The Watchtower.
September 12, 17:45 EDT.

Dinah was deep into a thick psychology text when an alert drew her attention back to the computer bank. "Watchtower to Batman."

"I'm a little busy right now, Canary," he replied over the speakers a moment later. "Is it an emergency?"

"No," Dinah replied. "But you wanted to know when the Terror Twins reappeared?"

"Affirmative," confirmed the Dark Knight. "I believe we can use them in the Belle Reve investigation. What's their location?"

"They hit a Gemini Gems in Independence, Missouri. By the time the Central City SWAT team was able to mobilise to assist they'd disappeared."

"Arrowette, Flash, Kid Flash, Green Arrow, Robin and I are on the way to Minnesota on another matter," Batman told her. "Can you contact Hawkman and Hawkwoman to assist with the search?"

"I'm on it," Dinah confirmed.

"Keep me updated on their progress," ordered the Dark Knight. "Batman out."

Mount Justice.
September 13, 17:16 EDT.

When Conner and M'gann entered the Cave after cheerleading practice, they were surprised to see not just the expected Kaldur and Red Tornado, but also Batman, Martian Manhunter and most surprisingly Superman…

"Good afternoon," said Batman, gruffly.

"Do you have a mission for us?" M'gann asked eagerly.

"Not right now," Batman admitted. "But we are in the planning phases and things have advanced enough that that I want you to be able to act as soon as we're ready."

Conner nodded, that made sense.

"This past Fourth of July, four ice villains staged simultaneous attacks…" Four holo-screens popped into view. "Mr. Freeze, Icicle Jr., Killer Frost, and Captain Cold were all easily apprehended… perhaps too easily. Cold and Frost were immediately sent to Belle Reve Penitentiary, a federal prison designed to house super-criminals… The seventeen-year-old Icicle Jr was sent to a juvenile facility… Mr. Freeze to his usual cell in Arkham Asylum…" Batman paused for a moment. "But Freeze petitioned the court to be declared legally sane and Icicle Jr sued to be tried as an adult. As a result, both await transport to Belle Reve which seems to have been the goal all along. I'm sending the two of you in to find out why."

Conner had a number of questions, but Kaldur spoke first. "Who inside the prison will know their true identities?"

"No one," Batman answered firmly. "We can't be certain the prison staff isn't compromised."

Kaldur didn't look pleased with the answer, but predictably didn't argue.

"How are we going to do that?" Conner asked.

"The plan is that you will take on the identities of two teenage villains, and when handed over to the authorities you will apply to tried as adults and placed at Belle Reve," Batman replied, and brought up two more holo-screens. "I believe you are familiar with the individuals in question…"

Conner nodded. Yeah, that could work…

Belle Reve Parish.
September 16, 21:55 CDT

Conner and M'gann – disguised the Terror Twins – shared the back of a transport van with Mister Freeze, Icicle Jr and sheriff's deputy. "Dude. Dude…" said Icicle Jr, leaning over in Conner's personal space. "Your sister is sweeet!"

M'gann grunted in disgust and glanced towards the single window in the back.

"How about you put in a good word for me?" Icicle Jr asked.

Before Conner could respond, the deputy hit the ice villain with the butt of his rifle to get him back in his seat.

Icicle Jr groaned in pain.

"Sit down," barked the deputy, then smirked. "We're here…"

Belle Reve Penitentiary.
September 16, 22:16 CDT.

As they passed through the main gates of the prison, Conner could hear the cars that had been escorting them drift to a stop and the helicopter turn and fly away.

When their transport came to a stop, the deputy moved to the door and lead the four prisoners out in the courtyard and lining them up.

"I am the law of last resort…" declared a commanding female voice from above them.

Conner looked up and easily spotted the speaker, a stocky black woman in a black suit, light blue dress shirt and black tie, who stood on a balcony at least ten feet above them. "My name is Amanda Waller… I am not your mother, your maiden aunt, or your friend. I am your warden, and you are my prisoners." She places her empty hand on the half-wall before her. "The proprietary collars you wear are custom-designed to inhibit your specific meta-abilities… No strength, no ice…" She picked up a large black remote and displayed it. "In addition, the collars can and will be used to discipline inmates. A con who breaks the rules gets one warning."

Waller pressed the large blue button on the remote, and then watched impassively as the collars released blue shocks that nearly brought all four new arrivals to their knees.

"If order has not been restored, the next shock will render the offender unconscious," Waller continued. "At the slightest hint of trouble, this facility goes into lockdown. Belle Reve's walls are thick enough to hold Superman."

Conner briefly glanced down at his own collar.

"We know, we checked."

Conner and M'gann briefly shared a glance at this statement.

"No one's ever escaped Belle Reve. No one ever will."

A lithely built, bearded and pale man – a stark contrast to the dark, stocky Waller – stepped forward.

"Oh… this is Professor Hugo Strange," observed Waller. "He is your maiden aunt."

"Actually, I'm the prison psychiatrist and I promise you a sincere attempt at rehabilitation," explained the man, who wore a dark grey suit, black turtleneck and tinted glasses. His voice was far softer than Waller's but held the same level of command.

"Because we know you types are all about sincerity," Waller commented sardonically, and smiled.

Block Four.
22:29 CDT.

The heckling of the prisoners followed the group as Conner and Icicle Jr were led to their cells in the upper level by the guards.

(Conner? Can you hear me?) asked M'gann, her psychic voice coming in clear to Conner's mind.

(Uh, yeah,) Conner responded easily. (But I thought the collars…)

(Designed to inhibit Tuppence Terror's super-strength,) replied M'gann confidently. (Not my telepathy. But your strength is…)

(Not at Superman's level, I get it,) Conner snapped.

(No, that's not what I was…)

(Whatever,) Conner retorted as the man in front of him comes to a stop.

The cell door buzzes as it slides open.

"Home sweet home," said one of the guards, a short, round-bodied man, in a heavily nasaled accent.

The second guard, hit Conner between the shoulder blades with his rifle to force him the cell, then did the same to Icicle Jr. Both teens turned to watch as the door closed and locked behind them.

"I call top bunk," said Icicle Jr brightly.

Chow Hall.
06:16 CDT.

"Stick with me, cellmate," suggest Icicle Jr, confidently. "I'll show you the ropes."

"Ah, who you kiddin'?" objected Conner. "You ain't been in Belle Reve befo'. Ya liable to get me hang' wit' dem ropes."

"I may never have been incarcerated here, Tommy," Icicle Jr retorted.

Surprised by the other teen's seriousness, Conner let it stand.

"But trust me, I know whereof I speak," joked Icicle Jr and after a few more steps, he slowed again and looked directly at a particular person. "For starters, we pay homage to the top of the food chain."

Conner followed Icicle Jr's glaze to a group of five men sitting at the corner of the bleachers. Blockbuster and Mammoth stood tall in front of the bleachers with their backs turned to the other three who were seated: Mr. Freeze, Captain Cold and another man that Conner didn't know.

"The big dog," declared Icicle Jr, the dread clear in his voice. "The prison capo… My father."

"That's your fa-" Conner starts, so shocked that he forgets his accent for a moment. "Tha-that's yer pa?"

"Yep," confirmed Icicle Jr. "Icicle Sr."

As if trying to prove that he's actually scarier than Icicle Jr making him out to be, Icicle glared at someone in his line of sight.

"Reeks when your dad is the man, you know?"

Conner looked down for a moment. "Believe me, ah know."

"Hey, how many ice villains does it take to screw in a light bulb?"

"No one cares, Nigma," Senior growled at the lanky brunet.

"Of- of course not, boss man," stuttered Nigma but quickly regained his confidence. "I just thought if you're having a powwow, you might need my know-how."

Blockbuster and Mammoth crowded towards the lanky man and growled. Getting the hint, Nigma wisely opted to leave.

"Get a load of Riddler, trying to run with the big boys," commented Brick, as the lanky man passed his group. "Riddle me this, doofus… who's the biggest joke in Belle Reve? And it ain't the Joker."

Everyone laughed.

Icicle Jr breathed in through his nose and sighed, giving Conner a lopsided smile. "Here goes nothing."

Professor Ojo – his laser eye now covered by a yellow clamp – jumped Icicle Jr as he moved forward, taking him to the ground with a choked grunt. "Hello, Icicle Jr… I warned you what would happen next time we crossed paths." the man sits on Icicle Jr's waist ready to start punching him in the face.

"Ojo, buddy… pal… mi amigo…" Icicle Jr greeted the old man cheerfully as the man sat on his waist and raised a fist to start punching.

Conner grabs Ojo from behind by the shoulders. "Ge' off ah him," he snarled, before delivering a solid right hook to the helmet.

Ojo grunted as he landed at Brick's feet.

The red man pounded his fist into his open hand as he glared at Conner. "Boy, that was not wise."

As the three approached, Conner helped Icicle Jr to his feet, completely unafraid. One of Brick's lackeys grabbed the young ice villain and pulled him away. Conner moved to help him but was blocked by the third man. Conner squared up into a fighting stance as the other three begin to surround him. As he did so, he heard a guard on the gallery noting that 'new fish need to learn'.

Ojo rubbed his jaw, clearly spoiling to continue the fight.

Brick grabbed Conner in a headlock, smirking. "Free shot, Ojo."

Ojo smirked, but then stopped, stunned. "Wait, I know him…"

Conner reached back, grabbed Brick by the head and threw the large man at Ojo.

"He's…" continued the visored man but was cut off as the pair collided and fell to the ground with a combined grunt.

Conner moved to continue fighting but was grabbed by two more of Brick's lackeys.

"Not wise," Brick snarled as he got off of Ojo. "Not wise at all."

Ojo puts a hand on Brick's shoulder. "Don't you understand? He's… he's Tommy Terror!"

"He's roadkill," countered Brick with a snarl, and pushed Ojo away from him with a grunt, then charged at Conner with a fist extended as the teen fought against the two people that held him.

"Enough!" Icicle Sr declared, and his deep, dark voice caused everyone to stop short. "Kid's got guts, the kind of guts a father wouldn't mind seeing in his own son…"

Icicle Jr was thrown in front of Conner by his captor. He stumbled a little but managed to keep himself upright. He turned towards his father as he rolled out his right shoulder. "Great to see you too, Dad."

"Get over here."

Conner goes to follow him but is stopped by Brick. "Not you, Terror. Just Icicle Jr."

Conner snuck a glance at Brick, then turned his ear to the conversation amongst the ice villains.

"All right, Icicle… we're all here," declared Freeze. "Now what?"

"Now we put the final pieces in place to bust every single con out of Belle Reve," replied Icicle Sr.

Block Four.
08:16 CDT.

As soon as the two sets of uniforms were passed through the delivery slot, Conner immediately picked up both and looked them over.

Icicle Jr was chilling on the upper bunk, once he noticed what Conner was examining, he sat up and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. "Tommy boy, I'd advise putting the new rags on sooner than later." The smirk on his face told Conner he was far more serious than his teasing tone and fake Southern accent would suggest.

Conner turns his back to Icicle Jr as he unzips his overalls. (The break is coming, sooner than later.)

(Updating Aqualad now.)

(Time to pull you out… Calling the League.)

(Icicle would postpone,)objected M'gann. (We need to learn how they're busting out or they'll just try again."

(Agreed,)sighed Aqualad. (We remain on alert.)

Psychiatrist's Office,
Medical Wing.
09:45 CDT.

Conner and M'gann sat facing Professor Strange, who sat in an ornate chair of his own. Conner was sitting slouched and leaning on his fist, while M'gann sat perfectly straight facing forward.

"Here's my concern… your anti-social tendencies are a roadblock to rehabilitation and are often the result of a conflict with the mother figure," Strange observed, then leaned forward, waiting for either or both of them to respond. "Hmm? Hmm?"

Conner breathed in heavily, then looked at the doctor, then almost deflated as he closed his eyes.

M'gann looked over at Conner, her expression filled with compassion and worry. "It's really more of a father figure thing…"

Conner's eyes flew open, and he glared at her.

"Interesting, Tuppence…" Strange mused. "Expand on that?"

"Or… don't," objected Conner.

"Healing requires open dialogue, Tommy," Strange admonished him, then turned to M'gann. "Go on, my dear."

"Well, he won' admit it but Tommy really wants to be like his- ar father."

Conner snapped his head away from the conversation, hand covering his mouth.

"Be able ta fill Pa's shoes, y'know? But Pa's distan' a' bes' refuses ta give Tommy time a day. I' makes Tommy feel unworthy of…"

"Or maybe Tommy refuses to live in Tuppence's stupid fantasy world where every problem's solved in half an 'our," snapped Conner as he rockets to a standing position.

As the shock falls away, fear creeps up and M'gann couldn't keep looking at his angry, hurt, betrayed expression anymore and she broke eye contact and looked down with her eyes closed and a hand over her mouth.

Conner stood over her, he was momentarily confused… with his emotions quickly shifting to stunned fear.

"Excellent," said Strange happily. "I think we made a real breakthrough today."

Conner raised an eyebrow, nonplussed… wondering what they have figured out that he hadn't.

Chow Hall.
12:16 CDT.

Conner is on his way from the chow-line to a seat when he heard a familiar voice from one of the televisions, he glanced up at it.

"This is Cat Grant reporting from Chicago, where the Manhunter from Mars has defeated the Headmaster…"

Conner continued to listen to the report but shifted most of his attention to the group of villains at the centre of the escape plot.

"That accounts for every Leaguer except Red Tornado," observed Freeze confidently as the group shared a look.

"Probably on monitor duty, or whatever," mumbled Icicle Sr, quietly enough that most of the inmates would struggle to hear him. "Even if he does show, he can't handle all of us alone." His expression went hard in an instant and he growled. "Don't even think about it, Nigma."

"It's fine, fine," snapped the puzzle-master. "No one can say the Riddler goes where he's not wanted."

"Wow…" remarked Brick, which stopped the Riddler short. "That philosophy must not leave you with a lot of options. Beat it."

Nigma glared at the bigger man but walked off to laughter from Icicle's table.

"So, how come you ain't sitting wi' yer pa?" Conner asked Icicle Jr curiously, as he sat down opposite the other boy.

Icicle Jr paused, his expression looking like Conner had spat in his meal. "Because my pa is a jerk who only wants me around when he needs me," Icicle Jr hissed, then he glared over his shoulder that the man. "But I try not to live or die over getting his approval, you know?"

Conner doesn't reply, suddenly uncomfortable with how much he sympathised with the young villain.

"So, tell me about your sister."

"Wha'? Uh…" stammered Conner, momentarily caught off-guard by the change in subject. "Sh-she's a pain. Why?"

Icicle Jr reached over and half-slugged Conner in the shoulder. "Dude, she's hot."

Conner, confused, glanced at the spot that the other teen had hit.

"You can't see it because you're family…"

Conner dragged his attention back to the other teen as he shrugged. "But I look at her and think… 'that chick gets me'… and really, that's all you need… someone who sees the psycho that you are and likes you anyway."

Conner actually looks surprised that Icicle Jr actually said something that he can actually agree with and understand the sentiment behind. "Yeah, yer like an evil genius," Conner observed blandly, surprised that Icicle Jr had said something that he could understand and agree with.

Icicle Jr raised a fist. "Word."

The two shared a fist-bump.

Mister Freeze stands up suddenly. "That's it, old man. I'm done genuflecting…" He raised his lunch tray and nailed Icicle in the face with it.

The two teens – along with everyone else in the cafeteria – rocketed to their feet, stunned by the attack.

"Belle Reve needs a new capo," snarled the Gotham iceman, and kicked Icicle in the face with his thick boot.

"This ain't Arkham, Freeze," declared one of the guards in a gravelly tone, as Freeze writhed in pain as his collar was activated. He held the button on his remote until the Gothamite feel to his knees and then released it and watched as Freeze fell onto his side. "We don't put up with prima donnas… take him to Waller."

Two more guards stepped up to the huge ice villain and then began to carry him away, struggling under the weight.

Block Four.
12:33 CDT.

As the two teens head back towards their cell together, Icicle Jr was suddenly snatched by the arm by his father who swung him into the wall.

Icicle Snr looked around, clearly rattled as he loomed over his surprised son. "There's a glitch," he hissed. "Can't reach Frost."

"'Xcus' me," whispered Conner now that the coast was clear. "I couldn' help overhearin'…"

"That'll happen when you eavesdrop," snarled Icicle.

"Yeah, well, ah can help," Conner continued with a small smile. "I go' dis mind-link wit' mah sister."

"I know your stats, boy… super-strength only, no telepathy…"

Conner glanced down the hall. "It don' pay ta advertise when they're slappin' collars 'round yer neck," he countered, then turned back to Icicle, smirking a little. "But we're twins, see? Got de psychic thing in-utero… So, you talk ta me, ah talk ta sis, sis talks ta Fros'."

Senior stood up straight and glanced from side to side once more. "Alright, send the message…" he decided, then whispered "'It's going down… now'."

12:36 CDT.

Doors began to open, and the prisoners flooded out in the corridor and charged the two guards on duty en masse, some stopped to engage them, and others pushed past them to the main door out of the block.

In the chaos, Conner briefly lost sight of his targets, but quickly tracked them to one of the empty cells in time in time to see Icicle Jr regrowing his ice-armoured and shattered his collar. "Strength should be back, dude," Icicle Jr observed, seeing that Conner was still wearing his collar.

"Right, right," Conner mumbled, then yanking at the collar with one hand and broke it in half.

Icicle Sr looked oddly at him. "How's things going with Frost?"

(Superboy, I think my cover's been…)

Conner goes from confused to worried as he felt the link go down. "Miss Martian?" He paused for a moment, and fear began to creep into his mental voice as the link remained silent. "M'gannM'GANN!"

12:48 CDT.

The guards are pushed into a cell by Mammoth, Blockbuster, and Icicle Sr. "The prisoners now control the prison," declared Icicle Sr as he, Blockbuster and Mammoth hustle Waller and Strange into a cell and close it behind them.

"That's not the same as escaping it," replied Waller in a low, even tone.

"Then we'd better get to work," declared Icicle, and walked away from the warden. He paused in front of a pair of double doors, the other three male ice villains and Conner are waiting for him there. He ignored the two teens, not even giving them a glance as he moved between his two peers, then a moment later they attacked the door with their powers, causing a chilling cold of air as feedback.

Conner looked around surprised at the sounds of distress from the imprisoned guards as all the metal surfaces begin to ice up.

The three ice villains paused, allowing Blockbuster and Mammoth to step up and pound on the weakened door for a moment.

"Excellent," Freeze mused, considering the cracked and crumbling obstacle as the two powerhouses stepped back again. "At this rate, we'll have our exit in ten minutes."

Icicle Sr made no comment but raised his gauntleted arm again as the two powerhouses moved out of the way. Once they were clear, he attacked the door again, joined a moment later by the two other ice villains.

"Genius, huh?" asked Icicle Jr with a smirk.

"Uh, yeah…" Conner mumbled, still distracted by his fear for his team-mate. (M'gann, please… can you hear me? I will reach you, somehow… I promise.)

"Hey, kid… still in touch with your sister?" asked Icicle, startling them both. "Everything copacetic in Chick Central?"

"Yeah, copacetic," replied Conner, with only a slight waiver betraying his true feelings.

"Then why you both standing around?!"

Icicle Jr smiled. "We're on it, Dad." He dragged Conner away from the other villains and into the laundry room. Once in the room, he considered the walls for a moment, then attacked one of them with his powers. "This wall adjoins the women's wing."

Despite his distraction, Conner immediately figured out what the other teen meant and stepped up to the frozen patch of concrete.

Icicle Jr smirked. "We work it from our end…"

Conner punched the wall hard, then again and again.

"… Then the babes cross over into our wing, and we all walk free together."

(I'm coming, M'gann,) promised Conner as he continued to pound on the wall. (Hold on.)

13:16 CDT.

After a pause for Icicle Jr to refreeze the now heavily-dented wall, Conner continues to pound on it. (I'm getting closer, M'gann,) Then he realised that he had another problem and paused. (But I can't save you if I have to fight every con in Belle Reve.) After a few seconds thought, he had an idea and he glanced back at Icicle Jr, raising an eyebrow as if he'd suddenly got a surprise. "Icicle Jr, listen… ah jus' got me a warning from Tup…" He gestured over his shoulder to prove his point. "Collars are turning back on in the women's wing. Coul' happen t' dis side any minute…"

Icicle Jr's eyes went wide. "Oh, man, we better tell Dad."

Conner smirked. "Or you coul' show some initiative."

Icicle Jr looked away for a moment as he thought it over. When he turned back to Conner, he gave him a hopeful smile. he's slow to give him a smile that turns hopeful quickly.

After a moment, the pair reach the administration offices, which were fully powered and ice-free. Professor Ojo stood in front of the door into the warden's office, flanked by Hook and Kadabra. "Freeze said no one goes in," he told him in an annoyed and condescending tone.

"Dude, you want your collar to turn back on?!" snapped Icicle Jr.

Ojo merely crossed his arms.

"We don' have time fer this!" gripped Conner, charged in and struck the villain with a strong uppercut that knocked the man into the wall hard enough to dent it.

Hook moved in with a strong swipe at Conner's head, but the teen ducked, and before Hook could try again, Icicle Jr struck him with an ice blast that froze him to the wall.

Kadabra moves to attack but was nailed by Icicle Jr before he could do anything.

"Keep an eye on 'em," ordered Conner, as he moved to the door of the warden's office. "Ah'll make sure dem collars stay off."

"Fool," Ojo snarled as he pushed himself on to his hands and knees. "He's using you, I remember him now…" He looks to Conner, undeterred by the teenager turning and storming towards him. "He's…"

Conner nails him in the head with a solid punch, knocking the man straight back to the ground, then turned around and strode back to the door to the warden's office, opened the door and entered the dimly lit roon, shutting the door behind him.

It only took him a moment to find the master control, so he only had time to input a quick timecode and activate the timer before Icicle Jr pushed open the door and ask how it was going.

"It's done," Conner reported, moving to the door and quickly exited the office.

Icicle Jr smiled brightly. "Dad's gonna love this."

Conner doubted that but didn't comment as they hurried back to their post.

13:25 CDT.

They made it back to their post without any distractions, and Conner was working on the wall when Blockbuster and Mammoth stalked up to them.

Conner struck the wall once more before turning towards the monsters, shouts one last time as he delivers an even harder punch than normal before turning to the monsters, then noticed the massive Mister Freeze approaching from another angle. "I went back to the warden's office," began the Gothamite ice villain. "Hook and Kadabra were taken out by ice beforetheir collars reactivated. Your father and Cold were with me the whole time, so…"

"What are you talking about?" Icicle Jr asked, annoyed. "We stoppedthe collars from turning back on… Oh, and you're welcome."

Freeze glared at the teens but doesn't comment.

"Don' you ge' it?" Conner whispered to Icicle Jr, then continues a little louder. "You heard Freeze in the mess… This 's 'is power play. He's takin' what belongs ta yer pa."

Freeze's eyes widen as he gets angrier at the realization that he figured out Icicle Jr's true plan.

"Traitor!" declared Icicle Jr and Freeze simultaneously and firing streams of ice at each other.

Conner easily dodges the converging streams before the collide in a shattering crystalizing nebula of power.

With a growl, Mammoth lunges at Conner and tries to hit him, and Blockbuster followed close behind.

Conner grapples with the two monsters for several rounds before noticing that Freeze had overpowered Icicle Jr, putting the other teen on the defensive.

"Amateur," taunted Freeze. "You can't possibly hope to beat me at my own game."

He may have a point, Conner mused as the two monstrous goons struggled to their feet. "How 'bout we trade dance partners?"

Icicle Jr glanced over his shoulder. "Deal."

Moving quickly before the other villains could react, Conner jumped as high as he could, angling to land near Freeze and leaving Icicle Jr an open field to attack the other two. As he landed, he struck Freeze in his helmet dome, shattering it. At the same time, Icicle Jr froze the two powerhouses with a stream of ice.

"No… No…" stammered Freeze. "My suit is breached. Can't survive unless…" Then raised his gauntlet and shoot himself in the face, freezing most of his upper body and taking himself out of play.

"I got mine," declared Icicle Jr when Conner glanced back in his direction. "But I don't know if that ice will hold them."

"Jus' keep a' it," Conner told him. "Pile on de ice… ah'll finish up." Then he shoulder-charged straight into the weakened wall, knocking through what was left.

Killer Frost and Devastation stood waiting for him. "Well, well, well… it's the brother," sneered Frost. "Care to share Tuppy's fate?"

As her gaze moved to his right, Conner followed her, almost immediately coming to…

The figure of M'gann suspended in a thick block of ice.

He was numb with shock for a moment, but then yelled in anguish as he charged towards the block. Devastation met him halfway and took a hard punch to the face and hit him back.

Frost stands watching them fight for a moment, but then snapped at Devastation. "Get out of the way." But Devastation was absorbed in her fight and ignored her. "Oh, fine, I'll ice you both."

Conner spotted her attack out of the corner of his eye and manages to manoeuvre the huge woman so that she took the blast straight on, freezing her into another block, which he throws at Frost, knocking them both to the ground, unconscious.

"Dude, what are you thinking?" asked Icicle Jr, clearly confused.

Conner stood slowly, but as he moved purposely across the room Icicle Jr quickly realized what he's looking at. "Oh. Aw, dude, I'm sorry."

Conner came to a stop before her, then raised a hand to wipe away the fog so her face is no longer obscured. A parade of flit across his face as he closed his eyes and dropped his head forward, his eyebrows knitted together in pain.

"And she was such the total babe too."

Conner ignored the comment, then stepped back with an angry look on his face.

Icicle Jr quickly realised what he was going to do. "Dude, stop!"

The fear in his voice was enough to make Conner pause his attack and turn towards him. "You'll shatter her… assuming she's still alive in there at all."

(M'gann, please don't leave me…)

Everything is quiet for a moment, the block quakes and shatters itself, causing M'gann to fall to the floor.

Conner reaches for her and quickly helped her to her feet. "Are you…?"

"It's pretty cold where I come from," M'gann replied. Conner shifted his hold to her waist and her jaw. "I'll be al…"

Whatever she was about to say was cut off as Conner kissed her.

"Dude, that's your sister!" objected Icicle Jr loudly, eyes wide… as M'gann shifts back to herself, green skin, freckles, and auburn hair.

"What?" stammered Icicle Jr, glancing between the shattered block, then to Frost and Devastation. "Wait… is she? And are you?" He groaned, then whined. "Oh, Dad's gonna kill me."

Undeterred and oblivious to Icicle Jr's turmoil the two teens continued to kiss.
