Yo! Son Goku and friends! Saiyan Saga (Chapter 7)
Goku
The young Saiyan had different clothes on. His turtle style gi was nowhere to be found. Instead he wore a long sleeve sky blue top that had been rolled up to his shoulders, the inside of it was a clean white. Adorned at the top of his shirt was a black vest with gold trim that hung over his chest, shoulders, and back, it wasn't very long and had King Kai's symbol on the front. His parachute pants were also a clean white. He had silky gold wraps lining the top of his black kung fu shoes and a red belt to segment the torso and legs. His outfit mirrored King Kai's colours but not in the same order.
Goku was running wildly in a full sprint after a brown monkey. His strides were not slowed by anything, he maintained perfect form by shifting his shoulders, hips, core, and arms. The pair blitzed around the whole planet a single time. The monkey looked back at Goku with wide eyes and tried its hardest to outpace the man. Goku was gaining though and was even closer the next time the ape peered back. On the third rotation Goku caught the brown animal by the tree he had touched when he first arrived.
"Whew!" Goku let out with satisfaction. "MAN! You can really run, Bubbles."
"Oookeekee!" Bubbles replied cheerily.
"Good work, Son Goku." King Kai handed out with praise.
"It only took you three of your Earth weeks." A large cricket sassed out, hands on its hips.
"Play nice, Gregory." King Kai checked him.
"Yes Master, sorry." He bowed his head.
"So when's the Kaio-Ken again? It's after Gregory right?" The man stood up, fatigued slightly.
King Kai nodded adamantly, Goku met his master's nod with his own.
"Well I'm ready now if Gregory is."
"You're not ready, Son Goku." Gregory proclaimed with some bite.
"Wanna bet on that!?" Goku questioned with a grin.
The two met face to face and stared each other down.
"Just give us the word, King Kai!" Goku asked with confidence.
"Okay." King Kai smirked at his new student's enthusiasm. "On your mark…"
Goku and Greogry's eyes sharpened in their focus.
"Get set…"
Goku and Gregory took up a starting pose, giving one final look at each other.
"GO!"
Gregory beamed off in a hurry, Goku having a hard time seeing such speed. He ran after him but it was futile, Goku made no ground at all. It was the beginning all over again, Gregory could just outpace him easily.
Goku closed his eyes, thought to himself, and breathed out deep.
"Phuuuuu…"
Upon opening his eyes Goku sent out an After-Image and ducked behind the tree. The After-Image stood there, seeming to scan the environment for his target. King Kai marveled at the technique.
"Wow… You've had that in your pocket the whole time?" King Kai telepathically threw at his student.
"Yup! I just didn't want to use it against Bubbles because I needed to get used to the gravity, I'm not sure I can catch Gregory if I chase him head on."
Just in time Gregory rounded the planet with a smirk looking at the back of his opponent.
"Looking for me?" Gregory questioned smarmily.
The After-Image grasped at Gregory with a turning motion, his left hind swiping in a long arc as it twirled, forcing Gregory to exit backward near the tree.
"Missed me!" He stated proudly.
At his opportunity Goku leaped and slammed his hands down on Gregory, cupping him.
"Hey!" Gregory buzzed out, light steaming from Goku's clasped hands.
Zzzt!
Goku let the small bug go with a hearty laugh.
"That's not fair! I didn't know you could do that!"
Goku couldn't help but giggle at the small bug. Gregory let out a grunt and stormed off back into the house.
"Oh man! I don't think he liked that! Hee-hee-haugh-haugh!"
"Wow, I didn't think you'd just catch Gregory no problem since it took you a while for Bubbles."
King Kai looked to the monkey who had returned to playing around on the grass.
"Well I intend to keep my promise, so we're going to start your training on the Kaio-Ken after dinner."
"Awesome! I'm starving!" Goku patted the master on the back as they filed into his humble abode.
Goku had eaten a lot, King Kai remarked so.
"Do all of you Saiyans eat like this?" He questioned with a raised brow.
"Oh yeah!" He exclaimed between chews. "I meant to ask ya'. Gulp! Ahh!" He swallowed loudly.
"Do you know anything about the Saiyans? You can use your telepathy over a long distance, right?"
King Kai nodded.
"What are they like? Besides the tails and stuff. Nom!" He chomped down with vigour.
"I forget you know so little about them. Now let's see… The Saiyans are a proud people. They prefer to fight one on one battles mostly. They believe that duels to the death are some of the highest honour one could have as a Saiyan. They transform into monkeys under the light of a full moon."
Goku's eyes widened as he was gobbling down food, listening very intently.
"Mhmm?" He prodded at the master to keep going through his full cheeks.
"Right now they are under the-" King Kai struggled to get it out. He took a moment to compose himself.
"Nom!" The now kai student chewed his food happily.
"If I tell him about Frieza he's gonna do something about it… Damn, what do I do?" King Kai was taken aback, distraught.
"Gulp! King Kai?" Goku questioned.
"Nothing."
"If you say so…" Goku kept to himself and didn't want to push any buttons.
"They are under the rule of King Vegeta the 7th. The royal family's prince, Vegeta the 8th is next in line. He looks to be even more powerful than his father at his young age but is not as strong yet."
"Cool! So they go by kings and stuff?" Goku mused, slurping down a bowl of soup.
"Yes they are led in a patriarchal society, they wage wars and colonise planets."
Goku stood up and flexed his back, cracking his knuckles.
"What does colonise mean?" He asked as he stretched out his arms.
"Colonise the way the Saiyans mean it is usually to conquer and destroy, taking the remains for themselves."
A sharpness formed on Goku's brow.
"So it's true. I didn't think Raditz was lying to me, but it's hard to believe. The Saiyans are cruel people then?" Goku looked to his new master with sorrow, clenching his fists.
"It's in their biology to dominate, high levels of testosterone in Saiyan blood Goku. You have benefitted from these genetics and we're going to put you to work."
Goku nodded with assertiveness, his mind focused and his body tensed.
"First, I'm going to take you back. How did it feel when you did your first Kamehameha?"
Goku took a minute to think, placing an index finger on his chin as laid his right arm over his crossed left.
"It was about concentration. I wanted really badly to do what Roshi did to that fire. I just tried to make something from nothing."
"And now you can do it no problem."
"Yes."
"I want you to remember the sensation of the first time you gathered ki."
Goku nodded and fell into a trance almost as he raced through his mind, combing through the details. Flashes of inspiration and memory swam by and he recalled the sound of metal squealing as ki came into contact with it.
"I hit a car…" Goku recollected as he came to, opening his eyes.
"Good. Now follow my lead."
King Kai took a low pose, his knees bent out wide in a squat, his arms followed the line of his legs perfectly. His palms were facing upward and his fingers were tucked in tight.
"Now Goku, the first step to Kaio-Ken is mind-muscle connection, do you know what that is?"
"No, but is it what happens when you can feel your muscles as you flex?" Goku replied with heart.
"Exactly! Really feel out every muscle you can! And when you have em' all locked in, yell out loud! Scream like your life depended on it! Kaio-KEN!"
At that moment King Kai blasted off and met back up with Goku in a full rotation of the planet before he could blink.
"Wha- I've never seen something so fast, King Kai! I'm gonna be able to do that!?" He cheered like a kid.
King Kai flexed it out and put his hands behind his back.
"Mhmm. With enough practice you'll be able to go much faster than I."
"Alright!" Goku cried out with glee, clapping his hands together in excitement. "Let's do this! KAIOOOOOOOOOO-Ken!" Goku held the initial note for a long stretch as he assessed his muscles.
Goku tore through the air at speeds he had never blazed before, raising his battle power from 920 to 1300 easily. Red particles and his aura shined and sparkled, steam rose off his body and distorted the air around him. Goku was a prodigy at the Kaio-Ken, it took a while before Beerus got the hang of it.
"Hey, quit talking shit."
"Why do you care all of the sudden, Beerus? It's not like this guy even has the lifespan to reach refined."
"Whatever."
"You're such a diva sometimes you know that? Oh why am I wasting my time?"
"Ah-hem."
"That was…" Goku struggled to express himself, he just jumped excitedly. "Ya know?"
King Kai let out a small chuckle into his dark black sleeve.
"Yeah. I know."
"So is it really just that easy?"
"Not necessarily. You just have an excellent mind-muscle connection. People with a lot of skill just get brick-walled by that part of the technique alone. And the real problem with Kaio-Ken is the cost."
"Cost?" He fired back fast, with inquiry.
"The Kaio-Ken takes a lot of ki both to activate and maintain. And of course there's the downside which has nothing to do with the cost."
"There's a downside?" He asked through gritted teeth.
"Don't worry, it won't affect you in Other World. But I should warn you, be careful when you use this technique back on Earth."
"Why is that?"
"The unrefined Kaio-Ken deals direct damage to the body parts you target with the technique. When you get skilled enough you can channel Kaio-Ken only to your fists or your feet. But wherever you channel the unrefined version of Kaio-Ken to will become overworked and raw very quickly. It is not a technique you can use without thinking."
Goku stared intently, nodding while absorbing what his master had to say.
"It won't affect you while you're here, but I really want to make sure you understand the risks."
"I hear you." Goku replied.
"..."
There was a pause.
"Thanks for telling me."
"I'm impressed, Son Goku, it was in Other World too where you'd have a harder time feeling out your anatomy. What you did here was no easy feat."
Goku's thoughts were elsewhere.
"King Kai?"
"Yes."
"Is there any possible way I could get Raditz' body back so I could fight him?"
King Kai sighed a heavy, heavy sigh.
"Ehhh… Goku. Do you realise what you're asking?"
"Uh, yeah. I want to fight Raditz again."
"Well what happens if you lose and Raditz goes on a rampage since he'd have his body back."
Goku was taken aback for a moment, he cursed himself before he found the necessary thought.
"What about your last student, Pikkon? Didn't you say he went to go guard hell?"
"Well yes, but that was over 5000 years ago. He went to go train with the West Kai right after that and as far as I'm aware is now honing his technique with the Grand Kai."
"I thought you said time doesn't pass in Other World."
"Well it doesn't in the traditional sense, you don't age while you're here but we still need to use time to measure events and the like. It's still a concept to make sure we catalogue things that happen correctly."
Goku paused, reflecting.
"I won't lose, so what do I need to do to get him his body back for one fight?"
"You're asking the wrong guy, Goku."
"So King Yemma?"
King Kai nodded in response.
"Thanks again King Kai! I'll be back soon."
Goku leaped up into the air before plummeting back down onto the planet like an asteroid. He dusted himself off and took a deep inhale with his nose, assuming the position.
"Oof. Heh-hehh."
King Kai chuckled lightly once more.
"Agh-hem! KAIOOOOO-Ken!"
King Yemma
"Gokuu? What are you doing back here?" The enormous red ogre's voice boomed through the castle.
"I've got a question, King Yemma!"
The white clouds in line groaned as the man's pace slowed.
"Below. Above. What is it? Below."
"Is there any way I could fight Raditz just once in his normal body?"
"Ahahahahah! Did you really just ask me that, Goku? Above."
"Mhmm." Goku responded cheerfully.
"Well… Below. If someone eats the fruit from my tree they get their bodies back. Below."
"Great!"
"But!" King Yemma retorted, waggling his finger, his epic voice causing another light shockwave.
Goku paid close attention.
"Above. The fruit grants them their body permanently, it's how we rehabilitate those we deem worthy in hell. Below. If you gave the fruit to Raditz he'd have his body back no questions asked."
Goku's mind ran a bunch of calculations.
"Please let me use the fruit, King Yemma! I'll try really hard to make sure Raditz is rehabilitated!" Goku got down his knees, and looked up at the hulking red beast in a suit with intensity.
King Yemma stopped in his tracks completely, and stared right back at the little man before him. He let out a large puff of air through his nostrils.
"Why not!?" He let out heartily as he opened his desk drawer. King Yemma brandished a maroon and gold coloured envelope. He tossed it to Goku.
The envelope was large and had some weight on it, even with his training Goku stumbled as it landed in his arms.
THOMPP!
"Whuoah! ...Does this have the fruit in it!?" Goku yelled back, almost tumbling over.
King Yemma let out another full laugh from the chest, shaking the building ferociously.
"Aaack!" Goku let out involuntarily, the letter flew out of his hands to which he leaped into the air for, being careful so as not to drop or wrinkle it.
Goku landed in the Kaio-Ken squat as he caught the envelope.
"No, Goku. That's for my attendants: Goz and Mez, down in hell. They guard the fruit."
"Oh!"
"They're quite strong. I wanted to make sure to give you the letter so they gave you no trouble."
"Gotcha!" Goku had a chipper smile on his face.
"Don't make me regret my decision, Son Goku." King Yemma told him sternly.
"You won't." Goku looked back up at the king with a fire in his eyes.
Goku walked out of the room and back onto Snake Way. There was a moment of pause before he came rushing back inside.
"How do I get to hell?"
King Yemma placed a hand over his face.
"Just use that entrance in the back."
The massive ogre's thumb pointed to the large double doors behind him.
"Thanks, King Yemma!"
"Heheheh." The enormous red ogre let out in a booming chuckle.
Goku
With the newly acquired seal of approval Goku ran towards the back exit. He came upon another path that looked to be of similar design to Snake Way. The young Saiyan hoisted the letter on his shoulder and scurried down the walkway. It dipped down harshly at 90 degrees but for whatever reason Goku stayed upright as if some mystical force were acting upon him. The orange clouds bombarded his vision and he had to muscle through them to reach his destination. After a while of running past and hopping over actual white cloud attendees the orange mist cleared and he passed through.
The landscape was a dull grey. Misshapen rocks, and debris littered the area, it looked as if half the ground were shifted tectonic plates that hadn't settled yet. A few colourful bean-shaped objects dotted the crimson red sky above. Goku looked at where he just came from and saw no clouds.
"Huh." Escaped his breath, he didn't really notice.
"Who is this guy?"
"He just blow in from stupid town? I ain't neva' seen no one with their body before."
"Getta load a dis jackass! Mail? Who even gettin mail down here, Satan?"
Goku descended the path down onto the grey and cracked earth. He climbed a nearby rock to get a better look at his surroundings. It wasn't exactly what you could call a rock, more like a jagged tree monstrosity made of stone. He tucked the envelope into one of the crevices of the stone and peered out into the ominous land.
"What's this clown doin' he thinks he can just walk in here and take a sneak peek? Baloney I say!"
He saw thousands of white little clouds float around the jagged canyons and stepped cliffs. It only took him a second to notice the lush, green and gold tree. It's soothing colours stood out well against the harsh reds and purples hues that were native to the rest of the land. Goku popped the letter back onto his shoulder and hopped his way to the green destination. After a minute or so of hoofing it Goku came across two large ogres. One red and one blue.
"Holy shit." The red one exclaimed. "Goz, does this fool have a body?"
"I think he does, Mez. He fresh as a muh too." The blue one replied.
"We'll I'll be." Mez slicked back his hair and fiddled with his black rimmed glasses as he toited down the steps with swagger.
Goku's eyes widened and he just kind of stood there dumbstruck. Mez pushed his palm onto Goku's chest hard, the 'strike' was so quick Goku had no time to react. He wasn't pushed back very far at all but lost grip on the letter.
"Hey!" Goku yelped in response.
"Relax kid, just doin' demon shit." Goz commanded, sitting casually on the white steps.
"This ain't a forgery." Mez stated loudly, having already opened the envelope. "So you want to get Raditz his body back, right?" He asked with a bit of pompous air.
"Yes."
"Fair nuff." The red demon turned to the tree and in a flash was already back at Goku's feet.
Vshhhhhh!
"Here you go kid, knock yourself out." Mez tossed the golden fruit into Goku's hands, he caught it and handled the sparkling orb with grace.
"That was fast, I couldn't even see you. How strong are you guys?"
"Whaddoyou think Goz? I know Pikkon'd whoop our ass but we pretty aight."
"Yea." Goz replied in tandem. "Probably demon tier."
"There's tiers?" Goku asked with raised brows, enthused.
"Welp, I don't really wanna get into it right now but let's just say that demon tier is just a few steps below kai. Just like North Kai across Snake Way."
The Kais endeavored to measure battle power the same way Emperor Cold did with the scouters only they just used tiers and slotted in people based on their own interpretation of someone with Ki Sensing. Demon Tier is exactly 2 tiers behind Kai. Kai Tier being about 200,000 battle power while Demon Tier is widely regarded to be about 80,000. Goz and Mez are about as strong as Jiece and Burter on the Ginyu Force.
"Holy cow! You guys are strong!" Goku let out in disbelief.
"Heheh. Yea." Goz laughed deep.
"Well I gotta get goin', thanks for the fruit guys!"
"Get tha fuck outta hea!" Mez commanded with a smirk, his hand swooping upwards in a dramatic display.
Goku had left the envelope behind as he went, Mez picked it up and it burned to ash in his hand, a gold aura rolled off him.
The young Saiyan leaped across the red realm yelling his brother's name periodically. It took him quite a while until one of the white clouds responded in a shrieking yell.
"Raditz! Hellooo~"
"RIGHT HERE, KAKAROT!"
Goku turned his head to the noise and found another white cloud just standing near a large grey fountain of red liquid. He hopped down to it cheerily with the fruit in tow.
"Oh! Raditz! Good to see ya buddy." He let out with vigour, patting the white cloud.
"Wrong guy, brother."
"Oop."
"Freak."
The other white cloud floated off as the Raditz cloud filed into its previous position in front of the fountain.
"What do you want, brother, it's your fault I'm in this state."
"Yeah." Goku snickered. "My bad. Hee-hee."
"So?" He wiggled his cloud shape with sarcasm.
"I have a proposition for you."
"And?"
"I want to fight you right now."
"How are we going to do that when I'm a fucking cotton ball, brother?"
"This is King Yemma's fruit." Goku claimed boldly as he held it right in front of Raditz' cloudy apparition. "If you eat it you get your body back. I'm gonna let you eat this fruit if you agree to my terms."
Raditz was taken aback. His cloud particles stopped momentarily before resuming their rotations and shifts.
"Wow. Really? What are your terms?" He questioned with an uncharacteristic smallness.
"If I win the fight you come and train with me. We become the brothers we're supposed to be and we don't go out and destroy planets."
"And if I win?"
"Well, I don't think you can reverse the fruit's effects so you would just get to do whatever you want I guess."
"I'm in."
"Awesome!" Goku replied as he inserted the sparkling gold orb into the white clouds of Raditz, the fluffy outside parted for a moment then closed over the gap.
Gold streams of light poured out of the cloud in a dazzling display as Raditz appeared, standing up from a kneeled position. He flexed his fingers and looked at his muscles. He was wearing nothing except for his bicep band, thigh band and black Saiyan undergarments. His tail wavered and snapped to life.
Raditz looked to Kakarot with a furrowed brow, curious. He flexed his back and rotated his shoulders to get a better feel for his body.
"Kakarot?" He asked plainly.
"What?"
"Why can't I feel my body?"
"Oh! I think that's just something to do with Other World. I can barely feel anything myself. I can feel when I jump onto something or brush my hair but other than that I can't feel much either."
Raditz just looked about the hellscape, he pondered to himself as he gazed at his wiggling reflection in the red juice of the fountain. Kakarot stood beside him and made eye contact through the reverberating water. He smiled and Raditz rolled his eyes at the goofy act.
The large Saiyan stood tall and closed his eyes, cracking his knuckles loudly.
"There. I can feel it." He mused before taking a stance. It was different from the one he took on Earth.
As soon as he opened them there was an intensity to Raditz' eyes that weren't there before. Goku smiled at them. His eyes didn't look to be overcome by anger but it was hard for Goku to place exactly what it was. The younger brother ran his hand across the black kai vest and took the turtle hermit stance with a stomping flourish. Wind kicked up and the ground around the fountain shook. Raditz nodded his head at the display.
"Let's do it, brother." Kakarot put his left hand out for a fist bump.
Raditz deliberated but eventually met it with his own which caused his brother to squeal out in delight.
Goku VS Raditz
Objective: Make Raditz family!
Goku's face had the biggest smile on it, showing his pearly whites to the red hellscape as he positioned his right hand above his head. His knees were bent and jived his body back and forth in time with his shoulders. No tenseness at all, loosey goosey.
Raditz' stance was rigid. It looked like a pseudo-boxing stance, his fists closed and hanging right around chest height. His legs were deeply rooted in the ground however, high tension and very little looseness.
Goku dashed at his brother in a low ducking motion, he came up with a left uppercut that Raditz backstepped with ease. He followed through with a stepping side kick using his left leg, Raditz jammed his right shoulder into Kakarot's boot, snuffing the impact. Goku took the momentum with a tumbling roll and finessed back onto his feet quickly. Raditz gave no quarter, pursuing with a right knee. The north kai student clamped onto the ground in a pushup position to dodge the drive-by.
Raditz missed his target and turned around to deliver a ground and pound approach. Goku weaved effortlessly out of the way, dodging the barrage like it was nothing. Raditz' eyes widened at the speed of his brother. Goku scampered to his feet and took a runner's position before slamming his left elbow at his enemy's jaw in a flash.
"Grgh!" He grunted out involuntarily. "He was never this fast before!"
Goku launched a hailstorm of punches and kicks. Raditz was fast enough to block most of them but not enough to stall every strike. Goku swung his left fist wide in a hooking haymaker, causing Raditz to put up his guard. He then used the momentum of his left hand to spin instead, turning his back to his brother. Upon the fake out Goku performed an incredibly flexible gymnastic-like kick over his head at Raditz' face, making contact with his toes. Raditz stumbled and Goku took the advantage, turning back around to face him straight on.
He slammed his fist deep into the stomach but Raditz was not affected, the older brother grabbed the sides of Kakarot's head and headbutted him dead on.
KRAK!
"OW!" Goku yelped as he fell onto his butt, holding onto his head.
Raditz cocked his right leg like a gun before shooting it out in a front kick at his brother's face. Kakarot dodged it with style, limboing under the kick, planting his hands on the ground, tucking his legs in close, then launching them at the older brother. Raditz caught the dropkick-type maneuver and spun in a dramatic rotation then threw him at the fountain. Goku caught onto the dome of the blood red pond and leaped right back at his foe. He performed a scissor kick, the first leg was blocked but the second caught Raditz' temple, causing him to stumble.
Goku followed up with a swinging barrage of low hooks aimed downward and across. The first few landed before Raditz got his footing and parried the end of the string. The last one he blocked, he threw aside and slammed a right hook of his own as punishment, causing Kakarot to backpedal. The burly Saiyan followed through with a string of punches of his own with a war cry, sparking pink energy crackled off of his fists as he went.
"Dynamite Monday!"
The rush was hard to block and dodge, and even harder to see, it broke right through his little brother's guard. The strikes were strange and seemed to skip the buildup of each attack, only visible once Raditz was actually striking. It blew Kakarot sliding back, kicking up gray dust and dirt.
"You might want to dodge this one, brother!" He claimed boldly as he gathered energy in both of his palms.
"DOUBLE SUNDAY!" He screeched loudly as he put both his palms together, firing a massive wave of pink energy at Kakarot.
"KAIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-Ken!" Goku screamed in response as he flared out his chest to block the beam, red aura rolling off him intensely.
A puffy cloud of black smoke blew around the little brother in a loud and terrifying explosion. The vapors cleared quick in the wake of Goku's energy as he stood unmoved. Raditz' expression grew in mysticism as he saw his brother untouched by the blast.
"Brother…" He called out in a mixed state. "How did you get so strong?"
"Well." He laughed out a bit. "I've had a lot of great teachers."
"You'd let someone stand above you like that?"
"Why not? The way I see it, someone's always gonna be better than you so you might as well learn from the greats. If you spend all your time worrying that someone's better than you then it stops you from learning from their success, and then it stops you from having your own."
Raditz eyes widened like he had just unlocked something from deep within. He smiled the cocky smile he had back on Earth and stared daggers at his brother.
"It's decided! I'll join you regardless of the outcome! But don't expect me to go easy on you, Kakarot!" He took on his stance again with new invigoration.
"LET'S GO! I'd want nothing less!" Goku roared in excitement, he flexed his arms before taking the turtle hermit pose.
The two stared at each other with a toothy grin, their stances shifted and tensed as they looked for their moment. There was a pause before they launched at each other.
They clashed with blinding speed trading blows back and forth before Raditz got the upper hand. His larger stature and stronger attacks forced his little brother on the backpedal. Goku stopped attacking and started dodging instead. He slipped countless punches with just his immaculate head and shoulder movement. Raditz smirked wide and shouted loud:
"Why aren't you attacking!? Are you scared, Kakarot!?"
"I'm not scared, I'm just looking for the right moment." Goku responded with a shit-eating grin of his own.
"Better find it quick!"
"Don't worry!" Goku replied as he noticed a shift in his opponent's left shoulder. "I found it! KAIOO-Ken!"
Goku sparked the crimson aura and lifted his left leg in a burst, slamming it into Raditz' midsection before he could act, causing him to fly right into the red liquid of the fountain. He reeled in pain as he splashed about. His brother followed through however and landed a flying snap kick with his right before he plopped down in the pool in front of him.
SLUOSHH!
He continued the onslaught with a flurry of punches, dominating the larger man with quick strikes. Raditz put up a guard but the red aura of Kakarot seemed to facilitate stronger AND faster strikes, he simply couldn't keep up. Goku laid the smackdown on his brother, walking him all the way through the pond with his attacks.
"This is the brother I wanted." Raditz thought to himself. "Someone who could beat me and then acknowledge my efforts. Turles only ever doubted and ridiculed me." Raditz mused with a smile as his little brother beat the breaks off him.
The last downward strike Kakaro landed placed Raditz right on his ass and right out of the pool. Goku smiled genuine as he offered his right hand to stand his opponent up. Raditz smiled in kind and took his brother up on the offer.
"Thank you, Kakarot."
"For what?"
"Coming back for me."
"Always, I didn't know you at the time, but you came back for me. I couldn't leave you hanging." Goku said as he patted his brother on the back. "You really impressed me, Raditz, you got so strong all on your own."
"Pshh." Is all the older brother could say in response.
"Alright, let's get you to King Kai's. We're gonna get even stronger together, Raditz." Goku claimed as he slung his arm over him.
Raditz complied and slung his arm over Kakarot in tandem. They walked away from the fountain with red water dripping off their bodies, Goku's black kung fu shoes squeaking on the cracked ground.
