Wally had wanted to stay overnight, but the hospital didn't let him. A nurse had come by and informed him that the visiting hours were over, and since he wasn't my immediate family, he had to leave. He'd been sad but promised to be back tomorrow, which complicated my plans to escape.

My plan had been to get discharged by myself first thing in the morning and just go home, but now I'd have to wait for Wally, as to not make him worry.

I mentally went through every plan I could think of while Andy was doing some basic check-ups. I was getting better consistently and quite fast, which would get me discharged within a couple of days, but that wasn't good enough. I had to be out tomorrow if I wanted to avoid mom and dad storming the hospital.

Alas, morning came, and I was still without an actual plan. My safest bet was to tell Barry and Wally I got discharged by the hospital and just withhold the fact that it was against their recommendation.

I was going to wait until visiting hours were almost over, giving myself an extra day to heal. If Andy questioned my decision I'd tell him I didn't have any insurance and that we wouldn't be able to afford the bill if I stayed longer. It wasn't a perfect plan, but it was what I had.

Two minutes into the visiting hours the door opened and, as promised, Wally stepped inside. He was carrying a bag, and a tie belonging to a school uniform was lazily stuffed into his jack pocket.

"Did you skip school to come to see me?" I asked, holding back a smile.

"...Yeah" Wally ran a hand through his hair.

"Well, let's make sure you don't regret that decision" I grinned.

Wally took out his laptop and asked if I wanted to play anything. I wasn't much of a PC gamer, although I had considered building a gaming PC, so I just told him to play whatever and I'd just watch.

After making me promise I would tell him if I got bored, Wally decided on 'Among Us'. I'd personally never played it but I'd seen it around. A lot of big names had been streaming it together lately.

Wally's display name was "me", which was just uncreative.

"Change it to Dream," I said.

"Why?" Wally asked.

"Because it's Dream," I replied.

Wally changed it, but shook his head, not understanding why I wanted that name

He joined a lobby named 'CORPSE' in all caps, where the host was black with the goat horns. Wally was orange with a leaf. I made him change to lime.

CORPSE said hi in the chat. Wally responded. CORPSE then put a smiley, and Wally replied with a different smiley. They exchanged a few smileys until two more joined the lobby, making it ten.

I made Wally stay with CORPSE the entire game, even though I had sus on him. Turned out I was right. O2 went off and no one fixed it in time.

Three games later Wally was finally the impostor. He kept his streak of staying with CORPSE until I told him to vent in from of CORPSE.

"Robin, no! I can't do that! What if he calls a meeting?" Wally protested.

I did the work for him and quickly reached over and pressed 'e', promptly sending Wally into a vent right in front of CORPSE.

CORPSE just stared for a few seconds, backing away a bit, but noticed Wally wasn't trying to kill him and came closer again.

We'd done it. We'd made a friend we could trust with our imposter role.

It was an easy win after that. CORPSE completely threw and vouched for Wally. In the end, Wally couldn't bring himself to kill CORPSE. Instead, he sabotaged the reactor and the two of them and they just stood there, while the last person tried in vain to fix the reactor. It was quite poetic if you think about it.

Wally and CORPSE ended up exchanging Twitter @'s, which Wally promised to give me later.

We were then interrupted by a lady with a food trolley. She placed a tray of food on the small table next to my bed and left.

I wasn't that hungry, but Wally forced me to eat anyway. It tasted bland and mushy, but I suppose it did the job. What little hunger I had had was gone.

A while later Andy entered to check on me, and Wally excused himself to the bathroom to give me privacy.

"It seems your healing fine. We should be able to let you out tomorrow" Andy confirmed.

"What about today?" I asked.

"May I ask why?" Andy questioned.

"I'd really like to avoid racking up the bill more than necessary, and besides, I'm feeling fine" I explained.

It technically wasn't a lie. I was, in fact, feeling fine. Not fine enough to fight or anything, but definitely fine enough to go home.

"I-i mean, we can't really stop you. We can only strongly advise you to stay"

"Then I want to leave today" I was adamant. I knew that if I don't get me today, something really bad could happen.

"Alright" Andy sighed, " I'll get the paperwork for you"

He went to leave when he remembered something.

"Oh, your friend Jason woke up. He asked about you and fell asleep again when informed that you were fine"

"Thank you!"

It was like a huge block of lead had just left my body. Jason was okay! Well, maybe not okay, but alive and recovering. I was a bit sad I couldn't stay with him, but I really had to go home. I could visit him tomorrow.

Three hours later I was sitting in Barry's car, on my way home, wearing some of Wally's clothes that Barry had brought, as mine had been completely ruined. Wally was sitting next to me, glancing worryingly now and again.

"Wally, you keep staring at me. I promise I'm fine"

Wally jumped a bit as if he'd been disassociated for a moment.

"Oh, sorry Robin. I didn't mean to stare" Wally flushed red.

I heard Barry shuffle a laugh.

"It fine. I get it, you're just worried. Completely valid" I assured Wally.

"I can't help it! You got shot! Like, I know the hospital released you, but I'm still worried"

Oh yeah, I hadn't told them that I left against the hospital's wishes. They thought it had been the hospital's decision.

"Wally, they wouldn't have released me if I wasn't fine" I continued to calm him down.

"I know. I'll try to not worry" Wally promised.

"We're here!" Barry called from the front seat.

I had asked Barry to drive me to a location about a block from where I actually lived. I also told them that my parent would be home in a few hours, as to not let Barry meet them.

"Thanks guys, really" I thanked them both.

Wally gave me a careful hug as I exited the car and Barry gave a wave.

"Hopefully we'll meet properly, without you in the hospital" he joked.

"That'd be nice, thanks again" I smiled.

"Absolutely no problem, kid. Now you go home and take care of yourself"

"I will!" I promised.

Then they drove away.

Once they were out of sight I walked home.

I was a bit nervous when I neared our house. I wasn't sure if mom would ask a lot of questions.

I stepped onto the porch.
