opponents knowing and respecting the ritual," Twenty One commented. "Not a very wise move to perform in front of your enemies if your think about it."

"Look – we know that," Kakunza replied with a sour face.

"We had some – ah, drastic experiences that showed us that. This is the reason we now transform before we even enter the battlefield," Ribrianne explained.

"Yes – it is said that we can no longer show our show our ritual before our enemies, but it is better this way as experience showed," Heles told them.

"But now we should go on. Weh ave already spent too much time."

They opened the door.

Toppo and the Universe 2 Warrior Zirloin pushed the two door-wings open.

And inside.

There was a giant room – a nearly endless seeming empty hall.

The other side was so far away that it was barely to make out in the dim light.

The walls at the sides were rounded, from a height of around two meters on and seemed to form a collosal dome that covered the entire room.

And in it´s center was something that looked like a large hole in the ground, surrounded by a reiling.

And…

"It is empty," Ghanos – one of the Universe 4 Warriors – said.

"Of course it is," Pell replied. "As we said, the Entity is formless and incorporal. So it is only visible when it shows itself."

He sounded actually like he was annoyed to have to answer a stupid question.

`Of course,´ Trunks thought silently. Formless and incorporal. What had they expected? The question was: What now?

Hit was looking around in the endless room, thinking.

"So what are we doing now?" he asked. "Can you find and target the being like this or do we have to wait till it shows itself?"

"Even like this we should be able to sense it´s position," Jiren stated. "Or are your skills not good enough to do that assassin?" he asked.

The ones who knew Jiren were surprised by the obvious challenge in his voice. But ever since the Tournament of Power he had become more open to others and less stoic.

On the other side he also started to show his pride more openly and was more passionate about the credo of the Pride Troopers.

And the way the Pride Troopers and Hit looked at each other was not very favorable, even back in the Tournament.

No wonder – the ones were declared Fighters for Justice, the other was a assassin, working for a God of Destruction.

"Enough of that," Heles said. "We will just find the Entity and then – as our guests from Universe 7 had suggested – we try to destroy it together."

The topic became mood however, with the four beings who just appeared inside the room, close to them – Towa, Mira and Saek… and a small alien none of them had seen before.

"I fear we can not let you do that," Towa said.

"You!" Ribrianne called out.

They all powered up.

Goten and Trunks turned into SSj2.

Cabba and Caulifla went right into Super Sayan Blue and Kale into her controlled Green SSJ Form .

They others raised their power as well. All of them went into fighting positions.

Heles and Pell turned around to their enemies as well, with Jiren and Toppo at their sides.

Quitella moved right behind them.

"So we were right," Heles said. "You are here for the being trapped in this Fortress."

"Yes we are," Towa replied. "I see you had figured that out."

"We will stop you," Toppo declared.

"We will see," Towa countered.

"Who is that guy?" Caulifla asked, pointing at Hoy.

"No idea – possibly one of their helpers," Cabba said. "I am not sure if it matters right now Caulifla."

Hoy listened to their exchange with a grin forming on his face.

They would regret underestimating him.

"You will see that stopping us is easier said than done," Towa said. "We have a few surprises for you," she told them.

"Quitella."

In the moment she said his name, he had already formed two powerful blasts of Destruction energy in both his hands…

… and then shot both Heles and Toppo right in the back.

All of them froze in shock of what had just happened.

"What?" someone called out.

"Toppo!" Coccotte cried out.

"Lady Heles!" Ribrianne, Rohzhi and Jimeze shouted horrified.

"You – you fiend, how could you do that?" Zirloin yelled.

"Lord Quitella – what are you doing?" even Ghanos called out as well.

"Why?" Kawai whispered in quiet disbelieve.

"What I am doing?" Quitella said. "Let us just say in opposite to Heles here I am not contend to just be erased from existance and brought back on Zeno´s whims," he told them.

"Well – Lord Demigra had made me a better offer."

"You traitor," Coccotte exclaimed.

They all saw to their relief that Heles and Toppo were still alive. They were both far too powerful that even Destruction Energy could not kill them that easily.

But they were both injured.

"Do you have our senzu beans?" Trunks asked Marron.

"Yes."

"Now my Warriors – there is one question," Quitella said. "Will you continue to follow me like before or will you turn against me?"

"I-…" Ghanos said, not sure what to say.

The other Universe 4 Fighters looked insecure as well. The truth was they didn´t like their Lord turning on the other gods at all.

But they were all afraid of him.

In this moment something else happened.

Jiren was loosing his last restraint.

The entire fortress around them - that was being surrounded and held together by the combined power of a God of Destruction and a Kaioshin – was shaking and nearly breaking apart as he released his ki.

"You will pay for this," he said angrily to Quitella and moved to attack him.

But Towa acted as well. She formed an apparation of herself and intercepted him.

But Jiren just punched through it.

The moment he needed for that however was enough for the real Towa to move and attack him from the side.

Their fight however was interrupted by something else.

The Entity of this fortress was finally showing itself.

Their was ruly nothing like a physical form or true appearance.

What now appeared in the center of the hall seemed only to consist of something ressembling shadows or black clouds and lightning that was flashing up around it in a inregular pattern.

When it first showed up it was only a globe of dark energy. Then it changed into something vaquely ressembling a black colored humanoid shape.

At one point it even seemed to be growing something like tentacles and reaching out at everything around it.

The only thing that staid constant was the immense energy it was radiating.

A loud howling halled through the entire room from the being.

It was the most bizarre thing Trunks, Goten and Marron had ever seen. And they had met beings like Buu, Twenty One or Gero´s cloned brain.

The appearance of this thing caused even Jiren to halt his attack.

The assembled fighters now however also noticed something else.

The small alien their enemies hd brought along was now glowing with magical power and quietly speaking some mysterious chants.

They would have noticed sooner if Quitella had not distracted them.

"He is a wizard," Hit said.

On top of that there was energy flowing from both Saek and Towa to him. Like they were combining their powers to strengthen his.

But it was already too late.

With the performing of Hoy´s ritual, the formless super-entity was not changing into solid shape.

Legs were forming, then a torso and head.

The howling noise of the Entity now turned into a low terrifying growl.

"Yes!" Hoy called out.

He had been sceptical at first. But as he had sensed the unbelievable dark power in this place, he realized that it was truly possible to form a being that surpassed Hildegarn by far.

The resulting creature had much ressemblance to the old Hildegarn. Why change something that had worked out well after all?

It had a similar skull-like head. It´s body however was in a deep black color instead of Hildegarn´s dark green.

It´s long arms had spiky bat-wing like apandages.

The eys of the Beast glowed in a demonic red.

And it was nearly two heads larger than Hildegarn.

It´s power was tremendious, even larger than Heles or Quitella´s.

Once again they all were looking in shock.

Once again another chapter.

This is already the first climax of the current Arc.

I am not sure how much of Hoy´s exact role in this part is to anyone. After all turning formless negative energy into a monster was the way Hildegarn had originally been created in the first place.

Quitella turning traitor was also already hinted before.

Ps. Destruction Energy is not nearly as deadly as some fans try to claim as the ToP Arc shows. Freeza and even Base Goku both survived it. Goku even without any damage (even if it was not a powerful globe, it was Base Goku).

Side comment: Toppo is probably one of the most downplayed characters in Super powerwise. Which ironically goes hand in hand with Seventeen downplay. Since Seventeen "barely" lost a beam struggle with him. While the fact that there was a beam-struggle in the first place means that they could not be far apart. (Remember Vegeta vs Dodoria or Zarbon 10% powerlevel difference is a great thing in raw power 20 to 30 means complete dominance. Skill and experience might change that, but not in a direct clash of blasts.)

SSB Goku had the upper hand over Toppo when he was suppressed. But when he powered up, Goku was not sure if he could win with Blue Kaioken and stated that he considered using BKK times 20 against him.

This suggests that both Toppo and Seventeen might have been around Blue Kaioken Ten Level in the Tournament of Power.

Yet people like to pretend that they are both below regular Super Saiyan Blue.
