A/N: Hello everyone I'm sorry for the late update. I was a little overwhelmed with the news of JDF's passing may he rest in peace. He was my childhood hero I looked up to him I'm back to give you all the next chapter of this fic. So without further adue here is the next chapter.
Chapter 9
"Don't worry guys the power rangers will save us." Ernie said trying to keep everybody calm.
"Yea... Yeah but their is a mmm...Monster right next to us." Skull stuttered.
"Don't worry human I am no threat to you." the strange alien said.
"I forgot to feed my cat this morning." Miss Applebee said worriedly.
Goldar entered the room carrying slop and slid it into the cell with the stranger. "Eat up vile you'll need your strength once Zordetta chooses to need your assistance." Goldar stated.
"What are we suppose to eat?" asked Bulk
"You won't be here long so don't worry human." Goldar snarled back to answer Bulk's question just before he exited the dungeon.
Meanwhile on earth
"Zordon we have found them but we have to find out how to get them back here." Alpha 5 stated
"We could contact Ninjor and Dulcea see if they have any suggestions." Zondar asked
"That is an excellent idea I'll send out the communication channel." Zordon said.
Shortly afterwards both Ninjor and Dulcea appeared on the viewing globe. From their location at the ninjetti temple.
"We are here to assist in any way we can." Ninjor said as Dulcea nodded beside him
"What seems to be the problem Zordon?" Dulcea asked
"We nee your help reaching the rangers, they seem to have disappeared from our time, with no trace of where they ended up." Zordon informed the duo.
"Let us gather some materials and we will meet you in the command center.
In 2004
Once the pizza was delivered the fourteen teens, two toddlers, and six adults sat around the living room. Discussing the events that have them all gathered in the same time.
"I can't believe I live here and teach at the local dojo!" Tommy said around a piece of pizza.
"Hey first don't talk with food in your mouth its rude and bad for my image." Sensei Oliver said. Just then another knock on the door.
"I got it." Jason said from his spot on the small sofa.
Opening the door to reveal Zack, a very pregnant Angela, Rocky, and Aisha. Looking over them Jason noticed Adam's car pulling in the driveway.
"Come on in there is pizza in the kitchen and our younger selves spread out in the living room." he said
Causing everyone behind him to bump into each other. To which Adam voiced his displeasure of being halted in his advances to the door of the dwelling.
"What's the hold up." was all he said from his spot at the rear of the group.
"Alright guys why don't you come in and get comfortable, we will explain as best we can that is." Kimberly said once the rest of the older group got settled."
"So how did you get here?" Rocky asked
"From the information I could gather and deduce it was a time portal that sent us here." Billy said
"So what's the plan here cause we can't just let them run around in the future." Zachary said.
"We also can not return to our time knowing anything from this time." Trini said
"That's true but how can we fix that?" Adam asked.
"I believe we can put something together with the number of geniuses we have here." Haley said
"I'll help said Ethan
"I'm willing to assist" both older and younger Trini said in unison then looked at each other
"Now that's freaky" Conner said.
"Not as freaky as seeing your future kids or knowing about them." Zack said with a pat to Jase's back.
"Everybody that is helping with the memory blocking project lets get to the lab." Dr. C said.
The group of Hailey, Billy, Ethan, both Trinis, head to the lab followed by Dr. C.
It was Adams turn to be shocked when he notice his older counterpart sitting with a strange woman.
"You look a little pale Adam what's wrong?" asked his older self sitting with his strange woman.
"I'm not sure how to explain but the whole trip is really bugging me out, but no offense I don't know the lady sitting next to you." Adam explained.
"Oh, my name is Tanya, I take it we haven't met yet?"
Blushing all Adam could do was shake his head no.
"There is a lot of things we didn't really expect to find in the future." Aisha said
"I bet" Kim said.
"I'm gonna go see if I can help them in the lab." Tanya said
Watching Tanya leave the frog prince watched his wife leave, he looked at his younger self. Studying the features and focusing on the left cheek he didn't see the small scar he'd come to terms with having not long ago. Remembering how he got it he chuckled. Causing the younger versions still in the room gathered wondering what had caused the elder man found funny.
"What's the chuckle for Adam, do you feel like sharing with the rest of the group." Rocky asked.
"No Rocko I'm afraid i cant explain the chuckle, but I will tell you how I know exactly where you all are from. I figured it out watching Adam, that is weird. Anyway how is sitting there all shy and really quiet.
"How is that?" Tommy asked, wondering how he could have figured it out just by looking at his team mate.
"Well you all just got back to Angel Grove about six months ago, your currently battling Zordetta correct?" the frog prince questioned.
"Yeah, that's about right." Angela
"You all had to get the ninja powers, you had just found out who we were as a group?" he questioned again.
"Yeah that was about six months ago." Aisha answered
"1996, so your cousin hasn't contacted you yet. Don't worry she will soon." He said
"ADAM KEVIN PARK, you don't to be giving out information, at least any more information to them than thy already know." Kim said with a look that said this was his only warning.
"Perhaps your right we aren't for sure that they will get everything for the return trip working all the way." he said
"With everybody we have working on the device I have no doubt everything will work out for everybody." Sensei Oliver informed everyone.
Dr. Cranston was on his phone with one of his friends, trying to narrow down a possible way to send his younger self and his friends. Walking and talking around the lab while Hayley and the other geniuses discussed possible ways to send the time traveling rangers home and with no memory of the future. After some time Dr. C had gotten off the phone with a determined look on his face and walked over to the shelf containing some gizmos and gadgets he had been tinkering around with.
After about an hour of working on something Dr. C has what looks to be a Nintendo 64 with multiple controller jacks. With each jack having a sensor shaped as a wrist band each one designed to match each ranger that is out of their time right now.
"How's the memory sensor dampeners going Ethan?" Billy asked as he put the finishing touches on the program to run on the computer.
"I've almost got them installed on the headbands." Ethan replied.
The two devices would be connected by wires running from the headband to the wristband, then from the wristband to the memory box. From there its ran to the big computer for backup and connection to the created time portal program.
"The backup file is setup and ready." Dr. C said
"Memory cells installed and ready." Hayley said just a few moments later.
"Alright we have everything ready to block the memories, but how are we going to send them back physically?" Tanya asked as she overheard everything.
"I was thinkin about that why don't we try to contact Zondar he should be Re-energized by now." Dr. C said
"That's a good idea honey I'll see if I can make contact with him." Hayley said.
Meanwhile back in 1994
Ninjor made his way to the command center with a few items he had that could help.
"We still have the items from the body switching incident maybe they could be of some assistance." Zondar said informing Zordon, Alpha. and Ninjor of items at their disposal. Ninjor, Alpha, and Zondar quickly got to work on a time device. All of a sudden the three realized they still have no idea where to look.
"Aye yi yi if we get a device working we still have to find them." Alpha said worriedly.
"Isn't there a way to scan for them Zordon." Ninjor asked.
"Why don't we scan back through the viewing globe." suggested Zondar.
Alpha walked over to the console and started scanning the area for the multicolored superheroes. With no results in Angel Grove he let out a stream of Aye yi yi. Getting flustered due to the rangers not being found in the future Angel Grove.
"Calm down Alpha try increasing the ranges, time and try again." Zordon said
Doing as suggested he searched again this time faint signals were found in the town of Reefside.
"I found faint traces of their energy signatures." Alpha informed the others in the command center.
"Alright now we must find a way to increase the signal then we can bring them back." Ninjor said.
The same time in 2004
In the lab the group worked together expertly to put together the memory eraser and portal creator. Billy walked over to inspect both devices. Looking at them closely he makes the assumption they will work. Before they could test either of them the computer signaled a monster attack in downtown Reefside.
"Rangers we have trouble?" Dr. C said from the bottom of the stairs.
Unknowingly he got the attention of all the rangers up the stairs, all of a sudden eleven teens rushed down the stairs. Followed by the adults. Gathering together they were all informed of what was happening downtown.
"Whats the problem Dr. C?" Tommy asked.
"I believe that my line Conner said.
Hayley turned away from the computer. "Looks like Messagog sent Zeltrex and some tyranodrones down to terrorize the citizens." She said
The dino rangers took that as their cue to go and defend not only the town but the world as well.
"Ready!" Conner said sliding into position
"Ready!" the others said
"Dino Thunder Power Up!" They said in unison, hopping on their raptor cycles and ATVs the six rangers left the Dino lab.
While the future rangers were battling the baddies of their time. A portal opened in the lab and out stepped Zondar.
"You requested my presents Hayley?" He said
"Yes we thought we could use your assistance with out current problem with rangers out of time." she informed him.
Shocked he looked around the room he noticed the youthful faces he has not seen in years. Causing him to become overwhelmed and needing to sit down. Only one question was on his mind. "How?" he muttered out.
Stepping forward Billy explained everything to Zondar leaving him reeling from the news from his past.
"We have to get you back, and fast before something happens that can't be reversed." Zondar said and looking at him you could tell how much this scared him. The fear in his voiced magnified the look in his eyes, after he spoke he shot up out from his seat he collapsed into and started running test using a device from his time with Zordon.
"These devices are good to go." he said.
Moments later the Dino Thunder team returned after Zeltrex retreated. They walk in to the lab and noticed the morphin team standing around waiting to use the devices that would send them home.
"You found a way to send them home already?" Kira asked
"We did and we have to send them back as quickly as possible before something irreversible happens." Jason said.
The rangers made sure to say goodbye to everybody before they all grouped together to stand under the beams of the memory eraser right in front of the growing portal behind them. Once they all have been under the effect of the memory machine the portal swelled up and enveloped them, transporting them back through time dropping them out in the Angel Grove park. They were sent back to their time however not the same day it was so they have been missing for a few days. Looking around they see cars turned over and buildings on fire, upon closer inspection they see the humanoid responsible. Across the park they see Amelia, swinging her sword and causing the earth to change shape (creators, mud pillars, stuff like that)
"Guys we have to stop her." Tommy said.
"Right!" they all said still shaking the effects of the recent memory loss.
They quickly charged into action to which they find themselves surrounded by the skullbots and Amelia.
"Well rangers how nice of you to show up." Amelia snarled
"Looks like you've been doing more than looking for us." Zack said gesturing to the destruction around them.
"Well I had to entertain my comrades" Amelia said just before she sent the skullbots to attack the rangers. As the skullbots attacked the rangers she stood back and just wave her hands around mumbling words in her native tounge. Focusing on the two rangers fighting by themselves. She focused on them and put all of her emotions into the spell she was casting causing them to grow weaker.
Jumping into action they quickly broke off into smaller groups to spread out the skullbots. Billy and Zack grouped with Angela and Adam. The four of them worked together but the sheer numbers of the skullbots were not allowing them to cause much damage. Similar problems were happening all around Jason, Trini, Rocky and Aisha were having trouble even with the martial arts training. Tommy and Kimberly were able to evade the attacks using their dancing style of fight however they couldn't land an attack. The more they tried the more they were countered and pushed back. Tommy being as protective as he was kept Kimberly from getting hit and took most of the attacks.
"Guys we need to regr-mph." Tommy tried saying and was kicked down by a skullbot. All over the park the rangers were getting knocked down and having to force themselves back to their feet.
"I believe its best we evacuate the vicinity promptly." Billy said
"Billy's right we have to go." Trini said.
They manage to break away from their current encounter and teleported out just in time to evade the incoming attack from the skullbots.
Landing in the command center Tommy falls causing the rest o them to rush toward him. Jason and Rocky picked up and carried him to the Medical bay. Alpha followed to connect the scanning equipment to the leader of the Power Rangers.
"Kimberly what happened out there?" Alpha asked as worked on Tommy.
"I'm not really sure, we fought the skullbots and Amelia was there and she seem to be avoiding us mostly, I've never seen the skullbots fighting that strong before." Kimberly explained.
"Was she making any hand gestures of any kind?" asked Zordon
"Come to think of it she was slowly spinning her fingers mumbling something." Aisha said
"Just as i feared who was she most focused on besides our young falcon?" Zordon asked. Just after he asked his question Kimberly hit the floor.
"Kimberly" everyone said as Rocky and Jason bent down to pick her up.
Placing her on the medical table next to Tommy, so Alpha could get her hooked up to the scanners and monitor her as he had been for Tommy.
"Zordon what do we do?" Trini asked worry in her voice.
Billy quickly moved to help Alpha work to find out what was wrong with their friends.
"From the look of things their vitals appear to be normal." Aisha said.
"We really should go check in with our parents we don't know how long we were gone." Zack said.
"I'm not leaving them here alone!" Jason stated determination in his voice.
Rangers your teammates will be fine for the time being really nothing that we can do until Billy checks the scans time." Zordon said trying to keep his composure as he started to flicker in and out of his tube.
"Whoa Zordon are you ok?" Rocky asked having never seen his mentor fade out before.
"Ra..n..gers Be ...Ful." Zordon faded out before his warning could be uttered.
"Where did he go?" Angela whined.
"Aye yi yi I'm not sure rangers I'll start scanning for him right away." Alpha-5 said.
Billy started studying the scans from Tommy and Kimberly as Alpha stated scanning for any trace of where Zordon disappeared to.
On the moon
Zandra was standing in her quarters (Rita's former Room) in front of the mirror of communication casting the spell that would drag Zordon to his trap.
"Welcome home baby boy." Zandra snarled at her son.
"How am I here? and how am I not dyeing." he thought
"Simple I brought you here, you wont be able to help those power brats of yours, you and your father put to much faith in the light of goodness." Zandra snapped
"You never understood the power of choice mother, you would rather force people to bend the way you want them." Zordon replied.
"It seems my way yields results and your trapped in the glass box with me, and your precious power rangers are on a fools errand." Zandra explained
"Mother you truly are an evil person if your willing to take innocent life or brainwash children." Zordon said
"You can all me what you will but I use my followers better than you do as it appears I'm winning the war and I've just captured the enemies king. she said
"You took my wife and then stole my child after Zordetta and Rita trapped me in my time warp." Zordon said Just then she entered the room.
"Hello dear brother, you will be detained here until your brilliant daughter is finished torturing your beloved falcon and crane." She gleefully explained.
"What have done to them?" Zordon demanded
"Now if I told you that dear brother it wouldn't be a surprise now would it!" Zordetta snarled
Back on Earth
"I don't understand what's going on they have perfect vitals but for whatever reason they are not waking up." Trini said trying not to freak out.
"Guys! we have another problem Zordon gone." Adam said as he ran into the medical bay
"What!" was the only reaction from the rest of the group.
"Alpha can you scan for him see if there is any way to track him down, anything that can hopefully lead us to his whereabouts not mater how faint." Zondar asked
Aye yi yi yi I'll try my best the scanning didn't go well the first time I'll se what I can find." Alpha replied as he headed toward the console.
"What are we suppose to do now?" Rocky asked.
"Guys we have to pull it together we've been in tougher spots than this and still come out victorious." Jason said slipping into his former role as leader while Tommy is out of commission.
Meanwhile inside the minds of Tommy and Kimberly
"Oh! Man where am I?" Tommy asked out loud.
"That's a good question, came the familiar voice of Kimberly.
"Welcome to your destruction rangers." A bone chillin voice came from behind them. Turning they notice the form of Tommy's Green ranger counterpart.
"What do you want Tommy snapped shifting between Kimberly and the green ranger.
"Always the protector huh. With a flick of his wrist and a light shot out from the dragon dagger, dragging Kimberly through the air and tied her to the tree.
"KIMBERLY!" Tommy shouted.
"She'll be fine until I destroy you." said the green ranger
"You'll never defeat me" Tommy stated with determination.
At this point the green ranger launched into a flying kick which Tommy ducked and countered with a snap kick once the green ranger landed. Taking the time he rushed over to Kimberly to try and free her, however when he touched the rope her was shocked.
"Man I can't get the rope off Kim." Tommy said
"Its ok I'll be alright, LOOK OUT!" she said shouting the last of her words.
The fight resumed as Tommy turned and was met with a foot to the chest."You'll have to defeat me if you wish to free the pink ranger." the green ranger snarled.
"That's it just defeat you and we go free?" Tommy said
"That's right." was the green rangers reply.
Reaching behind his back Tommy pulled out his morpher and called "Its Morphin Time! White Falcon!" Once morphed he quickly pulled Saba from the scabbard on his hip and charged the green ranger.
Blocks, slashes, and perrys ensued but Tommy acting quickly after blocking the slash from the dragon dagger with Saba followed by a spin kick causing the green ranger to stumble and drop the dragon dagger. Scooping up the discarded weapon Tommy brought both down on the unsuspecting green ranger in a cross pattern causing the green ranger to fall for the last time and disintegrate. After the victory over his former ranger power Kimberly was released and they both faded away.
Back in the command center
Billy and Trini were checking on Tommy and Kimberly. As soon as they walked through the doorway for the medical bay they noticed the two were awake and starting to move.
"Oh man that was brutal." Tommy said as he shifted into a sitting position with his feet hanging over the side of the bed.
"What was brutal?" Trini asked.
"My battle in my dreams, I guess that's the best way to describe it." Tommy explained
"Well not to magnify the already terrible predicament but Zordon has disappeared." Billy said
"What?" Tommy and Kimberly said in unison.
"Alpha is working on a way to track him." Trini informed the two of them as they stood and the group walked to the main chamber. Billy resumed his position next to Alpha working to find Zordon.
Up on the moon
"You and father had me exiled and for that I will do everything within my power to make sure you and your band of misfits fail." Zordetta stated.
"You are the one that gave the all important power sphere of the sector to the one person that would cause the most damage to our family." Zordon calmly explained.
"That person is my husband and the father or your nephew. So tell me how is he the worse person to hold the purple sector's power sphere!" Zordetta snarled at her bother her anger very evident.
"You won't get away with this my rangers will stop you." Zordon bellowed.
"You have no idea what I'm capable of, I've improved since jour last sword fight on Eltar." she boasted
Zordon chose this time to remain quiet. He didn't need to continue to him a pointless conversation with his misguided sister.
"What's the matter baby boy you have nothing more to add?" Zandra wondered.
"A wize man knows when it i best to not open his mouth." Zordon answered
"You dare speak to your mother that way." Zandra snarled
"You may carry the name and war her face however my mother died a long time ago when she chose to learn the ways of dark magic." Zordon explained.
Upon hearing him Zandra charged the mirror holding him prisoner only to be stopped by Zordetta. "Get out of my way!" Zandra snarled.
"No mother we can't shatter his prison or his essents will spread through everything. Also we won't have anything to draw out the rangers." Zordetta informed her enraged mother.
"Fine!" Zandra shouted just before storming off. Zordetta then turned to Zordon "Why?" she asked
"She hasn't been my mother for a long time I've missed the woman I remember as Mother." Zordon explained
"Well how about I take your new family from you the same way I took your daughter, or maybe your wife." Zordetta said
"You are truly evil sister, you bring up the loss of my family as though they are material objects when in fact they continue to be my world, and the reason to keep fighting." Zordon stated.
Zordetta stood there faux inspiration in her reaction. Folding her hands over each other acting as if she is hanging on every word her brother is saying.
"OH god you really hold on to THINGS that are long gone to you, you've lost them my dear brother move on." Zordetta calmly stated as she walked out leaving Zordon alone in the dark.
Back on Earth
The parents of the Power Rangers have gathered at the Duhma house to welcome the new additions to each family. The children were all being dropped off by the adoption agency, It was a personal touch by the caseworker for the families.
"When are they suppose to arrive?" Melissa asked
"I'm not sure Mel, they should be arriving soon though." Caroline stated.
Before anyone else could say another word a white suburban pulled up in front of the house.
"Alright kids lets go meet your families." Miss Callaway said sweetly.
"I'm kind of nervous, what if they changed their minds?" the little Hispanic boy said from the backseat.
"Hey, you wouldn't have made it this far if they didn't want you." Miss Callaway explained to the boy and ultimately to the other three children.
