Yo! Son Goku and friends! Saiyan Saga (Chapter 1)

Raditz

The sky was calm for a moment. The clouds shifted by slowly and in tandem with the steady windstream. An older gentleman tended to his row of corn, picking and sussing out the right ears so as not to eat any unwanted critters in his soon to be meal. A brown mutt with a certain weathered, droopy look about her sniffed and stood idly by the farmer happily.

"I know old girl, we're finally getting some good rain here and there." The man bleated out cheerily, patting the bloodhound woofer.

"Whoof."

"I agree, Remi."

As the man tended to his crops and conversed with his dog, a strange misshapen, what seemed to be a meteorite, tore across the sky. Screeching and mystical sounds blasted towards the farmer like so:

EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeaaaaaarrrrahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Khommmph!

Glenn had never seen anything like it.

"What a strange noise." The man mused. "Never seen a meteor so up close before." He pondered aloud. "You wanna go see it, Remi?"

"Whaf." Remi agreed quickly before running ahead.

The farmer and his dog walked for about a minute to the crash site, upon which they discovered that the landing was not of a rock, but a strange pod of some kind. The pod had a grey exterior and a deep red glassy node which looked to be a window.

"Well I'll be…" The farmer stated inquisitively, adjusting his straw hat before scratching his black beard.

Upon the farmer's revelation the pod opened up, the red window shifting down towards the ground and revealing the maroon interior of the pod. A very large man stomped out of the pod somewhat lackadaisical. He had this insane mane of black hair, spikes jutting out every which way. His clothing seemed to be tribal armour of unknown origins. It was yellow with two pauldrons, a black torso and 3 more yellow protrusions at the waist, matching the shoulders. The man also possessed matching gauntlets and boots to boot. A green eye piece was stationed on his right eye, gyrating back and forth while calculating shapes and numbers.

Remi sniffed the air around the pod man with a guarded stance trying very carefully to ascertain whether or not this big creature was a threat to his master.

"Me no like." Was Remi's judgement. "Smell not like other of master's litter."

Remi was correct. Even though this man resembled the faint idea of a human, he was far from it. His towering physique of 6'3 was already an indicator of that. His name was Raditz, a descendant of the race of warriors. The Saiyans.

"Huh, Earth really is just like Vegeta. They even have dogs. Small wonder why they sent Kakarot here... he could breed with the population easily. conquering the land and patching up some of our losses. What an incredible coincidence, these Earthlings really do resemble us. It's uncanny." Raditz raised a brow at the farmer, taking on an inquisitive stance with his right hand tucked under his chin in thought.

"Uhhh…" The farmer let out kind of dumbly, really lost at what Raditz had to say.

"And here I thought that Recoome's world was the only one that could breed with the Saiyans. What an excellent choice, father."

"I'm… sorry?"

"Chuh." Raditz scoffed. "Where are my manners? My name is Raditz, yours?"

"Bu-hu-uhh…"

The man stammers, Raditz having an unpalatable aura. The gulf of strength between the 2 was beyond compare. Raditz battle power was 1,140 on the dot while Glenn's was a measly 3 points. Single digits. The man had never felt ki before, but it was rolling off Raditz in waves, shocking him to the core.

"Baker… Glenn Baker. H-h-howdy."

"HAH!" Raditz belts loudly in a laugh. "You're scared aren't you, Earthling!? I don't blame you! HAH-HAHAHAHAHAH!" Raditz' laugh breaks out into a fit before he settles down.

Glenn swallowed harshly as he stared at the intimidating muscular man.

"Ahh. Sorry about that, I just find it so funny that you're this weak." He let out a few more chuckles as he ran his hand along his face. "I haven't seen a lifeform this pitiful in a long time. No hard feelings of course. Ahh-hum. Don't suppose you know where a man named Kakarot might be?"

Glenn shook his head no in response.

"Dah. I guess they can't all be winners. It's okay Glenn, thanks for telling me."

Raditz put his hand on Glenn's shoulder for reassurance.

It didn't work.

"It was nice chatting with you Glenn, see you never!" Raditz bellowed loudly before blasting off, his initial ki leaving a trail and knocking over the farmer and his dog.

SKkyuuuuuuuuuu~

"Now where do I start my search? Guess the only course of action is to check my scouter and go for the highest power levels."

Raditz jammed his pointer finger onto the red button on his scouter, causing a satisfying "Be-boop!" to occur. The green glass calculated all manners of shapes and numbers around his right eye. The numbers produced the 3 highest values. Raditz toggled the area where the largest number, 400, was with another tap of the button.

"Ahh, here we are. Pretty low, but I suppose it's a respectable number considering he only has double digits to train against. Hold on Kakarot, I'm on my way!" Raditz exclaimed with gusto, excitedly, his flight speed increased dramatically, causing a sonic boom.

Krrrakkuhk! VYOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo~

Raditz was absolutely ecstatic, his heritage was not known for valuing private, non combat relationships very highly but Raditz was different. He had seen his brother Kakarot the day he was born and could not be more happy at the prospect of sharing this life with a younger brother. His father Bardock, mother Gine, and older brother Turles never made time for Raditz and he wanted to break that cycle for Kakarot. The Saiyans were under tight scheduling so this year was really the only time off Raditz was allotted and he was going to make the most of it.

Raditz recalls the time his brother Kakarot saved his life.

Raditz' squadron had been sent to Mayonnai to check on data that said Tuffle-level technology had been created by it's people. Raditz was 16 back then, and the weakest in his squadron at a battle power of 625. He was in Borgo's unit, a veteran Saiyan in his 60's who had run missions with his father Bardock back in the day. Borgo's battle power was 1,400 exactly. The 2nd in command was Lettuisse, a sniper with a battle power of 900 who had been practicing with the recently acquired Tuffle technology. Last but not least was Caulifla, the newest Saiyan in Borgo's squadron. She was a year younger than Raditz but her battle power showed astonishing growth in recent years. She was the strongest in the squad at 4,255 battle power. Caulifla had grown so quickly that people had speculated that Prince Vegeta might take her as his wife once he ascended to the throne.

Caulifla's dream was to be an energy bomber in the royal army, a position that only few beings could ever hope to meet. Not a single Saiyan had ever become an energy bomber in the royal army, only 3 of the Ginyu Force, Lord Frieza's strongest soldiers had potential to be an energy bomber in the royal army. Those were of course Captain Ginyu, the leader of the Ginyu Force, Jeice, his second in command, and Guldo, their communications expert. To be a royal energy bomber was an incredible accolade, and Caulifla was looking for her break out performance.

The sky seared red with laser beams, plasma, explosions, and blood. Borgo's unit was pinned down in a trench, battle rocking all around them. A large mechanical monstrosity stomped a man to death just feet away, he seemed to be wearing the same type of armour as Raditz.

"DAGHHHGG!" GRRRRRRuuukhkhkKH! The horrifying sound is heard easily by the team.

"Why did Lord Frieza send us here during the daytime!?" Borgo questioned angrily. "Is he trying to get us killed!? We didn't have enough intel for this!"

"I swear that's what it seems like!" Lettuisse responds sharply, firing his rifle at the enemy. The first laser misses but Lettuisse's skills track the target excellently, nailing it in the eye with the next volley.

"Get my back!" Borgo shouted.

"Yes sir!" Lettuisse fired back immediately, right in time with his commander.

Borgo rushed the mech, his sturdy body and tough armour weathering the storm of bullets, lasers, and flames. Borgo's armour was not yellow like Raditz, Lettuisse or Caulifla's, it was a muted blue. As he barrels toward the machine it blasted off his right pauldron in an epic beam, deeply injuring his shoulder but Borgo paid it no mind. Once in range he leaped upon the steel beast, and hammered it with the force of a freight train, denting its massive hull inward and crushing the pilot.

"HEEEEEE-YAGHH!" GONNNKH!

"Captain!"

Zyyyeeeeeeew!

A dead body appeared at Borgo's feet. Borgo nodded at Lettuisse, Lettuisse returned the gesture..

"Where's Raditz!? I expect this kind of shit from Caulifla, not him! We need to stay in formation if the enemy is this powerful!"

"I don't know, sir, I couldn't find him after we got flashed. We're lucky you put up that tuffle dome or we would have been toast."

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeahh-HAH!" Caulifla exclaimed cheerfully in a banshee wail, exploding her knee into the chest of an deep all-black creature with horns and yellow eyes. The obsidian skinned creature flew wildly and careened into a building, its body rocking the last of the foundation causing the building to fall over in a massive heap.

"I can do this all day." Caulifla exhaled with bated breaths and a smile. She gyrated her shoulders in tune to music that was simply not playing. Her armour was a mess and she looked like hell, blood absolutely everywhere, not sure how much of it was even hers.

She could not do this all day.

Caulifla had never tried so hard in her life, The Prince was not here but King Vegeta himself was fighting on the frontlines against the Mayonnai. She was trying desperately to get noticed by the king in order to promote. A valiant goal, but not one that could ever be reached by the saiyans as Emperor Cold had a different plan for them. He was not necessarily afraid of their power and heritage, but he wanted to keep an invested eye on their growth as he knew that very few races in the entire North Galaxy could perform a transformation. Saiyans like Caulifla were the ones he intrigued the most, as young as she was, her potential was out of control. He much preferred soldiers like the Ginyu Force who had no ambition of their own, or so he had thought.

Two fists lock against each other like magnets before exploding backwards. Raditz is knocked on his back. His dark black opponent not so much. After the clash his enemy readied a sidearm, blasting at Raditz' face. The saiyan combatant blocked with his scouter, breaking it in the process.

"Ergh." The Mayonnai let out in a scoff.

"Damn, I needed that thing." Raditz scrambled before charging his enemy in a tackle.

As quick as lightning, another foe appeared from his left, completely blindsiding the young Saiyan with a palm strike that pierced through his armour as if it were simply paper mache. His armour broke at the seams and fell apart on the side the enemy struck. Raditz keeled over in agony, his consciousness fading. There are a few blurry seconds of vision he made out during the daze. It was his brother Turles, they locked eyes for a moment before Turles flew off, ignoring him.

"Come on, Raditz. Tch, tch, tch." Turles smirks cockily. "Gotta separate the trash from the elites. Ha ha ha!"

"Am I gonna die?" Raditz doles out bleakly. His mind lost in the sauce of battle, adrenaline, testosterone, and pain.

The two Mayonnai quickly brandished their weaponry, aiming to finish the job. Raditz had a moment of pause, time seeming to slow to a crawl.

"Kakarot... I… I won't die before I see you again!" Raditz screamed with the true primal rage of a Saiyan, a mighty beast roaring alongside him. He plunged his left fist deep into the chest cavity of one of the humanoids. As Raditz had thrown, so had he shot, searing Raditz' left arm down in a line. With impeccable speed Raditz switched gears and slammed his right into the face of the other, pummeling it into the ground thusly.

Unknown to Raditz what he had done was the first step to true ki manipulation. Scouters give the rough idea of the battle power of any given fighter but could not yet accurately detect the density of the energy. Meaning that beings as strong as Lord Frieza's readings would be off as they would measure the potential of a strike NOT how dense the ki was in the surface area they intended to make contact with. Emperor Cold was the only one in his entire kingdom who could source all of his titanic battle power of 700,000 into a single attack. He had been around the block. Even as young as 16 Raditz had opened the floodgates to Ki Sourcing, something that Lord Frieza couldn't do consistently.

Raditz nostalgia ends as he swoops into the mountains, the cold creeping up on him from out of nowhere.

"Why would Kakarot live here? This shit sucks." Raditz said with some disgust, making a face that straddled the line of perturbed and bitch-who-you-think-you-is.

Raditz didn't know it at the time but the man he would meet in the Holly Plains was not Kakarot and was going to be one of his many allies in the future. He would eventually acknowledge him as family and brother-in-arms like the Ginyu Force had for one another.

Goku

The pair of father and son had left their home in about an hour ago but their flying cloud named Nimbus was capable of taking the rider around at blistering speeds. Goku had been given The Nimbus a long time ago by his old martial arts master, Roshi. Gohan and Goku are traveling to Roshi's house to visit as Goku had not seen the man since the last World Martial Arts Tournament 5 years ago. Since then Goku had gotten married to Chi-Chi and became a man of the house. Krillin and Bulma are also longtime friends of Goku's and have gone on many adventures with him since he was a kid. The first of which was the search for the Dragon Balls, mystical treasures which grant the wish of those who assemble all 7.

11 years have passed since the first time Goku and friends had searched for the dragon balls.

The Nimbus dipped and dove around the other clouds in a playful manner with Goku and Gohan in tow. Gohan's face showed a little bit of unease and uncertainty but it would seem that he ultimately trusted his father's judgement. Goku's face shined brightly as his pearly whites beam into the great blue sky. The clouds peel away, finally revealing Roshi's island.

"Sheeeeeesh!" Goku exclaims loudly. "Haaaaa-Ha!" Goku exudes again with gusto.

Roshi's face beamed with excitement as he locked onto his pupil soaring through the sky. Goku leaped off the Nimbus, leaving Gohan on the cloud to tackle his master in an aggressive hug.

"Dah!" Roshi exclaims in a yelp as the two embrace in a tussle.

"How you been old timer?" Goku asked as he lifted Roshi from the sand.

The Nimbus casually winded to a stop just in front of the pair. Goku petted it like a dog when it arrived. Gohan, a little nervous that his dad left him on the cloud alone.

"Better now that you're here. I was startin' to feel like ya' forgot yer old master."

"Never, turtle school for life." Goku exuded with an infectious positivity, patting Roshi on the shoulder. "Where's Bulma, Krillin?" Goku asked inquisitively, eyes wide like a child.

"As much as you've changed, Goku, you're still the same boy." The old man ruminated.

He does not see a damn difference other than the age and his muscles. There is an envy Roshi has for his star pupil, not for his strength but his optimism. Goku had simply not let life affect his whimsy and it almost brought a tear to his shaky eyes.

"They're inside, it's good to see you again, son."

"Aww, you're giving me the warm fuzzies. Good to see you too. This is my son, Gohan. Say hi Gohan!"

Gohan's nerves get the better of him and he only let loose a little wave from behind the shelter he had made by pulling up some of the Nimbus' clouds.

"Wow, he's not like you at all. Heh-heh. He doesn't look like he could hurt a fly." Roshi, clearly taken aback at Goku's son's shyness.

"I know right, it's not gonna be easy to train him if he keeps this up. Chi-Chi wants him to learn medicine and I guess that's alright as long as no more evil guys like Piccolo show up."

There were definitely going to be WAY more evil guys like Piccolo showing up.

"Come on Gohan, we can't sit on the Nimbus all day." Goku chirpped as he lifted his son off the cloud. "Thanks for the lift, Nimbus, I appreciate you."

The Nimbus tipped over as if bowing to Goku before zooming off to do it's own cloud shenanigans, if clouds have anything like that. Gohan grabbed his father's hand tightly and the 3 of them entered Roshi's Abode. The stairs creaked a nostalgic creak for Goku, the green screen door bringing back memories as well.

"Eyyyyyy, the big man himself. The slayerrrrrr." Bulma cheerily teased Goku, flashing a bright smile at him.

"Huh-Hah!" Goku giggled as he rubbed the back of his head embarrassed.

Bulma and Goku hug it out for a moment before he asked:

"You're here so where's Yamcha?"

"Ohhhhh, that jerk! He told me he needed some space like I don't know what he's doing! He's just using that as an excuse to go talk to other girls!"

"Well have you asked him why he needs his space?"

"Uhhh, no?"

"Then don't worry about it and go ask when you're ready, I'm sure he's got a reason."

Goku was a master at diffusing tension, somehow people could never stay heated when Goku was around. Bulma really didn't like all the attention from girls her boyfriend Yamcha was receiving after becoming a professional baseball player. It drove her especially batty since Yamcha started acting more distant, Goku had set her straight though and all she needed to do now was be straightforward.

Bulma let out a sigh.

"You're right, Goku…" She had a moment to herself before realising the tiny little Goku Jr. that had been staring at her the whole time. "You're not just gonna tell me you got a kid already are you?"

"Mmmmmmmaybeeeeee?" Goku fired back jokingly, shrugging his shoulders.

"I... uh… I just can't believe you tied it down before I did." Bulma stated, bewildered, blinking a few times just to make sure.

Goku just scratched his cheek with his index finger and laughed goofily.

"His name is Gohan, he's a shy little guy. Go on Gohan, it's ok."

Bulma squatted down to Gohan's height.

"Hi Gohan, I'm Bulma. Me and your dad go way back. Gimme some up top." Bulma greeted as she presented her right hand for a high five.

Gohan takes the bait. The two clap hands before Bulma asks for another.

"Down low."

Gohan goes for it. Aiming his hand with confidence, he already liked Bulma much more than Roshi. But misses as Bulma pulls her hand away at the last second, Gohan is shocked.

"Too slow!" Bulma shits out gracelessly like a gremlin.

That was fucked up.

Goku lets out an eruption of laughter.

"You got him good, Bulma. Hee-hee-hee-HAUGH-HAUGH-heh-hee-hee-HAUGH!"

"Tss-sss-ss."

The two share a moment during Gohan's suffering. The little kid looked to Roshi who shook his head at the perpetrator and enabler. Gohan's allegiance switches as he walks over to the old master, holding out his hand. Roshi accepts the invitation.

"Come on, let's go see Krillin."

The pair walked up the stairs in the back as Goku and Bulma were absolutely waylaid by the dumb joke. Krillin snored softly on Roshi's bed as the two walked in. Gohan and Roshi meet eyes before Gohan tugged at Krillin's navy blue blazer, to which Krillin reacts swiftly, brushing the enemy? hand aside and groggily taking his turtle hermit stance. Roshi raises his eyebrows in response, impressed.

"Okayyy, I see ye still got the moves."

Krillin scratched his bald head, eyes in bags and groggy.

"Jeez, sorry master HUUUUUHHHH- I guess I was more tired than I thought. Who's this? You trying to hook up with some single mom thottie?" Krillin questioned, raising a brow.

"Krillin this is Goku's kid."

"OH SHIT, I mean- ..shit, I MEAN SHOOOOT. Shooot, shooot, Gokuhasakid?" Krillin tried to speed by to cover his ass. "Huh… that's wild. Nice to meet ya, I'm Krillin."

Krillin extended his hand out to Gohan, Gohan pondered carefully before shaking.

"Well I mean if he's here then that means…"

"Yeup."

"Sick."

Krillin scrambled hurriedly out of the room, darting past Roshi and Gohan, leaping the staircase in one go. Bulma and Goku shifted their gaze to Krillin, startled. Goku's brow creased downward and he readied a smirk.

"I'm right here if you want to go a few rounds Goku, Roshi's a tad too old to be roughin' it with us now. I've even got a few new tricks in store."

"Oh yeeaaaaaah? Well iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii don't!." Goku shouted confidently and stupidly, toothy-ass grin.

"Same old Goku." Krillin thought with a smile.

The two best friends had not seen each other in 5 years. The World Martial Arts Tournament was the last time they saw each other, Goku and Krillin have been rivals for as long as they can remember and it was high time to test how far they had come. There was no telling who would-

"Hey Whis, I've got to take a leak."

"Why do you insist on telling me every time? I don't want to know that."

"Eat my ass, I have to listen to you drone on and on every goddamn day. There's just absolutely no way you get any real plug-existors worth watching on that thing. It drives me up the wall, I'm finna cough a hairball up on one of them shits when you're not looking just to spite you."

"How uncouth."

"Ah-hem."

The two best friends had not seen each other in 5 years. The World Martial Arts Tournament was the last time they saw each other, Goku and Krillin have been rivals for as long as they can remember and it was high time to test how far they had come. There was no telling who would win but as luck would have it Raditz would not let their spar of 5 years in the making, conclude.

Tien

The snow pelted down the mountains ferociously, Raditz' face shifted into annoyance in response to the cold. His body tensed up, and he rolled off him in what could only be an attempt to warm up somehow. The burly Saiyan shook his head in disagreement.

"There's no way Kakarot lives here, Saiyans don't live in whack ass climates like this."

Soon enough, Raditz pulled into view of a low key townscape, the blues of the mountains only cast aside by the yellows and oranges of the lights of a small community.

"No, no, in the back. He's not actually here." Raditz stated aloud as he passed over the village.

The focused Saiyan flew through the air in search of his brother, passing over two more mountains that lay beyond the village.

"Ahh… here we are!" Raditz exclaimed victoriously, shaking his right fist.

Raditz scanned the glacier-like plateau, a large platform bridging together mountains on each side. The state of which looked to be unnatural, and formulated by something. A man was standing on the plateau, arms locked out in a stance, fists closed with his palms facing up. He wore only some baggy white and blue boxer briefs. Even in this cold he wore no shirt, no shoes, nothing. His underwear was the only thing protecting him from the elements. His eyes closed, he was focused. Raditz pulled in close to land and check the man before him.

"Kakarot?" Raditz questioned unconfidently. He knew Kakarot was born with hair and was perplexed by this man not possessing any.

All of Tien's 3 eyes opened at once, and stared intently at Raditz.

"Not Kakarot."

"Who are you? I've got training to do so if we could speed this up that would be great."

"Sassy aren't we Three Eyes?"

"Hmmph." Tien scoffed quickly in response.

"Have you seen or heard of anyone named Kakarot?"

"No. I have not." Tien lets out short, clearly pressed.

"Well alright, I guess I'll let you go then. Don't give me a reason to not."

Tien stink eyed Raditz who then stink eyed him back.

"Didn't your mama teach you not to stare!?" Raditz blurted aloud as he blasted away from the plateau.

Tien took a moment to compose himself. His eyebrows furrowed deep as he observed the strange man with ragged and sharp hair like Goku's flail away against the snow and wind. Tien breathes in deep before trying to continue his training.

"..."

Fwuuuuuuu~

"..."

"GAH!" Tien exclaimed, throwing his hands up. "Tch! That man threw me off! I can't continue like this!" He complained loudly under the raining snow. "Damn!"

Tien's thoughts were scrambled, and he couldn't seem to get back his concentration. The three eyed man paced around for a while, pondering.

"Didn't Goku used to have a tail?" Tien recalls the first time he ever fought Goku. "Yeah, yeah. He had a tail in the 22nd… What the fuh… Was he talking about Goku?" Tien, utterly perplexed at the mystery man asking the whereabouts of Kakarot.

"I don't have time for this." Tien returned to his stance, embolstered with stoicism. "Phhuuuuuuu…" Tien let out a long and charged breath.

The wind kicked up again, turning his icy cold figure red in its wake.

"..."

"Nope, tch, that's unfortunate."

Tien walked over to what looked like a workout bag on the other side of the plateau. It possessed a logo proclaiming:

Capsule Corp.

Tien filed through the blue bag and got out a capsule with red lining across the midsection. In the red line read:

Capsule Coffee - Always at the ready

Hot Chocolate

No Caffeine

60 Calories

Tien clicked down the node at the top of the capsule, making a small and dainty puff of smoke.

Bom!

In the aftermath of the click, the capsule had been transformed into a thermos. Tien slid the top lid open, causing the vapors of the beverage to rise out into the cold. He knocks it back like it's his job, spilling a fair amount of it onto his chest.

"Mweh." Tien smacked his lips without even knowing it. "Damn that hit."

The three eyed man let out another breath as he put away the thermos and slung the bag over his chest.

"I didn't get as much done as I wanted. I'll do better next time." Tien thought.

After checking that everything was in order Tien soared off from the mountains and back towards the village. The wind and snow pelting him right on his eyes uncomfortably.

"This sucks." Tien ruminated. "I'm glad I chose here." He thought immediately, wearing a cocky smile.

Tien prepared himself for a moment before blasting off. The three eyed man tore through the sky at lightning speed, his ki pushing away the snow and other elements. The village grew closer and closer until he came into view of the townsfolk. An older lady squinted her eyes and shook her head in amazement at Tien.

"I knew I wasn't crazy! I swear I saw that same man flying an hour ago, there he is!" She said loudly, smacking the older gent next to her with her bag.

"Well god dammit Linda I do declare you were right for once."

"Hah-hah. What?" Tien questioned as he touched down onto the pair of elderly.

"Charles!" Linda hit Charles with her bag again.

"You can fly, ain't that somethin'?"

"Oh yeah... Ha-Ha." Tien makes out sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

At that moment, Launch broke out a nearby house in a hurry. Her bushy blue hair waving and jiving as she ran.

"Tien! Jonathan has got a cold! Didn't you pack some cold medicine?" She yelled loudly and somehow soothingly as she grabbed Tien's hands and looked into his eyes deeply.

"Huh?" Tien barely flustered out. "Who's Jonathan?" He asked, cheeks flushed red as he holds Launch's soft hands.

"A nice little neighbor boy who's across from the cabin we're renting."

Launch pointed at a cabin with an inviting sign on the door that said: 'The Parker's'

"Jingle Village doesn't have any regular flu medication at the moment. This blizzard was poorly timed for them." The snow kicked up as Launch relayed the info.

"Yeah, yeah, I got some. Lead the way."

"Hurry up!" Launch quickly retorted back at Tien before pulling him along towards the cabin.

A smile crept across his face as he looked at Launch trekking through the snow. The blue haired woman glanced back at him before giggling and snapping back to the objective.

"Come on!" She sing-songed as they wade through the last bit.

They had to grind out one final push before the pair slammed the door from the inside.

Whomp!

Some snow snuck in slightly through the door, and a wave of cold permeated the house.

"Brrrrrrrrrrrr." Launch let out with glee, shaking her hair, causing lots of snow to fly everywhere. She looked to Tien with a smile. "Jonathan's room is over here."

The pair prance around the house to what would assumedly be Jonathan's room in the back. An older gentleman, also assumedly Jonathan's dad, was sitting at the foot of the child's bed. His face lit up with excitement as they entered the room.

"Is this your boyfriend?"

"Yeop." She replied cheerily.

Tien rifled through his bag and picked out another capsule, this time coloured gold the whole way round.

"Well I only got the stuff that sucks kid so… Good luck." Tien smirked out with sass as he popped the capsule, revealing the cough syrup.

"I meeeean. I get to play Mario Kart all day and not go to school so I think I'm chillin'." The kid shot back at Tien.

"Jonathan I-"

Tien cut off the dad midway.

"Look kid, can you do this?" Tien interjected adamantly, conjuring a potent golden ball of ki from his palm. It shined brightly in his hand before shooting up and popping.

"Whaaaa? How'd you do that?" Jonathan perked up in his seat instantly at the affair.

"I just might tell ya' if you drink your cough syrup. Only healthy boys can grow big and strong enough to do it."

Jonathan is compelled to finish the task given to him by the large man in his bedroom. Downing the recommended amount of:

Capsule Medicine - For when sickness is not so convenient

Orange Flavour

"Get some good grades and maybe your dad'll teach ya'. See ya later Johnny!" Tien shot out quickly as he palmed Launch's shoulder and pulled her out of the room.

"You're a god, Launch's boyfriend." Jonathan's dad thought to himself, clenching his fist at the prospect of little Johnny being reigned in by whatever Tien did.

The pair strolled out of the cabin and back out into the heavy storm of snow, the wind really pelting the 2 hard.

"Did it get worse!?" Tien pondered aloud. "Fuck it." The three eyed man exclaimed, sweeping Launch off her feet and flying them to their cabin across the way.

"So my man is this big, can do magic, and is good with kids?" Launch wondered, perplexed at just how good a catch she caught.

As they returned to home base Launch reeled her head back, her left wrist climbing high in anticipation before she sneezed a thundering sneeze.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh-CHHHEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!"

Upon the sneeze her soft blue hair turned blonde and she averted her gaze sharply to that of Tien's.

"Youse trainin's ova' right? So are we gonna… ?" She raised a suggestive brow.

Tien smiled.

Piccolo

The plains had changed little since he had started meditating that day. Only the sun had moved and the colours shifted slightly. Piccolo was still standing in the same spot, arms crossed and head parallel with the ground. His focus was broken again as an enormous ki signature entered his senses, his antennae hopping up a single time from the stimuli.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT!?"

Piccolo and Tien were the only ones in the soon to be known as Z Fighters who could sense ki at this point. Piccolo's rigorous meditation had led to him developing that and minor telepathy he could use to communicate with lesser beings like animals. Tien had gained it through strict meditation but wasn't skilled enough to use it passively like Piccolo could. Passive Ki Sensing is difficult for Non-Gods to consistently hold up during an engagement as it still takes to ki to activate and it is a finite source.

"Only two of them? And I'm supposed to give a shit about these randoms? Whis, you're whack."

"No, you're whack. I'm going to drink my boba and ignore your hateful comments."

"Ah-hem."

Piccolo's blood ran cold as he turned up his ki, entering a fighting stance. Raditz was still far away but Piccolo didn't intend on being caught lacking. Raditz entered the green man's view properly and Piccolo made out the image of a man with weird armour and a jagged mane of black hair that draped regally down to his calves.

"Come on now!" Raditz shouted from afar at Piccolo. "Why are we all so worked up?!"

Raditz touched down confidently in front of the green specimen that was clearly also not Kakarot.

"It's easy enough to figure out that they aren't Kakarot but they're definitely not speeding up the process for me." He thought aloud. "I have one question for you, Green Man."

Piccolo had never been called that before. It struck him as kind of racist.

"I am the Demon King, Piccolo! And I will NOT stand for this humiliation! You will address me as such if you are standing before the king!"

"Whooo- little man syndrome affects the best of us, Demon King Piccolo. I'm sorry you have to live your life like Prince Vegeta. That reality must be crushing."

Raditz' remarks bite deep like he had been training his whole life not in fighting but talking shit.

"What did you say!?"

"What I wished to say was where Kakarot's little ass was at but I had to humble the king beforehand. You gonna pull up or sit there like bitch, cause I can tell you're the type that is really irritated by people like me." Raditz' smile was killer and he raised a left hand to taunt and signal combat to his new green acquaintance.

Piccolo was stuck cold, his anger mounting into veins creasing and protruding out of his head. His fear at the unknown forced his feet to the ground like they had been welded there.

"Fighting Goku and those other mongrels was a walk in the park, but this..? What the hell is this guy!? He's otherworldly!" Piccolo made sure to keep a lid on those thoughts, he didn't want to stroke this guy's ego more than it already had been.

"What's it gonna be, King? I'm looking for a man named Kakarot, got any details?"

"I'm afraid I'm gonna have to pass on that one." Piccolo stood up tall from his stance and put his left palm atop his white turban, maintaining his mean mugging of the Saiyan the whole time. "If I did know I certainly wouldn't tell a smelly peasant who doesn't know how to wash his hair."

"HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH! GOOD ONE GREEN MAN! You just might have redeemed yourself!"

Raditz chuckled one last time before slapping his knee in hysterics, making fierce eye contact with Piccolo.

He respected this one much more than the last two. He had pushed back, Raditz liked that.

Smiling at the encounter, Raditz left Piccolo with one more comment.

"I've got to go but it was nice meeting you Demon King, I'd ask where the throne room is but it doesn't seem that you've got one. BITCH! HAH-HAH!"

"Now that was funny."

"Of course you'd like Raditz, you heathen."

"He's the only one worth watching, whenever he's on the orb be a dear and call me over I'm just gonna go and take a nap."

"Boo. They're all worth watching."

"Ah-hem."

Piccolo shoof his fist angrily as the mysterious entity vanished into the clouds.

"I just let that fucking happen, I'm pathetic. I cannot believe this."

Piccolo snarled and cursed at the sky as if it had wronged him and not the man he just met. The caped figure ceased to be as he took off the white cloth and started performing shadow boxing. The wind kicked up from his strikes, alerting the animals in the plains that the king was training and should be avoided.

Gohan

The air was tense as Goku and Krillin stared down on the sand of Roshi's abode. The old man stood in the middle of the two to signal the start of their spar. The son of Son Goku was looking at seashells next to a brown spotted turtle and Bulma, who was sitting on the sand with her arms draped over her knees.

"So how's your mom, kid?"

Gohan shrugged, searching hard for new shells. "Good."

"Hmm… that's good. Does she like that your dad is still fighting and stuff?"

Gohan shook his head no.

"Why's that?"

"Are you sure you should be asking personal questions like that, Bulma?" The slow-talking turtle interrupted.

"I mean, I don't think they're that personal, Turtle." Bulma tried to reassure herself.

"Mom says that Piccolo almost killed him because of fighting. I don't know who Piccolo is but he's no good apparently."

Bulma was kind of taken aback at Gohan's level of speech since he really hadn't said a whole lot.

"I'm just trying to look at my seashells, Bulma." Gohan stated matter-of-factly before turning around.

"Serves you right, Bulma. You shouldn't be prying into other people's lives when you got your own to worry about."

"Hmmmmmmmm…" Bulma let out a sigh, she wasn't going to let herself get mad at a turtle.

The wind shifted small grains of sand up in the air slowly for a brief moment across the two fighters. Goku was wearing the signature turtle hermit gi with the insignia on the front. The signature turtle hermit gi being an orange vest with orange parachute pants segmented by a blue belt. The young father took off his boots to maneuver better in the sand. Krillin had likewise taken off his shoes, button up, and blazer for the same purpose, showing his bare chest. Roshi was somewhat hesitant to be standing in front of his pupils as there was no telling just how much stronger they could have gotten. He didn't want to get caught in the crossfire.

Fwuuuuuuu~

The sand rolled across the beach as the two stared down.

"Go for it!" Roshi yelled as he dove out of the way and into the sand.

Krillin and Goku smiled at each other as they launched across the sand, their right elbows homing in on each other like magnets.

KOWW!

They each backstep after the clash to maintain distance. Goku gracefully dashes backwards while Krillin flips in a backhand spring and then full on double backflip.

"Okay Krillin, I see you!"

Krillin smirks and readies his stance again. The smaller bald man carefully eyes Goku for a moment until he realises Goku isn't even taking any breaths. The vision of his sparring partner dissipates into lines in an After-Image.

"Damn!" Krillin let out unintentionally, Goku already at his back with an upwards knee strike.

Krillin barely dodged in time with a cartwheel, shooting a ki blast with his right hand as he spun. Goku dodged with a precise, boxer-like head movement, using as little energy as possible. After the dodge Goku launched at Krillin with blinding speed, using ki to dash off his lead foot. Another strike and another miss as Krillin manages to limbo under Goku's right straight.

WhooooooooooooSHHHHH!

As he dipped under the punch, Krillin maintained the momentum and caught himself with a handstand, to which he used the ground to perform an upwards drop kick at Goku's chest. It lands, knocking his sparring partner back.

WHOKK! Kofff!

Goku noded with gusto and a cheerful grin as he got back on his feet and dusted the sand off.

"I see you've been working out a little, Krillin. Let's go!" The young father bounced up and down excitedly, a bright and unmistakable smile carving across his face. "Huh-Hah!"

"I'm not just gonna hand over our rivalry to you for free, Goku."

"I wouldn't want you to."

They stanced up again. Goku blitzed Krillin even faster than last time. Krillin saw Goku's fist at the last second and dodged accordingly. There is no punch, Goku had stopped midway.

"Huh?" Krillin wondered quickly.

Goku had gone past Krillin, whiffing intentionally. At his back, Goku throws a thrust kick with his right leg, kind of more of a leap-frog esc maneuver as opposed to a strike, shoving Krillin into the beach. The young bald man waved his arms as he stumbled forward from the odd attack. Krillin looked behind himself back at Goku only to see him performing a majestic swan dive backwards onto his position. During the dive Goku positioned himself and performed a kick-the-moon at his sparring partner. Krillin blocked with his left forearm. There is no kick.

"What? Another After-Image?"

Fsht! Wst!

Krillin is waylaid by a lunging, low driveby at his back. Goku's fist scraping off before rebounding in a hammer fist at Krillin's head. Krillin dodges it and counter attacks with his own kick-the-moon at Goku's face. It lands clean.

WHOMP!

Krillin backhandsprings after contact to establish the range again. Goku crashed into the sand before rubbing his left cheek, astonished.

"Damn Krillin. You're like, way better than last time." He relayed while checking his face for damage. "I'm getting really excited."

Krillin readied his stance again before his focus was pulled away from the fight and towards a flying object in the sky.

"Yo, Roshi!"

"Mmm?"

"You expecting any other guests?" Krillin questioned, dropping his guard and pointing at the object of interest with the back of his left thumb.

Goku dropped his guard in response as well, turning back to look at what Krillin was.

"No, I don't believe so." Roshi stated with some mysticism.

The Saiyan flew into view of Roshi's Island, somewhat annoyed, his large mane of hair flailing wildly.

"Damn it Kakarot, you're really the 200? You let two people on this planet be stronger than you? You're my baby brother but even my patience has its limits." Raditz thought to himself with a heavy sigh and shaking of the head.

Raditz composed himself with a couple more breaths before touching down.

"No doubts about it, this is Kakarot." Raditz decided confidently, Goku's hair being the exact same as Turles and his father, Bardock.

"Duh..?" Goku let out goofily as he blinked at the stranger.

"Hello brother, it's good to see you!" He shouted with gusto. "What's up with the planet not being dominated? Your pod wasn't defective was it? I made sure to send you messages once a year!"

Goku was completely lost.

"Huh?"

Gohan was intrigued, much more so than the others. Who was this guy? He acted like he knew his father and yet his father had no idea.

Gohan squinted his eyes and examined the mysterious figure carefully from behind Turtle.

"Kakarot, come on now…" Raditz' face showed a serious and unfakeable concern.

"I don't know who Kakarot is but he ain't me." Goku stated matter-of-factly, scratching the back of his head. "You got the wrong guy, buddy." He reiterated, patting Raditz on the shoulder.

"But eh- Kakarot, you share our father's genetics so strongly. Your hair is proof of that. Where's your tail?"

That struck a cord sharply, and from out of nowhere. Goku hadn't even realised Raditz had a tail, only just now noticing it barely protrude from behind the mystery man's mountain of hair.

Krillin, Bulma, and Roshi are blown away immediately at Raditz' question.

"I knew he wasn't normal!" Bulma wailed out in a screech, hands on the back of her head, walking around in hysteric circles.

Both Gohan and Goku are not really bothered by it. They both just assumed everyone had a tail and that getting it removed was a common practice.

"I got mine cut a long time ago, doesn't everyone cut theirs off? Why's it so strange that I don't have mine?"

Raditz was getting heated.

"Brother! Earthlings don't have tails! That's why our father sent you here! You have a natural advantage over these weak creatures!"

Roshi was stunned most of all, he had seen Goku's strength time and time again, performing the Kamehameha before he even knew what ki even was. It didn't seem normal but he paid it no mind at the time, just assuming Goku was a natural and not the otherworldly being he actually ended up being.

"Goku, I-"

"There's no need, Master, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave sir. You're being rude and you weren't invited." Krillin cut off Roshi at the jump and stood up to the large man, pointing a declarative finger at him.

"I'm not talking to you, Little Man." Raditz angrily grunted at Krillin, his figure dwarfing the small bald man.

Raditz stared down Krillin, but the turtle school pupil was unafraid.

"If you want to resort to violence, unfortunately we're pretty good at it."

Raditz scoffed, mystified.

"No! You're not! Your battle power clocks in at 170 on good day cue ball, Kakarot only messes around with you because he has nothing better to do!"

"Hey! Take that back!" Goku retorted with some anger in his voice. "You don't know me! Krillin's my best friend! If you-"

"Goku, please listen to me!" Roshi interrupted with a yelp. The island turned their focus to the old master. "Gohan told me, Goku, that when you were little… you were the feistiest tyke around. Always fighting back, trying to hurt him, and destroy things. But that all changed when you hit your head. Gohan thought he had lost you. You fell down a long ravine but you were so tough that you stuck the landing… After that day, you became a sweet boy, Goku. He had always called you that, but apparently you got especially angry when he called you that before you changed."

"Uh.. I-" Goku barely got out.

"I know because your grandfather told me that you had a strange device on your eye like that when he found you. It was green like his and fit on your right eye. He gave it to me for safekeeping." Roshi fished the scouter from his pocket. "I was going to give this to you as a present, for surpassing me."

The scouter was unmistakable, clearly the same kind of apparatus the aggressive man was wearing.

"YOU SEE!?" Raditz blurted aloud, drawing everyone's view.

Goku's world view was shattered. He needed a moment to process.

"His name's Goku, and he's not like you. You're gonna need to calm down if you want to keep talking." Krillin lashes back with some heat in his voice.

"We already have the proof, Little Man! What more do you need!? If you interrupt me one more time I-"

"Look, what do you want!?" Goku exclaimed, breaking up the small tension between his friend and possible brother.

"Brother, I just want you to come live with me…" Raditz stated calmly, letting out a harsh breath to steady himself. "I've been waiting so long to talk to you."

"Why?"

"I want someone to conquer the stars with, gain strength, vigour. Dominate the galaxy with our might, killing those who get in the way of our goals. Lord Frieza has great ambition for us Saiyans, brother. If you come with me we can live in luxury, and combat."

Goku is warmed up to it a little but definitely doesn't want to subscribe to killing people.

"What about family? Friends?"

"I can make that happen." Raditz replied with real conviction, anything so long as it worked.

"No deal, I don't kill people just because I don't like them."

Raditz was absolutely crushed. 22 years of his life waiting for someone who didn't care about him. He wasn't thinking clearly.

"Brother…" He let out in a snarl, balling his fists as tight as could be.

"Now's time to leave."

"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT INTERRUPTING ME!?"

Raditz slammed his fist into Krillin's stomach with the will of gods behind it, sending him crashing into the stairway, completely caving it in.

DOM! KRASHH!

"Krillin!" Goku screamed. "What's wrong with you!?"

Raditz' face was a warped expression for a moment. It straddled the line between anger, regret, and sorrow. It settled on anger.

Raditz recalls the words from his older brother.

This was after the raid on Planet Mayonnai. Raditz and his unit were taking the same spaceship as Turles' squad. Turles was the type to make empty promises and lies. When he was old enough he started not respecting his older brother as much. He was powerful though. Turles had inherited Bardock's better genes, his battle power was top of the line for a Saiyan at 10,450. Turles was near his father's potential at 7,150.

"Good shit, Raditz. I didn't know you had it in you." Turles said sarcastically, slapping Raditz' arm with his tail.

"Hmm." Raditz let out of his nose while keeping a firm grip of crossed arms. "I try."

"Well you've got to keep trying brother or you'll end up like the trash. My battle power was twice yours at that age. I don't consider you my brother right now, you'll have to show me you can do better than that next time. Father is very disappointed in you."

Ouch.

That one had always stuck with Raditz. He remembered it so strongly, especially in this tense, high emotions scenario. Raditz had tears well up in his eyes, he wiped them quickly with his tail.

"You're coming with me Kakarot, I don't care what I have to do! I can tell that little one's yours!" Raditz yelled as he pointed at Gohan's tail.

"No don-"

Raditz plunged his fist deep into Goku's stomach.

"I'm sorry…" Raditz felt with melancholy.

Gohan's eyes widened as he realised the danger. His father's 'brother' barreled towards as Bulma snatched him up.

"You're not gonna hit a woman are you!?" She yelled confrontationally, making steely eye contact.

"I've killed them for less, bitch! GIMME THE KID!"

Bulma didn't let go, but her hand was forced after Raditz slapped her with his tail. Gohan dropped into his arms, kicking and screaming. Raditz quickly shifted his grasp on Gohan to that of his tail which totally rendered him limp.

"Mmmmm-phhhuuuuu." Raditz let out a long sigh. He looked tired.

"What you're doing is wrong." Roshi fired at Raditz.

It felt wrong, for the first time in Raditz' life it felt incorrect performing an action.

"Shut it old man, I'm playing nice right now. I have no problems sending you to the late grave you should already be in!"

Roshi broke out into a sweat at Raditz' taunt and sheepishly stepped aside, his brown staff shaking in the sand.

"Smart choice."

The son of Son Goku stared at Roshi with a look of horror on his face as he and his kidnapper sailed off into the unknown, Gohan's body resisting him thanks to the large man holding his tail in a vice grip.

"I'm sorry I have to do this boy, but it's for our own good. You'll see when we get back to Planet Vegeta. This memory will be a thing of the past, and we'll grow stronger for it."

Gohan, totally shocked, was unable to comprehend what happened to its full extent.

"I want my mom, dad…" Gohan thought with tears in his eyes.

Raditz positioned Gohan in front of him, holding him like an object and staring into his eyes.

"Wipe your eyes, boy, Saiyans don't cry!"

Gohan did what the man said in fear of his power.

"Sorry." He barely whimpered out as he wiped the tears on his sleeves.

"What's your name, boy, speak!"

The immense pressure of the situation made it difficult for the little boy to even open his mouth.

"G-G-G-Gohan."

"Well Gohan, sit tight. We're going to wait for a while next to my space pod until your father, Kakarot, comes to his senses."

Gohan was terrified, having no clues as to what the strange man might do to him. After a long while the pair pulled into view of Raditz' space pod.

"There's my ship, boy. The newest model provided by Lord Frieza. He's the same guy who made our scouters."

Gohan had warmed up to Raditz a little, but only because he hadn't hit him and wouldn't stop talking out loud during their flight. Raditz waltzed over to the crash site, plopping Gohan on the ground. Glenn was there with his dog checking out his ship.

"Heyyyy…" He scratched his head trying with genuine effort to remember the farmer's name. "Glenn! Nice to see you. Incredible craftsmanship don't you agree?"

"W-Well I guess…" He made out sheepishly. "I wouldn't know the first thing about it. It looks like one of them capsule doo-hickeys."

"Capsule?"

"Yea'. There's this big company in the city that makes cars that fly. Can you believe that?"

"Interesting. It seems you humans aren't in the stone age then."

"Do what now?"

"Don't worry your head over it, Glenn." The Saiyan responded, putting his hand on Glenn's shoulder.

Gohan completely lost, his kidnapper was just having a conversation as if the biggest event in his life wasn't occurring right this second.

"Raditz, why are you doing this?"

"Your father won't listen to reason, kid, so I had to give him an ultimatum. Don't worry, I assume he loves you so it won't be too long now."

Glenn's lips instinctively made a silly duck face.

"What?"

"This is my nephew, I'm just babysitting until his father Kakarot gets here."

Gohan had tears in his eyes, clearly distressed, Glenn ruminated at that fact.

"I gotta call the police."

The doughy farmer with blue overalls sprinted off back to his house.

"Where you going, Glenn!? I was just about to tell you just how much I paid for this thing! Well that was rude wasn't it Gohan?"

"I want my dad!"

"He's gonna show up, I didn't take you just to have Kakarot not show. Patience is a key element of strategy, young Gohan."

Gohan was simply not like a Saiyan at all. He didn't have the temperament or desire to fight. Unlike what Raditz assumed Gohan would never become a fighter to sate his will to defeat an opponent. Gohan's little brother would inherit enough of the Saiyan heritage for the both of them, but that wasn't going to be for a long time.

Tien

The cabin was scented with some nice cherry candles Launch had bought before the trip. Launch drained a long sip of hot cocoa before winding around the house towards the couch. Tien was there, chilling, deep in thought before she pecked him on his closed 3rd eye.

"You're a freak for that, I just want you to know."

"I just think that if I makes sua' to take care of all 3 of your eyes ya' then you gots nowhere else to look."

"Charming."

"I can tell youse bustin' a nut thinkin', Sweetheart, what it do?"

"Huuuu-Haaaahhhh." Tien's sigh could have shaken the world. "I met a weird man today and he reminded me of Goku in some ways but not so much in most."

"Whaddya mean?"

"He seemed off, I think my third eye saw something I didn't cause I'm really worried for some reason."

"Well usually youse hunches is spot on so. ...Maybe uhh, you should go check it out."

"Well I've kind of got this really cute girl staring at me and it's making me want to stay on the couch. I think she's bad for my motivation."

"Get off ya' ass!" Launch smiled as she flicked him, he laughed.

"Yeah… I should probably check it out." Tien replied as he stood up from the couch, stretching it out and rotating his sculpted shoulders.

"Well you be fahkin' careful. I don't want my man comin' back home cut into ribbons." Launch requested as she took his outfit from the couch and draped the blue and white robes over him.

"We'll see."

Launch shot him with the meanest resting bitch face of all time.

"I won't." Tien confidently stated, rolling his eyes as they hugged it out.

Tien wasn't going to die fighting Raditz, that would come later.

Turles

The hallway was spotless, clean and unknown. There was an air of unease to the chrome building. Every room was the same, nothing in the way of decoration. There was only what was provided in each room as its function, nothing more.

Turles hated being here.

The large man in the muted blue Saiyan uniform walked with heavy strides through the seemingly endless hallway. The outside facing wall was made of glass, making it easy to figure one's surroundings, and also making it impossible to hide. There was a random soldier in the hallway ahead of him, talking loudly on his scouter. His head was of a strange shape, he had whiskers and his skin was purple.

"Yeah, I'm on Cold Estate No.2 right now, gotta talk to Frieza about my time off. This shit always takes forever no matter how hard I work. I'll see you soon."

The man was also wearing the Saiyan armour with the yellow and black design. Turles let out a loose breath he was holding unintentionally.

It wasn't exactly Saiyan armour that Cui was wearing. It was the Cold Estate uniform worn by all employees in some way or another. It resembled traditional Saiyan battle wear vaguely but that came far before Turles' time. When Emperor Cold had conquered the Saiyans in 663 he had become enamored with the rustic designs the savages had come up with and looked to improve the fit, modernising it. Emperor Cold and his scientists made the armour more durable, more flexible and also lighter, improving every parameter of the armour with his team. Emperor Cold grew so fond of it he wore it himself despite his youngest son's Frieza's detest and eldest Cooler's indifference.

A large man with a white bandana and forest green cold estate armour rounded the corner, passing Cui with a head nod. Cui smirked and nodded in tandem.

"Workin' hard, Bardock?"

"Heh. Hardly workin'."

"Ain't that right, we take bathroom breaks on company time."

"Amen brother."

Turles' head snapped at his father's voice down the hall. His strides picked up in speed and he quickly meandered down the hallway meeting up with him.

"Father?"

"Turles, I wanted to speak with you."

Turles crossed his arms, and tilted his head to the side sternly.

"I've got a mission statement that I received from Lord Frieza. It doesn't have my name on it, or a seal for my squad, it's just a job given to my crew. I have some business to attend to on Planet Vampa. Frieza thinks he can make that shithole worth selling and aims to pay a lot of people a lot of money if they can bring any details on it. If there's anything to kill on that planet I'm gonna haul its ass back here and collect my coin."

Turles let out a bored sigh.

"Don't worry Turles, you're going there for a standard cleanup."

"I'd better fucking be, I'd rue the day that you give me overtime for that smug son of a bitch we call Lord and I didn't get to kill someone."

"That's my boy." Bardock declared, patting Turles on the shoulder and marching on down the hallway.

Turles opened the letter and scanned the details:

Hello Bardock, This mission is for the standard clearing procedure of Planet Arcose

Well Wishes, Lord Frieza

"Typical." Turles let out a tad frustrated, his lips curling inward and cheeks blowing in volume slightly.

Little did Turles know that what he was going to discover on Planet Acrose was going to change his life forever. He was going to make many allies, gain great power, and take back his life. This single event was huge, altering the course of history forever, not just his own.

Piccolo

The plains swayed and breezed in accordance with the wind. Piccolo was meditating again, deep in thought. His legs and arms crossed as he floated in the air.

"I am the king, no one should have the right to speak to me like that. I've had enough of this moping around, I'm going to kick that arrogant mongrel's ass and show him how you treat royalty!" Piccolo's mind bleeded around outside of him and into the critters inhabiting the area, scaring them off.

Piccolo stood up proudly, and the wind kicked up as if in favour of his ambition.

"My goal is to fight Goku, but my pride needs to be restored before I can ever face that goofy bastard again."

Piccolo stared at his left longingly, the large energy was that direction and a familiar aura was there as well.

"Goku? No, it feels almost exactly like his but way smaller. That can't be him."

He cracked his neck on both sides and flexed his back muscles in a winding motion with his arms. Piccolo sucked in a steady breath and blasted away at the antagoniser's position.

"King Piccolo will never be ridiculed like that ever again!" He screamed as he careened through the air.

Piccolo would get the chance to redeem himself but only by working with others would he be able to accomplish his goal of remedying his pride, sacrificing other parts of his pride in its stead.

"Whis I'm going to get a drink, do you want anything?"

"Oh thank you for asking, I just ran out of boba!"

"I was kidding, get your own damn boba."

"My days, you'd think you'd know better than to fuck with me Lord Beerus."

"You can talk all the shit you want Whis, but at the end of the day you call ME Lord. So sugma."

"How uncouth."

"Ah-hem."

Goku

Goku woke up in a sweat or was it water?

"Bulma?"

"Oh my god! Took you long enough, Alien Man! Your brother stole your kid like an hour ago!"

"Bulma you're- You're goin' a little too fast." Goku barely got out, his dizziness slurring his speech and concentration like a smoothie.

Bulma injected the dragon radar into his hand with some force.

"Gohan still had the 4 star on his hat when he took em'. You know what to do."

He did.

It was as if somehow the dragon radar was like a medicine. The nostalgia poured over Goku as he held the device. It felt right having it in his hand. Goku nodded.

"You're right, Bulma. NIMBUS! I'VE GOTTA SAVE MY SON!" Goku yelled with such volume, Bulma had never heard him so loud before.

The Nimbus almost crashed into Roshi's house, pulling up next to Goku like it was its job.

"What about Krillin?" Roshi questioned.

Goku went to examine Krillin's limp and barely breathing body. The wound where Raditz had struck was flushed red while Goku's injury not so much.

"I don't think he hit me as hard as he did Krillin. I'll leave him be, he needs his rest." He proclaimed with assuredness.

"Why don't you ask Yamcha to help you, I know he has a game today." Bulma pleaded.

"I can't just bother everyone with my problems, Bulma, this is my fight. It wouldn't be fair to ask him for help."

"Goku…" Bulma whimpered.

"It's ok. I got this." He flashed with inspiration, giving a thumbs up to the group.

Goku clamored onto the Nimbus and stared at the radar intently, clicking the node at the top and refreshing the signal.

"Just like old times, eyy buddy?" Goku posited to The Nimbus with remembrance, crouching low and slapping the orange cloudy marshmallow-like side. "Let's go!"

Goku and his cloud friend The Nimbus sailed away back into the aether in search of the 4 star dragonball.

Goku was about to fight for his life against the strongest enemy he had ever faced but it would not be the strongest for long. He had an epic journey ahead of him and many years of practice to hone his skills and strength. Goku didn't know it yet but that magic he felt journeying for the dragon balls the very first time was going to come back to him soon. Planet Namek's history in the making and the dragon balls awaited him and 2 of his best friends.

Tien

The snow was raining down like arrows harshly as Tien looked at the dim sky. His nose already red from the cold. His third eye opened with flair and he recalled the man's face exactly.

"If Kakarot is Goku that means I do know who he's looking for. What other kind of people have tails? If it's not Goku I'd be surprised."

Tien focused his ki, trying his hardest and with strict concentration to search for a signature of energy.

"Hmmm…" He pondered. "There's a few. A large one out to the far left and and then one about half that size to the right of it… I'll check the left one and sweep inwards for him, he did seem to be wearing armour so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt of his strength."

Tien straightened up, his blue robes and white cape blowing with fervor in the wind. He looked up solemnly and thrusted forward with immense speed, taking off in a flash towards the large signature far away. His worry increased as he crept closer to the energy, he had a better grasp of its magnitude as he neared its range.

"Just what is this energy!? It hasn't got any bigger but I guess I didn't realise the scope earlier. What if I have to fight this!?" Tien's eyes widened at the possibility. "I haven't been lax in my training once but I definitely haven't prepared for this."

Doubt and unease jittered around Tien's body as he entered the farmlands. He passed by a dog, man, blue truck, and yellow house on the way. The man looked up in awe.

"They really can fly huh Remi."

"Whuf."

Raditz' scouter beeped and booped in response to someone arriving near the space pod.

De-del-eet!

"What's this? 400? Interesting, who could that possibly be?" Raditz said with whimsy at Gohan, the little bot was in a sulk and didn't care. "Hmm." Raditz side-eyed Gohan as the battle power showed up.

"Three Eyes! So nice of you to show up!"

"Hmph." Tien responded with a solitary and aggressive tone.

Tien touched down with grace and cracked his knuckles while staring directly at the large armoured man. Raditz knew what was up.

"Interesting. You wish to fight me?" Raditz asked coyly, his fists clenching in excitement.

"If I have to, but I'm just here to ask questions. Does Kakarot go by the name Goku?"

"Why yes I believe he does. I'm waiting for him right now if you want to take a seat."

Tien nodded, contemplating. His third eye gazed around as he looked at the ground in thought. It noticed Gohan immediately.

"It doesn't look like you're very good with kids, that boy's been crying." Tien pressured, lifting his gaze to the man's eyes and staring with all 3.

"Well I'm kind of babysitting until further notice."

"I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume it's not babysitting." The three eyed man forced his will onto Raditz very blatantly, tearing off his white cape and blue tunic in a flourish. "He's got a tail like Goku so that means I've got to do my duty as his friend and beat the dog shit out of you."

"INTERESTING!" Raditz screeched, flaring his ki in response.

"Fuck…" Tien almost let out, totally in awe of the man's strength.

As the two combatants stared down another energy entered the farmlands.

"It seems that energy from the north went to him as well." Piccolo wondered "That energy is the volleyball fist guy!" The thought surged through his mind, remembering the battle at the 23rd Budokai.

De-lelelelelel-doo-doo!

"Another one?" Raditz' brow furrowed at the realisation, looking to his left at what the scouter had calculated.

"That's really how it's gonna be huh? I have to fight Goku's son's kidnapper and Piccolo same day? Heh." Tien let out in a nervous laugh and sigh, shaking his head as a solitary bead of sweat swam down.

Piccolo scanned the battle from above.

"Yup, the three eyed man is here. Is he in league with that punk?" Piccolo kept to himself as he landed, his cape wavering gracefully.

"So nice of you to join us, Green Man. We were just about to get started."

Piccolo stayed quiet, aiming down at Raditz.

"Oh, my bad, Demon King Piccolo." Raditz shitted out with a grin.

"He knows Piccolo?" Tien worriedly wondered, his teeth grinding.

"I didn't come here to talk, it'll only make it more humiliating for you." Piccolo responded to Raditz.

Tien shifted his stance and meandered his way around, making the battleground a more fair three for all formation where he could perceive his opponents more easily. He raised his stance and took a deep breath. Raditz also took a stance, the earth beneath him shook slightly and cracked in tandem. Tien closed all his eyes to shut out interference and refocus. Upon opening them he realised there was another energy signal only harder to detect because it wasn't using ki to travel.

Piccolo smirked at the prospect as Goku flew into the farmlands on The Nimbus. Raditz scouter beeped again.

Dele-doooot!

"Kakarot! So glad you could make it!"

Goku leaped off The Nimbus with great force and flared out the power pole from its sheath in a whirlwind. He touched down right next to Tien.

"Goku!" Tien cheerily clamored out, just a small amount of relief lifting from him.

"How's it going, Tien?"

"Could be better, I have to stare down this kidnapper and Piccolo. There have definitely been better times." Tien laughed it off slightly, really glad Goku was there.

"You're here to save my son? You're a good friend Tien." Goku imposed some kindness onto Tien, even though he wasn't necessarily incorrect.

"Watch out for Piccolo, Goku. I don't know his motives." Tien tried to impart to the young father.

"Nah, It's ok. Piccolo's making the kind of face at my brother you only make if you're fighting them. Piccolo's on our side for this one, right buddy!?"

"Don't call me buddy."

Goku's ability to read the room was uncanny. He knew from the jump that he'd have 2 allies for this fight. "I'm back with the boba."

"Oh I knew you were a sweetheart."

"Shut up."

"Let me hit a sip. Sluuuur. Ahhh. Now where was I?"

"Ah-hem."
