Chapter 510 Undressed

"

Jax started smiling before Scarlett opened the door when he knocked. If he didn't watch it, he was going to turn into a complete pussy, but he was OK showing Scarlett this softer side to him. It was the way a confident man was with the woman he loved. He knew that he could be tough and ruthless when needed. He didn't have to prove it all the time.

Jax was born with many natural talents including the ability to flawlessly undress a woman. He had an instinctive grasp of how a woman's clothes needed to come off and never made awkward rookie moves. For example, he understood women had decorative things like buttons on their clothes that had nothing to do with fastening their clothes to their bodies as Juice had the misfortune to find out the hard way.

One night, a very drunk Juice spent twenty minutes trying to unbutton the top of a giggling crow-eater before Jax pantomimed pulling the top over her head. On the bright side, it was the last time Juice made that mistake. He learned some buttons served no purpose beyond appearance.

Jax also feared no bra clasp. He understood them all from the bustier with all its hooks and eyes to the trickier front clasp slot style bra fastener. He prided himself on his undressing skills.

The second he saw Scarlett, he was already figuring out how to take off her clothes. She was wearing a V-neck red T-shirt that would be easy to pull over her head. Her skirt took him a second to figure out. Some skirts had zippers, others had buttons and still others had elastic around the waist. It was difficult to be entirely sure there wasn't a zipper tucked into a seam, but Jax assessed Scarlett's long white skirt with it's big bright pink and red flowers as the elastic waist type because it was a fuller skirt. Typically skirts with zippers fit closer to the body.

She looked beautiful—not that she ever looked bad—but especially today, she was breathtaking. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail with loose tendrils of hair framing her face. Her make up just accented her beauty, a little mascara, a light blush and cherry red lips. Damn, she looked delicious.

"Jax, your hair," Scarlett exclaimed after shutting the door, "it shrunk."

"Must be the new shampoo," Jax said chuckling. Leave it to Scarlett to come up with a new take on a haircut.

"Didn't think you could look any better, but somehow you managed it," she said.

He pulled her into his arms catching the scent of her perfume. Sometimes she didn't wear perfume, sometimes she smelled of flowers, but his favorite was when she wore the exotic spicy scent that she was wearing today. She'd sprayed it in her hair and he breathed it in before he kissed her.

That kiss contained all the pent up desire he was feeling. It was the Jax Teller melt her bones kiss as she called it. He made sure to keep a firm hold on her just in case. She was so soft and sweet and she tasted so good. He'd never wanted a woman as much as he wanted Scarlett and he'd never waited for as long as he waited for her. He didn't regret waiting for her until she was ready, but he was damned glad the wait was over and they could finally get to really enjoy each other.

"Stop me or we'll never get to the lake house," Jax said, his voice husky. It would be so easy to move them a few yards to the right, down a short hallway and into her bedroom.

Scarlett put her hand on his chest getting some distance between their bodies. Jax remembered that move well from their early days. She'd put her hand out to keep him from getting too close.

"Not a problem," Scarlett said, her lips curved into an amused smile. "I only ate a bag of salad for dinner and didn't have breakfast. I'm hungry and you promised me Mexican food for lunch."

"OK, we better get out of here and get you fed. Is your bag in your bedroom?"

"On the bed," Scarlett said. She still wasn't able to lift much more than a two liter bottle of soda without painfully pulling the muscles in her back.

Jax got her bag and walked out into the garage, opened the garage door and put it in the trunk of the Corvette. Scarlett was going to back the car out so it would be easier for Jax to park his bike in the garage. She got into the car and turned the ignition. Nothing happened. She tried again and again nothing. She got out of the car and told Jax.

"It's probably the battery. I'll take care of it Tuesday when we get back."

"You'll take care of it for me?"

"Of course," Jax said smiling at her surprise. "Just part of the awesome fringe benefit package you get by being my old lady."

"Hmmm," Scarlett said considering this piece of information. "That is a pretty great benefit."

Jax got off his bike, took the car keys and moved her bag to the van. He took out his bag and the present for Scarlett and added them to the van before returning the keys to Scarlett who had climbed into the van. She backed the van out of the garage. Jax parked his bike inside. Scarlett closed the garage door using the remote in the van and drove them to the Mexican restaurant. The Corvette was just a minor problem and it wasn't about to cause them to change their plans. It was just another hurdle they had to get over.

Jax brought Scarlett's present into the restaurant. They were given a booth in the back as preferred and frequent customers. The waitress brought them iced teas with the chips and salsa.

"What's in the bag?" Scarlett asked.

"That's a present for you. I'll give it to you after you eat your lunch."

"Am I going to need to clean my plate to get the present?"

"No, but you usually do," Jax said with a grin.

"The food is just too good to waste," Scarlett pointed out.

They smiled at each other. Jax remembered that while it had only been a few months since he'd had sex; it had been a few years for Scarlett. She must be all kinds of frustrated. Good thing, he knew exactly what to do to help her with that.

After their lunch of a shredded beef taco and a beef tamale with rice for her and a cheese enchilada, beef tamale and a chicken taco with rice and beans for him, Jax got to his feet and brought the gift bag to her and then resumed his seat across from her in the booth. He could hardly wait to see the expression on her face when she saw her gift.
