Yo! Son Goku and friends! Saiyan Saga (Chapter 50)
Emperor Cold
Salza was shaking in his boots as The Emperor just existing while angry practically tore the roof off the joint. The metal squealed and squelched under his majesty.
EeeeeeARRRRNNNNN~
This is what Gods of Destruction refer to as The Right of the Strong. When you reach above 500,000 battle power or so you don't have to do anything and objects just start bending to your will. Emperor Cold was literally just angry, exercising no deliberate or conscious use of ki and the room was bending and warping anyway due to his anger.
Salza gulped as the floor underneath him shifted and dipped inwards. He politely stepped around and put his back against the corner of the wall.
"Zis roum is dezined four zis. How is he..?" He couldn't stop the rapid and hyperventilating breaths during his thoughts. Interrupting The Emperor right now was a bad idea.
"Where is Prince Vegeta?"
Frieza looked up at the massive stature of his father and breathed out slowly. The air around the two snapped harshly and electricity started to spark.
"He is supposed to have been going to Earth. That is what his flight trajectory last stated when he first went off world."
There was a surge of intensity during the powerful silence that followed Frieza's words.
"And yet his bald little sidekick is back with The Cold Estate?"
WshTOOMMMM!
Emperor Cold's tail slammed into the wall and the entire building shifted off-axis from the blow. Salza almost fell over trying to catch himself from the tilting room. Guards looked on from the outside as the previously upright building leaned to the left harshly. Emperor Cold held his crossed arms in defiance.
"It was you who passed Prince Vegeta's leave was it not?"
"Yes father."
"So?"
"..."
"I can't even breaze. Zis is insane…"
"I'm NOT going to be deprived of my Super Saiyan, Frieza."
"So what do you want me to do?"
"..."
Zzzzt~Krrrrack! PopPopPopPop~Vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvnnnnn
The lightbulbs in the building all cracked and the only light that shined on the pair was the natural lights of the stars behind them from the hallway window. The dull ringing of the machinery in the building punctuated the moment and seemed to amp The Emperor's ferocious staredown.
"I am going to wait patiently for his return, AND When He Does~"
SNAPP!
Lord Frieza ducked low to the ground to dodge his father's cape.
"He's going to have to watch Planet Vegeta explode for such foolishness. We let them have too many luxuries. Prince Vegeta actually thinks that his family is royalty. What a farcical notion. How embarrassing."
Emperor Cold shook his head and put his hand on what couldn't even be called a doorframe anymore and spoke a final time.
"And he Will be back."
The Emperor had called it and he had never been wrong before.
The Emperor stepped out of the hallway and walked its length, bathed in the blue blanket of nighttime. Salza finally let out many bated breaths he had been holding like he had just set the universal record for it. Lord Frieza's tail dipped and swam around.
"Oh dear. Sorry, Prince, but your planet's going to explode." Frieza checked his nails as if it were just another day in the office and not a world ending threat. He sighed out dramatically. "Hehhhh~"
Turles
"Are you serious!?" Fasha's shrill voice shot antagonistically at Bardock. He laughed heartily as Turles stared out into the desert wasteland, the gas having cleared up a bit. "Ugh! I can't stand you, Bardock!"
"Heh-Haugh!"
"Came all this way for nothing."
"My bad, Turles and I did run into some trouble. Bullgokin couldn't tough it out like a Saiyan... that's why we called you."
Bardock shot Turles a quick glance. Turles didn't return the favour, arms crossed and staring into the clearing smoke.
"Teh."
Tora gave Bardock a serious look and nodded his head.
"Well, if I get to waste company time that's fine with me. You guys wanna go get a drink or something?"
"You're speakin' my language!" Bardock replied with a wide smile, flinging his arm over Tora's muted blue Saiyan armour.
Tora breathed out through his nose and Nappa furrowed his brow at the loner Saiyan staring out into the desert.
"You good, Turles?"
"I don't know, Nappa. I just don't want those snakes at The Cold Estate to put their boots on Saiyan necks any longer than they have to."
There was a long silence as the dusty sands kicked up their direction, pulling some of the gas clouds along the wind. Bardock, Tora, and Fasha were far off by now and the pair still stood by their lonesome.
"It's time to go."
"I know."
Nappa shot a double take back at Turles as he mimed grabbing something off the air. The Saiyan raised a brow at the surreal nature of it. He blinked a few times just to make sure.
Tien
"You want me to come with you?"
Raditz was kind of embarrassed to ask but Goku put a reassuring hand on his shoulder as Launch sat inside, looking out the window at the three men. The snow blew harshly and Tien contemplated.
"Why? Isn't this a Saiyan thing? You guys beat the Saiyans so can't you go off and do it yourself?"
Fwuuuuuuuuu~
"There are even stronger people than Vegeta in The Cold Estate. And it's by many times over, not a little margin. I really mean that when I say times. Like Vegeta would get punked out in one hit by these titans."
"Then what does a guy like me get you?"
"Your eyes can see far better than my own. I've seen first hand just how powerful Kakarot's friends are. You guys made me believe. You defeated Me, Tien."
Raditz touched Tien's chest harshly.
"That beam you did is what won the first fight. My brother could have easily beat me after you hit me with that blast. I don't know what you did but that blow could be helpful against The Cold Estate."
"It didn't work against Vegeta…"
Tien was being a little intellectually dishonest. There was no way he was going to pump a full power Tri-Beam at Vegeta since Krillin was right behind him. Tien likely could have killed Vegeta right there but he wasn't going to do that.
"Kakarot has shown me that if there are mountains to climb you can climb them if you so wish. I thought it was complete buffoonery to challenge a power like The Prince and yet here we are, all stronger than him. I wouldn't believe it myself if that girl Bulma hadn't made better devices than The Cold Estate had come up with… that woman is preposterous."
Everyone on the very soon to be Z Fighters was at least 14,000 battle power now. Tien was leading the pack at 21,205. Krillin was last place at 14,034.
Tien let out a laugh-beath, the icy mist swept away by the intense winds. The night lights of the cabin behind him shined brightly and The Crane accepted.
"Yeah. I'm in."
Raditz presented his hand. Tien shook it with firm resolve.
"And I get to meet that crazy kid's parents? I'll never get another chance like this ever again."
"I'm not a kid anymore, Tien." He put his arm around The Crane and they let out some laughs. "Why do you guys always talk like that? Huh-Hah!"
"Well Goku, it's because you weren't an adult and yet you surpassed me, Master Roshi, and Yamcha. It's not normal for a child to outpace adults. I'm never gonna forget that."
Goku's smile faded away into intrigue and Tien looked at him with a palpable earnestness.
"It's all because of you, you know that… right?"
"Know what?"
"You defeated The Demon King Piccolo right in front of me. A little kid." He mimed his right hand over the snow. "Barely this big. Heph~"
The snow blew harshly as Tien shook his head while the two of them still hung onto each other.
"I, I needed to prove that a little kid's drive wasn't going to waste. I wanted to be the best not because you beat me or because you were better than me... but because you weren't scared."
Raditz raised a brow at the tender moment the men in front of him shared.
"I stood up to Piccolo too but I was god damn terrified."
"..."
"I could tell you weren't though~"
The wind blew softly this time, kicking up for the oncoming wave.
"I could see it."
Fwuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~
Krillin
A ding rang out behind him as The New Turtle Grandmaster read with eyes glued on the page. He looked back.
"Krillin!"
"Goku!" He closed the book with one hand and tossed it on the glass coffee table. "Good to see you!"
"We got a favour."
"Shoot, anything for you." Krillin replied, hitting on Goku's chest with the back of his hand.
Goku smiled and looked to his brother for confirmation.
"Ahum!" Raditz cleared his throat and stepped forward. "We need you to come with us to outer space for recruiting."
"Whoa. Now that's pretty big."
Raditz nodded. Krillin turned back around and walked towards the back of the apartment, the whole front wall was just glass that looked out into West City. The brothers shot a glance at each other before meeting him on either side.
"I don't think you know, Raditz. And well, I didn't think you'd care all that much, Goku, but I'm in Law School right now so I'm pretty committed in a lot of directions. That's not even mentioning the tutoring of my students."
"..."
"It's okay if you can't, Krillin."
"Nah, that's not what I said."
Goku's face lit up immediately.
"Just let me finish my semester and we're good to go. I should be done by the time May rolls around."
The younger brother jumped for joy.
"Yes!"
Goku couldn't stop himself and hugged Krillin tight.
"Huh-Haaaa~"
Piccolo
The Demon examined a sparse ruin with many shapes and symbols on the walls. The place was a mess, columns upheaved and turned over. Staircases destroyed and various cracks and breaks in the ground. There were also several missing pieces in the ceiling providing the blue nightlight needed to see. Piccolo's ears twitched and he heard the sound of wind breaking harshly.
He stood up tall.
"Goku." He sensed. "Raditz."
He looked up at the ceiling and soon enough, the brothers descended down into the cavern with steady and controlled flight.
"Son Goku… Mongrel."
"Nice to see that we're on a first name basis, Green Man."
"Hmph."
Piccolo crossed his arms.
"What are you two doing here?"
"What are you doing here, Green Man? After hours archaeological dig? Are you even receiving pay for this? They better be giving my man good benefits"
"... I just like this stuff okay? Now shut the hell up before I kick your ass."
Raditz did stop talking but his shit-eating grin did all the talking it needed to.
"Piccolo. I wanted to talk to you about something."
Piccolo just nodded back towards the rest of the beaten up civilisation. The brothers walked behind The Demon and continued following as he explored the rest of the ruins.
"So what do you want?"
"Me and Raditz were gonna go and try to talk to our family and see if we can convince them to come to Earth or something like that."
Raditz stepped in.
"Look. There's an empire out there in space the likes of which has powers that go so much further beyond what we're capable of."
Piccolo hopped down a ledge and into this sprawling hall. It looked to be some gladiatorial arena or concert hall of some kind. It was impressive in scope. The brothers leaped down and met up with The Namekian.
"... Go on."
"Prince Vegeta is not the strongest force in the universe."
"I mean I pretty much expected that. I wasn't going to assume some spiky haired freak with silly armour was the end all be all for the rest of existence."
Piccolo was making it a hard sell, Raditz made some poor choices to be sure but it was harder than he thought it was going to be.
"Prince Vegeta had to ask permission to come see us."
"What?"
"That arrogant guy you fought? That one who acted like he was the big shot?"
"..." Piccolo had finally turned half of his body language to match Raditz.
"The higher ups could kill him without even blinking."
"..."
The silence was broken not by their conversation but a loose rock falling down from the shitty ceiling.
"Prince Vegeta is nothing, not even on the radar to them. Enough so that me sending him to Arlia doesn't mean all that much in their grand scheme."
"What's Arlia?"
"I forgot you weren't there when that happened…"
"..."
"Anyway~ Look. Kakarot and I want to see if the Saiyans would want to band together to beat The Cold Estate and Lord Frieza. Back on King Kai's planet my brother really wanted to make their injustices known. And this is our chance to liberate. I don't want to fully commit to that, so we're probably just going there to have a conversation with our family and then be on our way."
"So what does this have to do with me?"
"We want you there, Piccolo."
Goku chose the right moment to speak.
"..."
"Piccolo."
"..?"
"You're my rival, right?"
"Yes. Yes I am." He turned his full stoic posture in line with Goku's.
"Then if you're not gonna compete with me on who lands more hits on Lord Frieza I'll have a leg up on you for the next tournament."
"Never in a million years." A smile broke out involuntarily.
Goku presented a fist bump.
Yamcha
The Wolf walked around the loft lazily as the early morning streams poured in from the balcony. He yawned with volume before opening up the sliding glass door and meeting up with The Demon, The Saiyan, and Goku.
"Sup 4 for 5."
"Awhhhhuhhh~"
"We're going to space!"
"Sick. Sign me up." He let out in a breathy yawn.
Bulma
Bulma sat under the well crafted and meticulously designed spaceship, messing with the circuitry using a fine tool, wearing goggles and a messy apron. Mr. Brief stood atop the ship and was welding in the paneling next to a robot companion. A small black cat on his shoulder meowed loudly.
"Scratch. Come on, now. Sit back, I don't want you to get hit by the sparks." He said as he grabbed the pretty black cat by the neck scruff.
"Row."
"I know, but you're dumb and so I need to make sure you're not in the blast zone."
Mr. Brief hopped off the top and walked towards the large doors that opened towards the garage with cat in tow. He was pleasantly surprised to see Yamcha, fixing his circular glasses at the sight.
"Hello, boy!"
"Hey!"
Yamcha gave Scratch a scratch and went on his way, squatting down next to Bulma while she worked on the machinery from below. He swiped at her hair lightly.
"You know you're not supposed to mess with me while I'm working."
"I know."
"Then why did you?" She stopped working and pulled down her goggles.
"I just wanted to ask why you were coming."
"Huh~" She breathed out, clearly offended. "I'm the only one in the group with all my screws tight. If I sent you knuckleheads out into space without me you'd probably die of something stupid like hunger. You wouldn't even make it to the bad guys." She stood up and put the tool in her thick leather pouch, giving him some sass, hands on her hips.
"But apparently these bad guys are the most dangerous they've ever been." He put his hands on her shoulders firmly.
"Yamcha…"
There was no response, they just stared at each other. They did it so long that The Doctor had time to put Scratch away, close the garage door, climb the ship, and get back to work before they started talking again. Bulma shifted her gaze to the floor and let her jaw hang loose in thought.
"You're worried about me?"
"..."
They said nothing and just hugged it out tightly. The warmth was palpable as if it had changed the temperature of the room.
"Yamcha…"
"Hmm?" The pair had their heads over each other's shoulders as they embraced.
"This is the last mission I'm gonna go on."
Yamcha pulled back and they gazed deep into each other once more.
"I know I just pulled that action movie shit on you but… why? You've always been the adventurous type."
She grabbed his hands from her waist and held them tight, she motioned them over to her stomach.
"I don't…"
He blushed.
"I'm not yet."
"Oh."
"But I don't have many more fertile years left, Yamcha. I need to know you're gonna commit to me. I want to have your children."
He swallowed hard and steamed bright red.
"Are we really..?"
She batted her lashes like a schoolgirl.
"Heh~ of course. Of course I will."
"I want this baby in less than two years. I'm Thirty-One, Yamcha…" She pulled him in close to reinforce the importance. "Thirty-One years old."
"..."
"Please don't make me wait…"
Yamcha blinked like it hit him just then.
"Never." He brushed her hair to the side and then looked down at her goggles. He fixed them over her eyes and smiled. "The sooner you get this ship done, the faster we get home. And the faster we get home…"
Her cheeks flushed with red and she kissed him on the x scar, forcing a dumb chuckle out of The Wolf.
Launch
"Are you kiddin' me!? Of couase I'm goin'! Pack the bags right now, Sweetheart!"
"Well Krillin's not gonna be ready to go until May. You think you can wait that long?"
"I can wait foreva'." Launch looked at him like a child looks at candy. She hopped up in excitement and kissed his third eye.
"He-hey!" He laughed out. "You're a freak!"
"Ha-Haaaa!" She blurted out loudly as she hugged him. "I been waitin' a long time fa' this!"
"For what?" He questioned, reciprocating her affections.
"I been waitin' foa' so long to go on an adventcha' with you." She pulled back to meet his eye line. "I waited foreva' for you when you were gone that whole year."
Tien stalled for a moment, he didn't say anything, he just kissed her. The type of kiss that just floors you, only there was just bed, no floor.
"I'm sorry."
"For what!? Stoppin'!? Fuck me like I'm just a trainin' dummy!"
"No, I mean~" He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.
She blushed too.
"Did I go too hard?"
"No-ho, it's not that." He laughed with loose breaths. "I'm just sorry you had to wait for me."
"I'd wait foreva'... you know that right..?" She blurted out quickly.
"...I know you would."
"I mean forever." She drug her hand along the large scar on his chest. "I mean forever, like… even if you didn't love me back... that type of forever."
Tien held back tears as he could somehow just tell she meant every word. She brought him in tight with her arms.
Krillin
The air was thin, Krillin and the two girls behind him trekked up a tall mountain with turtle shells on their backs. The New Turtle Grandmaster shot loose ki blasts at them, they were dim, clearly not possessing much ki in them. Pao deftly dodged and ran along the cliff face. Yulin hiked her left leg up and slapped it out of the air.
"Good! We're getting better! Huh!" He threw a wave this time, forcing the pair to leap high into the air. He went after them.
"Ahh~" Pao instinctively cried out as Krillin started throwing strikes.
She clung tightly to the straps on her turtle shell and fought off Krillin with her left hand.
FshFwshWsh!
"Good!" He proclaimed with a proud smile as he landed.
FSH!
He went for a full commit lunge kick but Yulin hopped two times off the rocks surroundings to dodge and keep her lead ahead of her sister.
"Nice!"
"No fair!" Pao claimed with a shout, trying her hardest to catch back up. "You always win!"
"Then just try harder! I don't know what to tell ya!"
Pao wore a pouty face and Krillin just shrugged his shoulders as he outpaced them all and shot up the mountain steps like a bullet.
"Why don't you have to wear a turtle shell!?"
"I've already finished my training, Yulin. I get to design the lesson plans." He replied with a cocky smile.
"I'm going to beat your ass next, after I'm through with that shaggy haired prick!"
"Good luck, you sure had a hard time landing a hit on 1/4th strength."
"You're bluffing!"
Krillin held the shit-eating smirk and shrugged his shoulders as he turned around.
Turles
Turles stepped in front of a large building labeled:
Ginyu Barracks
Turles was stopped in his tracks by Burter, he didn't even register his presence, he was just already inside the lounge.
"What..?" He asked moments later like he had just woken up.
Burter laughed and sat on the couch. Ginyu looked with some real concern at the Saiyan while the TV played some program.
"Hey!"
Turles looked at his hands like they were foreign. Burter broke out in tears laughing.
"Turles!"
"Yeah?"
"Good god, heh. We've gotta keep things more low-key right now. You or your father being at the crib isn't a good look. Emperor Cold has been in a mood ever since Vegeta's been gone. I don't want to say anything rash but…" Ginyu looked back at his 4 eyed companion. "Guldo and I think he's going to destroy Planet Vegeta."
"What!?"
Ginyu shrugged his shoulders. Turles looked around the room in disbelief.
"So uhh~ I think you should find a spot to lay low, Ginyu HQ is definitely not gonna be the spot. We're not taking the hits for something we didn't do."
"Well I'm not Prince Vegeta, I didn't just go AWOL."
"Then make sure to stay away from Planet Vegeta."
"Fuckin hell…" He put his hands on his hips and looked at the tile, shaking his head.
"Look, Turles." He got up and dusted the Saiyan's armour. "We'll make sure you're safe." He looked around the room and everyone's scouters were already off. "But you gotta remember that the squad is the first and only priority. If you put it in danger before you become a full fledged member, I'm Not going to be forgiving."
Turles furrowed his brow and let his jaw hang low as he thought.
"We've got a few places you could go hang out undercover if The Emperor starts a campaign against the Saiyans. Burter."
As soon as he called it out, there was a map in Turles' hand.
"That's a map for C.O.3. It's for an underground lab there, there's also plenty of provisions that they feed the test subjects. If you play your cards right this could come in handy. But who knows, you may never even need it in the first place. Just thought I'd tell you since you're alright."
Turles stood stunned with the map in his hand. He breathed in slowly and walked adamantly out the door.
Gohan
The night time on Mount Paozu was just beautiful. Goku and Chi-Chi wrapped their arms around each other as they stared at the uninhibited stars, not a hint of pollution, just beautiful explosions of colours and bright dots. Chi-Chi put her head on his chest and he smiled. They looked around for a long time and just said nothing. The Kai student ran his sight along the vast array of stars before the full moon caught his eyes. He couldn't look away, he was absolutely locked onto it. Chi-Chi closed her eyes and just rode out the moment for a while until she opened them and looked at her man.
"Goku. Goku… Honey..?" She had to pull his face away from the moon. "Are you okay?"
His astonishment turned right back into a smile and he spun Chi-Chi around in a gentlemanly way, landing his arms on each side of her neck and holding her tight, his head laying gently on hers. Chi-Chi giggled like a little girl and Goku hugged her even tighter. Gohan looked on at his parents from the window, hands pressed against the glass. His tail jived back and forth and he looked up at the moon, it jived back again and Gohan hopped off the window quick.
Tmp.
"Whew~" He mimed wiping sweat off his tiny brow. "That was close."
There was a long silence. He looked at his tail.
"Is it even true?" He asked no one in particular as he grabbed hold of his brown appendage. He raised his hands and looked at them, balling them into fists. He shook them with determination and ran over to the front door.
Gohan sprinted like a boy on a mission, meeting up on the dirt road his parents were star-gazing from.
"What are you doin' up, little bud?"
Chi-Chi was freaking out a bit but Goku was as cool as could be.
"Do you remember what today is?"
He nodded.
"Well then you know you're supposed to go to bed early on these days. Raditz said so."
"Dad?"
"What's up?" Goku picked him up and Chi-Chi was even more ansty.
"Why is it bad to be a monster?"
"..."
"..." Goku and Chi-Chi just looked at each other for a long time.
"That's just what you, Uncle Raditz, and I are. This is who we are, right?" He pointed at the moon, even going so far as to look at it. Goku didn't stop him either, Chi-Chi winced with a sharp inhale.
Gohan was strong enough to tear his focus from the moon.
"We can't control ourselves, Gohan. That's why." He brushed his longer than usual hair. Chi-Chi finally spoke.
"We should probably cut his hair soon." She replied, walking over to him and combing through it as well.
"Raditz is a full grown adult, and even he can't control it. You can hurt people."
There was a long silence.
"Mom?"
"Yes, dear?" She maintained motherly and focused eye contact as she fixed the hair out of Gohan's face.
"Didn't you always tell me to challenge someone when I think they're wrong?"
"Well honey, I meant that more in an academic sense. Like 2 + 2 equals 4. You know that, so if the teacher gets something you know is wrong then yeah."
"... I think dad is wrong."
Goku and Chi-Chi spared a real and true glance at each other, the likes of which they've never really done. A look of mysticism and unknown.
"Our boy is growing up~" They didn't say it, but that was the vibe the interaction gave off to the both of them.
"We're supposed to be at our strongest during the moon. Why can't we control it?"
They stared at the moon for a long time. Goku smiled.
"Let's try, Gohan."
"What!?"
Goku just gave that characteristic 'I got this' smile. Gohan smiled like he had just been given the birthday present he had been asking for all year.
"Yes! I always wanted to look at the moon!"
"Now Gohan~"
The father and son stared deeply into each other's eyes.
"We do this away from the house and away from your mother, understand?"
Gohan nodded feverishly.
"That means no looking until I tell you to, got it?"
He nodded with the same level of attentiveness and enthusiasm.
"Got it." Gohan replied, Goku rubbed his hair so rough it almost felt like a noogie, his son was so excited however it didn't matter. "Heehee~"
Goku spared a quick glance and waved off his wife with his left hand, walking down the dirt road of Mount Paozu.
"Goku…" She said with a whimper, her hands crossed over the orange scarf atop her breast
Goku
"You ready?" Goku set his son down and started on some stretches, the bright white moonlight shining through the tree leaves in delicate rays.
"Yes."
Goku tapped Gohan on the back and walked him out to a large pond.
"Go on."
Gohan took off his clothes and swam to the middle, the moon reflected in a smooth ripple. Gohan breathed in slow and then out slow. He steadied his breath and turned his focus to the bright circle in the sky, two distinct marks on its shape as he stared at it. Goku put his hands on his hips and breathed out once himself. He readied his energy and started charging up, crackles of electricity sparked around him. Gohan's eyes turned from their deep brown to red on a dime as he locked eyes on the celestial body. His chest pumped, his heart ablaze. It pumped again and echoed throughout his entire being.
His skin turned tough and started sprouting hairs, his mouth started to elongate and he started to growl and howl. Goku took on a stance, ready for anything. Gohan started to transform in front of his eyes and all Goku could think of was his grandfather. A very slight twinge of anger shot through his system but he cast it aside like a professional.
"Grandpa wasn't mad at me so I shouldn't be mad at myself." Goku swept away all of the anger in one phrase, tightening himself for the possible fight.
"GOU~WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!"
Chi-Chi could hear it from inside the home, she tried to calm herself with her breath. Waving in some air with her hands.
Gohan was not nearly as large as Raditz, about 3/5ths of his size, give or take. Great Ape Adolescent Gohan was around 30 feet tall.
Goku stared with seriousness at his son, more seriousness than he had ever shown for any enemy. He was not going to let his son hurt himself or anyone else.
Gohan roared but took no steps, he beat on his chest with ferocity and shockwaves echoed out but he didn't seem all that interested in coming out of the water. After a few more howls Gohan settled down and put his monkey paws into the water below. A tidal wave splashed out in all directions at the force.
SLUOOSHHHHH!
Goku smiled and waved the water over him with a Kiai. Gohan scratched his butt for a moment and then smelled his finger. Goku laughed loudly, enough to turn Gohan's attention to him. Gohan raised a brow. It seemed like Gohan knew Goku was a friendly but still wasn't sure. Goku flew up to his giant monkey-wolf son gently.
"Hey~" He called out with a soothing voice. "It's me."
Gohan turned his right palm upwards and Goku landed in it delicately. The giant monkey turned its head like a dog and maintained a focused stare. Animals from all around stood in awe of the clear apex of their ecosystem.
"Nice to finally meet you, I'm Goku." He waved his right hand off his forehead in a pseudo salute.
Gohan blinked and reared back his head, scratching the bottom of his giant chin as he looked back up at the beautiful yellow orb in the sky.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
Gohan said nothing, he just nodded slowly.
"Can you... understand me?"
The great ape took a moment but then nodded his maw once more.
"Do you know who you are?"
The question seemed too complex for the beast to process.
"Well… that's fine. I know who you are."
The pair stood together and stared at the moon for an eternity.
